Friendly staff, comfortable room

I like the location and the price for the area. It’s always super clean. Angela, the very rude person at the front desk. She has absolutely no business working in customer service and the hospitality industry. She had the most nasty attitude I have ever experienced at a hotel front desk. Nicki was the best person we encountered as Angela’s replacement. Nicki 100% goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and is so pleasant and helpful.

TV in our room did not connect to WiFi and it took several days and numerous staff to look at it , but finally got it connected. Also.. lighted mirror in bathroom did not work, but we never mentioned it to housekeeping. Pool area was very small with only 6-7 lounge chairs. Hotel is not on beachside… as it appears in their photos, but is across the street. You can access the beach by crossing the street (w/o a crosswalk) and walk down a very long narrow dirt path to the beach. I will have to say all staff were very nice and tried their best to make our stay nice. About 10 min walk to Coligny Beach and shopping.👍

I booked a king room with a balcony. When we got there, we checked in, parked pretty far away, carried our luggage to out room only to find 2 queen beds. Noone informed us of a room change prior to walking in and finding out ourselves. It would have been nice to be informed when checking in at least. When i went back down to the desk to ask i was told there was probably a maintenence problem.They did offer us a free breakfast for the inconvenience but it doesn't change the bed size. When we checked out the women at the desk asked how our stay was. I explained again and she replied with oh your are supposed to have a free breakfast and a sorry. We declined the breakfast and she said ok you're good. No thank you. The parking is pretty far away from the hotel, they did have someone driving a golf cart to give you a ride back to the hotel which was nice when you have a lot to carry. Also cookies and waters when you checked in. Other than not being thanked for staying there the staff was friendly. The room was clean. The beds were not very comfortable, on the firm side. I sat in the desk chair and all most fell over backwards, that probably needed replaced. The tv was good. Over all it wasnt horrible but definitely did not live up to my expectations, which aren't that high.

I asked the waitress to warm my food that I had plated from the breakfast buffet. The kitchen staff came out and adjusted the warming table after that request.

Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was excellent. They help without hesitation when we had a problem. The gym looks new with up to date equipment. Beach access is across the street. Close to everything. Will be staying here on our next trip. Btw... buffet breakfast was very good and well priced. The staff in the restaurant was fantastic also.

We had a very small balcony no one could stand comfortably nor was there any room for a chair to for on it, my housekeeper walked in or room while my husband wedd half naked and there was a DND on the door and walked in twice. So this will definitely be my last time staying at this property.

Nicki was our check in staff and she was wonderful. She suggested restaurants and other things that were so much fun!

Didn’t use the pool as it was too cold. Convenient location to Coligny Beach Park…easy walk whether on the beach or sidewalk. Was very disappointed that there was not a complimentary breakfast. Parking is extremely limited. Best to park, if you can find a spot, then walk to other places

The staff were very polite and professional. The room was nice and clean. We had a very restful night, mattress was quite comfortable surprisingly. And the welcome bag of complimentary water and cookies were a very nice touch! Would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent condition, friendly staff, located a 5 min walk from the beach, surrounded by lots of dining and other activities. room was big, bed and pillows very comfortable. Shower was excellent. Room air conditioner a little noisy when compared to central systems but not bad. Overall a great place to stay. Will use whenever we go to Hilton Head

Was glad there was help with parking, thought breakfast should have been included item with stay - not the premium items but basic breakfast, most staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall good stay.

Directions to the hotel was a little confusing, but we had a wonderful stay. Though it rained, dining options were still plentiful so we did not have to leave. The rooms were very clean and the staff was delightful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our suite was spacious and equipped with every amenity listed along with a microwave and stove. The hotel was located within walking or biking distance from the beach, coligny park, and even shopping stores. The entire staff maintained the highest quality of professionalism, friendly, and greeted each customer with a smile. I worked definitely stay here again and also refer others. The only minor issue I experienced was- that the laminate floor in our room needed to be swept, thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a hard floor powered mop( I will request this upon my next visit). The tables, desk, and headboard also needed to be wiped down with disinfectant wipes. I brought my own lysol and clorox wipes and wiped down everything in the room. I believe that any issue can be resolved. Overall, our stay was comfortable, quiet, and pleasant.

Everything was nice. You could hear the people in the rooms above and beside but its a hotel. The only issue we really had was parking...not nearly enough spaces for the guests at the hotel.

Nice place to stay.

The property itself was very nice. When we tried to check in, we were given a room, but when we went to it, somebody was already in it. It took a half hour to get another room. In our second room, the toilet clogged. We called multiple times to have it fixed. They ended up moving us to another room. The room they moved it to smelled terrible. Also, the balcony door wouldn’t open.

All good except for a periodic musty smell.

Beautiful bathroom! Everything looks new and clean. Pool was too cold for me, but I expected that due to the overnight low temperatures. I would highly recommend this hotel. I hope to come back!

I booked this hotel because of the great experience I had last year. Upon arrival, I must admit I became a little skeptical when I learned the hotel had changed ownership or management. Many changes were taking place even during my one-week stay. The complimentary breakfast was replaced by a bar/restaurant and what appeared to be a meeting room was being built. Apparently, last year I had been upgraded to a suite because my room this year was much smaller. This room overlooked some equipment and had no access to the balcony which I really enjoyed last year. This year my room was much smaller with two queen-size beds, a desk chair and a padded chair. The large TV, refrigerator and microwave all worked very well. Honestly, I think this room would be very crowded for more than two people. With all that being said, I will say the room, bathroom and everything were very clean. What makes this place so great is its outstanding staff. Every single person from the front desk, to the maintenance, to management to housekeepers is the best. They are all so willing to help and they always had fresh, hot coffee in the front lobby. Another reason I like this hotel is the size. So many of the hotels in Hilton Head are just massive. This hotel is much smaller, close to beach access and just a 10-minute walk to restaurants and shopping. Also, as a single traveler, I always felt safe here. When I return to Hilton Head, I will stay here.

Got there and they were training a new front desk person, great! Takes 15min to check in, get to our room and our keys don’t work, go back down, get “fixed”, still don’t work, they check with master key - it’s the lock. They go back down for 30min and then they switch us rooms. On 2nd day the key to that room doesn’t work. In new room - get to sleep and the alarm in the next room starts going off from midnight to 7am - tell them about it and it takes them an hour to figure it out. Onto it off they have biscuits at breakfast with no gravy both mornings.

Hotel now the Doubletree with lots of construction onsite to make the conversion. Early morning noise inside and outside during my stay 8/15-8/18/2024. Understandable but still unexpected and did wake me up

Hotel is currently undergoing major renovations, including a new name and sign. Room was very comfotable, wkth a fridge, microwave, huge tv, and updated decor. Bike and beach chair rental in parking lot. Breakfast was ok considering the breakfast area was under construction.

Four of us stayed for two nights in June. Clean room, nice pool area, and tasty breakfast. Also easy walk to the beach. Nice stay.

It was under construction our whole stay but it did not say that on the website. Pictures on the website were very misleading. Had a fire alarm go off our first night 3 different times. Had no water one day due to a pipe breaking and then no hot water later on that same day. Overall very disappointed.

It was a nice weekend

I believe the property is transitioning to a Hilton in the coming week. There was some construction going on and what looked like new furniture coming in. The gym was out of service. The rooms had a dampness and mustiness to them. Although there are humidifiers in the room, you still need to empty them when they’re full. However, with all that said the hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious and nice.

This properties info and pics are so misleading! Construction was present in the hotel during my stay and was never mentioned. The building is very old but has been partially renovated. The balcony over the pool wasn’t even usable. The sliding doors to the balcony weren’t renewed, therefore a swarm of flying insects entered my room every night. And it was very expensive for nothing! Just horrible experience!!!

With a huff she asked how long we were staying and gave us some keys to a room. The next day after returning from the beach we went to use our keys for the room and the door showed yellow. After standing at the front desk for 5 mins with no one working it we were told the battery was going out on the door but she gave me new keys. After getting into the room the water was turned off with no notice to anyone in the hotel with no update on when the water would be turned back on please note my family had just come back from the beach covered in sand and ready for a shower and some rest. Breakfast we subpar a lot of construction was going on in the building on our floor and the main floor. no signs or hey please excuse our mess notices. This is our second time staying here and it will be our last. This is an annual trip for our family but we will use other locations from here on out. When I asked to use my hilton number I was told they were tied to Hilton but all branding said different.

We got a last minute deal for just one night. The hotel is under some construction and were told it is about to become a DoubleTree? by the end of August. The rooms are redone, nicely appointed and clean. Not the Four Seasons, but certainly on par with a Hampton or Courtyard. It looks like the lobby will be very nice once completed. Parking is OK? Not a ton of spots, but enough around the property to find a place. The staff was pleasant and helpful, but probably due to the transition of brands, not quite as polished and trained as a well managed mainstream brand. That said, they tried and were helpful, I'll take it. Overall great location and nice enough for the price.

The hotel was just decent. For that price, it should have been EXCELLENT. The customer service did not meet my expectations. The lady at the front desk did not seem like she even wanted to be there. Very rude. There was NO parking at all. We had to pray for a parking space. Also, there weren't any chargers for my Tesla. When we pay this type of price for a hotel room, this needs to be the standard. I will never be staying there again.

Although they are updating the building, it was still a nice place to stay. Clean rooms. Had pumps in shower for shampoo conditioner and shower wash and lotion by the sink. Pool was small. Path to beach right across the street. Comfortable bed. Good variety for breakfast.

Under lots of construction. Little parking, Breakfast so late in the day and not early enough to get to it. The receptionist were short, unfriendly and unhelpful. They all had such a random rude aggression and attitude. everything was an inconvenience to just be checked in to them. I didn’t even want to go down to let them be aware of the black hairs and pubic hairs in the shower and on the counters. I went through hotels.com and expedias card had been declined at the hotel at the end of my stay so checking out early in the morning i had to pay double the amount for their failed service's. Then the receptionist said i had to call Expedia for a refund but that should be on them because i paid. There was no phone number it was a nightmare to get ahold of anything while traveling no less! This was the utmost sadden experience to end my vacation. And the only good thing was it was at the end of my vacation that i had unexpected payments. Thats so horrible to go through while ten hours away from home and having a planned amount of money to things. Get your stuff together. This is a hospitality business. AND THEN. Hotels.com had the audacity to only want to refund the amount the hotel charged me to be SLY, instead of refunding me what i paid them for their failed services. PUH

We didn’t have hot water the first day. Our shower was lukewarm at best. The maintenance gentleman was condescending and rude. However, to his credit he did later return to fix the hot water issue. We were thankful for that. The room was nice and clean. The hotel is close in proximity to the beach. Not a good representation of a Hilton product.

Great service

The hotel was ok they were doing some renovations so some areas were off limits. However my biggest issue was there was not enough parking around the hotel for the number of rooms they had. Had ropark down a long dark alley which was about 1/3 mile from hotel at night alone in the rain.

Beautiful, clean, very nice staff, across the street from the beach. Love it. Staying here again when we come back in August.

I didn't like how I had to wait very long time for the breakfast to refill,also had to wait to use the waffle maker ( it only had one ) and the toaster wasn't even working properly and it had a long line to wait for everything ...meaning breakfast...everything else was good

While they are going through some renovations we weren’t affected at all by the progress. Looks like the upgrades will be really nice. Parking and check in was quick and easy and the staff was all friendly and helpful. Rooms were big and spacious and the pool area was nice w/ seemingly new furniture. Breakfast was ok but I imagine the new restaurant will be a huge upgrade. The biggest selling point was proximity to the beach. Little path directly across the street. 5min walk to the beach. Sunrise was great. If you can stand some remodeling don’t hesitate to stay here. Pros far outweigh the cons and the property will be higher end when complete!

We had an enjoyable stay. I also lost my car key and they searched my room for me and held onto it for a week.

I cannot support this hotel, as the customer service is lacking, the room smells like mold, there are bugs and broken glass around the building, the Ice Maker is not working, and the washer and dryer are far away from the hotel. The room was disgusting during my three-day stay, as they never brought me any sheets, bed linens, or towels, nor did they pick up the trash or provide fresh towels. There were constant fights among guests, with police coming in and out. I am extremely disappointed with Expedia.

Nice hotel for the price. It's currently being renovated and while there were minimal interruptions the common areas were a little on the disorganized side.

Great location near the beach. The hotel is undergoing renovations which made it a little messy. Our room was OK but it was not explained to us that we needed to request housekeeping when we checked in so imagine our surprise when we came back on the 2nd day to a messy room and was then told we needed to ask ahead of time... Also, when asked if we could have someone bring us at least some clean towels, was told that we needed to come to the front desk. This is a hotel right? Finally breakfast was listed to be served until 10 am but if you go there after 9 there was little food and no coffee available. Milk served out of a half gallon container. I expected more from this hotel

When we arrived we found parking quickly. The entire lobby smelled of paint when we walked in as they were clearly under Construction. We were greeted by someone at the front desk who didn't smile and greet us warmly at all. It was at about 8PM when we checked in. The room was damp and the sheets felt wet it was so humid in the room even with the air conditioner on. This made it for an uncomfortable night of sleep. We were awakened at 8AM by Construction with sounds of hammering the wall and chairs being scraped across the floor. The breakfast was eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. In my opinion, the quality of the food was very poor. No healthy options but bananas and apples wrapped in plastic. Overall, we will not be coming back. We only stayed one night so I can not speak to the rest of the experience.

I liked the fact that the beach and eateries were close by. Parking wasn’t the greatest, which needs some improvement.

The hotel was convenient to Coligny Beach. The room was clean and spacious. The pool area was well maintained. There is not enough parking. If you can't park in front of or next to the building, you have to park down the alley. It is a little inconvenient and not safe.

Nice beach access. Pool is small and over crowded. Most staff is unfriendly or does not speak English. Rooms are clean and it’s affordable.

She needs to go and when I stated I was going to bring up her issues with the manager she she said that she couldn't be fired. Overall, the rooms need updating as our AC unit and mini-fridge leaked water all over the floor. The night front desk stated it was not her issue. Which means there is a good chance of a serious BLACK MOLD infestation.

Pool was ok, close to the beach, parking wasn’t great, Shelly at the front desk was nice. Bed was uncomfortable, toilet didn’t work, water tasted and smelled awful, the room was $367 for one night and we just hoped for a better stay.

The property was under construction, so there was no real counter when you walked in. It was hard to tell who was working and who was just lazing around. When we got to our room, there was a big smear of feces on the back of the bathroom door. We saw the cleaners in the hall and tipped them to come in and clean it. The fridge door didn’t shut properly. The walls were very thin and we heard fighting on one side and partying at 2 am on the other. When we went down for breakfast, the dining room smelled like bad food, so we didn’t even go in. We tried both days and it was the same. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
