    I waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk so I can discuss canceling the reservation. No one came, nor did anyone answer my call or message. The hotel will look nice once finished but you do not force visitors to your city to stay in a construction zone. The hotel still billed my credit card which is unacceptable.

    The understanding the hotel is going towards a construction phase -No breakfast (understandable) -One towel that should have been changed out -Peeling paint in the bathroom ceiling -Mold in the shower ceiling area Despite the construction going on, still have to maintain things are of working and good condition.

    Property was a mess and under renovation which was not reflected when we reserved. We travel with a registered service animal and the front desk demanded to see his paperwork. We provided said documentation then educated him that he is not legally allowed to ask for that. He doubled down and began to argue with us. Pool was out of service, and no breakfast or coffee was provided as the amenities listed they were all available. Absolutely terrible stay and would not recommend to anyone.

    This hotel is under a complete renovation which was not listed on hotels.com. When we arrived to check in there were construction materials on pallets sitting on either side of the entrance. The entire indoor pool area was also stacked with materials for the renovation. There was drywall chunks spread throught the hallways to the room as well as other bits of construction trash including pieces of insulation. The carpet in the room had stains as well as a 'balb' spot. When we told the people at the desk they claimed this was stated on their website and that they had notified the third party seller about it. There is nothing listed on their website and several of the reviews of the place dated August of 2025 claim the same thing. The hotel refused to do anything about it. To top it all off, they had 2 towels for a room booked for 4 people and when we returned from our work event the 2nd night and asked for 2 more towels they said they were out of towels for the night because of limited staff. They are blatantly lying about being up front avout the conditions of the hotel and shouldn't even be open while the construction is happening.

    They’re doing construction on the hotel currently. No heads up was given about this. The hallway was trashed. Garbage and dead bugs in the corners leading down to the rooms. My room was not clean. I don’t think they cleaned before we checked in. There were no towels provided and when we finally got them (after asking twice) they were stained. The sheets were stained and I haven’t stopped itching since sleeping there.

    Well the first room we got put in had brown sludge running down the walls, massive chunks of wall missing and filthy, the second room didn’t have working tv, outlets hanging out of the wall and my son got stuck in the bathroom due to the door getting stuck on the tile. We ended up leaving and finding a different establishment.

    One of the rooms my son was ate up by bedbugs.. I understand the renovations but all rooms smelled like water had been settling in. I do however believe once renovations are complete this is be a better stay. until then sorry I wont be back.

    It's under construction so I understand some of the mess. We knew going in that it was being remodeled. At check in we are informed the elevator is broken. Are room is on the 3rd floor. We are told we had to wait 10 mins for them to clean the room so we gave the 30 mins and room was still destroyed. Smoke smell all through our floor it was disgusting. Light in shower had no cover and showed exposed wires. Had I been able to find another hotel I would have left.

    Looks like they’re going through a remodel, which is fine. Problem was that the halls were filthy with scattered trash. Was also a lack of staffing/security, because when I left my room to go check out there were homeless people sleeping in the hallway.

    - The entire hotel was under construction and the was construction debris in all of the common areas. - The first room that we were given had a broken lock. The knob that the latch fit over was broken from the door frame. The was a security risk so I asked for another room. - The second room that we were given was dirty from the previous occupants. The room had not been cleaned and the beds had not been made. - The third room we were given, the key did not work. This room was located on a floor with damage to the the walls in the hall and with debris scattered on the floor. At this point, with three failed attempts to check into a habitable room, we abandoned our reservation and drove the 1 1/4 hours (at 1:30 am) to Memphis and checked into the hotel for which we had a 2-night reservation the following day. Since our experience at the Clarion hotel was so bad, may I ask for a refund?

    Checked in after midnight, guy passed out in parking lot, 3 men yelling jibberish in lobby, no towels, hair in shower, stains on sheets. I certainly didn’t feel safe but after driving 10 hours I had to stop. Picked wrong hotel obviously.

    Check in was great. The room was terrible due to the rust, mold, bloody sheets, TV not working. Blood on the blanket as well. Shoe prints on pillowcases. No towels in room.Ask to be moved to another room and was told we had to pay for a different room. Then was told they had no other room. We was told they had a flood and pipes busted and that no one had been in this room in a very long time so thats why it wasn't clean. Called hotel.com and gave them my complaints and offered 20 dollars.This clearly a health violation to rent a room with mold. There were no other hotels within a 50 miles radius. All hotels are booked up due to a college homecoming. Oh the guy at the desk gave us three sheets and told us there were no more blankets which were for a full size bed!!

    The property needs a lot of work. The carpets are filthy, and the rooms are pretty beat up. They were pet friendly, and accommodating. Our first room was discussing. The promptly changed our room. The second room was better. The bathroom was clean, and the bed was clean and comfortable. Which tells me the staff care. I won’t be staying there again.

    Pictures on site does not reflect the actual hotel. The hotel in general was dirty. You wouldn't want to walk barefoot in the room carpet. We found little roaches in the bedroom. We had NO room service for the whole week, even after asking. The pool is cloudy, and not saltwater or chlorinated, and is ice cold. The beds are super uncomfortable. The breakfast is not as advertised. The only hot food is a waffle maker or you get a package of instant oatmeal- but you have to use the hotwater from the coffee maker in your room to eat it. Theres no hot water in the breakfast area. There'c ceral and bagles and juice. No protein. They were "waiting in a truck" for the past 8 days. When you check in, they charge a $50 deposit, that actually gets taken from your account, not just put on hold, in addition to what is charged on this site.

    Our truck broke down on our way back to Michigan, and we came across this place online. The pictures online did not match the actual room.The room was clean, but the carpet had stains, tub would not drain. Even the area to park and check into the hotel was filthy with stained concrete, cigarette butts, and unkempt, not well-manicured. Staff at the front desk were unfriendly, except for one lady who checked us in. We did not feel safe in this place. There were police outside every day, several times a day, and sketchy peoplele in the parking lot, and on our last day, we booked another, nicer hotel in a better area for the rest of our stay. I don't recommend staying here.

    The superior room with a king bed was very spacious, and it even came with an extremely comfortable couch so I would recommend that. Our bathroom had a huge walk in shower and we loved that. The indoor pool was unfortunately under maintenance work so it was closed, and that was the main reason we booked that certain hotel, so we were disappointed about that. The king bed was very comfortable. The check in/check out desk ladies were very friendly. The people in the next door room had very loud kids at late hours of the night. It seemed like the walls were thin. The housekeeping lady knocked on the door and walked into our room at 10:40am when check out wasn’t until 11:00am so that needs to be addressed with housekeeping for them to make sure they start with the rooms that have already been checked out.. maybe get a list of them who have checked out before the actual check out time.

    The gentleman at the counter was nice, and the only nice thing about this place. The room smelt bad, our shoes stuck to the floor. The pull out mattress looked like a crime scene. There was crayon scribbles all over the walls, and the furniture was gross.

    This hotel has the potential to be really nice….but it needs a LOT of love. The gentleman that checked me in never cracked a smile. Looked really bored. Answered my questions, ie. Why the $50 Room Deposit when the room is already paid? The $20 pet fee was reasonable. The room was big, and seemed clean; bed was comfortable; TV had one channel, no internet connection, no directions. Did not call desk because we were tired, and did not want to disturb the bored fellow. Reported to clerk the next day, at checkout. Only one key provided for two people, and when questioned, “one key”, the clerk just said “yes”. Outlets were old, plugs fell out of one….loose. No lamp on my side of bed, so scooted the floor lamp closer so I could read. AND the $50 room deposit is still on my card. I will not stay there again.

    We arrived on time, checked in, but the property looked terrible!! Nothing like the picture. We went into the room and it was filthy!! Stains on the carpet and the bed. The room had a bad smell! My wife and I couldn't stay there. We spoked to the receptionist about it and she didn't look presentable at all for a receptionist. We want to another hotel down the road instead. I called Hotels.com to see if we could get a refund, because the hotel didn't look at all like the pictures on line "False advertisement " I received an email saying we couldn't get a refund we are very frustrated and disappointed with the hotel and Hotels.com!! Never using them again!!

    Looks like hotel started and then stopped Remodle half way. The service was not the best, we had to ask multiple normal times for towels. Informed the front desk that the lights did not work in kitchen on the second day and it still was not fixed when we checked out. The indoor pool was very cold. We stayed on the fifth floor and the doors leading to the suites was broken at the bottom. The ceiling tiles had water stains on a couple by our bathroom in suite 534 and a couple tiles were popped up and not laying flat. We had a quick stay and looked to save money and we got what we paid for. The reviews said six out of ten, but I would say four out of ten at best. The breakfast items on Friday morning were a lot of choices and by Sunday we had to ask for plates, milk was out someone else had to ask for that, and we decided to go to McDonald’s for breakfast.

    Staff was very helpful and friendly. Carpet in hallway and room was stained and or dirty. Breakfast was a bad experience. Hockey puck muffins. Waffle maker didn't have nonstick spray, no yogurt, watered down waffle mix. No milk. On the bright side, they had packages of oatmeal, which you had to get hot water from the lobby. One ice machine on ground floor.

    The parking lot was well lit at night. Nice Italian restaurant across the street. The room was clean with a few rough edges. Missing picture on the wall, and worn furniture in the room. The only big problem was breakfast, limited amounts of everything except coffee, there was no coffee in the breakfast room. There were two packs of coffee in the room. If the coffee machine is broken, fix it or get a coffee pump pot.

    First, when I checked in they didn't tell me about the $20/night pet fee. The next day, they deactivated my room card instead of calling me about the fee. I was locked out with my lunch and dog in my arms. Carpet was dirty.. dirtied my fresh socks. On check in only 1 bath towel in room for 4 night stay..Was on 3rd floor & had to go to 1st to get ice...what a disaster....

    First time i went to a small hotel during the week (WED) and there was a wedding going on. With DJ blasting music i can here in my room. I asked when would be turned off they said till 1230 am. Clean but very basic accommodations with super old towels and mix match furniture. not like the pics at all. We were driving thru to WV, so we were very tired and had no patience for any of this so we stayed.

    So while she was trying to cancel our reservation I went next door to make a reservation that was pet friendly! When I returned to make sure the cancellation when through she inform me she just out they were pet friendly form her owners but she responded to me no one had ever told he that. I have not had a chance yet to see if they actually cancel my stay.

    This actually was the worst hotel I've ever encountered.. First, I will say that the customer service was awesome the front desk guy was very friendly. The cleanliness was horrible..Ther were roaches on the mirror and walls when we walked in, the bathroom looked unclean and there was mold and mildew on the ceiling.... My family and I left just as quick as we checked in.

    We had a suite for me and my husband and 4 kids. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. After traveling 14 hours we were exhausted so we just needed somewhere to lay our heads.     This is easily one of THE worst hotels I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. And I have stayed in some doozies. The place was beyond filthy. Cockroaches. Leftover open food in the cabinets. Dirty towels, dead bugs, food, used toilet paper under the bathroom counter. Breakfast wasn't available as advertised. Building isn't secured as entry/exit doors are broken. Creepy people lingering outside the rooms in the halls overnight. Carpet was so filthy and stained I had to throw my socks away. Rude staff. Need I continue? Don't trust the other terrible reviews - believe me, it's worse. I would have slept in my car if I didn't have my cat with me. As they (are supposed to) serve food, the health department should shut this hotel hellscape down. Hopefully the fire marshall does.

    The front desk personnel was very pleasant and kind. We had no problems with the service. And our Room was very cool...the air worked Great! However we experienced several problems. There was blood on the carpet in 2 of our rooms. There was dried up blood on one of the pillow cases on our so called "Clean" bed. There was hair in the shower and the shower curtain hadn't been cleaned in MONTHS... The coating on the tub was chipping to the point we wore sandals in the shower. There was black ring in the grout which I believe to be mold. I appreciated the price...and I guess you get what you pay for. we only slept there on our way through town. Pay 30 dollars more and stay anywhere else.

    The hotel looks fancier than it is. The reception area is nice enough, but the rooms are grungy and in desperate need of updating and cleaning. The bedding is stained and so is the carpet. Cleaning appears to be minimal. We saw cockroaches and my husband has multiple bits from them. We will not stay here again.

    Upon checking in, the customer service person was not friendly or helpful. His system was down and he couldn’t check me in. Wouldn’t give me information on how long it was down or when it might come back up. Told me to come back in 30 minutes. Had no restroom for my grandsons to use after driving for hours. Never seen a hotel without guests bathrooms in lobby. The bathtub had the enamel peeling off inside the tub. Grandson could not take a bath. The only positive experience was the mattress was comfortable. I will not be staying at a Clarion again.

    Horrible stay: Air was stale as soon as we opened the door. Tub and toilet were not cleaned and found hair on the towels and floor. Bed was like sleeping on a box spring. They also dont put mattress covers on. Should turn them over to the Board of Health. Hair dryer had chocolate or something brown? We shouldnt have to do our own disinfecting. Buyer beware: Stay away

    Hotel was good, nice large clean room, good air conditioning, except the bed only had a box springs made up on it, there was not a mattress, which made a very uncomfortable night sleep, hopefully that will get rectified for other travelers

    We arrived at the hotel in the early morning due to a problem on the road and they did not give us our room, they were very rude and did not return our money. My booking company couldn't do anything because of their absurd policies, there were 8 hours of time left and they didn't respect it, I don't recommend it at all.

    Much larger and nicer on the inside than I expected. Very spacious lobby and rooms. Bed was comfortable and the property was quiet. Lots of dining options within walking distance right off the bypass

    We decided to stay here in spite of the poor reviews because we were in a bind. We had a choice between two 2-star hotels and chose this one. The facilities seems to be still going under renovation as seen in our room where some things were new like the lampshades, but some things were in poor shape like the bathtub. It was not properly cleaned - a used bar of soap was still in the soapdish. The fiberglass tub/shower looked like it had been painted. And it was beginning to peel in several places. It was not a pleasant experience taking a shower in there. sheets and towels were clean. The towels were very thin and flimsy and you could easily use 2 to 3 to dry off after your shower. The desk clerk was friendly enough, but seemed to be more interested in phone calls coming in and people walking through the lobby. Check in seemed to take a long time. I saw references to the hundred dollar deposit in the reviews and sure enough he charged that to my credit card. I’m not sure why though unless they experience a lot of damage from other clients. Definitely don’t stay here unless you’re in a real bind and want to go on the cheap side.

    The Shower is out dated in room 309 the paint is pealing in shower. Roaches cawling around Fridge and on table. They come out of no where when food is being cooked. The Mircowave still runs the fan even when off. had to unplug. Hair in n sink by door. Had to do a deep clean and santitize the enire Room myself. I have stayed here many times in the past with no problems.

    We knew that staying here would not be perfect. The price of the room was cheap so we knew it would have its quirks. But after inspecting FOUR different hotel rooms, it wasn’t worth sleeping there for three nights with a one year old. There was black mold, cockroaches, white powder substance, and water stains in each of the 4 rooms the hotel employee gave us keycards for. Thankfully after the fourth room he gave us our refund.

    The check in was a shock to know I had to pay an additional 50$ deposit. And then the room was okay but smelled of cats and another order o couldn't identify. The breakfast bar was not as advertised. It was fine but not really worth the extra 20$ when you can go across the street and get waffle house.

    Looks a lot better in pics . Bed was ok , tiny tv , very outdated place in general . The light in shower is a ceiling fixture and a shock hazard . Very unsafe . We didn’t bother with the breakfast . Would not stay again ! But the Italian restaurant across the street was great . Best part of the stay

    Disappointing. Old and outdated. No USB ports, so bring your charger. Shower leaking. Bugs In room (had to switch rooms). Worst coffee I ever tasted. No contactless payment options. Might as well have stayed at a discount motel, because it wasn’t cheap. Soiled carpet, and dirty windows. Only positives was the Large room with a sofa, and the great location.

    I had pre-paid my reservation, but they could not process it on the computer so I was required to pay in cash before I was given a key. The bathtub was peeling from paint hotel is in as is condition as the renovating there was no breakfast, which was part of the deal so clearly it was overrated and under delivering.

    Old and wore out. Parking lot dirty which is an indication of property condition. Hall ways dark, light bulbs out. Bathtub wore out falling apart. Carpet stained, I would suggest you wear your socks. White bed sheets semi clean but had stains and holes. Room furniture wore out and full of damage. Lots of signs taped all over the place with instructions from the staff. Very amateurish.

    There is nothing welcoming in the lobby or in the room. The room was dark, only 1 bulb in bedside lamp that hold 2 bulbs. As a senior low light is hard. The room had funnky smelll. One bedside light bulb flickered on off had to turn it off. The other side had no lamp so i moved one from desk. The bathroom was hideous. The tub was peeling, a towel bar was falling off the wall. The showerhead was broken. Water was everywhere. I didnt expect high end at the price point, but it was pretty disgusting. At check, i barely understood the man. When i asked about returning deposit a customer said they wont return it you smoke. The man at the looked bewildered. When i checked the was rude. I wanted her to know i had pulled out the sofa away from wall to retrieve my earring, lots of trash there.

    After searching many locations, I had chose this hotel because it had an indoor swimming pool. The price was quite a bit higher than other hotels but due to the safe location, cleanliness, well known reputation as well as the indoor pool. I had my grandson, 5 years old, for the weekend and I had promised to carry him swimming but unfortunately it had been raining nonstop. So wanting to keep my promise and make him happy I spent the extra money so he could get to swim. The host was very polite upon arrival but unfortunately after paying, I find out after my grandson ran to the pool saying why isn’t there any water in the pool and the host stated the pool was closed, of course already exhausting my options we stayed. My grandson asked repeatedly and could not understand why there was no water in the pool after trying to explain and calm him. So unfortunately this stay was a total waste and disaster.😔

    Carpet was filthy.. Had to go out and purchase some cleaning 😌 products just to sanitize and wipe things down.. Wasn't a good experience at.. if i could have gotten a refund i would have paid $50 a nite to stay somewhere else.. Not sure if they where privately owned but i believe Hotels.com need to make visits to some of the hotels.. CLARION HAS LEFT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH.. THE ENTIRE HOTEL NEED TO BE RENOVATED FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM.. NEVER WILL STAY THERE AGAIN..

    The hotel was in a state of remodel...the air in the hotel was hot, it took FOREVER for the room to cool down ....found some dead cockroaches on the floor of the room....rooms were fairly nice but bathrooms were very dated....couldn't get staff to answer calls or questions when I had a few...5 out of 10 stars

    While I checked in the person checking me in talked on the phone. The carpet is nasty and the room layout was strange. The bathroom had hairs all over. The only nice thing about this place was the lobby area was decent and the price, but the price was not worth the nastiness of the room.
