Rooms could be updated but they were clean

The floor should have been vacuum a lot better and the bathroom needs a lot of work, needs a new bath tub, the bottom of it was soft and cracked plus it was rough and the shower curtain rod had plenty of rust on it

A couple steps up from camping in a tent. We had a place to sleep, shower, and watch a little tv. Towels smelled and looked like poo. Maybe invest in new ones or clean your washing machines. Shower needed maintenance. TV worked alright, air/heat worked. Toilet worked. No weird smells, except the towels. Carpet looked clean. Some dusty areas. The walls need wiped down they’re kinda gross. Bedding looked and smelled okay. Spent about 11 hours total in our room. It was quiet. The staff were nice. Breakfast was not it. We went to a local restaurant. $120 a night is a bit much.

Inexpensive place to stay.

The staff was very friendly. Cleaning people need to pay attention tion to detail more. The AC unit for example was filthy like it was never cleaned. For the most part it was fine

The towels are old and have holes. The walls need washing, and the clientele is a bit rough around the edges. Breakfast is bare bones and it doesn't offer much. The staff was friendly but not very attentive and the price was good.

Very clean, good breakfast, and nice parking

The front desk staff was friendly and the hotel was conveniently located off the highway. However, our bed was advertised as a queen, but looked and felt like a full. The bathroom tub was peeling and stained and the paint job was pretty sloppy so the bathroom just felt creepy. The carpet was dull and needed a good shampoo. We didn’t bring this up to the front desk staff because what could they really do, and we didn’t feel like arguing for a refund. Instead, we left the wedding we were attending in the area early and drove back to Chicago. The thought of waking up in that room was too depressing. This hotel had 4.5 stars. I’ve stayed at much, much worse but in the realm of this price point I’d give it 1.5/5. If the tub wasn’t peeling and stained I’d give it 3/5. To me, 3 stars means clean but bare bones. It’s never acceptable for a bathroom to look gross, even if it isn’t technically dirty.

Felt unsafe around area and place should be listed as a motel and not as a hotel. Originally planned on staying 3 nights but after checking in and exchanging 3 rooms due to moldy bathrooms, moldy AC vents, and just plain dirty all over, we decided to cancelled the rest of our reservation altogethers.

Mr.Ketan called us when he found we left our Mercedes car key in the room. We really appreciate him and we want to thank him for helping us!!! Nice employees

the breakfast was poor, the room didn't have a mirror on the wall, the room had automatic light, when you wake up at night it bothers the other person, also they were calling me asking when I was leaving before 11:00, basically kicking me out before the check out time which is 11:00 am..

Great service

Staff was great. Made a call to the front desk for a hair dryer and they were there with two minutes. It appeared they were doing some updates with paint and caulking. The room was clean, although the bathtub could use a deep surface cleaner. I think that is an age problem, not housekeeping. The parking lot was well lit with plenty of spaces. I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast cramped and minimum

This hotel is the cheapest of the clean hotels which is right where I aim to be. This place will be my pick every time I'm in Joliet.

It was easy to check in and the employee was very nice. The location is a little intimidating at night time but overall the hotel was very nice. The room wasn't the cleanest and it could have been updated. The bathroom door wouldn't close/lock. Overall I was satisfied with the room and staff. The breakfast was cereal, bagels and waffles. I would stay here again if I needed too.

The staff at the hotel were very nice. The breakfast was waffles, cereal, toast, yogurt, and some individual packaged baked goods (Hostess type goods). The hotel needs a major renovation. The carpet in my room was badly stained and there was a moldy coffee pouch in the coffee maker. The bed was pretty comfortable. If you do stay here, the best place to eat is Louie's Waffle House. The food and staff are fantastic!!

The bathroom needs work. The finish on the tub was damaged and the toilet rocked. The website said the room with a queen bed was 340 sqft. We measured; it was 177sqft, including the bathroom and the walls. It was 15'8" from the window to the door, and 11'3" wide. It felt very cramped and was not what was des ribed on their website.

Curtains were detached at one end but still covered windows. Carpet in the room was a bit old/dingy.

Breakfast was pretty slim at 7 AM. No eggs or anything like that. Just Waffles or cereal. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast wasnt much.

The beds were oversized doubles, not real queen size beds. As well as providing clean but wet towels when freshening up the room

There was what appeared to be urine stains on the wall opposite the toilet. The cable TV was limited. We paid for a room with two queen beds and the beds were a full size at best. The staff was banging down the door promptly at 11 as we were getting ready to walk out. This was a Monday night. There is no way they need in the room that quick to turn it around for the following night.

The lady in the front desk was terrible and horrible she made up her own policies she said nobody is allowed in my room she also said I have to do housekeeping everyday that I can't clean it myself she charged me an extra $150 when I left I also had the cops called on me because I asked her to show me her policies that states that nobody is allowed in my room and that I have to get housekeeping everyday the police determine that I was in the right and she was completely in the wrong very rude and ignorant I've never been treated like this in my life and she also accused me of having a pet in my room which I didn't she was upset so decided to charge me extra when I left I would not recommend this place to anybody at least when she's working I had no problems with any other person except for the lady in the front. I'm definitely giving a terrible review about them on Google

Front desk staff was fine, family owners were a bit weird and lurking. Pet fee is exorbitant given I could have stayed fee-free at the M6 right behind, no let walking area or bags provided, had to walk the surrounding neighborhood. "Hot breakfast" is a bit misleading as the only thing hot-ish is the bad coffee and waffles. No eggs, etc. That said, it was conveniently located for my needs and the accessibile room was easy to navigaate and provided a shower stool.

The only issue was the condition of the bathroom ceiling: water damage has not been repaired.

You can tell that this hotel works hard to keep everything clean. I personally am highly allergic to cigarette smoke and residue. I think the smell is from a long time ago and it just cant be 100% gone. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful.

Staff were very welcoming, parking was easy, AC was functioning and not loud, sheets were clean, bed was comfy, decent breakfast options, and most importantly for me, cat friendly. For what they offer at their price point, I think I couldn't have found a better place for the night in this area.

For one night stay, it is okay. Did not expect too much at this price point. Saw some people roam around in parking lot. I was really worried about my car. But anyway, there was nothing happened to my car. It could be just my unnecessary nervousness.

AC kept the room cool. Motel 6 immediately behind the Super 8 had a guy that played loud music until after midnight. I kept waiting for someone to call the cops. The music blasted till just after midnight!

The floor was nasty the bathroom ceiling was peeling like they can’t get a painter to come in and repaint it. The bathtub was peeling.. The parking lot was full of cigarette butts.

Very clean and quiet. Conveniently located to the Joliet Historical museum and the Rock & Roll museum.

Room was very clean. Looks to be recently updated. Parking was convenient to the room. Staff was very pleasant. Price was very reasonable. Would recommend and will stay again.

The door latch was also very confusing. We seem to be locked in at one point until we figured it out. No instructions present.

Pet policy not clearly stated on website. I would have booked a different hotel. $60 later and being chewed out by the front staff was unwelcome. I erroneously believed I’d pre-paid for my pets and the front desk said I’d paid in full when I checked in. I’ve never had a problem with Super 8…I do now.

Clean staff

The only complaint I have is the space between the shower panels and ceiling of the bathroom needs a little work. Otherwise it’s a 5+ from us.

It was fine for one night while traveling. Staff was okay but not super friendly or welcoming.

Check in was pretty easy but the “queen beds” are definitely not Queen. I have a queen bed at home and me and my husband were struggling to be comfortable. This was definitely two full size beds our friend also let use know there bed was smaller the. A queen

Person next door had television on very loud. Spoke to front desk attendant, he knocked on door and it was turned down a bit but was on all night and I had to sleep with a pillow over my ears.

This motel was a very decent price per night. It was clean enough. The breakfast was okay, not quite as many options as some places. The staff were very nice and helpful. When we arrived we realized we had stayed there before, and given the opportunity we would likely stay there again.

This was our second stay in Joliet. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. We much appreciated the kindness of the staff. We'll be back!

Couldn’t plug in the hairdryer in the vanity plug. Mirror is in the way. What a crummy layout. Toilet seat was loose. Dated facility. Had to wait 10 minutes for the desk clerk to come to the front desk.

- Vacuuming next door at 7:12am - Towels so worn out they are shredding, have holes and literally you can see through them? - The room door ends 2" above the floor so the hall lights are coming in and you can hear every conversation walking by. - The wall insulation is so bad you can here everything from the rooms next door and above you. I stayed here a couple of years ago and it wasn't like this... Let's just say I will not be back.

This is a clean and quiet no frills hotel. I chose it for economical rates and convenient location (close to interstates.) I was impressed with the hard-working and graciously courteous management. I’ll stay here again.

A couple other things were amiss, but did not affect the stay. Behind TV, cords and a box were hanging loosely. Screen on window was ripped. Everything else was as expected. The powerful bed chemical smell was the main factor for the low review. Otherwise the stay was as expected for a budget price.

The exterior and lobby are nice for a Super 8. The first thing I noticed when we entered our room, however, is that it has carpet with many stains. The top cover on the bed was stained, as well. For the price, what can you expect? The hotel was very easy on and off the highway. An okay, quick overnight stop on our way out west.

We stayed for two nights. When we checked in, we asked for a hairdryer, but were told they didn’t provide one. However, when we came back on the second day, the room had been cleaned and a hairdryer was kindly placed under the sink. Very thoughtful and much appreciated.

The property was right off of a main road. Very limited dining options.

For starters, the hotel itself is fairly nice & the beds are clean and comfortable. The desk attendants were friendly. The towels could go for being replaced, they were pretty worn out. The parking lot is pretty small. But the area around the hotel is not good at all. If it wasn’t for the area l would rate it higher, but i wouldn’t stay here again.

Smooth check in

The room initially assigned smoked cigarette. Besides, there was food still in the refrigerator and the bathroom was not cleaned. Manager assigned another room which had a broken refrigerator.

It was a nice room. Clean but the rig had some lint, a couple sunflower seeds by the air unit and that unit was dirty. Moldy even. The room was really quite though. The bed confortable.

We traveled from FL to Joliet for a wedding. Most of the reviews for other lower cost hotels were not good. The reviews for Super 8 were much better and proved to be as such. Staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. They do housekeeping each day. The breakfast included waffles, toast, bagels, pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt and juices. No formal lobby, but plenty of tables to eat at. Comfy beds and quiet.

The hotel was clean & staff was very friendly. Overall, it was a really nice hotel. We stayed 3 nights! Only real drawback was that it is located right in front of the Motel 6.

We are traveling with a dog. We are grateful for the affordability. I wish the carpet was shampooed more frequently.

When we checked in the desk person was great when we checked out there was no one to be found. At breakfast I noticed the desk person was braiding the housekeepers hair. Maybe a little more attention to the guests.

Really nice people and a clean room

It's a Super 8. It's dirty, it's poorly maintained. This is par for the course, not so much a "complaint" as a "fact of life that warrants reporting." When you pay this little for a hotel, the experience isn't going to blow you away.

Bed was not a queen, bathroom was dirty, tub had a cracked floor and the toilet wasn’t even secured to the floor. Room was very small compared to what the pictures portrayed.

The hotel was very clean. I did not do the breakfast because it was too early, but there was an excellent breakfast right across the street. Overall I had an excellent experience.

I made a booking online and took a taxi there two hours early, because their website said that early check-in was possible, and I've never had any problems with this at other Super 8 hotels. However, I was yelled at by an angry manager who told me that if I wanted to check in, I had to pay an additional 40&. I said okay, I'll wait two hours in the lobby.But he kicked me and another person who came early outside in the heat and said that we couldn't stay there and that we had to clean it. I canceled and walked to a nearby hotel. Please return my money.

For an economy hotel, this facility was clean, staff was friendly & beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay here for future visits.

Staff was friendly. Room was adorable, however, the chair was filthy and I had to clean it. The tub had hair from previous people. Woke up at 5:30am to fire alarm for almost an hour. Left by 8am

I was injecting insulin and I ended up cutting my self with the syringe because of her banging on the door and screaming Front Desk at check out time!!!!

I was assessed an early check in fee when I arrived before 3pm. Later on when I called back to get an updated receipt staff were rude over the phone. They claimed they could only print it and they did not have the ability to send it in an email.

It was alright

Room was clean and spacious; however at 5 ft I found it very difficult to get in and out of the bed. Staff was nice and pleasant. No vending machines for soda or snacks and area was a bit iffy.

Poor job of remodeling the bathroom was not clean the room was not clean the rug was not clean and the bed sheets was stained
