The view of the water, but you look over a plaza that has a white plastic event tent in and, therefore, distracting from the view. Loud event music and conversation at fire pits into the night. Emphasis here is on events (the wedding was more impacting), not guests stay. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel (but are a short walk away), no valet parking, or luggage assistance. The staff were fine but seem generally distracted; I think that is the focus on event activities. They can charge the high rates because there is no other waterfront hotel in Kirkland.

Noe customer services to speak of. No valet parking, only self- parking in a garage built for compact cars. No room service No bar or coffee available in the lobby. The view is nice, beds are comfortable, but it is a hotel without its own services.

Since it was the birthday month for two of us, we were upgraded to a room with a beautiful view, which made our stay extra special. The location is lovely, close to shops, restaurants, and attractions. We especially enjoyed the complimentary snack bar with great drink options. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Beautiful views, comfortable room, slept like babies in the comfortable bed. RAID THE PANTRY!!! (It’s a fun thing to do if you need a snack after 10pm)

This has been THE most pleasant stay experience! The location is beautiful, and the environment at both inside and out super comfy and inviting. We were welcomed by Randal who was able to check us in super early and tell us about amazing amenities available - from restaurants on site to free champagne any time we stopped by the front desk and the late night pantry closet with snacks! Oh and also the fire pits all day at the lake with the view of the marina and the mountains! We had breakfast at Carillon Kitchen which was absolutely delicious and we could conveniently charge it to the room. We also had dinner at El Encanto which was also delightful! And right in front of the hotel was a floating sauna which we booked and enjoyed along with a polar plunge in lake Washington. Oh and we also took advantage of the hotel’s free bike rental and went up to Rails to Trails - very beautiful and fun ride and the bikes were quality (helmets and locks were included!). Really, really recommend this place!!!

Hotel was beautiful and right on the water, staff was super friendly, was nice to have so many seating options inside and outside, especially by the fire pits outside!

After walking all the way to the gym and not being able to access it, I went to the desk and was told I needed a different key. That may be something that should be covered at check in. And when sitting in the lobby, enjoying the view or fireplace, the front desk staff may want to consider talking more quietly among themselves as the sound really travels throughout the space. It diminished the peaceful environment. Otherwise, the stay was absolutely lovely! Such a great setting and location. We hope to be back soon!

I loved the location and the view. The hotel was very nice. We usually stay at the Marriott in Redmond, and this hotel was a tad bit nicer. We will definitely go back.

Annoying that EXPEDIA buries the hotel’s “Resort fee in an obscure link. Also annoying the hotel even charges a resort fee when no benefit is delineated beyond paddle boards and beach cruisers: not tempting in December in the PNW.

Had an amazing stay!

I have stayed at Woodmark several times and each time it exceeds expectations. Beautiful setting on the water, the rooms are gorgeous, and staff is amazing!

First of all, for a 5-star hotel. I pulled up to think we would have valet parking, we were told this was not the case. We had to self park the car and unload our own luggage. No problem right well when we roll the cart inside, we were told that our room was upstairs and we had to carry our luggage upstairs. The staff did not help us out whatsoever. When we got into the room, we noticed there was no control for the TV, we had to order up one of those, when I called to get ice, they kindly notified me where it was on the floor above and in a different building. Finally when I was going to check out, I asked to extend my stay by one hour, she looked at the list of people who were checking out at noon and told me sorry, I can only let you stay until 1130. We have a bunch of other people staying till noon. Very thoughtful.

As lovely as it was 30 years ago. This is a beautiful property, well-maintained and managed. Highly recommend it.

Highly recommend. The late night raid the pantry was a million dollar idea. The room was soooo clean and quiet. Only wish they had a late night bar but it was glorious and we will be back!

The staff is great and typically meets your eyes with a smile. The room was spotless and comfortable. There is no microwave in the room. The hotel has ample parking and great spots to socialize outside your room.. The popup bar was fun. The only negative was that if you room is street side, you could get woken up at 5am by garbage trucks making a lot of noise on a Friday morning. Wear earplugs Thursday night. I wished the restaurant on the property was open past 2pm. The grounds are beautiful and walkable. The water view is great.

The location of the Woodmark is exceptional. Our room was substandard and the property had lots of vacancies. We were given a room that must’ve been next to a mechanical room of some sort as we heard a loud humming all night long. In addition, there is no room service of any sort in the evenings, we got in a bit late and at 10:15 PM. We’re hoping to find something to eat. They had a closet with some chips and cookies and even though there are three restaurants in the complex none were open. The property could use some updating. Staff was very nice and tried to be helpful, but unfortunately the services are just very limited.

Right on Lake Washington. Fabulous views. Love sitting outside around the gas fire pits, sipping complementary champagne. The staff here is very warm and welcoming. Restaurants have amazing food and right on the water. It’s a amazing experience staying here. At night I can see downtown Seattle lights in the far distance. It’s our favorite place.

Great location. I loved the customer service. Paid $700/night Canadian with all the fees. Was a bit pricey for not having an outdoor or indoor pool. I had to ask for some amenities, to be brought to my room (slippers). I feel like for the price should already be in there. The washroom could use more amenities. The pantry room was excellent. Nice treat

Then the toilet in the room broke - and it took three calls to the guest services for someone to come and fix it. And no pool or hot tub. Stay away. Top dollars for bottom experience.

From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel like I wasn’t just checking in—I was being welcomed home. The service? Impeccable. The views? Straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. The room was spotless, stylish, and had the kind of coziness that makes you question your current living situation. What truly sets the Woodmark apart though is the little things: the champagne at check in, the lakeside serenity that makes your morning coffee taste 10x better, the pantry raid, and the kind of staff that greet you like you’re a regular even if it’s your first time. Also: that location? Chef’s kiss. It’s close enough to downtown Kirkland to walk, but far enough that you still feel like you’ve escaped somewhere exclusive.

There were two weddings at the same time downstairs. Didn’t know this was a wedding venue and a hotel. Not very relaxing. Could not use the hang out area in front of the hotel. No pool either.

We celebrated a 55th Wedding Anniversary with family and the resort. Staff went above and beyond our expectations!

The staff were super kind and accommodating, even when I asked them to wipe off the spiders on the bike 😅. (I ended up finding one more spider while riding and stood there with one shoe off waiting to smash it. definitely got some interesting looks 🤣). The rooms are super clean, and the partial lake view from my window was lovely. I also didn’t realize until I arrived that it doubles as a wedding venue, so it can get lively on the main level during events. Luckily, I was on the top floor so it didn’t bother me much, though there was a couple having a bit of “trouble in paradise” up there, which I’m pretty sure the whole floor heard 👀. Lastly, I thought the "raid the pantry" late at night was fun. perfect for those late‑night munchies 🍵🍦

My VIP status with Expedia got me a free room upgrade. The room was amazing with lake views. There was a complementary bottle of champagne and literally everything about the room screamed luxurious.

Beautifully managed property with lovely staff, kind gracious and professional. My daughter and I travel a lot around the world and this is five star service. The spa is wonderful excellent value and technicians. Best to get a room on the lake as the breeze is lovely. Not to worry if you don't, the lake is close by and you can walk just outside of the hotel

The hotel stay was so nice and walking around was so beautiful. Across the way we went to this little restaurant that served salads and I think that was the best and freshest salad I ever had. The grounds were so clean and scenic. I highly recommend this hotel. The employees were beyond friendly. I give it 4 stars and beyond!

The property only provided 2 towels for 2 guests. I typically use a towel for my heair and one for my body. To make things worse a spider fell from one ot the towels into the bath tub. I had asked for late check out but that was ignored and we had to quickly vacate at 11:00am.

I have been here several times and this was my favorite place. This time I was a little disappointed.

Beautiful surroundings. Very walkable into town. Like our last day the hotel is great and the staff are mediocre. They do not make any effort to go out of their way to provide you with a common request. A normal position for young people. But we’re old people that are used to “service with a smile.” Not happening at the Woodmark! We will return for the positive reasons. But we have very low expectations of the staff.

We love the Woodmark. The location is excellent, and the hotel is pet-friendly so we can bring our dog with us. The walk along the water is darling, while the room is clean and comfortable. Every staff member that we have encountered had been friendly and kind, that's why we typically elected to stay here when we are in the area visiting.

Late night free snacks and drinks were just what we needed as we arrived late and all restaurants have closed. The welcome champagne was also heart warming gesture. The view of the lake outside the hotel was just absolutely breathtaking! Would want to come back again for another relaxed stay!

We stayed for three days/nights for a squash tournament. The service was outstanding and the hotel was busy. The “Raid The Pantry” offering at the hotel was a game changer for our teenage boy. It rained constantly while we were there and there was an event every day/evening so using the nice area behind the hotel was not possible.

It’s been over 15 years since I last stayed here since we’re locals but staying here for Mother’s Day weekend felt like a true getaway! From the champagne at check-in to the spa on-site, and dining options all in walkable distances. I’ll definitely be booking again for another staycation. I also love that they still have Raid the Pantry!

Charming and elegant property right on the lakeside. Good restaurants in the hotel area (an Italian and a maxican restaurant). Great spa (excellent massage and facial). You have to walk through the parking lot for the gym.

It's hard

Excellent hotel and staff. We booked last minute, while in the hotel lobby, and we got 2 rooms next to each other, as we requested. Rooms are big, very clean and nicely appointed, and with a nice view of lake Washington and Seattle.

The property has a very "lux" feel and the amenities were very nice with a few pleasant surprizes.

Everything was great with the property other than the price. The cost of the stay for the size of the room was a little high. We opted for a lakefront view that was dog friendly. Nice view of the lake, the staff were super nice and very friendly with our lab, couldn’t give more of a thumbs up to the staff. Dog treats everytime he came in and lots of attention. Thank you for that. Love the ‘midnight snack’ feature and the option of dining in one of the two lovely restaurants. $50 parking per day was a little high considering you are staying with the hotel and the parking lot was pretty empty. Dog fee’s are normal but it’s always pleasant to see a single fee and not a daily fee. A coffee is free from the coffee shop next door if you are a resident but it was very expensive to get breakfast from there. Nice short walk along the lake front, go a little further and you’ll find a small park and restaurant. All in all nothing to whine about, just a little pricey for the room size.

Savvy traveler tip: the rooms have Keurigs & a mini fridge so if you have a particular coffee or milk you like it’s easy to bring your own!

The walkway along lake washington is scenic and relaxing. The hotel ground is well maintained and very easy to get to and from seattle and bellevue.

Awesome place! The raid the pantry and drinks at check in was a nice bonus. Staff were great and room was clean.

I had a wonderful view of the lake. I had a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend staying at the resort.

Rooms are in excellent condition and well-appointed. Property is lovely and the outdoor fires and Adirondack chairs are really nice social spaces right on the Lake. Plus the Pantry is a favorite with the whole family.

This property does not have back up generators. I stayed there with no power. The property was unprepared.

This property is so beautiful and the location is so perfect and so so gorgeous. I would come back to Washington just to enjoy this hotel.

The room bathroom was had stained counters and broken shower curtain. Crumbs and hair in the seats. Paid $70 for my dog to sleep for a dirty bowl. Champagne glasses lined along the hallways. The spa was below average. Masseuse spoke more about add one rather then how the massage was or if the strength was ok. The men’s locker room only has one sauna and each client stayed 30 minutes. I would’ve had to wait a long time for my turn. Champagne glass broken in the men’s locker room.

As always, our stay at Woodmark was lovely. Property shows a high standard of maintenance and caring service. Despite some small glitches in housekeeping, overall we were very satisified and looking forward to our next visit.

The property is clean and quiet, but is not what it used to be, unfortunately. It's restaurant closed, so you have to go to the other establishments. We had to ask every time for a room cleaning because no one came to clean the room (they did when we called), and the gym is something shared with the entire complex and they have to give you a special key to walk over and get in. Not really a typical hotel “and spa.” Even had extra “resort fees” added at the hotel. Not a resort.

Such a nice hotel but room was low grade. The toilet in our room was non accessible for a few hours. The water will not go down. They tried to fix it but remained the same. The bed was uncomfortable. We were never offered an upgrade. For the hotel being VIP access, I didn’t feel VIP.

Requested a late check out and even though there were so many rooms they were only able to extend to 12 but worse was that at 9:30 we were woken up with heavy machinery right outside the room. It was horrible. then at 11 they send letters saying we have construction even though we were told that there is no events. At night there was a whole party in the lobby and were very loud at 1 am which went on for a few hours

I loved this property. The hotel is in such a beautiful location right on the lake the hotel graciously upgraded my room to add the beautiful balcony on the lake. The food options were wonderful including the Italian meal breakfast items. I just felt very comfortable and well taken care of. excellent staff.

Love the spa

This is the most welcoming, beautiful hotel. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable. I made two Expedia reservations because I needed to add an extra day. They were so accommodating and made sure that I was able to stand the same room despite being a very busy weekend at the hotel. The restaurants are wonderful at the Lakeside the fire pit everything makes this wonderful place, but most importantly, the people who work at this hotel and spa are incredible

The Woodmark is a beautiful hotel. Busy wedding venue during the summer months, but you can’t beat the view and the customer service

There was an issue at checkin but the staff and GM made it right. They called to let me know that they recognized the VIP status and the GM, Gene, called to follow up and put us up in a nice room. Come to find out the upgrade was so appreciated as to my surprise, we got engaged during our stay. The staff sent us a bottle of bubbles with a nice congratulatory note, which was sitting on the coffee table upon our return to the room. We were able to toast our engagement and enjoy the view from our balcony. Thank you so much for making our trip annd engagement extra special.

Labor day get-a-way

The manager, she was very nice and accommodated me I appreciate that. She corrected what the staff did wrong.

The sheets and pillows were comfortable and the hotel was very nice.

Liked: Peaceful, quiet, 24 dollar food credit for VIP access. Dislike: Parking 25 a night and across the street.

High end, independently owned luxury hotel. Fine service. Excellent rooms. Highly recommend

What a relaxing, beautiful space!

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The property is right next to the water with great views from many rooms. There were many outdoor seating areas around fire pits from which we watched the sun set. There are many restaurants in Kirkland and Bellevue which are a short drive away. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The hotel is relatively expensive but it’s beautiful.
