A dump! Peeling paint, the room smelled stale, slovenly person at the front desk, bugs in the room , dirty furniture, and no continental breakfast as they had advertised. Further, they absolutely refused to print out a bill detailing the charges.
- 1/5
Yeah my whole stay and everything is messed up between hotels.com and a licano Lodge. Screwing me over and not trying to help anything or fix anything. Basically charged me double for a room pay for a room. I didn't even get to stay in. y'all customer service? People want to hang up on me 4 Times
- 1/5
The pictures of this property must be very old. It looks nothing like this. The rooms smelled terrible. The pillow cases and sheets were stained brown, the room furniture had what looked like black grease on them. I walked in and walked right back out. I wouldn't sleep there if it was free.
- 3/5
Could have been cleaner, linens stained, mini fridge not working. Toilet leaking

Clerk was very nice and refunded our money and we went to another place

Terrible

Do not pick this hotel
- 1/5
The floor was sticky, it smelled like an ashtray despite being a non smoking room, they was a dirty qtip sick to the wall. No bedbugs that we could see but slept on top of the sheets because we were too scared of getting under them.

Stay away from that are bad area you want to go some more downtown area
- 2/5
Am awakened at 2;30 am by someone opening my door. They scream not expecting me in the room. Then a few minutes later the Indian manager is banging on my door and is yelling about me being in the room that I rented. He has his mouth full of some thing and is impossible to understand. He keeps yelling until I get my phone and show my check in info. He comments something about an Iphone and leaves.
- 1/5
Rooms was nasty but the front desk lady was awesome about everything
- 2/5
I'm beginning to not want to stay in Tennessee hotels. This is the second time I've been in a Tennessee hotel in a row where the place feels like it's being basically run into the ground. The area around the hotel felt like it bordered a landfill for all the trash on the ground. Doesn't anyone care about their neighborhood there? First room given to me had not been cleaned. Second room had cigarette burns all over the bed spread. Had I not been so thoroughly exhausted, I would have simply left. At least the shower didn't immediately flood the bathroom like the Memphis hotel did. That's an upgrade I guess. I don't require fancy. I just want clean and to feel like the, owners give a damn about their business.
- 2/5
Check-in staff was not very welcoming and room’s floor hasn’t been vacuumed in a while (I let my shoes the entire time)
- 4/5
Clean room, check in staff was wonderful, great water pressure when showering. Only downside was that the ice machine was broken and there was no breakfast like it was advertised on the website.

The room was nasty mold above the door room smelled awful will never stay there again
- 1/5
I found a bed bug on my pillow when I arrived. I told the front desk, said I wanted to cancel and get a refund, and found another place to stay. I was yelled at, made out to be liar, and refused my money back by the owner even after I provided proof (a picture and geotag). Expedia finally gave me my money back, but the hotel owner and staff still haven’t taken responsibility for the incident. I’m truly appalled, not even by the bed bug, but by the way I was treated.
- 1/5
The manager of the Econo Lodge did not honor our reservation. We would like our money refunded. I believe he sold our room to someone else and passed it off as a plumbing problem. We were never contacted. Instead, we were forced to drive home with no sleep.
- 2/5
With some attention to cleanliness, repairs and upkeep this could be a reasonable stay
- 1/5
Dirty Dirty and yes Dirty with the strong smell of cigarette smoke with holes in comforter and covers so glad I had my own bedding definitely a place to crash in desperate times
- 2/5
Tv was broken. Not enough towels.
- 1/5
Horrible smell, dirty, black mold, busted tv, stains on the bedding, bugs in the room. This place was horrible I have never had such a bad experience before. Stay away.
- 1/5
Horrible!! When we checked in our room did not have water. Told the guy at the front desk and he got it back on. The shower leaked the whole time after he turned it on. The cable in the rooms did not work. Told the guy at the front desk and he claimed the cable was out. The sheets had stains on them, the bathroom had mold, old toothpaste on the sink, hair on the wall, food on the chair. The air conditioner was very very loud. People was going in and out of rooms all night/morning long. People outside in the parking lot talking loud. They finally went in the room about 4:30am and could still hear them thru the walls.
- 4.5/5
No breakfast
- 1/5
The room was disgusting. As an example, in our non-smoking room, the bedspread had six cigarette holes in it. The AC had a bad smell, and the bathroom was so gross - run down, rusty, moldy shower curtain, punch holes in the door, etc.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 0.5/5
The man at the desk was so rude. He accused me of lying about being the renter of the room and tried not to reset my door key. He was gross and it was awful.
- 1/5
The ONLY good thing about this stay was the woman working the front counter. I spoke to her about the concerns with our room after a trip to Burger King in order to use the restroom and asked only for our second night to be refunded, as we can't stay in a room that has no working toilet. She was understanding and courteous. She never gave an attitude, she never made me feel like i was complaining over nothing, she was amazing. I know i wouldnt have gotten the same response if it was one of the other employees working there. You expect to compromise on some things when you get a cheaper hotel room. There are just some things that I cannot compromise on and a working bathroom is one of those things.
- 0.5/5
Nothing at all bad I didn't stay I left it was so bad.Nothing worked tv or ac.I left I wouldn't stay in that dirty he'll hole.Staff was rude and nasty.Place was dirty and run down. Found a better hotel to stay in

The staff was very friendly but the room was horrible. The AC had been turned off, so the room had a horrible smell when we opened the door. The floors were also dirty
- 0.5/5
As soon as I opened the door about 15 Roaches ran from under the door frame trying to to escape. Even they didn't like it!!!! The sheets had hairs on them, (they were never changed). This is by far the worst Choice hotel. I was broke or would have left.
- 1/5
Place was a disaster my room the bed was slept in and i asked for refund but they said expedia would reach out to me bc i left

Check- In staff is rude. There is no breakfast as advertised. Motel should be rented by the hour
- 0.5/5
Friendly staff at check in. I requested a non-smoking room. The only room left in the entire building was a smoking room. The manager let us try to see if it was acceptable. Unfortunately it was not. Had to cancel our reservation and get another hotel.

Better room then before.
- 2/5
The air conditioner wasn’t working properly and when I brought it to their attention, they looked at it, but didn’t do anything about it. They did not have another room to offer me.
- 1/5
The room was very dirty. There was a lot of flies and nats flying around. I have bite marks on my legs from sleeping in the bed. It was always a lot of noise and traffic during the day. I try to set outside and homeless people kept walking up to me so I was to afraid to set out side anymore. The towels were even dirty. Lot of bugs crawling on me at night.
- 3/5
The room was clean and had plenty of hot water in the shower. The wireless was a little slow but adequate.
- 1/5
Don’t go. Just sleep in your car.

False advertising - no breakfast at all. Only redeeming quality is closeness to highway

Full of homeless out side it stinks and dirty..
- 1/5
If I could give zero stars that is how I would rate this place. The room we were give was dirty, had to have the night manager bring clean sheets, bedspread( which was very thin), and take several stained pillows. The bathroom and sink were not cleaned either. There was also a missing towel, washcloth, and the shampoo was open and half empty. Along with that, there were many homeless, living on and next to the motel. There was drug paraphernalia on and by the property which was a hazard to my family and pets. This is one of the worst places we have stayed in and definitely will not be back. It is unbelievable that the manager and their staff are not ashamed of how this motel look and is kept. This will also be sent to Econo Lodge Headquarters.

Drugs and alcohol all around the property. The rooms smelled of pee and the floors didn’t get cleaned at all. Asked for a refund as soon as I took one look at the room and still haven’t received it. Staff were not friendly at all. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone
- 1/5
They wouldn’t let us check in to the property, worker at the front desk refused to let us speak to the manager so we could actually check into the room and then after not letting us check in, they charged us a $75 fee for not checking in. Avoid this place.
- 3/5
Not well cleaned, soap left in shower. Service not very friendly, doors locked indicating not the best area. Cheap hotel with no cable
- 2/5
We stayed in room 105. When we got there after a 13 hour drive, went to get ice and was told the ice machine didn’t work. Went back to the room, There was a lot of mold on the shower curtain, bathtub wall and ceiling. The bath tub looked like someone very dirty took a bath, drain the water, and never even rinsed the dirt and grime down the drain. It was rather disgusting. I drop my glasses behind the night stand. When I pulled it out, it had not been cleaned for some time. There is a personal ID card laying there as well. I left it there. There is no excuse for the condition of the bath room. No way could my wife or I consider taking a shower there. We will never be back!
- 1/5
room wasn't cleaned and smelled like smoke in a non smoking room.
- 1/5
Woman at the front desk was nice but 1. Room was definitely not nonsmoking. It reeked of smoke. There was a serious mold problem in the corner. Water was dripping from the ceiling. The carpet was was nasty dirty. Walking barefoot left muddy foot prints when I stepped in the tub. A "Pet Friendly" hotel but the grassy area for the dogs was full of garbage. Neither the Hotel or Hotels.com would give a rfund (despite the "Good" rating)
- 3/5
The stay was average..front desk gentleman was rude as hell!
- 3/5
No WiFi even though it said there is free WiFi. Leaking sink.
- 2/5
The shower had mold and the shower curtain did also. There was old food in the fridge. No breakfast, no coffee and homeless folks there. Only perk. Dog friendly
- 2/5
No hot water, which for me is very important.
- 3/5
Cons-there is a large homeless population around that intersection and it appeared as though a couple of them were doing drugs on the stairs near our room both days. They didn’t bother us but I was uncomfortable. The room did not feel clean, (there was dust on the lamps, floors looked dirty, stains on the mattress covers). We will not stay there again.
- 1/5
This place is a DUMP. The office was closed the majority of our 3 day stay. They never once emptied the garbage cans in our room. The sink leaked and was missing the cover on the handle. The shower leaked from underneath so much the floor was a puddle everytime creating mold on the baseboards. The hair dryer didn't work and the cord on the coffee maker was pulled away exposing the wires. Holes in the bedspread. Bug in the bathroom. we were not there to see it, but there was a University of Tennessee football game Saturday, so the room I thought I was paying $74 a night for was actually only $74 for Thursday night, Friday and Saturday was $170 a night. THIS WAS IN NO SHAPE OR FORM a $170 a night room I don't care if the '72 Dolphins were playing the '85 Bears. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
- 3/5
Don’t have breakfast .
- 5/5
Nice property
- 4/5
Good for the price
- 2/5
Area was unsafe, bed bugs in the room we stayed in, and the AC unit was broke. This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed.
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly and it is quiet. Our room was clean and we had a nice stay.
- 3/5
It was ok. They tacked on $11 to what I was supposed to pay. Not impressed.
- 1/5
First room we were in was dirty. Personal items from previous guests, dirty toilet etc. We requested another room and once we were moved the tv wasn’t working. I then asked for another room and when I returned to the desk I was just told I would be getting issued a refund, turned away and no further attempt was made to rectify the situation. When I expressed how frustrated I was the person at the desk actually said to me that I could expect that quality of service and standard from somewhere else as he then listed by name other hotels in the area, but that it was unrealistic to expect what I’d honestly consider to be the bare minimum here. I was frustrated by the issues with the rooms, but the complete lack of empathy and rather feeling as if I was annoying the people working in the office more than anything else really just left me speechless. I would recommend anyone looking for a place to stay in this area avoid this place like the plague.
- 2/5
The property was advertised as having breakfast included and laundry facilities. It had neither. We had booked this property for those 2 reasons as we have been travelling and need to do washing. When questioned about it the receptionist said it was something I would have to sort out with Expedia as that was who I booked through. Not very helpful and I would not recommend this place to anyone. The shower still had the used piece of soap from the previous occupants the fridge had water in the bottom of it. The bedspread had a burn hole the size of a quarter. Overall very poor
- 4/5
Clean decent room for the price, frint desk staff was welcoming and helpful, I would consider staying again if the needs arises
- 4/5
not long enough stay to rate
- 5/5
I've stayed at a lot of budget motels on this cross country trip and this one was a very pleasant surprise. It had the look, feel and function of something much pricier.
- 1/5
The facility is old and run down, Heating unit was so dirty hardly any air flow on high speed and did not provide any heating. It was so cold I left at 2:30 am. Now I am having trouble getting my $150 deposit refunded, a surprise they even required it. Management had no interest in feedback and even got rude at my comments
- 2/5
Drug users behind the building. Noisy. Really basic, needs renovation. Nice staff and sheets looked clean
- 5/5
very pleased that expedia found this deal for us will certainly deal with Expedia to help with hotel bookings etc
- 1/5
They have no posted hours anywhere and will not let you check in after 9pm. While waiting for hotel staff to show up 3 different homeless people approached the hotel and linguered around the building. I left after noone asnwered any calls and ringing the doorbell.
- 3/5
This hotel is just ok. Not super clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very uncomfortable. They were square throw pillows. Checking in was bizarre. They also advertise breakfast but do not have breakfast.
- 5/5
Safe
- 4/5
A little dirty
- 1/5
I checked back out immediately.
- 3/5
The property was acceptable even good except for one minor problem. The website advertised breakfast and there was nothing.
- 3/5
Cost effective place to stay for 6-8 hours
- 4/5
Easy check-in, convenient location to Freeway. Advertised as having free breakfast, but was told that was no longer available. This amenity should be removed from description.
- 2/5
The bathroom was very old and had mold around it. Not fit for service.
- 5/5
Pretty basic, but very clean and has wonderful service. Good overnight stop.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Room was clean but the bathroom needed to be updated. Bed comfortable and it was perfect for an overnight stay.
- 3/5
Room was ok but bed covers had cigarette burned marks and holes on it.
- 4/5
Ok, dated.
- 5/5
We were very pleased with most of it. We had to wait a long time for the front desk person to get there when we arrived and we had to get them to fill the ice, when we left, but the room was very clean and the everything else was very nice. For the price, it was fantastic!
- 3/5
The room was stifling hot when I checked in. Had turn the heat off and open the door for when I first went in. Would have been nice to have a channel guide for the TV but I couldn't find one in the room.
- 2/5
Booked it because reviews were ok and price was good. I now realize people give good reviews because of a low price. I will definitely not stay again because it was very tired. Burn holes in bedding, furniture was beaten up, shower was covered in mold. I’m not saying it was terrible, just that it could be cared for more and I will pay more next time to stay at a nicer place after driving for 12 hours. The learning is; don’t believe customer reviews because they can be misleading due people mixing up low prices with a good review.
- 3/5
The website stated they have a continental breakfast. When i got to the location the manager told me the website was incorrect. They didnt have a continental breakfast.
- 4/5
The staff was polite and professional, friendly. The room needed repairs to the water damage on the ceiling, replace the bathroom door which was broken. The staff must be mindful of reducing the overuse of air conditioning. My room was a freezing 62F degrees when I first entered. Reducing excessive use of energy slows climate change. The room was clean. One German cockroach was in the bathroom. No other pests seen during stay. The grounds were clean and well illuminated at night.
- 4/5
We needed a place to grab some sleep on a cross country drive and this was inexpensive and adequate for our needs
- 4/5
Good place to stay for two nights. Basic hotel no frills! Would come again
- 5/5
First time staying at econo lodge in Knoxville. We had a pleasant check in, the room was clean and smelled clean. Only bad thing about it was the bathroom floor. It could used a good bleaching. The tile was black looking from probably mildew. Other than that it was pleasant.
- 5/5
In all honesty, we paid little for our 1 night stay. The bathroom needed some cleaning, it looks like some mold was covered over by silicon. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The "breakfast included" was a farse. Breakfast was a brown paper bag with cookies, granola bars, a mini coffee cake, and Chex Mix.
- 1/5
I don’t think the current staff is that bad, they are just making do with what they can. However, this hotel needs a serious update and new manager to actually run this hotel. I have stayed in cheap hotels before but there are basic standards that this hotel has not even met that those others do.
- 3/5
Stayed there last minute for a concert. Good for sleep, but otherwise kind of run down. Nothing impressed me, but it was cheap!
- 3/5
Walls are paper thin. Noisy from inside and out. Blankets are also paper thin, no extras in room. We froze. Heater did not work. Too cold in morning to shower at 65 degrees.
- 1/5
We had bugs in the room and left the building immediately!
- 1/5
What a dump. The carpets and furniture were all stained and clearly not cleaned. There was a pair of dirty socks laying on the floor next to the bed in what should have been a cleaned room. The bathroom had bugs and large cracks along the wall. The bedding seemed clean and the bed was comfortable but the room was clearly not cleaned to today's COVID standards. I will never stay here again.
- 3/5
Everything was stained, the linen, bedding, blanket and towels. Parking was very convenient. Staff was friendly
- 5/5
Incredibly comfortable bed! Check in was fast and efficient, soft towels. Area has plenty of food options, so we skipped the skimpy breakfast. Close to interstate and easy to get in and out. Very affordable! Will definitely stay again!
- 1/5
Besides missing basics, the fridge not working, unsecured internet which showed evidence of someone attempting to hack users, it had NO HOT WATER!! But to top it all off, at 9:00 AM this morning, two hours before checkout, the maid BARGED INTO OUR ROOM!!! Didn’t even knock!!! She violated our privacy. The hotel violated our privacy. Apologies were minimal. Do NOT stay at this place!!! The people and the facilities both cannot be trusted.
- 5/5
I wish I could remember her name! The lady at the front desk was awesome, friendly and very helpful. linens were fresh and clean but the room could use some upgrades.
- 5/5
All ok
- 3/5
Not worth the money at all! The air conditioner wouldn't go below 76 degrees so it was hot all night, freezer was iced over, an old cup of coffee was in the microwave, and apparently they let non-customers roam around the property. Very unnerving.
- 3/5
Liked the cleanliness. Needed some updates in bath area.
- 3/5
Dirty ants old room
- 4/5
Renee, the check-in clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but still needs more updating. The entertainment center was in rough shape, and the tub was very old.
- 1/5
Sheet was stained. Sink full of hairline cracks. Faucet had hot and cold water reversed. Blanket had multiple cigarette burns. Rug needed a steam clean. Find another spot I cannot recommend this location at all and would have left if I hadn’t made a no refundable reservation.
- 5/5
We thought it was a Nice place with a affordable price
- 5/5
Will be back again
- 4/5
Clean no-frills motel. Everything in good condition and working order. Excellent value. Several restaurants nearby. Convenient to I-75.
- 3/5
Overall, not horrible or anything, just an OK visit but we have two more visits planned to the area in the next few months and won’t stay here again.
- 4/5
Good value
- 4/5
The only negative was that the ice machine was right outside our door so we could hear it dropping ice frequently.
- 5/5
The people are nice at the property they have very nice rooms
- 4/5
Stay was nice. Bed was comfy. Just check in...no smiles or no welcomes. All business.
- 1/5
breakfast is served in the tiny lobby. two small tables. it's a joke. Room was small and bath grungy along floor and tub grout.
- 3/5
This was an OK place to stay, but out of four days there, the cleaning staff only made the bed and cleaned the bathroom on one. When I said something to the guy at the front desk, he said "yeah, I've had lots of complaint about that. I keep leaving them [the cleaning staff] notes about it, but it never helps." Well, maybe you need to get new cleaning staff!
- 5/5
Being right next to Red Lobster was fantastic.
- 4/5
Standard room. No frills. Bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
I have stayed at this Econo Lodge North many times over the last 15 years or so while visiting Knoxville. It is a great place to stay! The staff is friendly and attentive, the rooms are always very clean, and the owner is very active in the management of the property. In fact, I chatted with him on this trip. He clearly is proud of his property and works hard to provide an excellent experience for his guests. During this trip, I noticed that they were renovating a few of the rooms. Econo Lodge North is an excellent choice if you are looking for a no-frills, clean, convenient, safe place to stay in Knoxville. They offer a good breakfast offering considering the space constraints. You can't beat the value of this hotel!
- 2/5
At time of arrival the door on the room was standing open. I guess to air out the rooms. The air conditioning was turned off. The room was very musty smelling. The neighborhood did not appear to be in a safe area. I will never stay there again.
- 3/5
Tv was very hard to use. Could not figure out how to get the major Networks. The internet did not work for me.
- 4/5
Nice, clean, well maintained. Wi definitely stay again.
- 5/5
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years and it never disappoints. I don't think you will find a cleaner more accommodating room for the price than this Econo Lodge.
- 3/5
To begin with I could not get the door entrance card to work, it was very difficult to get the door to open. The TV would change channels on its on or turn off completely. The noise level was terrible being so close to the interstate, people talking and dogs barking didn't help when trying to sleep.
- 3/5
The tub was not clean. It was so disgusting that I could not take a shower.
