At night and they don’t have any cameras over there and they never helped me and they said they are not responsible So the total for the night it was around $6000 with the repair of my truck never ever going back again

The location was the top and we enjoyed the ocean front room a lot. The ocean sound and air at night was so soothing. Direct access to the beach. Great for children. Very convenient location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Parking was available and there was always an empty spot. Staff was nice. Rooms were minimaly decorated and it was perfect that way. Bed was very comfortable. The only down side was breakfast.

Property is old but on purpose. It hasn’t been updated to be a rectangle box with a parking lot and no originality. We loved the way the rooms are designed and oriented to be able to walk outside through the complex on paths, directly to and from the beach. If the landscaping and water works/fountains were in better working condition it would’ve added that much more to our experience.

A lovely hotel perched on the side of a cliff. It’s great for watching sunsets and an easy walk to nearby restaurants. Our room didn’t have any windows and after paying more to stay one night in an ocean view room it was a little disappointing.

Gorgeous beach views, room was spacious, very friendly staff and appreciated complimentary breakfast! Some areas of the room/property were a bit run down, noticed there was also a large gap between the front door to the room and top of the door frame. Deck view room was perfect with a great partial ocean view, but slightly pricy

I arrived pretty late but there was a sweet old man who checked in me. Didn’t get to use the pool but it looked nice, didn’t really like that the pool was right there connected to the lobby. Loved that it was a 2 min walk to the beach !

It was a cute stay just steps from the beach, and the view from our room was great. I do wish the rooms were a bit more updated, but everything was clean and comfortable. I was also hoping for a jacuzzi and an on-site bar, which would have made the stay even better.

Great location Room wasn’t very clean. Air conditioner unit in the room was extremely loud that it woke us up every time it turned on and we couldn’t turn it off since there were no windows in the room. Shower was rusted in spots and bathroom mirror was cracked.

We stayed here for our elopement weekend and had a fantastic experience thanks to the staff.

Cute little boutique hotel. Room was very clean, had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Be aware there are potentially quite a few stairs to get to your room. Staff was very nice and they offered assistance to get your luggage to your room. The best part for us was the view of the ocean, and being able to sleep with the patio door open so you had your own personal sound machine all night. Parking on property is possible but the spots are small and limited in number. They have an additional parking lot a short walk from the property. They also have charging stations at that lot and one on property. The property has plenty of shared terraces with chairs, tables and lounges. They also provide beach chairs and umbrellas. We had a great time there and will definitely go back again.

The location and view were excellent. The room was in need of an update ( walls needed paint , stained seat on chair, very roughed up furniture) but was otherwise clean. The bed was comfy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Some TLC should be given to the outside seating areas to clean off the furniture and sweep. The continental breakfast was great and the complimentary cookies were too!

Wow! We had such a relaxing stay at the Capri Laguna and we are looking forward to staying there again next year. It was a small community feel, which made our stay feel personalized. The wonder Nick was kind and friendly. The front desk staff, Esmeralda was helpful and knowledgeable about the hotel and surrounding area. The coffee and hot chocolate bar was 24/7, which was very convenient. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! There were cold and hot food options. The hotel was clean and had nice amenities, a pool and laundry (for a cost). We did request a room with a safe, but happened to get the 1 room that didn’t have one. We were offered another available room once we mentioned this to the front desk. There are multiple spaces to sit and enjoy the view and the beach is just a short walk away down the stairs.

However, despite the establishment’s claim of accessibility, there’s no designated beach access for wheelchair users, which impacted my daughter’s experience.

Coming from San Diego for my wife's birthday. The staff was very kind and upgraded us to an amazing room looking straight at the beach from the private deck. This place is definitely a deal. Very clean, nice little breakfast set up, and steps from the beach. I recommend and will return.

Great experience at Capei Laguna Beach. The staff was very kind and welcoming, and Nick Politis, the manager, made us feel especially well taken care of. We highly recommend getting a room with an ocean view so you can keep the balcony open, sleep with the sound of the waves, and fully relax at night.

Location, location, location. Pictures are fairly deceiving. Hotel is fairly run down and not worth the price tag, but then again you are paying to be on the beach front and have access to the beach itself.

The gentleman at the reception when we arrived was very nice. The room was very disappointed. We booked an ocean view and it was not. It was a very partial view between 2 buildings. The room had a smell and we saw a cockroach in the room. The breakfast was not good.

We enjoyed our stay! We had a beachfront room with a balcony which was a must for us, and we loved that we were just steps from the beach. Not as grand as some of the other ones on our walks, but this price was also more reasonable. The room was clean, but overall the property could use some updates. Also, a quick fix would be fixing the shower/sprout that you use to rinse the sand off after the beach so it doesn’t end up all over your room! Appreciated the umbrellas and chairs that were available every day on the beach as well as the continental breakfast/coffee each morning. FYI - lots of stairs!

Safe and easy parking

This is a cute, quiet, cottage-like, hotel directly on the sand with beach access! I checked in on 3/21/26 at about 3pm and the front desk staff was incredible. They were super inviting, warm, and friendly and truly made us feel like we were being hosted in their own home! Thank you for the memorable check in experience and lovely stay

Book this now! My hubby took me for Valentine’s Day. It’s so peaceful and beautiful room! The room was really clean when we arrived. But we couldn’t find parking in the property close by. Definitely would go back!

Beautiful view of the ocean and shoreline from the room. At high tide, the waves crash right up against the property. The view of the ocean from inside the room makes you feel like you are on a cruise. Great access to the beach. Bachir welcomed us when we arrived and gave us the ideal room. He was very friendly and warm. He made us feel well taken care of.

Had a great girls weekend in Laguna at Capri. I come to Laguna from LA often, first time staying at Capri and loved it! Room was as photoed, staff was pleasant, and the location in proximity to the beach and places to eat, is A1.

This is very nice place! The internet was very weak. This is very specific - I'm a tea drinker and the tea choices were not good for breakfast. The television remote and interface were very frustrating - slow and clunky. I wouldn't expect that for this price. Very convenient to the ocean.

Hotel has everything you need!!

Fun spot on the beach—we felt transported in time and locale. We would have given five stars, but the bed was a bit hard and the pillows a bit thick. The location is ideal—a brisk walk to everything, yet not in the heavy tourist area. The Wild Strawberry coffee house across the way was our daily go to. It too did not disappoint. We would stay here again for sure though!

They made us fresh cookies after ask why time they’d be out in the lobby. Very friendly staff. Beautiful beach too!

The staff was great, but the hotel, although beautifully located on the beach, needs to be better for the price. The room was nondescript and needs a new fresh look. It seems worn, albeit clean, but definitely better amenities.

This is a nice hotel. It may be two stars and no frills but it makes up for it by the great scenery. It is right on the beach, you probably can watch the ocean from your room and hear the gentle waves as you sleep. The staff are very nice. There is an additional parking not far from the hotel. Parking is free. There are no elevators and no gym. The pool is heated but small. There is free breakfast in the morning with some varieties. There are always free beverages and newspapers in the lobby.

Hotel was beautiful. Right on the ocean. The tide was high so we didn't get to enjoy the lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach shown in the pictures our whole stay. Everything is clean,staff was fantastic and breakfast was perfect. The room is basic. The pictures shown on the website is an upgrade for $1000 a night. Complaints I have is the traffic/ sound! It's awful. Literally right on the main street & it's LOUD all day/night mkaing sleeping no an option. We tried getting our money back so we can find somewhere else but was told they couldn't refund us. Our rolm was also next to a cooling unit for the hotel next door and again that ran all night loud as can be. We wouldn't stay here again.

Can't beat the view. We faced directly in front of the ocean and had incredible views. Clean rooms. Staff was exceptionally nice and Nick the owner even brought us roses on our 2nd day. It's not a big hotel experience and lacks those resort type amenities but we were happy with it as it was quiet, friendly and perfect location. Hope to go back again!

We had the most Wonderfull Anniversary getaway at Capri Laguna on the Beach! The room was comfortable. The best part was the huge Oceanfront Balcony! They provided a 2nd Chaise lounge so that My Wife & I could relax on our balcony together! They were very attentive & accommodating to our requests! We can’t wait till our next visit very soon!

The staff were great but the room was not in good shape. The shower did NOT drain, there was NO water pressure in the sink to rinse my toothbrush properly, the patio door did not have a deadbolt, the main door had a makeshift deadbolt, there were large gaps at the tops and bottoms of both outdoor doors, the sheets were pilled and very scratchy, and the room was very bright, even with all the shades closed. I left after the first night and took the financial loss (and it wasn’t a cheap rate) rather than spend another night there. Two things that were good, the view and the towels.

My mom and I had an incredible stay here in early December, where we spent my birthday. Nick and Bachir were very kind and accommodating. I love the architecture of this place. It makes you feel like you are somewhere in Italy with the narrow staircases and White fixtures. The beach is literally right behind the building, which gives you private access to a chunk of Laguna Beach. They have an absolutely gorgeous spot to watch the sunset. The beach views are also so incredible from your room. I also love that they have complementary breakfast with yummy waffles, boiled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, and much more. It is also a great location to stay in Laguna Beach, so close to a variety of restaurants and shops. And only about a mile walk to downtown Laguna. We really loved how walkable everything was in the town. Parking was also very convenient with a number of spots on the property. But what really made an impression on my mom and I was how friendly and kind the staff were (shout out to Nick and Bachir). We will definitely be coming back because of their hospitality!

The staff was fantastic, the location was amazing too. Loved our ocean view room. I don’t like leaving bad reviews and the only reason why I rated this hotel as “okay” is because one of our towels that was folded up as clean was actually dirty (had literal human poop on it). And the sink didn’t drain.

The pool also had a great vibe to it. The temperature of the water was perfect as well. The room was very clean. Next time I would love to get an ocean view. I think it would make the experience that much better. Amazing experience overall.

Resort hosts Bashir and Nick went above and beyond anything we needed. We had a nice room with balcony overlooking the ocean. Free parking and breakfast every morning.

I love that this was not a corporate type property, the owners love and manage this and it shows in the details. We have a wonderful stay and hope to stay there again.

check in was fantastic with Morgan- I didn't like the room I chose and she immediately found exactly what I wanted. we got all checked in early. There is someone on the beach who gives you towels and there is nice loungers and umbrellas. Loved the view from room. the continental breakfast was plenty. love coffee in room or lobby and cold water dispenser in the lobby

This is a lovely hotel! Beachfront property with easy access to the Main Street and well rated restaurants. The pool is heated and the staff are truly very helpful. Rooms are large and comfortable. The decorations are tasteful, I personally loved the statues around the hotel because they were fun and had some character. Of note - a/c is not central but the in room portable units do their job well. Keep an eye out for the random tomato plant on the path down to the beach! It seemed to me that the building is older but well taken care of and very clean- especially considering all the sand guests must track in. Parking is thankfully easy and secure. The owner, Nick, really made us feel at home. The sunset was gorgeous. I’m thankful that we stayed at Capri!

The location of this hotel is amazing - you really get access right to the beach and the umbrellas/beach chairs are a really nice touch. Staff was also very friendly and we had no issues checking in, however we did run into an issue with our keycard where neither one was working, but staff fixed it right away! Our biggest complaint with the hotel is the cleanliness of it. Most of the furniture was not well kept and dirty. It did not feel as luxurious as it should have for the amount we paid for an Oceanfront room. The room was also very weirdly shaped out, and the TV was in such an awkward position. The bathroom also felt very cramped, but it was overall clean, at least. Overall, the location is what you are mostly paying for, but a good option if you're not planning to stay in your room for an extended period of time.

The staff were friendly and understanding with my daughter who is on the spectrum. The gentleman at the front desk made sure to know my daughter's name and greeted her by name every time we saw him. We felt very welcomed here. We stayed in a beachfront King room and it was wonderful! Everything was clean and the views were amazing! Loved sleeping to the sound of the waves.

Great location and got balcony beach view of ocean at a good price point. Clean, comfortable bed, and friendly staff. Ample parking but some is several doors down at auxiliary parking lot. This hotel has lots of stairs as it is built into the hillside. There are ADA accommodations like a track lift but probably not what you’d want if you aren’t able to take stairs and luggage to your room. The breakfast is Continental style and could use more fruit options and maybe muffins or danish in addition to toast and bagels. The free trolley is outside the door. Private beach access. Million dollar views. We’d return.

Initially, we were put in the wrong room, but when they changed our room, it was very nice beautiful view of the ocean, etc. very clean inside the rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

When I stayed at Casa Laguna Hotel & Spa, I was immediately charmed. The Spanish architecture, lush gardens, and ocean views were absolutely stunning. What really stood out to me was the incredibly attentive staff; they made my stay so comfortable and relaxing. It truly felt like a perfect escape, whether for a romantic getaway or just some peaceful downtime.

Capri boutique hotel and location are beautiful, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of my room,the floors needed to be mopped,my feet got filthy when I first got there I had to wipe down the floors, I had to lift the cushion in the patio to shake food off it,drapes need cleaning, ect...

Front desk guy was so nice. Loved the large room and beach access and pool.

The location was great and service was good. Having direct access to the beach and chairs and umbrellas was very convenient. Free self parking was a perk but also very limited and tough to get into. The free continental breakfast was lacking and the space was very small, but the amenity was still appreciated. The room was clean enough but the room and property could do with upgrades considering the cost of stay. Better and quieter AC should be the first investment. The portable AC in the room was disappointing and incredibly loud. Shower needed upgrade and a detachable shower head would also benefit guests who want to wash off sand as well. Pillows need an update as well. The room was good enough but not worth the price. You’re really only paying for location because basic amenities could be improved. Overall the location cancelled out any disappointments but it would be difficult for me to decide to stay here again with the issue with the AC and pricing.

This place is amazing. I love the amenities such as TV in both rooms, microwave, and a decent size refrigerator. The sliding doors leading to the balcony could use a screen door, so guests can open the door to let in some fresh breeze without concern of crawlers, birds or rodents coming into their rooms.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially the beach chairs and umbrella and the deck view which was accessible from our room.

Hotel was not in great condition with minor issues all throughout the hotel and room. Service checkin was good, free breakfast was fine with few choices, and pool was clean well maintained. Room had unpleasant musty smell from air conditioner, furniture was well worn and room just had minor repairs needed (doors not sliding, wall putty jobs, odd bathroom doors that did not close). Construction from hotel next door was not disclosed and construction started right outside room at 7:30am. Saving grace of hotel - lots of beach tables and chairs and location on beach was fantastic. Overall - beach was great with lots of amenities but rooms and noise from construction was not great.

The staff and the location are great! Right on the beach. We had a wonderful time in here. The property is not in amazing shape but good for the price. We would be back! Thank you much!!

Extremely kind and friendly staff. Very helpful and welcoming. The suite was very basic with old and broken appliances and fixtures. The AC units are in-room add-ons with a dryer hose and run very loud. One was broken but I was able to fix it myself and save the hassle of a late night repair. Could have been a problem if I wasn’t handy. We had a few other maintenance issues the next day that had staff working in our room while we waited. The first was a towel holder which the maid broke, then service had to repair. Fun. While in the room, service found safety issues with the shower drain that also needed repair. I understand and they were kind about it but the “repair” didn’t actually fix anything in the end and it took a long time. Unfortunately, they didn’t inspect and find these things before our stay, rather than during. Parking was difficult. It’s mostly off site in a small lot that didn’t have any spaces available multiple times. The few spaces at the hotel and in the off site lot are both very small, even for a beach hotel. Due to a complete lack of any parking spaces in either location, we had to park a few blocks away on the street and pay, then move our vehicle before morning. The key cards had trouble for multiple guests.On the plus side, beach is right there. We had a beautiful ocean view. The walkout to the beach was convenient and the location was right in town with lots walkable. Again, the staff, especially at the front desk, were extremely kind and pleasant.

Comfortable room with great customer service in a wonderful location

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here! Although it was only a one night stay, the room and amenities were nice. I love that the property is beach front and really clean. I like that the property has on site parking and several shops/restaurants are in walking distance! Will definitely be staying here again

We stayed in an ocean front room on the 4th floor. Our view was half ocean water, half brown rooftop of the units in front of us. There is no AC with this hotel, only large AC units in each room that connect to the outside. The room's AC unit is extremely loud, so it was choosing between warm, ocean air with loud waves, or cold air with a humming machine. Bed and pillows were comfortable, but our sheets had brown and red stains throughout. For the price, I expected a more comfortable stay. We will not be staying here again, but we still enjoyed our trip due to the dining and beach locations.

Close to the beach, friendly staff

The hotel is very picturesque. The ocean view rooms have good views, but the views are variable. The hotel is old, probably from the early 1950s or even earlier. The rooms have been remodeled, but with some quirky features. The parking is okay. On the immediate hotel premises, the parking is very tight and difficult. However, there is an auxiliary lot 1/2 block away, which is much easier to park in. The staff are amazing

Could use an exterior renovation given their rates. Rooms are nice, but my ocean view deck had foggy glass railing (from marine moisture) blocking my seatwd view and it’s a 10 min job to clean it weekly. Great location close to lots of good restaurants and the beach is right in front with a great beach. There’s even a decent surf break. Nice place if your standards aren’t set too high.

I recently stayed at The Capri Hotel in Laguna Beach as part of my honeymoon road trip, and unfortunately, this was the most disappointing leg of our journey. While the location is undeniably beautiful — the beach area is stunning, peaceful, and the highlight of our stay — the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. We spent two lovely days enjoying the beach, but even this wasn’t without its issues. On our first day, we asked the hotel if they had any additional beach chairs, as there were only five available for the entire property. We were told no, which seemed odd given the size of the hotel and the resort fee we were paying. Thankfully, on the second day, two helpful staff members appeared with extra chairs and umbrellas for guests — a small win. We inquired about upgrading to a sea-view room, hoping for something a bit special for our honeymoon. We were shocked to be quoted $900 for just two nights for a partial sea view — needless to say, we declined. When we entered our room, we were hit with a musty smell and an overwhelming sense that the place was stuck in the past. It’s in desperate need of renovation. The beds were uncomfortable, the bed linen was scratchy and outdated, and the overall feel of the room was tired. You get a couple of sheets and a fluffy blanket — if it’s hot, be prepared to sweat or try to sleep through the roar of the ancient air conditioning unit. Location and espresso machine were amazing. The patio is great for sunsets, drinks, and snacks. One thing we didnt like were the flood lights on patio which were way too bright. Other than that 5 star stay.

The location was perfect, the facilities were excellent, and everything—from the complimentary parking and delicious breakfast to the spotless rooms—exceeded expectations. Nice little hotel

The Capri is steps away from the ocean. The convenience to town and walking to places was great. It was a bit dated, but very clean and Kasey was kind enough to upgrade my room closer to the waves due to some maintenance noise at 8 pm. Thank you Kasey.

Great spot right on beach. Easy walking to tons of restaurants. Good space for weekend with teenagers with separate rooms to sleep. Would love to return!
