Reviews
The hotel is praised for its prime location near the beach and restaurants, as well as its clean facilities. However, several guests have complained about the noise from construction and traffic, as well as issues with the staff and the value for money. Some guests also mentioned that the rooms were small and lacked certain amenities.
- Great location near the beach and restaurants
- Clean facilities
- Noise from construction and traffic
- Issues with staff and value for money

Nice place. Clean and quiet . Only complaint is the flowers in their package . Some of them were dying .Not worth the money
- 4/5
Super beautiful location fillec with flowers and friendly staff. Only knock that would stop us from returning is the bed we had was super hard and pretty uncomfortable. All in all beautiful hotel
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Slept in an ocean facing room and awakened to the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the beach. Included parking was a nice bonus.
- 5/5
Great location and room size. Staff was very welcoming.
- 3/5
The small hotel is a throwback from the 70’s. Nicely maintained. Parking is included and free. The room was just adequate, but it was quite clean. One of the electrical outlets did not work. The bathroom and shower were small. It had a decent balcony and a partial view of the ocean. The hotel is 2 minutes or less of a walk from a very nice 180 degree view of the ocean.
- 5/5
Great location for easy beach access and local shopping and dining. Simple well appointed rooms. I’ll go again!
- 5/5
Amazing time!
- 5/5
I had a great birthday at Laguna cove hotel! The staff was friendly and went above and beyond in giving me and my boyfriend a comfortable and great stay! I can’t wait to come back my boyfriend and I would love to stay here again and stay in the same room with the beautiful view from the balcony. We will be staying here again and maybe even every time we come into town! The cookies + coffee and bananas every morning were a great touch at the front desk, and the cute snoopy shorts! See you soon Laguna big thank you for making my trip special <3
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Beautiful property a little bit expensive
- 5/5
You could hear the waves !
- 4/5
Good location.
- 5/5
Very quiet at night and even during the day despite being off South Coast Hwy. there are also spots with live music nearby. Best of all you can go have a coffee and sit on a bench at the steps of the beach in the morning - very peaceful and amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. I’d definitely stay again, just hope they’d make some upgrades. Oh and parking is including for guests.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
The breakfast isn't what it use to be. It's a close walk to Avila's El Rancho Mexican restaurant, which has so many great dishes and a even closer walk to the beach !
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay at. Quiet, close to food, parking on site. Receptionist and gardeners and cleaning staff are all super nice. I am definitely coming back to Laguna and staying here.
- 2/5
Beds are entirely too high. Uncertain why they are that high. Walls are paper thin and I heard the man next door snoring. They do provide earplugs. No pool. Trash cans are highly accessible. One evening a new guest asked me if I worked there when I went to the front to fill a water bottle. She was waiting at front desk to check in for a longer time than she expected. Turns out the clerk was chatting in another guest room for about 20/30 minutes. The new guest was pretty stressed.
- 1/5
This was very annoying! I have attached photos of what is in the website and the pictures I took of my room
- 5/5
We had a balcony one row of houses back from the ocean. We saw a beautiful sunset, a whale, dolphins and a rocket launch while sitting on our balcony. The bathroom is small but usable. We rented beach chairs and beach towels from the front desk which was very convenient. There is quite a bit of road noise but earplugs did the trick while sleeping luckily a house under construction right off our balcony was not overly noisy.
- 5/5
it was perfect
- 4/5
Beach view is blocked by other buildings partially view and room with a lot of old amenities but great personal staff
- 4/5
Better television amenities like airplay and also more outlets in room
- 4/5
Great location and quaint but old and outdated for the price. Bed was comfortable. The Sun set right behind an air conditioner unit. Bathrooms are not charming they are old from the 60’s or 70’s. Demolition/Construction right outside the balcony window which was not disclosed when booking. Earplugs on the night stands is never a good sign but very necessary.
- 1/5
There was ants and fleas in our room and bed. Couldn't sleep all night be booked two nights we canceled the second night. The ocean is not close You have to walk down more than 100 steps. We couldn't go because knee problem.
- 5/5
Expected there to be a clear beach view from the balcony because I payed slightly extra for that but it was mostly covered by trees and a house. But it was still a beautiful stay! Literally only steps away from the beach! All major attractions were only minutes away from this hotel. The shower door doesn’t close all the way so the bathroom would be soaked but other than that everything was perfect. The staff was SUPER SWEET. The kitchen includes a cute little dining table and chairs which was very useful. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
The room was nice, clean, comfy bed.
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 2/5
Parking in front of the rooms (like motel 6).
- 4/5
Parking and location are great. A bit of Coast Highway noise.
- 5/5
there’s a bit of street noise but they do provide some earplugs which are so helpful!
- 5/5
Loved staying here, it was a very cute hotel! We were kindly given an upgrade to an ocean view w/ balcony and we were so glad about it! Definitely having this made the room feel breathable. Keep in mind, If it were not for balcony, room would have felt a bit small. Furniture could be a bit more modernized however, bed and pillows were very comfy.
- 5/5
Such a cute stay! Adorable cottage room and steps away from the beach! Will definitely be coming back!
- 5/5
Lovely room. Available free coffees and pastries nice touch
- 2/5
The hotel price is relatively high for the level of facilities and amenities it offers.
- 4/5
However, with power washing happening in the from and the residential construction happening in the back, it was beyond loud and not at all peaceful as we’d hoped. After the workers stopped around 5pm we could return to our room.!!Otherwise we had to keep the curtains drawn and window closed the entire time as they were at eye level with our room.
- 4/5
I guess I have been going to hotels that are not "vintage" properties. Cute little motel that is close to the ocean and on the main "drag" of Laguna Beach. Very quiet and free coffee, tea and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. If you are traveling to Laguna on a budget, this is an option. Ocean view only because the house behind the hotel had been torn down and was under construction. Comfortable bed, and free (I think) parking in front. Desk person is a bit lackluster and could use some hospitably schooling in greeting and speaking to the guests. Personally, I would not return as the level of the hotel was to up to what i am used to but the price was right (not sure if $200 a night is right but perhaps that is the going rate). But, if you don't require a more posh, three star plus environment than this could be a place to try. Location. Location. Location.
- 4/5
Clean rooms and a 10 second walk to the beach. Amazing coffee shops near by and the free parking was super convenient. Staff were really kind.
- 1/5
no view, work on a new building rigth next to thus hotel. This hotel could be ok if it cost 50 dollars and the guests are young and staying outside until late, and just need to crash o few hours.
- 3/5
We were given room #101 that is against Agate Street and was a large suite. A separate room for kitchenette and a separate room for bed and bathroom. While the room itself was large, the closet was large, the bathroom lacked anything modern and not clean. The shower was an odd step-in with a large ledge and no light at all. It was a dark cave. The hot water took a long time to heat up in both the sink and shower. The floor had very old tiles and not very clean. The king bed was stiff and left us with sore backs. They do have rooms with ocean view but ours viewed the neighbors houses. I was very happy we had only one night to stay there. I would not go back again.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly
- 5/5
I stayed at Laguna Cove for one night and loved every minute of it! The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to the beach, plus amazing restaurants and shops. The staff was outstanding from check-in through check-out — friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again!
- 5/5
Tastefully updated hotel in a great location.
- 5/5
Clean, Safe, and Great Energy!!!
- 4/5
Location and it was very quaint
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 2/5
Other than this issue, the room was mostly ok. Bed was comfy, but the floor clearly hadn’t been swept and there was debris scattered on it. The room is very boring. It needs some color. I will pay more in the future to stay somewhere nicer with an appropriate sized bathroom and a pool/spa. Also, their breakfast literally consisted of coffee and a container of yogurt. There were also some complimentary burnt cookies. I don’t remember disliking this place so much in the past. Not sure if I just got a bad room this time or what, but definitely not worth going back.
- 4/5
Great staff
- 5/5
My ocean view room was exactly as advertised. Great view of the ocean. The room is sparkling clean. The staff is wonderful. This is an older hotel, but has been restored very nicely. It's within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. It's a great value and I look forward to staying here again.
- 5/5
The staff was fantastic!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and cozy, the staff was very welcoming and helpful
- 5/5
Courteous staff, beautiful view, great location
- 2/5
Room was furnished from a garage sale with everything falling apart. Very ratty furnishings, shower door was falling off, bath shelf was falling off wall. And, we were NOT told that heavy duty construction was being done right out side room/deck. Could not use deck. For over $300/night it was a rip off. We complained about the skill saws and Jack hammers and got 20% off one night. Piss-poor service.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing , room was great
- 5/5
The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were no polite and helpful. I will be coming back here.
- 3/5
Great location and loved the little beach area close by. Unfortunately a series of events happened while I was there that dampened my stay. It was extremely loud (sirens, honking, yelling, stomping, music), the hot water had gone out, the fire alarm went off at 9 pm forcing me to vacate my room, and their was a police stand off in one of the rooms while all of us were trying to go to bed. While I believe the hotel did their best to handle the situation, all of this made me just want to go home. Not being able to take a hot shower was just the icing on the cake. The staff members were lovely and the location was awesome tho. I think the events that unfolded were just bad luck.
- 5/5
Excellent throughout
- 5/5
Wonderful boutique hotel!
- 5/5
The staff was courtesy and granted a late checkout.
- 5/5
Had a nice stay, my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves
- 2/5
Dirty room. The “beach view” was covered by construction and a porter potty. At 7am they started construction. And they were right outside the window looking in to the bathroom.
- 5/5
Great stay. Some daytime noise due to construction, but there's nothing the hotel can do about that. Other than that great stay and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Nice location and clean room.
- 2/5
Just be more transparent. I think people would appreciate that.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and informative. Room was clean, beautiful, and pleasant! Great views and also a great location for shopping, eating, drinking, coffee, etc.
- 5/5
very clean room. warm staff and nice location
- 5/5
Stayed here two times already, will be back again! Everything is fantastic. Clean room, courteous staff, nice coffee options in the lobby.
- 3/5
Room was okay “. A lot of water damage.
- 3/5
Room is very small and the bathroom was even smaller
- 3/5
Clean room, nice bed and bedding. Noise was a problem, could hear everything in adjoining rooms. Heavy traffic noise.
- 4/5
Balcony view obstructed by palm trees and the work crew on the house in front started at 7am truck back up beeps, hammering. Can't do anything about that I reckon.
- 5/5
Cute old school motel/hotel in the most city in California one block from beach. Clean and comfortable
- 4/5
Nice cozy quiet room. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I was there for one night and when I saw ear plugs on the nightstand my expectations were lowered. But it was a quiet comfortable room. The only drawback was the tightness of the bathroom. Though it was sparkling clean as was the rest of the room.
- 5/5
My room was small but cozy. I was comfortable and very satisfied
- 5/5
The room was as expected, and I was pleasently surprised by the amenities. There were ants but not enough to make me concerned. The room was also cleaned whenever requested and was cleaned well!
- 4/5
Excellent view, staff was very helpful, the only criticism is that the shower needed a safety bar.
- 4/5
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Location was great and convenient. Nice size porch with good view of ocean
- 5/5
Great views and location
- 5/5
Good service, clean room, easy beach access
- 5/5
One of the best places I've stayed in years. Perfectly classic vibes, simple modern touches, peace & quiet, and privacy. Will definitely be returning soon!
- 4/5
Balcony view offered construction view of the ocean. Paid extra for that
- 5/5
Great stay! Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful ocean view!
- 5/5
Came here for a mini getaway just for one night and it was perfect. The hotel was pretty much walking distance from everything that we wanted to do was was great. Our room was clean no complaints. We got the king room with the view and it was pretty spacious.
- 5/5
Great service helpful staff
- 4/5
Very polite staff, nice room.
- 3/5
Friendly staff, quiet area, a minute away from the beach, but there was ants in the restroom.
- 2/5
Paid for ocean front and got no view at all. The parking lot is right in front and the noise is incredibly loud from the traffic. Also they dont have black out curtains, the pillows were uncomfortable. The TV was very small and the set it at an angle in the corner were is hard to see from the bed. Wont recommend this property to my worst enwmy.
- 5/5
It was so nice, loved my room! Clean and tidy
- 4/5
Helpful staff
- 3/5
Old hotel … very strong room fragrance is sprayed in the rooms .
- 2/5
We arrived at 6:42 to find a sign indicating someone would be back in 10 minutes. We hung out in the reception area for 15 minutes, then we rang the doorbell and rang the brass bell numerous times. Our last phone attempt was 7:03, and it was five minutes later when someone finally came to the check-in desk.we attempted three phone calls to the number provided by Travelocity for the reservation
- 4/5
The staff truly elevated the stay. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and accommodating, offering a level of service that rivaled luxury-tier hospitality. Was placed in a first-floor Junior Suite. Footsteps from above were noticeable, enough to request a move. The front desk team was professional, and the manager kindly approved our switch to an upstairs Family Suite, showing real commitment to guest satisfaction. I’ll definitely be returning and recommend booking a second-floor room for a quieter stay. Earplugs are provided, mostly due to traffic noise from the Pacific Coast Highway—understandable given the location between the ocean and the road, but they never even came close to feeling they were necessary.
- 5/5
Though this is not a new hotel, our room was updated, clean and comfortable. The property is kept up nicely. Parking is free and there is complimentary coffee in the lobby area. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It's a nice hotel with good value for the area. One negative is that there is traffic noise from the main road out front, but that would be the case with most any hotel on the main road in Laguna Beach.
- 5/5
Clean room, close access to beach and stunning sunset view, close to restaurants and food options with everything close and in Walking distance. Friendly staff and great free coffee and great selection of items to add to the coffee.
- 5/5
Minor drawbacks were nearby construction noise and highway noise since you are on PC
- 4/5
Laguna Cove Hotel – Great Stay! Our recent stay at Laguna Cove Hotel was truly pleasant. The location is perfect — very walkable to dining and shopping areas and easily accessible to nearby attractions. It’s also just a short stroll to the beach, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel offers pretty good parking, and while the breakfast is simple, it’s good enough to start the day. Most importantly, the place is very clean and well-maintained, giving a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. Overall, it’s a great value for the location and cleanliness. I would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
It’s very quaint and super quiet. I valued having plenty of space for my luggage, nice hot shower, firm bed with soft pillows, the cappuccino and bananas and yogurt in the morning, and the friendly staff that held my luggage after check out so that I could be a hands free tourist. I would not hesitate to go back tomorrow. ☺️
- 4/5
Room was clean. They helped me check in late but no alarm clock or anywhere to charge a phone without a box, water was seen but not waterfront due to first floor and construction behind. Trash truck woke me up early after getting to sleep late. Traffic is loud on the Main Street. Had cute little area in am with Keruigs bananas and yogurts
- 5/5
We had a great stay at Laguna Cove. The room (104) was clean and good enough for my son and I. The bottom floors have minimal to no view of the ocean, and the top rooms are ocean view. The front desk lady was nice when we checked in at 430ish, and the lady that worked the morning front desk shift was nice and attentive to our needs. I'm always wary of going to hotels because of bed bugs and dust, but this room was very comfortable and clean. You get the bang for your buck. It's close to many places and one minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend if you're not looking to spend much as the other hotels in the area (Laguna Sands).
- 5/5
Super comfortable hotel in a great location. The bed was snug and the sheets soft.
- 3/5
Knowing it was a honeymoon… no one seemed overly attentive. Honeymoon package meat was getting dry. How long did it sit there? Disappointing. For the price I expected better.
- 4/5
Short walk to beach.
- 3/5
Also, located over one mile from downtown where most restaurants and shops are located
- 5/5
Great location, great views, nice ambiance, love all the plants and thoughtful details.
- 5/5
Excellent value especially ocean view for the price
- 5/5
Laguna Cove Hotel was a wonderful experience. The staff was super helpful and check in was easy. Enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waves each morning. Bathroom was spotless. And the extra unexpected amenities were such a nice touch. Will be back again.
- 5/5
Ocean view and accommodating staff
- 4/5
Cute, clean room, a little run down, wifi didn’t work. Definitely paying for the location and view vs the standard of the room. Overall would stay again.
- 5/5
Didn’t have an ocean view however the ocean was across the street, rooms might need to get insulation because you can hear your neighbor going to the bathroom lol
- 3/5
It was very convenient, clean, and had a nice mattress. The late check in arranged ahead worked out great. We slept really well. It is quaint and charming, rather than modern and luxurious.
- 4/5
Location is great and was worth any inconvenience.
- 4/5
The room itself was adorable — very cottage-core, with a cozy charm. The location was excellent, and the balcony view of the ocean was absolutely breathtaking. I loved being able to keep the screen door open and fall asleep to the sound of the waves all night. The property overall was beautiful, spotless, and had a homey, welcoming vibe. It is a little dated in places, but that just added to the character for me. The only minor challenge was that the front desk closes at 10 PM, so check-in has to happen before then, which can be a bit tricky. Other than that, everything was truly wonderful. I would absolutely stay here again — and definitely plan to in the future!
- 5/5
Kind and professional staff. Nice and clean rooms but a little dated. Love the kitchen option in our room
- 3/5
We stay here last month. The room was much bigger than on this stay.
- 5/5

- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay, great hotel! Thank you!
- 4/5
Good location for a beach hotel, albeit right on the very noisy PC HIGHWAY. A good budget option with no frills.
- 4/5
Beach view from our tiny bathroom window over construction. Room was ok- very small. The floor didn’t feel like it had’nt been swept for a while . The bathroom was also very small, no place to put toiletries. The shower door was so small I could barely get in and I’m not a big person. Very little hot water, it was lukewarm at best. Bed and pillows were ok. No breakfast provided, just coffee and tea.
- 4/5
It also meant that we couldn't relax during the day in the room since that construction was loud an annoying. The room itself was fine, beds were comfortable and clean, watching TV was pointless as they only offered a very limited set of cable channels with no guid, so it was a nice time travel back to 90s cable TV. We were not here for the TV though and being close enough to walk to many restaurants and shops was nice, its just down the street from a public beach and every location were were there for was either wakable or within a very short drive. Overall, when you add in the value, I would stay here again as the other options we looked at were 10-15 miles south and we would have had to drive around a lot more.
- 3/5
The room was what I expected but the shower was very small. Unfortunately the bathroom had an ant problem. We did not do breakfast the first day and we checked to see what time breakfast was as we weren’t told when we checked in. We were told it went till 11am. The following day we decided to go down and get something and all they had was coffee and yogurt. The bed had a pillow top but the mattress felt too hard. We were also disappointed that there was no elevator. We are older and the stairs were manageable but it was hard with luggage Overall this was an okay place to stay but I think we will choose someplace different in the future.
- 4/5
very comfortable hotel great location ac is great didn’t have much to watch on tv but didn’t mind only thing i disliked was the ants in the bathroom
- 5/5
Love the place.. close to the beach
- 4/5
Old building but kept nicely with lots of plants. Great parking. Beach access close by.
- 5/5
The suite was spacious, clean and had a beautiful ocean view. Loved the kitchen area and it was nice to have a couple couches as well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Lovely boutique hotel, loved our ocean view with balcony
- 4/5
The room is basic and nothing special. The outside is cuter than the inside. It’s a basic room that is located right next to the beach and minutes from great places to eat and shop. Wish the inside was a little more updated but great location and free parking !!!
- 4/5
Really had a great night there, room is small but thats Laguna
- 5/5
Amazing staff, very friendly - allowed me to park earlier and leave later than check out time. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Laguna. Fantastic stay, would definitely recommend it to anyone!
- 5/5
Grreat views
- 4/5
This hotel is very charming and cozy overall. Our bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, the AC was effective, and the property location was very convenient to the beach and the town. Unfortunately there were ants throughout our room sporadically and the bathroom was a bit tight despite the relatively high nightly price. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay.
- 2/5
This hotel is not a hotel. It is a motel at best. The rooms are ridiculously small and while the view to the ocean is nice, there is construction going on in the house between the coast and the property, which doesn’t do much for the view. The check in policy also speaks to the type of property this is. Rather than a pleasant experience, all they do is make sure each and every policy is adhered too, much like when checking into a sleezy motel. Such a mistake and such a waste of money. My wife and I opted to leave early, so that we could get a good nights rest back home. Not at all the weekend getaway we were hoping for. Also, the location of the property is an extensive walk from the center of town.
- 5/5
2 minute walk from the beach! Wonderful staff.
- 2/5
Ants in the room, filthy lobby and construction noise.
- 5/5
Perfect place for a getaway
- 5/5
I love Laguna Beach and this hotel was just right. Not fancy but sweet with everything you need. Good location without being in the crowded center. The town trolley makes getting around easy and fun - leave your car at the hotel and walk or trolley. The lobby had lots of coffee and tea choices. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean with mini-kitchen. The view not great but sufficient. The beach was very close and convenient. I loved this property and will stay there next time.
- 2/5
The toilet was so close to the sink you barely had room. The shower was very small. The first floor room was extremely noisy with people walking overhead at 2am in the morning. Exterior grounds needed sweeping and the breakfast area and lobby looked umkempt. Will not stay here again even tho reasonable price.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 1/5
We had a terrible experience here. I don’t recommend this hotel at all. There are many options in Laguna and Dana Point that I would stay in. I’d rather sleep in my car.
- 2/5
But the worst thing about staying here was the advertised “ocean view”. Your ocean view is a view of 20 million dollar houses blocking the shoreline, with construction going on of another house. You get a wake up call at 7:15 am with pounding, grinding, sawing and shouting. Your front view is of a busy road with endless traffic, and people. There is no grass anywhere to be found. If you bring your dog be aware that the nearest grass in across the street and down one block. Keep this in mind if you need to take your pup out in the middle of the night. Laguna Beach in general was mediocre. The food everywhere was nothing special, there are people coming out of the woodwork, the traffic was horrendous. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.
- 5/5
Wonderful little hotel, love all the plants
- 4/5
Perfect stay for our wedding elopement. Walking distance to beach and nice coffee shops to walk to.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
We will stay again.
- 5/5
I'm tempted to gatekeep this charming hotel, but they asked for a review, so... it's great. Location, amenities, staff, rooms - no complaints. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
It's right on the beach, close to some of my favorite restaurants overall Pleasant Boutique Hotel.
- 5/5
We booked this specific property because we had our furry friend with us and their pet fee was reasonable. Once we arrived, we were very pleased with the property and we walked to the Pageant. So convenient and walkable to restaurants & bars. We had an ocean view which had a patio. Very relaxing. Parking was included. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Easy access for parking, it’s close to many beaches and super clean!
- 3/5
Location and the free parking are excellent. However, the floor was dirty, which we did not appreciate at all.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms, and easy access to the beach. Would recommend to anyone - 10/10
- 5/5
Nice place but the walls are pretty thin
- 4/5
Great place with all the basics you need. Only downside is no shaders for curtains so everyone sees in if you want sun light. Love the coffee lobby area, and GREAT location
- 5/5
place was quiet and clean. Staff was ok, not very warm or inviting. Maid service seemed to be frustrated, at what I’m not sure. Overall was a good visit
- 4/5
Excellent location, cleaninles and service, just a bit noisy.
- 5/5
Beautiful views great staff great location OK good talking to you, Chad
- 3/5
This hotel is an old property. No elevator to the second floor. We had the king bed with an ocean view and balcony which was nice. However a new house is being built right outside our balcony so noisy early in the morning. The room is very small and the walk-in shower is tiny. Free parking which is a plus and also Laguna Trolley close to hotel. $495/night is pretty pricey in our opinion.
- 5/5
The property was charming. Much care is taken in small details. Coffee and danish in lobby in morning. P;ants and foliage all around, Got cheaper room with sliver of view. It was fine though! Good value.
- 2/5
Excellent location. Staff friendly. Owner needs to maintain property better.
- 1/5
The rooms are so small and the pictures deceiving.
- 2/5
Bathroom is very, very small. Overall it is motel style property.
- 5/5
We stayed in the family suite and couldn't have asked for a better view/accommodations. 10/10!!!
- 5/5
Great location. The quiet end of town with my favorite uncrowded beach coves just steps away. Staff is excellent. Clean rooms! I’ll be back to stay again
- 5/5
This was such a great place to stay. The room and area were very clean! Staff was helpful, hotel was centrally located to restaurants and some of the best beaches in Laguna. I would definitely recommend staying here!
- 2/5
Nice location but for the price was not worth it. Not a luxurious hotel by any means, closer to a motel. Perfect if you’re looking to just crash somewhere for the night. No amenities really besides parking.

Clean and can walk to the beach.

The location of the hotel was perfect, with a stunning ocean view. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. We had a king ocean view room. The room was spacious, but quite outdated. The bed was not a full king, but that wasn't an issue. The rooms are not very well insulated, so it can be noisy. They have ear plugs in the room, so that wasn't a great sign. It wasn't very bad, apart from a few drunken guests arguing outside our door in the middle of the night... Overall it's an okay hotel, but considering what we paid (tax and fees included, more than $450 a night), it was disproportionate. Iwoute expect a more upgraded bathroom and much less noise. I don't think we'll stay here again.

Arrived early - told our room was ready and we could go use it if paid $35 early check in fee. Declined to pay even more for a room that was sitting waiting to be used but at least was allowed to park car there before check in.

I can't imagine anyone not liking Laguna Beach. A great little artsy community. This was a great hotel right near the beach. Walk down the stars and hit the sand and ocean.

Great location and right next to the beach! Everything in walking distance!

Loved the fact that the property was right in the middle of where my wife and I could walk around and enjoy a nice dinner and grab a couple of cocktails! Great ocean view!

Very cute little place . We definitely will stay here again .

Very friendly staff and lobby open all day for tea or coffee. Easy parking at no extra cost. Beautiful landscaping with many potted plants.

Close to ocean

Enjoying our 1 night stay here at Laguna Cove. Bed is incredibly comfortable. Rooms are cute but a tad small and walls are on the thinner side. Great view even from the first floor even though you see a construction site, right past that is just ocean. Very close to town and the trolley stop. Would come back for sure.

We were in town for a wedding and stayed one night at an expensive resort. We wanted to extend our Laguna experience and found this waterfront hotel at a price we could afford. It is definitely from the Laguna I remember from my high school years and the room had everything you could need. The lobby had snacks and information and the view was the same view as the most expensive hotel.

Beautifully furnished. sparkling clean room. There was construction out back--I wore earplugs with white noise and left room during the day which made it okay. You will hear costal highway traffic but it's not too bad. I found the mattress too soft to sleep so I flipped it and slept a lot better. Overall, a fantastic option for the price

Great option for reasonable prices in Laguna Beach

The exterior of building was so beautiful, the sheets were very soft to touch, wonderdul treats in the morning to go with coffee , and lets not forget the 1 min walk to the beach. I have to come back .

Looks so much bigger in the pictures. It’s a cozy small stay. Our Beach view was behind a construction site on the property behind of the hotel. The bathroom was pretty small and the sink water pressure was super slow. Also the walls are super thin we were hearing our next door neighbors til 3:00 am, we couldn’t notify anyone because the desk person isn’t available after a certain time at night.

Ezekiel at reception was fantastic and this quaint little property is a great place to stay

Need so much repair, room around dirty dusty and the shower water not functioning well fluctuating between really hot or really cold. Strong sewer smell inside room called front desk no one available at night, when reported staff was rude and only ask to check out. Expedia has the wrong rating it should be 2 rating please update rating so everyone avoid this horrible hotel it was a real nightmare

Right at the beach!

Freshly cleaned and great location. The early morning traffic on the street might be a bit loud but that wasn’t a huge issue for me. Front desk is very friendly and accommodating.

This is such a darling little place to stay ♥️

Great hotel!! Rooms could be a little cleaner but overall a great stay! It’s super cute and has a B&B type feel to it. The rooms are also decorated nicely and I thought it was a great building! Obviously could be a little newer but I had no issues with it! Thanks!

I was in a room in the corner and it was loud with traffic. Not the best to get a nights sleep. Very friendly staff and darling vintage motel.

Little hidden gem. Really nice rooms and right in the heart of Laguna. Will definitely be returning!!

Not bad, but I’d probably look elsewhere for the price point.

Amenable staff about check-in times

Property was wonderful for those who enjoy walking, beach access was perfectly close. Cute room with an ocean view. The staff was very nice, lobby had coffee n muffins. I walked everywhere from many restaurants to choose from, shopping and sight seeing. The price was very reasonable too

Stayed one night. Cute hotel (exterior is more charming than the interior of the rooms but still nice). Comfy bed and pillows. Small tv but that was ok. Bathroom was very nice and updated with nice products provided. Small bistro table in room to eat or use laptop which was helpful. Deposit was $150 (a little high for the property imo). Convenient free parking right out your hotel door. Free cappucino in the morning in the lobby which was wonderful. Intense policy about dogs. It was like $55 a day plus they wanted dog vaccine records-over the top. We didn’t bring our dog on this trip but $50+ a day is nuts.

Power went off in the middle of the night in the sleeping area (still had power in the bathroom) was moderately inconvenient.
