Hampton Inn Valdosta/Lake Park Area

My nephew and I were there for two days and had a very nice stay.

Was greeted warmly at Check-in. We arrived after the power had gone out and were not able to get a key to the room but the staff was able to let us in our room. Comfortable beds.

Nice hotel. Shower wasn’t the cleanest I’ve seen and the bed was harder than I like, but I would stay there again.

Both the women who checked us in and when we left where friendly and personable. We where on 2nd floor i could hear someone above easily.

Had no issues with my pup. Getting xbox setup. Bfast was fab!! #scones

Price was good. Happy breakfast was included with many options. Rate it 8/10 because hot food is processed. Room cleanliness was average as there was a large poorly patched area in bathroom ceiling and a dead roach on the floor.

This was a beautifully appointed hotel with a friendly, welcoming staff. So happy they had an actual door to the bathroom versus the sliding barn doors of other Hamptons we've stayed at that don’t ensure privacy. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers!

Liked only the location and front desk clerks pleasant. Breakfast was pathetic and coffee station not restocked in timely manner. Pull-down shades instead of curtains did not block the lights from outside the building. Could not sleep. First room we were in had door not to fire code. Door opened into hallway instead of into room. The "window" overlooked the breakfast area below and had no escape access. Noisy fitness room was on other side of the thin wall. Moved to a family suite but could not sleep because of lights from outside all night. They need true blackout curtains.

Staff was great. However the atrium seemed to amplify any noise. And while it smelled great the cooking for breakfast wafting in from the atrium woke me up too early.

Friendly and helpful check in

The breakfast was on point and was free. They had mini cheese omelettes which I really enjoyed. I wish the shade in the room was more blacked out, it was a little bright. Other than that it was great.

One big disappointment was that on the hotel listing, it said cribs were available. When we got there, they didn’t even have any cribs on property. We would not have booked this hotel knowing that. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and the staff was nice, so for anyone that doesn’t have a baby or that needs a pet-friendly place, this would be fine.

The room was fine except that the tub did not drain well and I could not get conditioner out of the container.

Unfortunately, my family members came down with the flu and we had to cancel our trip after the cancellation date had past.

It’s a good place to stay, my only complaint is that you can hear everything around you. But the AC kind of drowns it out. Our room was clean and slept very well. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was so yummy! Make your own waffle? Yes please!

Front staff very friendly and funny.

Breakfast was fine. All was good/ Front desk person was very helpful taking care of a booking problem e had. Motel convenient to town and interstate. Not motels fault but not comfortable eating around several people in their pj,s and apparent they had done very little grooming that morning. / Other than that all was great /

Cold breakfast not very warm

The location is a great spot for visiting our family in the area. Getting in and out is easy and it is close to many restaurants. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. We happened to arrive a bit early on this trip but our room was ready and we were allowed to check in. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pillow was just right for me! The hotel is beside a McDonald's and a Cracker Barrel. Our room was on the McDonald's side. For some reason, McDonald's had workers on their roof very early on a Saturday morning making lots of noise. We were getting up fairly early so it wasn't a huge problem but for anyone wanting to sleep in they wouldn't have been able to do so

There was a dirty tissue in my bed (did not belong to me and was under the sheets when I pulled them back) and a questionable stain on the chair. One can use their imagination on a hotel room stain that looked like that right next to the bed.

The staff was helpful. But, we requested a handicapped room and they did not have adequate supplies. The bath had a tub with 4 rails but no seat and no rubber mat. The only seat the staff could find was as big as the tub and not usable.

The location was nice. The staff was incredibly inattentive and slow. They were chatting with other people in the foyer instead of checking people in. You could have given the employee a megaphone and still not been able to hear her she talked so softly. Breakfast was not good either.

False advertisements -the hotel advertises a hot tub/jacuzzi and none exist on the property.

Hard bed. Had to kill a roach in our room.

The room was filthy and the pillows were covered in hair. The room was right next door to the hotel laundry area, so we were kept awake most of the night by the running of the machines. The bed was also quite hard. One of the power outlets next to the bed didn't work.

Then they charged us for the room again. Our credit company showed we paid the 3rd party and the hotel an hour later on the phone. Breakfast was “free” so you get what you pay for so to speak. Night shift employees were friendly but couldn’t explain why the payment from hotels.com didn’t go through. Day shift on Friday was above awesome by being professional and explained the pymt had been declined. Before then and after a few hours sleep we hit the road again and ended up getting a refund from hotels.com Hotel staff did state that the “cheaper” rooms had no t.v. on the wall. I’d never heard that before. Also after using hotels.com for over a decade, that was a first. Photo is where the t.v used to be. *smh

Great overnight option along I75. Clean spacious room. Good breakfast. Convenient location next door to Cracker Barrel.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. It has all the amedias you need like a microwave,fridge,tv,,ac/heater,ironing board,blow dryer,nice shower etc. They have a great breakfast buffet with 3 hot foods and other stuff. They have an outdoor pool but it isnt open for the season yet. There is no hottub. Staff is friendly and they have a beautiful rock formation with Hampton inn wrote on it outside. This hotel has 3 stories and an elevator. It is only a 10 or 15 minute drive from Wild Adventures Themepark. It's next to Cracker Barrel and Macdonald's. I recommended this hotel. I have photos but this android app wont let me upload. I assume cause of a software bug that needs to be fixed.

Expedia 's listing states a hot tub. There is no hot tub. Never been a hot tub. Be sure to check the properties own web site for amenities, as Expedia is not thorough in their information.

Property is pet friendly, but has very little grassy areas for pet relief. Luckily you can walk back behind the Cracker Barrel.

Everything was truly fine except that if the AC wasn’t on super cold, everything felt moist. Luckily the staff provided extra blankets and we were very cozy in bed. I don’t recommend getting a room near the breakfast area as it can be loud.

A/C struggled.

Told room had bath tub. Did not have tub front desk said ARE YOU SURE?! I rechecked, (nope) still no tub.. moved to another room. Terrible for a Hampton, but traveling is exhausting and we needed to sleep so desperately. Get settled, fall asleep and not even an hour later we both up! It was 82° in a room that was already very disappointing!! And yet another room. Get settled in and finally fall asleep until the dog in the next room starts barking and wakes the entire floor up at 5am. Worse Hampton visit EVER!

Comfy bed, excellent shower.

We were very tired and hungry after a long day of driving. Check in was a breeze, dining within walking distance. It was even pet friendly.

Close to places to eat and I70. Drain for sink in bathroom did not work . Staff was helpful .

I stood in the lobby for 10 minutes before an employee got out of her vehicle and walked in through the front, didn’t say hi or anything. Just walked around me, logged in and mumbled what I assumed is “How can I help you?”

Very pretty interior! Either new or newly renovated and nice and clean.

Nice place to stop for a rest on our travels. Was disappointed there was no hot tub as advertised on Expedia. Was really looking forward to a soak after driving 18hrs. But the bed was comfortable and the hotel was quite.

Worst experience. Hotel has the worst customer service ever. Needed hotel for same night made a mistake of booking next month - said no problem can can cancel and book same night but would still have to pay again. Spent nearly an hour getting reservations updated between hotels.com and property but then couldn’t check in because needed confirmation number. In the end had to cancel altogether and pay for yet a third reservation. I will never use this app/program again. Stay away from this property as they could care less about you and your business.

The room was good but the breakfast was a cold one.

When checking in we told the clerk at the desk my husbands card had been hacked and we would be using cash. She said they could not accept cash if I had not had enough money on my card would they have turned us away. She didn’t seem to care about our dilemma.

I called the day before and confirmed this reservation and then as we were pulling into town got a call from them that our reservation was canceled. Very disappointing.

Ask for the light by the bed to have a light bulb, was told they where ordeing a part. Poor girl at the desk was new and the manager hardly helped her with the situation. I asked to be moved to another room after manager finally spoke with me. Was given a new room. After much discusion. Because i booked the room with expedia was told they didnt get my booking until sinday. I booked it a month ago. Im tired of being treated like second rate citzen because i used your app, this has happened frequently. Hotels dont like that we are not booking direct with them.

Valdosta was a very nice stay.The staff was very helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and convenient. Easy on and off I-75 and many food options nearby. 👍

Everything went great with check in and with the room.

Additionally, I was put in a room behind the elevator closet and had the opportunity to hear the elevator every time it was utilized. Lastly and comically, the hearing impaired room was also directly next to the elevator closet - I’m sure that was planned. This was an underwhelming and disappointing stay.

This Comfort Inn was disappointing compared to the Comfort Inn the previous night. Nothing complimentary offered when we checked in, no cookies to go with our coffee. There were no bath towels in our bathroom. When I called to get some she told me I could come down to the desk and she'd hand them to me. Lady taking care of putting out breakfast was late getting it out and did not look happy to be there

Usually choose Hampton for cleanliness. This property is shabby. The room door didn't close properly, there were bugs in the room, and the paint needs attention. Disappointed.

Interior room, newly converted from another purpose room, poor sound insulation, no exterior window. Hotel called it(and charged for) a suite but actually just a large room, with no dividers for separate area.

I was charged an excessive $50.00 pet deposit two times plus a $100.00 incidental additional deposit. The $100.00 was credited back but am still waiting on the second $50.00 credit. At one point what was $130.00 night turned into $310.00. I never would have booked had I known.
