Hall ways smelled horrid bathroom was not overly clean

Iangl the ppl and environment was questionable a little bit but the hotel was smooth easy check in no hidden fees except when i book online there’s a 100$ hold till checkout. And BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE gotta pay dough for that which was to me lame but it was cool tho.

It was a decent location. We believe we may have left a few items when we checked out like clothes and the hotel didn't call to let us know. We know it's our responsibility but a courtesy call would have been nice

I like the location. It was within shopping area. It was also five minutes away from where my family actually stay. I didn’t like the fact that I’ve been to Best Westerns all over the country, but this was the first woman which I had to pay for breakfast. Used to best westerns with continental breakfast. That is probably why I won’t go back.

The hotel was nice. Staff was professional, nice and helpful. Not sure if there’s a club there but it sounded like one and if there was there was no you know drama everyone sounded to happen be having a great time. Breakfast was OK. They had an omelette station, etc. etc. it was pretty nice. Coffee could be better.

The room was clean and the pool is nice. The breakfast was kind of cold, the water in the shower took a long time to get hot, the toilet kept running so we had to keep taking the lid of the back off the toilet to fix it every time we flushed

when we checked in, we weren't told the room was above the club, so the noise level was bad. We felt we were inside the club. I would recommend disclose that particular especially if the rooms are on the 2nd floor.

The property had paid breakfast options which is nice considering that there are few options nearby. The staffs were nice. It is in a parking lot beside a highway. At night, the blinders needed to be on as otherwise the lights from the highway can prevent you from sleeping. The blinder was great though and turned the room dark.

I was under the impression that a continental breakfast was included as is the standard for this area. At check in a breakfast inviation was made advising us of the hour and procedure to pay at the front desk to get a ticket to use. I had to inquire on the cost and was told $10.99. I would have preferred to have the cost inccluded in the hotel nightly amount. Typically I might grab a few pieces of fruit and some toast and be on my way and that would not justify a $10.99 expense. However, the hotel fee could easily have been $11.00 higher without losing buisiness and I would have paid it and enjoyed myquick bite before hitting the road.

Satisfactory room conditions. The bed frame was damaged, the hot water shower could be a little more hot, the lamps could be more stable. The old mop head cleaning system is outdated. Invest in the new style rectangular mopping microfiber pads. Front desk staff need to improve on speed while maintaining quality with dealing with multiple customers.

Yes everything was great except Saturday and Sunday i guess they was moving new furniture in held up the elevator from customer

When we checked in they informed us that there would be renovations being done, but why did they put us on a floor where we were awaken to loud noise and talking early in the morning. Not to mention when we came out of our room we had to go through a maze of furniture and box springs and mattresses to get to the elevator. I may come back to stay, but not until the renovations are done.

Room was comfortable, daily housekeeping, quaint gym, nearby play area at Becketts field for kids, over the road to convenience stores, a restaurant and fast food. Buffet breakfast was good, have as much as you like with a good variety and can takeaway too. But don't get the dinner in the evening, none of the three of us could eat it.

Nice place to keep away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy.

The staff was amazing. Breakfast was great and the area was very convenient many stores around and eatery as well as the location for the Amtrak.

Like the location of the hotel right off the highway and easy access. Plenty of restaurants in the area. As far as the rooms were clean and like that the floors in the rooms were hard laminate. I will definitely stay again

Our room smelled heavily of mildew. Staff entered my room at 5:30 in the morning without even knocking and again a hour before check out ,againn without knocking. I spoke to the manger about the issue and he had no idea who entered our room and said housekee doenst even come in untill 9 am. So who had a key to my room and why doesnt anyone know about it. Allegedly the staff wasnt even aware that i had booked my room even thouhh i paid for it.

The only good thing was breakfast. Apart from this everything was poor. The hotel is very old, sofa and chair in the room are dirty and old, it gives a feel like you entered the 1980’s. When I went down in the lobby, around 8 pm to fill water, everyone was just staring at me, which was a bit weird. The parking lot is huge and empty, you may feel a bit concerned about your vehicle. Noticed a few guys just sitting in their cars while I was parking, didn’t feel safe with family. Would never stay again here, location is very secluded.

Our stay was perfect. We were so tired from attending the football game so we didn’t make it down for breakfast but I’m sure that would have been great too! Thank you so much for a great stay!

Hotel is in desperate need for an upgrade. I was assigned a room and the bedsheet was DIRTY/SOILED. Went back to the front desk to inform them. My room was changed. You guessed it. It bedsheet was also soiled. Infact the second room was worse that the first. I politely informed them that I would NOT be staying and asked for my refund.

Reported to front desk about bathroom leak wet floor. Was advised to contact expedia since booked through third party. Water dripping from light. Told maintenance and housekeeping as well as front desk. Water leaking from light but was told it could be from room above 307.

And since it's not close to stores, a more inclusive gift shop would have added a plus to the facility.

When you enter the doubel doors of the hotel, the first thing you smell is old cigarette smoke and weed. Front desk was nice. Room air conditioning did not work, bathroom was dirty, cigarette burn hole in the sheet of a nonsmoking room ? Entire third floor smelled like weed. There is an entire club on the first floor that was blasting music Saturday night, which could be heard on the third floor. You can hear your neighbors very clearly in their rooms. People were at the hotel just to go to club, not staying at the hotel. If you want breakfast, it’s 10.95 a person, not included in your stay. The elevator can fit max 3 AVERAGE size people with a bag, no luggage. I have no clue how this hotel was rated 8/10 ! Maybe 2/10 if that.

The "club" was SO LOUD... Even on the third floor the music was loud enough to keep me awake and be annoying. Check in was painfully slow even at midnight and the room was meh. I would not return or recommend this hotel.

It’s not a fancy hotel but I think the value is great. The 2 queen bed room was very spacious for our group of three. I really appreciated the hassle-free complimentary parking. The outdoor pool was lovely and an awesome part of our weekend. I would stay here again.

This was okay for a short stay. While staying here, the elevator stopped working. Which meant we had to walk up four flights of stairs. That was crazy but it’s cool.

Loved the saturday night party thats been going on for 30+ years. Everyone was gracious, hospitable and dressed clean enough to make me think twice about my life, lol.

Rooms and hallways need some serious updating. Online it says breakfast is complimentary but it actually wasn’t. This was something I looked specifically for in a hotel so was upset when I found out it wasn’t.

Do not be deceived by the nice pictures of this hotel. It is dirty and run down. The bathroom floor was sticky. It is also right beside the beltway and very noisy all night long making sleep nearly impossible.

The lobby had an odor

I enjoyed my stay but I didn't like the way we were treated when I requested a late check out. I was informed it would be an additional cost of $50 and questioned that but I agreed because I stepped to pick up some stuff, and didn't have any other option than to pay. However, there big bang on the door after I agreed to pay and it was another employee at the door with an attitude to inform me about the additional cost for not checking out on time. That wasn't a good experience and you should do better with that. It would also be helpful to inform guests at check-in about the extra charge, as most hotels accept late check-out requests with any additional cost. Other than that we enjoyed our stay overall.

My stay was great, we always stay at this location whenever we come in town because we are comfortable here and it feels like home however our entire stay when we requested more blankets, washcloths and towels they were never available. We also requested a roll away bed for $25 but that was unavailable as well. Also during the weekend while the club was open there weren’t any parking spaces for hotel guests and I cannot understand why they would not prioritize guests who are staying at the hotel before the ones who are attending the club

My stay was pretty good. The room was clean. The front desk was very pleasant and helpful.

The best western at new Carlton Maryland is very the same. It looks the same way as it does on its website. The rooms are clean and they have been updated. Other items do need to be updated, but they are clean and wholesome for a price conscious customer. The only issue I had is with communication communications. I went and made my reservations, but upon the date several days before my arrival, they could not find my reservation so I had to make new reservations. I was unable to contact the hotel directly. I had to actually go to the hotel to talk to someone at the front desk. I was giving her runaround so many times is ridiculous And that hotel reservation employees were very deceptive. The amount I was quoted online was not the amount that I was charged upon going to the hotel and also I had no rewards at all.

The property was clean and staff was nice but the bed was very uncomfortable my back hurt the whole weekend.

If you are looking to be able to sleep I would not recommend staying here on a weekend. The hotel has a “lounge” which was essentially a night club and there were people outside our room yelling and screaming until after 2am.

We were there for the Commanders football game on Nov 10th. We were there foe the whole weekend. It was windwrdul.The room was very clean and the beds were amazing. The only thing is that we were not told that a ticket was needed for breakfast. Other than that, it was amazing.

Price was okay. Bedding had holes in sheets room hada smell of marijuana. Breakfast was okay. Differently needs to be remolded ASAP.

I did not like that a bed spring was sticking up through mattress and caused skin breakage and a bruise. They did move me to another room in thier defense but only gave me approx $60 off my stay because of the inconvenience on my 5 day stay. And the couches and chairs in both rooms are very run down and shabby dirty looking. Staff was nice. But i feel like i should have been given half price because of my injury. May had needed a tetanus shot. What if spring may have pierced the customer's skin prior to my stay with bleeding and all then I come and same thing. Germs, infection etc in my system. So $60 off was a slap to my face.

Upon booking the listing said there was a sofa bed. When we get to the room there was not one, however staff brough us a rollaway bed immediately. I appreciate how they accommodated us so quickly.

The room smelled bad. Not sure if it was a chemicals they used, or just old really old furniture in the room. Unfortunately, I was exhausted after 3.5 hour drive and didn't want to deal with front desk and didn't have energy to find a new hotel. Low popcorn ceilings, small TV, no e-guide, just generic remote to flip thru all channels until you find one you like.

There was music blaring from an event hosted at the hotel both nights until well into the early morning, it was very hard to sleep.

I wanted to be warned about the 2 am club as well as help with transportation. The room also smelled like cigarettes.

The very friendly staff were the best part. Clean pool, comfy beds. Perfect for my kids and me.

I think the hotel needs to upgrade the washrooms. Also for the price of the hotel I think breakfast should have been included.

The beds and room features that were published online about this hotel were not what were on the ground. Very nosisy and loud music from a club under the rooms that goes on till 2 a.m everyday, and customers have no information about this at the time of booking. I had my worse hotel experience here. Never again at "Best" Western.

Hotel was somewhat easy to find has shuttle van to take you to main area downtown first shift front desk lady was very nice and helpful. Hotel needs some updating and rooms were clean except a little more attention to detail on bathroom floor pool was outside and a little chilly but tolerable. Gift shop was packed full that you could hardly turn around. Nights are a little nerving as it appeared to have people hanging out smoking and trying to hookup with guests staying there. Occasionally smelled like weed especially in elevator. I would stay here again.

My daughter, grandkids 8,2,1 years old and I checked out in the morning headed out to breakfast getogether. Found my daughter’s car on the ground with 4 tires stolen. Another car couple stales down same thing with his window smashed. Ran inside to talk to front desk with no sympathy but a “yeah u should call the police “ I also asked because they charge $10 a person for breakfast if they could comp breakfast just for the kids because they were hungry. Response “let me check “ they did end up letting the kids eat. We got more sympathy n help by all the guests staying at the hotel. And a big thank you to all of them. A lady bought water for the kids, some offered to watch the children since we were in the parking lot. But absolutely no apology, sympathy or care from staff. I have NEVER had an experience like this EVER at a hotel or motel.

Please look at review's and or do your research before booking. After having am amazing day we came back to the hotel to sleep and we found out that within the hotel there is a club that's available to anyone. They have security and wanding down of guest. When we were all packed to leave we encounter a gentleman in the elevator who asked us "have you been outside, have you gone to your car" when we stepped outside we saw police car and people clearly upset to see that all 4 tires where stolen and their car flat on the floor, this happened to a couple of cars. These cars were parked in the spots facing the front entrance to the left. I am not sure what time this happened but I know there are security cameras all around and this can be viewed by the reception staff as I saw it within the reception desk. All this happened and no one saw??? Or heard the noise that comes with the removal or tires??? Luckily our car wasn't affected but these poor people, what they woke up to an additional expense. So sad, I can admit I didn't look close enough at the reviews but going forward this is a must.

This property is noisy and crowded by people who drink and smoke weed. The noise and smell was crazy. I don’t recommend this place for anyone.
