Staff was amazing from the front desk, to Jim the shuttle driver, to a Jen at the bar/restaurant. Room and hallways were clean and well maintained. Would 100 percent book again when in the area!!

Tried a couple ways to connect to the WiFi and it never worked, including the exact instructions the staff gave me. The highlight was the breakfast

There were multiple stains on the ceiling. Paid for a room with small kitchen however there were no utensils cups or glasses. Had to request cleaning as they missed two days of refreshing towels and taking out trash. Disappointed as prices were high due to multiple college graduation but inexcusable as to quality and cleanliness of rooms and common spaces. Air conditioner not working properly

The staff was amazing. Attentive and respectful. The restroom had a barn style door for the bathroom which restricted privacy. The tub needed to be cleared as it was holding water. The room was advertised as a suite but was just a two queen room.

Room was clean but a luttle dated. Staff were nice enough but inpatient when there were several guests in line. Breakfast was good but pricey. Hot tub and pool are great. Only 1 guest laundry with 1 washer and 1 dyer and no change machines. Front desk had no change. Ive stayed here many times and usually enjoy the hotel but this times a little disappointing.

We chose the hotel because we wanted to use the pool and hot tub. We were breaking up our trip between Ohio and Vermont. We tried to use the pool despite it being crowded. It was fine until a mob of teenage girls came in and took over. The younger tournament kids and their parents all got out of there and warned me that it was going to get bad. They jumped in the pool, splashed myself and my 6 year old. Crammed themselves into the hot tub while we were using it and their “adult” had them move into the corner where my small child was for a photo. Not one of them saw him or even looked. They just pushed him out of the way. When we couldn’t take the screaming, we left. The person at the front desk claimed it would be a HIPPA violation to warn that a large group was in most of the hotel. She also refused to say anything to the rude guests because it wasn’t 10 pm. Pool closes at 10. She offered to refund my room at 9 pm so I could leave and stay elsewhere. So rude.

The staff were over the top friendly and helpful. From the moment I got there, they were greeting me and offering me services. JJ and the bar was fantastic. She made sure that everybody had fun

I will be back if even just for dinner! The room and pool and hot tub were great, but JJ at dinner made the trip the best!!!! Very happy with the service and food!!! JJ made great recommendations and her personality was amazing we are thinking about returning just to see her and have more awesome food!!!!

I only booked this hotel to go swimming with my daughter and the pool was closed… the hotel staff told me that I could get a refund through hotels.com which was not true I did not ever get a refund. I called nothing happened. I will not be booking with this site again and I will not book this hotel again. Very disappointed the room was actually pretty dirty too and then I believe it’s a free breakfast and the breakfast was $15.

The room was dirty upon arrival!! Needed to request a room change. Urine in toilet with hairs on seat upon entry. Half drank cups of coffee and open water bottles and snacks were left were left throughout the room, and stains from cups on tables/ surfaces. Breakfast attendant was very rude and stared making the breakfast experience that I paid extra for very awkward and uncomfortable by shouting out across the area and having a bad attitude. When calling to speak to management about my experience.. note currently it's been 3+ days and no one has reached out to me by email or called me back. I've made several attempts (5) by phone and via email. I sent photos via email to the operations manager as well. Also these things were documented with the front desk staff at the hotel before leaving. Customer service and professionalism needs to be improved at this establishment. All of these are unnecessary things to experience when booking a hotel stay. I'd post the pictures for you if I could.. but there is no option here.

The Holiday in express used to stand for a quality hotel with exemplary amenities. I guess that's not the case any more. I wont be back

Was looking forward to enjoy the pool and hot tub on new Year's Eve to relax before a flight but there was a sign saying pool closed.

Room was clean, staff were very nice, they had a great restaurant and bar. The food was amazing for bar food. You must get the huge stuffed tater tots and chicken tenders. The pool was a bit cool but the hot tub was amazing. We did not pay for the breakfast so I can't say anything about it. The walk in shower was slippery. We got a room with a one plate stove , nice size fridge and microwave and sink. I really appreciated this as I brought my 3 grandkids. Don't hesitate to book you will not be disappointed.

The suite was a nice space with the bed area, kitchenette, and sitting area. The room was very clean and the bed was very confortable.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was amazing and so friendly. Everything was very clean. Great amenities and lots of places to eat close by. The King suite was excellent value for the money. The bed was super comfortable and staff provided extra pillows and towels immediately when we asked. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing helpful staff 10/10 for cleanliness. Breakfast buffet only for 15$ free for kids. 10/10 in every aspect everything was soo new up to date feee 24/7 Starbucks in the lobby!!

Room was fine. On check in we were told by staff free breakfast 6a to 10a. When we went to breakfast they asked for voucher..when I went to desk we were told breakfast was not included and we would have to pay for it. We left and went out to breakfast and spent another $36. Had 2 more reservations at this hotel but canceled and made reservations at smother hotel that included breakfast for same price.

Shower head was broken, and shower door didn’t shut fully. Hot tub in pool area was broken for our stay, which is 1/2 the reason we booked there. Guest above us were VERY noisy.

This hotel was advertised with free breakfast. When we checked in they told us breakfast was at 6am. We arrived at breakfast, they told us breakfast was $15/person because we weren’t with a team. We were declined breakfast.

We have stayed at this hotel many times when my daughter was at Syracuse University and we loved the morning breakfast and the bar/restaurant because it always had live entertainment on weekends and we were very disappointed to learn they no longer have live music and breakfast was very limited. If it were not for the incredible staff from checking in to wait staff who all went out of there way to be friendly hospitable and provided excellent service I would have rated everything a 2 or 3 at best.

Front desk manager was very professional.My husband dropped off our rental car at the airport and Jeff brought him back to holiday inn. Later, Jeff drove us to dinner and picked us up. Next morning he drove us to airport. He was super helpful and accommodating. He is great at his job. We were only there one night but it was a great place to stay before departing.We highly recommend this holiday inn.

The stay overall was good. The pool was full of young kids that were unsupervised. They used at least 30 towels from the pool and were dipping them in the pool and hot tub. A few kids who were around 3-5 were in the hot tub as well. The hot tub was hot but they were waiting on a part to fix it, so you could still soak in it but not while it was full of kids.

I chose this property because it had a very nice swimming pool. However, when we arrived, there was a sign on the door that said the pool was out of order. I stayed for three days and the pool never opened. I understand that stuff happens. But it was a big disappointment.

The entire stay was excellent! From the shuttle ride, to the staff, everything was great! Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. I will always stay at this hotel when I come to Syracuse!

Check in staff were very kind and fast. Whole hotel and room was very clean. The bed was really uncomfortable and hard in my opinion. We chose this hotel because it had a pool and was disappointed to get here and find out the pool was not available. We were only here for one night and served it's purpose. Would stay again if needed.

One problem we had was when I closed the bathroom door (barn door style) the door became jammed and I couldn't get out of the bathroom! The door wouldn't budge. LUCKILY I wasn't alone. My husband had to tug on the door until it popped off the rail. I can't help but think about what would have happened if I was alone. unable to open the door, no phone, the door to my room was doubled locked. Maybe change the doors?

The hot tub was extremely hot but the jets didn’t work, we weren’t told. Our room didn’t have hot water in the shower and when we told the desk they said maintenance was coming and they never came. Everything else was nice

The hotel did not have my reservation that I made through Expedia and it was fully booked. After 45 minutes they “magically found a room”. What a shitshow

My room had the previous occupations trash in the bathroom trash can. I was here for a conference and when I went back to my room at 9:30 they were doing a check out clean on the room which I never checked out of. They took the food from my fridge it threw it away. I had left items on the bedside table and the house keeper told me she'd be done cleaning in a few minutes and I could come back. I spoke with the receptionist and her resolution was to offer me their free breakfast buffet ...... The conference room had Ac units with dripping water the first day and they turned them off the second day so when we showed up it was unbearably hot and humid.

Disappointing 1. We booked multiple rooms for multiple nights. We also drove in 2 hours to come here. 2. The kids were excited about swimming and was the primary reason your hotel was chosen. The pool was closed the whole time. 3. Also we requested more towels as we have a 3 month old and it was not available and never brought up 4. We also ran out of toilet paper in the night cause they were not replaced when to room was cleaned 5. Lastly overall service was disappointing

The breakfast was awesome and the staff providing the breakfast were so friendly and nice.

The staff was great. There was a leak in the workout room and debris in the hall. Drawers in the room would not stay closed, i had to prop items against them to keep them closed. Shower dripped. Breakfast buffet was barely warm. Dogs were barking and children running halls knocking on doors.

the cleaning just needs to be a little more closely looked at. there was some grit, etc in the suite around the 'stove' and around the close and tight spaces at the bases of the sink faucets etc.

I appreciate the extended stay parking and the close proximity to the airport. The hospitality of the staff from check-in to the server at the bar was excellent. Thank you!

At 2 am guests in hallway became very loud and no staff would quiet them

The check-in was not normal, they gave us our room cards then called us later that night to get a credit card for them to put on file for incidentals, rather than taking it during check-in or check-out.

The front staff was unwilling to remove the smokers as that was their designated smoking area. We had to ask the smokers ourselves to move given the circumstances. When more smokers returned, we decided to ask for another room. Which the staff did oblige, but only by putting us at the far end of the hotel. They didn’t offer any help to help us move our suitcases either. So we had to go back and forth several times in the middle of the night with an angry infant. Why put us in a room directly above the smoking area?! Especially when you can see that we have an infant with us?! That shouldn’t be on us to flag which non-smoking rooms are in fact non-smoking. And then why make moving in the middle of the night such a hassle for us and offer no help—despite there being staff standing around not helping guests. Considering this hotel? Save yourself the effort and go somewhere else.

Didn't honor the booked room. Happened to multiple people we spoke to at that hotel. Seems to be a common factor. Toilet rims were covered in black mold. We left wanting a refund. Still waiting at the time this was written.

Room was large but needed some updates. It was very cold and damp when we arrived in the room but even though we turned the heat up, it never got warmer. Apparently the temperature in the room is regulated so you cannot get it any warmer than management wants it to be. The TV in the room was very small and if your in bed, you can barely see it as the contrast was very dark. The channel controller would not work unless we got up and stood next to the TV and even then it was difficult to change channels. Frustrating! Shower was nice but it took about 5 minutes to get it where it was hot enough to get in. We got the Breakfast Buffet the next morning but was disappointed by the cold food that should have been hot. We did not use the restaurant. The staff was polite and apologized for our inconvenience but from the start to finish was not happy with a room we paid over $200.00 a night for. Will not stay again.

Nice hotel. We booked a suite with a full kitchen for a family event. We were supposed to also get a bottle of wine. We paid extra for the room. When I checked in I was told because I booked online I couldn’t get the room. That I need the call the hotel direct next time. My cousin booked direct and got a free upgrade to the suite we booked with the wine. Restaurant was awesome.

Price has increased drastically over the last few years and the hotel itself has gone downhill. No breakfast for the high price of rooms, internet did not work, hotel phones did not work. Not worth the price to stay here anymore

This place was not far from many of the attractions we went to see. It has a pool and lots of parking.

The room was clean and comfortable however there was an empty bottle of whiskey behind the chair in our room. Also, there were only wash clothes for 2 instead of 3.

When we go to Syracuse, we always stay here. It’s always clean and the receptionist girls are always so friendly..

The property is very convenient to the highway. The pool is always a big hit with the kids. We have stayed here when it was known as the Maplewood Suites, so we are very familiar with this property. We are disappointed that the new owners have done away with the free breakfast and the option to even purchase it was not possible during our recent stay! Please consider restarting this. It's really very inconvenient to drag kids to an outside dining location to eat in the morning...

TV was broken in the room. They did bring and install a new one. Hot and cold water was labeled wrong on sink and shower. Hot was cold and cold was hot. Expedia said it is free extended parking. It is not. It is an extra $10 a day. They do have a free shuttle to the airport but the hours listed on expedia are incorrect. The last 2 parts i blame Expedia not the hotel.

Rooms were nice and clean, rooms are large and sound proof. Pool area was quite neglected and very dirty. Live music was good. LOVE the complimentary starbucks machine in the lobby. VIP perk was a free bottle of wine however I had to ask for it later in my stay because they forgot it. The staff were all incredibly nice!! Front desk, housekeeping and shuttle driver.

The hair dryer started smoking and burned out. I loved the restaurant.
