The staff was lovely but for the cost I was expecting something a little better maintained in the interior of the room. I have stayed a motel 6 which felt cleaner and much cheaper.

This was a great hotel, really clean and comfortable. We found it very quiet except for a party on the Saturday night but we managed to drown out the noise by putting the fan on loud. It was a great location for us as we were walking distance from the Walter pyramid. There were food places all around us, a great cafe a few steps away and a 7 eleven a 10 min walk away. We walked to sprouts Market for an amazing range of food which was about a 20/25 min walk away. I felt the price was great, cheaper than other hotels too. We enjoyed our stay The only think that was annoying was our safe didn’t work in our room. Everything else was great.

Our stay was good . Very clean and attentive. Minor things our toilet got clogged but the staff came right and fixed it . The parking wasnt all that great . The spaces are very close and then we had to park super far to get to our room. Other than that it was a nice stay.

The room was clean and easy to find. There was a HUGE celebration happening at the pool with food, music, lotsa people enjoying and having fun. I have no problem with that but no one told me ahead of time. I was looking forward to relaxing by the pool at some point but even as the night went on it was still going full force. I ended up leaving the property because it felt like I was crashing someone's wedding party. I want my money back.

It’s just an OK hotel. Nothing special. Most of the other occupants were noisy late at night and if you’re on the lower floor be prepared to hear everything from upstairs.

The staff was really friendly and welcoming! But our room had bedbugs and that was it for us. It fell out of the pillows on the bed. We immediately went to the desk and they were nice but didn't seem concerned. I won't be coming back. The picture is when we threw one in the sink to really make sure we were seeing what we were seeing.

The location was perfect for us - we wanted to be near Cal State Long Beach for graduation. The bathroom doors were big and really heavy - great for blocking out sound and light, but difficult to close and open.

When we checked in, we were informed the parking was “free”. They had a sign at the check-in counter that said parking was $15/night. We inquired about it. They reassured us it was included. I just checked my credit card statement & I was charged $30!! (We stayed 2 nights). Also, only 1 wash cloth, no tissues & to top it off, we had a barking dog in the room next to us.

Staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming. Room was spacious. Pool area is relaxing and pretty escape.

I’ve been staying at this property for many years. It needs some remodeling. It’s beginning to look tired.

It is clean and kept up, the layout is different than most, it is roomy and I like the sliding doors. The TV has limited channels.

Room was typical of a hotel. They had boxes of water, for sale in the room. They charge $15 to park in thier parking lot in front of your room. Shower head was rusty and you could not adjust it. No breakfast.

I had to wake up a 2:30am as I have been fighting to fall sleep since 10:30pm which is when the occupants of the room above me got there and started talking so loud, and playing music loud too. Things escalated to arguing, loud stomping on the floor, and people coming in and out; they had some sort of unusual activity going on which prevented my wife and I from resting for an important morning event we had next morning. They moved us to another room having to leave our belonging in the original room, next morning the key did not work. I had to explain the situation yet again to a new clerk who did not even apolgoize for such an inconvenience. We had to rush our belongings out to the new room.

The parking is secure for anyone who decides to stay in the Hotel , the rooms are very cleanliness , Staff are very friendly, And the Air Conditioning works very well keeping your room fresh. My husband and I we love the most is the front yard because there’s so many pond plants and trees and especially clean pool and warm water . It’s worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Long Beach. Thank you for your services I really appreciate it and I hope you have a wonderful day.

The room was clean and spacious. There were barn,l doors separating the bathroom and the toilet area, which could be a little noisy. The air conditioning was interesting. We had to set it at 20° to get coolness in the room. There was plenty of parking. I had to ring for the staff a couple times. Deducted a star because it was rather noisy, with people slimming doors very early in the morning, and I could hear the cleaning staff next-door at 8 am. Decent for the price.

Request a clean and someone to check my air conditioner and no one came.

Hotel Current was the perfect place to start and end our cruise. All of the staff melbers there were extremely helpful and kind. We were able to get on and off the ship with little to no stress thanks to their shuttle service.

This was a Motel style Hotel. No Breakfast, Parking $15 a night, thin walls kinda noisy.

My wife and I were on a staycation to celebrate her birthday. The staff at the Hotel Current helped make our stay more than we expected. They all are so friendly and professional and were service-oriented to and Beyond the call! Hotel Current is not only affordable but the location is so perfect that it's got to be one of long beaches best kept secrets! The rooms are spacious, clean, and the bed is so so comfortable! I will stay there again and recommend all my friends!

Don’t expect breakfast. Expect bums to be all around. No wash cloths provided in the rooms.

The $15.00 fee per night parking was a surprise, not listed within the fee structure nor the $50 pre charge for incidentals. They use old AC units that are quite loud, making use of ear plugs a must .

Didn't expect to be in a motel-type hotel with cars parked outside your door, but thankfully, the guys hanging out upstairs outside their room settled in not too long into the morning. We didn't really see or interact with any of the hotel staff except the front desk gal who checked us in. She was not the friendliest but got us through the process rather quickly. Room was decent and clean no frills nor anything that would suggest a cozy a room but the bed was a king and comfy enough to relax and rest very well in. Can't beat the location just northeast of downtown in a nice neighborhood and acroos from a golf course. If driving around admiring beautiful homes is not your thing, you can easily be on the shores for beach walks and more within 5 minutes or so. Could stay there again.

Everything was amazing at this hotel. I was super impressed. The parking was good, the rooms were clean, the staff was awesome. The only thing that wasn’t absolutely perfect. Was the ice machine did not give enough ice. That was a bummer.

pretty grungy. there was only one towel in my room. it’s just didn’t feel very clean. you have to pay for parking at what is essentially a motel. it’s not like they valet. you pull up to your room with your car. def not a hotel. will not be back.

Came to stay before a cruise for my lady’s 40th birthday. We had to move rooms in the middle of the night due to bugs crawling around. Then they moved us to a suite and again bugs around the bed. The did refund and the staff was friendly

Was easy check in. Rooms were ok nothing special. Was not noisy. The Shuttle driver was great. I did not get his name. He dropped us off and we by passed all the traffic trying to get there. When we got back on November 30th I called Hotel and he came to get us he didnt have any pick ups so we asked if he could drop us off at the Airport and he did. Was Super nice to do that for us. He was very friendly and we gave him a nice tip fo going out of his way for us so Thank You very much. There was no where to really walk to for food but you could order from about 4 Restaurants and have it delivered but they were expensive to us.

I have stayed here more than 20 times prior to 2020 the property has been kept up nice and still has the beautiful pool, clean rooms and great staff. However I miss the breakfast, free parking and nice lotion in the room. The rooms are clean and well kept. The parking is tight but it always has been.

First things first the AC was not working. Bathroom was super dusty and dirty, and our lock from the door was broken felt unsafe here and there, but besides that it was OK.

The rooms were very nice and clean! Old school air conditioning but works like a charm! Very convenient with the options of dinning out to eat or essential things for a hotel setting! I give it a 5/5 with feeling comfortable, good service whenever I needed towels and the options that were around the hotel were very close! Definitely would recommend and will reserve for future events!

I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world, and I’ve never experienced anything as unsafe or misleading as Hotel Current. What’s advertised online as a modern “hotel” is actually a roadside motel with thin walls, open-air room access, and zero visible security. On my first night, several intoxicated guests were drinking, smoking, and yelling right outside my door (Room 232), directly across from the lobby — yet staff did nothing. The walls were so thin I could hear every word. The second night was worse: at 2:40 a.m., I was jolted awake by a door slamming repeatedly from the room next to mine. When I opened my door, a man was standing there in the dark, staring at me. I barely slept either night and checked out early, feeling genuinely unsafe. Management’s response afterward was dismissive and defensive. They offered only a partial refund and claimed no one else had complained — despite multiple reviews describing the exact same issues: loud parties, sketchy activity, and zero enforcement of quiet hours or safety. If you’re looking for a safe, restful stay, this is not the place. The glossy photos are deceptive — the property looks nothing like what’s advertised. I’ve filed complaints with Orbitz and the California Attorney General for false advertising and unsafe conditions.

We found pubic hairs in the beds of two different rooms. We left the property and kept our car there and looked a room at another hotel.

Best shower I have ever experienced in a hotel (ever). Has that rain shower head from the ceiling. The Best. There was noise from another room where a wedding party was returning to their several rooms and they made noise until we reported them.

The person who checked us in was almost annoyed definitely not friendly. The room was dirty, the front door closed with the ability to see all around the trim, do not feel safe, the bathroom door slides but doesn’t close all the way and was dirty with handprints everywhere. The walls were dirty and so was the counter areas.

The place it’s dirty and the amenities are not good the mini fridge didn’t work in our room and it was full of black mold I told the admin and they didn’t do anything about it, the bathroom was dirty and the towels smell like mold

The property and room were really nice. The room was larger than expected and updated. Had to pay 15$ a day for parking which I did not expect because there was no other place to park. Getting room cleaned was only on request.

We stayed here while moving my son into CSULB. It's a great location and price for the area. The room was clean and the pool area was very nice. Parking was easy and we felt safe there even with all his things in the car. Definitely a great option for parents or while visiting the school.

Pool was perfect and very not busy!! Room was clean and just the right size! We were able to check in an hour early and the easily switched us to a room overlooking the pool! My 8 y/o was in paradise! We did notice a funky smell which we think was from an adjoining room

This place is cute and modern. The bed was comfy and the water nice and hot. They have a fridge and microwave, but the coffee maker didn't work. The location is perfect with lots of folding options and a straight shot to the airport. Will stay here again.

The front door did not close properly. Being a single mother staying at this hotel with 2 little kids I was not comfortable at all. I basically slept with one eye open all night.

The guests next to us were drunk and very loud. We had to move rooms at 1 am. My family had trouble sleeping because of noise and heat. The AC in the second room was extremely loud, and had not been run during the day.

Wow were we impressed with this hotel. The rooms were clean and updated! The pool area 100% beautiful we were blown away. Very safe we parked our car for a 5 day cruise and no issues at all. We would love to stay here again.

Great location (5 minute drive to Beach) , price reasonable, pool big and deep but COLD, and no continental breakfast as advertised (just coffee and tea in lobby). We stayed in the double beds but you can’t be taller than 5’5 because your feet will hang over though clean and good size room. We would come back.

This is not a hotel - it's an expensive motel. The rooms are nice, but like all MOTELS your door faces directly into the parking lot. Consequently, every car door slam, horn honk or loud person on the outside, you hear on the inside of your room.

At the big problem over there just charge me $50 for the parking and I asked you why you charge me this much money and this is the Long Beach because a visiting places that’s why I charge you. I don’t know. I think it’s not good.

My family and booked this hotel for the curb appeal and driving Convenience to my friends daughters prom who invited my son as her date. We wanted to be close for when they needed to be picked up. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We were able to use the hotels common areas as backdrops to take their send off photos.

Hotel clerk AMAZING, property not so much. There was a bright light shining in my room all night from the window of the restroom. I got up early and left didn't even shower there. I was exhausted from not sleeping due to the extremely bright light. Maybe if i had a different room on the other side i could have rated it better. Like i said the hotel clerk was AMAZING.

Overall the stay was ok. It’s an older building and there opportunities for updating. laminated floors made it feel cleaner. Bedding was clean however felt scratchy and outdated. Pillows were of random small size. Odd to have Microwave in the bathroom ??? Location was convenient along PCH and we were able to easily get around. It was a reasonably priced accommodation and for the price I would consider returning for an overnight stay.
