Much older hotel. It had the smell of mold and the fridge was disgusting. We opened the cabinet and bam there were roaches. Had a roach climb up the wall where my bed was. We killed a good two. The beds were very comfy and we only needed the room for one night. I will not stay there again but there were a lot of food and stores around. As I said we were only there for the night so it served its purpose.

Very dirty and smelly. But kind staff.
- 1/5
Horrible experience
- 2/5
It was so dirty. No blankets on the bed even just one dirty sheet. Also the pool had been drained forever. The soda machine was out of order. Keys were demagnetized and they didn’t put enough towels in our room and when we asked for more they acted like we were going to steal their towels that were not full size.
- 1/5
Unfortunately this was pretty bad. There are smears of dirt and mystery substances everywhere. There was a chunk of something smashed in the curtains an unreasonable amount of stains and tears in the bedding. The box spring was torn up, the wheels were bent and taped. A very disgusting lobby Chair was in the room. Walls had stains and smears. The tables had chunks of something that looked ancient dried on them. The rest of the property matched.

The advertisement compared to what it actually was was completely opposite. Room was dirty and roach invested with holes in the bathroom and the door which was not fitted to the entrance. A couple of towels we got still looked dirty. Bed came with 3 flat pillows and the headboard, chair and running boards looked like it needed to be cleaned. Got the room for 3 nights and had to activate the room card every night and got questioned every single time as if we didnt have a reservation. Scary thing was it was easy to activate a card for a room, no ID needed which made us feel very uneasy. Stayed 2 nights and left at 10 pm the night before check out because we couldnt handle another night. Overall, terrible location and experience.

Great spot

It was so disgusting I did not stay there and had to fun other accommodations
- 2/5
The property seems not kept up, room had old broken looking furniture. People fixing their cars in the parking lot. Not very appealing. The pictures on Hotels. Com are not what it was like when we got there. I would not go back
- 5/5
Nick and his family are great innkeepers. Friendly hospitable and willing to assist

I booked a room with two queen beds for a good deal on this site. Shortly after 11am, management knocks on the door and threatens to kick us out if we dont give her $20. I paid $97 for the room and she said this room is $130, even though its not. And even if it was, $97 plus $20 is $117, not $130. We paid it because we werent prepared to leave right then and i already paid for the room. Definitely checking out tomorrow

I want a refund for this horrible stay. No blankets were provided, there were holes in the one sheet that was on the bed and there was another persons hair on the pillow when we entered in. The entire place looked like it had been raided before, door previously bashed in. All in all, felt unsafe and it was disgusting.

Everything about this property was just awful. The location to begin with wasn’t the best, but I digress. When checking in, the host spoke in low volume, I had to constantly keep asking them what they were saying. It was inconvenient that I had to reactivate my key card every 24hrs or then I’ll be locked out of my room. I was informed maintenance would stop by around 11am to clean and restock, yet they never came. Only one ice machine on the property and it was broken down but was told I can go get “ice somewhere else”. The non-smoking room is what I paid for and yet there was the smoke detector was ripped out and the room smelled like cigarettes. There was a cigarette butt found in our fridge and where the fridge was found to be turned off, leaving leaking water all throughout. Would never stay here again.

For one night it’s ok

- 1/5
I wanted to stay here for 3 days while attending a festival unfortunately i checked out on the first night. When we first arrived there was a homeless man laying in the hall ways & it reeked. we had to change rooms 2x & in the final room they gave us there were ROACHES IN THE drawers & under the bed. They refused to give us a full refund bc we had our stuff in the room for aprox 6 hours :| save your money
- 1/5
This place is and was horrible. I truly thought I booked a decent place, nope, not at all. This place is more for drug addicts and people who need a place to live(which were quite a few living there). It also said no dogs yet there were several BIG dogs there. The room also had gunshot holes and blood spats in the room, so someone definitely got murdered/killed in that room. There was a message written on the side of the so called nightstand basically saying RIP to someone. It was definitely not worth staying there at all.
- 2/5
Noisy and littered property.
- 2/5
Clean but shabby.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 3/5
The site was convenient but it is on a busy road and was quite noisy. The motel rooms were clean and comfortable but the windows were dirty
- 1/5
Furniture was terrible. Far from the pictures in Expedia. Blanket had holes in it. Towels had stains. Zero sound proof; all the traffic noise was inside. I booked it for three nights, but could barely survived the first night. Expedia should not advertise this type of places. Sadly, I cannot get my refund.
- 1/5
Everything is so dirty , the walls , stains on the pillow cases . Everything is outdated
- 5/5
It was a beautiful hotel. I loved the balcony, being able to see LB and the neighborhood cities near by. Made our trip more romantic. Clean rooms, staff was awesome, booking was easy. One of best experiences I've had at a hotel.
- 2/5
Didn’t like anything about this property, room was very dirty, holes in the walls, mildew on the bathroom floor broken lamps, need to take this off your list of places to stay, worst place ever, need to post for anyone wanting to stay here😡
- 1/5
Really bad room.
- 2/5
The room was gross - rundown, dirty, cigarette burns in the comforters - this property is in desperate need of updates.
- 5/5
Great little spot for the night! All their rooms have a balcony that face the sunset which made for a very pleasant view. As for the room itself, a 3/5. We’d definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Couldn’t get window to close correctly, window faces a main street with high traffic and kept me up all night, should have requested a room replacement, I was dead tired to get up and move everything over to who knows where. It’s 5:00 am and now I wish I would have complained last night to get a different room. This is a typical Hindu owned motel and in a questionable neighborhood, there were abandoned cars with broken windshields, not only lined up along the street but on the motel property parking lot. People seem to be living out of some of the vehicles, that was a telltale warning to go elsewhere, unfortunately there is a no cancel warning when booking. Now I see why. Next time I’ll spend 50.00 more in a better motel. I thought this was a decent location.
- 2/5
It was so dirty. Every towel had long black hairs folded into them, the stairwell and outside parking area had garbage everywhere, and the chairs in the room were torn and just felt nasty. Pictures on the website are obviously very old. Paint was peeling. Tried to use the hairdryer and it started smoking. And you can hear every single thing happening in the rooms around you. I didn’t expect a 5 star hotel, but I at least expected it to feel comfortable and clean.
- 1/5
pool not work,no coffee ot breakfeast like they said,on main st,way to noisy..bad place
- 4/5
You get what you pay for. That's all you can really say. Check in and check out was smooth although! The staff was very friendly and easy to work with.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Excellent stay in Room 236. Very nice people run and operate this magnificent Hotel. Much better experience I’ve ever received at any Marriott, Wyndham, or Hilton!!
- 1/5
There were used condoms and dirty underwear in the drawers as well as graffiti on the roof of my room and the elevator's safety inspection certificate expired 7 years ago. This place is unapologetically dirty and rundown, I'm surprised they're still allowed to run a business.
- 3/5
It was dirty and the manager screamed at me and accused me of having 6 people in my room at 2am and told us to leave when i literally had food delivered and my husband and I had no guests there.
- 5/5
My favorite place to stay❤💯
- 1/5
Nothing was good about this proper
- 3/5
It looks nothing like the pictures, very run down!
- 4/5
Cool place, but pool was closed.
- 5/5
It was good, we were on third floor ,we seen a lot fireworks so it was all worth it.
- 1/5
The people in the front office were very rude, they yelled at my 5yr old & didn't give us any towels when asked
- 3/5
My partner and i stayed here for one night while in the area for a birthday party. Upon arriving the first impression of the hotel was uncomfortable. The parking lot was filled with people hanging out in their cars, drinking and smoking. The exterior of the hotel made us very afraid of what we would find in our room. There was a cash deposit required, which was something I've never had to do before. Ice maker required quarters to use. Our room turned out to be ok but definitely not the greatest. The carpets are dirty, the lounge chair in the room and walls have visible stains. The bed however was comfortable and clean, which was the only reason we stayed. For what we paid this room was way less than what we expected.
- 5/5
I liked everything
- 5/5
Enjoyed
- 5/5
Fits comfort level
- 1/5
Nothing The elevator didn’t work. The staff was less than accommodating. We are seniors. It must have been known since we booked through AARP. Since the elevator was not working we were not offered a first floor room or a handicap room. Instead we were on the 3rd floor with out an elevator. The furthest room from the stairs. We wanted a receipt for our stay. We were told we would have to go to Expedia. If I were you I’d 86 them.
- 1/5
When I went to check, I told the guy at the front desk that I was getting the room for my niece & her girlfriend. He asked if they had a dog. I said yes. He said they weren’t allowed. I told him that it was ok. I live down the street, & they can leave the dog at my house. He never asked about seeing anyone else’s id other than mine. When my niece & her girlfriend went to the hotel, they were told that they were not able to go to the room, & that the hotel was going to call the police if they didn’t leave. Only because the hotel didn’t have their id on file. I was unable to make it to the hotel to help them out in person. Now the hotel refuses to refund me my money. They are basically stealing from me. They refused to provide me with a service, but are also refusing to refund me my money.
- 2/5
Not really what I expected
- 2/5
This hotel smelled actually reeks of the the smell of pot. The room that was supposed to be non-smoking smelled like smoke. They only amenity in the room was a refrigerator and a microwave no coffee maker.
- 5/5
The bed was comfortable. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. The building just needs updating.
- 2/5
It truly was the "Rodeway" Inn. The noise from the road made it very difficult to sleep. At 2 am the smoke detector started to beep because the battery was low. When we got up to go get a battery, the guy behind the plexiglass was annoyed (well how about our annoyance). There were people hanging out everywhere and someone parked in the parking lot with music blaring, the base music very loud even in our room on the 3rd floor. It is close to the Long Beach Airport. That was the only thing good. Can't believe there wasn't even a box of tissues or a towel holder by the sink.
- 1/5
There was a nasty odor in the room, the sheets were stained didnt look clean at all.
- 4/5
Clean, safe and friendly. I only wish the shower control was adjustable past luke warm. Overall geat experience!
- 2/5
The room was clean and fine but the location is on a busy street in a pretty sketchy neighborhood, there are cop cars surrounding it daily and there was a man trying to commit suicide at the hotel the first night we were there, which created a scene of ambulances etc. Staff wasn’t very friendly and they did not have a luggage storage space for our bags, as we arrived before check-in time. They acted like they’ve never heard of someone wanting to leave their luggage there in the morning.
- 4/5
Pleasant motel, however, on a busy street. Some street noise. Coffee available in the morning. Nothing special but not a bad place. Would stay there again.
- 2/5
The parking lot was full of trash. Smelled terrible. The room carpet was sticky and gross. The room smelled like cigarettes. The tables were dirty. You cannot swim in the pool because it's filthy and has a green color.
- 1/5
The hotel grounds were dirty with trash in the outside hallways and parking lots. There were roaches scurrying around the bathroom floor! We thought it was disgusting and we refused to stay there. We immediately left. I would not recommend this hotel to my enemies. Totally horrible place to stay.
- 1/5
I also had an awful time staying there. A couple weeks before the date, I received an email and voicemail saying they changed the reservation I had for 2 beds to 1 bed without asking! I immediately called and they said I would get 2 beds but when I checked in, they said they still had 1 bed under my name. They were able to get us 2 beds but the room they gave us had a broken sink handle, broken screen windows and the sliding door wasn't able to be closed completely so you could hear all the traffic from PCH. One of the WORST experiences I've ever had. And we were still paying >$100 each night.
- 3/5
Check in and check out was very easy. However the room seemed dirty especially the carpet. And the bed wasnt comfortable. Also the shower seemed to be outdated and was making really loud weird noises. Another thing that bothered me was how loud the AC was. Overall I was okay with my stay since it was really close to the venue I was attending but I will not be coming back.
- 4/5
receptionist sucks, I was told I would have to pay 943 for 3 rooms 3 nights and was charged 20 more at the hotel, I told him but he did nothing it was 2 am i didnt feel like arguing, it took him over 30 minutes to give us everything and he still had the nerve to say it was my fault for putting in 3 seperate names on the rooms when k was told to do so on the website
- 2/5
The rooms could use a remodel the balcony in my room was in horrible condition. Dont know if all the rooms look this way but they definitely need a onsite maintenance man a touch of fresh paint could do wonders.
- 1/5
Bed bugs, trash and a 4-year expired elevator certificate.
- 1/5
The hotel looked rundown there where people smoking drugs outside of their room. We had to cancel because if that's how the outside looked I can imagine how the inside looked and what kind of people does that hotel attract. The picture of the hotel in this site are deceiving.
- 1/5
The staff was very accommodating with me cancelling my stay due to my being not satisfied with my room.
- 1/5
Dirty, high noise level through walls & doors. Next to strip club.. Does not deserve a 1 rating. Sorry I stayed there, never again & wouldn’t recommend it at all!
- 4/5
Ok for overnight stay.. however, hotel is next to busy highway lot of noise.
- 5/5
All I have to say is don’t judge a book by its cover. The room was surprisingly very attractive didn’t expect that after seeing the exterior of the hotel. Don’t listen to prior reviews; I almost missed out on a decent hotel because of the other judgemental reviews. If you’re looking for a nice weekend hotel and nothing too fancy for a good price, this is the hotel you want to stay at. Oh by the way it’s in a secluded area, only a little wussy would think this is in a ghetto, I grew up in a ghetto and this hotel area was not in that type of environment it’s just very empty.
- 3/5
The motel is sufficient for our needs for a one night stay.
- 3/5
Environment needs to be more family friendly
- 4/5
The area is pretty decent and they had nice food options in both directions. It was just an overnight stay but the rooms are clean and pricing is nice.
- 3/5
building is very old and needs work. the room was overall clean and comfortable. i stayed up a bit worrying about the safety of my car and it's contents because of the area.
- 5/5
relaxing
- 4/5
what I rather be at a Marriott yeah but I don't want to pay $200 a night so this is pretty good
- 1/5
I would not go back...room with old, dirty and smelled like an ashtray.
- 5/5
Thanks for the discount!
- 2/5
Green mold in shower No iron, had to go to front desk for one Closest place to eat was Jack in the Box 1-1/2 blocks away. The staff was very pleasant, but the hotel is disgusting. I had traveled all the way from Tampa, FL for my son's college graduation from CSU Long Beach and reserved this room as it was the best value with the closest proximity to the college. I chose wrong, what a ghetto!
- 5/5
loved it
- 5/5
It's was nice quiet.polite staff comfortable beds, plenty of TV channels . Beautiful decor
- 3/5
Just needed a night to stay as we were boarding carnival cruise line the very next day. Only downside to this location was it wasn't as close to the terminalsame as I had thought when booking. However, the staff were friendly and very accommodating.
