Stay away from this property. They are liars. I had booked a stay through expedia and when we got there i guess they had just finished remodeling. Something they used triggered my asthma along with my toddlers and we had to leave ar midnight. They would not refund and lied to expedia and told them they offered a room change when they had not. There are much better properties in the area avoid MAYA at all costs.

Our flight from HI was late but thankfully the staff at the front desk worked late on a Sunday night. Really nicely updated room, however the shower gel was empty (they brought some). Didn’t like paying $ 45 to park overnight but it is what it is.

My experience at Hotel Maya was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive. The property is beautifully maintained, offering stunning waterfront views that create a relaxing and tropical atmosphere right in Long Beach. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing everything needed for a pleasant stay. One of my favorite parts was simply enjoying the scenery around the hotel and taking in the peaceful views of the harbor. The location is excellent, offering easy access to nearby attractions, dining, and the waterfront. Whether you’re visiting for a vacation, special event, or wedding, Hotel Maya provides a unique and memorable experience. For future travelers, I recommend requesting a room with a water view, taking time to explore the grounds, and enjoying the beautiful sunsets from the property. The combination of great service, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding views makes Hotel Maya a destination worth visiting. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Maya to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Long Beach getaway

No shuttle to the Royal Caribbean Cruise ship! The only reason why we booked because the reviews stated free shuttle to the boat. No shuttle to the restaurants across the bridge to eat dinner. Breakfast was none existent because they were out of everything and expensive for the little they had. The hotel is nice and has potential to be great. My biggest complaint is the shuttle service. We booked because the hotel location is at the port! Why not have a shuttle to all boats??!!

Got a message saying I needed to call by 1pm to provide a different card number for the reservation since my card expired after I made the reservation or my reservation would be cancelled, but trying to get the front desk to answer the phone to do so was a nightmare. I, my boyfriend, and his mom all tried multiple times to get a hold of someone before we got on our flight which would be in the air at 1pm and the phone kept ringing and ringing or would eventually provide a message that the transfer from the automated system to the front desk failed, or, if we finally got someone to answer via another selection, we would get hung up on during the transfer. They also tried to tell us we only had one toom booked as opposed to the two rooms the reservation on my end showed. This was a very stressful situation for our family that was barely resolved before we got on our flight and was only resolved because our flight was delayed a bit.

The room and balcony view was beautiful. The loud maintenance/construction work so early in the morning. Didnt get to rest because of it and it kind of ruined our morning - but not something that would keep me from returning as a customer. I know as a business you are working on improving to keep your customers happy. I'm confident you will use this feedback as constructive. My suggestion would be to inform your guests ahead of time of any construction that could be taking place and/or start construction work at 10:00 AM.

High ceilings. Clean. By the carnival Long Beach port. Beautiful views. They had a shuttle service that drove us to the store and played whatever music we wanted. The driver was amazing! The front desk was amazing! Worth the stay! The restaurant… the drinks were expensive and small. The menu did not have a lot of options. I had two of the same tacos but they were different for some reason.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, pool, and location. On premise restaurant delicious with a very attentive staff. Walking distance to the amphitheater. I will be back
- 4/5
Very nice location by the boardwalk of Long Beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms look clean, but are dated be aware of the $45 overnight parking fee. really really nice bar/lounge to relax and look at the queen Mary and ocean water I would come again.
- 4/5
Beautiful view. We found trash in our room. Bar closes at 11:00 on a Friday.

We stayed here one night before our Cruise and it was amazing. We loved our room and how we’re off the water .. the pool, fire , overall beautiful & staff was so nice . Seem less check in.. awesome location 10/10.
- 4/5
Very clean room, nice area to walk the dog.
- 5/5
Clean room and kind staff. Walls are thin and was woken up by some Nextdoor neighbors and their extracurricular activities in the wee hours. And the menu on the actual hotel website for the restaurant was very different than the actual menu at the restaurant which was a little frustrating. Overall this was my second time staying and it was a lovely stay and I would come stay again.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and common areas.

Good view, quiet and tropical vibes. Only negative was parking fees!

The room was pretty They said our room was ready, but if we wanted to check in early, we had to pay a lot extra on top of what we already paid. We went ahead and did that and there was construction right outside our door so despite paying the extra money to get some rest, we were not able to get any rest. We went into the bar/restaurant and nobody served us when I asked about it. They said they switched to a self-service . I had to ask three times where I could get a menu and then I just gave up an Uber to an actual restaurant with service. When I checked out, nobody asked how our day was or anything.

It was a beautiful hotel inside, however the pool was pretty dirty (with a pool guy sitting out there monitoring but not cleaning anything). The beach area had a lot of garbage floating in the bay that was yucky. And it’s on the water but not like you would think..it has a drop off of rocks then water. It’s not like a sandy beach you can walk out to. Outdoor seating and bon fires were nice.
- 2.5/5
The property was beautiful. There was no restaurant on site, it’s being renovated. The staff provided inconsistent information throughout our visit and even before. Location.

The location was perfect. We were in Long Beach for a cruise and we stayed an extra night before going home. With all the open air theme they have it's very nice and pretty, but voices carry kids playing/screaming outside in the parking lot after dark and door slams echo. We were there on a night they were doing Prom and and hosting an event - which we were no aware of, so I'm sure that played some part.

My overall review for Hotel Maya is that its a lovely place with view of the harbor and Queen Mary. The amenities offered was decent. The staff members were helpful and kind. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.
- 5/5
The size of the room was amazing! Very clean!!
- 5/5
Even though the property was finishing up remodel our experience was top notch. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. The pool was nice and security was able to discreetly take care of one small issue (a couple that had had just a bit too much drink) and safely get them back to their room without any trouble. The location is close if you are leaving on a carnival cruise, otherwise the only thing near is the queen mary. The views of the water were breathtaking, we can’t wait to come see the renovation once completed. Thank you for an excellent stay.
- 4/5
Loved the location, great hotel with a friendly staff and clean property. Loves the beauty of the hotel and the fire pits were a perfect touch. I wish the pool area was bigger.
- 5/5
Clean and nicely decorated rooms and grounds. Multiple fire pits, nice little gym and a nice heated pool. They have a nice walking path on the harbor that allows for an easy walk to Queen Mary if you chose. The restaurant was under construction with limited hours so that was unfortunate. They only shuttle to Carnival for cruises so plan to use rideshare options. They do offer extended parking for a reasonable rate so that’s an option.

The view was nice and so was the room but the charges for stuff we didn’t get and after calling and confirming several times before hand we STILL got charged TWICE! The main issue I had is that they are quick to charge you for something you NEVER RECEIVED like an early check in and late checkout, but can’t seem to give back the deposit for the room. I booked may 1-2 and I STILL have yet to receive my deposit back after calling and talking to several people over 6 times! It is now May 29th and still nothing. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

Honestly I was expecting more from this hotel unfortunately this place needs alot of work. Elevators did not work, filthy from the outside, paid for water front but got a view from a large palm tree i paid 450 for 1 night only! Restaurant under construction and to top it off they charge 40 dollars for parking! My first time staying here and last!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Awesome view.
- 5/5
Parking is $45 but you have in and out access throughout the duration of your stay
- 5/5
The weight room was very nice and had just enough to get an amazing workout in. I wish the Restaurant and bar were open dueing my stay. It was actually one of the main selling points on me booking my stay, sadly, it was closed for renovations. Overall, I would stay again!
- 4/5
Great place and view! Look forward to visiting again.
- 5/5
Absolutely gorgeous property. The staff was super nice kind and ready to help. Multiple areas to sit and relax and enjoy the views. Took us no time at all to walk to Shoreline Village. With all that being said I am a smoker only thing that would make it absolutely perfect was if there was a designated area to go to smoke. I understand it is not widely accepted anymore however after all it’s my body my choice lol. It would be nice maybe have a designated area out by the water or near the very last building.

Beautiful clean room in a great location

. Mini beach, campfires, pool, hot tub . Big property . Big rooms . Heated pool with cabanas and a nice hot tub . Rentals ... bike rentals, jet ski and other, jet ski is right by hotel . Transportation (seasonal) with passport route c to downtown, carnival cruise temrinal and aquabus, aqualink available Improve: . Remodeling the restaurant so lower options on what that restaurant offers . Floors in room are dirty and turn feet black .. seems dont mop . Note they do not have transportation to Royal cruise terminal

Had a lovely and peaceful stay at the hotel. Felt very safe the whole time as a solo traveler disappointed with the limited restaurant situation during the stay with construction but happy for the nice pool and lounges. The fitness center was very nice and clean. The bed was super comfortable and loved the in-room espresso machine! I would love to come back after the upgrades. Long beach was super close and nice to visit.
- 3/5
Need to let people know that the hotel is under major renovations. No restaurant, many things changing.
- 5/5
My stay was wonderful, staff was very nice. I truly love the view from my room.
- 1/5
No breakfast was had the staff were very rude and to busy talking to one another to offer a table to my party. Staff were always on the phone not working. If you need something you have to go ask the front desk. One of our four rooms never was ready.
- 1/5
Moreover, I’m not going to accuse anyone of being discriminatory but I did find it odd that the front desk person was willing to go to the back to find a map of the property for the people in front of us, but could not provide one for us when we arrived. We had to search online for ourselves just to find the hotel room. There are things at hotels one can overlook, but when you’re paying a premium to stay somewhere, there really is no excuse.
- 5/5
It was a great hotel!! Close to the cruise port.
- 4/5
The room was clean and bed comfortable, the pillows however were terrible and the air conditioning sounded like a jet engine we ended up turning it off. The restaurant and bar are a gem, nice food and drinks with a nice view. Close to cruise port with a complimentary shuttle.
- 1/5
The only restaurant on property was under construction. There was tables outside where you ordered your expensive food (2 orders of tacos, 2 can sodas and 1 margarita, $92.00, this amount includes a automatic 20% tip that is included on all orders. You either ate outside or take back to your room.
- 1/5
Horrible experience. Loud Dirty and very run down don’t waste your money not worth it this place should be 50 bucks per night. It’s definitely motel vibes
- 5/5
I had a great stay at Hotel Maya! I got a room upgrade and got to stay in one of the newly remodeled room!
- 5/5
Nice hotel. No beach access, but SMALL man-made beach😐
- 5/5
Beautiful location
- 5/5
Had a really nice stay overall. The room was clean, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the staff was friendly. It ended up being a perfect chill birthday/Mother’s Day getaway. The only downside was that the restaurant is currently under construction, so the menu was very limited and food/drinks were served in to-go boxes instead of regular dining service. Other than that, everything was great and we enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Room was spectacular with view of the Queen Mary and water. Huge suite with two espresso machines and two bathrooms, sliding glass doors with balcony overlooking the water . Hotel is under construction but room was fabulous. About 10-15 minute Uber to cruise pier (Princess cruise.) Free shuttle only goes to the Carnival pier which we did not know until we arrived at the hotel, so we had to Uber which was fine. I would definitely stay here again for the beauty of the room!
- 4/5
We loved the room. The view was nice. Besides of being under remodeling and some restriction that came along with it, the hotel is neat, detailed oriented customer service and nice walk to the village.

My son (7) loved the entire experience! It’s a special week for us as we vacation and have fun.

Great place with good views
- 5/5
If you want to use their nespresso machine, bring sugar packets because they only provided the coffee pods and cream. Such a great experience staying here. We rented scooters right at the front of our building and cruised the shoreline to dinner. So fun!
- 5/5
Very nice property. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Rooms and the hotel grounds are very beautiful. The hotel is right by the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping! Like a 30 mins walk. Loved the hotel will definitely be back.

We checked in and went to sleep. Didn't have breakfast. The hand soap and hand lotion shouldn't be located over the toilet paper. It drips onto the toilet paper.
- 5/5
Probably was under remodeling so very noisy and construction dust i wish you would have informed us.

Great lunch , wish the restaurant was complete when we stayed

Stay was amazing. Loved the heated floors in the bathroom.

They also have very limited maintenance staff, and none in the evening, so make sure everything in your room operates properly as soon as you check in.

Not a four star resort. Rooms pick up every sound. Doors slamming, people taking. Would not recommend.
- 1/5
Horrible experience the elevator didn’t work had to carry all my stuff the the fourth floor and my wife stuff the restaurant wasn’t open the main reason we booked there also the tv didn’t work when we got into the room we called front desk to complain about the tv and elevator no answer till the 3rd time never had a worst experience
- 2/5
We were there for a conference - property was in poor shape and the dining and drinking establishments were terrible.
- 1/5
I was highly disappointed with the whole experience. When we showed up the hotel was under construction. Which was not mentioned when we booked the room. The restaurant was under construction (which is why I booked here in the first place.) Yes they had an alternate place to eat but it was not where i was expecting to be. After we checked in we were on the 3rd floor and the elevator was not working. So we took the staris only to get to our room and the door be locked from the inside. So here I go back down the stairs to get to the lobby. Maintenance did go by and open the door after 10 minutes. We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights if stairs. The cleaning personnel was super helpful . The pool was nice and clean plenty of towels and room to sit. I would not book here again.

Just want to give a shout out to Kevin who was working the front desk. This guy is awesome. He should be afforded any commodations provided to the property staff. Kevin is five star!

Although areas are in the middle of renovations I felt I would rebook in the event I need to return for its location — close access to cruise port. Beautiful views and nice room.

Wonderful place we touched in the remodeled room beautiful super clean the staff of the best 👌 congratulations continue as

ROOM SPACIOUS AND GREAT VIEW OF QUEEN MARY, COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANER, IT WAS A NICE STAY, GOOD VALUE
- 4/5
I was disappointed that they no longer offer the free cookies. :-( The parking is expensive
- 5/5
Staff is super friendly. Rooms right on the water. Nice spot.
- 3/5
We were unaware when we booked the room that the restaurant and bar were under renovation and were unavailable for the most part. They were supposed to still have room service available, but we couldn’t get a hold of them over the weekend, likely due to weddings and catered events that they were taking care of instead of their customers in their rooms. We had trouble with the shower leaking out, flooding the bathroom into the main living area because the shower door wasn’t properly sealed. It has the potential to be a great property, but we didn’t enjoy all these issues. I did discuss it with the manager afterward, who was apologetic. We had made the reservation because it advertised an on-site restaurant and bar, so we were hoping not to have to leave the property as we waited to leave on our cruise. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Hector at the pool bar, however, was a diamond in the rough. He was great, and he’s been there a long time. Will probably try this place again another time when everything is up and running.
- 2/5
Too much noise in our room all day from construction… hammering, sawing, banging. Until they left for the day.
- 5/5
The hotel is very quiet and exceptionally clean. There was some electrical problems, but when I called down, they sent engineering up right away and handled it right away I would recommend this place. The restaurant very expensive and poor selection
- 5/5
Beautiful location right by the docks perfect for our last night in Cali after a cruise!! The man who drives the shuttle from the docks to the hotel was extremely rude but the front desk staff was great!
- 5/5
We were going on a cruise very close to port the hotel had a ride to cruise terminal which was great the staff was helpful and friendly
- 4/5
The staff is really friendly. We booked a king room and upon checking in we were notified that we had gotten a room upgrade. They gave us the king room with the water view and balcony. Room is nice and the view is perfect. But if you pay close attention, it’s a bit dirty. It might just be extra dusty due to some renovations but we found what seemed to be dry blood on the bathroom door. We called front desk and they took care of it immediately. Well definitely be back though, just for the view alone.
- 5/5
Had an amazing time went to the restaurant and bar on property. Food was so good. Looking forward to returning.
- 5/5
We always like staying here when visiting my son in Long Beach. Never disappointed
- 4/5
Rooms are immaculate, ammenities and location is perfect. Pretty heavily understaffed, and very slow service. But over all value for money is good. Alot of noise in and around the building, but still fairly cosy at times
- 3/5
Paying $45 for the parking is ridiculous! It should be free for hotel guest.
- 5/5
The staff were lovely and the room service breakfast was wonderful. Had a great experience!
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
Definitely recommend
- 4/5
The room was decent. The elevator is small and slow. The on site dining and drinks were a bit pricey.
- 4/5
Restaurant was under construction and we did know. Overall good experience but price could be better
- 2/5
The hotel was under a major renovation and it was not made aware when making the reservation. The restaurant is operating minimally and its the only restaurant for miles. The staff did their best to take care of guests considering everything that was going on. Had I known that this MAJOR renovation was happening, I would not have booked the property or paid what I paid!!!
- 3/5
With Expedia, being a gold member, I am surprised to be offered a room upgrade or VIP acess or something and we received none of that. The cleanliness aspect; it was clean but I cameback two nights in a row and found the same pieces of trash under the lamp stand and a few other details clearly showing that it wasn't cleaned up thougfhrly, the iron table and Iron stayed left out from day 1 after using it once! And I felt like my makeup bag was played with. As beautiful as this hotel is, I will not be returning to it again, nor recommending it.
- 2/5
Don’t expect much. It’s a secluded location so there is a decent level of privacy, which may be the only noticeable value here. The pool was open, but the food/beverage area was closed at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. No waitstaff either. The restaurant they claim to have is pretty much just an event space. No bar. Limited food menu. Tough when you’re not walkable to any other restaurants.
- 3/5
The staff was fabulous. And the property while old, was clean and renovated. It’s a nice hotel. But you guys advertised a shuttle to the cruise terminal. It only goes to the Carnival cruise terminal. But your website doesn’t specify that. The cruise shuttle was THE reason we chose the hotel. That issue ended up being pretty expensive for us. Huge disappointment.
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel. Was under construction this time, but the staff was so kind and we loved being there enjoying the views. It’s like being in the big city, but also a private location.

The rooms are clean and cute and its very close to a lot of activities. The pool area is great with jet ski rentals right next door. Will definitely return

Booked this great hotel through hotels.com months before. When we arrived at the hotel they didn’t have any records of us or our reservation. I showed them the reservation number and all the details from hotels.com. I was asked to forward the email from hotels.com to them, which I did. After about 10 minutes, the manager came over, understood what happened and assigned us a better room than what we selected thru hotels.com. 25 minutes later, we arrived in our suite with a water front view and balcony. A bit stressful, but the staff were very friendly, accommodating and understanding.
- 5/5
Beautiful views and convenient
- 4/5
Room was nice.
- 3/5
And the restaurant has a great costumer service but the carpet stinks 😩 Also the 🔥 fireplace outdoor the restaurant smells like propane so it might be dangerous they should be more careful.... Overall all of they're outdoors are stunning!!
- 5/5
The room was fantastic, the pool area was great, the fire pits provided nice ambience, and the location to the cruise port couldn’t be better! We just walked there in the morning!
- 5/5
During our two-night stay, we enjoyed a spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed room with a balcony. The hotel’s restaurant served cook-to-order breakfast and dinner, which we appreciated. We also made good use of the pool and lounge chairs, and especially loved gathering around the fire pits with s'mores. Overall, we had a delightful experience.
- 2/5
Room smelled like cigarettes but this non smoking. Bathroom floor wasn't clean. Hair was in the bathroom. And this was a renovated room. Cables can be seen dangling from under curtain near the ac unit. Kitchen did not look sanitary and the breakfast from 6-11am was like so basic. No drinks just coffee and juice. Not impressed. There was no spa and or yoga. Not sure where that is based on advertising. No Bar. The outdoor fire pit stops at 10pm???? Why sooo early.
- 5/5
When I arrived I found I was upgraded to a different room. Was pleased with the upgrade, the staff was apologetic and followed up to make sure everything was good
- 5/5
Place is great. Good restaurant and outdoor activities for young families. Also, it was very quiet in the area which is nice. Calm, relaxing and a good time.
- 5/5
The hotel is undergoing a remodel and we weren't aware of that while we booked, but staff made all attempts to accommodate our every need. I left a pair of shoes in the room at check out and to my surprise, they were still there when I returned from my cruise 6 days later!
- 5/5
Great food and service
- 5/5
The rooms are super clean! The staff is amazing!! Pool is heated and Fuego Restaurant was delicious. My family had a great time.
- 5/5
I didn’t eat breakfast
- 5/5
EVERY person was very friendly
- 3/5
The bed was extremely comfortable and it made up for any other shortcomings from our stay.
- 2/5
The hotel is currently under renovation, closing the restaurant and impacting other amenities on the property. Given the renovation, we were also placed in building 4 which is near the road and quite nosey. The renovation wasn’t disclosed during my booking, and most definitely would have impacted our decision to stay at this property.
- 5/5
Beautiful location and view, nice pool—quiet, comfortable, we had a great stay. A few items of note: They offer a shuttle to the Long Beach cruise terminal right by the hotel, but not to any other local ports or cruise terminals. If you want to ride bikes at the beach across the bridge, you can’t checkout the bikes onsite—but there are public transit bikes that are cheaper by the hour if you walk across the bridge. Onsite food and bar are pricy, and room service wasn’t answering the phone—so we had Uber Eats deliver to our door.
- 5/5
Stunning, beautiful food was delicious. The views were amazing.!!

CLEAN rooms love the design and the patios! Would definitely stay here again. Only downside is not too many food options but only a 3 min uber ride to DT Long Beach. Lots of things to do when/if weather permits
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
The shuttle from airport was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location and nice views!
- 5/5
Great location with super friendly staff. The pool and hot tub were really nice, and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We did the s’mores package, which was such a fun touch..my daughter and I loved it and felt safe the entire time. The port was close for our cruise, and we were even able to walk to the Queen Mary. There are Lime scooters nearby and a nice walking path, which made it even better. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Parking was available for $45
- 5/5
Everything went well

It’s always nice to stay here, staff has hospitality

- 5/5
Great facility
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and safe, and the view was stunning!
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
Our experience was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time there. Definitely will be coming back again.
- 5/5
The location was right on the water, and within walking distance to the cruise ship.
- 5/5
Room was unique with the decor. Clean. Great property with everything you will need.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful! Services, location, rooms and atmosphere! Great place to stay!!
- 5/5
The placement of the hotel was great. Food was tasty.
- 5/5
Room was great. Grounds were lovely. Restaurant was delicious. Would definitely stay here again
- 5/5
Free upgrade, beautiful room and property. Would definitely stay again!
- 4/5
Beautiful place but had an issue with the parking rate - assumed it was complimentary.
- 3/5
The bathrooms needed to be cleaned, the shuttle service was disappointing, and the front door staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable.
- 5/5
The staff was great upon arrival and upgraded our room so that we could be be near other people in our party. Waterfront room was beautiful. Thank you. The surrounding area was in full party mode on a Saturday night so noise canceling headphones helped with sleep.
- 5/5
I love my room overlooking the bay and staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, everyone was very pleasant.
- 5/5
Amenities, clean and comfy room!
- 5/5
Awesome spot
- 1/5
The receptionist at check in was so rude
- 4/5
Staff was great, lots to do outside, great location. They definitely need to update some rooms as our blinds were broke, the toilet flush stuck as our outdoor furniture was rusted, even with those few things the hotel was a great spot to stay
- 3/5
Staff was great, room was ok, price was high for what you got.
- 5/5
I appreciate manager James accommodating me after he tried to assist with early check in as well as surprised with the upgrade provided at no charge. Was very happy. Thank you
- 5/5
The hotel almost feels like a resort in the style and way it's managed, which makes it such a delight in a city space. Staff was always so pleasant and helpful. Very spacious rooms with a lot of nice touches. I wasn't able to use the hot tub but heard great things. Would recommend and would stay again!
- 5/5
Nice welcoming cozy and fancy restaurant plus great service.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
I loved stayed four day the staff was amazing and Jen the head of security is awesome might stay another night I had a time rain and all
- 5/5
Loved how clean the room was the view was amazing and staff was very helpful
- 3/5
Nice area to visit water had trash in it the place was outdated and my bathroom flooded with water from upstairs and the food was spicy and expensive bed was comfortable and people were nice
- 5/5
Literally the best place I’ve ever stayed at. Between the views, location (especially for cruising), the shuttle assistance (that will take you to local restaurants and shopping spots- and included), and cleanliness…it’s the BEST! We will definitely return!!
- 5/5
Room and all the staff was perfect.
- 5/5
The room upgrade was nice.
- 2/5
Wonderful location, but our ocean view room had mold by the air conditioner , it was noisy and over priced. Will never say there again.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Hotel was outstanding! Clean, friendly staff, and close to the cruise ship
- 2/5
The resort itself was nice and clean until we got into our room, looks like they haven’t cleaned the floors in decades, absolutely disgusting. I mean for a $100 deposit per night, you’d think the rooms would be pristine.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and had a great balcony view!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel grounds, great location
- 5/5
Great find in Long Beach. An “old school” hotel, refurbished over the years. Great outdoor spaces, good food, attentive staff, nice views. Not shiny new/modern, but we liked the vibe!
- 2/5
I requested an oceanfront room and that didn't happened i call front desk to ask about it. And they said that it wasn't possible
- 5/5
Clean room and awesome staff. The views of the harbor were really nice...
- 2/5
Room was dirty, outdated.
- 5/5
Great time and stay! Loved the experience
- 4/5
Good staff
- 3/5
Beautiful rooms. But definitely neglected cleaning before new customers checked in. There was dried urine and blood on the floors of the bathroom. And stains on sheets. This was the first night. Notified front desk sheets were changed. Bathroom never moped. The five days we were there. Got so bad just used a wet towel to clean up the mess. Property is beautiful has a lot of potential but need to get better quality control on cleanliness
- 5/5
Staff was friendly! Would stay again
- 4/5
Good staff. Close to carnival terminal!
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Very clean and closer to cruise terminals. Staff very responsive
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Mostly spotless room, nice staff, great amenities. Overall incredible property.
- 4/5
Nice staff n loved the Firepits!
- 5/5
The guy at front desk was very nice and professional…the room was nice even though I got a roof view mixed with my ocean view lol
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The dinner in Fuego was excellent
- 3/5
more Access to drinking water
- 5/5
great views and experience. peaceful and relaxing
- 4/5
Easy check in, close to the carnival cruise terminal. They had a free shuttle to take you to the cruise terminal in the morning. The room was nice with a good ocean view. When we arrived the gate to get into the parking lot was not working we had to wait for an attendant to come let us in. We were also not informed about the shuttle upon check in I only knew to ask about it based on other reviews. The shuttle is also supposed to have an option to take you the downtown area where shops and restaurants are but I was told it the driver had to the day off so we were unable to use the shuttle the evening we arrived. Overall my experience was good and I would stay again
- 4/5
The room was clean. We would get a smell of cigarettes and weed all the time . The view was great
- 5/5
Room looked great. The room view was awesome, definitely coming back. The layout outside was amazing,.wanted to delay my flight and stay longer!!!! The staff were SUPER helpful, have to find out the front desk guy who made my day easier to.deal with, after my cruise. Going to call the hotel to send the dude a gift card, something.
- 5/5
The Mayan Hotel is an absolutely beautiful hotel! The room was so beautifully decorated and it’s breathtaking views of the water and of the amazing outdoor spaces, truly transported us to a Mayan resort in Mexico. The Mayan Hotel truly made our local weekend stay feel like a magical getaway, and allowed us to have a honeymoon 5-star experience. Thank you Mayan Hotel ❤️
- 5/5
It was a great experience
- 1/5
$45 fee for parking, but a non hotel guest will get there’s comped if they eat in the hotel restaurant but the the hotel guest Restaurant food was maybe a 5/6 out of 10 and $$$$ waitress was about the same. Gratuity is automatically added to your bill so they don’t have to try and do a great job They have one tower completely empty with fire alarm going off in it and sitting by the fire outside this is all you hear and know one working there seemed to be bothered by it Positive is the view is great Room was decent but not sound proof
- 2/5
The bed was very uncomfortable, the shower curtains smelled very bad, and the food at the Fuego restaurant was not good. I really was hoping for a better experience. I only give it 2 stars for the view and decor in the lobby.
- 4/5
Its ruff around the edges but worth the adventure. Nice views and photo opportunities. 🌞 not to mention the water 🏖 once they put a little more details into the room housekeeping I'll be even better. 👑
- 5/5
Beautiful Hotel
- 4/5
We were happy with the room
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. Hotel was just like the pictures. I did pay for water view and technically we saw the water but like a little triangle and saw more of the bar/restaurant and water over that. So that would’ve been great to be more detailed. We did book last minute.
- 3/5
Room was okay we had a 5 month year old and my husband asked for a cart for our belongings we were t
- 5/5
Great location, excellent amenities, nice staff
- 4/5
Prices for hooka and restaurant too high and food generic , room and property nice
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable room. Nice location.
- 5/5
View from the room was nice and the staff was great.
- 1/5
Awful stay! I usually splurge and stay at this hotel but the room was run down. No hot water and the neighbors were partying all night! So ghetto now.
- 4/5
Clean too quite, beautiful
- 5/5
Very clean, great views a lot of activities to do on premesis
- 5/5
Thank you
- 4/5
The room lighting could be better.
- 5/5
Everyone was courteous from check in to check out. Loved the property lay out. Had an excellent dinner at Fuego. Our wait person, Laura, went above and beyond with her fun and gracious attitude.
- 4/5
This place is all by itself near the port of San Pedro. We stayed the night before our cruise and there was nothing around it. The restaurant is expensive and they act like its a Michelin Star place. It was OK, but would NOT repeat it. You have to go outside to get to the lobby and restaurants.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 5/5
I am now a hotel Maya FAN
- 5/5
Superb service from the staff.
- 5/5
Great Long Beach location
- 5/5
Excellent service. Our bed was not sturdy and toilet wouldn’t flush
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the views. Beds very comfortable.
- 1/5
We walked into the room and promptly walked right back out. It smelled like a 20 year old ash tray, there was trash, cardboard and a full on mattress littering the parking lot. No thank you.
- 4/5
Overall the stay was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Venue was beautiful. However, one of my family members who stayed in the second room complained the floors were dirty in the restroom and main room. She said the bottoms of her feet were really dirty after walking on the bare floors. Also I don’t think each room should have been charged the $100 deposit. Should have been &100 for the total reservation.
- 5/5
Everyone was nice and accommodating!
- 4/5
Overall the room was comfortable and the amenities very good. Loved the hair and soap products. Had to stay an extra day and asked for a light refresh of our room. Unfortunately it didn’t happen and had to ask for clean towels and coffee cups. Fuego restaurant was great-had the all-day menu and the food was tasty - mushroom tacos were outstanding and a very generous serving of the calamari! Server was very attentive. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, Venue was beautiful - may come back when the weather is warmer!
- 5/5
Balcony was great views
- 3/5
Stairs have water almost fell In the room look old Staff nice
- 5/5
The views from our room were stunning!
- 3/5
Great costumer service at the front desk and the on site restaurant. The room itself could use a little attention. Though it was clean, it shows its age. The furniture and decor in the room to dated and worn cabinets and toilet in the bathroom. Overall it did what it was supposed to do, provide an okay night's sleep before a cruise.
- 5/5
Great hotel with clean rooms. Great view of the harbor with our balcony water view.
- 3/5
GOOD: early check-in, very large room, vaulted ceilings, amazing views, away from most of the other hotels. Huge bathroom, great tub. Super comfortable mattress super comfortable pillows. High-end bedsheets. They give you enough towels that you can make a carpet from the bathroom to your bed if necessary.
- 5/5
The hotel rooms were clean, current and beautiful We would stay here again any time!
- 3/5
Only issue was I got a room with ocean view but the palm tree was blocking my views from the balcony the whole queen mary view was obstructed, other then that was a very comfortable place
- 5/5
beautiful view and location.
- 5/5
All around a perfect stay. From staff to the room to the location.
- 4/5
We stayed here the night before going on a Carnival Cruise. The hotel is located very close to the cruise port so it worked out for that purpose. Otherwise, there'd be no reason to pick this out-of-the-way location. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable but the property had a dated feel. Our large room had a vaulted ceiling. The bathroom was small and dated.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Gorgeous vires on balcony and space
- 1/5
The room was disgustingly dirty.
- 3/5
There were cockroaches and worms on the floor in the bathroom and near the bed. There was also a lead blower that was working right outside my window on the ground floor at 700am and various noises like slamming doors and loud horns throughout the night. I arrived for check in after midnight and was told my checkpir was 11am however I got less than 5 hours of rest and them find out after checking out that I had the room until the following day. Staff that checked me in was kind but the communication was disappointing and the disruptions were invasive.
- 5/5
The rooms are super nice and clean. They are kept maintain and staff is very friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Nice rooms.. friendly staff.
- 4/5
Loved it
- 4/5
Room had dust. Bathroom had some hair
- 5/5
Our room was spacious, and the balcony was lovely!
- 2/5
The room was disappointing, but the staff was generally nice and helpful. However, the floors were very dirty (wiped it with a towel when we got there), the sheets looked and smelled like they were fresh out of the packaging and unwashed, the extra sheets for the pullout bed had stains on them and the pullout mattress has rust marks underneath. Also, the bathroom door is a sliding barn-style door that leaves a gap - don’t expect much sound privacy.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, place was clean
- 4/5
Staff were amazing, room was spacious and clean. Great amenities and cozy.
- 5/5
The breakfast menu offers diverse options that were delicious and the restaurant has a great vibe and beautiful views.
- 3/5
Great staff - very dated room!
- 5/5
Room was great however I asked for towels and didn't receive. Service was slow maybe that day. But convenient location and you have to pay for parking
- 5/5
The room was spotless and the staff was friendly, courteous and professional.
- 4/5
However, I was disappointed by the daily parking rate of $45. This felt misleading, as the room pricing is advertised as affordable, yet parking information is not clearly disclosed and is difficult to find, even in the fine print. More transparency around parking fees would greatly improve the overall experience.
- 3/5
Room was nice! But the tv didn’t work right and room service came in at 8:45 am on a Saturday. We also had to pay 45 for parking, why? I already paid 150 for the room. Ridiculous.
- 2/5
Customer service overall was subpar. We were celebrating my birthday and my husband called ahead for champagne upon arrival. He had to call several times because they were not helpful. We were promised an upgraded room that we dint receive and there was just a warm bottle of champagne waiting for us. The walls are very thin. We could hear literally everything happening in the other rooms. Additionally, the pics online make it look nicer than it is. It’s a good spot to stay one night to get to a cruise but not for an actual stay. One positive is that all the food service staff was very kind and did a fantastic job taking care of us. The food was very good as well.
- 3/5
Unfortunately we got there before the renovation and we ended up with a squeaky bedframe and NOT for the reasons everyone might think, I hate to get flag for complaining and I was so exhausted from my long hours drive, traffic and everything else I did not wanted to make a fuzz about it
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
We loved the view and and room was very clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
Too much construction
- 1/5
The hotel was a ghost town. Black mold on the corners of the room, bathroom and behind furniture along with spider webs hanging from light fixtures. Surfaces were dirty, room had a musty smell. Dishes from neighbors were left outside on top of a trash can and stayed there all day. Staff wasn’t very attentive to pretty much anything happening around the hotel, overall the environment was not as depicted on pictures of online. It was quite misleading and was a let down.
- 5/5
Felt like a resort. Loved it
- 5/5
Great spacious rooms , wonderful food
- 5/5
Charming hotel!!! We booked the room for the day before our cruise… free shuttle to the ship which is less than a mile away. Will definitely book again!!
- 1/5
Room didn’t look like it did on website. It’s very outdated
- 4/5
Everything was extremely clean and staff super friendly.
- 5/5
You have an amazing staff.
- 4/5
Amenities
- 5/5
Stay was excellent secluded away from much but we loved that and our view of the Queen Mary was the best part
- 2/5
Nice room views and location. Parking was overpriced at 45 a day. I was discriminated against by off hours staff. Front desk clerk gave me a hard time during check in. She had my ID which has my birthdate on it. Never told me happy birthday even though the clerk had my ID for an extended period of time. Makes me feel as though she was ID’ing me for fraud and not for identification. For the price and the treatment I received. I’m not coming back.
- 5/5
Nice room ..great food
- 3/5
Room in pretty rough shape. Floor is bubbling. Terrible water pressure. The bed was fine. The restaurant is ridiculous and sadly you don’t have much choice. I mean they did give me a bottle of water so there is that But generally this place needs a lot of help; you would do better staying downtown
- 5/5
Nice views and convenient
- 5/5
Such a beautiful property. Fuego’s is so lovely very and yummy!
- 5/5
AMAZING!
- 5/5
It was great!
- 3/5
Nice hotel,
- 4/5
Room was clean, every one was nice and attentive but hotel needs updating, I stayed because its close to cruise port
- 5/5
Great view! Nice restaurant.
- 4/5
Stayed at this hotel because it was close to the cruise port. Hotel itself is very nice, clean and on the water, however, the price for food and beverages from the bar are extremely high. (Which I guess is expected based on location. $200 price tag for 8 shots, whoa!) Staff was very accommodating and friendly.
- 5/5
The room is clean and so is the balcony.
- 4/5
Nice hotel a little run down, but was told renovations will be taking place. One thing we didn’t like was the lack of lighting in the room. We found it dark and had to use our phone light to search for stuff inside bags. Gorgeous views at breakfast.
- 5/5
Love the location and the room. The view was fabulous and the restaurant was great.
- 5/5
Great location. Restaurant within walking distance. Nice menu, good food. Excellent staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, good restaurant and awesome view!
- 5/5
Nice decor, clean room, nice view
- 1/5
We left two days early. We were woke on our second day with the trees being trimmed before 8AM right outside our door. We have pictures. We accidentally knocked over a water glass. When cleaning it up the towel came away from the floor black. The entire floor of the room was not clean. The hotel said we would have to get a refund from Expedia but have yet to figure out where on the app to do so.
- 5/5
I have been reading the reviews before I left and they were mixed, however, in reality, everything was wonderful! When we checked in at 10PM, we noticed that our room safe was not operational. We talked to the front desk and they sent a repairman within 10 minutes! The room itself was a bit dated but very nice! (They are updating the hotel section by section) It was also surprisingly quiet. We had people knocking and we couldn't hear it. In terms of the facilities: We used the bar right off the bat as well as for morning cappuccinos and the bartender was amazing and very attentive! We also had a few meals in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the services was quick and attentive. The hotel also has a wonderful pool and hot tub, which was a lovely touch. All in all, where possible, I will be trying to stay at Hotel Maya again!
- 5/5
Great views and amazing customer service. I don’t eat tacos but those fish tacos are to die for.
- 5/5
Very comfortable
- 5/5
The dinner was top notch as was the breakfast ---- the views were AMAZING!
- 5/5
Very good service. Attended to our every needs
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
Location was GREAT! The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the restaurant and the dining area.
- 5/5
The room and Staff . Enjoyed the views the drinks at the bar. I had the best avocado toast mmm. I recommend wonderful stay. Looking forward to my next staycation.
- 2/5
Loud machinery sounds all through the night. Wasn't horribly loud but annoying. The worst part was the restaurant and how shady they slid $50 worth of extra charges on the bill. There is nowhere that says additional charges are added to bills. This doesn't include the gratuity either. Was so ticked to pay $50 extra for some appetizers and drinks. Not even a nicer restaurant or meal.
- 4/5
Nice room only thing is there should be a slip resistant in the shower I almost fell and also I recommend having complementary bottled water for the coffee.
- 4/5
Fairly nice stay. This hotel has a lot of potential. But for some reason not thriving. It's just under the mark. Kind of dingy yet charming. Food is good but very pricey and little choices. Service is friendly but doesn't really give you want you want or need. Said they had free shuttle to cruise port but everyday was their "day off". If you want to be close to Queen Mary then it's perfect and not as expensive as the Queen Mary. Just don't expect excellence
- 5/5
Love it! A diamond!
- 5/5
Breakfast is not included and must be paid for separately, otherwise I would’ve given a different rating for breakfast. Everything else was great, they even provide a shuttle to the cruise terminals! Very beautiful scenery, my husband and I took our 19 month old on a walk and had absolutely no issues, it was quiet. No food services nearby, it’s a drive for anything that would be considered close.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
N/A
- 4/5
The room was very clean, a little outdated, but nice. Had a great view of the ocean, especially Queen Mary. Will definitely book again
- 4/5
Excellent view, clean, good bed. Only problem was some loud guests at night.
- 5/5
Great room, comfortable bed, wonderful staff!
- 3/5
Some disrepair was evident; cobwebs in the corner, peeling plaster and wallpaper
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 4/5
Location of the property
- 4/5
Clean rooms, and great ambiance. Good looking hotel.
- 5/5
Very beautiful hotel.
- 4/5
Room was out dated. wall paper in bathroom was faded, and torn. furniture was chipped, floor was warped from water damage, elevator and hallways dirty
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
We loved our stay at Hotel Maya. The property is beautiful with lots to do right on site. We rented bikes and lime scooters and could easily access everything we wanted to do in Long Beach. Would definitely recommend to others!
- 5/5
Clean room. Great staff. Love the restaurant!
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Room was very nice and clean. Staff is super friendly! Amazing place to stay.
- 4/5
Loved the staff and the room. The only thing odd was the bathroom sliding door. I got trapped inside of it which is funny but glad I had my boyfriend to help me out.
- 5/5
All of the staff are very nice and knowledgeable. I’m going to return next year.
- 3/5
The room was in good condition & the staff was good.
- 5/5
Room was spotlese
- 4/5
Location was beautiful and the rooms were nice.

- 5/5
The front desk was amazing, The restaurant staff were amazing and the food was fire af try the server's fav. Margarita
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing and clean. Was super impressed by the staff
- 5/5
Room was okay but the property and staff were amazing.
- 2/5
Terrible overall for being over priced
- 5/5
Staff and location
- 3/5
Nice hotel overall. Some parts are dated could be upgraded or updated. Room was nice size and cozy but shower and sink both plumbing was not good. The breakfast was excellent and the service was very nice and customer focused at Fuego. Easy checking process and not bad pricing but the parking overnight rate of $45 is excessive.
- 5/5
It was a nice place.
- 3/5
Rooms were clean, but just need updating.
- 5/5
Great catering and event staff. Reception was great but could be staffed better
- 5/5
The wholesale staff was super sweet. Every single person I encountered was very accommodating and professional. We had an excellent breakfast from room service and our server couldn’t have been more amazing accommodating our picky preferences. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable, and I loved the quirky decor. I will stay here again for sure.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Cool property with awesome waterfront restaurant
- 5/5
Wonderful experience at Hotel Maya. Definitely come back soon.
- 3/5
Overal it's ok but nothing to write home about.
- 3/5
Old buildings, old style furniture and a tiny WC low and uncomfortable for adults.
- 5/5
The setting of the hotel offers plenty of easy walk to choices of things to do whuch really made this trip enjoyable. The hotel was amazing and a has very nice amenities.
- 3/5
I didn’t like that we had to pay for parking.
- 4/5
Beautiful property with excellent views!!
- 4/5
The rooms are a bit dated but clean. My only complaint was that the room we had this time was noisy and the “marina view” was more of a partial marina view.
- 5/5
Will definitely go again.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly. The shuttle service to and from the cruise was convenient and timely. The onsite restaurant was excellent!!
- 4/5
It was good for what we needed it for. The bed wasn’t great. The location was perfect for our cruise and we would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Very clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful. Construction being done in building next to us so sadly our view was dumpsters, other than that it is beautiful.
- 5/5
The restaurant Fuego (sic) was great staff was excellent. I would love to come back and stay again!
- 5/5
Overall excellent stay. Staff was responsive and fun
- 4/5
Great staff
- 3/5
They charge far more than what they offer.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Customer service was great
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet, easy check-in. Great location before going on the cruise
- 5/5
Beautiful place
- 5/5
Clean comfy pillows walking path to Queen Mary ❤️
- 5/5
It was a really nice stay, the workers were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be returning.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 2/5
Hotel staff was ok at best. Did not and will not recommend to anyone. Some staff seemed preoccupied when I needed assistance. Shuttle driver left early and had a less than welcoming attitude on my schedule time. No cell service
- 5/5
We loved our stay! Super kid friendly and easy to navigate. Amenities are nice as well as room views.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. Rooms was mediocre for the price.
- 5/5
Great views of the harbor.
- 3/5
Walkable to the Queen Mary.
- 1/5
The room smelled and appeared to have flood damage
- 5/5
Clean beautiful rooms. Great views. Only 1 restaurant onsite nothing close by, convenient to cruise port is what we needed. Great shuttle service!!
- 5/5
This property was very clean and has a great location. The staff were friendly and the vibes were definitely welcoming.
- 5/5
Romantic place totally
- 2/5
Parking, breakfast etc doesn’t come with stay
- 5/5
Great place to stay... had a good view of the lake.. overall 10/10
- 5/5
This stay was amazing!
- 5/5
Great location to walk the bay, friendly staff, pet friendly with a peaceful atmosphere. Worth it.
- 5/5
Felt very comfortable and safe
- 4/5
There is nothing immediately nearby except the cruise port and the Queen Mary. We were able to walk across the pedestrain bridge to get to restaurants and other shopping but there are no drug stores or grocery stores within walking distance. The property commons areas could use a little TLC but our room was clean, comfortable and looked nice. Id stay here again if i left on a cruise from here, the complementary cruise shuttle was great to have when you get nickel and dimed for everything else.
- 5/5
Ashley at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! She made sure our stay was enjoyable.

Love the shuttle that took us to eat and shopping area . Also next morning took us to the cruise terminal
- 4/5
Great location to get on a cruise ship in Long Beach. No stores and only 2 restaurants on that side of port.
- 5/5
We enjoyed the location of the hotel.
- 4/5
the elevator was a bit dirty with visible spiderwebs and an odd smell. Overall hotel was quite nice.
- 3/5
The toilet didn’t flush, hence not being eco friendly. The hot tub is lit up like an interrogation room at all times, and you are required to wear a wristband to prove that you paid $250/night and $45 parking. I’ve never paid $300 to be so insulted and to hold the handle down and count to 5 before.
- 3/5
Friendly staff but the rooms and facilities could use updating.
- 5/5
Very Clean
- 5/5
Would be happy to stay again
- 5/5
Beautiful property, restaurant was fantastic with an amazing view. Customer service was great. We just had a quick overnight stay but we will be back. One of the few stays with a shuttle to the port
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Attentive staff, quiet areas, close to the cruise port
- 4/5
I did not like that i had to pay to park at the hotel while i stayed there. A $45.00 charge per day was ridiculous. I just feel some things like parking a car in the parking lot while your there should be in cluded with the 350.00 a day room how ever i did enjoy the beautiful veiwes room was very clean but did lack that luxury feel could use some updating and our bathroom door did not close all the way but it was just me and my husband so it worked okay.
- 5/5
So beautiful we have decided to make this our once a year spot
- 4/5
I would stay there again!
- 2/5
Overall dated and dirty
- 5/5
beautiful nice peaceful property. the only downside is the steep $45/night parking fee. in my opinion for hotel guest should be free. overall nice experience.
- 5/5
Extended trip for another night because we couldn’t get over how beautiful and peaceful it was.
- 5/5
It felt like an all inclusive resort. Perfect for family fun and more. Beautiful view of the bay if you decided to get the balcony + bay view room! Would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Staff was very friendly!
- 5/5
This hotel is perfect for getting on and off the cruise ships. They provide transportation to and from the port.
- 4/5
Very friendly staff and nice pool area and beautiful bonfire area as well.
- 5/5
Second time staying here. We stay here when we go on the old-school concert cruises with carnival. The shuttling to the port is convenient. The staff are super amazing. The food, though pricey is absolutely delicious! Another cruise in April and another after that in September and definitely will be staying here.

LGBTQ Friendly

Me gustó la estancia, muy cómoda si quieres recorrer Long Beach o si te vas a embarcar en el crucero o en el Ferry hacia Isla Catalina. Cenamos muy rico en el Restaurante Fuego
- 5/5
Quiet and relaxing
- 5/5
The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and great views. I especially loved the attention to detail in the décor and how well everything was maintained. One of the highlights was the dining experience — the food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which made meals even more enjoyable. The location was ideal, close to everything I wanted to explore but still peaceful enough to relax. The pool area and outdoor spaces were perfect for unwinding, and I appreciated how serene the overall environment felt. Overall, Hotel Maya exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and welcoming place to stay. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip!
- 5/5
Beautiful area and wonderful walking path.
- 5/5
Really pretty view of the bay. The evening fire pits were nice. Overall wonderful stay.
- 1/5
Floors were very dirty. Did not look like it showed in the picture. We wanted a view to the ocean but couldn’t see it. Very noisy
- 5/5
Hotel Maya is a beautiful property with excellent lounging outdoors near the water.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 5/5
It has beach
- 5/5
Loved this place. Very unique and beautiful views. Dog friendly too.
- 5/5
Free shuttle to cruise ships also
- 5/5
Very welcoming and attentive. My stay was amazing.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel by the waters, would definitely go back 😍
- 5/5
Need more lighting and phone charging
- 5/5
Our stay was nothing short of amazing! I would definitely recommend for a family of couple. Rooms very nice in which we had a nice balcony view! Will be back when I’m in Long Beach!
- 5/5
Quick check in shuttle service to cruise terminal
- 5/5
Best place on the water fronts!
- 5/5
It was nice
- 4/5
It was amazing but having to pay for parking is ridiculous. Also for early check in and late check you have to pay. Also not enough parking especially when hosting wedding parties. They definitely need more parking.
- 5/5
Great staff, very nice and welcoming, clean, safe, just wish it was more well lit around the property as at night it gets very dark walking from the room to the parking lot
- 5/5
Great location! Shuttle to cruise terminal!
- 3/5
The room missing a lot stuff
- 3/5
They charge $45 for overnight parking which was on their own property. Very disappointing with this charge.
- 2/5
First thing I paid for a balcony with a water view and got a little sliver of the water. The one I told management about it they said they had no other rooms. Call them tomorrow. Next thing they offer shuttles to and from town. We got a shuttle into town, but when we called to take the shuttle back, I was told that the driver went home sick that we would have to get another way back into town. Not OK. Also, when the shuttle driver took us into town, we gave him a tip and his words were exactly “is this all” not professional at all?
- 5/5
Amazing resort style hotel walking distance from the Pike/Shoreline Village. Was very close to the cruise terminal
- 5/5
My husband and I are happy with the service
- 1/5
Leaf blower gas powered outside our room all morning.
- 3/5
We had no cold water in our hotel room. The pool area was not kept clean throughoutbthe day. There was foodnin the hot tub and pool later in the evening when we went to relax. Bstaff response was "it will get cleaned latee tonight"
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay before boarding on a Carnival cruise.
- 5/5
We’ve stayed here many times we love it, rooms are clean, except Halls are dirty! Check your bill they add a gratuity without telling you, and we added an additional tip, scam, they don’t tell you ,
- 5/5
A most beautiful, coastal property with the full experience of an oceanside resort. I hope to stay here again. Very beautiful place.
- 3/5
Outside activities definitely the highlight and free transportation to cruise ship
- 5/5
This place is a little secret! The staff is phenomenal from the front desk to the grounds! Mr Alex in maintenance is one very cool person. The next time we’re in town there’s no doubt that we will be staying at Hotel Maya
- 4/5
The room was comfortable and clean, we were allowed early check in, thank u!
- 1/5
1st impression, the property needs major attention the exterior walls were very dirty. The room vinyl floor & baseboards were dirty. Had to call housekeeping to remake the bed. Queen size fitted sheet on a king size bed. Had to call again to get the automatic shades to close. not operator error, faulty controller. The food at the hotel restaurant was terrible then to make matters even worse they add on a $25 “service fee” which was not disclosed until the bill came. This was for a party of two, the management came to the table with no explanation “just a city fee”. We will never return!
- 3/5
I paid for a water view and got a sliver of a view through two buildings. not happy about that talk to the management and they said maybe tomorrow we might have one available with a bit of view but did not also got the shuttle into town that they offered once in town. We called to have the shuttle come and get us and was told that the driver went home sick and that we would have to find her own way home. Maybe call an Uber not OK
- 5/5
All staff were friendly and welcoming, ending with the hotel shuttle service to the Catalina ferry, too! We look forward to staying again, thank you!
- 4/5
Views are fantastic.
- 2/5
Very noisy and inconvenient location, bad service with the only one restaurant onsite.
- 3/5
I suggest they broaden their services to travelers NOT just to the port
- 4/5
food and staff
- 5/5
What a beautiful resort! I would love to have stayed longer. When we arrived, the man at front desk upgraded our room to one with a balcony and a great view of the water. There's a lovely pool and hot tub, along with a man-made sand beach with chairs around fire pits. The beef tacos at the restaurant were amazing. I like to exercise and there's a walking trail across the bridge to downtown Long Beach. The hotel also has a nice gym with room to move and nice equipment. We walked to the aquarium. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Queen Mary.
- 1/5
We asked for early check in. 50 extra to check in at 2. We were told at 2:30 to keep checking. 4 and our rooms aren’t ready still. Ended up on 2 separate floors. They had a graduation party going on outside and it was so loud in my room things were shaking. Hair in the shower ect. We are from out of town with a party of 5 in 2 rooms so we couldn’t just find someplace else for the night. We were cruising out the next day. Several people told them they just wanted their money back. I didn’t get the rooms I paid for through Expedia.. I got pool view rooms.. the list goes on. Never again
- 2/5
The bee was cover by the trees very different from the pictures on the booking side.service crews were cleaning before we checked out
- 3/5
I didn't up staying here this weekend and was still charged for both rooms.
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 4/5
The property was clean and the environment was peaceful. I would highly recommend staying at the Maya.
- 5/5
Property is in as excellent location. Walking distance to some of Long Beaches historical landmarks
- 3/5
The rooms are a little dated, and unfortunately the floors in our room were very dirty — it felt gross to have dirty feet before even crawling into bed. On the positive side, the service was good. Our safe and bathroom door weren’t working initially, but staff responded right away and resolved the issues quickly. Housekeeping was attentive, and we appreciated the extra towels and coffee we requested. With some updates, better attention to cleanliness, and clearer accuracy in room descriptions, this could be a great spot, especially given the relaxing vibe and helpful service.
- 4/5
They didn’t have any towels for the pool, and the restaurant closed early on our stay, but the property is beautiful. Definitely would stay again.
- 2/5
Dirty hotel, everything is closed around it and nothing in walking distance. They lie about the shuttle but never opperates
- 4/5
Very beautiful scenery is pretty much all this place has to offer. Restaurant is pricey and options limited. No Doubletree cookies, nothing complimentary but Coffee; seems like a ripoff for the price. Very great place to stay if you’re going on a cruise as they offer shuttles. But outside of the shoreline, beauty of the hotel, & a cruise shuttle, there isn’t much here. Comfortable room though, employees were friendly. Front desk very attentive.
- 3/5
Very dirty
- 3/5
We had to pay for parking. Yes it’s LA but serious, there were more than enough empty spaces that one would think the hotel fee would be in the high price to stay here.
- 2/5
felt dirty! also, was automatically charged 20% gratuity at the fuegp restaurant for the worst most horrible service for a party of 3!!!! that is not right!!
- 4/5
Loved the vibe. Cleaning and service could improve.
- 4/5
The restaurant was expensive, but the staff and their services were simply wonderful! The only real issue was the grass mowing, hedge trimming, leaf blowing that went on every morning!!!! Was so noisy!!!!!! Otherwise it was very nice. Next time will stay closer to transit opportunities. If you have your own car it is lovely!
- 4/5
Good scenic view, cleaned and supportive staff
- 5/5
Unique experience
- 5/5
Place was great stay
- 5/5
Great place for a mommy break day! We spent a relaxing time by a fire pit and took a walk along the water way. Queen Mary is only a few minutes walk away. The view from the room was amazing!
- 5/5
If you wanna give time for yourself just go there
- 5/5
The property is gorgeous but what I am happy to say is that the people working there are courteous, kind and thoughtful. Our daughter left her blanket behind after checkout, that she has had for 10 years since birth. We didn't realize this until we were in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on a cruise. Several days later, when we called the hotel, they said that the cleaning person had found the blanket and held onto it for us. A little over a week later, after porting back in Long Beach, we stopped by the hotel and they did indeed find her blanket and gave it back to us. This was so extremely kind and you made this mama's heart so happy and a little girl overjoyed to have her baby blanket back. Thank you staff, you rocked!!

Beautiful hotel!
