Sanjay was very polite and apologetic when we had issues with the room and had to wait. When we first arrived our room wasn’t ready even though it was after check in time. We waited 40 min before they said another room would be ready faster (I’m assuming it was maintenance they never said why) the new rooms toilet had issues flushing and the door didn’t shut all the way, we had to shove stuff in the door crack to keep it closed.

I had just had a not-so-nice experience at another hotel in Sherman Oaks just before I checked in here, so this hotel felt like a luxury hotel as soon as I walked in. Nice staff, clean, comfortable room, and plenty of free parking.

That being said, Expedia or Best Western seriously need to correct the room photos being advertised for the standard rooms because they are extremely misleading. The photos shown for the standard room clearly depict a suite-style setup with a separate living area and sofa bed, which is not what was actually provided upon check-in. When I brought this up to Mark, he explained that the photos being displayed on Expedia for the standard room are actually photos of a suite. Unfortunately, by the time we realized this, there were no other rooms available for us to switch into. Had our third guest ended up coming, this would have created a much bigger issue since we were expecting the additional space and sofa bed shown in the listing. The most frustrating part is that the price difference between the standard room and the actual suite was minimal, so accurate advertising would have allowed us to make the correct choice from the beginning. Customers should not have to arrive and discover that the room they booked does not match the photos being used to market it. I hope this issue gets corrected so future guests do not experience the same confusion and inconvenience.

The staff is friendly, very service oriented and professional. Very close to Long Beach City College. The breakfast is delicious with a waffle maker, hot protein options (scrambled eggs, breakfast meat), French toast, bagels, toast and oatmeal for those of us needing to eat Gluten Free. 3 juices to choose from and milk to drink or for cereals. Nice selection of fruit and yogurts! Maid service was excellent and plenty of fresh blankets and towels. Beds comfortable and rooms quite lovely for such a small property.

Room had many dings on the walls, chipped paint, low ceiling, couch was disgusting and stained, rug was very old. Walls were thin. Sheets were clean and bathroom was fine which was the only reason we decided to stay through the night.

The room was clean & cozy and a decent size that was enough for our stay. Beds were comfortable, with fresh-smelling sheets. Even on the third floor, the water pressure for the shower was strong. They provided breakfast daily and with a variety of yogurts, waffles and toppings, bagels & cream cheese, variety of self-serve cereals and milk, as well as hot items such as eggs, sausages, and French Toast. They had an assortment of beverages, such as, coffee, tea bags, and juices. Our overall experience was exceptional and if we were in the area and needed a place to stay, we would gladly stay here again!

Water started dripping from the ceiling and when we called the front desk he said “just put a trash can under it, it happens all the time”.

small breakfast, our executive suite was next to the office/kitchen and layndry room. The cleaning crew kept the laundry room door open and the room keeping cart next to our door the whole trip making it a maze to get out of our own room door and into the hallway. They spoke loud at 6am in the halls and they even were banging pots and pans in the kitchen at 5:30am. NO conditioner either. NOT the end of the world becasue the room was nice and big but the noise made it hard to sleep.

Breakfast (eggs, potatoes, bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, beverage) were plentiful amd tasty. Clean seating area.

There was free breakfast every day, my room was clean. Everything i needed was near by. I would absolute stay again. Great coffee and a must try valentinos pizza and pasta right on the corner... its to die for! I took it back to my room and ate and ran back to tip more, it wad that good.

Enjoyable overnight stay. Room was clean and very nice though a bit small as one would expect for a hotel of this class in this area. Very nice front desk staff and good breakfast that included eggs, sausage, toast, hot oatmeal and other options. Pool (unheated) and hot tub rather small but well-maintained. Would definitely return!

arrived in room 204 with my kids. blood stained was on the curtains. we had to book another room else where. when i talked to the guy at the desk he would take care of it. called back and talked to a woman in the morning and she said i checked out . tried to get a refund since i didn’t stay there at all and was denied a refund .

Overall, the room was nice and clean. The only downside was that the pillows were small and the bed sloped slightly towards the head of the bed so your feet were slightly higher other than that everything was good. I oils stay there again if I’m ever in that area and need a place to stay.

This hotel was the perfect central location for my families trip. We had days planned in both Long Beach and Disneyland and this was the perfect middle spot. The area was great with good food options, parking was plenty and easy, staff was so nice and give us great suggestions and we loved the free breakfast and coffee. Great affordable place to sleep!

Room was dark and didn’t smell good. Light over sink burned out. Checked in around 4 asked for a higher floor but was told all that was available were rooms on ground floor next to parking lot. Wish I had stayed across the street at the Fairfield.

This Best Western is not a good one. The stairs have these black plastic edge pieces they screwed in that will catch your feet and make you trip and fall, happened to me twice. The rooms were nice and clean and the location is peaceful and quiet. However, there is an indian clerk with dark complexion and glasses at the front desk who checked me in. He was asking me for my personal information but was asking me to write it down, definitely not standard and he was most likely going to sell my info to data brokers. Then he asked for my number and I thought it was to confirm my info in his computer. So I told him that. The very next day in the afternoon my phone starts blowing up with scam texts. This indian guy took my number and sold it to data brokers and so that is my main issue with this location. Never coming back to this hotel location or ANY Best Western location ever again, lost my business.

This was the worst trip of staying in a hotel that I've ever experienced. Staff particularly desk clerk "Sanjay" extremely rude. Requested maid service only to return after a long day with family to find the maids removed the linen from the bed and left it bare. After going to customer who was the same rude desk clerk that checked us in who didn't want to address the issue. The same desk clerk entered the room very aggressive with just four bed pillows and slammed them on my mother's bed. When I asked why and what was he doing he then approached me yelling which resulted in the police being called to the scene. The next morning upon checking out I spoke with the manager "Clarissa" who was running late to work listened to my complaint and stated she needed to review the tapes. As I was walking out I looked back at her and she rolled her eyes. The desk clerk Mike was the most professional one who helped me out as much as possible although I had to eventually get the proper linen and made my own bed. The carpet was so dirty stinky and sticky very disgusting that we had to use towels to walk on with socks on or shoes for certain.

I requested a non smoking room on my reservation and they gave a room with smoking. I asked to be moved to another room and was told if I don’t like to room I’m in I can have my money back and go some where else. I told the manager at the front desk that’s not what I want. I just want a room that doesn’t smell like smoke. He than moved me to a room with no smoke smell.

I disliked that they have fleas. I was bitten all over my legs and arms. The bathroom door has glow in the dark graffiti inside. Old carpeting, old furnishings.

The food options were practical and good and the bed conformt was acceptable. The day of the check in the restroom miss to have amenities and there was a strong odor to smoke at all times.

I came in late in the evening was greeted very nicely. The man at the desk took my information and was quite nice and informative. The next day we went in for coffee and breakfast and again the staff was great and the facility was very clean. I would stay there again and not give it a second thought.

The entire facility was very clean: The pool, Jacuzzi, grounds, rooms, lobby, and parking lot were spotless!! Upon arrival, I was checked in quickly; Upon request, I was accommodated for a more suitable room. Housekeeping was excellent and non-disturbing. Air conditioning, water pressure, lighting and in-room appliances were fully functional. The bathroom has a powerful fan which I like. The windows open for fresh air. My view from the west was nice. Breakfast was well stocked, hot, and tasty! The television has lots of channels and HDMI PORT. I felt very safe and sound. The surrounding area is friendly, clean, and bright with shops of all kinds, restaurants, and convenience stores within walking distsnce. The community at large does not seem affected by homelessness/tent cities and/or stragglers roaming about. I DIDNT SEE ANY BUGS OF ANY KIND except butterflies and honey bees!!! There is FREE WIFI!! My only issue was the bed was a bit soft, however there are plenty of (4) firm pillows to lay on if you need back support. I will be coming back here in the future for sure!!!

Only downside is that the walls are paper thin so you can hear the front office and upstairs from the common area; it legit sounded like people were in the room with us loud. Luckily nothing from the bedroom. We also didn't spend the day in the room so it wasn't as big of a deal for us. Other minor issues included: no recycling bin like in other best westerns, no knives for the kitchen, and no conditioner in bathroom. Overall, would still recommend and stay again!

Bathroom clean. The bed mattress was a little lumpy and the bottom sheet was a flat sheet not a fitted sheet but it was clean. Standard issue for a hotel room. It was a little noisy through the night and walls are a bit thin.

I booked this hotel off Expedia based on the previous reviews but this property was average at best and the breakfast which was touted as being great, wasn’t anything special.

We were there for one night and it was very convenient to Long Beach Airport. We could walk to eat dinner but had a nice breakfast at the hotel. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Check in was supposed to get 3 pm but didn't get our room until 7:30 pm. We wasted time waiting for our room. The guy at the front desk was gone for more than 30 minutes even when people were waiting in lobby.

Old furniture and lumpy bed. Recently painted but still smelled musty. Not enough parking for weekend stays. The breakfast over my three-day stay were very good.

Rating of 8.8 out of 10 is too high for this property. Parking is too crowded and right next the rooms. It’s noisy. Dining area is too small and they put the check-in counter together. Windows in the room is not sound proof, you can hear the noise from the street. I give it a rating of 6.0 out of 10.

Lots of shops, restaurants, and street food (that was ALSO amazing) near by, within a walkable distance. Would stay here again. Also had working pool and hot tub. Quaint small hotel, safe area, clean hotel, very kind staff, yummy breakfast with good food chioces. After getting in swimsuit,key card did not work, had to walk to ask lobby to open, I was disappointed the jacuzzi was closed and the pool too cold to get in.

The bad: older building that needs a little TLC. We found 1 bee, quite a few spiders and mosquitos in our room.

We stayed in room 210 and the air conditioning had to be turned off because of the noise it made when running, and there was what sounded like running water running through the wall next to the bed, it was so loud and annoying my husband had to sleep on the couch in the adjoining room. First bad experience with this Best Western.

Negative would be property is aged as 1) sink hot water took min 5 minutes to warm up, 2) toilet made loud, odd sound most of the flushes, 3) tv picture was ok but you could tell it was aged along with the remote which was erratic when buttons were pushed.

they had our room ready ahead of time before 3:00pm. First impression of the room was great. Restroom looked really clean. However when we laid down in bed, we noticed a lot of dust going up from the blankets. I am not sure if that room was ever dusted properly, or if that was coming from the blankets. They also have popcorn ceiling that was visible to be full with dust if looked by an angle. Regardless of that, since we were there for just one night it was acceptable and fine. The property is old, so you will be able to hear all footsteps passing by in front of the door at night or early morning. that is normal in these kind of places. the breakfast was absolutely amazing. those were the best eggs i had in my life! small kitchen but clean and lot of food options!

We enjoyed our stay overall. There was one night that was extremely disturbing with a couple fighting loudly in the hallway past midnight and waking the kids up multiple times. The staff said they kicked them out the next day because we were ready to change hotels for the rest of our vacation but that's all they did. Pretty much after that we were anxious that something similar could happen. Aside from this, its a nice place: friendly staff, a spacious room, many breakfast options that the kids liked, and a pool. Cleanliness can be better.

Second time staying at this location, the staff is always overly welcoming and very accommodating to any request. Rooms are always very clean and comfortable.

The gentleman that checked us in was nice. There was quite a bit of noise at the pool late (but it was very hot today). There was a smaller bug on the table we had to kill.

My brother and niece like the scrambled eggs and sausage links. Only issue was that the fridge was not plugged in and you can hear people in the hallways talking, walking and closing doors. Felt it was a good value for the type of hotel and location. Would stay here again.

Great staff! They were friendly and very helpful. Staff called when a family member forgot a valuable in the room to let us know that they found it. Hotel is close to CSULB which we were visiting. Didn't stay there very long but we will return if we are in the area again.

The room was not what I was use to with Best Western. The bathroom is/dirty with mold like stains on the ceiling and walls, the light fixture was very rusty also.

Just needed a place to sleep and this was great. It is nestled in between other businesses so you have to keep an eye out to find it but free parking is a rare perk in CA. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable so I'd stay again for the comparable value of other locations with fewer benefits.

This is a nice little hotel in Los Alamitos conveniently located to beaches, amusement parks, shopping. The property is well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. This is my go to hotel when coming to this area.
