Reviews
The hotel has a unique, stylish vibe and is well-located for exploring downtown LA, with many guests praising the rooftop pool and bar. However, several guests had issues with the automated check-in system, noise from the surrounding area, and comfort of the beds. Some also felt the neighborhood was unsafe.

I stayed solo for the Ariana Grande concert and I completely enjoyed my stay! The staff were friendly and helpful, I had a small issue with my shower knob being too hard but it was quickly resolved! The rooms were stylish, clean and comfy, I loved the face masks. Would definitely recommend and stay again :)

No hot water in shower. Not user error. No parking. Staff helpful and nice.
- 5/5
Great location, excellent staff, clean and comfortable room. Lots of amenities and things to do within the hotel. Mix of smoking and non smoking. The hallway to our non smoking room smelled like an old Vegas hotel from the baked in cigarette smoke.
- 5/5
The staff here are exceptional. Beds are extremely comfy, rooms are very clean and modern. TV connects to all apps such as Netflix, YouTube, etc. the check-in online was really easy to use and when we arrived it was lovely to have the codes already and just walk to our room. The rooftop bar and pool area are a great way to wind down after a busy day touring. Location is great and we never had an issue with loud noises, disturbance. Laundry facilities are fantastic and so easy to use. The Gym is fully equipped and in excellent condition - everything is spotless there. Big shoutout to all staff again who are amazing at their job. They are a credit to this hotel. Well done!! Nothing! Everything was PERFECT!

Loved the atmosphere, and police staff. Wish there was free parking.

Look forward to the cafe/ restsurant to go live. Thanks again!

Very clean, comfortable, virtual desk was great but staff very accomodating and helpful when needed. Massive bonus self service laundry on site.

Good hotel, with spacious and clean room. Bed was comfy and location was great for transportation, even though LA isn’t much of a public transport oriented city. Area of downtown is known to not be among the safest ones, however, during the day it was amazing and quiet. Didn’t have much of a time to check outdoor bar and pool myself, but pool is very small and you can’t properly swim there. Feels more of a jacuzzi.
- 4/5
We chose this hotel for price and location to public transit, as we were attending a graduation nearby at USC. For the price point, the hotel was fantastic considering other hotels were charging upwards of $500-$1200 for the night. The online check in was a breeze, the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and the bedding / pillows were comfortable. The room style is minimalist and makes good use of very small spaces. Our room had a bit of an odd layout as the toilet was off to one side and the shower/sink area was across the small foyer. Not a big deal. We appreciated attention to small details such as a nice kettle for tea or coffee, a steamer for your clothes, and sheet masks to soothe your face. Some people might not like the street noise, and you can definitely hear the rooftop/bar/club (we were on the 7th floor), but the hotel provides earplugs. We could not figure out how to turn off the lights behind the headboard, so ultimate just pulled the plug, but then you kill power to the nightstand outlets. The hotel parking situation was not great - the lot they use is not close and not desirable to walk from late at night in that area. The lot right next to the hotel is just okay, it didn't feel like the most secure place, but as with any open lot in an urban space, just don't leave things out in the car or in the trunk. We were a 10 min walk to the E line Pico Station, and about a 12 min walk to the 7th/Metro station entrance.

Location in DTLA was good and walking distance to many restaurants and sites. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable bed. Shower was hot and complimentary soaps and face mask was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building was interesting and the coffee shop was lovely addition. Nothing .. all was good.. a little noise from the street til late but that’s nothing to do with the hotel.
- 4/5
It’s okay
- 4/5
Comfy bed and pillows and nice Korean products for shower. Staff was helpful and friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
This place was a little unconventional, for me at least. You needed a code to enter the building, a code for the elevator, and a code for your room - no keys or key cards. Security-wise I guess it's effective, but it took some getting used to and I'm not sure getting information from them without a mobile phone would have been very easy. The room was very clean and comfortable, and it had the usual amenities -- hair dryer, in-room coffee maker, safe, iron, etc. -- but the television only offered about a dozen channels, and no network TV, which was a bit unusual -- not being able to get the local morning news and weather. That aside, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the cafe downstairs was very convenient. I had booked STILE because of its proximity to the Orpheum Theatre down the street, but I have to say that the area is not ideal. S. Broadway itself is OK, but there are limited dining and shopping options, and once you veer off to the side streets, it doesn't feel very safe, especially to this older woman traveling alone, with lots of unhoused people accosting you. Not the hotel's fault, obviously, but definitely a consideration.
- 5/5
The bar wasn’t open the days I was there but it’s close to a lot of good spots. They provided toiletries and face masks which was a lovely touch. My only suggest for improvement is to get better hairdryers- they have Con air which famously suck long hair in and damage it. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Clean and updated. A nice hotel for a couple days. Good location.
- 4.5/5
The location in DTLA was so convenient. We were close to restaurants, theaters and retail. I particular liked the stylish, quality renovation they have done to such a historic building. The rooftop pool and bar made our stay special The gym was closed for renovations, and the cafe downstairs closed too early

This was my first time solo traveling to LA. Staying at STILE was a 10/10. Location was great and the hotel was clean and very comfortable. Staff was very nice.

It was cute. I loved the location. Although there was not a lot of options for food inside the hotel, there was a great restaurant next to hotel that we ate at daily.

Nice boutique hotel. Currently remodeling whole floors. Could not use the pool area due to the remodeling. My experience was of 7 showers only 2 were hot water all others was lukewarm.

I give it 3 stars because at the concert the band sprayed red water at the audience and it got my son’s hair wet. It was non-toxic and washed out of clothing. It got on his pillow and a couple towels and the hotel charged me for damage. I was notified a couple hours after checking out so they didn’t even wash the items to see that it would come out. At least wash the items first and then charge me if it’s a problem. Fortunately they did not charge an outrageous fee ($40).

Major construction work happening in the hotel. Many things just seemed shut. Gym/pool unusable. Rooftop bar closed.

The hotel looked nothing like the pictures displayed on website. The room was unclean and bed was 2 inches from the floor...no door on the bathroom

- 3/5
Parking is an offsite parkade and for a fee $40usd per night. Pool was unavailable. Did laundry and dryer took money and didn’t operate. Had to move clothes to different dryer and repay. Had to request staff to get our room cleaned because we were initially on a ‘do not clean’ for some reason. Complimentary coffee/tea only in room. Staff were always helpful but for the price the inconveniences were disappointing.

The property was comfortable in all respects with the exception of very dull room lighting. Being downtown L.A. there was a lot of street noise, so consider this if you intend to stay here. I'd like to commend the concierge, Aaron, who made me feel very welcome, answered my multitude of questions, gave excellent local area advice and was highly accommodating and professional in every regard. Thanks to you Aaron, you made my visit so much easier!

Roof top view pool wasn't functioning, entry procedures were over complicated, parking was not well communicated, lobby appeared to be closed or non-functioning.
- 3/5
Stay was ok.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, beautiful hotel with a coffee shop inside, and room styling that felt modern and sexy even. Parking in a structure near by is kinda annoying, but worked out just fine and is par for the course in that part of LA. I’d stay here again!
- 2/5
I was catfished with the room I saw online versus what I got. The hotel is under renovation and renting out halfway renovated rooms and passing them off as chic. I booked a room with a balcony, bathtub and city view. I picked this hotel for the rooftop pool and not until my arrival did I know it was under renovation. The hotel blamed Expedia and although I both the extra insurance, nothing was done. They switched my room to one with drywall and a ceiling that wasn’t exposed concrete and gifted me a split of sparkling wine because all their rooms were filled. Incredibly overpriced for an unfinished room.
- 4/5
Big room
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is a little different, but not in a bad way. Conveniently located, especially for Orpheum Theatre. There is no parking but there is a parking lot close by.
- 0.5/5
Good location I was returning to our room ~10 PM and found a staff member inside our bathroom to fix water complaint from the guest below. However, I did not receive any texts or calls to inform of this incident. Later on that same night, I voiced my concern to the staff about water piling outside the shower and was dismissed by the staff member with a few extra towel. Then due to that water, I ended up falling and injured myself. Communicated with the property and they finally changed my room around 1:30 AM. All this to say, I won’t be return to this facility.
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly. Coffee in the rooms were delicious! A short 15 min walk to the Crypto.com Arena and within walking distance to bus stops and restaurants. I will come back again for sure!
- 5/5
I had a larger room that was extremely comfortable, very clean, bed was great, loved the shower, bathroom, etc. The only thing i didnt like was the carpeting in the room and a dehumidifier with a hose going out a window with taped up cardboard, kind of sketchy. I would rate the hotel 3.5 stars, not 4 but very good and id stay there again.
- 5/5
Presidential suite was fantastic except for a non working shower. Bathtub was difficult to get out of, very slippery!
- 5/5
Offering ear plugs!
- 4/5
The room was clean but the bed was set up very weird with the head of the bed facing the middle of the room vs the wall.
- 0.5/5
The lobby. The room was unacceptable and we were disappointed with the presentation. We did NOT stay. The carpet was dirty and it smelled like they had sprayed or fumigated with a strong deodorizer (this affected my asthma). The carpet was a yellowish/green with stains and the sofa was old and stained. The ceiling was cemented concrete beams no ceiling; no air conditioning. The bed looked like a futon; no sheets or comforter available; the bathroom had no door. My husband went down to request another room which looked exactly the same. I was so upset I didn’t take pictures. Instead I was on the phone with Hilton trying to get another reservation at a proper hotel. The concerns were discussed with management. Since, we only walked into the room to be disappointed and didn’t not stay - we REQUESTED a refund. We had paid for early check in at 1pm. Management said she would attempt to get us a refund; it was early enough to make it available to another party. Reason for room decor was gothic The only reason we selected this hotel was because it was suggested close to the fashion district. The hotel was not worth the money we lost; because they did not give us a refund. The check in process was a stressful process. Having check in virtually was a hassle. I would not recommend this hotel. When you have gone top tier hotels 10 minutes away for less money as well.
- 5/5
Very central close to restaurants shops and public services Fantastic the roof top
- 4/5
Easy check-in and check-out. Everything was convenient Kind of loud at night. Carpet wasn’t very comfortable. Shower was difficult to turn off completely.
- 5/5
The whole setup was awesome. We got a balcony room overlooking the street. The stay was comfortable, the check in was easy, parking was available just outside, and the shower was hot! Would absolutely stay again.
- 3/5
The room was cold for my friend wife and no amount of adjusting the thermostat helped. Also no TV signal so nothing to watch. I sent a text to a 24/7 number as it stated I should do but no one responded.

The check in process was over the phone. Staff helped me check in ON MY PHONE. The pool was empty (no water). The room was warm and couldn't get cold (had to call room service) the water pressure in the shower was weak. The water in the shower did not get Hot.
- 3/5
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Decent location and value if you wanna be around downtown area. The rooms are scheduled for renovations. Until then there’s some exposed concrete, very very old carpet.

I requested assistance the morning of the fifth as the construction workers begin their work here at 5 AM promptly which kept us awake. I’m a late sleeper and unfortunately I did not get to sleep until about midnight or one in the morning. Therefore, I only got about four hours of sleep because the construction was extremely loud and vibrated the room when I called they said they would find a resolution and did not as the construction continue throughout the entire morning moving forward to the sixth I again was woken up quite early in the morning by construction workers, and I am here at 10:30 in the morning, working on my check out and packing my bags and still listening to the same construction that I’ve heard all morning. There was no offer to switch rooms to a quieter room. There was no offer to quell my annoyance with this issue. We have heard nothing but broken promises
- 2/5
Room 301: No view! Unfinished entry and bathroom floor. Toilet and lavatory at different end of the room. Spotted and dusty carpet. Cheap dirty so called furniture. Low bed with no mattress box as if you are sleeping on the floor. Unfinished wall areas with no frames and decorations. No actual restaurant on the premises; and outside parking with $30 hours overnight cost. I don’t know how this hotel got that high rating!
- 5/5
Staff was so nice and helpful and the coffee was amazing, super safe and comfortable as a first time LA traveler alone. Location was also safe.
- 5/5
Great location, walkable, clean and easy check-in and out. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful
- 4/5
Room was clean, loved the water pressure in the shower and the setup of the room. Staff was kind and accommodating. During our stay, there was a rainstorm so we didn’t get to enjoy the rooftop bar, but checked it out and it looked fantastic. We will definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
Great room. Nice staff. But very loud street noise.
- 4/5
Convenience, ambiance , view of city Bedding. Needs a box spring. Too low. Been commenting this for years. Lol. The tv app little small but ok but this time we had a tv that would glitch time to time. Love this hotel but plz fix these small things.
- 4/5
A full length mirror to check appearance would be nice in the room. Cleaning staff could be more consistent in the way they stock the towels. Other than that I found everyone so helpful and kind. Such very nice and congenial people.
- 5/5

Areas for improvement: missing shower curtain and broken hair blower
- 3/5
Room was okay. Bed was very low to the floor and the shower was very small with no door or curtain so water got everywhere. Carpet was very dirty. Staff was nice but not overly attentive. For the price it was acceptable.
- 1/5
Cleanliness needs improvement.
- 4/5
The staff was very good but the service was delayed for what was requested
- 5/5
Honestly, we loved everything. The location is prime. The rooms are simple but have everything you need. If I could leave one suggestion it would be to provide bottled water, even if it is at a cost to the guest. Since CA water isn’t drinkable it would be an added bonus.

the bed is close to the ground, the lights can be dimmed, there is a good sized window, i can cast netflix on the tv, it felt so cozy ! the clerb was kinda loud sometimes but like it was fine cuz i didn't notice when i actually went to sleep
- 4/5
The staff was almost non existant. It is a ghost hotel. It has a front desk and a coffee shop. They are doing some construction. If you like quiet and good rooms this is a place.
- 4/5
Great location downtown. Older hotel but clean and efficient. Paid parking right next door.
- 4/5
Excellent service!!
- 3/5
Carpet and curtains can be cleaner. More should be done about disruptive and loud hotel guests during “quiet hours.” Shower should be enclosed so that it doesn’t feel cold while using it. Windows between bedroom area and shower should be at the very least frosted.
- 1/5
The worst hotel experience. Noisy and smelly rooms- Extremely inattentive staff who refuse to provide basic necessary services (e.g. towels, trash removal, changing sheets, etc.). This hotel should not qualify for 2 stars.
- 1/5
The photographs are lies.
- 5/5
Great location great room. Everything was fantastic.
- 5/5
100% recomendado! Todo fue EXCELENTE!
- 4/5
Great style inside and out. Basic but clean room. Great location. Amazing rooftop pool. I’ll come back next time when there are more people to enjoy it with!
- 5/5
I didn’t swim in the pool or go to the bar, but did sit out there by myself to work on music! Great hotel, especially for Traditionally minded men in La
- 2/5
Hotel is too dark. Halls and rooms are painted in a dark brown. Room was beat up, poor lighting, and mattress was on a pallet and to low to floor. Got into hotel at 1:30 AM on a Friday night and the noise in the area was over the top. I was suppose to be there for 8 days, but checked out in 4 hours.
- 5/5
The property was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly. Loved the room layout and size. Only con was keeping water off the floor when showering but the tub, bathroom and bed were all amazing.
- 3/5
I would recommend waiting until the hotel has completed remodeling/renovations as the rooms might be upgraded. Our room had a very heavy sliding door to the toilet closet which was very cumbersome to open and close. At times it felt like it was stuck shut with me inside. There was a large stain on the carpet which was a bit off putting. They also don’t have valet parking or a clear loading and unloading area. We pulled into the parking lot adjacent to the hotel and hoped that we would not get ticketed. The self parking is around the corner and claims to be in and out parking although as we walked by around 11pm the entry and exit were shuttered by bay doors. Parking is not an add-on option through Expedia, and although the hotel’s site says $30, it is actually $40 in person or via the check-in site. I was informed that on website it discounted since you’re bundling with your direct reservation. The staff were very friendly.
- 2/5
Club or party above my room. No concierge to switch rooms. Got no sleep
- 4/5
Location was close Belasco
- 5/5
The room could do with a way to switch off lights by the bedside
- 2/5
They didn’t have a light in the bathroom so like anytime you use the bathroom that wasn’t light outside. You couldn’t see in the bathroom too. Our TV worked 0% of the time we were there I would freeze or have no sound three I thought I was gonna need late check out but I really didn’t need a late check out and they never gave me my 30 bucks for my late checkout, but otherwise that it was nice. We went to go see Sabrina Carpenter at crypto so it was nice to stay in.

- 5/5
Was clean and quiet
- 5/5
Best hotel I've ever been to! Loved the balcony and the overall layout of the room. I do wish the showers had a door though to trap the steam/heat. And a microwave in the building also would have been nice!
- 4/5
You have to know how L.A. is (regarding general cleanliness, homeless etc.) and this was in a nice location with minimal issues i mentioned. Room was a nice size, shower was hot and the hotel was clean and well staffed. The rooftop bar was nice, although during our trip the events just weren't our thing. I'd recommend this place for sure. This is a personal thing, i hated the bed. It was a mattress on a flat hard base so it was way firmer than i like. Again, this is just me so take that with a pinch of salt. The windows were double glazed but not tight when closed so sound pollution was quite high. But, i travel with ear plus so it wasn't so bad (plus they supply disposable ear plugs).
- 3/5
They are getting ready for a full remodel. The hotel served its purpose, as I went to a show one block away, but I wouldn't stay there again.
- 5/5
I enjoyed this unique, historical property! The lobby has really cool and interesting art scattered around, and the free drip coffee bar was easy to access. My room was interesting and the booking was upgraded prior to arrival - a nice bonus. Stile is a short walk from The Belasco, The Orpheum, and other popular venues. Zinqué is a few steps away and was great for breakfast and lunch. Honestly looking forward to staying again!
- 4/5
It was ok. But look old
- 5/5
Though there’s no free parking, the place was great! It was walkable distance to many things and the hotel room itself was very nice!

- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay; everything was perfect.
- 4/5
The bed was comfortable and I liked the area. I also loved the provided shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Although the carpet was stained, the room overall was clean, and I loved the wide open windows. And the rooftop bar area was beautiful. However, I strongly think the showers should have a door, or at least a curtain. There was a large puddle of water outside the shower that formed as I showered. Also, the water was lukewarm at best. I need it hot!
- 5/5
Love this place. Needs more staffing.
- 5/5
Clean room, architecturally interesting area of downtown LA, great customer service, and great rooftop bar.
- 5/5
Quaint room. Super friendly and helpful staff, a good location.
- 4/5
Cool location just park cars in a garage so it doesn’t get towed! Also ask for extra towels because they usually low! All in all, the place ain’t that bad!
- 4/5
It was good enjoy the spot got a bit confused on the elevator but after resolved it was a good spot would recommend again
- 3/5
Didn't have a balcony.

- 5/5
The room that my friend and I stayed in was breathtaking! Great city views. The only downside was that the pool wasn’t heated. 24 hour staff was friendly and kept in touch with us if we needed any assistance. Definitely would stay here again!!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 4/5
Really enjoyed my time at STILE! Personally, I wasn't a fan of the physical location, but otherwise I really enjoyed this property. The room setup is very different from your average hotel, but it was still functional. I liked the keyless aspect of everything and the rooftop was a great vibe! It did get pretty loud some nights- i appreciated the earplugs and sound machine.
- 5/5
Excellent room with a Balcony view
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious accommodations. Love the gym and pool spaces.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful and good value for money. Loved the large windows in the room looking out and bed was super comfy
- 5/5

Room was superb, coffee shop great. Loved it all!
- 1/5
Everything was small, cramped, and stinky. 0/10 star rating. Also, at varies times, the laundry service, gym, and pool weren't functioning or open during my stay. There was also loud and unsightly construction on my floor.
- 5/5
Excellent stay — perfect balance of comfort and class. The balcony view was stunning, and the bar had a solid cocktail selection with great service. Staff were professional but personable, making it easy to feel at home. Location can’t be beat — walkable to dining, shops, and nightlife. Definitely a spot I’d book again
- 3/5
No irons in the room and nobody answering the front desk to help. Barista downstairs called out and couldn’t get coffee. We enjoyed this place more when it was The Ace Hotel. The previous staff at the Ace Hotel were stellar. Truly missed the mark for us this go around

I was so uncomfortable that I checked out at 5 a.m. and could not stay another minute. Neither the hotel nor Expedia has responded to my refund request. I’ve filed a report with the Los Angeles County Health Department due to the mold and unsanitary conditions. Avoid this property — Shame on Expedia for advertising this horrible hotel!
- 5/5
Nice place, enjoyed the stay.
- 5/5
I LOVE that place, I'm coming back and staying there, perfect spot!
- 1/5
Room was nice and check in was easy but they currently have a night club on the roof of the hotel that is open until 1-2AM. Perfectly fine with there being a bar and restaurant on the roof but to put a DJ there every night you are open and have them playing past close makes it very clear that they do not care about the hotel guests.. only about making money at their night club. If you actually need to sleep and don't want the bass from the party upstairs echoing through your room late into the night I recommend booking somewhere else. I had a 6am flight and they had their DJ blasting music until 1:30AM... on a Thursday.
- 3/5
This used to be the Ace Hotel, it used to be fab. The building is the same, lovely, but the place looks fairly run down now. The gym and community room were closed, the bar and restaurant are closed as well, the room was fine but there are details that are consistent with the run down derelict theme, blinds with holes in them, a cheap light ganging by the a cable that is plugged in, etc. I used to love this place, but now I won’t stay here again, there are better places around.
- 5/5
Great room. Loved it. The shower doesn’t have any privacy, in the sense it’s windowed. But it was just me and my wife, so not really an issue. It’s in a good and safe area, some good restaurants nearby, a CVS for groceries and whatnot. Had a great time.

Nice
- 5/5
my 2nd stay here and i loved it! Check in and check out process is smooth and no hassle. Comfortable stay cool staff
- 3/5
The room was clean but was not comparable to the picture online. The walls, furniture, and floor were banged up and not new. The toilet is literally in a rectangle box on the side of the room. Only plus was that it was next door to our venue. The price was not worth it.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable. Great location
- 5/5
The rooms are so stylish.
- 5/5
Room was beautiful, clean, and well designed. Felt better about the cost once I entered the room
- 4/5
The room was nice and clean. The staff was very plesant and helpful. I would 100% choose this hotel again for my next stay in LA. There are good cafés in the area and food nearby, as well as convenience stores.
- 5/5
I’ll five star in this place.
- 2/5
The room was not as advertised. The “aesthetic” was under construction? The room didnt look like it was finish being built. The carpet had stains in it. The shower didnt have a door and water got all over the floor.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay , and I loved the room
- 5/5
The best thing about this hotel is how nice and responsive the staff are. The location is also great. It’s a great deal for the price and definitely we would go again.
- 5/5
Last minute choice and one of the best we made. Very clean, friendly service, well located. The only problem was parking but they had a couple of options next door. The poool was stunning and very relaxing.
- 5/5
very stylish (ha) with comfortably sized rooms, beds, and a nice balcony although mine didn’t have the greatest view.
- 5/5
Clean room with attractive and unique urban feel. Decor matches the neighborhood and the rooftop bar is a plus.
- 4/5
However, I was really disappointed that no one came to clean or service my room during my entire stay. Basic housekeeping should be a given, especially for multi-night guests. With better attention to cleanliness and guest care, this could have been a much better experience.
- 5/5
Clean room and great staff
- 5/5
I liked the layout of the room a lot
- 4/5
i had little problem with amenities, shampoo, body cleanser, these were bit too oily for me. other than that, excellent stay
- 5/5
Overall is good bit not aa
- 5/5
Beautiful spot with an extremely convenient check in
- 3/5
The hotel is nice, but the whole check in process is complicated and invasive. They are focused in advance check in and insist on providing a selfie, which makes me feel uncomfortable. No hotel should be asking for this. They can look at my ID when I show up to make sure that's me. I cannot see myself staying here again due to this procedure.
- 5/5
Loved it! Gonna move here
- 5/5
Very cute hotel easy check in/check out and convenient off site parking that was reasonable for LA
- 5/5
Excellent ubication, all very practice the virtual ,check inn and check out,
- 3/5
The room was nice and clean very comfortable bed. The shower was a little odd. There’s no door or curtains the water gets all over the place but the water pressure was good. The hallways weren’t my favorite. It doesn’t match other parts of the hotel. It looked dark and the carpets looked very dirty. Check in and check out was very easy. It’s a bummer that the hotel doesn’t offer parking, but it wasn’t difficult for us to find parking very close to the hotel.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, comfortable and rooftop area was a plus. Was able to walk to concert venue nearby and felt safe especially being out in the evening. Nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Pleasant stay.
- 5/5
It was a really nice room very clean. Highly recommended would stay there again.
- 5/5
The room was amazing, good hot water in the showers. Loved the code for every area of the hotel, even to get into the building. The area is a little rough, it is downtown LA. The staff, though limited contact, was very sweet. The rooftop bar was beautiful, had lively nights with LA locals, but the drinks were subpar and very expensive.
- 5/5
Carpet room was very dirty. Good location. Room was super small. My view was another person room?? I dont understand how they can get 4 stars???
- 5/5
Staff was great Nothing to complain about
- 5/5
Yes good drink, music and good customer service from the bar staff
- 4/5
Stayed one night since we were seeing a show at the Orpheum Theater. Very convenient location for that. Room was a little dated and loud, but not terrible. The price was the best I could find, so you get what you pay for a suppose.
- 3/5
The room was quiet and dark for sleeping. It was fairly comfortable. But the laundry area, gym were not open. They are under construction. But the frustrating bit was not having hot water for a couple days in my stay. I used the texting with virtual frint desk. Nothing was addressed. But when I was frustrated I updated the actual frint desk. When I arrived back it had been fixed. So if you have issues try to use the front desk staff if they are present.
- 3/5
We booked a double room but only received a single when we got there. This made our trip uncomfortable. Also the open bathroom was not comfortable for people sharing the room together as there was no barrier to hearing bathroom noises and smells. There was a window in the shower, which was also very open to the room. The window could only be blocked by a cloth shade that had to be pulled down as the chain was broken.
- 5/5
Excelente servicio en recepcion
- 4/5
Otherwise, everything was great and the rooftop bar was excellent!
- 5/5
Always a great stay at Stile. Thank you!
- 5/5
the rooftop access and parties i loved the DJ .The room was so cool the carpets need to be changed but the aesthetics was amazing .
- 5/5
Cool location and great room with balcony. Very cool rooftop set up. Would absolutely return
- 3/5
I like the virtual check-in and checkout.. also like the passcode features to enter building , elevator and room..
- 3/5
The room felt like a concrete box. The "unfinished" look did not work. There was very little light and what there was was absorbed by the dark decor. Bare concrete ceiling, a wall that looked like it had just been installed, no artwork... Also there was a high humming sound in the hallways and the room. All in all a disapointing experience.
- 4/5
Good to stay when no bands is playing. You can hear the bass late in the night. Otherwise, great location and very boutique.
- 3/5
It was a Friday night and it’s very close to a nightclub which played music all night. The room had ear plugs provided. We picked this because it is walking distance to the Belasco Theater so that was perfect. There’s a cafe attached but it was closed Saturday morning but free coffee was provided on the counter there. The staff was friendly. The elevators were kind of slow and one was out of service. The room is small but clean and the vanity and shower are exposed to the room so little privacy there. We knew what to expect in a downtown building and it served its purpose being so close to the theater we had tickets for.
- 5/5
A clean room, nice hotel and excellent ubication near Downtown!
- 2/5
The toilet was clogged, shower water was not hot enough. The carpet was dirty. I didn’t feel comfortable. I understand is downtown but overall didn’t seem clean inside or out.
- 4/5
It was fine
- 5/5
Central area
- 4/5
The staff were amazingly helpful. Their texts/emails were fully guiding. The hotel is very well managed. It is indisputable. The property is in the heart of downtown, but if you do not have your car and do not want to spend a lot on taxi or Uber, it is not convenient to explore the area on foot. I did not feel safe walking or on the bus.
- 5/5
Coffee shop
- 3/5
Yes,staff was ok,but AC was not good, we had no water from 11:30am to 3:00 pm

Hotel
- 5/5
Amazing stay! Lovely place, would absolutely recommend!
- 5/5
Hotel was truly awesome. Staff were great and location was in center of LA . Will come and stay again for sure.
- 4/5
Other than that, place was great. Could use a bigger ice machine and water dispenser.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helped up get an early check-in which was much appreciated!
- 4/5
Walking distance to LA nightlife venues like the Orpheum. Drawback: no on site parking, but there is a secure covered garage (with overnight parking) that is walking distance. Good value, would stay here again.
- 4/5
It's in DTLA so that should explain the area you're in but the hotel is safe and very pretty. Our room was wonderful and clean and the bed was comfortable. The down side is there is no hotel parking, they use a parking lot around the block and walk your way back. I would recommend this hotel just be careful when you're outside.
- 4/5
Staff and lobby were great! Elevators weren’t working so guests had to share the service elevator with cleaning crew. It was frustrating getting in and out of my room and having to wait 10 mins each way up and down. The room itself was okay. The bed was damp, I’m assuming from freshly laundered blankets. The door to the toilet was stuck and I broke two nails trying to open it. Seemed as it was stuck with paint and no door knob to pull it open, just a small ledge to try to hold on to. I needed a great amount of strength to open it every time. The toilet kept leaking all night and it was uncomfortable to sleep next to the sound of spraying water in the tank every 10 mins. Other than that, great stay.
- 1/5
I ended up booking a room at the Moxy for my entire trip.
- 4/5
The place over always very clean on the inside and nice. The rooms are a little bit old, which is expected with an older building like this. Overall would give four out of five.
- 4/5
DTLA is really terrible, nothing they can do about that. Room was moderately clean but they seem to have taken the industrial chic aesthetic too far and the room was pretty unattractive because of it. Staff were great.
- 4/5
Removed one star because parking is $40/day and it's a huge unexpected expense. Besides that, the room has thos cool open concept bathroom and an unique decoration. The bed is super clean amd comfortable. Pool pictures with the great building architecture is a must and lots of walkable places to eat.
- 3/5
The place is fine. Staff was fine. Cafe and Restaurant next door never seemed to be open. Elevators weren’t working much. Carpet needed a good cleaning and the shower didnt work well. The tile has mildew in the grout. It’s apocalyptic outside on the streets but this isn’t the hotels fault.
- 5/5
Great place to stay nice staff ez check in and out definitely recommend very welcoming great location right by nightlife and food
- 5/5
Lovely hotel, room and bathroom was perfect - the elevators were out of service and therefore was long wait to use the service lift.
- 3/5
Kinda ghetto spot
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Cool hotel
- 5/5
Stile is like my second home, I love it there
- 1/5
The Hotel if ya want to call it that was All Automated. Different Codes to enter the Hotel, Elevator, & Room. Super Inconvenient & confusing. Room didn’t fit Description & Photos on Website. Carpet in room was filthy. Zero customer service. Disappointing Overall. Coffee Bar/Restaurant closed.
- 3/5
Lots of construction and an elevator that went out for our arrival to the 11th floor...
- 5/5
Clean facility
- 2/5
The rooftop bar plays extremely loud music (shakes the windows) until 2am even on weeknights. There are two guest elevators and one was down the entire time, the second broke two times in the span of my four day stay. Also be advised that you are given a code to your room and you have to use that code in the elevator to access the different floors and it is very visible to others that are in the elevator with you. Overall it seems nice and convenient for the price, but if you value sleep/have to wake up early for work I really can’t recommend.
- 4/5
Room was fine - kinda strange that the toilet isn't in the bathroom. And there was no door where the shower is. But overall it was good.
- 5/5
My experience great! I read a couple reviews of TikTok so wasn’t too sure but when I got there it was super clean, friendly, and extremely easy to access. It was super quiet and felt so comfortable.
- 1/5
I did not even stay in this room. It was completely disgusting
- 4/5
The room was decent, reminded me of a dorm. Bed was kinda hard, but nicely located in downtown LA. Barnyard door on the bathroom. I would stay again for the price.
- 2/5
very very very noisy. and parking is 40 dollars a day and no one mentions that. everyday there was a new breakdown water the elevator the pool. the only contact to a manger is by text. its a frustrating place stay. I would have moved out if I could.
- 1/5
Expedia listed this property as a 4 star - it is a 2 star. Our room was filthy with stains on the carpet and wall. All the furniture has permanent blotches on it. The beds are positioned with their footboards pressed against the wall - a most claustrophobic placement. This is a horrible property. I complained to the hotel and to Expedia and was moved to a suite which was better but I spent 2 hours complaining. Save yourself the trouble and stay away.
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
The experience was pretty good. Although i did like the Electronic way to get into the room, it helps with not having to carry a key card all the time. The front desk doesnt do much to help out. They do have a 24hr texting line that is quick and easy however they can barely help you with most things. Youre on your own in this hotel.
- 5/5
The hotel was major cool and industrial type vibes for DTLA. The room was perfect small size, platform bed, huge TV and great cool room, perfect for a solo traveler like myself. The front desk staff like Michael who was beyond AMAZING, helpful, professional and courteous, Frankie also was great and just everything else. I came to LA this time for work that was going to be somewhat stressful (I lived in LA for about 10 years and just moved back east about a year ago, so I knew the place and area). But Thanks to having a great hotel to stay @ and feeling like any questions or issues I had I was taken care of, it took that stress down by an 8 (lol). I will be back over and over if it stays this way. EB
- 5/5
Nice central location. Clean and great staff.
- 5/5
Good location quiet and clean. Good customer service
- 4/5
Overall safe, comfy, nice view, convenient public transportation!
- 4/5
Good interiors, but the streets outside are not looking good…
- 1/5
UNsafe
- 1/5
I’m very sad to have to report that I had a terrible stay at this hotel for a handful of reasons. Tiff
- 5/5
Stayed in the presidential suite. Immediately added another day when I stepped into the room. So cozy, so much natural light, bathtub TO DIE FOR! Def adding to my staycation list
- 4/5
The carpet was stained in different areas and the furniture was well worn. The bed was wonderful as well as the bathroom. If they removed the carpet and installed vinyl flooring , that would make it so much better.
- 5/5
Very cute, basically in the heart of downtown lots of restaurants available in a walking distance and the Victor was truly amazing and helpful!
- 3/5
Noisy, felt older
- 3/5
The bed and sheets felt substandard, my “king” room was cramped, and the layout was unfriendly. Staff wear no uniforms or name tags, making them hard to identify. The listing misleads: it’s a 20-minute walk to Crypto Arena (not 15), and many “nearby” stores are shuttered or for lease. CVS is closed, and the whole area feels derelict.
- 4/5
Liked the hotel.
- 3/5
I stay in hotels very frequently, and this was the oddest hotel I’ve ever been in. Very sterile feeling, we joked that it felt like we were staying in a prison cell or dorm. The whole vibe is supposed to be industrial I suppose, but it feels cold and sad. The furniture and room set up is drab and unusual, the bed is very low to the ground and the mattress is very thin and firm, we struggled with comfortable sleep. The shower has no curtain or door, and if someone in the room uses the toilet you can hear everything lol. We were on a high floor and there was a dance club or something going on above us and the super loud music went pretty late and kept us up. There’s not obvious signage for the place either. Location was fine, and it was clean…just not our style at all.
- 5/5
It is a cool hotel. The gym is top notch, the rooftop pool and lounge was really neat after a long day of work
- 5/5
Excellent customer service and accomodations. Very let friendly. Bar/coffee shop had challenging hours that didn't work well for our time so that was disappointing. Rooftop area was great! Rooms were clean and overall quiet, some nightly noise but to be expected in such a large city.
- 2/5
Hotel is run down - overpriced! No housekeeping- at least get the garbage cleared out.
- 5/5
really nice hotel and really nice staff, overall it’s a really good place to stay
- 1/5
Bad housekeeping, dirtry carpets dark area in the entire hotel feels unsafe.
- 5/5
Great stay - terrace was fantastic.
- 4/5
No parking spaces you have to pay on your own. And the hotel was nice, but the bathroom was unpleasant
- 3/5
The location of this hotel is surrounded by urine soaked sidewalks, filth, and a few dead rats along the way; including one at the entrance. Combined with the complete lack of staff on-site, are reasons I will not return. Shame on the city of Los Angeles for the disgusting environment and shame on STILE by Kasa for offering no human interaction.
- 5/5
I would stay there again
- 5/5
Walkable and close to other location
- 3/5
This hotel is located in Historic Downtown, an area going through gentrification and there a real mix of old vacant derelict buildings, new buildings and restored buildings. Lots of graffiti everywhere. Our room felt like it was made by putting up walls in an old office building. Carpets were old and stained, windows are original. Beds were comfy. Common areas are ready for a refresh.
- 4/5
The hotel room was absolutely amazing. One of my favorite stays based on the hotel room only but there was only one elevator working so it took awhile to get up and down. The parking was not bad but I feel like we should be able to get a discount for staying at the hotel.
- 5/5
Bed was very comfortable safe place to stay nice place to stay at they even had activities on the rooftop
- 4/5
Clean WHITE BED SHEETS
- 2/5
The style of the room looks like still undergoing construction, no door on the shower and no outlets for multimedia devices. Also very loud noise on the street that you can hear from any room.
- 5/5
Too many crazy people
- 5/5
Loved how rooms were designed - very industrial warehouse feel. Very reasonably priced for downtown LA
- 5/5
We’ve stayed here now two years in a row for kcon! It’s our favorite hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The staff is always very nice and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. It’s not too bad of a walk to the conventions center too so it’s a perfect place to stay! We will always come back here each year for kcon!
- 5/5
Nice spot
- 5/5
I loved your gym
- 5/5
We loved our room with the balcony. Really liked the building features, and the rooftop bar and pool are great.
- 4/5
It’s a great location especially if you like to walk around in the day time. The staff was super polite and helpful!
- 4/5
The ac and fridge are on a movement sensor so if you aren’t in the room they won’t stay on and the fridge doesn’t chill very well at all. The bed is a little more firm than I like but the bathroom and shower are super cool and the room isn’t bad at all. Especially for the price point and location.
- 5/5
Nice view and close to downtown attractions and restaurants
- 4/5
The price was exceptionally good, room was no-frills which is fine and being an old, art deco building, the walls are thick and it was very quiet. I did not access the rooftop pool/bar area as this location seems to cater to a younger crowd. This part of downtown LA is full of wonderful old architecture and convenient to mass transit options, but dining options are very limited. I would stay here again if I had to attend a function in this part of the city.
- 1/5
Horrible , you guys lied about check in time
- 2/5
We Make reservation for 2 nights we stay only one and we have to move to other place , Bed super uncomfortable and outside my door was a lot of noise but strong noise working in elevator using hammers and drills etc ,
- 5/5
10/10 perfect
- 4/5
The room was clean and tidy, we received lovely sheet masks for free. The shower continued to drip water throughout the night despite turning the knob completely off. I liked that the building was pin entry only, gave a greater sense of secuirty for the stay.
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Nice properly, helpful staff
- 3/5
Smooth check in online and everything, but the elevators were down for the entire stay. The one elevator was working but would take a long time to service all the guests.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 4/5
For the hotel room, there was no hand soap, the main lights didn’t work and at one point both elevators were done. Parking is an absolute nightmare. People’s cars get broken into all the time as it’s DTLA
- 2/5
It’s not as it looks in the pictures! Rooms are pretty small and look old. Lyft don’t work most of the time.
- 1/5
This place is awful. It’s very old and the hallways are dark. There are no phone’s in the room, and the room looks like someone from the 70’s last stayed there. The tv is on a side wall perpendicular to the bed so you have to sit in a strange way to see it, and also have to strain your neck. There was one elevator working that took about 10 minutes to get there and by the time we left, we had to use the service elevator, and that took over 20 min to get down to leave. The coffee shop had missing items all weekend to make actual drinks besides a latte. The carpet was disgusting and dirty and you don’t want to take your shoes off while walking around in the room. There were no channels to watch on the tv, and the furniture looked like it was in the 60’s-70’s, along with the carpet. And it wasn’t the “style” or decor, it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned or redone since the 70’s. No chair to just sit on in the room and the room was small. We were happy to have a bathroom in the room and not a communal one. The whole room is overall awful and the location wasn’t good. Prostitutes everywhere and people walking in to go to the “club” upstairs which was not a nice place. Nasty people there and trashy. Don’t go out at night. We will never be staying here again. The photos in the app totally were photo shopped. Don’t waste your time or money here. So many better places to stay in LA. Will NEVER return.
- 3/5
My stay was good but there were some things to note here. 1-2 elevators was down so there was only 1 working elevator which was rouhgh because the 1 that was working took a long time to come to the floor that was called so I had to use the stairs to go to the 4th floor where my room was. The shower in the room was open to the room & see through so it wasn't enclosed or private. I'm 6 ft 3 & the bed in the room was very low to the floor which was a bit odd, the lighting in the room wasn't great either & the room could use more lighting. There was also no iron or ironing board in the room to iron clothes which some hotels seem to have & some don't. The hotel is also right in front of a very busy street & it is quite loud but at late night time after 11:00pm it got a bit quitier as far as street noise during the sleeping hours.
- 4/5
Great stay. Sleazy area. My daughter was harassed by street people....still too many prostitutes with pimps running the streets.
- 4/5
Nice place. A little different from the pictures online.
- 2/5
The shower is open and in the literal middle of the room, no privacy at all. The door to the toilet has a big gap in it. Frankie at the front desk however was very welcoming and nice. The rooftop is also beautiful but the food wasn’t great at all. Convenient spot for where we needed to go though. I just wouldn’t recommend the room if you’re staying with friends… more like for couples.
- 1/5
The hotel was very outdated, the room had a carpet very filthy.
