Reviews
The hotel has received mixed reviews, with some guests praising the cleanliness, staff, and location, while others have complained about noise, breakfast, and hidden fees. The hotel has undergone renovations, but some guests have noted that the rooms are still outdated and in need of repair.
- Cleanliness
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Noise from neighboring rooms and outside
- Breakfast was unsatisfactory
- 5/5
Friendly staff and very close to Crypto Arena! Clean and the little coffee shop they have in there is super cute!!
- 3/5
For the price, it was good. I would rate the hotel 6.5/10
- 4/5
Staff was nice and rooms were well kept and clean. It was price friendly and convenient for concert areas near by🙌
- 5/5
Great price and place for family, large rooms
- 5/5
Was a perfect stay!
- 2/5
The staff did not five us the wifi info. The front did not answer the phone. There was not any hot water - had to skip shower. It was terrible.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and maintained. They have the basic amenities, coffee machine, fridge, wifi, cable, dryer adn even an iron and ironing board. The surrounding area is ok but not very clean. they have parking garage with security, They have a cafe shop in lobby. They had a reasonable pet fee
- 5/5
Tengo muchos años de viajar a LA por negocios y este hotel me parece muy bien. Buena ubicación buen servicio y las instalaciones están muy bien. El personal es muy amable y servicial. El parqueo es un plus.
- 5/5
Haaaaated the front desk robot. Other than that it was fine
- 5/5
Estaba súper limpio
- 5/5
Muy buena, excelente recomendada
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was nice. There’s a nice Mexican restaurant down the street. The garage lot is a good space but there is also more parking right across the street. Super content and would def book again
- 5/5
I had a clean room.
- 2/5
Looked like they removed the Ramada sign and put the Live sign up and reopened. Only a few basic maintenance upgrades. I couldn’t even take a shower in the dingy shower. If I was not on a business trip and was with my wife I would have left to a different hotel. Please actually spend some money to upgrade this place.
- 3/5
The “live hotel”was good for the area that it’s in the pool is nice the parking is very tight the price shouldn’t be as high as it is being that you’re in a neighborhood with dogs barking all night/day the elevator can hold 4 people at a time it doesn’t state weight size just the amount of people that can be on the elevator every where we went was close by
- 4/5
Stayed for a quick 1 night. Rooms were clean and spacey. Parking is a little tight, they did make us park in a lot across the street but it did have security. The neighbor isn't the greatest but the hotel was nice. I would stay again.
- 5/5
Close to venue
- 1/5
Live Hotel is a bad hotel. It’s in a bad location. Staff was not helpful and has attitude. Will never stay in this hotel again.
- 5/5
Super clean 👌
- 4/5
Worth the price, could not figure out where the pool was located.
- 5/5
Muy buena
- 5/5
Staff was great Definitely I would stay here on my next visit
- 4/5
Hotel is in a bad area.
- 4/5
Room was very clean, however the smell of the cleaners in the room was very strong. The guest in the top floor were very active at night time. Making really hard to sleep.
- 1/5
The smell and the lack of cleanliness
- 2/5
Checking was through a kiosk which was impersonal and everyone could hear about my stay since there wasn’t a way to turn down the volume. While the room was spacious it smelled a bit musty.
- 3/5
Not the most honest establishment - One of my packages was kept in the office and opened. The front desk agent had to search for it eventually finding it in the Managers office opened. Also, I booked the extra night because my flight left at midnight and I did not want to be at the airport all day. On checking out early their “ system” charged me $116. FOA could not explain why, thank goodness my bank alerted me to the charge and I was able to have it returned same time.
- 4/5
Good water pressure, a fresh updated interior, and daily room cleaning. Parking was paid, and the hallway light right outside the window made the room too bright at night. The pillows were small and uncomfortable. The area still feels like it is in an early stage of gentrification, with some homelessness nearby. The property felt somewhat old overall and too expensive for what it offers.
- 4/5
We did think the hotel was decently cleaned. Our beds were comfortable. The pillows were small. Parking garage was tight for bigger suvs. The check in was weird with the computer. There was one night that it was very loud.
- 4/5
Your handyman on Saturday morning was very helpful and kind to me.
- 5/5
Great spacious room that was clean daily and just a nice place to come to with an affordable rate within Los Angeles.
- 1/5
Bathroom and breakfast were not great at all . Bathroom had black mold and the breakfast was not a breakfast . She didn’t want to make a iced coffee and she didn’t want to make oatmeal or a side of bacon and sausage
- 3/5
Just fine for a quick stay.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
Distance and friendliness staff
- 3/5
The breakfist not included
- 3/5
Room was clean. But dogs barking a lot!
- 4/5
This is a good place to stay for just setting up a base camp to adventure throughout parts of California. Pool was not the greatest. The staff was friendly but did not provide all the information needed for our stay. A prime example would be that there is additional parking across the street. We did not discover that until day 3 of our trip. Cafe in the hotel was really good.
- 2/5
Although the facilities are outdated, I think the staff do a good job managing the place. The Korean woman serving breakfast was especially kind, and it was really wonderful. The soundproofing is terrible—I can hear every little sound from the next room. There seems to be a crazy old man who yells from the roof in the middle of the night almost every day; please do something about it.
- 4.5/5
Very interesting layout with a different feel for each area (poolside, fountain side, old style long hallways, pool room, coffee shop in lobby). Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced parking available. A 15 - 20 minute walk to concert venues. Restaurants and convenience shops in the area. Nice coffee chain in the lobby. Definitely recommend this hotel. So minor but the hotel’s printed information indicates the pool opens at 10 AM so I figured I wouldn’t have much time to swim before the 11 AM checkout but it turns out, based on the sign on the pool gate, it opens at 9 AM. Would be nice if they’d correct it in the hotel info. doc or at least say so at check in. Again, so very minor but a bit annoying. And if you’re reading this, well, now you know. :) Overall, if you’re hanging in this part of LA it’s a very good and pleasant place to stay.
- 1/5
I stayed in room 335. There was bedbugs in my bed when I woke up. I called down to the office and asked for a manager to come up. Waited 15 min and called down again. They said they told management. Here is the thing, for me to have actually SEEN the bugs means that they are not new, AND the reaction makes me feel like they have heard this before. To be fair when I went downstairs they provided me with trash bags for my things, were very apologetic and were agreeable to me requesting a refund. I just feel like if this was a surprise, someone would have been up there to assist me immediately. I know if it was my hotel I would have been distraught over it happening to my guests.
- 5/5
It was amazing Thank You! 5 stars!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
- 4/5
My room was small but sufficient. I would stay here again
- 1.5/5
Staff was very friendly and room was clean. Location! It is not good area and I was not feel safe walking in the night. Be aware before you book this hotel because there is no refund and this is why I stayed one night only.
- 2/5
the picture is accurate.. but a bit misleading... it thought the hotel was next to LA live... but its not..
- 5/5
Nil
- 2.5/5
Location, closeness to venue I was attending. The smell, the room had thrash in the refrigerator and other areas. Felt uncomfortable relaxing with the thought of the room being unclean, contacted front office but no one got back to me.
- 2/5
Pm front desk clerk was very helpful
- 5/5
Muy buena
- 5/5
My stay was great. Very clean hotel.
- 4/5
The room was nice and clean. The hotel parking was easily accessible, and the staff was very accommodating. The coffee shop in the hotel was nice when it was open. For the most part, it was a fairly safe area with lots of cultural diversity being near Koreatown, and the property featured very interesting, unique architecture. The pillows on the bed were shaped like throw pillows and were rather uncomfortable. Showerhead had very little water pressure, and you could hear gunshots at night, but it is downtown Los Angeles, so that is to be expected.
- 5/5
No breakfast
- 5/5
It was a decent stay I will definitely booked again
- 3/5
Fair enough for the value
- 4/5
It’s OK area I came really late. It was a virtual personnel didn’t like that, but that was the only thing to have.
- 5/5
Clean, clean, clean! I can't say enough about how well maintained and clean the property was. I booked a king room, and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were a bit lumpy, but the room was clean and orderly. The shower had great water pressure. The amenities were typical hotel soaps, nothing fancy. The room was kept cool with a great working air conditioner. The balcony was a comfortable hangout. The laundry was $4 per wash and dry, but the machines were clean and easy to use. It was a bit loud at night with the sounds of the city, like cars driving by and helicopters flying overhead. But that's to be expected in LA! The staff was friendly and polite. Overall, the Live Hotel was an excellent choice, great price, clean and safe! I felt comfortable staying there and I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean, affordable, and safe environment.
- 4/5
Hotel is located in rundown but quiet area. The breakfast option at hotel is not eatable. You are better of going to Farmers Market or somewhere else.
- 3/5
The location was fine. I felt safe. The reason for the lower score was because the primary reason for choosing this hotel was they're having an outdoor pool. Unfortunately, there was no indication that it was an unheated pool. The water was freezing. The entire plan was to have our grandson spend some time in the pool with us each of the days we were there. But after the first day he did not want to go back. The water was so cold. He didn't enjoy it at all. I didn't either. The room itself was fine, being quite large and beautifully kept up. However, for a 5-day stay, it would have been nice to have a dresser of some sort. As it was, we ended up having to live out of our suitcases.
- 2/5
The staff was friendly and the parking and pool were great. The only issue was the room and hallway smelled so badly of garbage and old cleaner it was difficult to fall asleep at night and walk through the hallways without covering your nose. It was almost as if someone accidentally dropped old garbage in the hallway and the smell stuck. It was very gross unfortunately.
- 5/5
Nothing extraordinary but I had 24/7 access to assistance with any needs. A/C was solid. Parking was good. Area around doesn’t look great but the property itself felt safe. Overall good experience
- 5/5
Safe area to stay at! Bed was comfortable to sleep in and bathroom was pretty clean! We appreciate having a coffee spot in the lobby.
- 4.5/5
All good
- 3/5
The room was clean and decent, but the hotel staff let guest have parties in their rooms, and doesn't matter how many calls you make to the reception they will not do anything. There was a room party thay started at 3 am and lasted until 6:20 am. Yes, it was so loud thay woke me up and wasn’t able to go back to bed, then had to catch a flight at 7am that morning... worst stay ever! Dont even try to stay with kids, the staff also allows guest to be super loud and yell the N word al all times!.
- 5/5
The staff were excellent and treated me well. The hotel was clean, well kept and welcoming. The coffee shop is in the front of the hotel which makes it easy to get coffee and something to eat. The Polo Loco across the street is good too. The room was clean, the bed was nice, the internet was easy to connect to, and the service was excellent. The neighborhood is very urban which can't be changed, but the owners/operators definitely do their best. Thank you for the taking care of me while at your hotel.
- 4/5
Mediocre condition, and somewhat sketchy feeling surroundings. Was pretty clean and smelled fine in room. The little Tom N Toms coffee shop off the lobby was solid.
- 3.5/5
The room was clean, but the property itself was a little too outdated for me. Definitely did not like the area. Lotta homeless walking around. Too many homeless people hanging around
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Rooms are clean and comfortable. The area itself isn’t the best. But the parking garbage feels safe so I don’t worry about my car and I don’t usually just walk around the area so it’s fine.
- 3/5
Very loud knocking on the second floor at 3am that was constant for 10mins
- 3.5/5
I didn’t like that some of the info on the app didn’t match the info that was given to me when I checked in. 1) parking is $16.50/night not $11. 2) there is NO complimentary breakfast.
- 5/5
Over all friendly staff, clean room.
- 4/5
Helpful employees
- 5/5
Solid hotel not far from downtown LA. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Grass areas for the pets to use the bathroom and I didn’t like the fact of blow dryer was broken and doesn’t go high heat
- 3/5
Regular en todo.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and provided daily room cleaning.
- 4.5/5
The location is great, offering a clean and quiet environment that feels relaxing. The Live Hotel is also close to a variety of local restaurants, making it easy to enjoy the neighborhood. If you’re planning to visit other cities, getting around will still be very easy. Uber is widely available and usually arrives quickly. This makes traveling between places straightforward and stress‑free.
- 5/5
The room was remodeled and in a good condition
- 5/5
Female staffs were very caring; male staffs were fine
- 5/5
Thank you all
- 5/5
Muy buena
- 5/5
Love the homey feel and staff were very patient n help full on late check out
- 5/5
It was a nice, clean and safe place to stay
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
It was OK a lot of noise during the night
- 4/5
The desk staff were helpful. It was mostly a peaceful atmosphere, except for when a wedding reception we weren’t warned about happened (that was very loud). The location was very convenient for getting around. A favourite drink was the ginger tea from the coffee shop.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Didn’t look anything like the pictures. Parking is horrible
- 2.5/5
Fast booking The parking
- 5/5
I had a really enjoyable stay at the lab. I was very pleasantly surprised
- 5/5
The evening clerk, might security, and cleaning staff were all excellent.
- 4/5
Clean room staff nice could not figure out WiFi not complementary breakfast
- 4.5/5

- 5/5
The staff was pleasant and open. They answered quickly when there was a strange noise coming from the ceiling
- 4/5
It’s a nice place. The cafe there is so cute and so good! The rooms were good.
- 5/5
Very good room. Everything was great. Parking was a little challenging.
- 5/5
Muy buena
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff. Safe and convenient location. Not too far from downtown or the dodger stadium.
- 4/5
It was a nice overall stay
- 1/5
Three nights is was kept awake by the noise coming from the lobby until 3 am by rowdy teenagers and an unattended front desk. The fourth night my neighbours got into a 3 hour long fist fight and continued even after I had to call security. The hotel then refused to extend MY reservation after I already paid for the night. I had been staying for a week. No customer service. Dangerous neighborhood. Unethical.
- 5/5
Great location, close to everything
- 4/5
Clean linens, semi remodeled rooms, loved the balcony feature
- 1/5
Every thing dirty have bed bugs and stains everywhere
- 5/5
Note that the parking is very tight in the garage below the hotel, and it was easier, having an SUV, to park across the street in their lot. I was directed to and used the Virtual Assisted check in machine, and although he was difficult to hear at times, the process was smooth. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and well-equipped; my kid enjoyed the pool. We appreciated the second parking lot across the street, as the one under the hotel was tight and usually full. The staff did not speak much, but were very efficient and responded to all our requests immediately.
- 5/5
Honestly I can speak about the cleanliness. This was great. Staff was great but through a video monitor lol. My fist time doing this honestly pretty amazing fast and efficient
- 5/5
Tom N Tom Coffee onsite is nice.
- 4/5
The room and staff was nice..
- 5/5
Muy buena y cómoda
- 4/5
This hotel is in a great location. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance. There’s a coffee shop on the ground floor. It’s less than a mile from crypto.com arena. The pool area is decent. The hotel rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. And the prices are reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
The room was clean but beds too small and low
- 5/5
Everything was good about this hotel but I was never able to access the Netflix and the air conditioner started leaking. Staff were super friendly especially housekeeping. Hotel was nice and clean. Only complaint is that Netflix was not working and they couldn’t get it to work, it was our anniversary and one of the nights we wanted to relax and watch movies and air started to leak and it became a bit humid the were able to fix.
- 5/5
Pool was clean, there was an area to chill and hangout, it was clean and area was safe!
- 5/5
Pool was little dirty. But overall nice rooms and location
- 5/5
Muy buena
- 5/5
Very clean everyone is super friendly
- 5/5
Nice stay at The Live Hotel. Clean room, friendly staff, and a convenient location with Crypto.com arena nearby.
- 3/5
The room I booked was NOT the room I was given.
- 4/5
The room was really clean and the beds were comfy the only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the sink drainage was pretty clogged and took a while to go down. When I took off the little cap to see if something was stuck in there, there was a lot of hair in it. Other than that it was really clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again
- 4/5
staff was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. The room looked out into a hallway so I wasn’t able to get light, air and privacy at the same time, it was a bit dark. Not my favorite hotel but with parking and being pet friendly and having a great staff it got the job done.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay here , very clean and organized place .
- 5/5
Muy buena.
- 3/5
Room was okay. Didn’t have the best ventilation and everything seemed a bit old. Coffee shop downstairs is nice. Overall area is kinda ghetto, loud music at night and dogs barking.
- 2/5
4 pillows, 4 bricks to sleep on. First time I complain about a pillow? The Motel-like layout means most rooms overlook a central plaza, making the rooms quite noisy. Bring earplugs & eye mask. Relatively expensive for the standing.
- 2/5
Staff was great, outside facility is great, room was not. Only a couple very small square pillow, not enough towels, no soap in the shower, and stain on chairs .
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, staff was patient and helpful, and the room was fantastic. The location is great and easily accessed. I will definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Clean room, convenient parking. Close enough to walk to Crypto.com Arena. Kind of a sketchy area but it is very secure and safe and I would stay again.
- 5/5
Muy buena, recomendada
- 5/5
Xcelent service
- 5/5
Easy check in and out, clean and spacious room. Staff was wonderful!
- 5/5
Excellent experience rooms were clean, comfortable a definite revisit
- 5/5
Muy buena.
- 4/5
Very nice rooms at a lower price than others I’ve been to. Secure feeling, you’re not walking through large areas of parking lot to use amenities, everything’s indoors.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful; designated parking, room was quiet. Check-in and check- out super smooth.
- 3/5
Need to clean batter
- 3/5
I’ve stayed here before and didn’t have the same experience I had this time. I got in late so I just wanted to sleep but my bed was SO hard I could barely sleep. Besides that it was just an ok stay.
- 5/5
It's very nice, clean, self parking easy and safely, this is a nice experience
- 5/5
Clean room, location

Clean, Affordable, Accessible

- 5/5
Great staff. Clean rooms with nice views, area is, well old LA ibut the hotel is a surprise. Will surely stay again.
- 3/5
Room cleaning was not good and towels are isn’t clean there’s still have dirty spots left. It seems it wasn’t laundry at all maybe just drying only?
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was very courteous and willing to assist

The location, the pool is so dirty, and all night we heard all neighbors around who was partying and laughing. The walls are like paper, no privacy, and I didn’t feel safe there.

The room was very clean and staff were kind and friendly.

- 5/5
Hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly
- 5/5
One thing to let visitors know is that it takes a pretty long time for the hot water to start coming out of the shower (over 5 minutes), but other than that everything was great for the price.
- 3/5
Great stat
- 5/5
Muy buena
- 4/5
Great staff. Room is always clean and everything works and are functional as they should be
- 5/5
Clean room nice staff...
- 1/5
This hotel for sure is not a 3 star hotel, even a motel 6 is 4x better then this one. Rooms are to small, beds are really tiny and hard, pillows are like bricks, and it’s not clean at all.
- 5/5
Very clean, staff was friendly, and parking in gated area was very nice.
- 4/5
Everything about the attention from the staff and the room cleanest was good the only thing that take out points from the hotel is the area is really sad full of homeless people, dirty streets and the parking space is not enough on the property but they have another lot across the Street but you sleep thinking if your vehicle is going to be ok the next day.
- 5/5
Muy buena
- 5/5
Clean, spacious room and the staff was very accommodating! Parking was very full at the time due to an event happening at the time and the staff was very helpful in showing other lots that we could park at.
- 5/5
Clean room, bigger than other hotels I’ve stayed at. Queen beds are actually queen beds not full. Had a mini fridge which was a plus! Loved our stay there
- 5/5
Stay here for a festival at the convention center. We stayed in the king deluxe room. Very clean! One of the house keepers saw me struggling with my bag so she came to help me take one to the elevator, which she didn't have to do and i thought it was so kind of her. Wish i would have had cash on me to tip her good. I would definitely stay here again! And if i see her next time... I will make sure to bring cash 💸 💰
- 5/5
very nice set up with a cute courtyard, very clean and cozy thank you!
- 4/5
Stuff is nice, space is good. Just a little bit noisy outside because my room is facing the street . The windows couldn’t block the noise
- 1/5
Bad smells, no facilities, no breakfast
- 3/5
The hotel was conveniently located and was central to everything I had planned for my trip. However there was a dead spider on the floor in our room, and the mattresses of the beds were hard and uncomfortable. The room was spacious and the check in/out process was easy and quick. Additionally, the staff was very accomodating in allowing for us to have a later check out time.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
Muy buena, y cómoda
- 4/5
The room was clean and very nice. Check in and check out was easy !
- 5/5
Vanessa welcoming attitude was extremely awesome. We walked in and she was ready to check us in early and answer any questions. We had a horrible experience at a hotel in Orlando, every hotel thereafter has to meet my son’s approval. He says the minute you walk into the lobby that’s how you know the stay will be. Thanks again Vanessa and I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
- 5/5
Knowing the area, you can never blame the property. So with that being we were truly pleased with The Live Hotel. We we in town for a tournament at the convention center, which is a quick trip by Lyft. Parking garage had a 6'6 Height Clearance but they do have additional parking across a residential sized street, not a major road. With our SUV that was a safer bet. Rooms smelled their age but looked great with modern upgrades. Comfortable bed. Amazing shower!! The coffee shop Tomtoms in the lobby is a must and a great amenity. Other than easy check in, cheap and plentiful parking options, and convenient location. We will be back.

I did mention all of this at checkout and the front desk person waived our parking fees. But I still don’t have my pillowcases - only used hotel ones. And we ended up spending $20 a day at the coffee shop because we couldn’t get coffee for the room that worked with the machine in the room.
- 5/5
Muy buena
- 5/5
Room was great, location was perfect close to everything but not in the midst of the chaos. Will definitely book again!!
- 5/5
The riom was spotless and the staff was very friendly and helpful 👍
- 5/5
Our room was upgraded at no charge, which was a sweet surprise since we were celebrating our anniversary. Parking was easy as well. The bed was comfortable, bathroom had just enough space, and room was relatively quiet besides occasionally hearing the maid cart roll through the hallways during the middle of the day for room turnover, which wasn't an issue for us. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends/family traveling to LA. Location was a short drive (20min or less with normal traffic) from we wanted to do around West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Thai Town, and Koreatown.
- 5/5
Nice staff decent rooms

Staff was great and got a free upgrade upon arrival!
- 5/5
Nice looking hotel. Simple but clean. Lots of parking space fo $16 daily. Lobby restaurant has nice breakfast options. Good restaurants around the hotel. I will stay there again
- 4/5
Very clean, nice remodel! Just wish there was a microwave inside the room instead of in a public lobby simply because half of the rooms are in a separate yet attached building which makes it tedious to reheat or make food
- 1/5
This is the worst most unprofessional most expensive hotel in Los Angeles . Do not go out after dark in that area . You might get shot. They over charged us twice and its more than the best 5 star hotels in downtown . My daughter became so ill there with one of the worst flu and cold I have ever seen. They accused us of causing a leak when we heard the maitenance man they sent in with out our permission and i heard him say to his colleague over the radio that everything was fine and clean . I later found out that there was water pouring onto first floor . Im sure ny dayghter got so sick like this . There is always mold where there is water . I will tell the rest of this horror story with terrible front desk man Juan and inapproproiate rude Vanessa .

Nice staff and the location feels very safe. Only complaint was that there was a few hairs in the bathroom when we first arrived, didn't feel super dirty, but kind of off-putting. The walls are also very thin. Could smell smoke from other residents and hear people around talking late at night. Otherwise would book again!

Muy buena

Nothing short of a headache experience. Booked a night for Camp Flog Gnaw but then dates got changed. I requested to have my booking changed to the following weekend. I never asked for a refund just to change the date. They still charged me my stay and took my money. I would understand if I wanted a refund but I still wanted to book a night with them. Hope you enjoyed robbing me and I’m sure others as well. Looks like I’m booking next weekend somewhere else!

Nice little hotel in Koreatown. We stayed for the proximity to USC. Clean, upgraded rooms. Enough room for our family of four. Electrical outlets need some work- a bit loose.
- 5/5
Great find! Clean, looks like they just updated the rooms. Very nice! Will stay again!
- 4/5
Clean room, spotless
- 4/5
The rooms were nice and the staff were really nice, my friend was woken up in the middle of the night by security knocking on the neighbors door. Area is a little rough.
- 4/5
Staff friendly and acommodating, professionals. No complimentary breakfast but Tom and Tomms Coffee Shop was amazing. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Rooms have no dressers or actual closets which was inconvenient. Room had a small area to hang clothes but only 3-4 hangers provided. Had to keep most everything in my suitcase during my 3 night stay. Overall it was a great stay, comfortable bed, decent shower and bathroom as well. I will stay again if I ever visit LA.

Loud noises from outside and from other rooms
- 2/5
Lots of noises from people moving cart up and down the corridor at 2am.
- 2/5
The hotel was not very clean, the beds are like bricks, and smelled like mildew.
- 4/5
It was ok. I did see a hair on the bathroom floor
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff. You need to pay for breakfast and
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location and room very clean above expectations. Thank you so much!
- 3/5
House keeping was great! My room was always clean and well stocked. Tom Tom's Coffee with baked goods and sandwiches was yummy (not included with room, but definitely worth it). Front desk people were kind and helpful. The property has charming architectural features, but the elevator walls are scratched up and main area carpets could use a refresh. It's not a very walkable area, so I took Ubers everywhere, but that's probably the same for all hotels in the area and downtown, as well. I felt safe in the hotel but wouldn't walk around. For the price, it was an excellent value and fit my budget.
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
Room have to be renewed
- 3/5
Staff was great. Rooms seemed outdated and my lights were on a timer and kept going out on me.
- 5/5
It was a nice hotel with all amenities and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

- 4/5
Convient location. As advertised for most part.
- 1/5
I already stated previously I was locked out of my room for an hour and couldn’t get any one to help .
- 4/5
Parking is convenient, even though was always full we managed to find space, there was another lot across the street. Rooms are very clean and well kept. The area around the hotel feels not as safe at night. The elevator was very outdated and small. Overall a good hotel.
- 4/5
The only thing was the toilet paper holder wall screws were loose and it kept sagging.
- 4/5
Something else
- 5/5
clean and modern, so nice in an area of busyness in center of downtown LA
- 5/5
Muy bueno
- 3/5
Rooms are very small and beds were super uncomfortable.
- 4/5
The hotel was fine. The room was updated, staff was nice. The parking on property is limited in the garage area. The overflow which had plenty of parking was across the street in a gated lot. Im just glad I found a spot in the garage the neighborhood is very sketchy. Lots of homeless and homeless camps in the area. Definitely not a walkable area to people from out of town.
- 5/5
the area wasn’t the best but not much was expected from dtla but the rooms was very clean and we had no issues
- 5/5
The parking was safe and on the premises. The staff members were very personable. I enjoyed my stay and it was central to the BMO concert I attended and other activities I did. The room was clean and classic. Love the basic amenities fridge, microwave, coffee maker, safe, iron, blow dryer. Would definitely be back to stay at this place.

- 5/5
Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, security on site for parking, small parking lot and cafe with great bakery! Enjoyed my stay and I’m a picky girl.
- 1/5
Did not use the parking nor the pool, and stayed one night. I requested a refund the desk said NO. Not safe for me as I am 75 and alone. WORST PLACE EVER AND VERY SCARY! Almost fell in the tub, so slippery without warning and hardly any soap so NEVER NEVER AGAIN. Please tell me how to get the money for SATURDAY, SUNDAY MONDAY because I only stayed FRIDAY.
- 3/5
The front desk staff that checked us in was really friendly, and also helped with a cleanliness issue. We walked into the room and there was a big stain on the comforter which they replaced with two extra. It also appeared to be a cigarette burn in the mattress underneath the sheets? The front desk staff on our second night wasn’t as friendly, and he spoke to us like we were a nuisance and like he didn’t want to be there.
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing, i loved everything about it and will definitely come again.
- 1/5
Not what I expected at all. The AC really didn’t work. The entire room was on a slant.
- 5/5
My room was great and i will definitely stay here again
- 1/5
Charged me $75 fee for early check in . However I only stayed for 6 hours and checked out Rude guest service
- 5/5
Way too hot and musty when we first entered the room, but adjusting the temperature back down was fine. Staff were friendly and accommodating and breakfast was nice.
- 5/5
The ai check in was different.
- 5/5
Will definitely stay here again! Staff was amazing! So is coffee shop!
- 5/5
Room was nice and cold!
- 5/5
The check in staff and even the virtual check in dude were all great and friendly. The room i had was very spacious with a double bed. It was a very quiet stay as well!
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. My request prior check in was considered.

Super bonito el hotel y super limpio, lo recomiendo, y los de recepcion son amables y atentos a todos.

room didn't match the pictures AT ALL.. wasn’t too bad but it wasnt the room we booked. it looked like a completely different hotel :/
- 4/5
Hotel is great, staff was super helpful and nice. Room is cleaned daily and hotel is updated and nice. The area it resides it is a dump, which is a shame because I loved the hotel.
- 1/5
Room wasn’t nothing like the picture,
- 5/5
Very nice hotel! Room was very nice and was able to check in early before 3. Parking was easy and cheap compared to other hotels. Very nice for price. Loved the connected coffee shop in the lobby!
- 5/5
This hotel and they staff is very friendly and helpful, I do recommended
- 5/5
Todo bien
- 4/5
Room was clean, updated nicely with nice bed and comfy carpet. Staff was great during check in and check out. Area is a little scary but it’s LA do to be expected, inside the hotel felt safe. The only real complaint is the elevator being old, but overall experience was good. I will be back for future stays
- 4/5
Everyone was friendly
- 4/5
The hardest part was unloading luggage no dedicated area to unload during check-in and check out. Otherwise it was exactly as advertised, good staff at desk.
- 5/5
Coffee at TOMTOM’s, great beds. Will stay here again
- 4/5
3 night business trip, was great. Friendly staff clean hotel and location was great.
- 5/5
Excellent location and reasonable price.

Had pool ..laundry and cafe in lobby The only thing its just not in best area for walking
- 4/5
It was a good room
- 5/5
Excellent customer service from every employee the entire time very pleasant!
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Area was safe and accessible to all the places we wanted to visit.
- 5/5
Very good value
- 5/5
staff was very kind and helpful. room was nice
- 5/5
Loved my stay!
- 4/5
The location was convenient for me as I wanted to go to Crypto Arena for a concert. The parking was a plus but it cost 15 dollars daily and they may run out of parking near the building but you can park across the street in a gated plaza. The area is probably n out in their control but it does feel a little dirty and there are some people who are homeless around. For someone not from LA, this made me feel unsafe. Overall the room felt very nice, the safe was very nice and helpful at all times. It’s nice to also have coffee downstairs in the morning.
- 5/5
It was great! Customer service was awesome especially the live virtual assistant. The rooms are very nice and updated, has all the necessities. The bed was so comfy and pleasing with light fixtures. We had a balcony view and it was pretty to have. The quietness was definitely there, very peaceful. The only con is you have to pay for parking and the lot is pretty small and tight. Everything else is worth it!
- 5/5
Our room had convenient access to parking, but we didn't discover it until we were checking out. Be sure to ask how to get to the garage from your room.
- 5/5
Stumbled upon this place by accident after an unfortunate experience at the motel 6. Theres a great coffee shop connected to the lobby, they have luggage storage even if youre not staying at the hotel. Cute pool, amazing rooms. Our room has a view of the fountain and sitting area outside. The surrounding area is not the best but the hotel is a gem close to bus stops, 7 eleven, mcdonalds and again the coffee shop, Tom Toms downstairs
- 4/5
The room was clean but small. The staff was amazing & the coffe shop was an added plus!
- 4/5
Friendly staff during check in and check out whether it was in-person or virtual experience. Overall, it is a convenient location and a decent hotel
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 1/5
Long wait times and only one person to checkin
- 5/5
Great experience
- 4/5
Area wasn’t the best and very little parking in the area around the property but room was clean and staff was friendly!
- 5/5
While the property is located in a busy area of LA unfortunately also populated by unhoused encampments nearby, the property offered a safe and quiet respite from the hectic pace of LA. Parking is secure, courtyard area rooms quiet and clean, and the rooms well appointed.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was always wonderful. Tom and Tom’s coffee was great
- 5/5
KTown and DTLA are both super close as well. The attached parking garage is very convenient. The area around the hotel looks a little sketchy at night but inside the hotel is fine.
- 5/5
I stayed for 3 days to drop off my daughter at USC. The live Hotel was just 8 minutes to the campus. Very clean, bed was comfy. It was quiet and it was very safe. The car was left inside their garage and it was safe. This will be my hotel to stay when I come back to visit my child.
- 4/5
The quality of the tiny soap and shampoo they provide sucks, recommend bringing your own. Doors could use more soundproofing. WiFi speed around 10 Mbps, mostly stable with occasional hiccups. In-room TV supports Chromecast. Shower walls and curtain look new or clean but the tub itself looks old. Water temperature is good, shower pressure is not great but is acceptable. No problems parking, the gated overflow lot across the street has plenty of parking spots even late at night. The pool is in an enclosed 2nd floor courtyard. It’s clean and the depth ranges from 3.5 feet in the shallow end to 8.5 feet in the deep end. Sunbathing deck chairs around it. On the ground floor there is a coffee shop that has coffee, flavored lemonades, boba tea, a few pastries, some bottled juice and yogurts, but no “real food.” Next to the coffee shop there is a spacious and comfortable seating area with tables.
- 5/5
The Live Hotel is an oasis in DTLA. It’s a short ride to USC. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Property was great just a bit of a dodgy area of LA
- 5/5
Staff are friendly and nice. Location wise, is not the most convenient as there is not much within walking distance.
- 5/5
Walls too thin you can hear everything, I got 2 rooms and the safety door had about 1.5 inch clearance from the floor with no door runner or nothing to cover the gap
- 5/5
Everything was good, but maybe comfier pillows are needed
- 5/5
Ease of checking in and out
- 5/5
Centrally located
- 4/5
It was the perfect place for our needs. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable. The location was amazing; quick drives to any and all places we wanted to go...venice beach, Griffith park, hollywood highland, BMO concert, Grammy Museum, various "towns", food options, etc. Only 6-28 minutes away. We could walk about, but wanted to do a lot in limited time, so chose to drive. Being *in* LA, it was suprisingly quiet. The option to have on-site parking was totally amazing. The garage can feel a bit cramped, but the locked gate parking area across street was great, and TomToms downstairs was a comfy place to start the day. The building itself is a nice combination of older motel (creaky elevator, simple room with slightly small feel, mini fridge and microwave, hairdryer etc) and nicer hotel with really nice even elegant updates (brass banisters at stairway, carpeting, artistic lighting, virtual assistant, cafe dining.) Really appreciated the affordability, location, and staff. Of course there are homeless around and some serious pockets of such, but it's the city. We were able to sleep soundly without worry, so... We will be staying there again if we head back that way.
- 5/5
I was looking for a place to stay for the weekend. I took my daughter to a concert at BMO Stadium. Not that far of a drive and it was close to Koreatown which we love to visit. It was a nice stay just for the night and then back to San Diego. Definitely will stay here again whenever we come back to LA just for the weekend. Staff was very friendly and I was a bit surprised with the virtual check-in process it was super easy communicating with the staff member at the kiosk.
- 5/5
I liked how secure and close Parking was.
- 3/5
México city
- 5/5
I really like how quiet the area was and how spacious the room was
- 4/5
Friendly and welcoming staff in a good, clean hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking around the area at night time.
- 5/5
I have stayed at The Live Hotel many times over the past couple of years and have a great experience each time!
- 4/5
The hotel is centrally located, yet surprisingly quiet. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. While the property could benefit from some updates, it served our needs well—we had a comfortable and restful stay.
- 4/5
Room is not big, but very clean. People staying there seem decent. It is convenient to have onsite parking, even with a fee. Area around the hotel seems a little sketchy, but it is quite understandable since it is close to downtown. On the other hand, because of its central location, it is about 15-20 min to anywhere, which is quite nice.
- 2/5
Our a/c broke the second night we stayed and we came down to concierge for help after even trying to replace the remote’s batteries ourselves to make sure it wasn’t an easy fix. When we went down, maintenance said they’d have to move us to a different room and we were never helped again after he asked concierge to help. We roasted for the rest of our trip. On top of that, there’s a huge group of people with their noisy kids constantly loitering around the lobby and in other areas, throwing garden rocks and making noise late into the night. Parking was a MESS because these people brought more cars than available spaces. We even paid for parking and had nowhere to park our one car. Nothing was done to help with the an/c issue and despite our first stay here being great, this second stay may be our last. We were refunded for parking but with this negative experience overall, just $60 back for 3 days/nights of our trip being too hot because of a broken a/c is not enough.
- 5/5
Great hotel and even better staff all around !
- 4/5
I don’t like that the parking cross the hotel . It is unsafe to walk from parking plot to hotel.
- 4/5
It is in a very dirty grity area of Los Angeles wich makes it so we wouldn't come back even though the hotel is nice.
- 5/5
We just stayed the night but everything was great! Wish we’d been there longer so we could have enjoyed the pool. But location wise, it was perfect! Close to downtown!
- 5/5
The staff was excellent and the room was great!
- 5/5
Beautifully renovated hotel, spacious lobby, Salvador at reception desk was friendly and very helpful. Gave us a great recommendation for a nearby Thai restaurant (just across street and delicious!). Room was clean, large, and quiet despite being in busy urban area. Had all needed amenities (coffee, coffee pot, microwave, hair dryer, small fridge). Breakfast at Tom &Tom's in lobby was delicious and there are outlets by every table if you want to sit and work in the coffee shop. Only negative is the bed pillows which were decorative but hard to sleep on due to feeling like lumpy foam. Would stay again, but bring my own pillow.
- 4/5
Close to downtown
- 1/5
The room was not given as advertised
- 3/5
The staff is excellent. Although the hotel is in a rough area, the main areas such as the lobby, courtyard, and pool were well kept. The downfall to the stay was unfortunately our room. It smelled like a set-in odor which was a combination of pet and wet clothes that weren't properly dried. The smell was set in the carpet and I believe is also stuck in the vents. The hallway leading to our room smelt the same way. Fortunately, this can all be fixed. Had it not been for this, I would've rated our stay at 5 stars.
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
The breakfast spot inside is not included, but so good! Definitely recommend the breakfast sandwich. The lobby is clean and has a nice feel to it. Staff was friendly. Downsides were: the blinds aren’t really blackout, despite being newly renovated the AC in the room was really loud…we did not have a great nights sleep. The pool area was a little dingy. *We checked in using a kiosk (with a video chat front desk attendant). It was a smooth check in but we would have preferred to check in with one of the other two front desk personnel who were available. Just personal preference though! Overall it was a great stay!
- 5/5
I was comfortable and so were my crazy cats. I watched terminator 2 on the tv. It was great
- 3/5
Our positives: parking is $15 a night either under cover if there's a spot or outside in a locked parking lot, the hotel was pretty quiet at night, the cleaning ladies were super friendly and always left our room super clean.
- 4/5
Great service
- 5/5
I loved staying here and would again for AX.
- 5/5
Rooms clean, staff nice, price is good location perfect
- 5/5
The room: bed was comfortable, it was a remodel and it was very nice. The bathroom was my only concern would be that the tub needs some type of handrail just incase someone slips. There should be some type of slip resistant grid in the tub. There was a microwave, refrigerator, coffee set up with pot, TV, A/C, patio. They do have a pool but I didn't have an opportunity to go see it. Overall my experience was great!😃 I recommend this hotel to everyone. I will be back!!🤗
- 5/5
I enjoy staying here every time. The staff are friendly and the rooms clean.
- 5/5
Nice hotel and accommodating staff !!!
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Great place with delicious coffee shop with breakfast. Would definitely stay again
- 3/5
The pillows were weird and the pool area was not inviting
- 4/5
Clean and remodeled rooms. Small and limited space. Good for just sleeping, not quite for hanging out. More of a motel than hotel. The third day, the water didn't heat in the morning - disappointing. Area around not the best. Thought I'd walk to downtown from here, but took rideshares instead because I wasn't feeling very safe.
- 3/5
The noise from other guests (literal screaming music at 2:30 AM) made it very hard to sleep. Overall the staff were really pleasant though.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
It was a very pleasant stay. Check in was super easy and the cafe in the hotel had decent options too. Parking was easy as they have a small garage attached to the building and an additional lot just across the building if needed. The room was nice and clean as well. The bed was fairly stiff but that doesn't detract from my experience. Id stay here again.
- 4/5
The hotel is clean and quiet with friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed out two night stay and found the location to great for Dodger Stadium and other local attractions.
- 5/5
I stayed at the LIVE hotel for a couple of weeks, had 3 different suites, tbh there was nothing to complain about. Loved it. Staff front desk excellent, maid service, the best. Room size, better than most. Very clean, updated rooms, i can go on and on . Ill book there again.
- 5/5
Rooms looked brand new, super clean. Staff were very professional and nice. We were able to check in early. We had a little leak problem with our aircon but maintenance guy fixed it very quickly. I’ll definitely book again in the future!
- 5/5
the property is nice and clean. the staff are very friendly
- 3/5
The hotel looked like it had recently been remodeled. Staff was friendly. The only thing i disliked was that our bed sheets were stained.
- 5/5
Clean, easy parking with a fee and close to places to eat and only a 20 minute walk to downtown (crypto.com arena etc.)
- 5/5
Amazing stay and really sweet staff. The virtual assistants were very sweet too.
- 3/5
It was okay , lots of unwanted traffic and hanging out in front of the hotel. Customer service was great. Just not in a desirable area.
- 5/5
As a solo traveler I felt comfortable arriving late at night and staying here. Moses checked me in; he was knowledgeable and helpful, I’d gladly stay here again.
- 3/5
Staff is amazing. Security Guard is amazing. But the establishment itself? Sub par. Shower is old & had low pressure. Heater didn’t work. Room was so small. I anticipated on another person staying with me & I’m glad they didn't because it would’ve been too crowded. Overpriced. Not even close to worth $189. This something I would call a luxurious motel.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
It was at a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed how there was a virtual staff at the front at all times to assist with check in and check outs. The only thing was that the parking stalls can be limited and need to park across the street.
- 5/5
Always an amazing experience!
- 4/5
super cute
- 5/5
Last minute booking to start the night in the city, clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Definitely going to return on my next visit. Great price, cheap parking very clean and quick and efficient check in/out
- 3/5
The pictures are deceptive. The description stated there was a patio(there was not) and I was originally placed in a smaller room until I complained. The property looks nothing like the photos but it is clean. I only saw one staff member during my entire visit (3night stay) and there was a virtual host. The housekeeper was prompt with providing towels and other toiletries and the one staff member was polite. My rating would have been higher if the description wasn’t deceiving.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and the people were very friendly and helpful!

Big suite. Clean. Area is questionable but we didn’t leave the property. Wish parking was free.
