Location was ideal. Close to U of L and other restaurants. Size of room was comfortable. Couldn't close curtains in living space. Table and chair was jammed behind the door. Was hard to sit while trying to enter the bedroom. Furniture configuration should be assessed.

The rooms normally would have been around $1200 total so what expecia charged since it was graduation weekend should be illegal! The hotel staff was great but it needs real maintenance. Overall rooms very worn. Expedia should not take advantage of college graduation to overcharge by so much! We booked 5 months before graduation.

I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Hotel. As a graduating student, I found the company's lobby decorated and welcoming. I felt appreciated, and I loved the courtesy shown by the hotel staff.

Housekeeping staff kept knocking on door between 10 am -12 pm to see if we had checked out — even though we had recorded a late checkout of 2 pm Hotel had set TV to turn off every 2 hours — though We were in the room watching it Breakfast bar was awful: juice machine broken, no water available, pathetic fruit bowl, limited choices. I have seen better at a Sleep Inn. Hotel was NOT at Marriott Standards.

Very convenient to Liberty University. Mall close by and endless restaurants close by as well.

The plastic separator at the edge of the carpet was completely loose. I tripped over it. Room smelled stale. Only gave 1 roll of toilet paper. On the upside, the bed was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms and kitchen area were clean. Breakfast buffet was breat.

Overall ok. Not so great because ww were next to the laundry room and our room was shaking as a result of activities. The sports channel and internet did not work all the time

Air conditioner did not keep the room cool enough during the day, other than that it was great!

It was a good centralize location It seemed new but not well kept. Things were falling apart and it wasn’t cleaned well from the previous people who seemed to have pets so our allergies were flaring up

The bathroom had not been cleaned and furnished to what we had experienced in other Residence suites. All other amenities were well received. The bathroom was not cleaned and not prepared to Marriott standards.

Great location Bathroom was dirty - vent has half and inch of dust. Shower had pink slime/ mold all over the place. Shower floor was dirty, need to be replaced.

If I’m back in this area I would definitely stay at Residence inn again.

A little bit of maintenance would go a long way. A couple of very small issues prevent me from giving a 5 star.

I was thankful for the friendly staff and clean room. The suite was absolutely gorgeous and the cooking stove was very nice to have along with the full fridge.

The room was large and very clean. Great little kitchen - though we didn't use/need it - it was a wonderful addition. Hotel was a very quick walk across the street to a mall. Hotel had very nice outdoor seating near the pool with firepit, seating and overhanging lights. Nothing that we didn't like

The mattress in our room, 219 was worn down. It was too soft on one side and the other side wasn't much better. My husband's back was bothering him after the 1st night. We did inform the front desk when checking out.

I like everything about this hotel. It was a great location, especially since I'm not from the area. The staff was friendly, and I did the online check-in, which was a breeze. The room was clean and the most comfortable sleeping. Breakfast was the best of any hotel I have stayed in during my travels. I will definitely stay here again when in this area. My only dislike was the entrance is on a hill where cars pop over the hill, and you can not see them until it's too late. You really have to be extra careful entering and exiting the place.

Property with Nice and clean. The rooms were large and spacious with a refrigerator microwave and sink in them. Customer service was wonderful. The free breakfast in the morning was extraordinary.

A lot of dust in the gym and in the room. Would have liked it if it was a little cleaner. Bathroom shower wasn’t cleaned and toilet was dirty. Customer service was good!

The room was very dusty and the dishes from the previous guest were in the dishwasher. Only 1/2 a roll of toilet paper in the room for 3 guests. Housekeeping is definitely lacking. The hotel was conveniently located and would stay here again if we are ever back in Lynchburg.

Located across from the mall and conviently located near Liberty U and restaurants. Booked a 1 bedroom suite and it was very spacious! Cozy lobby area to do some work and get out of the room. Front staff was very nice. Honestly, there isn't anything I could think of. They didn't have extra sheets for the pullout bed already in the room but that's not a big deal.

These units are larger than a standard hotel with a nice kitchenette and couch area. The bed was a bit lumpy but overall our stay was great. We will be going back. Very convenient to Liberty University.

Everything was enjoyable except for two things.. i had to use.the dryer and they barely get hot.and the price of breakfast is ridiculous. Other then that , room was great and.showersand beds were excellent

There was a person working at the front desk who had short, curly hair, and they did an incredible job helping us get settled in with everything we need. I can’t say enough good things about their service. Dealing with an unexpected influx of folks due to power outages and still giving each person individual care and attention is above and beyond. Give this person a raise! :)

We enjoy this hotel a lot. The breakfast is great but it could be better if they switch it up sometimes. We normally have to switch rooms due to not being clean. We have stayed here a few time. The employees are super kind and they always remember us when we come back😊. The rooms are very spacious. The snack store is very affordable. The manager was very understanding and kind

The wifi wasn't free

The hotel is within walking distance to the mall. The Mall has excellent dining and shopping options. The hotel is a bike ride or car ride away from Library University. (Go Flames). We did have one issue with being double charged, which was corrected. We also had an issue with maid service and a bug problem but were comped for that. Overall, the hotel is clean and an excellent choice.

Fast check in easy extension to our stay — Cons: The rooms (we had two) we extremely dusty and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks Also some day the room simply was made up either. It was quite disappointing for the price

Having the mini kitchen was great, as was the full-size fridge. Highly recommend packing some microwave popcorn if you’re planning a night in. There’s a microwave in every room! The included complimentary breakfast in the morning is top-notch, including good quality, coffee, eggs, sausage, potatoes, grits, fruit/cheese, yogurt, and many pastry/bread products. The staff that attends to the breakfast station is very conscientious, Even coming around 10 minutes before closing to make sure that nothing else was needed. Would definitely recommend staying here if visiting a Liberty U student, or anytime in the Lynchburg, VA area.

A friendly welcome from the staff. The room was very spacious with a sitting area and kitchenette. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was also very spacious. Huge shower which was very good. Everything was very clean. There was no restaurant and the staff recommended a restaurant off the shopping mall which was walkable. Breakfast was very good although we got there late and there wasn’t much available. Overall a good experience.

Hotel was great for the price and I would stay again. There is a big shopping mall next door to the hotel, but really nothing else of interest. You need to drive to get anywhere of leisure interest.

Clean and very friendly. Only issues i had was the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom was partially broken, pool was out of service, and elevators were scary. But having the basketball hoop was a great amenity! Shopping is very close!

I was very upset along with other people staying. The pool had a sign ot was closed for the rest of day but the sign had been up for days because the paper was wet and dried. Also was told they needed to shock it then the next morning was told they would have to get a pool person to look at the ph balance. There was a dog in the room next to us that barked all night long. The worker that was manning the breakfast would stand and constantly stare at guest for periods at a time. Also once we got their to check in we had to wait for like 5-10 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check us in

Everything was good until we got home and my husband had some type of bug bites all over him. He was the only member of our family to have them, and we think it was from the couch in the sitting area because he was the only one that sat there at night to watch tv. Room was spacious and breakfast was fair. They ran out of waffle spray and said “ that’s all for today. We won’t be getting any more”. Beds were fine for the most part and big bathroom. But silly complaint, the doors to the rooms would not stay open without propping with something.

The location was convenient, the landscaping is well done, the breakfast was fine but the hotel needs refurbishment. The upholstered chair and sofa in the living area were dirty, stained and well worn. The faux wood on one of the tables in living area was peeling off. The remote for the tv was missing the battery cover, etc.

Like everything, but the police, fire, ambulance siren's was a bit much every night. Our room was on main roadside so i understand hearing them.

We stayed in a 2-queen bed suite. The kitchenette was very helpful for my family. The bathroom had great lighting and a nice shower. The beds were okay (just not the same as my own). It was pleasantly quiet (not hearing neighbors).

When we walked in at 10PM to check in, the first thing I saw was a family playing cards in the very nice common area. I knew this was going to be an excellent stay and it sure was!

Very nice hotel. I don’t know much about Lynchburg so I was pleasantly surprised by the availability of such a nice, reasonably priced, pet friendly hotel. Conveniently located in the LU area. Suite was relatively large and very comfy. Will be my hotel for future stays in Lynchburg

Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was not so great. Amenities missing. Hair in shower stall. Pull out bed was ridiculously uncomfortable. Will stay elsewhere next time in Lynchburg.

Perfect accommodations for our family while in town for a our niece's wedding. The boys especially enjoyed the basketball court!

We requested a non pet room but there is no such room here. My wife had to wear her medical mask throughout our stay, which was not very comfortable. This was not a solution to the problem, just a band-aid! The sofa had pet odors, as well as the room. The AC vent and Bathroom vents had noticable dust accumulation. If you have alergies, this is not a good place to stay. We expected more from a Marriott affiliated property, but we were very disappointed.

I’ll be honest, when I travel, I usually stay at an Embassy Suites. But, since there was none in the area, I went with the Residence Inn. I was pleasantly surprised! We stayed in a king suite, which had a separate bedroom, which was great because it gave some division of space between us and our kids. It had a full kitchen, which was also an awesome feature. The room was clean, housekeeping offered daily. The fitness center was well equipped. Breakfast was pretty good, with a decent spread of options, hot and cold. The common areas were kept clean. The desk staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves out in Lynchburg in the future.

Room given was not vacuumed and bath-toilet dirty. 2nd room was just ok - cleanliness. Noisy area. Pool area wasn’t neat or clean. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. I wouldn’t stay again.

We had to change rooms three times. Each room was filthy. One of the rooms looked like the bed had never been changed. Couldn’t even call the front desk because the phone was broken and parts of it destroyed. Even the room, the final room they put us in wasn’t even clean. Horrible horrible experience. Even at breakfast some of the food tasted bad and off.

I was under the impression that this was a suite with separate bedroom and living room but instead I ended up sharing a sleeping space with my brother and his wife.

We were invited to a formal event in the Timberlake area so this hotel was closest. Check in was simple and the hotel had a beautiful sitting area in the lobby although it was too small for a gathering other than immediate friends or family. As we entered our room we noticed a less than pleasant smell. It was a combination of age and dampness. The air conditioning was not working as it should so we were given a fan to compensate. I don't remember the site informing us of a kitchenette but we had one. The desk was large and had space to accommodate a large flat screen television on a swivel so that we could watch from the sofa as well as in bed. The commode had an issue and the bowl did not fill a couple of times but we were able to fix that hiccup ourselves. The iron was broken and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adaquate but there was no bacon. Overall we enjoyed our stay but I don't think we'll use this hotel ever in the future. It seemed more condusive for someone on a business trip of some duration.

Awful breakfast ends at 9:30 am, and at 8:50 am, we requested the breakfast items to be replenished, and they refused to make more items. My son only likes the potatoes, and they would not replenish them, saying it would take too long. Peyton, the manager agreed with their refusal. This is sub-Marriott standards. If breakfast ends at 9:30 am, properly maintain and supply breakfast until 9:30 am. Also, the room is full of white dog hair, all on the couches, the lights in the kitchen are blown, the window curtains are torn, and the branches are scratching the window constantly. This is day two of no resolve! Awful stay!!

1st room dirty and the bed sheets had not been changed, trash in the trashcan etc. Told the front desk and they gave us another room. 2nd room also dirty, massive amount of hair in shower, drinking glasses dirty, dishwasher not unloaded, dusty and sticky kitchen floor. The next day we noticed unprofessional/unfriendly cleaning staff wearing sloppy everyday clothes. Breakfast was advertised to be much more than it was. No breakfast meats, there were instant eggs and other things that were prepackaged. Breakfast lady in sloppy clothes. For the price of this hotel I expected the service to be much more than it was. The construction is newer and very nice. But the work staff seems to not have been trained. They should be outfitted with neat and clean uniforms, not sloppy clothing, which can reflect a lot. I was told I would get a partial refund. Ten days later, I needed to get on the phone with Expedia for an hour and do it myself!!! Therefore I felt that I must give others a warning, and also hope that upper management at Marriott can understand how they are failing the reputation of this establishment, by not teaching or holding the staff to higher standards and probably underpaying them. With all this in mind, Residence Inn by Marriott Lynchburg is at least double what the price should be per night. I won't stay here again.

Are check was great. Rachel at the desk was friendly and helpful. The gentleman working nights was friendly as well, didn’t catch his name. Hotel was nice and relatively clean in the main areas though the room could use some more attention to cleaning cabinet handles and counters. Salt on the counters from previous guest. Handles sticky and greasy, above microwave sticky too. Shower is beautiful but water drains out real slow and you are standing in water. These are just upkeep things but overall it is a nice place with friendly staff. We would return. We were only staying one night if staying longer I would bring my own sanitizing wipes.
