Hilton Garden Inn Marina Del Rey

Check on was 3:00. We had to wait until 3:45 to get in. Had to ask for new towels and for our room to be cleaned, then they just made the bed. Front office staff was not friendly or helpful. We will not be back.

Pool and jacuzzi is super nice, rooms are big, beds super comfy. The cleaned my room almost daily even though it says every other day. They got great options for snacks, foods and drinks if you need when their restaurant isn’t open. Very helpful staff. A bit thin walls and ceilings. Luckily was quiet most of the time but I was woken up early morning by neighbours talking or walking around so bring ear plugs. Also hallway through door is very easy to hear so it’s not sealed too well.

Location and spacious rooms Carpets are very old and dirty. You have to pay $2 for paper cups in order to have coffee from a machine in the lobby. The coffee was awful. Elevator needs an update

The staff were lovely, the location for the Marion’s was great The beds were terrible, springs had gone and the dip down at the side. Bathroom needs replacing, worn tiles and handrail coming away from the wall

The dirt open parking lot next door wasn’t so bad however the machine wasn’t working. I paid but the receipt to put in window didn’t come out of machine r/t no paper in machine. The phone number on the machine gave me a parking lot employee who said they have no way to do anything about the lack of paper in the machine and I’d probably be towed by the city. 🙄!!! There is absolutely no other place to park close by. She said if I just get a ticket, I could try fighting it, but the parking lot company can’t supply me with evidence that I had paid for the spot. When entering, you add your license plate number. Just a TOTAL FUBAR.

Rooms were large and clean with great bathroom. Location is disappointing. Only one restaurant within reasonable walking distance. You expect a marina to be a luxurious waterfront but in reality this one is a bit of an outpost and it’s a good 15-20 minute stroll to the beach. There is literally nothing in the area to make it interesting or give you choice for food/drink outside the hotel. The rooms were quite a walk away from reception as the hotel is quite spread out.

We were allowed an hour extra for checkout( noon instead of 11am) but our room key stopped working at 11. There was a delay in a request for extra towels and pillows.

Staff was amazing. The room was super clean. I had a beautiful view definitely staying here again when I fly back to California.

The rooms were lovely. There was a noise issue in the room we were initially booked into and the front desk moved us without issue. It was so quiet and perfect.

It was a nice location, friendly staff, fairly quiet and decent size room. Being on the street side it was really loud also if you get two queen beds be prepared to freeze at night. One bed is right next to the AC unit and it’s very cold when it’s on.

The location was good for the purpose of our trip. Over priced. No room amenities. No couch. One out of place chair in the room. Fortunately we stayed only one night. We spent less than half the price for a better hotel on our trip. The $22 breakfast was very overpriced for the food that was available. Our room in building B was adjacent to an alley that was used by motorcycle enthusiasts all night long. My earlier stays were much more economical.

Location: Nice area. Hotel is perfectly between LAX and Santa Monica pier. Cleanliness; Hotel was very clean. Comfort: Rooms were great size for family.., Helpful staff: Very helpful attitude of all the front desk staff. All the ladies were very helpful. Parking height restriction and price...$32 per night feels expensive. Area behind hotel should be secured as it felt shady.. If possible Public parking should be made part of hotel parking.

Comfortable hotel and wonderful location. It's in a safe and walkable area, loved being able to walk around and explore. The hotel is very clean and had nice amenities. The staff was very helpful. We brought our dog with us. We received notice of a complaint about her barking for a few minutes when we left our room to go to the hotel bar our first night. We didn't want to bother other guests and requested a different room if possible. Big kudos to Kat at the front desk for helping us go to another room so quickly. So accommodating and helpful! Really appreciate her warmth and kindness. On our last night, we had stepped into the hallway for a few seconds and heard our dog bark and went right back into the room to calm her down and stay in for the night. We immediately got a call from the hotel there was a complaint about her barking. Not the hotel's fault, but the guests appear to have low tolerance for sound. I heard plenty of noise from other rooms but figured folks are allowed to exist in their rooms. The hotel staff were accommodating to us, but it made it hard to be comfortable and enjoy our trip knowing other guests were so ready to complain. We travel with her all the time in hotels and this is the first time we've ever received complaints. I wouldn't recommend bringing your dog to this hotel. The hotel is dog friendly, but the other guests are not.

We have stayed there before. Convenient location for us. Not far from the beach. Nice walking and biking opportunities. Pleasant and accommodating staff. Overall a good stay. The all in cost is never all in. No mention of the $32 a night parking charge until we got there. I don’t view that as an incidental!

The location is ideal for events and activities. There is easy access to the beach, to the freeways and to the light rail system. We used the light rail to get to Dodger Stadium (Union Square) and to get to So Fi. The room was extremely comfortable. We both thought the bed was the best hotel bed we had ever slept in, seriously. The vaulted ceiling in the cottage made the room seem gigantic. It was quite spacious. The parking was expensive under the hotel so we opted for the lot adjoining it for $9 a day, I believe. But the parking structure was virtually empty. Perhaps lowering the rates would get more customers to use it?

Great location, Mother's beach just across the street, nice restaurants nearby, Venice Beach just a little walking distance. We went to a Michelin Rated restaurant nearby.

The bed was super soft and warped. The room was okay and the front desk was nice. Strange that they charge $32 for parking when public parking which is just as close was $7. I also didn’t like that there was an additional fee that apparently I didn’t pay through Expedia. Otherwise, the room was clean.

It was a nice place to stay however for the price breakfast should be included. Free eaters should have also been included instead of charging for them in the room. I happened to have a noisy person staying above me so I didn’t sleep my first night at all due to hearing the person pacing for hours & hours above me. The staff were nice and the place was clean. We enjoyed the pool both days. I just think the price was expensive for the type of hotel.

My GPS brought me to the back. I had to drive around a few times, but when I got an understanding of the layout, it was good. The website should show the grounds and check in at the front because they have an outdoor parking and a underground parking garage. That’s my suggestion.

The property was convenient to my surgical center. The pool was closed and there was construction so I cannot evaluate the facility. Unfortunately the couple on the other side of our wall was loud, had 2 barking dogs, and slammed their door constantly.

Location is good and staff are very friendly, everything else is questionnable. There were insects in the bathroom, the room was tired and felt run down and the pool and hot tub were closed for refurbishment. Not a good vibe and couldn't wait to check out again.

The bed make a noise when you sit down. They moved me to another room, the same problem with the bed. The shower curtain had it a blood stain. The pool was getting renovated, since I booked through Expedia there wasn’t any information about the pool closure. Not what I would expect from a Hilton hotel!

i booked this hotel because of the pool and when we arrived with the kids they sqid the pool is closed and we have to use another hotel pool so if i do know that the pool is closed i never booked this hotel but overall the hotel was very clean and the staff are very friendly

An ok hotel for a few days ..

The property was nice but the water was off and the facilities did not work. We had to go across the street to another hotel to use water and restrooms. It was so horrible we had to leave.uncomfortable and did not enjoy myself.

My (or Mai?) made for a very welcoming check-in process and was delightful to speak with. It’s clear he loves his job and has a special talent for client facing hospitality and service. Please retain this employee at all costs. It made such an impact on the overall experience of my stay.

Great location near Marina beach and restaurants. Municipal parking lot right by hotel was cheap with in and out privileges. Breakfast was expensive at the hotel but there are other nearby breakfast spots.

It has been a hassle since day one, everyday they made me switch rooms I've stayed here for six consecutive nights so far and they just keep telling me that they're booked 95% and my room has been booked from somebody else five times out of the six nights. On top of that the rates are all over the place I have been charged one night $512 and the next night $330 and the next night $460. I am a Hilton honors member and the people at the desk know me by now hotels.com charged me $900 that they were funded thank goodness but somehow booked a night on top of the booking I made on site without my knowledge and I paid twice they have refunded me thank goodness otherwise I would be more upset but the staff and management seam unorganized and it has been at my expense.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in MDR. The Staff was helpful and made sure our bungalow was ready as soon as we arrived. It was Rose Bowl Week and the Hotels were booked solid. The new renovations looked very nice and welcoming. A very pleasant stay. GOD bless L.A.

Hotel was great but our checkin was a bit stressful when we were told we were marked as a no show due to being 3 hours late. I had advised we would be after midnight due to flight delay/ and those flight delays cause a 3 hour late arrival. But I had prepaid for 2 nights. It took quite a bit to sort it out. More time than I wanted it to take at 3:30 in the morning. A stressful end to a very stressful evening of trying to start our vacation.

It was the worst experience I’ve had since my many years using Hotels.com. The hotel room did not have a working thermostat nor heater. The room was freezing and we could barely sleep. I informed Heather who was the front desk attendant at the time and asked for another room, but was denied. She gave me a small portable heater, two breakfast vouchers, and promised me that the room would be discounted. I got very little sleep due to the cold however and could not wake up in time as the breakfast ended at 9am. The next morning she was gone and Ashley was there in her place who did nothing to accommodate. The discount that was promised by Heather was not honored, and they didn’t even offer another nights stay for a different occasion. Extremely dissatisfied with the stay. Just trash 😡

We booked a two queen beds room and it was spacious, but some of the facilities were a bit old.

Great location, friendly staff. Bungalow room was large and clean. A few things a-bit outdated, AC very noisy.

It was just a little get away, the front desk was exceptional (Ashlee mostly but all was great). The room was nice and clean, overall everything was great.

The staff was great! However the balcony door was literally right next to the dumpster, shower handle was broken, so barely had water to use in the shower. Room needs an update

I looked forward to talking to them and they made me and daughter feel like we were the only ones there. We came for the Olivia Rodrigo concert and this made it that much better. Will definitely be back to this property and would recommend this location to everyone who wants to notch service

Parking was extremely expensive on top of the stay. The hotel itself was nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very kind and helpful. There's a parking lot next to the hotel at a fraction of the cost to park at the hotel.

Lovely hotel but extremely noisy in our room at night. Intermittent loud fan/motor noise coming from possibly another room or ac which led to disturbed sleep all through the night. Was offered another room on the same floor which wouldn’t have made a difference

Overall had a great time, not the most updated place but staff was very nice and helpful. Location was great for us to get to LAX, beach, Siri, and both theme parks. Was also charged for 2 breakfasts when final bill came in had to call a few times but was taken cared of.

The walls are super thin too so you can hear the adjoining neighbours. The hotel and aesthetics are really good shame about the noisy room air con, door closers and paper thin walls

All is good in the hotel. Surroundings of the hotel unsafe. Saw a lot of homeless. Like the beach is close for my dog. Coffee you have to buy compared to other hotels we have stayed during out trip.
