The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and friendly staff. Many guests appreciate the remodeled interior and unique decor, despite the older exterior. However, some guests find the rooms small and the location noisy or in a sketchy area.

When I was on Booking website I requested a pet friendly motel. Central motel does not accept pets and they even would not allow me to stay there if my dog sleeps in my car parked off premises. Please issue a refund as I had to find a room in another motel.

Great one-night stay! In town for one of their clinics and needed a place for the night, this was perfect for what I needed. I am always concerned with cleanliness, but I was able to sleep comfortably!

I needed a place for a stop over. When I pulled into the parking lot I was nervous. It looked a little scary. I got checked in from a very nice gentleman. FYI: check inn closes at 10:00. We entered our room and was surprised how nice and clean the room was. Everything look Modern and refurbished with a full compliment of TV channels. Very nice for the price.
- 3/5
The hotel was not like the photos. The air conditioning unit was loud making it hard to sleep. Safety was a concern.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful, room were clean and wifi was good. Would stay there again.
- 5/5
Room was very clean! Courtyard had the most beautiful rose bushes I have ever seen. Room was perfect for our one night stay.
- 5/5
Cute roadside motel. Well maintained with a friendly staff. WiFi worked well and the room was clean. Would stay here again.
- 4.5/5
The room was remodeled and nice. It looks good on tbe outside as well. Nice and clean. The staff assured me it was a safe area. Some of the lamps were very bright. The cleaners they use don't leave the best smell and the location was a little iffy.
- 5/5
I would definitely stay again and recommend it!! Nothing

Nice, basic room downtown. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. We were one of just a few guests. Nice and quiet and met our needs. Would consider staying again if we are in town.

Clean room. Great stop to rest. Quiet
- 5/5
We stayed here while traveling with an infant and it was just what we needed! The room was clean and tidy, there was enough space next to the bed to set up our pack and play, the bed was nice and firm as well. The staff were very kind and courteous and the location is great for being able to walk around downtown without needing to deal with the car seat after a long drive.
- 5/5
Very nicely run motel for the place. Very clean, and some nice room design touches which made the stay much nicer than a motel 6. Recommended!
- 5/5
Some homeless people on the area so keep valuables out of site.
- 5/5
The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly, humble and professional. I feel obligated to share not only the positive in my review of my experience, but also the negative, if any. Having said that, the only negatives I can come up with are... Although I don't so much think they're negative, more like small annoying things but that I think I should mention. 1. Although free wi-fi is advertised and it is one of my few must haves, It kicked me off after about an hour and a half and I was not able to reconnect for the remainder of our 1 night stay. 2. Online, they offer free breakfast. There were no signs posted about it, that we observed anyway. No mention of it at check in or any info in the room about it. The office is unstaffed after 10 pm so I was unable to call once we were back in the room, after 10pm. Free breakfast is another perk I look for when booking a stay. No, deal breakers but bummers for sure. Would I still recommend this Motel to my loved ones? Absolutely, 100 %. Overall, we truly did enjoy our stay. 😊
- 4/5
Comfortable room, clean, and all amenities working. A step above other inexpensive roadside hotels.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet recently renovated. Close to the Craterian and Holly theaters.
- 5/5
The rooms are clean and efficient. I like the location and can walk through the old downtown section of Medford. I’m a repeat customer and will stay there again.
- 5/5
The bed was a little hard but for that price was can you expect
- 4/5
Modernized room, clean and close to downtown. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Pleasantly surprised to find this gem.
- 4/5
The room was impressive small but very comfortable and lots of amenities
- 5/5
If squeaky clean is your thing, this is definitely the place for you! Super comfy too.
- 1/5
I was turned away from this motel because they do not accept locals. I need a refund please. I ended up staying at Harveys motel tonight.
- 4/5
The room was clean and modern. Small tv which is fun and pretty comfy bed. Ok stay for what it is. Check in is a little weird but overall pretty good.
- 4/5
First room had an odor to it and the clerk happily placed us in a different room. Room was clean, plenty of hot water and bed was firm. Some noise from the adjoining room and street noise. Check in went well.
- 5/5
This is my third stay over the last couple of years. Inplan to return
- 5/5
Clean and modern. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was small but it has everything you need for an overnight stay. Easy to get to the airport and several dining options available nearby. Front desk was closed when we checked out so had to text when we left. I would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
The City Motel is a hidden gem. The manager was very nice & welcoming. The rooms appear to have been newly renovate
- 5/5
Very clean, super friendly, love the glass and ceramic cups and mugs as opposed to plastic
- 3/5
It was a fine place to stay. The room was small and not well ventilated, but it did have AC.
- 5/5
We stayed in room 204 for four nights. The hotel is clearly older though very well-maintained -- will stay again. Room was recently renovated, decent size for our bags (a couple) plus storage for wine bought in the area. Central location for the Rogue Valley, downtown Medford, I-5, and easy access to Hwy 62 for Crater Lake. Great breakfast place on the street behind it (Buttercloud), good brewery less than 10 minutes away on foot (Common Block).
- 5/5
Cozy, clean. Newly renovated.
- 3/5
It was decorated nicely.
- 5/5
Check in was very friendly. Room has good amenities and decor is nice. Bed was comfortable.
- 3/5
I haven’t been to Medford in a while. Coming in I saw all the homeless, loud cars, people ‘hanging’. I wasn’t scared but felt uncomfortable by myself. I’m glad I didn’t go anywhere! The A/C was loud and only cool. I really don’t like loud fans in the bathroom when you turn on the light. The room itself was clean, I was happy for hard floors and no carpet. I guess I’m not a good picker of motels!
- 5/5
This property is owned and run by the people that own it and it certainly shows. They care for like it's their own home in the thoughtfulness of the way they care for this place. I haven't stayed in a motel that was this nice in many many years. I have a new place to call home when I come to Medford. I'll definitely be back here and I'll recommend it to my friends or bring friends here.
- 5/5
Great place, quaint and friendly.
- 4/5
Check in time is 4 PM, which is later than expected. However, they allowed me to check in at 3. Rooms are generally smaller, but clean and comfortable. Shower is nice with good water pressure. TV, Refer and Microwave were newer.
- 5/5
Older motor lodge good value, clean and updated recently
- 5/5
Great value. The room looks like it has been recently remodeled. It is not luxurious but clean. But this is great for being motel. Everything included, I paid less than $100 a night. It is in the historical downtown area, great location. I just stayed one night so I did not take advantage of the location.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable, and convenient, with added bonus of Buttercloud bakery just around the corner.
- 4/5
The motel is older, but refreshed. It was a quick stopover and adequate for our needs. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
Comfortable bed. Eclectic decor was a nice touch. Close to good place to eat Common Block. Traffic noise was a bit bothersome. Limited tv selection. Could stand upgrade to Smart tv.
- 5/5
Motel room has been done with style, nice amenities and a comfortable bed. The towel swans were a nice touch. Customer Service and check in was friendly and quick.
- 5/5
This is a good pace to stay if you want to walk around town. Maybe the best place for closeness. It is a motel so you get motel amenities which is basically none. No pool, no ice machine, no nothing, but the rooms are clean, its one block from downtown and the owners seem nice and friendly. It is family run. Support their business.
- 5/5
The owner left nothing to chance regarding my comfort and convenience! I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Clean and comfort.
- 2/5
Rusty light in shower Fridge was unplugged Smoke alarm cover was off Drawers and chair not really cleaned Screen door won’t close all the way Floors and hallways not really clean No ice machine Sink didn’t drain correctly
- 5/5
Clean reasonable price
- 4/5
Very nice layout and met our family's needs. The photos realistically represent the room. FYI: not very teen or kid friendly. My son met my mom at her car to get his earbuds and his sister locked him out goofing around. He yelled her name and knocked on the door. The person on duty came up to us very rapidly and rudely yelling. It was clear to see that we were a family with kids and threatened to kick us out in the middle of the night (10:15pm). He acted as if my mom and son just committed a felony in the parking lot and said if she comes back here he's kicking us out even though the room was for 6 people. Im pretty sure he was on some liquid courage because him being 5 ft tall and yelling at a person a foot taller (my son) must have been on something. Other than that, the room was very nice and the location is close to downtown.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable. I enjoy being in Medford’s historic downtown area.
- 5/5
The property was pretty basic. But it was thoughtfully decorated, seemed to have nice fixtures and well maintained.
- 5/5
Super clean.
- 5/5
This motel may be old, but it's been refurbished so it was clean, modern and comfortable. I just needed a room for a quick night's sleep at a reasonable price. This hotel checked all those boxes.
- 4/5
Super cute redo of a classic drive-in motel in the heart of downtown.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff and rooms very well maintained and designed.
- 4/5
Very good value. The rooms have everything you need and nothing you don’t need. The only issue you should be warned about is the road noise. The rooms are maybe 15-20 feet from a very loud and busy street.
- 5/5
This is a hidden gem. A quiet, safe place with quick acces to several restaurants, stores, as well as touristy attractions. Would love to come back during my next visit!!!
- 4/5
Negatives? The bathroom fan was noisy and couldn't turn on the bathroom light without turning on the fan..
- 4/5
Best bang for the buck. Very well priced. Overall very clean. Don’t be put off by exterior of property. Rooms have fresh paint with interior modern amenities. Linens fresh and clean. Floor and surface areas clean. Would definitely stay again
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean and well kept room.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at this property several times and will stay there again. It’s located in the historic downtown area. It’s modest accommodations and very well maintained.
- 4/5
clean cute and attractively decorated/painted
- 5/5
The room was clean , easy to park, staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a good night sleep.
- 4/5
It's clean and located downtown. Limited hours for check-in resulted in way too many emails and text messages asking about estimated check in time.
- 5/5
Our room was newly remodeled and done very well. The room had everything we needed and we felt very comfortable in the bed. The location was walking distance from the theater and downtown restaurants. I loved this little hotel! I would highly recommend it and we plan on coming back to it when we visit the theater again.
- 5/5
My experience with housekeeping was inconsistent. The room wasn’t cleaned on my first night, and I had to request fresh towels. They explained this was due to a fire behind the building, which was understandable. The next two nights, I received fresh towels and trash removal but no full cleaning. However, the room was cleaned thoroughly on my final night—almost overly so. The motel has the potential to be a charming boutique stay with some improvements. That said, the price is excellent compared to other nicer motels in the area.
- 4/5
This was a very clean and up-to-date motel room at a great price . The room was compact but comfortable. My only negative would be the fact that you have to wait until 4pm to check in…that was a bit inconvenient for us but we made it work.
- 4/5
The staff were nice and friendly and the room was super clean and had kind of a 1980s color block vibrant vibe which was really fun. I like how they spruced up this old motel to make it a lot more interesting and modernized.
- 5/5
We were pleasantly surprised by rhe moderness of the room. It was tastefully decorated and comfortable. It also was within walking distance of eateries.
- 5/5
Perfect place for me to stay in Medford for my work. Easy travel to where I needed to go and I like the non-corporate vibe.
- 5/5
Nice updated motel.
- 5/5
Very comfortable room. Safe location for walking into town. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
I love this little motel. I stayed for 4 days and never had a problem with safety or noise. It was the best stay I’ve had here in Medford! I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends! 10/10 will stay here again!
- 5/5
WIN WIN WIN. very afordable. very clean. modern room. everything looks new. soft sheets and towels. good water pressure. friendly staff. Much better then a chain hotel. pictures on website of room are accurate. Would definitely stay there again driving hwy 5 north or south easy access from freeway.
- 4/5
Parking tough, very busy location.
- 4/5
Staff very helpful. Laundry facilities
- 5/5
Surprisingly nice for the price
- 5/5
Clean, updated, affordable. Lovely little motel.
- 5/5
Great motel. Would recommend
- 5/5
My second time staying here within a month and it was just as perfect. Front desk is lovely, the king room is large and the bed and bedding are great. Definitely going to be my go to stop for my drives between WA and CA!
- 5/5
Downtown Medford gets really quiet after 8:30 at night. Not a lot to do. The room was fine. Clean. Good shower water pressure. Just down the street form the Craterian Theatre and a good Korean/sushi restaraunt.
- 5/5
Great Value!
- 2/5
The bed was not very comfortable, there was no ice available and the front desk person was not polite
- 5/5
A quick and enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
Very clean and easy access.
- 5/5
Quick, fruendly & easy check-in considering I’m tired & exhausted from the more than 8 hrs drive. clean & convenient to my vehicle. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Very cute, clean motel. Close to shopping and walkable to several restaurants. Easy drive to Crater Lake. Would stay again.
- 5/5
They’ve done a nice job of cleaning up a classic old motel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the property is nice.
- 4/5
Very clean, good bed, very noisy road, no issues with noise from other guests. Good value for a crash pad on a road trip.
- 5/5
This was a perfect little spot for us. The room was clean, cutely decorated and had thoughtful additions. The staff were very friendly and the price was right. We will absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
Such a surprise to find this cute 50's motel. A bit of nostalgia. So different from a generic freeway chain motel. The rooms are tastefully decorated and extremely clean. The owner, Mr Patel was so welcoming. He gave great directions and also a bit of tourist information. What to see and do in Medford, Central Point, Jacksonville and of course, Ashland. There is a wonderful bakery around the corner, Buttercloud Bakery so no need to have the usual cold cereal and toast. Thank you, Mr Patel for a great stay!
- 5/5
We love old school motels and this one was the best. Remodeled.. Bright colors, details, upgraded furniture. The bed was comfortable and everything clean. And the man at the desk was absolutely the friendliest.
- 5/5
Overall great, would stay again if in area. Reasonable rate, room small but clean, towels & sheets good quality/had a nice feel to them, which was much appreciated (actual pillows a bit too thick for my preference) but nice pillow case made up for that. Only concern was if running late no check in after 10PM.
- 5/5
Safe and quaint! All we needed and well maintained. Walking distance to food. Restful! Will revisit in the future!
- 5/5
Comfortable overnight stay.
- 4/5
Clean quiet and servable...area a little sketchy but i think thats just Medford!
- 5/5
Very helpful staff, cute and clean rooms, good location. We'll definitely stay here again when passing through Medford!
- 4/5
Friendly staff. I liked having glass glasses and coffee mugs rather than disposable. And soap dispensers rather than sample sized toiletries. Bed and pillows were comfy.
- 4/5
Nice stay
- 5/5
Super cute!! Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Clean, modern rooms. Friendly staff and easy check-in. Very enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay. Inviting outdoors, clean rooms, excellent beds, nice neighborhood, well equipped with everything needed for a stay. Wholeheartedly recommend this place
- 5/5
Cute clean and quiet
- 5/5
Easy check-in and key drop for check-out. Clean, remodeled premises.
- 5/5
This property is a bit older but they've done everything possible to make it chic and comfortable. The effect is charming in a nice place to rest your head.
- 1/5
Hard squeaky bed. Over stuffed bed pillows. Noisy window unit. Traffic noise. Found another hotel, didn’t stay the night.
- 5/5
Very nice, clean room. I will stay there again.
- 5/5
It's true "You can't judge a book by its cover." The first impression of the hotel was average. But, once you enter the room your perspective changes. Very clean, nicely decorated, with a modern, minimalist vibe. Will stay here again.
- 5/5
Well decorated rooms.
- 3/5
Bed was to stiff for me.
- 2/5
Had bed bugs
- 4/5
For the most part our stay was lovely. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfy. The road was quite noisy, but it did quiet down at night. Be careful parking; the rosebushes make it difficult to get in the back door of the car. Also, for some reason Google takes you to the back of the motel where there’s no entrance. The entrance is right on the main road, just look for the sign.
- 5/5
Best budget motel in Medford
- 5/5
My check-in experience was very pleasant. The room was clean and there was plenty of parking.
- 5/5
I have stayed here my past three trips. I always find the room lovely and cozy and the owners friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great staff that helped me after my long travel day!
- 5/5
Location was super convenient to walk about town. And the room was beautiful, clean and comfy. Will stay here again
- 4/5
As a sales rep that pays my own expenses, properties like this are important for my bottom line. This is a great example-lovingly cared for older property that is MUCH nicer on the inside that what it appears from the outside (although they have also done a great job with the hanging planters). Comfortable beds, good showers. A few sketchers around outside, so be mindful of that. Otherwise I would gladly stay here again. Excellent price.
- 5/5
Well maintained and clean, friendly staff, convenient location close to many things. We would come back!
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable and service centered!! Must check-in before 10pm due to staffing. The people working here went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great.
- 5/5
This was the second time we stayed at this property. The location is great and the rooms are very clean and have everything you need for a great stay. The owners have done a great job to make the rooms comfortable and well appointed. Love the little details like the cute alarm clock, artwork, and wall colors.
- 5/5
The rooms were very comfortable and clean
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Covenient location.
- 5/5
Stayed for the night on our way to drop off for a section of the pacific coast trail hike. Very comfy beds, clean and beautiful rose bushes everywhere!
- 5/5
Great room
- 5/5
Very clean. Easy check in. Good price. What else do you need?
- 5/5
This is a small property but maintained nicely. I was in room 204. It was very clean, looks as if updated recently. Nice bed, TV good size and bathroom was good size. For the price really can’t be beat.
- 4/5
Nothing to complain about for the price except that there wasn't a full roll of toilet paper to begin with and no extra rolls for my stay. The wifi was also finicky. But the property was clean, cute, and safe.
- 5/5
Absolutely adorable rooms! The owners have done a wonderful job of making this a great space.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable stay. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Cute little motel in downtown area. Lots of eco-friendly amenities. Wouldn’t have guessed it from the outside.
- 5/5
For a budget motel, the rooms are quite nice with lots of amenities. I see why they have earned good ratings!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Nice room. Walking distance to downtown bars and late night hangouts
- 4/5
Loved the bed. Would stay there again.
- 4/5
Everything is good except air conditioner too loud to sleep
- 5/5
Very clean, recently updated rooms. Easy checkin and checkout. I locked some stuff in my room when getting ready to check out and manager was very nice letting me back in early in the morning.
- 5/5
Amazing little motel! Dont let the outside fool you. Lobby was clean and fragrant, desk clerk recommended a local resteraunt, Namaste, excellent! Room updated beautifully, fragrant as well, clean comfortable. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
We booked this hotel because the price was good and it is centrally located. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
We were very impressed with how well a small room was designed and laid out. Modern conveniences and pleasant artwork. We would definitely come back again if we’re driving through.
- 4/5
Cute, clean and quiet.
- 5/5
This is a nice gem! Remodeled and clean. The staff was absolutely friendly. The rooms are small, but works great for singles / couples for a place the lay your head.
- 5/5
Newly remodeling. Extra clean! Nice motel!
- 5/5
Very clean. Looks remodeled. Drive up Motel, very convenient location. Excellent value.
- 1/5
Their were bed bugs in our room.
- 5/5
Super clean eco-mindful newly renovated cozy convenient motel. Beautiful roses everywhere. Comfortable bed and nicely decorated! Better than some big brand names I’ve stayed at recently. Interesting eateries just down the block. Kind hotelier, too!
- 5/5
For a last minute accommodation this motel was a nice fine. Clean, reasonable and office personal very personable.
- 3/5
This would be a decent motel to stay for a. Oggy to break up the drive. It’s clear the owners have put effort into keeping it clean and it was clear it had been painted inside and out recently. The area is unremarkable, but the single biggest letdown was the bed. It was the hardest bed I have ever slept on. I woke up stiff and sore from the pressure points. I’m pretty sure the bed was new(ish) but just rock hard. I cannot recommend t this motel, based on the bed alone. It was just that bad.
- 5/5
This is a great little motel. Very clean. Tight place but all you need if your a single or couple. Did i say CLEAN!!!
- 5/5
Looks like a typical road-side motel from the street, but the staff is very friendly and helpful, and it is arguably cleaner and better maintained than some of the nicer hotels I have stayed in.
