Reviews
The hotel is undergoing renovations, which has led to a mix of positive and negative experiences. Guests appreciate the proximity to Graceland and the refurbished rooms, but there are consistent complaints about cleanliness, lack of amenities, and poor customer service.

I’ll start with the positives I turned up early after getting soaking wet in the thunderstorm was allowed into room as it was ready. Thank-you for that. Food left in fridge after room was cleaned not just a couple of things the fridge was full. Telephone not working and socket not working on one side. Reception did offer to change rooms for me but I had already unpacked so did decline. Removed food myself and put in outside bin. I didn’t think the floor was very clean.

The smoke alarm needs to be looked at. It beeped the entire night.
- 2/5
Our room clearly had water damage, there was an hole in the wall of the bathroom behind the door, and the room had an overwhelming chlorine/mildew smell.
- 5/5
It's was very nice will come again
- 2/5
The staff was really friendly and helpful the only problem I had was the way the rooms looked holes in the walls it looks like they're trying to renovate but it's not coming out right

The most valuble part of this place was the staff. MJ and the girl working with him at reception. Super friendly and kind. Very helpfull. The bed was very comfy and location is perfect, just 4 mins to Elvis house. Breakfast, not many options and not very tasty, is the only thing I would improve.

This was one of my favorite hotels to stay in absolutely great staff. The rooms were impacted clean the venue that we were going to see the concert was less than half a mile away and met some of the nicest people I’ve ever met ever in any city, I love Memphis love this place.

Location next door to Graceland Water damaged walls & mold in the (tiny) bathroom, a cracked & leaky toilet that had been freshly caulked to no avail, rusty hinges & protruding bolts in bathroom, no complimentary soap or shampoo, 1/2 empty bottle of Sprite in barely cold mini fridge at highest setting, mold and water stains on the ceilings, dirty floors, dirty walkways, thin, worn-to-see through towels, no bath mat.
- 3/5
Was really quiet, staff was friendly. Close to the things we wanted to see and they have a awesome Elvis entryway They take pets although there is only 1 patch of grass next to the busy road to take your dog too go potty. Kind of hard to get your dog to go only walking in circles. The bathroom needs help, we noticed on our last day that there is black mold on the ceiling above the showerhead.

Breakfast was very good. It included coffee, juice, cereal and even eggs. Room service was poor. I had to ask twice for the trash to be emptied. They finally got the trash on my last day out of five days. They did give me some new towels. Communication amongst the staff needs to be improved. I asked for a late check out due to a later flight for the next morning. The night staffer said that was fine and said they would make note of it. The next day the cleaning staff knocked on my door right at 11:00am. I said that I had permission to check out one hour late. A few minutes later some guy pounded loudly on my door like it was the police or something. And said it was past check out time. This unnecessarily caused me a stressful last morning.

The location was very close to everywhere I needed to go The room could’ve been cleaner, we had to wear shower shoes due to how dirty the tub was

The hotel has undergone a major renovation on the plus side however the tv did not work and engineers were to look at it. Still not working upon return to my room on the minus side.

Just a cheap hotel for a quick stay. Room was mildewy and the bathroom was the same and super moist when we got there. We just needed a cheap place to stay late checkin. Bed was clean and general space was clean.
- 2.5/5
The first room we were issued, the bed sheets hadn’t looked like they had been changed. We went downstairs to request new sheets and instead issued us a new room because there was no housekeeping. Also, beds are not the most comfortable, smaller sides and the tv remote didn’t work.

It was a good location. Right next door to Graceland, restaurants and gas stations. The first room we were issued, the bed sheets hadn’t looked like they had been changed. We went downstairs to request new sheets and instead issued us a new room because there was no housekeeping. Also, beds are not the most comfortable, smaller sides and the tv remote didn’t work.

newly renovated room .close to attraction . outside area ie pool and all areas within property badly in need of smartening up ,ie pool has missing tiles around edge also needs cleaning as water doesnt seam to be filtered also areas with lots of weeds and scruffy half filled plant pots. also reception could not check in or out due to manager seemed to be only person able to access computer.
- 4/5
Was a pleasant hotel and convenient to what we wanted
- 1/5
Pubic hairs in the bed and on the toilet very old stinks really bad very dirty property drug addicts approaching you in the parking lot, etc. etc. etc. you get the vibe we walked in checked it out and immediately left

The staff member stole my credit card number and made purchases and had them shipped under his name to the hotel. I disputed the charges with my credit card company but I don’t recommend staying here. I reached out immediately after we tracked down the order and found out it was shipped to the guy at the front desk. After research with Best Buy / this has happened numerous times with this same guy.
- 4/5
Parking was fine, close to the room. Breakfast a little lacking. Rooms nicely redecorated, cost great, Graceland literally 3 minute walk.
- 5/5
Perfect location to Graceland we were able to walk to it. The hotel is older and it's not fancy but it is beautiful from the awesome Elvis photos in the lobby to the Elvis walk if fame star in the window shade. Every door in every room is pink. We have a great weekend and would definitely stay here again the ladies at the front desk and the breakfast attendant were super

Spotless room. Easy check in. Comfortable beds. 10 out of 10 and walked right over to Graceland
- 5/5
Amazing place staff so friendly and if u Elvis fan this place for you
- 5/5
Convenient, clean and nostalgic. Really enjoyed our stay and we will be back.
- 2/5
Plugs hanging out wall. No phone to call front desk. Couldn't understand staff. Water faucet come off in your hand. Breakfast was nothing was told. Door to connecting room was missing frame to keep it from coming open. We even have pictures to prove it. Plus went you plug something in everything went out. Air conditioner was not clean.
- 5/5
Staff is very friendly and approachable
- 4/5
The gentleman at the front desk could’ve been nicer when they say continental breakfast don’t expect to eat really anything. They were out of everything but frozen biscuits and toast.
- 4/5
Room was clean and nicely upgraded, loved being close to Graceland!
- 4/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Elvis Presley Boulevard was surprisingly walkable and seemed fairly safe until early evening, and there are a few good shops, stores and restaurants nearby. Marlowe's restaurant has a shuttle that picks you up and drops you back at the Days Inn for free. The hotel and grounds were clean and well-maintained. The staff, especially the receptionist Mr. Bhumik and housekeeper Ms. Linnie, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good, and the dining area is very comfortable and homely, with lots of Elvis photos and memorabilia to keep EP fans happy. The only minor negative point for me was a slightly musty/stuffy smell in the room, perhaps due to the lack of a window that could be opened for fresh air. I tried keeping the door open for a short while but it brought in a few insects. Overall I had a very pleasant, safe and comfortable 3-day stay at Days Inn Memphis at Graceland. Thank you very much, especially to the kind and hospitable staff at the hotel.

The room was clean and serviced every day (3 night stay). A reasonable breakfast selection available. The parking was good and the location ideal for visiting Gracelands. Also a bus stop right outside if required to go downtown.
- 5/5
We most definitely enjoyed our Elvis Week honeymoon experience here! My first Elvis Week. My husband's 7th. He told me it was his best ever experience by far. A good bit of it is due in part to staying here in walking distance to so much!
- 2/5
We had to change rooms 3 times! First room had dirty water in bathtub, the second room the bed was broken, finally the third room was ok! The breakfast was horrible! The pool was in bad shape needs repairs!
- 4/5
Once straightened out, the stay was very pleasant & peaceful. Will definitely stay again but check in process needs to be retooled to achieve a smooth & stress free experience for customer. Staff was very pleasant. Very friendly atmosphere & you get to know alot of people staying there & make new friends & memories.
- 4/5
All good
- 5/5
The hotel could really use some updates, but the front desk worker works extremely hard to make sure your stay is great.
- 3/5
Good for proxomity to Graceland. Otherwise, don't go to Memphis.
- 3/5
It is AMAZINGLY close to Graceland, quiet which I was surprised about given the proximity to the airport & road. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and the Graceland hotel which you can access and I’m told very good with free Elvis movies every night at 7pm. Wouldn’t venture further on foot, probably not hugely safe. So, in summary if you’re still reading, good value particularly if you’re on a budget. Not sure I’d recommend for a lone traveler. But under $15 to downtown and the airport in an uber and perfect for Graceland.
- 1/5
The neighborhood is dangerous, bed bugs found on worn out mattress that was very stained and soiled. Sheets very stained. The door that adjoins rooms looked like someone had broken through it many times, so humid in room that bedding was damp, marijuana smoke coming under door to adjoining room, woman in next room screaming obscenities. Uber driver told us he wouldn’t pick up or drop off in this area due to crime. I should have taken photos but we left quickly when we saw the bed bugs. Stay elsewhere!
- 2/5
The first room that was given to us had no hot water. They did move us to another room. The pool was missing tiles but it was nice and I did like it was shaped like a guitar. I just expected a little better quality being right next to Graceland. Convenient for Graceland. They are renovating right now so hopefully it will get better
- 2/5
Several things not working correctly at this property and the smell in the room, not great. No hot water, TV kept malfunctioning and it generally needs done TLC.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent
- 3/5
I liked it was clean, pool could have been maintained daily so things would not be floating in it, had to ask for another room because the hot water stopped running. Breakfast was poorly. Only cereal, yogurt, coffee, honey bun and waffle was offered. Would have been nice if they offered bacon and eggs. Even with all this I did like my stay
- 5/5
Great property!
- 3/5
Breakfast area was clean with lots of interesting pictures and Elvis memorabilia. BUT several large planting pots around pool area were full of green slime covered water and mosquito breeding grounds, and door lock in room was very flimsy, barely hanging on the frame. Looked like a good shove would take it right off. Something like that should be fixed and they shouldn't put guests in that room until it is fixed--- not sure why it hadn't been addressed. Only stayed one night passing through, but easy on and off the highway.
- 5/5
This Days Inn was chosen for its proximity to Graceland. We could walk there. The guitar shaped pool was cool, though we didn’t have time to enjoy it. The front desk staff was helpful and the room itself was clean.
- 5/5
Everything was pwrfect
- 1/5
Great location, just across the street from Graceland. Neighborhood is very sketchy. Was told by the night clerk that it is unsafe to go out at night and I believed him!
- 1/5
When we opened the door which did not lock well. The room was completely destroyed. Bed torn apart like mattress thrpwn, pictures torn off the walls and desk in pieces blocking the bathroom inside the room. They offered us another "clean" room we juat cancelled pir reservation instead. The hotel is already not in a good area but i definitely felt unsafe and that the next room wouldnt have been any better.
- 5/5
They were kind and friendly to our grand daughters. They enjoyed the pool and the waffles for breakfast.
- 2/5
Bob at the front desk is the heart and soul of this place. I wouldn’t have stayed there if it wasn’t for his continued hospitality and superior service.
- 5/5
Everything was great overall! Room was clean and comfy, staff was friendly, pool area was great and breakfast offerings were yummy!
- 5/5
I had read all the reviews on this hotel before we left on our trip and I was a bit worried. But the price was right and when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The place is clean and recently remodeled. Our room was comfortable and clean. Outside trash near a trash barrel, under a stairwell had accumulated, but it wad evening time after housekeeping staff was done for the day. Breakfast offerings were awesome and we didn't have any complaints. I chose this hotel for its proximity to Graceland. The roads in the area are bad but thats not the hotels fault.
- 4/5
Very clean room , very neat guitar shapes pool . Right beside Graceland. Our bed was very hard unless you like extra firm mattress, but friendly staff and a very neat decorated up lobby of Elvis .
- 5/5
everything close to Graceland
- 4/5
The hotel itself could do with a clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. Value for money was ok. The location is very close to Graceland.
- 2/5
I didn't like the parking options (open lot, not fenced) & the hotel looked older & not as clean as I would prefer, so I didn't end up staying at the property.
- 5/5
Had a great time. The rooms were very nice. Loved the atmosphere of all the Elvis things.
- 1/5
It was awful. We ended up leaving as soon as we checked in. Our room was disgusting and there was feces in the toilet upon arrival. Wadded up toilet paper in trash can, Brown substances on floor around the desk, hairs in the bed that did not belong to us. Reeked of marijuana the whole time. I felt completely unsafe and uncomfortable. Room was disgusting and UNCLEAN!
- 5/5
Room very clean
- 5/5
It was a great room I had a wonderful time
- 5/5
Very friendly stuff and helpful the room was nice and pool was nice looking.
- 4/5
However, I was a bit disappointed with the room size – it felt quite small for a family stay and didn’t match the expectations based on the booking. Cleanliness could also be improved, especially in the bathroom and corners of the room where we noticed some dust and missed spots. The location is good and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is nice, but I do hope they work on improving the room upkeep and cleanliness. With a bit more attention to detail, this place has the potential to be a great stay.
- 5/5
Very Accommodating
- 4/5
Bed was hard but everything else was good
- 5/5
The room was clean, shower had endless hot water, and the bed was comfortable. I felt safe and the guitar pool was super cool! I don't understand the negative reviews. It isn't a posh motel, but for the price it is more than adequate. Graceland is less than a block away. We walked and saved money on parking. Definately convenient.
- 5/5
I felt like we had a great time and the way staff was excellent no problem at all
- 5/5
Very cool pool
- 5/5
Lovely hotel, walkable into Graceland
- 5/5
Have had the most amazing time staff arè friendly clean rooms, pool fantastic.breakfast very nice thank you for the 11 days 😀
- 5/5
Perfect, thank you for everything
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly. When the TV didn't work, he switched our rooms. The second room was better than the first room, so I do believe that they're in the process of upgrading. We felt safe and was good for it overnight stay
- 4/5
Friendly and helpful staff

I would love to stay there again

No vending machines, or ATM Machines
- 5/5
I have been there many times before . After the renovation I doubted it would ever be the same cosy hotel as before , but the same atmosphere is back !! Two things I miss : the 24 hour Elvis movies and - oat meal !
- 4/5
The pool was closed and dirty.
- 1/5
Door was kick in at lock, bad service check out early they wud not refund my money, something about third party, so lost my money, didn’t stay
- 4/5
Comfortable hotel next to Graceland and a short flat I’ve into Memphis. Great value
- 2/5
Where do I start? The beds were comfortable but that's the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. The cleaning staff have no idea how to make up a room - they would replace the garbage and thats about it. Forget about sweeping or making the beds. Gave us 2 towels for 4 people all of the 5 days we stayed here. The bathroom doorknob was broken and when asked to have it fixed, maint guy just made it worse and my wife got locked in the bathroom. The manager had to come fix it or him the next day. We were not offered anything for compensation for our bad experience here. Not recommended.
- 2/5
It was cheap and you get what you pay for. But I regret not spending a bit more money and staying somewhere nicer. Rooms were ok and comfortable but hotel itself is shabby. Breakfast was sad. Couldn’t face eating there so just had a coffee to go. Location right next to Graceland and that really is its best feature.
- 1/5
Breakfast was served from 7-10am. We went at 9:00one morning and 8:30 the next both days we had a section of 6 slices of white bread and coffee. If you serve till 10 should not run out by 9. Pool was covered in green slim the whole time we were there and weeds around building were up to a foot tall in places. Room was fairly clean but did not have a coffee maker till 3rd day. Lobby was nicely decorated.
- 4/5
Customer Service was NOT good. Woman up front tried to say I didn’t book King Bed when I had proof. She said they had no rooms with King bed on double which is huge difference! I asked if she gave our room away and she just said that’s all they had “which was a flat out lie” I told her I wanted discount but she wouldn’t do it. And I told her I wanted King bed next day! I noticed when she gave me keys for room she crossed off a digit and changed it. I also noted in receipt that we did have king bed reserved and that what they put in receipt was wrong and took picture for proof. Once we got to room about 15 minutes later she came knocking on door and said she had room for us which miraculously was the original room she has for us and crossed off digit! I just didn’t like the fact she lied and tried to switch our room. Otherwise room was clean, beds comfortabl and location was very convenient. Priced well
- 5/5
I want to first of all thank the staff at the Days Inn at Graceland for their warm hospitality. Saeed and Ms. Leni are absolutely wonderful!! They made sure our stay was the best we could experience. We stayed for 6 days, as a surprise birthday trip for my husband Chad. We especially loved making our waffles with the guitar imprint in them. The was fun! I had never made a waffle in my life lol. Graceland is literally across the street and to the left. You walk across to the left of the hotel, and the Elvis' Memphis complex is half way down the block to the left. You can walk right in, just past the Lisa Marie airplane. This location is perfect, especially if your main reason for the trip is Graceland. We did all the other museums in the city, but one due to weather, and they were all amazing and all close by. The beds were comfortable. Our only small complaint was the glitching with the TV, but it's satellite and the weather may have affected that. The bathroom was clean. We can't wait to go back during swimming season to go in the guitar pool! Save the money you would spend at The Guest House at Graceland, and use it on yourself. Unless you're staying at a big resort where the resort is the main event and you're not going anywhere, a hotel is really somewhere to lay your head down and rest at the end of the day. This is your spot for that! Thank you Days Inn and staff!! We will continue to stay at your wonderful hotel, time and time again!
- 2/5
Lost tv Reception on the 1st day. Had to move rooms. 2nd day lost WIFI connection which I’m still dealing with. My entertainment on my laptop had setbacks that will take a week to recover. The room spelled like mildew. The ONLY good thing was the Asst Manager Lucia. She made an effort to resolve my issues.
- 2/5
Hard to get in and out of parking lot. Went to check out early morning the door was locked I had to call to say leaving and leave the key don’t you think you should have access for safety or need something. Not the greatest up to date motel need better beds
- 4/5
Nicely displayed memorabilia of Evis throughout the facility.
- 4/5
Nice Elvis themed spot, across the street from Grace land. As an Elvis fan I was happy with my stay, good memorabilia. Free breakfast was mad decent, friendly staff. Clean rooms with wifi and direct tv movie channels. There were a few used prophylactics in the drive way but overall good place to stay.
- 4/5
The only complaint is that I could hear the people talking in the room next door.
- 4/5
There wasn't really too many other guests. It is very difficult to get in and out of the parking lot due to its location. Breakfast options are very limited. Needs some updates, but overall was okay.
- 4/5
Wished the pool was open and more options for breakfast besides al carbs
- 3/5
The hotel is cool; it's has been remodeled, but my bathroom smelled like URINE
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel
- 4/5
Older Motel, but clean and the staff was great!
- 3/5
was very pleasing to stay there ... would def visit again if going to vegas.
- 5/5
My stay was perfect
- 1/5
If you want a great recommendation, I would suggest you stay clear of this property. It is close to the Graceland house, but it is also close to an immense amount of crime terrible restaurants that I would never suggest you go to walk ability stay inside is my suggestion the property was dirty and this was a renovated room terrible bathroom Just felt very unsafe
- 3/5
Decent hotel. We had no issues. The rooms could have been cleaned a little better. Under the beds you could tell had not been cleaned for a while. Also, bottom sheets and mattress protectors were dirty. The shades in the rooms were also extremely hard to close.
- 5/5
The staff was great! The room was big. It is next door to Graceland.
- 5/5
very helpful staff and clean
- 4/5
Graceland than the guest house and it offers free car parking.
- 3/5
This is a great improvement to how it used to be, but still a work in progress. Love the security cameras that show live for the receptionist. Lots of lights outside at night too so felt safer than I would have done without. Some staff members more helpful than others and the lady who looks after the breakfast area is adorable. Good effort so far, keep up the good work. Would I return? Yes.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Rooms are renovated with a modern touch. Simple, easy breakfast.
- 3/5
I’m very surprised how bad the property has become , I’ve been a regular customer over the years and was shocked to see how it has gone down recently
- 5/5
This was perfect for a throwback nostalgia hotel but up to date. Wonderful tribute to Elvis and great location for Graceland
- 5/5
This is our new Memphis favorite
- 4/5
Everything was great
- 3/5
Remodeled and comfortable but our room was dirty (there were huge stacks of hair on the floor and in the bed) so we were kindly moved to another room, however, the floor needed to be swept and there was food in the refrigerator. Not a good neighborhood either.
- 1/5
We were there for only 2 hours! The room was clean! There was no landline phone, no satellite tv, and no Wi-Fi. The male counter person could not do anything and we had to wait for the manager to arrive at work the next morning to discuss cancellation. We booked with another hotel and informed the male counter person that we were leaving and contacting Hotels.com to file a report for cancellation.
- 3/5
We stayed for one night traveling through. Cool locatation being across the street from Graceland basically. I thought the room was very nice. But the building itself is getting old. Room had no phone and wifi did not work. Neat lobby area and clean. Not bad at all for the price.
- 1/5
The linens on both queen size beds in rooms 110 and 122 were dirty with brown spots. The towels in the bathrooms were disgraceful. The staff person did not know what he was doing. I suppose he was trying his best. Not mean at all .The breakfast just some muffins and a weak coffee.
- 4/5
.
- 3/5
Obviously trying to clean up, noisy & musty smell.
- 1/5
When loading my car I had fallen down the stairs and I had to call a squad and transported to the area hospital. I suffered dislocated and broken right ankle.
- 4/5
The floor was dirty, my socks were brown on bottom:
- 4/5
We did enjoy some of the Elvis memorabilia and records that were hung in the wall. Breakfast was actually pretty good. The waffle was delightful.
- 5/5
Good accomodations for a short stay.
- 3/5
It’s ok, but in the pictures look better 😬
- 3/5
Updated room style. Bed sucked.
- 1/5
When we showed up, the lights were out and someone came to the taxi and told us there was a power outage and we could not check in. We were told there would be a refund, but they have not been proactive about their refunds
- 5/5
This hotel is opposite Graceland and has all the Elvis mentobia that you could wish for. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Juanita, who was incrediblybfriendly and accomodating. My mum is wheelchair bound so she noved all our rooms so we could be next to one another. The rooms were recently renovated, clear with great aircon and it was nice to sit by the guitar shaped pool. Breakfast was wonderful with microwavable sauasage and egg croissants available alongside guitar shaped waffles and cereal. The beds were very comfortable too. This was a wonderful budget hotel and i would absolutely return and recommend.
- 4/5
Cute Elvis-y decor. Nice staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and modern appeal.
- 5/5
Great location to graceland
- 1/5
on the day of check in, we ask the front desk like a normal tourists would ask. Recommendations for foods around, things to do around and we asked if our room can be on the bottom floor rather than the 2nd one. We don't feel safe when we saw the stairs. The front desk replied that she doesn't know anything about the area, and she did give us a bottom floor, but it was dirty and have dirty towels hanging and no house phone. I use the bathroom, and I was locked inside and can't get out. After multiple attempts it opened. Again, went back to front desk and she said there is a trick to open the door. TRICK.. what if it doesn't work .. Fine, we stayed for the night and went out that morning , came back that evening to find out that there is a power outage. We knocked on the office and the poor guy said there is no instructions given to him by manager, so he doesn't know what to tell us. I called WHYNDHAM by there is absolutely no response. True, we booked to Expedia but on this situation, a hotel manager or Wyndham should have plan. We spent the night on a different hotel on our own expense. Came back to Days Inn the morning after and found a lady on the ground. She fell and broke her ankle. We called 911. We told the office employee, but they didn't even come out and help. Terrible! The ambulance took her to the nearest hospital. Then for us, we had to stay to another hotel because Days Inn have still no power. Thanks to Expedia for helping us through this.

As I said in a previous post, we didn’t stay. We were actually locked out of the hotel when we arrived. A hotel employee said he would cancel our reservation!
