DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Memphis

The room was very clean and nice, staff went above and beyond. I do wish they had more vegan options for the breakfast but I managed. And I could have just walked to whole foods behind the hotel or to city silo if I really wanted something else. I would definitely stay there again, it was a restful experience. The pool is really cool, you can swim under the wall from the indoor portion of the pool to outside. The indoor part is beautiful with plants. It is as nice as it looks on the website photos. Staff were all super nice and helpful.

I often stay at Doubletree by Hilton when in Memphis. It is my "go to" place due to comfort, cleanliness, and a welcoming staff. In addition, there is an Italian and a Moroccan restaurant virtually just across from the entrance (and maybe others in the general area as well).

I will only stay at Double Tree Hotels! This one in Memphis was outstanding from the room to the staff to the food and entertainment!! I was very happy with my visit ☺️

Nothing much honestly except for complimentary cookie I got on checkin Paid $350 bucks for a Inn like hotel. Constant construction outside my room. The drapes are old and dont cover the windows completely. The whole hotel and room are old and outdated. The AC is loud. Would never recommend or stay there again.

Had to pay an upcharge price for my stay, most expensive hotel I've booked. Hallways smelled, only 2 towels in the room compared to a usual 4, shower head was coming out of the wall

Everything about this hotel is great! Perfect location for a business trip or conference. Wonderful amenities for a family. Easy parking. Good breakfast buffet. Nice bar!

The AC unit in the room rattled loudly, there was no clock at all, no microwave or note pad and pen. The hotel did not provide even a continental breakfast and the onsite restaurant was very expense. The pool was nice, but no hot tub. However, the room was quite and clean.

Good breakfast, serviced by nice people In adequate parking. Especially inadequate handicapped parking. We stay here (two of us) as it is very convenient to family that live nearby. The room had issues, as we have seen on previous visits. 1. Room phone did not work (at least it seemed to be plugged into a wall phone sockett); 2. Desk lamp had no power cord (so worthless). 3. As we have found during prior visits, the bathroom sinks hot and cold facets leaked extensively each time they were turned on, we were forced to put a water barrier to protect our toiletries on either side of the sink. As a diamond level for life member of the Hilton Honors, we were to get $30/day credit for food (I verified with the front desk), but that was NOT credited to our bill (I will call tomorrow and hopefully get that credit applied to our final bill_.

Room and hotel were both very clean and located in a desirable area with many food options within walking distance. Only complaint was that we stayed in a room with a double bed and were only given 2 towels for 4 people. I asked the front desk twice and asked by text message once and never received enough towels for all our travelers to shower without sharing a towel!

The room was clean and nice enough, but needed TLC. Carpet was frayed where it met the tile, tile had several chips, window leaked rain, thermostat would not work sporadically, the shower was dark. Gym was, ummmm, very small and subpar. Room was quiet and comfortable. I wouldnt stay again and do not feel the price was appropriate overall.

I was dissatisfied with the Expedia website. They have two double tree hotels with exact same name. I booked with my family and we were at different locations. Should put in there that one is downtown and that they charge for parking

Had to change rooms because of leak/water in bathroom. Room smelled horrible. Rooms that haven’t been booked in a while should be inspected before assigning to guest. Otherwise, our stay was nice. This is our go to hotel when we visit Memphis. Hotel rooms are beginning to look a bit dated though. Could use upgrade.

Hotel was friendly and clean

To start it’s Memphis and the amount of police presence is crazy but it’s Memphis. There wasn’t much around to eat as we were flying out first thing and needed to eat early so we could go to bed early. Many of the restaurants didn’t open until early evening but not the hotels fault at all. The bed and bedding was so nice and we slept so well; however, the toilet seat was so loose that I was afraid I was going to fall off of it and the shower, while showering, filled up with at least of inch of water and that was a little gross. Other than those two things it was fine. We’d stay again knowing we know and making sure toilet and shower are properly working.

It was absolutely amazing. The staff was way more than you could ask for . Raven Tierra the bartender , the two front desk check in ladies oh my god!!! Kiss for names atm . Everyone was so so friendly and so polite. Was happy to see major amounts of families with kids and teens . The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The bloody Mary’s and top shelf margaritas were flawless! We can absolutely say that the breakfast buffet was the best I’ve had and had all you could need for a hearty breakfast! The staff for breakfast was the most friendly and welcoming. Can tell they love their jobs and have been with company many many years. Southern hospitality is where it’s at! I can’t wait to come back and stay! The hot water and water pressure is more than needed for sure ! Best hit shower ever!! The warm cookies yum

We only stayed for one night but the location was perfect for our visit. One of the main elevators wasn't working, so that gave some delay with people getting to their floors. The room was very nice and comfortable.

The swing suite didn’t work well but was fun enough to keep my 12 year old brother entertained for about an hour. Good location. Clean. Beds were actually queen beds. Modern TV. Will stay again. I did see two ants in the room so I have to deduct.

AC didn’t work

Now for the bad news. Your hotel room (7th floor, rm. 705) was horrid. The first problem, the elevators were out and only one was working. When we arrived to our floor the area was extremely hot and stifling, to the point my husband had an asthma attack. Once in our significantly cooler room, he was able to take medication and relax while it worked. As I prepared to unpack I sat in the desk chair and nearly slammed my head on the desk edge when it tilled in a unnatural side angle. As I caught myself and tried to straighten up, I was then flipped out (backwards) of the broken chair. When i tried to call the front desk the phone didn’t work. I had to called on my cell to inform the desk of the issues. They apologized for the issues and So i had to leave my still unwell husband to go

The front staff members were very friendly and professional, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Also, the hotel was located in a safe area and provided convenient parking. I will continue to return to this hotel for my stay in the area.

Food and service were terrible

The elevator was not operating most of the time while we were there. When it was working, it was very slow. We almost missed our Uber ride because of the delays. Also, I’m not sure what tiles were used in the pool area but they were more slippery than anything I’ve experienced. There was zero traction. People were slipping left and right. Almost as if it were oily. The employees were very friendly and the complementary cookies were a nice touch.

Our stay was great the beds were not the most comfortable. The security at the pool door was a bit much I feel like they could have been monitoring the people that was jumping off the wall into the pool instead of worrying about who enters. The people in the pool area were a little wild in my opinion. Other than that our stay was nice.

The tub did not drain while in the shower. After the room was cleaned there were no towels or tissues. The shower sprayed all over and made the bathroom very wet. The employees were wonderful except I could not get an extra towel.

The stay at the Double Tree was nice and comfortable as usual. The staff was awesome!

Staff were friendly, property had ample parking and was conveniently located. There were some consistency issues with customer service at the desk as far as making commitments for things like late check out and room cleaning, and the carpet in the room looked clean but our white socks turned brown on the soles after only a few minutes in the room so we wore slippers for our stay.

We requested for towels and did not get them until that afternoon after we left th room. We did eat at the resturant in the hotel, and the food and spirits were good. Great service in the resturant.

It looks good, but it was a very mixed bag. The trendy barn doors on the bathroom leave a 1 inch gap so don’t expect any privacy in that department. Very expensive restaurant downstairs so it would seem nice but police came two times that we noticed. Stained and broken lampshade, loose outlets, the usual maintenance issues. It was confusing because one elevator said out of order, but only on the first floor and people were using it. Cookies were super good! 😊

Convenient location for food options. Rooms were fine, our fridge didn’t seem to fit the space it was in so seemed to make the floor wet in front of it but otherwise fine.

This hotel is in a good location, not far from the highway, food locations, was quiet, provides a welcome cookie and has free parking. The lobby was in good condition but the room I felt was average for the price and was not up to my cleanliness standards as I did let the checkout agent know there was hair on the pillows. The room decor was decent and tv, refrigerator and bathroom was nice.

We stay here often. It’s convenient and clean. Our check-in clerk this time was efficient but not real friendly. Would be nice to be greeted with a smile. Still, that didn’t deter from this being a nice place to stay. And we will stay here again, I’m sure.

The staff here were really helpful and nice. Greeted us when we checked in and even gave us some warm delicious cookies while we waited. The King bed room was really nice. The best pillows I’ve ever slept on at any hotel.

Hotel was nice. Check in was easy. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet ($17) was good. Our friends had free buffet with their room, Waitress not so good. We seemed to be bothering her. Parking lot had security. Bed comfy, did not care for barn style bathroom door that doesn’t close or really shut.

Parking was good but it was pretty crowded wich is a great reason to have to park a bit away, was really surprised of the availability of plenty of disabled parking spaces…..great staff , .. clean rooms…enjoyed my stay!

Overall I liked the hotel. The restaurant has great service, food, and drinks. The staff for both are extremely friendly. I appreciated the indoor pool. It is showing its age but overall is a great place to stay.

The Tip Golf Swing Suite

Firstly, we were greeted with staff hovering around the front desk area. Proceeded to the elevator to go to our room and discovered that the lamp on the left side of the bed did not work, so I couldn’t charge my phone close to me just in case a call came through. Secondly, feeling very cold wanted to use the coffee maker for hot tea, however, it was screaming from the dust and dirt that has settled on it for a very long time. Now I have to get dressed and go to the lobby for hot water in which I was too tired to even be bothered. The wait was 2 days after check in for this small issue that was promised to be resolved the 1st day. Of course, the same coffee maker was still in the room upon check out 5days later. Thirdly, $17 for breakfast to sit there and stare at dead bugs in the window sill. Old rooms need to be remolded/updated. Unhappy HH Member
