King courner room was not what I expected, no view of the pyramid. Bed was hard, ants in the bathroom, no room service, no ice machine on my floor. No vending machine, you have to purchase snacks at front desk (gift shop). Giod menu at the restraunts was very limited and over priced. The valet parking was more expensive than what Expidia had listed.

The property was clean had good room service. The people were polite. It was good service the whole time. I didn’t like the valet parking. I would rather have a option to valet apart myself and they charge you for whether you use it or not. I didn’t like that the food that restaurant was good, but it was too high. They had no pool. I don’t know if I would stay there again but it’s a nice place.

The staff was not unpleasant. The property was okay-ish; it needs updating. The conference rooms for the conference we attended were okay-ish. The room was okay-ish. it was relatively clean. Overall, the experience was okay-ish, excluding the parking situation. The charges for parking are egregious. They changed from $25 per day (1 month before our stay) to $32 (2 days before our stay) to $35 all before we checked in. This did not include taxes and a random unspecified service charge that came with it resulting in $40 per day to park with no other options. I failed to mention the frequent smell of marijuana on several of the valet that lingered in the vehicle each time it was brought to us. This odor was also pervasive in different areas of the hotel.

  • dwayne May 2026 · via hotels.com
    3/5

The hotel is dated no doubt. The website pictures are AI, and doesn’t show the real wear and tear of an older hotel. The furniture and carpet needs updating and the walls and ceiling shows water and rust damage. This is not what I consider a $300/night hotel with a $35/night valet parking lot. I expected it to look more modern.

The staff didn’t know anything at the front desk. They gave us the wrong room. The bathrooms want clean in either rooms a lady had to come clean the room we weren’t able to sleep until 4:30 am until she was done. Also the towels had poop stains, hair on shower wall’s, someone’s shoe print on side of the tub, hand prints on the mirrors , red stains on carpets , peeling ceiling.

The valet staff went above and beyond, and the front desk staff (for the most part) were friendly. The rooms, while relatively nice and clean, the outer facilities and those parts of the hotel seen thru my hotel room and from the elevator, were in need of a deep cleaning. It was clear this hotel is one in transition and I would hope that it will improve positively. A particular recommendation is for there to be more lighting out front; when returning to the hotel at night it was not very well-lit nor was there proper hotel signage. But what it lacked in bells and whistles, it made up for in hotel staff attentiveness. Overall, a nice stay.

Room was clean and spacious. Well appointed and comfortable. Air conditioning doesn’t work well. Despite setting the thermometer low we couldn’t get the room below 74. Makes for a tougher sleep when it’s so hot in the room. Breakfast was prebooked, Sunday was a pitiful buffet. Monday was grab and go and limited. Was not properly explained at booking. Overall a well located property. I’d stay here again.

We had a horrible experience checking in. It was partly Expedia's fault, but the lack of communication by the property really irritated me. After 1.5 hours trying to check in with 4 kids, we were finally able to get into the room. The front area and lobby smelt like marijuana and my wife was harassed when trying to get from the self parking to the front door. Such a terrible experience we cut our trip short and went home after one night. Do not recommend for any families traveling to Memphis.

Breakfast buffet was $24.95 and I ate my fill, Eggs were good, Turkey Sausage was well done, and with Maple syrup it was delicious. Staff was welcoming and this "older" hotel was once a crown jewel, that has had a refresh! Our room had new carpet, updated fixtures and the bed was great. Parking was limited, but we managed to get a spot with Vallet having our best interest at heart. Nice staff, nicely updated amenities and I would stay again, no questions asked. I would rate my stay as a Solid 8.59%

I reported no hot water shortly after checking in. The maintenance guy arrives, checks and says let the water run a long time for it to get hot. Next morning, I let it run for an hour, still not hot. Two days of like warm showers. They sent another maintenance man to check it while I was out of the room. He found there was an issue and replaced the handle. The first maintenance guy should’ve found that. The staff offered me no compensation until I asked then was given a credit to eat on-site. Upon checkout the next morning, I advised the lady on duty that I was making sure I didn’t get charged for the meals because they were complimentary. She said ok but still charged my card on file. First and Last stay.

Nice hotel convenient to bass pro pyramid and mainnstreet. The a/c didn't work in our room. A tech was quickly to our room to try to fix it, and appeared to at first, but our room never got below 75 again. The showers were ok-higher water pressure could've been preferred. The staff were excellent however-we left a very precious stuffed animal accidentally and they were very thorough and responsive and committed to finding it for us!

Pool was under construction, definitely not mentioned online. Traveling with 4 kids, I would not have stayed here if I knew it was clised. Will never stay here again.

As a single mother traveling alone with three children, the valet parking being full was quite the disappointment and was one of the options that inspired me to book at this location. Check in was slow and very busy but understandable but again, not ideal with a wriggly, cranky toddler. AC never cooled to my desired comfort level and both older kids complained that it was hot, toddler was sweating. One bed was broken as in sunken in on one whole side of mattress and squeaky/could feel springs. Overall not the worst but certainly not the best. Would prob still book again if needed to stay close to the convention center as the skywalk over is just too convenient not to. Otherwise, if just simply staying in Memphis for other reasons, I’d prob try somewhere else for better luck.

We were there during the snow storm in February. The heat in our room never went about of 68. It was cold in all of the common areas. We went to dinner at the restaurant and had to wear coats, hats and gloves. They ran out of comforters so we didn’t have a comforter for the pull out which made it cold at night. The restaurant ran out of food and then they gave us a list and all the restaurants on it were closed. We finally found an open one ourselves. The staff was snappy to guests especially the days we were all stranded there. They were definitely unprepared for hosting a conference during a snowstorm.

I liked the valet service for parking but i did feel it was pricey to pay for actual parking there when you pay that amount of money for a room. Parking should be included in room fees. The staff was extremely helpful but a bit lacking on departure when needing assistance with luggage cart. Apparently this particular gentleman had forgotten my friend n i were sharing the cart so when she was dine with it and i tiok it from her, another guest felt i was skipping the line when in reality, i had talked to the same attendant when we got the cart to begin wuth. My friend was on a different floor than i was so she loaded up b went down and i went down on the next elevator to get the cart from her. It worked out. The other guest was fune once i explained i was already in line an hour before that.

The most upsetting experience happened the morning after we arrived late at night. Before 8:00 a.m., housekeeping pounded loudly on our door to clean the room. It was not a polite knock — it startled my child and me awake. Even after I told her we did not need cleaning at that time, she insisted and only left after several minutes of explanation. It was very distressing. Other than the location, the overall experience was disappointing.

The room was nice and we were even given a corner type room with lots of windows without request. However the receptionist who checked us in could have been much nicer to us. I was asking about the package I paid for including valet parking and she was questioning it and when I went to show her my receipt on phone she became frustrated with me. Also there was a dirty sock in the garbage can in our room when we arrived.

My reasonable expectations for Sheraton/Marriott hotel did not meet reasonable expectations. The hotel ambiance was severely outdated.the website show a beautiful functional swimming pool area and the pool has been "out-of-service for 3 years. There were no refrigerator in room, ice makers out-of-service, and the breakfast options horrible. Although the GM (Sonya) was professional and apologetic and the other staff (Jessica) were very hospitable there was nothing that could be done to make the inconveniences a non-factor. I would still recommend a stay...smh

It is a nice property and the room we booked looks nice and the bathroom was absolutely handicap accessible however, staying in said handicap accessible room, the mattress on both beds were horrible. Especially for 2 handicap people (one in a wheelchair and another in a power chair) The beds were so close to the floor it looked like the mattress were on a box spring with no bed frame. The mattress were so uncomfortable and felt like you fell in a hole and it was difficult to get up from. The front desk was notified. I was told the manager did not get in till later and would reach out to me. I have not heard from them. This was my 3rd stay at this hotel and it was disappointing. I do hope they will fix the mattress situation before selling the room to another customer needing a handicap accessible room.

Through Expedia, at a $110 for the night turned into an extra $50 due to a little extra early arrival rain was ready. Immediately. Then had to pay for parking $32 which is only valet and unsafe surroundings outside to park. Homeless people surrounding hotel, front street and all around the convention center. Most all the rain turned out as if it was cleaned, but the bed had 2 holes sunk in severely. They told it was Poo from the front end, never cleaned. The bathtub had a slight line in the back. Shampoo was broke off the wall with a piece of tape sitting on the soap rack. The floor was not swept normod. Due to spots and some grit and dust webs behind the toilet, no liners in the trash cans and the carpet had two areas of some type of piece of trash obviously was not vacuumed. Thank goodness I always bring my own cleaners. I have my own Cleaning business and this is not acceptable for the price of a high in hotel. I will never return or at least in Memphis tennessee, downtown. Anyone reading this? I recently stayed at Home2 It was perfect, so clean, I did not want to leave, safe and very nice parking. Available walmart, nearby and answers when questions needed.

I spoke with a young lady who was cleaning up down the hallway she gave us fresh towels and face cloths for the remainder of our stay. she was very helpful I'm so thankful for her, I understand how thing can fall through the crack just letting ya know what happened while we were there. Overnight parking on property is $32 a day so for almost $70 to stay there for 2 days I expected decent service for valet which did not happen every time I came back after work and every time I want to leave to go somewhere or go to work I had to chase somebody down to get keys to my car to be able to leave they were never after area to help people with their cars and if you're paying almost $70 and that does not include a tip and they expect to be tipped even though they have horrible service this place just is not worth it it is downtown the building itself is very nice from the outside but as soon as you step inside to your rooms not worth it don't go.

I had a bad experience. I had several flight delays. I called ahead of time to share that I had a late check in. It was around 1am that I arrived and I was told by the front desk that I no longer had a room. I had already prepaid through Expedia. They said it wasn't their fault. The building manager came to the line of people and said there was nothing he could do. I sat down to try and cancel and refund my stay through Expedia. I was so tired and frustrated. About 15 minutes later the building manager came over and tapped my shoulder and said he "found" a room for me. None of this made sense but I was able to get a room to sleep in. This created an incredibly poor customer experience.
