Reviews
The hotel is praised for its friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, and convenient location. However, there are consistent complaints about the pool being closed or in disrepair, and some guests have issues with parking. Breakfast is generally well-regarded, but some guests feel it could be improved.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Pool often closed or in disrepair
- Parking can be difficult or expensive

I will never stay at this hotel again and strongly advise anyone else—especially families—to look elsewhere. Safety & Location Concerns: The location is terrible and felt entirely unsafe for a family. The hotel lobby frequently had non-guests coming in to ask for the restroom, and the rooftop pool was packed with people who were bit wearing wristbands. Awful Service: The breakfast attendant was incredibly rude. She actually scolded my children for "taking too much food," but then turned right around and told a solo traveler to "take as much as you want, sweetie." We were explicitly made to feel unwanted and unappreciated as paying guests. Constant Noise: It is impossible to sleep here. There were cars racing around the area all night with absolutely no police presence to control it. The only positive aspect of this entire experience was the General Manager, who took the time to hear out our complaints and made things right on the billing end. Still, a helpful manager doesn't change the fact that this property is not fit for families. Avoid this place.
- 4/5
Easy in and out parking.
- 4/5
The people the convenience of location and parking It was a little outdated
- 5/5
It was a very nice hotel, right on the River in downtown Memphis. The staff was great. Parking in the private parking garage was a nice bonus. The hotel had a baby cribs we could use free of charge as well! We would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Nice rooms Clean Great location, walkable to Beale Street Hotel shuttle bus into town a bonus!
- 3.5/5
Proximity to Downtown Memphis Beautiful view of Mississippi River from room window. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Cost of hotel very Reasonable rate. Noisy Train passes by in the middle of night disturbing your sleep.
- 5/5
Ask for a room facing the river. Pretty view of bridge. Lobby area looked tired and dated. Parking was easy.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating.
- 2/5
We always come at 8am,but both time, they don't refill bacon. Staff not friendly at all.
- 5/5
And hope to stay again Thank so much for everything Happy to visit the area
- 4/5
The rooms were nice and clean but the bathroom water pressure was horrible.
- 5/5
Helpful and friendly staff, good variety for breakfast, excellent location to the sites and attractions of Memphis.
- 5/5
Staff could not be nicer. All engaged with us during our stay. Parking is secured under the building and the pricing for that was lower than I would have been happy to pay. Breakfast was terrific. Hot options and the biscuits were delicious.
- 5/5
I love the staff, food and location There is nothing that I didn't like
- 4/5
The location was good for breakfast was excellent. The bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete not comfortable at all.
- 5/5
From the kind greeting at the front desk to quick and easy check out the next morning, we enjoyed our stay. We were able to walk to The Peabody for the duck parade, to Beale Street for some music and fried okra, and still make it back in time for a sunset swim in the rooftop pool. The breakfast staff kept the food flowing even though there were many eager eaters.
- 5/5
We had a great stay. The location was perfect. We will stay again.
- 5/5
I had a great stay and I enjoyed the staff. A pair of my glasses did come
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location
- 4/5
Breakfast was very good the staff was very friendly. Parking was safe but the parking spots are very small.
- 4/5
Helpful staff Breakfast included - very good Parking - we had a hire truck of a dodge ram which doesn't fit the car park but it wasn't an issue as we had a spot right in front of the hotel
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
Pool was great and rooms were big.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at Comfort Inn. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast and Wi-Fi were nice, and the hotel provided good value for the price.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was good.
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 3/5
The staff was amazing, kind and helpful. Our room was clean but dated. Beds were ok. We stayed one night and it was reasonably quiet minus one loud dispute in the hall. The breakfast was not what I expected based on reviews. Not a buffet, basically a waffle station, eggs, bacon sausage. Toast and cereal. There were juices, milk and coffee. Seating was limited. Parking was also slightly difficult as the lot was full. The front desk helped us out. Overall it was a decent room, cheap but the reviews were a bit misleading
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, pillows were soft, beds were not too terribly hard, continental breakfast was sufficient; staff was very helpful, parking garage was very convenient, especially since Memphis is not the safest town
- 3/5
Great staff, parki
- 5/5
I look forward to visiting again in the future.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the breakfast was good and the parking was good and kept my luggage safe
- 4/5
I loved that the hotel was so clise to the river front and activities.
- 3.5/5
Location to downtown. We had a corner room that overlooked the Mississippi River and was beautiful. It wasn’t made clear the pool was not open nor which floor the outside deck was on. There is not enough parking!
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Exceeded my expectations. Good rooms, VERY strong water pressure in the showers, a rooftop pool overlooking the Mississippi River. Great staff, warm full breakfast bar, and free parking.
- 2/5
The carpet was not all that clean, the toilet ran for a long time, sink space small. I had made a mistake and booked two hotels so I changed hotels and only stayed one night. There was no restaurant available and Memphis has little going on downtown especially on weekdays. The downtown location is not great. I will say that the staff was great
- 4/5
The building is definitely older, needs some updating the thing that bothered me was I had requested a non-smoking room, the room we got had definitely been a smoking room at some point recently and it was a landlord special into a non-smoking room. The nicotine bleeding through the paint, the painted over dusty vents were definitely less than desirable. We weren’t in the room much to be really stuck in the old cigarette smell but if your someone who is sensitive to that I would suggest going somewhere else. The shower faucet was coming off the wall as well in room. Could use some small repairs the room.
- 5/5
The staff were really nice. The breakfast was very good and many things to choose from to eat, hot & cold items. Our room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I do recommend to stay there.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good. Biscuits and gravy were great. But had to wait for them to get food out. I hate to see when really busy. Parking was in basement. Not bad. Had a person doing security at night. No problems. The only bad thing was…in a bad area. A lot of homeless sleep at the government building next door. Also, pretty sure there are people staying in rooms and eating breakfast that are not paying guest!!! A man dropped off his screaming kids about 10:30 at night on the weekend and left. Heard him come in around midnight and made them go to bed. Then very early told them to get up!!! They are bars near the hotel. And we found a young child in the elevator. Took her down to the office. They knew exactly what floor she was on. Said the grandma probably didn’t know she was out of the room. Probably will not stay because of this!!
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
A nice hotel with private parking located in downtown. Very typical hotel situation with mostly friendly staff.
- 5/5
Room was clean, view was excellent, parking simple and cheap, staff was kind and very helpful.
- 5/5
Location was great, staff very pleasant
- 2/5
The desk clerk was very cordial understood my request and refunded our entire amount. Thx D
- 5/5
I like everything
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful. The hotel was very clean. With the free parking and breakfast, this is the best value in downtown Memphis!
- 4/5
This wa a great place to stay for the conference that I was attending which was 0.3 miles away from the convention center, the parking garage was ok, parking spaces a little tight for SUVs. But the overall stay was great definitely will stay again.
- 3.5/5
Location was good, walking distance to Beale Street Breakfast was poor

- 3/5
Spend only one night. A little expensive for the service and attention received!

- 5/5
Very nice and clean place ! Staff is amazing! Thanks all
- 5/5
I appreciated the secured parking and the delicious breakfast.
- 5/5
Clean room, awesome continental breakfast, easy parking, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Parking convenient compared to other places. The woman who checked us in put is in a room with no windows, despite the booking saying "city view". Clearly she knew this was a horrible room when she did it, with a broad smile. If we were staying more than one night, I would have demanded a change. In addition, the AC blew chilly air right onto the pillows. The previous occupant had turned the heat on instead, presumably to escape that. So the room was stifling when we entered and the AC therefore ran for hours.

- 5/5
Had a great stay. Very comfortable bed, big room & great shower. Was very quiet all trip. The breakfast was excellent. Great choice and tasted good. Good WiFi. One of the elevators broke so a little slow up and down to room but it is what it is. Walkable distance to many attractions. I’d recommend staying here.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Parking is not very good. The location is ok.
- 4/5
Nice comfortable and clean room. The buffet breakfast was pretty good with a wide selection.
- 1/5
staff was unfriendly and not helpful
- 3/5
Nothing fancy it served it’s purpose
- 4/5
Floors were quite dirty even in the room but the staff was amazing and friendly. Parking was easy and the breakfast was your usual
- 1/5
This place got good ratings, but I spent over $350 for one night and it was probably the worst place I've ever stayed. The whole place smelled like weed, the rooms were run down, and the parking was unsafe and dangerous.
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious and the staff so so friendly and accommodating. Our room had an amazing view of the bridge and Bass Pro Shop. It was very clean and the beds extremely comfortable! We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Memphis!!
- 3/5
Ideal location with parking. Some reception staff would say hi, others wouldn't acknowledge or even smile. Clean room but no window which was horrible. Good breakfast. Comfy bed.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good, we stayed 3 days and the ladies who ran the breakfast area were excellent!
- 5/5
Breakfast was good
- 3/5
Too close to the train tracks. Very loud at 530 in the morning
- 5/5
Staff was so nice and check-in was perfect
- 5/5
Very clean. Staff very nice.
- 4/5
The room was clean. Staff was very friendly breakfast the usual breakfast nothing to talk about but it did fill the avoid parking $13 plus a day. It was a nice day for under $200 a night.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was very nice, and breakfast menu was good.
- 4/5
We loved our rooms however, the carpets in both of our rooms turned our socks and feet black from the dirt. It was difficult to figure out how to get into the hotel and parking. Other than that it was an amazing hotel. The sites from the 10th floor were amazing!
- 5/5
I loved to staff were amazing thank you for a great trip.
- 5/5
Great ladies at the front desk very kind and considerate
- 3/5
Breakfast is horrible and mattress need to be replaced
- 5/5
All of the staff were very nice and friendly. They let us check in an hour early. The indoor parking garage was convenient, easy in/out.
- 5/5
For the money, this was a great hotel. It offered everything we want in the room when we travel and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The breakfast had multiple choices of hot food. The location was very convenient, so we could walk to all the places we wanted to visit. We especially appreciated the affordable, secured on site self-parking garage. We'd stay here again.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms were beautiful. The view was beautiful as well great place to stay. I would absolutely stay again.
- 5/5
Enjoy breakfast and people
- 4/5
A nice economy hotel in a great location across from the Mississippi River and easy walking distance to Beale Street and The Peacock Hotel. Underground parking, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Included breakfast is more than adequate.
- 3/5
Old hotel but was ok
- 3/5
Parking was easy and breakfast was good. There was no hot water in the mornings either morning. Learned to shower at night. There was a train that came by at 6:15 every morning.
- 5/5
Good breakfast good service
- 5/5
Parking was convenient, check in lady was great. All staff was very polite and friendly
- 5/5
Very friendly and courteous staff; was very helpful in referring places of interest to visit. Room was clean and spacious; excellent breakfast.
- 4/5
Clean room, good staff, convenient parking for $13 with in and out privileges. They could use sound deadening windows for the very loud outside early morning train and truck noises that feel like they are in your room. Breakfast was decent with a reasonable selection of items.. Coffee, cookies, tea and lemon water in the hall was nice. Water pressure in the shower was crazy hard.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Good breakfast and easy parking
- 5/5
Room was clean and paring was easy. We were able to walk to where the riverboats were for our tour. Beale street was about 6 blocks away and we walked that as well. The only issue was the elevators. There were two but only one was working and when we got back from Beale St that one wasn’t working and we were on the 14th floor. We had to adjust our parking situation so we only had 7 floors to walk up. Having said that the staff were all very friendly.
- 4/5

- 4/5
Breakfast was good. Room was decent. The room had a big stain on the carpet. Air-conditioning was eh.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff, breakfast fine but sometimes crowded and items run out. Convenient location and parking
- 5/5
Excellent location. The staff and breakfast were superb.
- 3/5
Great staff and breakfast. Older hotel and did not feel safe walking to Beale Street.
- 4/5
My daughter and I stayed here. Felt safe in the parking deck as it is monitored and gated. View from the room was great of the bridge. Breakfast was good with the hot offerings. The room was clean and hotel was quiet.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
None
- 4/5
Room was clean, housekeeping did a great job. Breakfast was what to be expected for being included in the stay. You have a mixture of staff hospitality. Parking was extra but on the property able to access from the building.
- 5/5
The room was nice & clean. The staff was friendly & had great customer service.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast was good and parking was in a parking garage that was attached to the hotel so you don’t have to worry about parking on the street.
- 5/5
The staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. The location was central to everything we wanted to do
- 5/5
Room was clean and beds were comfortable. All staff were very nice. Breakfast was good
- 4/5
For someone on foot/rideshare, the hotel is on a sketchy block I didn't feel entirely comforatble in at night. Breakfast is very basic. The room was meticulously clean and serviced daily.
- 5/5
The property was in a great location and the staff was so amazing, Danielle the front desk clerk was so warm and welcoming and all the other staff members was helpful, nice and knowledgeable. I will be returning
- 4/5
This property was clean and the staff was fantastic! It’s an older building and that is starting to show.
- 1/5
Everything was great.
- 4/5
The room was so spacipus and the view wonderful
- 5/5
Great location with a very convenient underground parking lot. Super comfortable bed and bedding, smart room design, and a wonderful view of the bridge. Definitely recommend this location for downtown Memphis with walking distance access to the convention center.
- 4/5
Very clean. Safe parking. Nice workers and staff! Convenient location.
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous and helpful and the hot buffet breakfast was a winner.
- 4/5
We had a room with river view which was great . The breakfast was average . The bathroom was very small and the hand basin was outside which was very inconvenient. No places to hang your towels . The beds were very small . The property needs a revamp . Otherwise very good location .
- 2/5
My biggest issue was it looked like they painted over water damage and mold in the room while also never delivering new towels. The staff was very friendly and helpful tho!
- 4/5
Cons: paper thin walls and slamming of doors a lot.
- 4/5
Our room was clean although it could use some updates. Our staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This was just a quick trip to Memphis for concert. The deck was not open which was sad because we would like to observed from there. Easy to get to all shopping areas.
- 4/5
Walking distance to Beale street.
- 5/5
Great location.
- 4/5
The staff were good. The park was provided. Breakfast was okay. The room was okay, nothing spectacular. Nearby shops are hard to get to due to the lack of parking. Finding a good place to eat is an issue as well. Customer service is not a big thing in the area.
- 5/5
Very comfortable beds, and super convenient to the convention center
- 5/5
Clean room. Staff is great!
- 4/5
Leaking water from faucet and shower head was not installed properly water sprayed everywhere.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay! Everything was great from the room, staff and breakfast. Parking was easy to come and go as well.
- 4/5
Older building, hotel staff were pleasant and breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Great location near Beale Street, Great breakfast, excellent staff
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff was very nice.
- 5/5
We enjoy staying at this hotel. The staff is friendly and the property is clean. The hotel provides paring at a reasonable rate and the parking is safe . Also, Beale street is within walking distance from the hotel.
- 4/5
The only issue for us was breakfast. We stayed 4 days 3 nights and out of all those nights we were only able to eat one full breakfast provided (which by the way wonderful selection of choices) as soon as we got to breakfast people were loading their plates with bacon and eggs and gravy as soon as the staff would put more many would rush to go back for seconds. I understand this is not the hotels fault but it would be nice if it could possibly be monitored. Especially since we were there for our child’s choir conference and many of our kids had no breakfast before they had to be at their early morning rehearsal at the convention center
- 5/5
Air was good. Didn't use the gym
- 3/5
Facility was decent, most of staff were pretty bad. One front desk attendant was great and nice, and one other staff member who might have been the hotel manager (not sure) was also pleasant. The staff in the breakfast area was incredibly rude, and other front desk and general staff were not great. Despite the hotel itself being decent, I'm not sure I'd come back.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Loved the water and coffee station is accessible 24 hours a day.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Very much so
- 5/5
The room was great, towels were replaced 3 of the 4 days. The front desk was very nice until the morning of the 23. She had quite the attitude.
- 5/5
When in Memphis you have to go to Graceland.
- 5/5
Fabulous staff, great location!
- 1/5
The breakfast was terrible and always missing something.
- 4/5
Room was nice, lots of hot water for showering. Front desk check in was fast and friendly.
- 5/5
Great accommodations. Happy and pleasant workers at the desk.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 1/5
Room was too expensive for one night. This place was clean but it’s really old and outdated real bad. The basement area to get on elevator was hideous!
- 2/5
The gym and pool areas were closed. But the worst part was the $100 surcharge they added at check-in. They didn't give a real reason for the extra charge. I never understood it; it's unacceptable that they don't honor the total amount you pay for the reservation.
- 4/5
View to Mississippi River and Bass Pro Shop huge pyramid.
- 5/5
Staff were fantastic
- 4/5
The room was spotless. Plenty of towels and a beautiful view.
- 3/5
Not 5 star rooms need to be checked before guest arrive
- 4/5
Convenient location easy affordable parking.
- 1/5
Bed bug Room 1107
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
The location in downtown Memphis os great, quiet and safe area and main street trolley just around the corner.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, staff was very helpful and the free breakfast buffet was excellent, great coffee!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 2/5
Key was not working and it happened over and over
- 4/5
Good location, within walking distance of The Peabody hotel and Beale Street. Breakfast was standard for this range of hotel. My only gripe was the room they gave us smelled of stale smoke. Thankfully we were only there one night otherwise I would have asked to move.
- 3/5
Parking is a bit odd and not that direct.
- 4/5
The room was clean, except for a seemingly clean, but stained, comforter. Our request for extra towels was promptly responded to. The lobby was a bit run-down, but our room was fine. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
It was a very decent place to stay for a couple of days. Really enjoy the view that we had! And breakfast was great as well.
- 5/5
Clean room, ok breakfast
- 3/5
Cold water constantly and the toilet/shower is TINY
- 4/5
Yes clean room , prompt response
- 5/5
We didn’t get to have breakfast because of the time we had to leave so didn’t experience. Had no issues and the room was comfortable. Would definitely come back.
- 1/5
There was no hot water to take a shower then the toilet stopped working. In addition to blood on the curtain. Do not recommend terrible
- 2/5
Check in was good with Ms. Leslie, the room was very clean. We stayed while it snowed in Memphis meaning the hotel had its staff staying in the hotel. On the first night there wasn't any hot water. I had to call down to front desk and by the tone of the front desk clerk I could tell i was being a bother already. We go down for breakfast the next day we felt uncomfortable to eat because certain staff members were watching our every move my husband was on a walker and they were side eyeing each other. On the last day of check out i left the key card in the room i had to go and get another card once again front desk clerk had an attitude this was a different clerk. The only good part was the breakfast clerk on the last day of check out Jan 29, 2026. She made me feel better about being their cause everyone else had nasty attitudes. Staff isn't professional at all, the breakfast attendant on Jan 29, 2026, was very positive as i expressed my concerns about the hotel making me feel better about staying there. I really appreciate her kind words; they need more staff like her. Because their staff isn't professional at all.
- 3/5
The hotel is dated and the floor we stayed on smelled like cigarettes smoke. Our room was clean and fairly basic. For the price and locations, it’s not bad.
- 4/5
The staff working there are nice, but the building are old. Linking water from ceilings.
- 3/5
We had prepaid for our stay but had to leave early due to a winter storm. We requested a refund for the unused nights, citing the weather conditions beyond our control, but the hotel ultimately declined. While we understand policies exist, it would have been appreciated if the hotel had shown more flexibility and understanding in this situation. Overall, the stay was okay, but these issues and the lack of accommodation for the weather-related early departure left us a bit disappointed.
- 5/5
The room was very nice!
- 5/5
The staff are friendly and helpful. Especially the Bernadette and Shawn from front desk. All the breakfast team are excellent too. Many of them stay over nights in the snow storm days to keep the breakfasts running well.
- 5/5
Very Spacy and friendly staff.
- 5/5
clean room good food, each thing perfect
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff were very courteous.
- 4/5
I am a long-time volunteer for the annual International Blues Challenge. The location is a little further from Beale Street than I usually stay (about a 14 minute walk), but otherwise the hotel is a reasonably priced option with room conveniences including refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea maker and ironing board. It is very quiet except for 2-3 times a day when the train comes by along the river. Plenty of (paid) parking for those who need it.
- 5/5
Good breakfast menu
- 5/5
However, the staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Great staff convenient to Beale
- 5/5
Will stay there again soon
- 5/5
Staff friendly, breakfast good, room clean and comfortable. Darrell in the front helped with directing us on receiving transportation, big thank you
- 4/5
Our room window was by main street. Motorcycles, hemi's racing all night. Gun shots nearby, but there was security there. Overall OK
- 5/5
Omg, i don't even know where to start. The staff at this hotel are incredible and went out of their way to organise our room before check in. If you want to experience amazing service and friendly faces, this is a place for you. Memphis is amazing and we will definitely go back.
- 5/5
Rooms are excellent. Customer service was amazing and fast.
- 3/5
Could be cleaner, food left on our window ledge. A lot of employees who like to sit around and visit with each other. Garage elevator goes to all floors, no security.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly, I was traveling with my granddaughter 4 year old and they helped me with a fast check in even helped me keep a eye on her well I did,
- 4/5
It was qll fine
- 4/5
Everything was clean, the staff seemed courteous and friendly, and the breakfast was okay. The parking garage was convenient as well, especially given the location. The meh: The style and general "feel" of the place was a bit older. We went in the winter, so the pool was closed, which meant the terrace was locked. This meant that the only things that made it feel different from a motel 6 was the breakfast and maybe the tiny workout area. Conclusion: Overall a pleasant experience, but could possibly be a little cheaper for what you get. Not by much mind you, but a bit. You could go to a motel and save 1-200 if you plan on sleeping in and dont mind less privacy.
- 3/5
Breakfast and room
- 3/5
Travelocity listed free parking. It was $13. Our room was listed as first floor. We were on the 14th. Neither was a particular problem but the staff’s attitude was abysmal. Anyhow, our stay was okay but definitely not outstanding.
- 5/5
Clean room staff was very nice
- 5/5
Staff were all helpful and friendly.
- 5/5

The room was large and comfy! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel was nice and clean, nice staff and room is clean. Thank you!
- 4/5
The elevator was not working so we have to take the stairs up to 10th floor, and we have to pay for parking. However, breakfast was good and they have bacon.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff!
- 4/5
Staff was great! Great breakfast as well
- 1/5
Almost everything gone when we got there and we weren’t to late it took awhile before they brought coffee and more eggs When we got there only 1 elevator worked when we got up to leave there was no elevator service we were on 14 floor I had to take two trips down with luggage
- 2/5
Elevator quit working and we had to walk 14 floors up and down. Only one of the two were in operation and then it stopped working. Technician said they refused earlier to fix the one, but had no choice when the other quit too. No sorry, were told to be thankful we were awake and above the dirt. No compensation. Internet wasn’t working either.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
The staff was courteous. But the breakfast was not restocked when depleted.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean amd large. Really appreciated the combining rooms since traveling with older parents
- 3/5
Had to pay for parking daily, room wasn't that clean there was hair in tub and poop smeared on wall. Staff wasn't very helpful when u were able to find them
- 1/5
El elevador a los cuartos tiene acceso al estacionamiento, cualquiera puede entrar a los pisos de habitaciones. Es inseguro y ruidoso, esta suvio, huele a orines. Algo me picaba en la cama mientras dormia
- 5/5
Everything and staff was great!! Parking lot is kind of janky but perfect location. Parking extra $14
- 4/5
Staff was awesome (front desk, security, cleaning, & especially workers in breakfast area). My room was spacious, clean, bed comfortable, parking garage with reasonable rates. Food options were nice. Drink station was not working. Only option was milk; wish they would have had pitchers of water as an option. I am lactose intolerant; options were a challenge for me. Rooms need a little remodeling. Pool could be worked on; several rusty spots (was not planning to swim since it was December). Pretty much right off of I-40. Served it’s purpose for 1 night. Visited Civil Rights Museum; very close to hotel. Recommend eating at Central BBQ; think that was the name.
- 4/5
I couldn’t sleep very well due to the hardness of the bed mattress. Hopefully when I return in the future my stay will be much better.
- 3/5
The staffing could have been a little more nicer with greeting and informing us about our check out time. We did end up going a little past ( about 30 mins) BUT at 12 on the dot we received a call and it was no greeting or anything just “ yall coming down or no?” I told her we were packing up as we spoke. Not even 5 mins later, house keeping comes to the door, eating a sucker and with no greeting said “ yall got a late check out ? “. When we did come down they didn’t ask us about our stay or to even have a good rest of our day.
- 5/5
The rooms were so quiet! The place was clean.
- 5/5
We liked the room and the staff behavior towards us very nice. In future also we will prefer staying here
- 5/5
We were on the first floor in one of the executive business suites and The jetted tub was the best thing for me and my spouse! We stayed there only one night, and that tub got used more than once and it was so relaxing! The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast (ESPECIALLY THE WAFFLES) was really good. We would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Was able to park close and area was clean. Comfortable room. Would stay again

- 5/5
Room was spacious, clean, staff was friendly, location was perfect
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean, nice breakfast. Very walkable to pyramid and downtown attractions. Nice secure parking lot.
- 2/5
Paper thin walls, the heater made a squeeling noise the entire time. Also, people hollering in the halls all night. Hateful staff at the breakfast area and the bathroom is so uncomfortably tiny. I am a little surprised at why expedia recommends this as an excellent hotel. This is the 3rd time in Memphis and the worst place i ha e ever stayed.
- 5/5
Excellent service and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
I especially appreciated the kind check-in person and entire staff. They were genuinely caring.
- 5/5
Great stay!!! No complaints
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, right by Highway with a ground floor room. Perfect.
- 3/5
The check-in experience was great! Then, we asked for an extra blanket and pillow. We were told that they didn’t have any when we called the front desk. The next day, a very friendly gentleman on the cleaning staff said they indeed did have extra and retrieved those for us. Our duvet cover appeared to have a couple hairs on it so we removed it from our bed. The rest of the bed coverings were fine. We also found a pill and several beads on the floor so it appeared that it wasn’t vacuumed very well. This hotel is in a great location for walking and/or short uber rides.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Delightful customer service. Clean room.
- 5/5
Great service. Friendly staff!
- 5/5
Nice staff and rooms
- 4/5
Breakfast was good with variety of options including Chobani and oatmeal. The room was clean and quiet. It was very close to Renasant Convention Center where my conference was going on. The only problem I had was very slow Internet. In general, I was satisfied with staying here.
- 4/5
The lady who checked me in and out was the best. I didnt get her name but when i return it will mostly be because of her. She was like a good bartender who remembers your name and what you are all about.
- 5/5
Yes , however the halls are dark and gloomy. Staff is super sweet
- 5/5
Perfect location for the price
- 4/5
Poor for money

Great location and serviced..
- 5/5
The room was wonderful with a wonderful view of the riverfront. The appliances worked. The room was updated. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location was great to lots of things like restaurants, stores and close to getting to the FedEx forum. Would definitely come back to this hotel again for a longer stay.
- 4/5
The hotel and services were good, room nice, breakfast good.
- 5/5
Clean,
- 3/5
Parking was a nightmare and sketchy for late check in. Desk agent was nice. Breakfast was so so. If was nice to grab a muffin on the way out. No bottled water and juice machine was dirty and out anyway. Beds aren’t great so didn’t sleep well and rooms are very dated with nasty carpet being your shower shoes and your own fan because when you turn the a/c on it smells like dirty gym socks. It wasn’t bad for a quick overnight stay but definitely not worth The almost $200 I paid. Will look at other places when downtown next time.
- 5/5
I will be booking with them again. It was the cleanest room I’ve ever been in. Breakfast was great too. You are literally downtown right by everything.
- 5/5
Good staff, service, and people, thank you
- 5/5
Personable staff. Clean room. Convenient location to Beale St and River Park
- 5/5
Variety of breakfast items, eggs, biscuits, cereal, waffles. Parking is under hotel in the hotels parking garage.
- 2/5
It did not say when booking we would have to pay for parking. It did not say the pool was not in service. And there were homeless people sleeping on the benches outside. Did not feel very safe!
- 5/5
👍
- 3/5
We stay 2 nights and they didn’t make the bed all they did was pulled the cover over the bed that was wrong. Beside that the breakfast was very good and they over taxed us and charge us for parking at the hotel that was wrong.
- 5/5
Clean room. Healthy and fresh breakfast choices. Secure parking. Friendly and attentive staff.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. It was a comfortable walk to Beale Street and good BBQ. The parking was convenient.
- 5/5
I liked the room. I haven’t gotten the chance to eat breakfast yet but everything else has been great
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Very nicely maintained and comfortable. Parking garage very secure.
- 4/5
Didn’t make it to breakfast, but the room was nice, with plenty of space to do my homework

- 3/5
I felt the parking area was safe. Breakfast was good, parking was easy and staff was helpful and kind
- 4/5
Large room, in convenient position in memphis about 10/15 minutes walk from Beale street. Free breakfast and reasonably proced parking.
- 5/5
Great lovation to see Sun Records and STAX Records
- 5/5
Wife didnt like the bed
- 4/5
Parking area dirty and very old building.
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice and helpful getting extra towels or giving directions to places.
- 5/5
I enjoy it was close to the water and rooftop pool
- 4/5
Breakfast was
- 5/5
Close to all the attractions I wanted to see in Memphis. Safe area for walking around and close to the Mississippi River.
- 4/5
It was an okay stay, nothing to get excited about, but for one night it was okay.
- 3/5
The rooms were clean and plenty of washcloth and towels. The dining area seem to be clean. Got out of my two day stay they hardly had any food prepared. They were serving a variety upon food, but the only thing they seem to have both days or sausages. They ran out of everything I didn’t come to breakfast late, so that was not the case.
- 5/5
Best place we ate at was the Mahogany River Terrace restaurant on Mud Island. Upscale but reasonably price. Great view of the water. Friendly staff and Very Good food!
- 4/5
Convenient location, easy parking with a direct elevator to all floors of the hotel, and helpful friendly staff. It’s an older property but the room was nicely refurbished and had a great view of the river.
- 5/5
Room very clean, staff very very friendly and nice.
- 5/5
The Comfort Inn is ideally located next to the Mud Island Bridge and within a 15 minute walk of Beale Street. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast was outstanding. The hotel is a great value.
- 5/5
We felt very safe and the staff were so nice! We will stay here again.
- 5/5
Would stay again. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Clean and Quiet.
- 4/5
Great location. Walked to Beale Street
- 5/5
Great location, hotel in Great condition, clean comfortable rooms and bed. Easy parking.
- 4/5
The front desk staff were exceptional and very personable. I enjoyed my stay and will recommend the Comfort Inn Downtown.
- 5/5
Staff very polite, welcoming, helpful. Room very clean, comfortable beds, good bed linen. Breakfast very good, good choice of hot and cold options. Very good location, within walking distance of Beale Street.
- 5/5
Our room was large, comfortable and well appointed. Parking was safe and in a garage underneath the hotel. Breakfast was above average. The hotel is right downtown, within walking distance of restaurants, the river, and some sites. All in all, would stay here again.
- 5/5
Good location and only a short walk from Beale St.
- 5/5
Our room was very spacious. The only complaint i can think of.is we didnt like that the window looked directly out onto sidewalk and the street.
- 4/5
Windows were not dark enough so others couldn’t see in
- 5/5
Difficult check in parking and entering. Had no idea what to do. Almost hit a car when I attempted to back up from a gate not knowing I could not enter. Bad experience. Otherwise my stay was fine.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was attentive.
- 4/5
The beefs were extremely small the parking garage was old and not big truck friendly. One thing I can say is the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. After the second night we asked if we could park up front because we damaged a rim trying to get out of the tight garage exit
- 2/5
Room was supposed to be a queen size and they stuck me in an extra small room with a twin bed. Then said we will have one for you next time you stay.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms and grounds—receptionist were very good.
- 5/5
We were late getting to our hotel and everyone was tired.
- 5/5
Everything is the way it should be My opinion 5 Stars!!!
- 5/5
Perfect
- 4/5
And good bed
- 4/5
Property is dated but other than that, excellent! Room is clean, like that there is a fridge and microwave. Nice view from the room. Would stay here again. Love that breakfast is offered also!
- 2/5
Staff was friendly. Pool was basic. But bed rooms were not as expected we saw a roach in the drawer.
- 5/5
Nice place. The staff was nice.
- 5/5
Comfort Inn Downtown Memphis is on the top of my list when it comes to hotels in Memphis to stay. You will not regret staying here if you want to stay in the Downtown area. You get cleanliness, good complimentary breakfast, good consistent housekeeping, one of the safest hotels I've seen Downtown with good working plumbing and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! not to mention the closeness to popular Downtown attractions. There are two Ladies at the service desk: Tequa and Leslie. These two were great. They took great care of my wife and I. Their customer service is what you want to experience, they are naturally kind and professional and care about your comfort. I feel these two and all the staff I've interacted with there deserve a high raise and have a good welcoming spirit and culture. I recommend this hotel without a thought.
- 5/5
The room was clean, if a bit dated. AMAZING water pressure in the shower. The staff was beyond accommodating. Would definitely stay again and recommend highly.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean, very nice. Staff was very helpful. It is aging just a bit, but overall, I would recommend it.
- 5/5
It was really nice specially the breakfast every day. It was yummy
- 5/5
We were pleasantly surprised with the level of comfort for this stay. The pool is on a terrace, and the breakfast was ample and had a good variety. Staff was professional and accommodating, if not super welcoming.
- 5/5
Comfort Inn Downtown Memphis is close to Beal Street, the Memphis Grizzles NBA team and the Rock and Soul Museum along with an abundance of restaurants and memorable shopping stores that depicts the history of Memphis. The Stax Museum is about 10 to 15 minutes away from downtown. We enjoyed our time there. If you want to be near the attractions, plus have a good wholesome breakfast to start your day, this hotel is for you. The staff is really nice and helpful and the rooms are clean.
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 4/5
The stay was pleasant, breakfast was always great, many options, the hotel is just a little old needs some updating
- 5/5
The staff is really nice and helpful. I had a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
It was roomy and comfortable. Great breakfast.
- 4/5
…
- 5/5
Great hotel! Very clean and comfortable. Had a rooftop pool that looked out over the Mississippi River and the Bass Pyramid. Right off of I-40 and about a 10-15 minute walk to Beale St.
- 3/5
Fan in bathroom not working, that. Is required
- 4/5
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The view of the river was great! Breakfast was nice. The pool was good.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was amazing! And the breakfast was good too!
- 3/5
The staff was amazing the. Parking garage and area around was horrible
- 2/5
Staff were rude. Bathroom was filthy. Breakfast was horrible. Food trays were empty Coffee empty no forks. Asked staff and they completely ignored me. Asked front desk and was told that’s not my department ask the kitchen staff. Then asked for a receipt at checkout and was told there computers were down. Asked for a manager and was told there was not one on site. Never again. Worst stay ever
- 3/5
All employees make this place a positive experience! Friendly and helpful. Specially the ladies that serve breakfast, they are both hard working and pleasant! The property needs to be updated, staff tries to make the best, but sofa and rugs must be updated.( our sofa was very dirty) Housekeeping did a great job with what they have. Location is very desolated… wondering who works in all of those buildings, never saw employees coming and going anywhere during rush hour. A few people walking, some renovations are being done around but we didn’t feel safe walking. Hotel is in a central location, we decided to drive vs. walking. It was a great budget hotel for Elvis week, and breakfast choices were good.
- 3/5
Parking garage needs renovation
- 5/5
Breakfast options were a bit sparce at times. Some things ran out and weren't replaced, at least not for a while.
- 5/5
Great place to stay and an easy parking garage to find. On the down side, there were a couple stairs to get luggage from the car to the elevator! That was the only down side though.
- 5/5
Breakfast is always awesome Bed sleeps so comfortable everything was perfect
- 5/5
Convenient to the Pyramid and Beale street.
- 4/5
Nice bed and good food options within walking distance. The city could do a better job of street/sidewalk cleaning
- 5/5
Room was excellent!
- 5/5
Great employees
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous and accommodating.
- 5/5
Loved the breakfast.

- 4/5
The property was well maintained and the room was good. The property is a little further away from the Beale Street area than I thought it would be but still walkable
- 5/5
Comfortable, easy access.
- 5/5
The hotel was convenient to the museums and activities. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good. The facility was very clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Memphis
- 3/5
Prices was ridiculous for the room to be average very underwhelmed!!!
- 4/5
Para el precio está bien, solo que es un poco viejo el edificio, la puerta del baño estaba un poco levantada en una esquina y el aire acondicionado es antiguo y un poco ruidoso, no mantiene la habitación tan fría… de resto todo bien.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and free parking
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet. The service was friendly.
- 5/5
Kind staff
- 5/5
Friendly staff with an attention to detail.
- 3/5
This stay was just so so, the staff was mostly apathetic with regards to making it a wonderful fri
- 4/5
The property itself is dated, but it's been redone at least fairly recently and is kept in good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room felt clean, and the amenities were as expected and everything worked. It was in easy walking distance of the convention center, and not a hard walk to Beale Street. Would definitely stay again if I needed to go to Memphis.
- 4/5
Lots of construction going on
- 5/5
I stayed here with my three kids and had a comfortable, safe experience. The pool was enjoyable and well-stocked with clean towels. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and guest services were prompt and helpful whenever I needed assistance.
- 3/5
Decent place walking distance to Beale street
- 2/5
I had to drive a mile to get work done .
- 5/5
Great desk clerks gave valuable tips on local attractions. AC worked very well. Sink area needs to add a towel bar. Internet was slow and didn’t work at all sometimes. Room was comfortable with a nice view. Elevators were fast. Breakfast was fabulous.
- 5/5
Loved being able to see Mississippi river from my room. And the bridge at night. Loved the pool on high floor. Very clean and smell good room. Loved the gradage parking.
- 2/5
Unexpected parking fees on property, not clean, reserved two queen beds and got two full sized beds with mattresses that needed to be thrown away a LONG time ago. Bathroom floor and carpet very soiled. Very uncomfortable old musty smell, smoking right by door entrance causing it to smell like a smoking facility. I can’t believe this place got such high reviews, it was pretty bad.
- 5/5
This Comfort Inn is one of the best ones that I’ve stayed at. The king room was amazingly clean, spacious, quiet. The staff were all so kind and helpful especially Leslie at the front desk. Breakfast had a variety of everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again next time.
- 5/5
It was a nice property. Views were great, walkable to downtown, bathroom was clean. The only downfall was a dirty upholstered chair that we didn't want to sit on, leaving one of us to have to sit on the bed.
- 5/5
Visited Memphis on the Busy July 4th holiday weekend and enjoyed our stay. Got to enjoy the fireworks watching from our room. The complementary breakfast was delicious and the hotel staff were amazing.
- 4/5
A short and mostly pleasant overnight stay. Excellent location in downtown Memphis that’s short walk to Beale Street. Very nice view on 9th floor. Fitness room is super tiny. Parking was convenient. Front desk staff was always pleasant. Some of the hotel staff was unpleasant and didn’t speak when spoken to but others were polite. Room was clean but very worn down in places. Would probably try a different hotel in the area to compare if/when we return to Memphis.
- 4/5
The staff and customer service at this hotel were amazing! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The room itself could use some updating - toilet handle had to be held down extra long to flush, air conditioning won't go below 70 and takes a long time to get there, etc. The location was a little off the beaten path, but we knew that going in and it was still centrally located to a lot of the touristy things we wanted to do in Memphis. We enjoyed the pool as well. Overall, we felt like we got our money's worth and had a great stay!
- 5/5
I loved the pool. I enjoyed the breakfast, but if i ever come back to memphis od stay here again because of the staff regardless of who you spoke to you were greeted with a smile and shown respect
- 5/5
Staff was amazing!
- 4/5
Good overall. Excellent staff. The building was a bit old, and the shower curtain was too small to prevent water splattering. Would visit again
- 3/5
The check-in and front desk employees were very friendly. The room seemed run-down, but clean. Breakfast is supposed to go until 10am, but if you aren’t down there before 9, there won’t be any food. If you aren’t finished eating by 10, rude cleaning staff kicks you out of the eating area, without letting you finish your food.
- 5/5
You could tell that they truly took pride in their property. Definitely would stay there again.
- 5/5
We felt safe during the day but were told it was not safe after 7
- 4/5
Breakfast had hot options, but the fruit was pretty much entirely gone by 8:30am. The breakfast uses plastic ware which is very wasteful (we bring our own reusable cutlery). Staff was friendly for the most part. The elevator was broken at the basement level and you’d have to call for service, and the number on the paper didn’t seem to be correct.
- 4/5
Room was clean and the staff were friendly. Decent location in downtown.
- 1/5
I never checked in and they charged me anyways. They owe me $145 and I'm not kidding.
- 5/5
Liked rooftop pool
- 4/5
It all good
- 5/5
My overall stay was great. Room and bathroom was very clean beds made no stinky smells anywhere. Parking garage was ok
- 3/5
It was cozy
