No staff upon arrival. Waited 15 minutes, got dinner and returned. The place reeked of marijuana and stale cigarettes. The clerk showed us 3 rooms, all in various stages of unkempt and/or broken items. We took option3. It only had a filthy microwave, burner on, falling curtains, no smoke detector and missing closet rod, so it seemed to be the best choice. We were to be here 2 nights. We cancelled the 2nd night’s stay and after speaking to the manager the next day, she agreed to refund the 2nd night.

This place is horrible. After going in the first room where nothing worked, they gave me another room and things didn’t work in it either. The guy at the desk was rude and I wanted my money back he refused. The appliances was rusty and roaches everywhere. I would tell anyone to find you any place but here to stay.

How big the room was Didn't like that my fiancé's car was broken into and his wallet and things were stolen. Also other guests windows were busted out.Had to keep a good eye on our vehicles

This was the worst experience I've had and I will never stay at this hotel ever again.The advertisement and pics of the place are false and misleading. The 1st room we were in the refrigerator, stove and lights didn't work. The 2nd room the curtains were falling down, there were red spots all over the walls, the TV remote had something that looked like someone threw up all over it. And the bathroom was invested with roaches. If you come across this property don't believe the pics, the rooms and property doesn't look any like the pics.

This is by far the worst property I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms were messy, staff was inconsiderate nor understanding and the showerhead was acting up. Also the check time process was very very slow when leaving. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that is trying to stay here.

These people are ripp offs they charge you to use your credit card, the housekeeper only comes to give you clean sheets and towels 1 day out of the week and thats on fridays only, she owners son and daughter a very very rude please dont stay here because its terrible the rooms where nasty upon me checking in moved to another room and it was nasty as well they have roaches really really bad, they have mold in there restroom tub and it overall a terrible stay highly DO NOT RECOMMEND.

There was no elevator for diabled use. I had to drag my suitcase up the steps. I didn't have a blanket, the towels weren't clean there was hair in wash cloths and little bugs flying around. And no microwave. I had to have my keycard reactivated twice for some reason and not able to feel secure

Absolutely filthy, was moved to another room and it was filthy as well.

Maps shows that this establishment is permanently closed. I called and was advised that they were open. When I arrived, everything in the area looked closed down. After getting checked in an assigned a room, I saw that the floors had been stripped in the hallways. There was no elevator and bringing up my bags was in question. When I got to my room, I struggled to operate the 3 remotes that controlled the tv. There was no phone, so I had to make several trips to the front desk for assistance. One trip, my key card became inoperable and awarded me another trip from the 3rd floor. I was so tired from traveling I went out to eat and brought food back to reheat the next day. Next day comes, I wake up to stink bugs flying around the room. There was no cold water in my bathroom sink. I had to brush my teeth in the tub as I needed the mirror door my routine. It was very inconvenient. I went to heat my food and the microwave was inoperable. I had to leave for work at 6:30a and made sure the front desk clerk was aware that I needed the microwave replaced so I could save money for dinner since I now had to purchase breakfast and there was no continental or complimentary breakfast at this location. The rate was not worth my troubles. I returned from work and my key was inoperable. The front desk had no clue I needed another microwave. It was a nightmare and I was exhausted, but I know from experience that refunds are even more exhausting from services like Expedia offers.

The roaches came out the doors inside the door following me. Someone had a cat under there bed and someone said they saw fleas jumping. three other people canceled their reservation while we were in the lobby!! Service very rude didn’t not want to help, and acted as if the bugs were normal.

Red paint (I guess) marks all along side of table and TV table. Had table on which to eat but only chair in room was an easy chair--too low. Light bulbs looked to be about 20 watt--too dark to read. Stove burners looked like they had dried up scum on them. Two TV remotes required half an hour to finally get a picture on TV. Closet had no hangers at all. Pillows were way too thin. Side of table had red scribbling on it--paint or ?. Top of TV table had same red markings. Any motel with 3 floors needs an elevator.

I woke up to roaches crawling in my bed and on me in my shoes and in my clothes. This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at in my 30 years of traveling and when i told the guy at the front desk he acted as if it were normal and told mw to request a refund from hotels.com this property should be closed down foe unsafe living conditions.

They provided an extremely thin blanket and refused to provide an extra one. They gave you one face towel and one dry towel. It was not clean, but the service desk did allow late checkout so that’s a plus.

There was cabint drawers missing with metal that scratched me almost every time I went pass it. There was so many bugs every where.The refrigerator had bugs in it and the top of it was co ered with bugs. The signs by the door had over 20 bugs on it and around it to greet you as you entered the room. The bathroom was dirty and there was no towels available. No remote for TV..I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

It was horrible. Not worth the price, lost information needed for deposit which that shouldn't even be asked for. Door always open. The giest above us continued to be disrespectful all night long. Front desk acted to care but they continued to do the same loud noises even during checkout. Cant enjoy your trip was horrible.

There was piles of crumbs and little pieces of trash all in the halls, the room doors do not have an inside lock and the key reader on the door works when it wants to. A gun was pulled on an employee. A lot of traffic all throughout the night. The facility said it was a no smoking facility but there were literal cigarettes butts on the arm rails inside. They give 1 towels for two guests. The photos online are NOTHING like what they look like in person. The laundry room was a disaster. Do not stay here.

The room itself was clean, but that is the best thing I can say about it. The lobby and hallways were filthy, garbage on the floor. The room , while clean, had electric outlets hanging from the wall, not properly installed, the was exactly 1 hanger in a closet with no doors. The towel/ linens (ha) were threadbare, pretty useless. I am very surprised that Sonesta would allow its name on a site like this.

Terrible staff & property. Really bad experience, we booked a room & after reaching the property they say no availability. No one will respond to phone cals and hear us out.

The property didn’t look anything like the photos online. The hallways and the stairwells were very dirty and smelled like smoke. The hallway by my room had a big hole in the ceiling with a cone in the middle of the hallway. There were roaches in the closet area dead on the floor.

The staff was very friendly, but the first room they gave us smelled of cigarette smoke. We were given another room which smelled fine. The problems became evident as our stay continued. First when my wife turned back the sheets, we discovered wrinkled sheets with stains consistent with the bed being used for sex before we got there. We used our emergency bedding that we keep in our car after we stripped the stained sheets off the bed. When we went to take our showers in the morning, the shower diverter in the tub spout was leaking so much that we barely got water out of the showerhead. To add to the problem, the tub drained so slowly that the water was above my ankles before I could finish my shower. My wife actually gave up on using the showerhead and used a cup to pour water over herself. I reported the issues with the shower to the lady at the front desk at checkout. My observations are that this could be a nice place to stay with more attention to maintenance and more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms. They have signs at every entrance about their no smoking policy. I find it hard to believe that the cleaning personnel would not notice that a room smelled of smoke or that bed sheets are stained. Also it is hard to believe that plumbing issues such as we experienced could get that bad without being noticed. If I didn't live 3 hours away, I would offer my services as a maintenance man because I think this building needs a lot of little things checked and repaired.

The location was not far from the area in which I was visiting. The outside was clean. Several guest were hanging out at the lobby door as if it was a neighborhood stoop. This made me feel uncomfortable to pass them. The entire first floor smelled of marijuana. My room was not clean. The floor had not been swept. Crumbs, dirt and old bugs were left in the room and bathroom. A towel had been used to clean the surfaces which had left huge smears and trash on the mirrors and tv. The tub had melted soap and whatever cleaner used had not been rinsed out. I opened my towels and a roach came out. Needless to say, I had to make do by buying some cleaners and sprays for my 2 day stay. I didn’t complain to staff because I wasn’t gonna be spending too much time in the room. My remote dud kit work. It was a room to stay just to get through the weekend. Not a place I’d ever stay again.

Von checked us in. She was amazing. The hotel and location was not good. Old, run-down building. Heard gunshots at night. The room was cleaning, so cleaning crew was good. I do not plan on returning.

If you need a semi cheap place to stay, it might work. I stayed because I’m a truck driver and needed a drive break because of time rules. But I would never stay there unless it was an emergency 😩

When I arrived the door was locked drove 6hrs back home with 3 kids only to be told there were no rooms qvailable despite me having a prepaid reservation. The lady at the front desk was very defensive and down right rude despite me telling her that Im not blaming her for the mistake she wouldnt listen. Even went so far as to call the manager as if I was getting irate with her. All I even asked her was she goi g ro inform hotels.com about there being no vacancy so that I could get a refund or transfer. Needless to say there were no rooms available anywhere being that it was NYE. So we slept in my car praying not to get shot by a stray bullet from some fool who probably isnt supposed to even have a gun to begin with. Dont waste your time with this hotel they dont want anyone who is not familiar staying there.

After being on the road for 12 hours, my husband and I finally got to the hotel to check in and was told that our room was given away and that there was no available room for us. Absolutely unacceptable since we had a reservation and the money was already taken out of our account. It was in the middle of the night and we still had 9 hours to drive until our final destination.

The front desk staff was AMAZING! Very helpful and polite. The cleaning staff did an aweful job at cleaning the room and keeping trash outside empty the four days I was there.

This hotel had garbage piled in the stairwells the whole trip and this was the only way to get to the rooms on the upper levels. Also trash was overflowing for 2 days straight, still hadn’t been changed when we left. Blood was covering our covers in our room, the changed us to another room which was even worse off and looked like someone sprayed the fire distinguisher all over the room, the 3rd room we got changed to was nasty also but by this time we gave up. I reached out to corporate while there multiple times and never once got a call or email back.

My room was on bottom floor and window lock was broke. Toilet seat was about to fall off toilet. Room not very clean at all. Whole environment was noisy. Back door of hotel was propped open almost every time I went in and out. Just a lot of safety issues in my opinion. Will never stay at this hotel again.

The room was not even remotely ready for occupancy. Bed had no sheets, cover nor pillows. Bags of garbage were left. Cleaning products squirted on walls in bathroom -and left there. Mop left in bathroom. Windows open with curtains bunched up over the top of the rods. The place was dirty and uninhabitable. Drawers were askew, as was the TV. Did not even look in the kitchen. It actually looked like someone had started to clean then dropped everything and walked out.

The person at the front desk was really nice but that was about the only positive thing I can say about my stay. The hallways had a weird smell and the room was passable. The bed was hard as a rock. The bedside lights didn’t work so the only available light was from one of the 2 main ceiling lights by the entry door. Half the drawers didn’t open and there was no remote for the tv. The alarm clock didn’t even work. Definitely not ever planning to stay here again when I travel to Memphis. Thank goodness I was only staying for the night and sleeping there but it was so bad I almost left to find other lodging.

I’ve been staying at this property a couple times but this particular time I arrived and none was at the front desk . I had a reservation but I had to go elsewhere due to none being at the front desk .

The lobby was clean but the room had a huge hole in the wall & another behind the door in the bath room. There was no toiletries besides soap. The carpet was beyond filthy. I had to wear my shoes. There was no elevator so its not handicap accessible.

The property is quite but I didnt' have an ice bucket, or and plastic cups which is ok I guess I didn't know that it had a full kitchen. I know now that next time I can be more prepared.

When I arrived at the Hotel they had no rooms available. They said I would have to take it up with Expedia. Expedia need to take this Hotel off of it's listing. Take them all off, it they can not honor your agreement. I had to find another hotel at 4:00 Friday afternoon in Memphis.

Shower water knob didn’t work and all you could use was really hot water and there was no blanket only bed sheets on the bed so night was cold, I guess it is a cheap safe hotel for one night, that’s all. Staff checking in was nice and friendly, staff checking out felt more like they would rather do anything else but that.. Overall I would book again if I could not find better in Memphis because it’s safe and conveniently located unless the first hotel I had booked that I decided to run away from

I like the convenience of it having a full stove kitchen but that was it. The room was nasty and dirty. Everything was either torn or missing. I went to plug up my phone charger and the socket blew blowing out the clock. We had to ask for a new comforter because the one we had was nasty. The closet curtain covering was torn down but still halfway hanging. Bathroom was moldy n dirty. Floor had red stains was hoping it wasn’t blood. And there was some white lady when we first got there to do an early check whom was rude af. NEVER GOING AGAIN..and these places are normally okay to stay

I had a wonderful time staying at the hotel. It was in a nice part of town and there were plenty of amenities nearby.

I had to request two new rooms. Each room had cabinets broken or damaged. I was never given face towels and only hand and dry towels. When I asked for towels i was told they did not have any. I had to wait 20 minutes for toilet paper. The halls smelled of mildew. There isn’t an elevator so carrying luggage to the 3rd floor was tedious. I saw other residents climbing in and out of windows, fights in the parking lot, and heard shootings. My tub was not cleaned. The bathroom sink leaked constantly. I would not recommend.

the first room we were given was filthy, the front desk manager quickly got us another room that was 'upgraded'. the room was decent for the price. absolutely no kitchen utensils or cooking supplies were in the room at all. Had to ask for towels, we were told they were dirty but they would wash some for us. finally got a call at 12:30 when we were already in bed asleep that towels were clean. for a no smoking hotel the place reeked of marijuana non stop in the hallways. the last day we stayed we ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex in the room and were told that the hotel didnt have any and were waiting on a truck to come in so we had to go buy our own. overall the price was decent for the space and the kitchen but luckily we had a busy trip and didn't have to spend long in the room during our 3 day stay.

Thebstay was amazing most of the staff was great i ran into one unpleasant employee on my last day there. Wednesday evening 12/5/2018 she was the front desk clerk and that was my first time seeing her in my 2week stay she was ruuuude And argumentative. She didn't have a name tag on so i couldn't get her name.

I made my reservation through Expedia a month and a half before my trip but when I arrived at the hotel to check in I was told that they had no rooms available. I let the front desk staff know that I had a reservation through Expedia and they stated that Expedia cannot see what rooms they have available. I let the lady at the desk know that i had just flown in from another state and have 2 small children (3 & 1) traveling with me and I needed my room. All she was able to do for me was tell me to call Extended Stay America reservation line to see if they have a room available at another location. Luckily there was another Extended Stay America near by on Kirby and Mt. Moriah that had rooms available but I also had a bad experience with them. The refrigerator was loud and was annoying in the night, they gave me a room with only one queen bed knowing I had 2 children with me, and the bin of kitchenware they gave me had dishes with food stuck on them, nasty smelling water sitting at the bottom of the bin, the microwave was disgusting, and the floors were dirty. If you needed to call the front desk you had to use your cell phone because there were no phones in the room either. Honestly don't think I'm going to use Expedia anymore after this.

I like it I just didn’t like that you had to walk to the front of the building to get new towels and stuff because no one comes around to change them out
