Reviews
Guests generally enjoy their stay at this hotel, praising its proximity to Beale Street and the FedEx Forum. The staff is often described as friendly and helpful. However, some guests express frustration with incidental holds and parking fees, as well as issues with room cleanliness and maintenance.
- Excellent location near Beale Street and FedEx Forum
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Unexpected incidental holds and expensive parking fees
- Issues with room cleanliness and maintenance
- 5/5
My family and I stayed during the New Edition concert and the hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. It was straight across the street from the Forex forum. I definitely will stay here again. They had a bar and a restaurant inside the hotel.
- 5/5
Good service great place to stay
- 3/5
I love the Westin but this one needs some love. This place needs a deep clean. The carpets are dingy, there is a lingering smell. There was a weird dip in the bathroom floor and a shower curtain that doesn’t fit the Westin aesthetic. Water was not stopped by the curtain as it was too short. Water pulled in the floor. Unfortunate.

Can’t beat the location, right on Beale!
- 5/5
Cleanliness! The staff is so friendly also. Shout out to the valet team for being able to drive a Tesla.

I paid two breakfast on my reservation, when I did the check in no one advised that I need something to claim my breakfast, I paid for my breakfast again in the restaurant because nobody knows what to do in that case, In short, I paid for my breakfast twice—once included in my reservation, and a second time at the restaurant.

Great stay, lovely hotel. Wonderful customer care.
- 5/5
Came for a Beale Street long weekend. The Westin is the closest we could find with a nice room, good linens, and quiet halls in the evenings. We will stay again.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Located right at the foot of Beale Street.
- 5/5
Great hotel to visit in Memphis. Everything was very clean, and everyone was extremely friendly. The surrounding area also felt much safer, especially with the National Guard patrolling the streets at night.
- 3/5
The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was friendly. From our room you could hear music from the street late at night, so if you try to get to sleep early, staying here or anywhere on beale street probably wouldn't be the best choice. Showers/bathtubs need to be updated as well, but over all the room was clean and maintained.
- 5/5
Always clean and helpful staff anytime I’ve stayed here

Absolute wonderful location, just a block from Beale St. and a short walk to downtown to the north, the National Civil Rights Museum by the Lorraine Motel to the south, and multiple restaurants along Main St. to the west. The NBA Memphis Grizzlies and the Rock & Soul Museum are across the street. Sun and Stax Record Studio Museums are just 1 and 2 miles away. Hotel staff were welcoming and warm.

A great location near all the action. The bed is so comfortable, the stadium is next door and Beal street a block away. Nice restaurant and professional and kind staff.

The rooms were nice. Bathroom was spacious! The heat didn’t work. The $200 incidental fee.

The rooms were nice. Bathroom was spacious! The heat didn’t work. The $200 incidental fee.
- 4/5
I think it’s very important that you let the Public know when they stay with you that if they want a bottle of water that is 12 ounces in their room that water will cost over $11.00. It’s one thing to charge for beverage. It’s another thing to gouge your members and hotel guests. Turn down service used to be normal for a hotel of this class. I was sorry to see that go away.
- 5/5
Proximity to FedEx forum, and Beale street activities was the key factor for choosing and did not disappoint. Outstanding
- 5/5
Very convenient to event venue , property very nice

Rooms were spotless and comfortable beds. After leaving, I ordered some of the towels and will order sheets and bathrobes for me and my husband. Excellent choice if staying in the downtown area!

I was able to find food venues near by. Didn’t do any major shopping.

- 5/5
Good, we didn’t have any body wash in the shower is my only complaint. Love staying there though. Staff is great.
- 3/5
Courtside Grill-avoid if you want breakfast. We waited for over 10 minutes for someone just to greet us. After we were seated, it took more time, and the food was not good. I can't imagine how bad service really gets because they were not even busy. Westin, do better if you want to keep loyal customers.
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was friendly.

Customer service was great. Had a customer service Rep that helped me at the front desk can’t remember her name. She was awesome
- 5/5
From check-in your check-out to the restaurant and everyone every staff member was doing an amazing job. Thank you for helping my daughter. Enjoy her day.
- 5/5
Excellent location to the fed ex forum. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Clean room and the staff was excellent but I didn’t like the fact they put two different holds on my credit card.
- 3/5
CONS: This hotel is sub-par for a Westin. Hotel room is not very clean, hair in bed and all around shower. Shower has black mold in doors, tile is worn. Furniture is worn. Using the crevice tool on a vacuum could do this hotel wonders.
- 5/5
Had a great stay there. Hotel was clean, very polite staff and very helpful. Rooms are well stocked and comfortable. Enjoyed the restaurant on site, great food and servers.
- 5/5
Clean room good staff
- 5/5
It was a great stay
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious as well. I will definitely be returning!
- 5/5
Very nice room, close to arena and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
All staff was kind and helpful, beds comfortable, excellent location for basketball fans, the hotel seems to be a older Westin hotel and IMHO will need a refresher in the next few years
- 5/5
Yes All of the above!
- 3/5
No staff in the restaurant for lunch or dinner. On several occasions we waited in the restaurant hoping to eat. Several staff looked our way, but no one came over to help.
- 5/5
Staff friendliness
- 5/5
Had a great stay, it was a great hotel.
- 4/5
We did have a great housekeeper however and when we saw her in the hallway and asked for additional coffee, cups, water she was very accommodating and helpful.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and helpful and great location right by Beale street. Rooms were a nice size and clean.
- 4/5
Good size room, kind front desk staff. The bathroom was in desperate need of an update- shower stall leaked and puddled in the bathroom, faucet knob leaked, appeared worn and unclean
- 5/5
Clean room, perfect amenities. Bar and restaurant. I love the Westin but i do wish they had the buffet style breakfast like they did before Covid. At least my Westin stay in Dallas/denver did. I like not having to find a decent breakfast m/brunch spot when visiting other cities because I’d rather use that time to relax.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Everything is always wonderful, from valet to front desk to restaurant to housekeeping. Exceptional staff, they all deserve a raise.
- 5/5
Excellent location and staff. Room service and restaurant was understaffed and couldn't get served after Grizzlies game.
- 4/5
Hotel was great, room was amazing only thing one bed had broken glass in the bed
- 5/5
We went on a family trip to an NBA game. The hotel was 2min from the venue. We look forward to booking here again soon.
- 3/5
Convenient to walk across the street to FedEx Forum. Rooms dated and given a room adjacent to the elevator shaft. Could hear every time the elevator passed our floor. Booked a two queen room but was given a one king with a pull out sofa bed instead. Checking in with the Bonvoy app was basically useless as I still had to stop by the front desk for room keys.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and amenities
- 5/5
The westin service and hotel never disappoints. Build a larger hotel for conferences
- 4/5
It was excellent stay, only thing why I underrated it is because Wi-Fi is not free of charge and parking is overpriced.
- 5/5
Hotel was right across the street from where the Grizzlies play and the Rock and Soul museum. A block away from Beale St. and .4 miles from the Civil Rights Museum. Only had breakfast from the attached restaurant but the service was friendly and fast and the Shrimp and grits were amazing. Would stay here again
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was clean and in a great location!
- 1/5
Staff was rude, all you could hear every second all night was the elevator going back-and-forth back-and-forth so it was impossible to sleep. Anytime I addressed staff with an issue. I got a very rude and condescending attitude. Apparently, if you’re not rich or a sports star, you don’t get anyone being pleasant to you. The tub was disgusting, it was definitely dirty, and I took pictures. I had several issues when I got there, but obviously being met with condescending attitudes made me pretty much over even addressing the situation. The only reason I stayed there was because it was my son‘s birthday and we had tickets to the game because after about five minutes of being there, I was ready to leave. My prices that I was quoted were incorrect. I was not told I had to pay for parking, I was not told about a $200 hold for essentials that I did not use. I honestly can go on and on and on about how disgusted I am that I spent almost $700 on a hotel room when Motel 6 probably would’ve a better option. When I booked the room, I was told that if it was for a cheaper price online, I would get the cheaper price, I was actually charged and even higher price than quoted initially. There was only one woman who was there that was kind and I cannot remember her name as well as the valet was very nice. I wish I could write an entire review about the experience, but it’s not even worth it.
- 1/5
Shower was very cold. Uncomfortable room.
- 5/5
Great experience and amazing location. Was able to watch the Memphis Grizzlies play and it was no kidding a 1.5 min walk (if even that) from my hotel. Also amazing places around the location
- 5/5
Clean room ... very nice staff.
- 4/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Everything was great excellent service
- 5/5
Family parking was amazing front desk. Staff was great that we wish you had was with the bar in a hotel. Everyone can’t be a perfect team all the time definitely would stay again
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location!
- 5/5
Th room was spotless, and staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Room is good. Valet is great. Parking lot might get dicey
- 5/5
The staff was excellent, starting from valet to the front desk, to the maintenance worker. Yes , I had personal encounters with all of them and they all went above and beyond.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Awesome staff!!!!!
- 5/5
Room and location was very nice.
- 5/5
Amazing staff. They even had our vehicle out ready for us when we got downstairs!!!
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Clean, spacious and awesome bed. Great service. The only negative was having to pay for Valet - so tack on an extra $40 per day.
- 5/5
Very clean and perfect location
- 4/5
Felt very safe with police and national guard presence
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and the location is amazing. You are right across the stadium and around the corner from beal street. You can walk to other attractions as well, the area was safe and easy to navigate.
- 5/5
Valet staff were great!
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 4/5
Good stay at the Westin
- 5/5
Very nice hotel…right next to the Fedex Forum. Great location
- 5/5
I had an amazing stay. It was a beautiful atmosphere, attentive staff, and comfort from check-in to check-out. Attending a concert. Walked out of the hotel and venue was right across the street.
- 5/5
Outstanding service and wonderful hotel!
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
The room was the perfect size and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and is very walkable to Beale Street and other attractions. My only complaint would be for the price of the hotel, the room should have a mini fridge and not just a mini fridge with overpriced drink options.
- 5/5
Staff very nice , rooms could use more attn in cleanness as in dusting and wiping down walls and light switches. Bathroom shower needs an upgrade . Overall hotel was okay but disappointing for the Westin name
- 5/5
Spacious, clean, comfortable room.
- 5/5
Many attractions nearby
- 5/5
Hotel is beautiful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Additional security in elevator for all floors, not just top floor! Super friendly staff. Restaurant looked nice but we ate elsewhere. Nice bar with big TVs. Parking close. Beale street around the corner. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional
- 3/5
Hotel was all good
- 5/5
The property is one block over from Beale St and directly across from the fed ex forum. Any event at the Forum I will be staying at the westin
- 5/5
Great service!
- 5/5
Property could use a little maintenance at least for our bathroom. Other than that the people and service were top notch!!!!!! The vibe on Beale street was second to none and I would highly recommend this hotel for all your downtown needs!
- 3/5
First room we entered smelled strongly of bleach, and the toilet had visible dirt on its seat. I asked to switch rooms. Staff was amenable. Second room did not smell as strongly of bleach, I guess because it had been more hours passed since the cleaning crew did their thing. However, you would think a room that smells like the toxic cleaning supplies used to clean it would mean you are stepping into a cleaned room. Nope. Some mold on the shower grout. Stains here and there, like on the light switches, which could have easily been wiped away with a wet rag. Dust galore. Food crumb on floor near trash. Not coming back to this hotel. No pool. Tiny gym. Hesitant to stay at any more Westins. The positives is that this location is right next to Beale Street and easy access to other Memphis hotspots. The exterior and the lobby areas are well kept and fancy-ish. It was quiet; no disturbances from the street or from other patrons. Also, both of my rooms were on the 9th floor, which is the top floor. Also, valet parking only.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room
- 5/5
The beds are the best in my opinion. I will always try to stay at westin
- 4/5
The staff was lovely, the room was clean and the location was great if you are going to Beale Street.
- 4/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
The property was located right off Beale and very convenient for the concert at the Fed ex forum.
- 3/5
The hotel was fairlynice, but you are not safe outside.
- 5/5
Very nice clean hotel ! Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Convenient
- 5/5
The mini fridge made a popping noise on and off all night.
- 2/5
Rooms were not ready and we could not check in until after 7pm!
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff
- 5/5
Staff was friendly & helpful hotel amenities were 5 star love the location…
- 4/5
Bathrooms in rooms need some updating
- 2/5
Got there at 4:00pm for check-in and the room wasn’t ready. We booked this hotel several months in advance for the convenience of being across the street from the FedEx forum for a concert. Our stay was booked from 4:00 pm to 11:00 am the following morning. The concert started at 7:00pm. We thought how convenient we will be able to get to the hotel and get ready for the concert and just walk across the street. We were terribly wrong. We were among what was probably another 30 to 50 booked hotel rooms with the same problem. The lobby was absolutely full with people having nowhere to get ready, or even put their belongings in their own room before the concert. My wife had to use a curling iron, put on makeup and get dressed in one of the lobby restrooms. I ended up just changing over shirts and shoes right there in the lobby. The staff was not only not helpful but also had security guards intervene if anyone was upset and voicing there concerns. The hotel staff stated that a football team had stayed the previous night and didn’t leave until 3:00pm that day. Why they would allow this to happen I don’t know. Why they would be so rude, and callous about the situation to hotel guests I also don’t know. It’s a nice hotel but unfortunately the management is terrible. They didn’t offer anything to make up for the issues until enough people were upset. They then only when asked said they were giving extra points to the guests. What a joke.
- 3/5
First of all someone agreed to letting a college football team stay past their checkout time therefore making it impossible to allow me to check in at 4pm ( the usual check-in time ) I was there for a concert with my sister and niece. We had to get ready for the concert in the public bathrooms in the lobby and finally got to check into our room around 6:30 pm. The morning I went to take a shower and the water pressure was amazing but there was no body wash or shampoo in the containers. At checkout no body never acknowledged the fact that we were 2 1/2 hours late checking into our room because of poor management. We were never offered any forgiveness complimentary anything. This was not the better experience of my hotel stays. I will say this on a positive note ( the bed is very comfortable )
- 5/5
Nice hotel!!!
- 5/5
Very clean, nice, and secure. We went to a concert at fedex forum so it was very convent as well. Beds are amazing. Showers and separate tubs in the room. Restaurant on site. Have stayed many times. Will stay again
- 1/5
Everyone that checked in had to wait over 3 hours to be able to get in their rooms
- 1/5
I arrived at 3:40 for my check in to be told that they would have to contact me when my room was available. I was like ok - 20 minutes tops! Nope- there were people there that had been waiting 3 hours. I was unable to get the room before my concert started to get ready. I wasn’t contacted until 7 pm to tell me my room was just then available to check in but I was at my event at that point. Very inconvenient!
- 1/5
Room wasn’t ready for check in until 7:15. We had to change clothes and get ready for dinner in the lobby restroom because we had a dinner reservation at 5:00. The concert started at 7:00 so we were late for that. Other than that the hotel is nice.
- 5/5
Perfect location, excellent service, and talented live instrumentalist in the lobby!
- 4/5
I had a great stay, friendly staff, good room, big comfortable bed and parking was easy. Just one block from Beale Street - really convenient.
- 3/5
Great people but dated
- 5/5
Beautiful modern hotel with gorgeous room and view of the Fed Ex Center right out our window. Easy and safe walk to Beale Street around the corner making our stay a memorable and pleasurable one. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
- 5/5
Staff were so nice and friendly! Everyone! The hotel is Gorgeous! The room was beautiful and clean! Shower had excellent water pressure!
- 5/5
I was able to get early check in around noon instead of waiting to 4pm for no additional charge. The room was very cozy and clean. The food at the restaurant was really good. Overall a great place to stay.
- 3/5
The hotel itself is nice, but the area had a lot of homeless people. The fire alarm went off at 4:30 am and we took the stairs down to the alley. Greeted by one homeless guy passed out with six bottles around him and another homeless man drinking a 40oz.
- 5/5
Restaurants was good
- 5/5
Was very close to Beal st
- 4/5
The room was nice, couldn't hear too much from outside on the 7th floor. The elevator sounded like an amusement park ride. The restaurant for dinner was great, for breakfast it was horrible.
- 4/5
This is a lovely hotel with a friendly staff that is always smiling I felt like inside the hotel I was perfectly safe, but I'd be cautious about going out on the street after dark. At least don't go alone
- 5/5
It was great and comfortable
- 3/5
This hotel was not up to the usual Westin standards. It was convenient for the FedEx Forum, but the quality and cleanliness was subpar. The service and courtesy of the staff was great.
- 5/5
Great servive!
- 5/5
Perfect location if you’re going to the FedEx Forum or Beale Street, and I mean PERFECT! Clean, secure with its own bar & restaurant. Room was very clean, bed sooooooo comfortable, large bathroom w/premium products. Will be our “go to” hotel in Memphis going forward. Great experience!!!
- 5/5
easy check in location was great!!
- 5/5
The property was clean, hassel free check in, and valet was quick and easy.
- 3/5
The property was 3 stars at best. Reminds me of a Best Western. Carpet was damp, pillows were horrible, they nickel and dime you with every tax imaginable - even tax on top of valet parking. The cost of my room went up $65 just in taxes. It was convenient to the FedEx form, but around it was slums and homeless.
- 5/5
Convenient and safe
- 5/5
I liked that it was right across the street from the forum.
- 5/5
It was right across from the arena I was going to
- 5/5
Everything was awesome
- 2/5
Just okay to stay
- 4/5
No comment
- 3/5
Disappointing
- 5/5
Amazing staff great location
- 4/5
I loved the location. 5 mins from Beale St across the street from the Fed Ex Forum. The only issues I had was that there wasn't a pool on site and housekeeping.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Extremely convenient
- 5/5
Perfect location to allow walking to Beale Street and many other museums and sights.
- 5/5
Great property awesome rain shower.
- 4/5
The shower door leaked water on to the floor. Bed was comfortable. Overall a nice room and hotel
- 5/5
The hotel was excellent. The location was spot on with convenient to great restaurants Beale st. Will stay there again when I go back.
- 3/5
It was an okay stay.
- 2/5
The housekeeping was terrible, we also had to change rooms when we first arrived because the first room had a bad smell, our bathroom wasn’t clean good the three days we were there, we asked for clean drinking glasses and all she did was rinse them out, not replacing them with new ones. Three days we stayed, A 5 star hotel but 1 star services.
- 5/5
Loved the experience. Would book again
- 4/5
Hotel is a bit dated
- 4/5
Otherwise, good place to stay.
- 3/5
The location is good, but the property was a bit run down. The staff was great and was always super friendly and up beat.
- 5/5
Very clean very efficient friendly staff in walking distance to downtown Memphis and Beale Street
- 5/5
Great hotel. Amazing location. Wonderful staff. Clean, updated, decently sized rooms. Noise levels are good. Personal fridge situation (recycled?) could be better, and I wish the snack area in the lobby had prices listed. But honestly, there is not much to complain about. If the price is right, book it!
- 4/5
Nice for the price, restaurant good quality but very limited selection
- 4/5
Pool would be nice
- 5/5
Nice place right next to Beale Street
- 5/5
Overall it was excellent
- 2/5
It was Easter weekend, but the bar was closed. No white wine in the hotel. The water in the room was scolding hot and did not cool down at all.
- 4/5
Very nice room and location
- 5/5
The front desk staff was absolutely amazing and very welcoming. Cynthia was there to greet us with a smile and answers to any questions. The property was beautiful and well maintained. This will be our go-to whenever we visit Memphis.
- 3/5
No pool
- 4/5
Bathroom shower door didn’t shut, shampoo bottle broken & laying in shower, it was nice to have separate bathtub but we didn’t use it. Bed was comfortable & clean air conditioning worked well. Would have been nice to have a room fridge for our stuff that worked.
- 5/5
Staff is great. Good location to Beale street activities. They didn't tell us when we checked in but if you just lift up the mini bar products you get charged even if you don't consume it. Parking is crazy expensive here.
- 5/5
Convenient to what we are doing
- 5/5
Couldn’t use the safe as it was locked. But other then that a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Such a nice hotel right at the center of where we wanted to be.
- 5/5
Friendly Helpful Westin great as usual
- 2/5
Wallpaper peeling off wall in hallways and rooms. Stains on ceiling and overall, not to the level of expectation for a Westin property.
- 3/5
Great location. Suggest staff check that the rooms are ready for guests. We had to change rooms at 10pm after realizing there was no hot water in the shower. The maintenance man said they were aware of the issue prior to my stay. Then when moved to another room/floor, the cold water sink spigot was leaking on the counter. Overall, we made it work. Will stay there again if in town. The valet was awesome!
- 5/5
accommodating staffs
- 5/5
Great location to visit Beale St and downtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean.
- 1/5
Bed was too hard. A/C wouldn’t cool to my satisfaction. Mold in shower. Noisy all night. Had reservations for 2 nights and only stayed 1 night.
- 5/5
Great location to many downtown highlights. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge.
- 5/5
Room 819 was very nice and clean. My wife and enjoyed the room and the bed slept great.
- 4/5
I like the location of the property, but parking when its an event is horrible the best option is to valet and it's $36 a night which is ridiculous if you're a guest staying at the hotel, besides that it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the water was hot with good pressure.
- 4/5
The price was worth the distance to Beale st. However it’s overpriced. Parking at the hotel is $36.99 a day. The parking garage is $25 a day. They park in the same garage. I had ask the valet and he said he didn’t know. They pass the sign every time they bring a car in.
- 4/5
Good location one block from Beale Street. Restaurant had great food. Bar in hotel was rarely open that I could tell.

#1. Checked in and was given a double bed room instead of the King bed room I reserved. Was told because I booked on Expedia, that I was only guaranteed a room, not a type? Even though my reservation said a King bed room. I did go back down and A front desk clerk tried for awhile and finally did give me a king size room. Room #325. That was the good part of the stay. #2 After we got to the room we figured out this room was shut down for maintenance, Sink faucet handles leaked when turned on, the shower door leaked and water ran and pooled next to the toilet. #3 No info in the room at all, could not figure out how to order room service and found out all the info cards on how to order with a QR code wasn't in the room. #4 Went down to the restaurant for breakfast then. Only 1 person waitressing and seating in the whole place. Stood waiting to be seated with 4 other people for 15 minutes. Was told by the front desk that people called in sick and that is all that could work? Left and went to the Starbucks next door. That are so many more to list but just want to be over the experience. Stayed there because it is so close to Beale street for the convenience. Will not be going back.

I have stayed the my Westin-Beale street several times. This last experience was unlike the other times because of unpleasant hostess/employees. The customer service was not up to standard

Great location next to Beale Street and across from the Fed Ex Forum. Only downside was all the streets to get to the hotel were blocked off by police since it was a Saturday night. Convenient resturant for breakfast even though a bit pricey. Great to have a Starbucks next door.

Fantastic location! Highly recommend restaurant Itta Bena around the corner. Beale street easy walking distance.

Very unsafe area where a gang shooting took place directly in front of the hotel on a Saturday afternoon and our room was on the third floor directly above this horrific crime. The hotel is very nice and the staff is very courteous; right on Beale Street which has security and you cannot but gangs do.

Shooting at property, ac hardly worked, and water barely ran in the tub.
