The ducks and the Duck Master are a real highlight, not to be missed. The room was spacious and well appointed. All staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely space to enjoy a drink in the lounge and the shops had a great selection of clothes, gifts etc.

This is the second time staying at this property. It's conveniently located near Beale Street and other downtown attractions. It's very pricey, however. Parking is expensive, drinks at the bar are expensive, and the ducks.... Yes, these are fun to watch once or twice, but it's extremely crowded and difficult to get a good spot to see this attraction. You should stay there at least once, but expect to pay additional fees on top of the Expedia charge.

It’s an experience like no other hotel. The architecture, the history, the service, the ducks. Our room was very nice and roomier than we expected. We stayed there for 2 nights and stayed 2 other nights at another nearby hotel. We had wished we stayed all 4 nights at the Peabody. We really enjoyed the rooftop party the first night. Chase Tyler and his band was fantastic. Meeting Mr. Hal Lansky at Lanskys clothier of the king store was a real treat. Love the history of Elvis there. Did a self tour of the hotel and saw the most amazing things like the ballrooms, the pool and spa rooms, the Francis Scott Key piano, the artwork on the ceilings, walls, the lobby, and the beautiful fountain where the ducks swim. It was well worth staying there. Like I said, you can’t experience this at any other hotel I’ve ever stayed. We will definitely come back again and stay longer. Had no bad experience

We loved our stay but normally when you check in early to a hotel if the room is available then they let you have your key but they charged $25 to check in!! I k is it’s an option and you don’t have to pay it but do think if the room is ready they should just let you have your room. Everything else was great and staff very friendly.

My wife and I have stayed here a handful of times over the years, often as a splurge on our wedding anniversary. This time around I mentioned on the on-line registration form that it was our 22nd wedding anniversary. Both the front-desk person who checked us in and the greeter at the Capriccio Grill greeted us with that fact in hand. That was nice. But it was later, when we got back to the room at 9:30 PM, that we found a bottle of Champagne (well, French blancs de blancs) icing in a bucket and six chocolate covered cherries waiting for us. Now THAT, my friends, is a classy move. It's never happened to us before and it blew us away. Needless to say, we have been transformed from fans into superfans. The room itself--a Premium King--was roomy, beautifully set up, freshly renovated, perfect. In short, the perfect place for a splurge.

The Peabody Hotel is a beautiful hotel that everyone should experience at least once. It is convenient to nearby Beale Street and the hotel offers many amenities. However I was very disappointed in the restaurant . The meal was fine, but service was disappointing. There were maybe all of 4 customers in the entire restaurant and yet we felt rushed by staff. Appetizers weren’t even nearly finished and they were serving the main course. When I mentioned this to the manager who came by, she offered a complimentary dessert. That was appreciated, but also served before my meal wine was even finished. I don’t get why they would do that when the restaurant is obviously not busy. In the morning, avocado toast was served on sourdough, instead of the menu stated whole grain bread. One last inconvemience is that if you do self parking (we had a motorcycle) the parking garage is a good 10 minute walk from the lobby, and that’s if you don’t get lost. Very inconvenient to guests.

Beautiful hotel with a large lobby and live entertainment. We like the high quality restaurants on site. Comfortable beds and rooms, however bathrooms could be larger. No double sink or 2 person capacity in some rooms.

Parking felt very safe (which is important in downtown Memphis) but it was at least 400 yards away from the hotel itself although most of that is indoors. Minor issues that needed addressing were the tub faucet and one of the ice machines on our floor. But otherwise nothing major. Room looked amazing, like out of a magazine.

The Peabody is an expensive hotel that takes advantage of the guests. You can park your own car but it’s difficult. You are not allowed to use the luggage carts. You must hire a bellman. They charged me a “hotel service fee” that was MORE than half the parking fee. The room was nice but not awesome. It was small too. There was an expresso maker but nothing to make a hot tea. I was disappointed.

Everything was perfect. 1negative on this trip. The black residents of Memphis really despise white people. We did meet a few very nice people that were visiting as well but the local workers who work and live in the area hate you. They have no problem letting you know. I really didn't let it bother me but by the 3rd day it wore me down. I asked a local woman why the National gaurd was deployed to Beale street. She said to control the violence. So i was glad they were there. The music , food, Graceland, Sun studios ect were great. But i won't be returning.

The room was quite nice: In the bathroom the toilet was jammed in between the sink and the wall so that it was difficult to sit down, and when I did my leg touched the metal of the stand that held the sink. We had an expensive dinner in the restaurant - not the French restaurant but the other one. The creamed spinach was limp spinach in a milky soupy something. We asked that the steak be charred on the outside, medium rare on the outside. It was neither and not very good. My dinner was tasteless. Really, it was a terrible meal and did I mention that it was expensive? Our flight was late so we ended up eating at 8:30 pm, but we were told that the restaurant served until 10pm so we gave it a chance. What a mistake. Everyone acted as if they were already headed for home. The staff stood around talking with each other instead of asking if we would like more water - which we did. The dishes at the table of four next to ours remained on the table for a long time, then the dirty dishes were moved to a large tray on a stand right next to our table - and left there! Really, it was astonishingly bad service and the attention to detail completely lacking. The bar in the big lobby was full. Clearly the restaurant is an afterthought to the Peabody management. I just wish we had known beforehand. We would have eaten at the hotel across the street.

Terrible check in experience, huge queue, poor staff efficiency and room not ready. Hotel is nice but bar staff rude and not one bit welcoming. Area around hotel unsafe, dangerous, do not walk anywhere alone, deserted areas, almost dystopian it was so empty but also appears to be unsafe. A trip back in time, all was fantastic, accommodations from upkeep, rooms, restaurant food and the drinks in the lobby bar was fantastic. The hotel gives you the feeling of going 50 years back in time. Southern charm and hospitality. And not to forget the Duck ceremony every day, going from the fountain up to their sleeping quarters on the roof.

I really enjoyed my stay in the room was beautiful however when I booked a room and it was reserved and I get there and they say they don’t have it available but I can upgrade for $40 and make me pay for the upgrade fee is not good practice. They should have upgraded my room and not charged me anything because I was the one inconvenienced for their mismanagement of room availability. Other than that, the visit was fine.

We enjoyed staying at the Peabody. The room, while small, was comfortable. The onsite restaurants had good variety, the food was delicious and the customer service was great. The nightly duck march was fun (Kenan was a wonderful MC) and access to the roof top for a city view was a bonus.

They had “an incident “ that took employees away from their jobs. We arrived at 8pm and they told us our room was not ready. Then he said it was. There was an unknown substance splattered across the wall and the mirror. For the money and the notoriety I expected more. Not worth the money.

The hotel is grand and I wanted to love it, but we booked it specifically because they had a hot tub, however once we checked in we were informed that the hot tub was under renovations, which was not stated ANYWHERE. Neighbor had their TV on LOUD all night, when I called to the front desk to ask if they could have them turn it down at 1am, 2am, 4am I was told I could move rooms they couldn't hear the TV from the hall and saw no problem. I did not sleep but an hour all night and they did not care. Horrible service at the restaurant ant and will never recommend it.

The Peabody is like an oasis of calm and safety amongst what is the most run down, sleazy and dilapidated city centres in the USA. We would have liked to have the option of a coffee maker in the room. We had breakfast in the restaurant and the service was awful, the manager said the chef got confused by our order which was from the standard menu? Basically two from four guests never got served. Service in the lounge is painfully slow. Guest fill the bar stools so it is impossible to order at the bar if you are siting in the lounge without interrupting some loud guests.

1st off, we LOVE downtown Memphis. We've got married in Memphis in 2013 and have stayed at almost all the hotels in downtown Memphis over the years with the exception of the Peabody. We decided to splurge and book a night there, only to find we could've gotten a much cheaper rate through the hotel itself rather than through Expedia. That was on me. For what we spent, I was a little disappointed in the size of our room, especially the bathroom. We had to close the bathroom door to open the closet door and close those 2 doors to open door to the room. Although charming, I honestly don't think I would stay there again. It took about 15 minutes of standing at the bar(The Corner Bar)to even give my drink order to bartender. Finding a seat in the main lobby was almost impossible and when we finally did, I ordered a drink which came in a reasonable amount of time, however, my husband ordered a coffee press which arrived about 35-40minutes later so we ended up taking it to our room. I totally get that the atmosphere of The Peabody is part of what you pay for, but I can honestly say for the price we paid for one night, I expected more.

In many respects the Peabody hits the spot. It is a lovely hotel in a central location, and provides a complete range of traditional hotel facilities as well as the “famous” Peabody ducks. BUT, and this is a big but, the en suite bathrooms are ridiculously small. I don’t think we have ever stayed at any hotel with such small bathroom - totally unacceptable I’m afraid. Maybe they are in course of renovating the in room facilities, but I strongly recommend checking before you book. Any more than one night with that bathroom and you would be climbing the walls - literally...

The best hotel experience I've had. To every detail, this is a luxury atmosphere where the priority of the hotel is comfort and convenience. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed: the Lobby Bar, great pool and our massages at Feathers Spa were a delight. Some rooms are undergoing renovation right now, so construction noises before 8 a.m. would be my only complaint - but the hotel did provide ear plugs in the room with a nice little note about the construction and to be fair, construction is a necessary evil. But definitely worth splurging a little on the price, highly recommend.

The Peabody is a bit more expensive than the experience warrants. The March of the Ducks requires two hours of your time...hmmm. You need only see it one time. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Good is excellent but as you would expect expensive in the attached restaurant... The lobby area is a great place to relax either for an afternoon pot of coffee of drinks in the evening... Best idea is to go the The Rendezvous across the road for ribs then back to the Peabody for their great deserts. Bedrooms are okay but found our room (1103) to be a little small with a fairly 'compact' bathroom... Would definitely stay again and obviously watching the march of the ducks is a must, but bag your spot early to get a decent view..

Overall, the hotel stay was OK. The rooms were on the small side. When we checked in, they initially said we had two double beds until we showed our reservation for a queen. They first said they have no queen bed rooms but then "found" two. Thursday evening roof top party is OK. They say the offer food, but it is more like a snack. Lobby lounge is very expensive for drinks. Go two blocks to Beale Street.
