Reviews
Hotel Nia is a modern and clean hotel with friendly staff and beautiful grounds. Guests generally have a positive experience, but some have issues with the valet parking cost, lack of amenities, and occasional maintenance problems in the rooms.

We live in the Bay but we love having staycation here especially during summer!
- 5/5
First time staying here and would definitely stay again. It was a nice escape from busy city life. Quiet and cozy is just what we needed. The staff was super friendly and we loved the food and cocktails at the Lobby Bar. We do wished the hot tub had more bubbles I guess you could say as it was difficult to turn back on. But otherwise it was wonderful.
- 5/5
It was a beautiful hotel . You need a car as it was not walking distance but was very well maintained with nice pool . We were there for wedding and was great
- 5/5
Such a nice hotel, perfect for a family staycation. Front desk staff was super nice and efficient. Would definitely stay again. I would like to see a few more options on dining menu, especially kid friendly options.

There was a weird clump of hair in my bed when I checked in, and the lock on the door was broken. No thank you. I found a new hotel.

Our stay was nice, but I reserved our room through a third party, Booking.com and when I tried to check in the receptionist had a difficult time finding my reservation and that cause much stress at the very beginning of our stay. The Manager had to get involved but then we found our reservation. We had driven from a very far distance to find that no reservation was available. Very dirty windows I couldn't even look out of them.

absolutely terrible quality food for the price you're paying for both the hotel and the food. I was ordering from Uber Eats as soon as I tried two meals here.

Had a great impromptu stay here on a Friday night when I decided I didn’t feel like getting stuck in traffic. I didn’t have overnight gear so couldn’t fully enjoy the pool and such but I had a really great stay. Comfortable, large room, good rate, excellent service, food was good. Just the experience I was looking for.

Said there was a bay view and there was not a bay view. There was construction and another hotel.
- 4/5
Nice property. Slightly slow service at the bar when we sat at a 2 top. When we sat at the bar, service was good. Concert weekend and the staff looked like they were scrambling, but were always kind and accommodating. Valet service and staff were excellent
- 5/5
Excellent staff, amenities, layout, cleanliness, etc. The pool is wonderful and it’s a great place to staycation!

Arrived at 530pm for our 1 night stay and room was not ready. Waiting around for an hour (630pm) before being told it would be another hour. Changed for dinner for my husbands graduation in the lobby bathroom (we had come directly from the airport). Came back at 9pm and were given a room. Told that we would be reimbursed via Bonvoy points. That has NOT happened. We left at 7am next morning.
- 4/5
We had a decent stay at this hotel. The rooms are good and well maintained. Housekeeping had to be requested one day. It is in a part of Menlo Park that is fairly isolated and nothing around. You have to get in car to get anywhere for food/park/stroll etc. The restaurant was good (had only breakfast) but seemed understaffed. All staff were always very courteous. I will definitely stay here again understanding its limitations.
- 4/5
Pool area was the best.
- 5/5
So fun. Great property. Longer was amazing and singer was great!
- 5/5
The property is attractive, well-maintained, and interesting and it’s decoration. The restaurant food was quite good. It was easily accessible to all our activities in Menlo Park and Palo Alto.
- 1/5
Super nice facility and everybody was friendly. However, they are VASTLY understaffed. When we checked in there was only one person at the front desk with over 12 clients waiting to check in. Food was great, but again, they only had ONE waiter for the entire dining room. If they can fix the staffing issues they will be in good shape
- 3/5
This is an average hotel. Nothing special.
- 4/5
The hotel itself is excellent. Very clean, nice and friendly staff. The atmosphere and room feels very posh and enjoyable. The only reason I would say the room was good vs. excellent is the balcony is very underwhelming. There is two of us and one chair in a small corner that overlooks construction to the back and a freeway with Stanford Children's Health on the other side. Not much appeal in that.
- 5/5
Lovely staff and hotel. Will definitely be my go to when I stay in SF.

- 5/5
Gorgeous bay views and fun lighting in the rooms. The bed was super comfortable.

Friend staff & clean
- 5/5
Staff was great and the rooms were very clean. I would only complain about the shower head and how one is unable to rely on the top shower head to stay off… it would turn on automatically while use the handheld shower head. I didn’t want to get my hair wet and both times the top shower head turned on. Also, the knob was so high as well I had to stand on the tub to turn it on and off. Luckily I didn’t fall. Overall We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Amazing stay for the weekend beautiful property. The designer did a fantastic job. Restaurant was amazing. Beautiful pool and lounge area around the pool. Staff all very friendly and professional. Exceptional service.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, accommodating staff, great dining. We stayed in a king room and felt right at home. The motif, decor, and modern design of the room were thoroughly appreciated by us. A definite hidden gem in MP!
- 5/5
Enjoyed staying at hotel. Friendly staff - front desk, restaurant, valet. Room - clean and appealing. Location - near the freeways and close to shopping and restaurants.

Hotel Nia is a perfect staycation hotel (and we were looking at Air BnB for a home.) super happy we chose this place. It’s an experience 🌴🍯
- 5/5
Great stay here the last month. Beautiful quiet property within 15 min or Menlo Park and Santa Clara.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, modern and nive exterior decorated
- 5/5
This hotel is so modern and welcoming. The lobby is nicely designed. The rooms are very clean and well-organized. The patio is beautifully landscaped. The summer pool party is very kid friendly and having a heated pool is a huge plus. I do think they should relax on the no outside food policy. I get why they are doing it, but if we are hotel guests, we should have the option to eat our own food in the garden or in the lobby.

Cute hotel in the SF peninsula. The hotel is pretty basic but nice and clean. This hotel does not have a great view but is conveniently located near the freeway. We were looking forward to a nice and quiet weekend getaway but it turns out the hotel hosts weekend pool parties with DJs, pool bar, etc. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend getaway, this may not be the place for you.
- 5/5
AMAZING. ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS IVE EVER VISITED. I have nothing to say but book. You wont be disappointed! Towels were soft the bed was SOFT. THE FLOORS WERE CLEAN shower was PERFECT! I seen nothing wrong no flows!! Thanks

- 3/5
Property was nice, staff was good, room was end coner and very poor HVAC that would blow in your face while in bed. Room was worn and the shower wasent cleaned when I got there.
- 5/5
Hotel Nia is modern, clean and the staff was helpful, so friendly and it was. Great experience
- 5/5
If you’re looking a modern hotel in a safe and quiet location choose this hotel.
- 5/5
I loved the grounds outside of the hotel. I loved all the California native plants and the repurposed building materials used through hotel. As well as they aesthetic.it’s a bit out of my normal price range, but I got lucky and you guys had a sale so I finally got to come check you out. I live locally but enjoy getting sone time to myself for relaxation. Hotel Nia did not disappoint. Hope to be back for a visit sooner rather than later. Loved everything about my stay.
- 5/5
Really nice staff. Really clean rooms and they clean and change sheets daily.
- 5/5
This hotel is very beautiful. I personally enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The pool is very relaxing and spacious. You’re able to sign into your netflix account if you would like an enjoy your shows. The set up of the room is extremely inviting. The only thing that bothered me is that there weren’t many areas to hang my towels/bathing suit in the bathroom so as you can see this is a great place to stay. I would definitely come again.
- 5/5
Nice personal Beautiful areas patio
- 4/5
The property was so lovely. Check in and out was very easy. The room was beautiful, we had a corner balcony room. Would have been nicer to have a higher room but no complaints. It was so nice to have a bar, restaurant and cafe in the same hotel, however, it was severely understaffed at the bar. When we went to sit down, the server reluctantly sat us and said “there’s a wait, we aren’t trying to serve anyone”. When we said we were just having drinks he said “I guess that’s fine”. I could see the manager having to do service recovery with several other guests who had either been waiting on service or their food was bad. My husband went to bar and waited 30 min for a drink. One bartender who was so slow. He really needed more support. We decided to order the charcuterie plate to go and when we got to the room it was two pieces of cheese a few slices of meat, 6 almonds and 4 slices of baguette. For $31 plus tip? My husband went back down to return it, which they offered to refund and keep. But I couldn’t believe how disappointing that experience was. For a Saturday too. Lunch and coffee service the next day was fine. Just wish our only night away from our son offered a better experience at the bar. Would definitely stay again, just take more bottles for the room.
- 4/5
Stay was okay. My hotel room had a smell, like the carpet needed to be cleaned.
- 3/5
Overall the stay was good. There are no amenities near by. I also found it a little off that the cleaning staff empties our bags and hung up all of our clothes. To me it felt a little invasive. There is only valet parking and you may have to wait a while to get your car. We placed the request for our car and had to wait outside for 20 minutes for them to bring it around
- 3/5
Decided to go here for my daughters 11th bday. Lailani was amazing, pool was nice, went to the restaurant at night, great service. I wish we noticed the gratuity was included at dinner, we ended up paying a 20% tip twice. Sunday morning was bad, short staff at the restaurant, we waited about 20min, no help, then a couple walks right in & they got helped instantly, adding to our (& other customers waiting) frustrations. The guy behind us said he’d been waiting 20min for just a coffee. So we took our order “to go” and whoever made the chai latte clearly wasn’t a barista, it was beyond extremely hot, far above the serving temperature. My kiddo cried because she burned herself. And when valet brought my car it now has a check engine light that it never had before. I’ve stayed here before they didn’t have valet before. So I had no choice but to use valet, & when I told the valet about it, all he said was, “we’re not held responsible” so overall, some moments were great, some were bad. Side note, Calil (manager) removed $50 from the burning chai tea incident, but valet parking alone costs $37, I paid $301.81 for the room & dinner was over $400.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and the property is beautiful. The beds are luxurious and every attention to detail was paid careful attention too
- 2/5
I have to check my charges every time before I leave.
- 4/5
NIA has a big outdoor area and so as the swimming pool. Good for family staycation. Except the restaurant has limited foods to offer, should have variety of foods.
- 5/5
I like everything! Thanks!
- 5/5
Service, property, room, and pool are AMAZING!
- 5/5
Super clean quiet modern and new hotel. Very soft bed, nice dining and wine options. friendly staff from valet, to check in, to room service all very well trained. I highly recommend. Area is primarily business' in the surrounding area so not walkable to town, however the restaurant in the hotel is very good. It also has a nice cafe for morning coffee and breakfast
- 4/5
Great hotel, room service was great and so was the food. Room was very well put together and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful modern hotel with lots of fun, smart design elements. Valet parking only, which was a bit expensive. Very convenient to the freeway. Awesome pool area. Would love to stay again!
- 5/5
We had a great time. The pool was and restaurant were wondering and the room was clean and relaxing.
- 5/5
Great facility, very clean and modern. Area is not walkable though.

This is a fabulous property in the middle of Silicon Valley. Highly recommend it if you want to stay at a clean place that has good amenities.
- 5/5
The property was very clean and new. Loved our stay!
- 5/5
everyone was very nice and professional. went out of way to offer free water which is a small thing but goes a long way!

- 5/5
A great and fun hotel to stay with.
- 5/5
lovely stay. great pool and outdoor space

The front desk was clueless and cashless and i wanted to pay housekeeping and valet Valet was incredibly expensive for a hotel in the middle of nowhere… valet for $37 in the middle of nowhere… $35 parking if not valet…. AND the pool attendant checking wrist bands is ridiculous. No one cares about your pool and non guests will never come.. its not a nice pool and the jacuzzi is even broken. I showed my band but i had to put it on (which i guess makes sense) but explain to me why some people are not asked and others are?! Also the door to the pool from the other garden space does not accept room keys.. why?!
- 3/5
The maid threw out my bag with medication in it and several other items. I am currently fighting with them for compensation. This is a nightmare. All I hear is I'm sorry and you'll get a call back at 9:00am.... I have to waste my time following up because I NEVER RECIEVE A CALL BACK "at 9:00am".
- 3/5
We had a problem with our room type - we were supposed to have a suite with two rooms per the pictures on the Expedia Website but we only received a single room - tried to complain to NIA and they said it was Expedia fault - Expedia tried to rectify the situation but the room was not available still so we paid more but kept our original room... very disappointed in the experience
- 3/5
Staff at the front desk was very rude. My dad went to talk to someone to complain that the temp of their fridge went down by a lot (worried milk would spoil) and did not do anything about it. Front desk people should be more helpful than that.
- 5/5
This tome we stayed for a night and got a good deal since it was a last minute booking. And wow, the room was so beautiful. The attention to details, all the nice finishes; amazing. Bed was comfortable. The only issue was all the 4 pillows in our room were huge. But overall highly recommended.
- 5/5
Amazing property - will stay every time Im in the area.
- 2/5
No parking for guests
- 5/5
Great staff
- 3/5
Valet parking only. It is hard to find a proper parking nearby.
- 3/5
Bad check in, lost reservation, safe didn't work (batteries dead), water in tap smelled bad, refrigerator didn't cool. Very noisy next to busy freeway. They didn't suggest giving us a quiet room. Nice pool area.
- 4/5
Otherwise, the place is fabulous!!!!! We could not understand how such a design blunder had been made.
- 4/5
Loved the room and the backyard retreat.
- 1/5
垃圾桶没有垃圾袋 缺很多东西 没有放拖鞋和吹风机等等
- 2/5
I was unaware that this property did not offer bell service, which is essential as I have a bad back. Luckily my driver helped me with my luggage on arrival but I had to manage myself on departure which was not preferable.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed . Quiet
- 2/5
We did not ask to switch, we had our granddaughter with us, and had too much stuff - totally disappointed. We've stayed here before and the food is no longer up to snuff. Beds are nice, rooms and bathrooms are nice, but when the hotel is not even close to capacity, they should have done what we paid for - and given us a room with a view!
- 5/5
Room comfortable - except, we are traveling for 7 weeks, we stayed here 10 days, and lack of a dresser and drawers in night stands made our room feel very cluttered and unkept, which we do not like.
- 4/5
The pool area was great. The full length mirror in the bathroom was weird.
- 1/5
No parking assistance. Only self-parking at a distance from the facility. Then tried to charge a $20 parking fee per day upon leaving. No bathrobes in a $400/day room. Rudimentary dining. Avoid!!!
- 5/5
We had a fabulous time staying at Hotel Nia. The suite we stayed in was beautiful and we instantly felt comfortable there. Our 2 year old daughter loved the outdoor areas and enjoyed exploring all the niche areas. The Verve coffee bar is super convenient with tasty pastries. Porta Blu had a creative menu, excellent cocktails, and service - we must have tried every dish on the menu over our 5 day stay. We accidentally left a suitcase outside on our departure, and the reception team helped us locate and transfer to case to a driver. Thank you to the entire team for a lovely stay. This will be my first choice of a hotel for our next California business trip.
- 1/5
I paid for a room with a balcony and upon arrival to my room there was no balcony. I went back down to the front desk and expressed my issue I was told that all rooms with balcony’s had been sold out and couldn’t do anything about it. I’ve stayed here numerous times (4) to be exact and this has never happened, VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED! kinda defeated the purpose of spending my anniversary here, will definitely think twice about staying here again
