Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, there are some concerns about misleading advertising, hidden fees, and lack of valet parking. Some guests also mention issues with breakfast and unprofessional staff behavior.

Did not like seeing someone's silhouette in the shower from the rest of the room.

Great location, friendly staff, and excellent bar service.
- 5/5
Great on site restaurant for dinner.
- 4/5
Only issues we found were: -Beds/Mattresses need to updated. Extremely hard sleeping surface. Similar to plywood with a comforter. -Resort fee charged daily - but 0 resort options available. The offer chairs, towels and umbrellas for the beach. THERE ARE LITERALLY 6-8 CHAIRS AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE HOTEL. Several are broken or falling apart. If you are not one of the first 6-8, you don't get a beach chair, but are still charged the fee. Some umbrellas are missing the anchor for the sand -Elevator was out the entire 4 days we were there
- 4/5
Location was terrific - only 1 block from the beach. Room was clean, spacious and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Please note that there is no pool in this hotel, similar I would imagine to other hotels of this era. Walking to distance to lots of restaurants and bars.

Good
- 4/5
The location is amazing, right down the street from the beach and not far from the convention center, which is where my event was for the weekend. For a busy part of Miami Beach, it was pretty quiet, which I appreciate.
- 5/5
One of the best stays I have had in Miami I will be returning soon and this would definitely be my go to place . It’s near the beach and have lots of amazing restaurants near by
- 3.5/5
The location was nice, the room cleaning was good, Ms. Aida was very helpful, thank you. I specifically requested a room with a view but they didn't provide it, things that should have been ready beforehand like shampoo and shower gel weren't there, the bathroom door didn't close

- 5/5
Nice rooms, but I was told that the only thing g I had to pay for in fridge was the mini bar but was still charged for the soft drinks.
- 2/5
Omg behind the bed and under was so dirty the bathroom drain didn’t work water over follow AC didn’t stay on the place is wild lots of noise never again !
- 5/5
The location was also excellent - everything was within walking distance. The beach was very close, and there were many great restaurants and bars nearby as well. Overall, we are completely satisfied and would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Rooms didn’t have any microwaves, also didn’t realize it didn’t have a pool. There’s only one way in and one way out. Other then that the staff is super nice, food is good, rooms are decent but a little pricey.

Nothing, it is an excellent hotel that we will return to many times over.
- 5/5
This hotel is in a great location and has a nice bar inside. Rooms are clean and the prices are very fair. They have beach chairs you can borrow as well. They were accommodating about allowing us an early check as it was available. Nothing, it is an excellent hotel that we will return to many times over.

Very nice staff at the reception and restaurant/bar all were welcoming and friendly. Location is top. We booked the corner suite and it was a perfect choice. Quiet, full of light. Bathroom with bad and shower. Very clean. Nothing negative to write about

Location! History.
- 5/5
Had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again! John was extremely helpful upon our arrival in getting us set up quickly after a redeye. Easy access to the beach and includes a beach bag, beach towels, umbrellas and chairs. Their restaurant bar is great - our food and service lovely. Definitely recommend!
- 5/5
The staff genuinely made the experience feel welcoming and personal. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel. The location is phenomenal, right in the heart of everything, without having to pay an excessively high price just for the location alone.

The location, decor, and updates in the room were great. My favorite part of the property was the openness and decor of the room

The hotel is in a great location in Miami Beach. One thing that really started off challenging was check in time being 4pm. The expectation would be to be in the room at 4pm. We arrived at 3:30 to get checked in and drop our bags off in the lobby and walk around the beach. They said the room wasn’t ready yet which was totally fine. We were told 4pm and the room would be ready which was the stated check in time on the website. We come back about 10 till sit down at the bar for a quick drink before the room opens only to be told the room isn’t ready at 4pm. We said okay. We would finish up our drinks. That turned into at 4:30 being told it’s going to be at least another half hour they hadn’t even been in our room. After traveling an entire day since 5am to not get into our room until 5:15 was extremely frustrating. We had dinner reservations for 6 so we had to scramble to get to our room and changed before heading out. The lead that could have been done is a comped beverage or something but we got nothing other than waiting an hour and 15 minutes past the stated check in time. Once we got past that the stay was good, beds were very very firm but the extremely delayed check in after travel started off the trip on a rocky footing.
- 5/5
We were given a parking pass at the building close by and the history of the building itself is amazing. The staff was very helpful. The decor was very eclectic and the overall stay was 10.
- 5/5
Great location! shame there’s no pool but it’s very close to the beach and restaurants.
- 5/5
Check in was easy. The staff was very friendly and responsive. We would stay there again.
- 3/5
room ok, AC made a lot of noise, couldn't sleep so I had to turn it off for the night. resort fee not included in the package. On top of that, you have to take the unbrella, chair and towel to the beach which can be heavy. Staff not helpful, no flexibility at all. Restaurant is great and receptionist is nice but i will never go back to the hotel
- 3/5
Great location
- 5/5
Todo Excelente
- 5/5
Wonderful location! Staff was always available and helpful. Loved the decor, Easy walking distance to beach and restaurants. We had a corner suite and the room was spacious, rarely heard the traffic.
- 5/5
It was very close to the activities that we planned. The staff was very helpful and we loved our room. My only issue was the $100/day for incidentals and we were there for three nights. I wasn’t expecting that. It’s usually $100-150 per stay. I went back to read the fine print but nothing stated that. They mentioned the resort fee and even the rates and fees for pets. But nonetheless we had a great time and I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Location of this hotel in the Miami Beach area is PERFECT. I will return and stay this hotel again next year. A+ Hotel and Staff
- 5/5
Clean room, and staff was excellent
- 4/5
It was an easily accessible art Deco hotel on the strip. The room was nice it was quiet they had blackout curtains nice decor elements. The staff was very friendly. The only thing that was subpar was the quality of the towels.
- 5/5
The staff were great & very helpful. The room was clean, the location was awesome, & the parking area was close. The only complaint I would have would be the charge of the “resort” fee. This hotel had no “resort” amenities!
- 4/5
Good hotel, but awkward check in and elevator situation! Wasn't sure if I was walking into a restaurant or hotel.
- 5/5
David from front desk was awesome and helpful! Property was as expected for price. Great location. There is no valet parking, parking is $20 per night in a nearby garage-self park

- 5/5
The hotel was well located. The staff were incredibly friendly and most helpful. The restaurant served beautiful food with excellent service. Overall would stay there again and highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great location, the room was large and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again
- 4/5
I paid a resort fee for beach chairs and towels. When I went to get my beach chairs there were none available. I was annoyed because I was still charged the fee.
- 4/5
Furthermore, the restaurant displayed on the ad (which is really good by the way) doesn't belong to the hotel, so you cant' have breakfast there. There are multiple options around the hotel though.
- 5/5
Room was spacious and great service. Everyone was very accommodating and we had a great time. Close to everything fun. Will be back for sure
- 5/5
Parking is a block away at $40. The parking card the hotel gave didn’t work.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Beautiful room. Helpful staff. On site restaurant (Positano) is very good. Can’t recommend this hotel enough! Only improvement is if the restaurant can open for breakfast.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff. Very comfortable and clean room.
- 4/5
Excellent location and staff
- 4/5
The room was very spacious and clean. Just the hot wasn’t very hot.
- 5/5
Very happy with our accommodations. The room was clean & spacious, beds comfortable and we felt secure. The staff was very helpful & friendly. Robes were a nice addition. Would definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
The location was great. Staff was very nice. I recommend staying here.
- 4/5
Nice area quick walk to the beach
- 3/5
The location is good, the room is a bit small but ok. The major problem is the hidden fees, especially the request to pay for beach umbrella and chairs even if didn’t want to use them. Frankly, it is outrageous.
- 3/5
Extremely small rooms , telephone did not work, they did not fix or bring new one!
- 4/5
The Marlin is a very nice boutique hotel with a great location! The staff is nice and the restaurant is excellent. The room was modern however could use a few extras like a microwave. That aside, it was a really good stay.
- 5/5
Clean and large quiet room.staff very kind . Very convenient location

- 5/5
Nice, clean, comfortable. Staff very available and helpful.
- 4/5
I will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Amazingly helpful staff. Great room and an ideal location. Would be my top pick if staying in the area again.
- 5/5
Very responsive and friendly staff. Relatively big room. Great location.
- 5/5
Good service, nice staff, clean & friendly
- 5/5
The Marlin Hotel is a quaint, boutique type hotel. We had a premier corner suite and enjoyed it. Both guys at the lobby desk were excellent and very accommodating. Location is very convenient to access Ocean Drive attractions. Would stay there again for sure.
- 5/5
Staff is wonderful this was our 7th stay Will be back
- 4/5
Small room, loud traffic outside, shower had some moldy spots. NIce Italian restaurant downstairs. Didn’t expect a extra service fee added on to the stay.. Front desk people were very nice and helpful.
- 4/5
The location is amazing.
- 5/5
Amazing location and comforta le.room
- 5/5
Very clean room in the staff were very friendly. The restaurant in the hotel is just excellent.
- 4/5
did not like the service charge on top of the cost of staying
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable, and all of the staff with whom we interacted were very professional and helpful, will definitely stay again
- 3/5
Hotel is in a great location. As much money as this hotel makes..they need to update. My tv didn't work..the front desk guy got frustrated after working on 35 mins..He decided he would take a resort fee night off..which is a whole different story. You will pay deposit and resort fee.But great location to everything.
- 4/5
Great value and location. Room very clean. Staff friendly and offsite parking was beneficial. Room key machine was not working, but staff always on hand to let me into the room. Nice "art deco" hotel.
- 5/5
Location and nice room.
- 5/5
Great quiet room in the back of the hotel. Big shower and room.
- 5/5
The room is clean. Staffs are friendly. nice restaurant downstairs.
- 5/5
Want to go to the beach? Just 4 minute walk! Want lounge chairs? They provide them for you! Cons: No pool. No hot tub. No work out room. No entertainment. Final thoughts: I’m 39, and I would stay here every time. I love pools and hot tubs, but cleanliness is what I desire and it’s quiet… slept great every night. I can’t wait to go back! Love you guys at the front desk! 10/10!
- 5/5
Aïda and her colleague was both amazing! They are so helpful, always available and talkative as well, what creates a feeling that we are welcoming and at home. I would surely recommend to come to this hotel.
- 5/5
Great little hotel well appointed, good location lively restaurant and bar, nice room.
- 5/5
Every was perfect from the time that I checked in
- 5/5
Clean room, staff and amenities all excellent.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Corner Room was bright and clean overlooking Collins Ave. Entry hall was a bit dark and dingy. People were very nice.
- 4/5
Having to pay the "amenities fee" per day instead of per night was annoying since we couldn't check in until an hour before sunset on the 1st day, and because we had to check out by noon on the last day. We did not use beach chairs either of those days, but still we're charged for them. Otherwise, it was a clean & pleasant place with interesting history just 2 blocks off the beach.
- 5/5
Beautiful room. Updated bath. Staff great! David got us checked in. Very nice. Eat twice at hotel restaurant. Excellent food. Servers Juan and Ivan were wonderful. Definitely stay here!
- 5/5
Great spot exactly where I wanted to be
- 5/5
Nice boutique hotel. Good location.
- 5/5
Great location in a beautiful Art Deco building.
- 5/5
We were there during Christmas and it was a great experience from start to finish. The check in was smooth and they were accommodating of an early check-in. The hotel location is perfect for South Beach. The room and building were very clean. The food at the hotel restaurant was amazing and did get a discount as a hotel guest. I do recommend the stay here and will choose to stay again at the hotel. Overall a smooth and wonderful experience!
- 5/5
All great bar was awesome just need to have breakfast there
- 3/5
Nice property, reception girl was warm and helpful.
- 5/5
Very clean, nice room. Suite was very spacious. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Hotel was great. rooms clean, front desk was pleasant. Hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants
- 5/5
Great room. Roomy and clean. Nice large shower stall. Restaurant onsite was great and had delicious drinks and food. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Only one block from the beach and offers beach chair and bag for your convenience. Would stay again!
- 5/5
Very nice and spacious room.
- 5/5
Check in was a great time. Very happy pleasant. Checkout was smooth.
- 5/5
We had a great experience at the Marlin. The room was nice and clean, and the restaurant had tasty food and friendly staff. The only con was the mandatory $35 per night fee to use beach towels and other benefits that we didn't use.
- 5/5
A lovely art deco hotel in a great location for those in Miami Beach for the winter art fairs. Friendly staff that welcomes you back by name each evening.
- 4/5
Loud A/C, wope us up every time it kicked in. Bathroom has no privacy, we chose to go to the lobby washroom as we were in a group of 5.
- 5/5
The room, ambience of the hotel, location, was all perfect.
- 5/5
The staff at the Marlin were incredibly friendly. Even though my two sisters and I only stayed for one day after a cruise, we felt right at home. The location was perfect for walking and exploring. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
The room was larger than I expected, very clean. The only downside was we had to go down to the desk to ask for ice. There was no icemaker. Also, there was no restaurant that could serve breakfast or lunch only dinner.
- 4/5
That said, the $36 daily fee for “wifi, beach towels, and water bottles” felt unreasonable. I was in town for work, so I didn’t use the beach towels and the one small 8oz water bottle provided each day was barely enough. Despite booking months in advance, I was given a room facing an alleyway with people taking calls all evening long. I was also disappointed that the hotel wouldn’t honor their Black Friday rate, which left me paying about 30% more for the stay.
- 5/5
Nice place close to everything. Staff was great. Rooms were clean and comfy.
- 5/5
Yes the room was spotless and the staff could not have been better! It was in the heart of south beach. Would never stay anywhere else.
- 2/5
Room had two tvs, one didn’t work at all, the other had a handful of working channels, most of which were in Spanish. Both tvs were older so you couldn’t connect them to Netflix etc. we wanted to watch a movie and sadly could not. We liked a lot of things about this hotel, but having a basic thing like this not working means will never be back.
- 5/5
Ada was a traveler's dream to have when booking a hotel. She was always courteous and helpful. The housekeeping staff was always cleaning and keeping the facility clean with an amazing smelling aroma!!!
- 5/5
Excellent location and very walkable
- 3/5
For a 4 star hotel, my experience was just okay. Staff was friendly but the room was fairly small, and the food was just okay but very expensive. We attempted to check in early since our flight landed at 10am, but our room wasn’t even ready at 4pm which is their designated check in time.
- 5/5
Loved the atmosphere and staff! We were upgraded to a more spacious room and it was amazing! Close to the beach and near so many restaurants and shops.
- 5/5
The room is great. Clean and very comfortable
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
Great location, very nice corner room, friendly but misses out on 5* through lack of any breakfast.
- 5/5
Great location, Clean Rooms!!
- 5/5
Amazing staff. Whole hotel is VERY miami. A bit more quiet too than the Main Street if you want to chill at night.
- 5/5
Up to date room. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of food options close by. Beach chairs and umbrella provided by the hotel was a great bonus. Close to the beach.
- 5/5
Nice staff, great location (everything was pretty much walking distance), keep in mind tho that the building is shared with a restaurant but i did not feel unsafe. Would book again
- 5/5

- 1/5
When arrived at hotel they made me book new room and charged me for October 29… shady and rude and not worth the price
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Food was great! One staff member to check in. Room not ready until 4pm.
- 5/5
Great place to stay in!
- 5/5
The umbrellas they gave us were broken
- 4/5
The mattress was very soft and it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. The bedspread was wet when we moved in. The air conditioner is very noisy and the fan is not adjustable.
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived, The Marlin Hotel exceeded every expectation. We originally booked for one night but extended our stay to six—it was that good. The rooms were beautifully designed with thoughtful touches: plush robes, high-end linens, spacious closets, a beach tote with towels, and reliable Wi-Fi. The location is unbeatable—just one block from the beach, shops, and a wide variety of restaurants. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to any traveler seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury. We’ll definitely be back.
- 5/5
Everything is okay
- 5/5
Great hotel on Miami Beach, great bar and staff
- 5/5
Loved our stay at The Marlin Hotel! Beautiful Art Deco building, clean and modern rooms, and an unbeatable location just steps from the beach and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. No pool, but the beach is right there. would definitely stay again!
- 4/5
I did not get any new sheets or fresh towels
- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff was amazing! Will definitely stay again next time we are in Miami!!
- 5/5
Beautiful and relaxing.
- 5/5
Well appointed good size room. Nice decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good high end restaurant for lunch and dinner. No breakfast is available at all. This was the only negative of this otherwise beautiful and well located hotel.
- 5/5
No complaints, the room was awesome
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Such a good hotel! It’s a hidden gem near everything. Even has a restaurant that you get 15% off bc you are staying. Food was SOO good. Drinks on point. Hallway and rooms gave grown and sexy vibes and smelled luxury. Really good place. Will stay again
- 5/5
Great walkable location. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Great value.
- 5/5
A wonderful small boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Great restaurant. Proximity to the beach was really good!!
- 5/5
Nice and close to ocean drive without the noise
- 4/5
Had to pay amenities daily fee even tho I didn’t use them the entire time, only once. Parking was a garage a block away but it was convenient
- 5/5
Very good location and staff, they upgraded my room and let me do late ckeck out
- 3/5
The hotel is lovely the location is great, but beware you will get charged an amenities charge per day of $36 per night and this is not optional, this pays for coffee pods water WiFi etc for the room, just left a slightly sour taste for what is otherwise a lovely hotel in an amazing area
- 5/5
Excellent all around
- 5/5
Freaking amazing
- 5/5
The Lemon Grass is a great smell throughout the property Recently remodeled Incredible Italian restaurant in the hotel. Close to everything including the beach.
- 4/5
Very nice and cool place.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. One thing I would suggest is having a mini fridge and microwave for guest .
- 4/5
Cute place but not sure why they charge a daily resort fee when there’s not even a pool. Also, the snacks and drinks in the room are 3 times the normal price and you get 1 free baby water bottle included, not even a full size.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
I wasn’t too crazy to have to ask the ‘front desk’ for everything all of the time. We needed ice and saw the ice bucket but didn’t know where to get it.
- 1/5
As per Expedia, per night amenity charges were $28 plus taxes and I have booked as per that rates and I have screenshot of the same however at the time of check in marlin hotel representative charged $32 plus taxes. This was very horrible incident I had faced. I never recommend the marlin hotel Miami to anyone.
- 1/5
This was one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The room #106 was extremely small. There was no sofa nor arm chair. Very small closet that was already full of stuff that we were charged for but didn’t use like 2 large robes, a safe on the floor, and a large canvas bags with two beach towels. No room to put anything on the floor. There was an extremely small refrigerator full of expensive treats like candy mini bottles of alcohol, chips etc., leaving absolutely no room for us to put anything in it. We were not interested in purchasing that junk. We brought our own snacks like fruit, veggie salads etc and had no way of keeping it cold. The bathroom was very small with no vanity space over the sink, to put our toiletries. That was so inconvenient trying to figure out how to manage these items/or rather where to place them. The bathroom is so close to the bed, it felt like we were sleeping in the bathroom. I found out later that all of the rooms are not that small. The picture accompanying our reservation showed a room with a queen size bed and a sofa. Imagine the shock when we saw this room. We chose to stay there only because we were traveling with several other family members who were staying there and we arrived to late at night to try to find another hotel. We made due as best we could. Even the bed was uncomfortable. I awoke each morning with a slight backache. Only positive was the room was clean. We paid over $600.00 for crap. Will never stay there again.
- 4/5
Did not like that anyone has access to the hotel…there is a restaurant attached and those guests, or anyone off the street, can walk into hotel hallways…you should need a key card to access the hotel room area.
- 4/5
Nice hotel...
- 5/5
My family loved the place. We enjoyed our stay very much!
- 5/5
It was a very nice hotel with comfortable beds.
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious-
- 2/5
When we arrived we waited about 15 minutes for someone from the front desk to greet us. There was only one person working so it was a very slow process. Once checked in we discovered the remotes controlled both TVs so they couldn't be watched at the same time. Also one TV didn't connect to apps at all while the other did. It was confusing. The only other option was direct TV which was basic cable and infomercials. When I called to ask for help, no one answered, so I had to walk down to the front desk to get assistance. He couldnt fix the issues so my kids couldn't watch TV.
- 5/5
Property is just a block from the beach. Beach chairs, umbrella, and towels are provided by the hotel. They have parking available at an indoor garage just a block away, allowing in and out privileges for a reasonable daily rate. Very attentive and friendly staff
- 5/5
Great location and clean hotel. Walking distance to everything
- 4/5
Only problem we had was time it took for hot water to come up and the sink faucet was loose. Hotel was a good value and recently renovated. Staff was very nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Staff could have been more knowledgeable. Didn’t like surprise fees.
- 5/5
Great price, great location and walking distance to the beach! Hotel even provides chairs, towels snd umbrellas! That was awesome! Gentleman that was at the desk when we arrived was so friendly and made us feel welcomed! Room wasn’t ready because we arrived early but he took bags and gave us towels and chairs so we could enjoy the beach until we were able to check-in. All staff were so polite and pleasant! Room was clean and spacious for myself and 2 children. The only thing I can say that was negative, was that I didn’t like the shower head but I would absolutely return to this hotel!
- 5/5
Very clean & welcoming !
- 5/5
The hotels were well kept, clean, close to the beach, and close to many places to eat. Management was exceptional. He was very accommodating, professional, and considerate. Will definitely return again!
- 4/5
Nice place but overrated.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel at a great location. Hotel is older / has character but felt modern. Nice touches like a beach bag in room with beach towels, and available beach chairs and umbrella. Convenient short walk to the beach and many nearby stores and restaurants. Nice restaurant in the lobby as well.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and rooms were very clean and nice. The building had so much character and was 5 min walk from the beach
- 5/5
An enjoyable stay. Staff friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel and restaurant
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Great place
- 4/5
Friendly and well located hotel
- 5/5
The hotel is located super close to the beach! They offered beach chairs and umbrellas. There are great restaurants all around. We were travelling with two 19 year old boys so they had their own room and raved about how comfortable the sofa bed was. It was literally big enough for two people to sleep in comfortably. The boys were playing music in their room pretty loud when I went over to visit their room but I couldn’t hear it at all from my room next door or out in the hall so I’d say the rooms are pretty sound proof. Although, at one point it did sound like there was an elephant walking above us but nothing that was too bothersome. The hotel shares space with a restaurant and they were very friendly and accommodating as well. They didn’t seem to mind us loitering around as the check in area is pretty small. I would definitely return!

Wonderful staffing and the room was very nice. Location is amazing, close to many restaurants. Totally recommend!

I had a cute corner room in the back of the main floor. It was a good size with a nice street view for people watching. I did get woken up in the mornings since I was by the back door but it was worth it. Had dinner at the restaurant one of the evening and the service and food were great. All the staff we interacted with were amazing. The main downside was the size of the bathroom counter and the fact that the towel bar was behind the door so it never quite opened all the way for mirror usage. The bed was a little firm for me but that's just personal preference. Overall it was a fabulous stay and I would recommend!

We recently stayed at The Marlin and overall had a wonderful experience. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of South Beach on Collins Ave—and the Art Deco charm, history, and boutique feel of the hotel really set it apart. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay, especially when a temporary issue with the key card system arose. While it was a little inconvenient to be escorted to our room each time we returned, they had it fully resolved by that evening, and the team handled it with grace and professionalism. The property itself was incredibly clean and well-maintained, and the vibe was upscale yet relaxed. However, there were a few minor downsides worth mentioning. The bed was firmer than we personally prefer, and the in-room entertainment was limited. The TV only offered a small selection of basic channels, and we were unable to connect to Netflix during our stay. Another area of confusion was the room service. The room details indicated that service from the on-site restaurant was available, but when we called to place an order, we were informed that it wasn’t possible over the phone. Instead, we had to go down to the front and wait for our food in person, which wasn’t the convenience we expected from a room service offering. Still, these small issues didn’t take away from the overall charm of the hotel. If you’re looking for a stylish, centrally located place with friendly staff and a clean, comfortable atmosphere this is it.

The place was excellent the only thing I would suggest is that they inform the guest that stay in room 108 that the music from the restaurant is extremely loud and they play the music till late, which is disruptive.

Well located close to ocean drive, but thankfully (for us) much quieter,

Unique Hotel in a great location, friendly staff, comfortable room. Lived up to every expectation!

Excellent quality here. Highly recommend.

But some things could be better. 1) Check in area is very cramped - desk, chairs - all too big for space. Reconsider the space. 2) The rooms on the main floor where the restaurant is have no key card at the entrance to make sure guests only can get to the rooms. Security could be better. 3) I get the rooms on the main level facing the building nextdoor will not have a view. But when you advertise as a boutique art deco experience, your window shouldn’t face garbage. Literally. Clean up the alley. Maybe paint a mural on the wall. It was ok. Would try another place next time.

The room was very noisy - like you are sleeping on the street- because the windows are original. This hotel is tiny, and you have to walk through the restaurant to get inside. No one holds the door open for you or greets you. Despite the expedia description, there is no parking on-site or valet parking. I planned to valet park for the $40/day - there was none. The only self-parking is the municipal parking down the street. I spoke with two different staff members - neither apologized. The restaurant was great but very expensive. I should have stayed at a larger, nicer property with newer windows and valet parking.

I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and so wanted to return. The hotel is not what it used to be. Staff is not as friendly as I'd expect except for the restaurant staff. They don't valet park anymore so you have to go a couple blocks to park in a public garage. No one to help with your bags. The toilet paper holder was broken in the room so really annoying. Not nearly enough coffee provided in the room. In the mornings hallways were full of dirty laundry. The restaurant is still very good. I won't stay here again but will return for the restaurant.

Such a cute hotel! Very friendly staff- check in and out was a breeze. My favourite thing was the umbrella and chair that could be borrowed for the beach. Loved my weekend vacation so much.

Enjoy my stay

The Marlin was a good stay, if you want to easily walk to the strip without paying a crazy amount of money. It’s a little quiet for my taste, but super convenient for a luxury stay without crazy foot traffic. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I saw a single other guest there in my 48 hours. If that is your preference, this is an awesome stay.

Spacious room with comfortable bedding and great a/c. Staff were super helpful and courteous. Highly recommended.

This stay would have had a much lower review rating had our room not been upgraded upon arrival! The initial room that was assigned to us was on the first floor and seemed dim upon entering, the one window faced the wall of the building next door and there were bed frame parts that littered the ground. It was awful. Thankfully, when we went to the desk and expressed our disappointment we were upgraded to a street view on the second floor that was MUCH better! I would only recommend this place for the street view rooms. Otherwise, front desk service was great, beach chairs and umbrellas were provided with the amenity fee that’s automatically applied. Great proximity to the beach!

Such a cute, clean, and comfortable hotel! Honestly it was perfect. The bedding was comfy, the room and hotel itself was super clean—you can smell the cleanliness immediately. But not in a fabuloso kind of way. More so in a “let’s make this feel like a true experience” kind of way. The amenities were great. I just can’t say enough great things. We will definitely be back!

This nice boutique hotel was in a great location, close to the beach. They supplied us with chairs and umbrellas to carry to the beach. There are many restaurants cliseby

Good location - 5 min walk to the beach. A bit noisy, party area. Bathroom was updated, but my room was a bit dusty near the bedside lights and could be cleaner.
- 5/5
Great location, accommodating and friendly staff. I had the corner suite which had a great view and a very comfortable bed. The bolognese and alla vodka pasta at Osteria Positano were chef’s kiss. I had a great stay.

Because of the location of the front corner room street noise can be heard but it’s not overwhelming. Great property.

Excellent location. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

I really didn’t want to give the hotel a bad review because everything else about it is lovely. The staff is friendly, the rooms are nice, and the location is excellent. However, I resent being misled and no one accepting responsibility for the inaccurate description online.

Our stay was great, the Marlin hotel is just a few blocks from the beach and restaurants. We love the location. The only thing is that our room was smaller than the pictures.

Like being in Italy!

The Marlin was clean, comfortable, and cozy. It’s a perfect location close to lots of excellent options for food and shops. The room was perfect for me and my husband. We will would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Miami.

Clean and updated. Great location. Would recommend!
- 4/5
Loved this art deco style hotel. We had a dinner at the restaurant on the main level that was fabulous! Great location, but partly because of the location, it is loud. The rooms are not sound proof so you hear everything that is happening on the street. The front desk was friendly.
- 4/5
We stayed in a corner suite which was very roomy, however, the noise from Collins Ave with cars and motorcycles made it difficult to fall asleep. The windows are older, so would suggest replacing to help with this situation. Other than the noise, would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff was excellent!

Excellence and even restaurant was very good

Lovely hotel very close to the beach in prime restaurant and bar area of South Beach. David was lovely and made check in a breeze. The ONLY reason we are giving a 4 star and not a 5 star was due to the fact that the front desk attendant would not give us any silverware from the restaurant to use in our room for a take out meal from another restaurant. She told us the only way to get tableware was to order room service and then suggested my husband go to Walgreens to purchase plasticware and napkins. REALLY??? Completely unacceptable. Sadly, he did so we ended up with a multi-pack of silverware and a double roll of paper towels because that is what Walgreens had.

There was not enough coffee and creamer. We told them 3 people and had two coffee cups and 2 caffeinated pods. We requested more cream and tgey said they’d bring but never did. They charged a 30$ fee to use the WiFi and beach chairs we never used and we still couldn’t get service for an extra couple of coffee pods and creamers and a coffee cup. The room was comfortable and a great location. All in all I would stay again but they could be more generous with their water and coffee; and I really felt the 30$ day fee was a surprise and inequitable.

Overall our stay was fantastic- Ada at reception was great and got us checked in early, knowing we were travelling with two tired kids. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Definitely 5 star meal and service. The room was great. We had issues with the bathroom door, but the beds and bedding and throw blankets from Sunday Citizen were awesome. Over all a great stay!!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I strongly recommend it!

Everything was perfect and exceeded all expectations for our 2 day getaway
- 5/5
Nice property near the beach. Hotel walls are thin so you can hear others talking/coughing/shower water. Resort fee was high for you get. I wish there was an opt out since I never used beach towels or other amenities. Italian restaurant in the lobby was really good.
