I like the location. The hotel needs to replace the floor carpets. It has a strong humidity smell and stop using incense like or spices smells. The smell sticks to your clothes, hair, luggage and all your belongings.

Located very conveniently to I-75, local stores, some quick bites, and major roadways. The elevator was broken, the AC in the stairwell was also broken as evidenced by a floor fan on the 3rd floor landing. The breakfast was okay on Sunday, but had weird egg patties, mixed vegetables, and hard boiled eggs that were inedible on Monday. Tuesday’s breakfast was even worse, with meatballs and mixed vegetables with the same awful boiled eggs.

-The hotel is old and the carpet in the humidity smells absolutely awful. By day 3 they had apparently sprayed some kind of air freshener so everything smelled like pine tree....gross. - Our shower barely had enough water pressure to wash our hair. -The "complimentary breakfast" is a joke. All in all, the location is great, really delicious Cuban food right across rhe street. But the hotel needs serious updating.

The only positive words I can share would be regarding the staff. The staff did a fine job, nothing spectacular, just what would be expected as a norm. And, parking was available. However, the overall condition of the hotel is poor. The carpet is old and stained throughout the whole place, and a musty smell in the hallways and rooms. The rooms themselves, are Terrible! Small, cramped and not well laid out. Proper care and Maintenance is visibly lacking. And, the water pressure for the shower was HORRIBLE! Drain in the sink was clogged and water backed up in the sink. Refrigerator didn't work at all, in fact the door would not even close. Definitely Do Not Recommend staying here. And, I will not ever spend my money to stay at this hotel again.

The place was not what is shown on the website. The hallways smell and the carpets are stained and disgusting. My initial impression was for the money and the proximity to the location of what I was in town for would do. The first room given to my family and I smelled like dog pee, had to ask for a room change. In which I will give credit for they did give us another room which did not smell. The pool, fitness room and the fountain outside the hotel were all down for maintenance and did not know exactly when the amenities would be restored. Having to ask for your basic necessities was a problem and the fact that they charge a $100.00 deposit for hotel incidentals and have not seen my despising yet! No one had any answers for anything I asked and everyone was just annoyed at having to do their basic job descriptions. One thing I will say the cleaning staff was nice and their complimentary breakfast was good. Other than that, I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean, fresh up to date hotel with working amenities. If in town for a brief visit and you don’t care about the hotel cleanliness then this would work.

When reporting this to the staff, one of the workers literally told us : it’s an old building. Is that why the rooms should be this dirty? Please, never ever book La Quinta Inn Miami Lakes. It’s a MINUS out of 10. I want a refund!!!!!!!!

The housekeeping staff knocks on door while we were sleeping before checkout time. They woke us up at 8:40 AM when our checkout was at 11am. Ruined our entire morning. We got in late and had to travel so we were not well rested. Also, breakfast sucked

I was a little disappointed this time. I always stay in this hotel and didn't have any trouble before. We stayed 5 days 4 nights this time and we had to get back up towels because they didn't have regular ones. Trash was never pick. So our bathroom trash stayed for the 5 days. There was always smell like cigarettes in the hallway. Beside that the rest was pretty good. Breakfast was great and it was quiet.

Absolutely nothing For starters the moment you walked in it smell of stale cigarette smoke slapped you in the face. Check in was not too bad since I did pre-check in but once we got to our floor the stale cigarette smell I felt just got worse. THEN opening the room door was a task in itself, the door wouldn’t open no matter how many time we tried until finally twisting the knob the opposite direction. And lastly, we had reserved a room with double beds and one of the beds was basically completely broken on one side (very much visibly broken) and once again the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. For the price we paid I honestly don’t think it was worth it. Oh and the pool was out of commission ? I have stayed in the exact hotel before and to tell you the truth it was better before.

Property is much older and worn than it appears on the internet. Charged a $100 security deposit at check in and told me that it may take 3-7 days for a refund. The included breakfast left much to be desired. Luke warm water in the shower only. Parking lot seemed relatively secure for overnight parking.

Horrible. Surprising since it’s in my neighborhood. About $500 for three nights. And there was no TV at all I could provide picture of how the TV was. The lock on my door was broken, which was pretty scary considering the condition of the hotel look like any weirdo could come in. It smelled awful.

This hotel was a complete disappointment for a Quinta Hotel. It's run down, dirty and outdated. I was first given a room that had two bags filled with trash when I waked into the and an unmade bed. The staff acted put out when I complained. Reluctantly they gave me another room. The entire building is dirty, the elevator didn't feel safe and the staff not very hospitable. I do NOT recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. It shouldn't even be listed on Hotel.Com

The hotel is in an excellent location and close to everything. Close to pharmacy, beauty salon, grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and expressways. The area is very safe and you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings!! Nice breakfast! They have an Area with washing machines and dryer to do your laundry. Staff are always nice and helpful and try to keep the facilities clean, but the hotel itself is in very poor conditions and in need of remodeling. Carpet is awful. Bathroom very old. Everything seems it could fall a part at anytime. They recently got a new property manager who has come with little innovative ideas that are really appreciated. I wish the owners could invest money in the hotel as is worth it for the location.

There were items in the room that needed attention. Every time we used the toilet the paper holder it fell off. The toilet seat was very loose also. If you leaned on the seat it felt like you could fall off. The electric plugs on the table quit working. We had to use a cord to plug into another outlet. Wet floor signs were left in the hallways that were carpeted. There was a leak in the ceiling in the lobby. The bed wasn’t the greatest. The exhaust fan was very loud. The air freshener was so thick in the room and hallway I had trouble breathing do to asthma.

This is the worst LaQuinta I’ve ever stayed at. There is a sour mildew smell as soon as you walk in. The door frame had rust on the door frame that we thought was blood at first glance. There was also rust on the shower curtain. If I were staying more than one night I would have made other arrangements or slept in the car.

So once we finally got situated in our room, we headed out to get food, as we approach the elevator, we discover a sign on it, saying that its temporarily out of service. Now mind you, this is the only elevator in a 4 story hotel. So, we had to walk down 3 flights of stairs with my elderly family member, whom just recently had knee surgury

The elevator was broken while we were there. We were also on the 4th floor with 2 young children. The pool was closed. There is no buffet breakfast. Just a basic continental breakfast you find everywhere. Which wasnt a bad thing other than they are not open until 7 a.m. on the weekends and we had to fly out that morning. The staff was friendly. It appaers as if they are trying to update and fix the motel. For $280 a not not worth it.

Estoy decepcionado de este hotel, fui con mis hijos y mi esposa luego de un día bastante agotador porque estábamos en una competencia de los niños, esperar en recepción más de 40 minutos porque no había nadie allí quien nos atendiera llegamos a las 12:30 y nos atendieron a la 1:10 am, el cuarto tenía un olor a marihuana tremendo casi no pudimos dormir, el cuarto estaba caliente,la persona de recepción con muy mala actitud, el desayuno muy básico solo había huevo sancochado y pan, sinceramente un desastre, no volvería a este sitio JAMÁS

Parking on property is no extra charge. Location is great. Bed was comfy. Cons: Room 415 - no cold water. Im not sure if it was just that room or others. Tub/shower creeked stepping in and out, didn't feel sturdy. Water pressure horrible. Breakfast was a let down. If you're expecting scrambled egg/bacon or sausage type breakfast, set your standards lower. Requested towels at 7am and never received more towels until we came back to the hotel at 8pm that same day. Was told to bring down the old towels. Elevator was sketchy. Had to guess what floor you were on.

The whole hotel was trashed. The shower curtain rod was torn out on both ends, so there was a foot gap on both ends, where water flooded the floor. TP dispenser was almost torn out of the wall. The carpets in the entrance and halls looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. No room service, so we had to take our own garbage out at nights to the dumpster and ask for clean towels every day. The pool and exercise room are out of service. Some days the breakfast food wasn't stocked, no bananas, yogurt, or pastries. The staff was ok. Not that friendly. I'm 75, and the worst motel I've stayed in during my life. It really should be shut down, or sold to somebody who cares about it

When I first checked in Room 209 the bathroom smelled like sewage. I was moved to room 207 I was sitting in the big mustard chair that’s all shredded & when I looked behind it there was an open Amazon package with trash in it behind the chair. Not only that the office chair in the room is worn down & shredded as well. You can tell once upon a time the chair was black now it’s gray ripped up & dirty looking. Last but not least the shower head has green mold on it, the soap & conditioner bottles that are stuck to the wall have brown residue around the bottle heads & the hotel staff are unwelcoming walking around with the nastiest looks on their face & will not speak unless you speak to them even when you speak to them in their native dialect. WORSE hotel stay ever in my life!!!

The Toilet would not flush have to raise the lid and reset the stopper each time. By the Air Conditioner a large amount of rust along wall. There was no hot water in the shower, over all the room was poorly maintained and should have never been rented. I have pictures to show the severity of neglect. Wyndham should be contacted about this hotel and remove it from its inventory. Breakfast was Instant Grits or boiled eggs The worst Breakfast I have ever had.

The entire property is rundown, outdated and feels because of it. We were disappointed in the property but we found a couple great places to each lunch and dinner just a short walk away. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. We believed that a Wyndham LaQuinta hotel would be of quality. We will be staying back at our Hilton Hamptons once again for their consistency.

The following day I went out all day. When I arrive at midnight, my bed wasn’t done. The night person insisted that he has explained that policy to me that hotel doesn’t clean the room unless you ask. I have never been in a hotel that had that policy or that I got a security fee. I think the place is terrible. The carpets are run down. The paintings on the wall are scratched. This morning, I stopped by the reception and told them about the issue of not cleaning the room and made the bed. I had spoken to the maid of that floor that morning, and she told me that several people have complained to her about the issue of having to ask for the room to be cleaned. Apparently, they don’t tell people when they check in that this is this policy. She also mentioned that they were about 17 rooms or so room in that floor, and it was very hard for one person to tidy up all the rooms. I suggested that they put it in the room a card to let people know that if they want the room clean, they must ask the reception. The hotel may be just trying to save money and not hire enough employees. I

The location was a nice location. Very close to interstate, convenient stores and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was minimal. The only hot food was waffles and boiled eggs. The rest was cereal, microwave oatmeal packets, yogurt, apple, bananas, toast and bagels. There is free coffee all day. The staff didn’t greet you when you came in or left through out the day. The walls n our room look like they needed to be cleaned. They look like something leaked from the room above and no one ever wipes the walls off. I was too afraid to touch it bc I didn’t know what it was.

The building is ran down and reeked of mold pulsating through the ac. The staff was welcoming and helpful (reason for 2 stars) with the exception of one Hispanic gentleman (tall, plus sized). He acted as if it was a major inconvenience for guests to speak with or request something from him. The hotel should definitely be renovated, inspected for mold and deep cleaned.

The front desk agent who initially assisted us had an unprofessional attitude. The reception area looked dirty, and the elevator had papers all over the floor. When we went up to the 3rd floor, the condition of the place was unacceptable: the carpet was extremely dirty with moisture stains and looked like something out of a horror movie. The room itself was dusty everywhere. We went back to the front desk to request a room change and explained everything we had seen. The employee went to check the elevator, and we could hear a frustrated shout. He came back holding the papers, saying it was now clean, with a sarcastic and mocking attitude. We were assigned another room, but it had the same issues. Because of this, I immediately contacted Expedia, who reached out to the hotel and handled the refund. About half an hour later, there was a change of staff at the front desk; the new person was very kind and professional. By that time, we had already decided to leave. This situation forced us to look for another hotel late at night, which ended up being more expensive. I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working, which made the room uncomfortable. The room itself had a strong, unpleasant smell and felt stinky throughout the stay. Breakfast options were also poor and unhealthy, mainly consisting of white flour bread with very limited nutritious choices. On top of that, I had to make repeated service requests for basic issues, which should not be necessary. Overall, this stay did not meet basic expectations for comfort or service, and I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was broken down disgusting dirty. The bed was put on the frame wrong, which ended up cutting both of us actually leaving me to bleed check-in was supposed to be at three but all the rooms were dirty and we weren’t even allowed to check in until 330. The door was all rusted out. The toilet paper holder was breaking off the wall. The tile in the shower was all broken and jagged and dangerous. The Wi-Fi barely worked.There were toenail clippings on the floor and the check-in area. Everything about this hotel was disgusting and disgusting is putting it nicely. I don’t think there’s a word to describe the atrociousness of this pathetically disgusting gross hotel if I could give it negative stars I would. I still quiver at the thought of how disgusting our day was oh and there was blood on the mattress so gross so gross so gross stay far far far far far away from this disgusting hotel.

This property is in need of a total renovation. That is not why I gave it 1 star. Hotels get old, it happens. My complaint is that it is not maintained well at all. There is dirt and filth on the room doors, in the corners of the floors, in the elevator, and the bathroom walls. It’s odd because the hotel staff is very nice and professional. They need to renovate, but that does not mean you don’t keep the place clean.

Talk about click and bait. The pictures you see online are no where NEAR what you find when your there. Elevator constantly breaking down, going to wrong floors. Going up when should be going down. I mean if you have to use electrical tape to hold your elevator in place then made you should get it fixed! Hallway carpets absolutely disgusting. Broken security doors and fountains. Pool closings. Only reason I gave this one star is because the staff was great and our room was clean.

The staff was changing shift, the guy that checked us in had his motor bike helmet on during the whole time: So unprofessional. And we asked if they had a room on the first floor: he put us in room was not up to par. So uncomfortable, tiny, smaller than the usual rooms we always get. stepped on some loose nails in the carpet next to the air conditioner and bed. From the moment we walked into the hotel, there was an unwelcoming smell that never went away throughout our stay. Even our room had a strange, musty odor, almost like mould, which made it hard to feel comfortable or relaxed. On top of that, every time we asked for brand new towels, the staff seemed dry. Travel from Orlando to Miami to spend 2 days of rest and relaxation. Upon arriving at the hotel, 5pm the reception was friendly, the check in very fast. When I get to the room I see the pillows wrinkled and I go to bed and I see hair on the bed and on the pillow, dirty sheet. I call the reception and they notify me that there is no housekeeping on duty. That in a moment they go up to change the bed. I leave and come back at 11pm the sheet is still the same. I communicate again and I am attended by a man in an annoying tone that they have no one to change it. I tell him to raise the sheets that I change them myself and he said he was busy. In 1 hour I go down and I was playing with the phone, with an annoying attitude he hands me the sheets. The check out the sunday 6am was the worst, I give him the card and he almost snatched it from my hand with a sigh of tiredness and annoyance he tells me that it's all I can leave. My stay there was disappointing. People with attitudes of annoyance and no desire to work should not serve the public. The houskeeping on Saturday afternoon was the only friendly thing about the hotel. He was able to attend to me and solve. Good attitude and kindness.

I had to go to the front desk several times. Food 2 egg rolls was left in the microwave from previous guest. Which mean the room wasn’t clean properly. The ironing board was board. I called the front desk spoke to Samantha. She told me someone will come up. No one never came up until I had to go back downstairs to come to find out that Samantha never told anyone because the manager asked her and she stated oh yeah she forgot. My Dislikes about the property is the breakfast not having much to offer and it’s the same stuff every day. They serve little muffins, bagel, waffle, along with Oatmea, and cereal. It’s the same breakfast routine and it’s gets boring not having another option. So I’m happy there was a Burger King that My Girlfriend and my self could have something different and hot. The A/C isn’t strong enough and gets hot when sleeping under the covers. The pool needs some remodeling. A brief synopsis of our stay! We requested a 2nd room because the 1st room’s a/c unit sounded like a helicópter. The a/c in the 2nd room sounded almost the same as in the 1st room! The closet sliding doors were off the tracks and one was tilted 45 degrees. The bathtub had glue stains from anti slip decals. The ceramic soap dish was cracked and had glue traces in each crack. There was a tire detailer working on the vehicle’s tires and was paid right there!The lobby and the bedroom carpets were soiled and smelled. At 1:00 am, someone was trying to open the door WITH A HOTEL CARD.
