    The property is very clean. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. The hallway was quiet for the most part. The pool area is kept and the pool looks clean. It would be good if the hotel had regular housekeeping services. They only clean once during a 7 day stay, we stayed for 7 days. I had to call twice to have the garbage picked up and a change of towels. It would be really good to have the room cleaned daily. The sofa in the room was dated, it needs to replaced along with pillows. There were two small pillows that did not give any back support.

    I mistakenly booked a room just after landing in Miami because my colleague sent me the wrong address, so I had to cancel it right after booking. I opened up a ticket with Expedia and they reached out them to not charge a fee but yet they have charged me the first night’s fee.

    The staff was very accommodating and nice. The hotel grounds and common areas were well kept and clean, but the electrical outlets on the lamps were loose and not working and the carpets were definitely dirty. I had the dirty wash clothes to prove it

    The atmosphere and accessibility was perfect. Our room felt like our own little hub without much fuss from other staying residents. Never once did I feel like I was unsafe or at risk of something bad happening. I know that you see a hotel by the highway and pause, but this is a little slice of paradise. This is honestly just being picky, but as someone who's a cleanfreak at home, it's a little annoying to look down in the shower and see a cracked tile or a rusting frame in the bathroom. Like it didn't make or break my experience, but I just looked down like "alright, someone could've fixed that". But in comparison to other hotels, it was a minor thing. The other thing was since it is close to a school and is in a quiet residential area, you will encounter school traffic and slower speed limits, which can be annoying if you're in a rush. Just things to consider if you plan to stay, but honestly not the most earth shattering con in comparison to other hotels I looked at before choosing this one. Oh, also the hotel uses downy pillows, so if you don't like those, bring your own.

    The hotel itself was nice. You have to request a microwave and wait for it to be installed. There is a $5 daily parking fee in an open air parking lot with signs posted to park at your own risk. There’s no complimentary water or breakfast. Sonesta is my choice hotel because the space and convenience, this one in particular I won’t be staying at again

    Breakfast was delicious. The pool and outdoor area was clean, pretty and refreshing. The carpets need cleaning or replacing and the showers are a little sporadic. But overall very nice stay and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful.

    the staff was not great but they tried. i requested a room with two beds and a couch, there were two beds but no couch. they couldnt get a couch, i asked for a couch as we had 3 pepole staying in the room and was told that there would be a couch when i made the reservations. there was no contanintal breakfast. no coffee until 10 am..

    It was in a nice area What I didn’t like about it is that we’re standing in a line to check in a the other guy came back from lunch and didn’t even ask who was next But as soon as a bus full of fight attent and ploit came he check them in but you had a line full of ppl in line so he just left the other person deal with the line and that to me was very rude and the other problem was the sign for the ice machine was very misleading the arrows was pointing one direction and there wasn’t any Ice went to front desk to find out and the Same guy Said ( Well they are normal on 3 & 4 floor But I guess I can find you some Ice and he did ) so I found that was very rude That how I felt about my stay and you have to pay for breakfast after all the money and deposit you had to pay That’s just sad ps I have a video

On another occasion, I complained about the shower water temperature, and the employee actually asked if maybe I was the problem for preferring a hotter shower. Overall, the customer service experience was very disappointing.

    The room was very dated. AC unit was falling apart and opened up at bottom right hand corner. Bathroom had rusty areas on door, by toilet and paint coming off an area in the wall. A roach was found crawling in the bed the morning we were leaving. Reported it to front desk. White stain in sofa.Room 112 was not a good stay. Would not advise anyone to book this hotel.

When a few unexpected issues arose during my stay, Sergio didn't hide in a back office—he was right there on the frontline. ​Why this stay was a 10/10: ​Hands-on Leadership: Sergio personally ensured that every detail was taken care of. He listens, he cares, and he takes immediate action. ​Outstanding Support: It’s clear that Sergio leads by example because the entire team follows suit.     I book this hotel last minute and I’m so happy my husband found this place. We stayed for a family emergency. The hotel was nice, the room was clean where you felt as if you were home, the staff was beyond friendly and understanding especially with my flights being delayed and canceled prior to our arrival.     . I’m disable told the personal . He gave me a room second floor and far away from the elevator . I had to go to the front desk second time because they were group of people drinking in the parking lot. Which I know they stay at the hotel and maybe had a hard day work or week . The gentleman gave me a room which was ok no noise but here we go again disable and room 350 far away from elevator. It seems that the young generation cannot distinguish and elderly person and disable . Need to be trained.

    The property was nice, everything was clean and worked well. Beds were comfortable, advertised as queen but were only doubles. The only thing that really needs to be advertised is that the pool is only open from dawn to dusk. In the summer when it doesn’t get dark until 10pm this is fine but in March it when it gets dark at 6:30 you don’t get a chance to use the pool if you are out exploring for the day.

    The hotel was very clean but some staff members were very rude. We arrived earlier than check in and was rold we had to wait til 4pm but then they were checking in others earlier than 4pm that dodnt pay anything extra & when i mentioned it was told i could then check in. As i was leaving we had left something in the room after the door just closed we asked a housekeeper that was cleaning the room right next door and she refused to let us back on to grab our item we left and told us we had to go downstairs and have someone let us back in which was crazy.

    Was told right after 4pm that the hotel could no longer accommodate my reservation and I was canceled, last minute had to find a new booking only for this hotel to attempt to charge my card twice plus an additional $200 charge for something. How do you cancel someone’s room same day of their reservation and then attempt to charge them anyway?! I’m glad I stayed in a different hotel, I won’t be recommending this again.

    There were ants in the room. Wifi would sometimes not connect, which seemed to be a regular issue. And I believe they had bed bugs as I woke up with some bites. When I asked the receptionist if they ever had bed bug issues he said he wasn't sure, but when writing down my complaint he had abbreviated it as "bb" leading me to believe this was a reoccurring issue if they have a shorthand for it.

    To be perfectly honest, I am giving 3 stars because my stay at this establishment served its purpose, but ultimately, I was very disappointed. It is not like I had unrealistic expectations, it is definitely a budget hotel, and I wasn’t expecting any luxury. That said, I was greeted by employees who seemed totally uninterested in any semblance of customer service. The disappointment continued once inside my room where the bathroom was not in the cleanest of conditions, and there was very weak water pressure, and I literally could not get the hot water to work properly. When I was checking out, I was greeted with the same lackluster customer service. The front desk clerk didn’t even bother to ask how my stay was. On the other hand, I have to be fair and say that the area was safe and centrally located. I will also say that despite the room not being very impressive, the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable. This hotel has no real amenities, but the staff at the café in the lobby was nice and it was convenient although not complementary. Despite the prime location, which was less than 10 minutes from my destination, it is unlikely that I will book a stay at this “hotel” ever again.

The balcony had cigarette butts on it. If you’re just looking for a place to stay it’s not awful, but it’s not good either.

    Arrived at 3 but had to wait till 4:39pm to check-in. When got to my room later that when I was taking a shower I realized the soap that was used from the person from the previous stay was still in the soap dish. Meaning house keeping didn’t clean the room properly. It’s was 2am so I knew there was nothing that could be done about it. The next day I asked housekeeping to clean my room. I returned again late that evening and my room wasn’t cleaned at all. I told the lady at the front desk and she told me we have to request that our rooms are cleaned. I told her I did. All she said was sorry. When I checked out the next day I was asked how was my stay. I advised the lady of all the issues I had and nothing was done. Just (I’m sorry)

    We are a family of 6 and requested two rooms. Each room had a king and a pull out sofa. When my 15 year old daughter pulled out one of the sofa cushions there was a used prophylactic. Utterly disgusted. We did receive a new room but the damage was done no one slept after a 9 hour car trip. The biggest disappointment was the staff it took two phone calls to get a manager on the phone. The day shift manager completely ignored my messages. I ultimately had to contact corporate to get a call back. The only compensation they could offer was one free night stay at their location. I won’t return nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

    Quiet location, hotel needs a renovation soon, starting to show rust, smells in carpet and paint chipping. Check in staff not friendly. Literally have to wait till 4 PM to check in even though I arrived back at 3:45. The check-in guy is not connected and does not represent hospitality. One staff told me something earlier versus when I actually checked in. Everyone needs to be on the same page. If the room is ready, I don’t see why you have to wait till 4 PM even though it was 15 minutes till 4.

    The proeprty is older and from the outside looks newish. I traveled with my family which included our 12 year old daughter, the website says nothing about the pool being closed but it was . Had I known I was booking a hotel in the middle of a Florida summer in Miami with no pool I would have booked else where. The room was huge, however the chairs were stained badly, cabinets coming apart, coffee maker would only work at bathroom outlet, and you must rely on it or pay for over priced coffee down stairs except if your an airline worker then you get the free coffee that is available once coffee place closes. Employee at desk was nice but seemed very over worked and exhausted. Carpets in halls need replacing . Beds were super comfy which was about the only good thing .

    The hotel did not feel overcrowded and the bedroom was clean. The bathroom has seen some wear and tear, but was overall clean. (Some spots on the wall/water damage to pictures that would require replacement, not just a cleaning). Parking was easy and abundant, never had trouble finding a spot close to the room. I never saw the restaurant in the lobby open, however there is a shopping center next door with a gas station, restaurants, bakeries, bars, utlities (massage envy, etc). (Next to check in there is a grab and go area with snacks and drinks for purchase). Hotel staff was very nice, however the services/offerings of the hotel were not explained at check -in. For example, the pool was still closed (said it was closed through June when originally booked) and based on previous reviews and photos...it looks like it is never open. Restaurant hours were not explained, and we never saw it open. There also were not ice machines, even though there were signs in the hallway and rooms labeled ice (they were just empty rooms). Every time I had a question for the staff or asked for help with something they were very friendly or accommodating.

    The pool is down for renovations in the middle of summer that was very unfortunate. Upon check in a first floor patio was hyped to us so we took it as it was advertised to enjoy your coffee in the morning well there was a patio but no chair or small table….. I asked 3 different times for a chair to be able to get some fresh air and all 3 times I was told someone was going to bring this to us and never did.     There was no breakfast included, which is unusual for most U.S. hotels at this price point. To make things worse, there was no coffee available in the lobby. When my husband attempted to pour himself a cup from what appeared to be a public coffee station, the cafeteria worker rudely informed him that it was “exclusive to the guests she was serving.” We were directed to buy our coffee from here under the name of “Starbucks” which clearly had no real affiliation with the brand. The entire facility felt outdated, with worn-out furniture and poorly maintained restrooms. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and we would not return or recommend it to anyone.

    Website stated that the property has a pool, but one doesnt find out till you check in and they hand you a paper stating that pool is closed(since 2023 mind you) . Smell like weed thru out the entire building, carpets in room and hall ways are extremely dirty and stained, garbage cans smell like dead animal or something rotten. The " Starbucks " is regular coffee in a starbucks cup. No variety of any kind in creamers or selection. They charge a hidden 5 dollars a day for parking( which you dont find out until you checked in), but posts thru out parking lot that they are not responsible for stolen items( no security at all, what are daily charges for?). Employees unaware of where maps of property and answers for questions is simply a " we are renovating", thats not an excuse for advertising the amenities of pools, starbucks,etc. NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL AT ALL.

    I want to express my opinion about the concierge that was at the front desk the 25 th april, and did't want to help me with the reserve he told me IIhad to make on line, send me back and of course.I didn'tmake well( Im 78 years old) and that cost me a lot of time and money no empaty at all with old people like me other than that., everything was ok

    I’m giving Sonesta Select Miami Lakes a glowing 5-star review! The hotel was incredibly beautiful, spotlessly clean, and had such a welcoming atmosphere. The customer service was truly exceptional—every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and professional. I also felt very safe throughout my stay, which gave me such peace of mind. Another bonus: there were plenty of great restaurants within walking distance, making it super convenient. I was very satisfied with my stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

    Well first of all nothing is free at this hotel. Not even a hot water everything you have to pay for. All the room attendant are spanish no english not very friendly you have to ask to clean room and change towels. I would never use this hotel again.

    We stayed here for the Miami Open tennis tourney and it was okay. The pool was closed (which was disappointing), but the fitness room was actually pretty good for a hotel. We were upgraded to a suite, which I appreciated. There was questionable "dealings" happening in the back parking lot every single night. It didn't make me feel super safe. The rooms were clean, but dated. I loved having a grocery store and numerous restaurants within walking distance.

    This is your basic hotel. Nothing special. Not a fan of no housekeeping. Fridge is nice, but wish it had a microwave. Room temperature seemed to either be frigid or sauna.
