Everything was beautiful and service was excellent. Thank you again for a wonderful, safe comfortable place to hang my hat.

Clean room, great Mountain View, great staff

Bathroom not the cleanest
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. We were on the 4th floor near the elevator but didn’t experience much noise at all, even on the Holiday weekend.

I was charged $ 40 for no apparent reason

It was dope

Great customer service!

The pool was nice. I paid for the stay in advance with booking dot com. When I checked in they asked for a credit card just for Incidentals. I told them I already paid for everything but they insisted that I had a card on file anyways. Well after I get us all checked in and go up to my room I get an alert that the hotel charged me for 2 nights! So I went directly back to the front desk and asked them to remove it. They said they can not but not to worry it was just for incidentals and the pending charge will be taken off after we check out. Well guess what??!! It did not it was fully charged again for 2 nights. So when I got home I called the hotel and explained everything. Then I realized, oh my gosh it was the same guy that promised it would not be charged and that the pending charge would disappear. Well he had no memory of our conversation even though it was just 2 days ago. Well I tried to talk to a manager but was put on hold and then they hung up on me and when I called back the manager was on a 2 hour lunch break? So I filled out the complaint on booking dot com and they took over the case for me and after 30 days booking refunded me the money.

Great room and staff
- 3/5
The staff was not very helpful, and the room cleaning is every other day....
- 3/5
Everything was good just little things like the toilet was to close to the wall and the bed not lined up to the bed.
- 4/5
Breakfast ok
- 5/5
All guest respective was good epically old blak dude and mid Hispanic
- 5/5
Just stayed overnight. Clean room, quick and efficient check in and check out
- 4/5
Water temperature uneven in the shower
- 4/5
The room was nice and spacious. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast included had a good selection
- 5/5
Upon arriving the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly, check in was smooth and easy, and my room was fantastic. Even though I came down for surgery at City of Hope, I was able to unwind and enjoy the hotel. then when my surgery was moved later that day, the staff was very accommodating and allowed me to checkout late, I usually stay at Hilton brand but over the years the service had declined, and parking was bad and the staff tried but it wasn't what my wife and I was used to. The staff at Double Tree tried and for that i applaud them but our business is now all Courtyard by Marriott. excellent service.
- 5/5
Stayed one night. The room was clean and quiet (we requested to stay on the other end away from the freeway).
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly staff. I used the gym which was really nice with new equipment. Nice area. Will definitely stay there again
- 3/5
The baseboards in the bathroom were extremely dirty, the ice machines on the 3rd and 7th floor were nit working, and 3:00 check in time is too late.
- 4.5/5
Convenient location to freeway
- 5/5
It's cleanliness All was good
- 5/5
Location and ease of access from the freeway. Balcony door could have opened I would have enjoyed my coffee in the morning on the balcony instead I had to look through the glass.
- 0.5/5
Close to freeway entrance Free parking Small shopping center near Loud A/C unit , stayed 2 nights came back to no clean towels , good thing we had our own from home , beds were not made room wasn't clean , so much for being on vacation .Bathroom are too small no air vent or air circulation, shower head not for a tall person , definitely did not meet the Marriott expectations, room rates or too expensive for the size
- 3/5
There was a clump of hair on the bed.... rooms were outdated but the lobby was nice.
- 5/5
Great friendly staff!
- 3.5/5
It was close to cancer hospital. Small bathroom
- 5/5
Professional and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable and staff couldn't be friendlier
- 4.5/5
The location was convenient and easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable. The gym was clean and simple and had water machine. Water station was available at near the front desk. Staff at the front desk was polite, friendly, and efficient. The location, being close the the 210 Freeway, was a double-edged sword. The convenience comes with a bit of road noise, as our window faced the 210, but it wasn't too bad. By the time we went to bed, the traffic subsided quite a bit.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Once they knew I was there to have some tests done at city of Hope they offered me a discount tak
- 5/5
Convenient for our visit- The 210 freeway getting there-not your fault
- 2/5
The room wasn’t clean. The tub/shower was totally noticeably dirty with hair mixed in with the dirt. I got a different room, with no apology for the dirty room which I showed him a picture of. I switched hotels in the morning.
- 5/5
I had stayed at a cheaper hotel nearby 2 weeks previously and was very disappointed because the hot tub was barely warm, so essentially unusable, and that hotel didn’t seem to care. Well I’m glad they were so dismissive because it made me look for other accommodations and this hotel is much better quality and only $10 more per night.
- 5/5
The hotel was very warm and inviting. The One Bedroom king was very spacious and had a great layout. The outlets and available space to work was amazing inside the hotel room and in the lobby. There are numerous outlets and plugins throughout which I need as I work as I travel. I was super excited to also see the bathtub/shower combo. I will definitely be back. Wonderful hotel with friendly staff. Pool and hot tubs were very inviting and I enjoyed my afternoon.
- 4/5
The stay was great! The staff was great! The only downside was the shower. It would not get hot!!
- 5/5
Friendly and amazing
- 1.5/5
The one good thing it was very clean You charge way too much for what you don't give. No microwave in the room? Ridiculous. No free breakfast? I have to check a box? That's ridiculous.
- 2/5
I Actually Didn't Have Breakfast There And Noticed No One Else Did Either. I Definitely Liked The Friendly And Professional Clerk @ Check In. I Also Liked The Friendly And Professional Lady @ Check Out. I Definitely Didn't Like The Bathroom Light That Turned Off In The Middle Of A Shower. I Truly Didn't Like Hot Water Getting Cold While Washing My Hair. I Definitely Didn't Like The Dirty Looking Couch & Footstool. I Definitely Could've Done With Out The Mini Fridge Falling On Feet Every Time I Opened It. I Truly Didn't Like How You Locked The Balcony Door. Yup Definitely The Best Part Of The Room. I Couldn't Sit On Balcony & Enjoy The Fresh Outdoors While Drinking My Coffee. Yup Your Pool Was To Small & The Jacuzzi Water Looked Dirty. I Definitely Hated That When I Went To Get A Luggage Cart. I Was Locked Out Of My Room @ 11:51 am. I Know I Had More Than Enough Time To Get My Luggage. Oh Yeah When I Informed Housekeeping They Mocked Me In Spanish And Said Didn't My Dumb Ass Know It Was Pass Checkout Time. I Stunned Them And Said No It's Not Pal. Yup Definitely Open The Door But Made Me Very Disappointed.
- 4/5
Good stay
- 1.5/5
Clean and quiet. Free parking No breakfast, if there was I wasn't made aware of it.
- 5/5
room is clean just regret is no room cleaning
- 4.5/5
Layout of the room worked well for us. Having Starbucks coffee, pastries and fruit/yogurt was extremely nice for us light breakfast eaters! Free parking was safe and very convienent to the hotel! We wished the cleaning of the hotel and makeup of the beds was a little more frequent. (ie every other day would have worked for us).
- 5/5
The employee that checked us in was extremely kind. They had the pack & play we requested set up upon arrival as well.
- 5/5
I actually didn’t have breakfast but all was excellent the staff, the room and parking was great!
- 1/5
The room definitely felt neglected. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, I got a cliped toenail stuck in my foot from the floor next to the bed, the tv had a damaged screen and wouldn't stay on, and the mattress was like sleeping on a kindergarten nap mat. The wifi is extremely slow with little to no bandwidth. This felt like a one star motel.
- 3/5
Great
- 4/5
Otherwise the hotel's location is very convenient; easy parking and safe. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Not the cleanest, saw some hair in the bathroom - specifically the door and tub.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staffs
- 5/5
Very clean room, great welcome, great service!
- 2/5
Fifth time staying here. Every other time was a good experience. The staff, room, accommodations...it was always welcoming and pleasant. This time, not so much. We arrived at about 11pm for check in. The host at the desk was dressed and acted like a thug straight from the ghetto. Our room wad dingy and the a/c was set at 52 degrees (it was pouring rain ouside). The bathroom had teallow stains covering the ceiling, the bathtub was stained brown and all of the body wash, shampoo and conditioner bottles were completely empty. I removed them just to double check. It was just a very poor experience for our Christmas stay.
- 1/5
bad service, bad room, no help will never stay there ever again
- 4/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Comfortable, clean, friendly front desk, quick check-in, $20 deposit only, free parking
- 5/5
It was great and very close to downtown with other areas to explore which were very convenient! Nothing bad to say, although.. if you’re kinda tall, the shower head/tub is quite small. Not complaining, just mentioning that.
- 5/5
I came in after midnight. Only one room was available and it was excellent. I appreciated the caring way in which itv was provided.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
The room, lobby and surrounding area was awesome!! Will definitely book again. Thanks again
- 2/5
This hotel is grossly understaffed. The employees are mannerable.. The hotel is poorly managed. Manager is hardly around. If the msmager is the owner they should do better if not the owner neef to terminate their employment before they put this out of business. Rooms are filthy, toilet has mold, 1 bar of soap for a family of four and two towels, broken thermostat, if you expect new towels, soap or cleaning you won't even after complaining. So you just have to go to the front desk and wait to get these things. It was awful. I see why there were not many people., The only choice closest to the job training so it'll have to do but vacation wise no this would not be my choice hotel.... I don't recommend it for long stay over 48 hours or if traveling with a family don't stay here.
- 5/5
great

Close to restaurants and frewmeway
- 5/5
i wish there was a microwave
- 4/5
Clean Room....
- 4.5/5
Location and comfort. Breakfast
- 3/5
It was noisy. The problem is the hotel does not have a quiet room, or they would not like to help. Anyway when I asked if I could just cancel all other nights and only charge me for one night, so I can go out to find another hotel, of course no help at all. As you all know — this is America! We only receive money, but not the other way around. They immediately gave me an email which basically cancelled all, and I got 0 credit back. Refund? Go ask Expedia, you are not even their customer, you are a customer of Expedia.
- 3/5
The staff was excellent! There were some other challenges. The remote never fully worked well, the tv didn't come on initially. They sent a tech who get the tv to work, but the remote struggled. The water in the shower was too hot to take a shower, which they lowered the temp slightly in time for me to make a meeting. Also, I'm not a fan of cleaning the room once every three days. I expect a higher level of quality from a Marriott property.
- 5/5
everyone was very friendly
- 5/5
Professional & very courteous, friendly service from all staff
- 5/5
Great property it is close to the highway which is a plus and a minus. It was easy to go places but it was a bit loud.
- 4/5
Ok
- 5/5
Stayed here for a concert at the Rose Bowl. Convenient location with shops and restaurants across the street. Free parking was great. Staff was nice. Room was clean. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Everything was very nice, easy parking excellent customer service and clean room as well.
- 5/5
Easy check in, free parking. Easy access to on ramps, restaurants and gas.
- 5/5
Private and quiet.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Check-in to check-out, everyone was pleasant and accommodating. Great property!
- 3/5
Can hear noise from the streets and the other rooms. No slippers available.
- 4/5
Pool was nice price for water to expensive
- 5/5
I was offered water
- 5/5
My room was very neat, clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the service provided. Staff was very friendly. I loved the view from my room.
- 3/5
There was hair present on the shower drain. Dust present. Just felt uneasy with how clean everything actually was.
- 3/5
Im so imbrassed I didn’t get the name of the gentleman that check me in this whole stay was the only one that Gave itb150%
- 3/5
It was mediocre
- 5/5
The location is close to somnay
- 5/5
Very nice property, looks newly remodeled. Super friendly staff. Bonus for me was the onsite bar and bistro. I did find noise from the highway and road loud, had to wear earplugs to sleep. But would definitely return.
- 5/5
Nice quiet very clean hotel
- 2/5
Another issue I noticed was a safety hazard—on my way back to the room, the AC unit door in the hallway above was hanging open and low enough that someone could easily walk into it. Overall, the hotel is pretty average. My main disappointment was the lack of rest and comfort, which are really the most important things when staying somewhere.
- 5/5
It really was a short trip but the comfort of the room really makes a difference! wished we have stayed more days!
- 5/5
Everyone was nice and welcoming
- 3/5
Shower head would not adjust.
- 5/5
Very convenient to the freeway and dining. Had breakfast which isn't provided, and it was a bit pricy.
- 5/5
Easy on-off for the 210 freeway. Dining options within walking distance. Nice room set-up. The bedroom is separate from the “living room” - so, small suite type of room.
- 4/5
Walls are thin, you can hear people in the next room
- 5/5
Use this hotel often for my work trips. Always quiet and friendly staff.
- 1/5
Freeway view and noise from room all night. dirty carpet and dirty furniture. Could not sleep at all and then cleaning staff do not respect the do not disturb sign and knock at door relentlessly. No rest at all! Food spoiled in the fridge because the hallway light near the closet controls the refrigerator and coffee maker power and was not aware that when I turn it off to try and rest at night that I was turning off the refrigerator. I was quoted one price with Expedia and ended up being charged much higher. Bait and switch.
- 5/5
Excellent. Will revisit in the future.
- 5/5
Was okay. Good times at the pool
- 5/5
It is a quiet location. I know oeople complain about the freeway noise. I dont hear it when I sleepm. The bed is comfortable and the hotel is next to sone great shops.
- 5/5
Will stay again
- 4/5

- 5/5
Property is in a great location. Walking distance to several restaurants and gas station
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Visited the area to take in the races at Santa Anita for a couple of days. Convenient location. Free parking a plus. Room was very comfortable. Will return.
- 3/5
Room was extremely basic, didn’t even have art on the walls. Light switch and wall surrounding them was dirt. Tv credenza was dusty. Very basic toiletries, not even lotion. HVAC was extremely loud and it was either too hot or too cold.
- 5/5
Great Property and Great Stay for us. Hot Tub and Pool are a phenomenal amenity.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Great service and convenient location
- 5/5
This was my second stay at the Courtyard Marriott Los Angeles Pasadena/Monrovia. There was a reason why I came back. It was because of the cleanliness of the property and the friendliness and availability of the staff. I appreciate this location is central to many of the sights of the city
- 3/5
The stay was nice but the whole night there was a group of men and woman standing outside the hotel from the moment i arrived till past 12am! Probably a group of 8-10 ppl, made me feel unsafe.
- 2/5
The room would have been comfortable had it not been for a fowl odor that smelled like the mix of urine and possibly mildew. Also bad odor in hallways. Will not be staying there ever again.
- 5/5
I am happy & satisfied with my stay at Courtyard by Marriott. This was not the first time but I always make reservation with Courtyard by Marriott (Monrovia, CA) when I need a place to stay.
- 5/5
The welcoming and warm atmosphere
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
We arrived here during chaotic conditions: mandatory evacuation of local neighborhoods, and hotel had just had their power restored. Check in was delayed, not surprisingly, but the staff were amazing, working hard to restore order and keep everyone comfortable while waiting, even providing food. Too many helpful staff to name. We were very impressed! And the hotel room itself is very comfortable, clean and appealing. Thanks to all.
- 5/5
Great location and easy parking.
- 4/5
From the property amenities on Expedia, there should have been a microwave in the room. Restaurant on site was not open the entire time during our stay, i'm taking into account the holidays as well. With that being said, there should have been someone there to receive guests for food, drink.
- 5/5
The room was great. It had a musty smell, but that was the only thing that gave our stay a ding. Everything else was perfect. Not only did they have free parking, they also had free charging for our car. The staff was very friendly and super accommodating. We will definitely stay there again
- 2/5
The property was a bit run down and not especially clean, but worst of all was the fact that all of the rooms are subject to noise from the 210 Freeway and have old windows that provide no sound insulation. I got almost no sleep the first night of my two-night stay. I cancelled the second night and at least the hotel approved a refund for the second night, although getting the refund through Expedia took some work.
- 4/5
The restaurant has friendly, helpful staff and delicious food. We ate the Bistro Burger and Fries combo, really great! Very, very filling. Overall a very nice stay. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Windows need to be upgraded. Could hear the cars on the busy freeway.
- 5/5
None
- 3/5
Well, the room was so so television is very old did not have enough channels on the cable and the worst thing was the shower. It kept switching from boiling hot to ice cold.
- 3/5
Nice hotel but price wasn’t worth it. The freeway noise was unbearable. I don’t sleep well listening to traffic
- 5/5
Easy checkin and a lot of parking spaces.
- 5/5
Attentive front desk staff. Clean common areas and the room was clean. Looks like the hotel is undergoing an upgrade, so some areas reflect those activities. Looks to be almost done. Very pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Very nice location
- 3/5
It's a fair stay
- 3/5
The hotel was outdated. They need some renovation done special in the bathrooms.
- 4/5
overalls are good and convenient
- 5/5
Loved the rooms. hotel was very nice, clean and safe.
- 5/5
Nothing to complain about
- 4/5
Property was under construction
- 5/5
The staff was very nice, attentive and available
- 2/5
No warning that the entire property is being renovated, the lobby and elevators are awful, and the Jacuzzi doesn't work. I've never stayed at a Marriott in such bad shape, this is a black eye for the brand.
- 4/5
It was very clean and staffs very nice
- 3/5
The bed was so uncomfortable my back is still hurting one week later.
- 5/5
Victor at the front desk is the type of employee needed at every company in every industry, especially us Service personnel . I appreciate my stay here everyone is very friendly here. Best hotel experience I’ve had all 2024 thus far.
- 5/5
My day was very comfortable and quiet. Parking was convenient and the location Was close to many popular restaurants and shopping venues.
- 4/5
The window insulation is inadequate the outside noise is loud making it difficult to rest or sleep. The hotel is being renovated and some consideration would be appreciated to help with the noise control.
- 3/5
Our room was noisy from adjacent construction. We couldn't seem to control our room temperature with the handheld remotes.
- 3/5
Under renovation, was told the floor I was on was done. The room I stayed in had new carpet and new TV, but furniture was visibly quite worn. AC unit didn't work. Motion light in the bathroom could not be turned off, so any night time movement meant bright light. The TV was glued to the desk and could not be pushed over, leaving only about 10" of space for working. On the highway with car noise constantly present in the room - AC may muffle it if the unit works. Next to a shopping area and close to restaurants.
- 3/5
Building was currently going under renovation during our vacation stay
- 4/5
Nice room however the roar of the 210 freeway made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. Ear plugs should be given at check in. The bed was also very hard. All staff members were great and very helpful.
- 5/5
Very clean, good quality
- 5/5
Amazing stay
- 1/5
I had a bad experience at this hotel due to noise from the pipes when someone would shower. The noises started at around 4:30 and proceeded with construction work at 8 without any notice. Made it difficult to get solid restful sleep
- 1/5
I had an important appointment to attend with my 81 year old mother and when we tried to leave there was a note taped to the elevator saying it would be out of service for “a couple hours”! I did NOT feel comfortable with my mom walking down the stairs to our car (metal stairs with no backing) but eventually we had no choice because I could not miss my appointment. I felt for the staff because I’m sure they were receiving a lot of complaints but they mostly wanted to blame everything on the construction crew and really did not want to hear my concerns. Bottom line is the hotel should be closed during renovations for the safety and comfort of their guests rather than trying to make money off of other people’s discomfort.
- 3/5
Construction was done on the property. It was noisy and dirty. The front desk staff wasn't available sometimes. The restaurant did not had the food listed on the menu. The management of the hotel should notify customers what to expect before they book a room. It is frustrating.
- 2/5
Construction and cockroach inside the room.
- 4/5
Based ourselves in Pasadena and explored all around LA - great week’s vacation. Hotel staff were excellent, especially Victor on reception and the ladies in the coffee shop
- 5/5
Our 50th Class reunion was held there. Perfect location
- 5/5
Excellent staff!!! Loved it all!!
- 4/5
Bathroom needs to be upgraded
- 5/5
The front desk woman who checked me in was very nice and helpful
- 2/5
I canceled my booking
- 4/5
Overall, I would stay again and get breakfast included. They have the good yogurt.
- 5/5
Went for Miss USA
- 2/5
Room.was not thoroughly clean. Food and crumbs were discovered on the furniture and floor from the previous guests.
- 4/5
the room was clean and fine. just a little outdated in decor. the interstate was very noisy but thats not the hotels fault. the staff were super friendly and helpful. good shopping and choice of eating out close-by.
- 5/5
We liked everything about this hotel. Friendly service and hotel was in great condition.. recommend booking this place for a weekend trip.. rooms are spacious and comfortable..
- 5/5
great job.. reception super friendly
- 2/5
area was good
- 5/5
Clean and nice
- 4/5
Courtyard Los Angeles Pasadena/Monrovia offers a decent stay with friendly staff and a convenient location. The rooms, while a bit small and not spotless, are comfortable enough for a short visit. It’s a good option for a 3-night stay if you're looking for basic accommodations.
- 3/5
I included breakfast but it was confusing? You can only chose one beverage, Nickle and diming, water, coffee or juice- I ordered a coffee and a small orange juice $5.30….our cleaning service was non existent, we decided not to have it.
- 5/5
I loved my stay at the Marriott, the only thing is I wished they still had the balconies open. me and my man was really looking forward to the balcony. But other than that the stay was awesome!
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
I frequently visit family nearby and this is my hotel of choice
- 2/5
The employees were really terrific.the poor rating overall is because we stayed at your property because of the location and the pool. We could only use the pool the day of arrival. We went to the pool the next day and could not gain access. When I asked the front desk they said it was closed for the next 3 days due to tiling inside the hotel- nothing near the pool. Apparently, it was the only way to walk to the pool. No future notice. Nothing. Very disappointed
- 5/5
Freeway close and many, many restaurant options. If you need to stay on N.E side of San Garbriel Valley, you can't go wrong staying at the Monrovia Courtyard by Marriott.
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Clean the restroom well
- 4/5
There was a bug in bedding and they immediately assigned a new room.
- 4/5
I liked it it was nice only problem was One of the elevators was broken
- 3/5
It had a balcony which was not accessible to the occupants
