The staff was nice. The air freshener they use in the hallways is sickening. Who wants to breathe in all of these chemicals? The slamming of hotel doors in the hallway went on until close to 3am. Also, the parking lot outside my room was full of people making noise until very late. I had to go to sleep with the TV on to drown out the noise!

As we have found at other So Cal hotels, there were homeless people allowed to sleep in the lobby. Certainly, not what I would expect from a hotel as nice as this one. The room was clean and presentable, but we found the shower difficult to get to a comfortable temperature, and the air conditioner was very loud. There is no breakfast included, but the breakfast that was available for a fee was comprehensive and tasty.

This double tree is in a clutch location. Not too far from the Rose Bowl. Starbucks is in the parking lot. They greeted me with 2 dank cookies. How can you not love this place?

The hotel was nice, spacious, clean. I loved the full size lotions, shampoo and conditioner. The staff were extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with. The plus is it was right off the freeway and Starbucks and Chick Fil-A were in the same parking lot of the hotel. The only thing that could’ve been better was the AC. it was very loud and a little frustrating to keep a comfortable temperature. It was either very cold or stuffy but otherwise a great hotel. It had a nice pool and restaurant but we didn’t use either because it was a short stay and had a busy weekend.

Nice stay. It was only a 15 minute drive from the Pasadena convention center. It had free parking which doesn't exist in Pasadena. The hotel was beautiful and clean. It also costed less than hotels in Pasadena. Would I stay again? Absolutely without a doubt. The area surrounding it was clean and lots of places to eat too. Overall great experience

While it was some distance from the city, the location was really nice and scenic. I feel some of the interior decor could be refurbished to hit it a newer, fresher feel.

I’ve always stayed at the property every time we travel this time. I was really disappointed. I was t charged for a night that I did not reserve after I stayed a week and the property manager was horrible. His name is Ryan. Everyone else was great. I would definitely would not recommend that property. not as long as that manager is there it seems like even employees are not happy with him.

The hotel was really nice and the staff was super friendly. I was a little disappointed that I paid extra for the infinity tub and the jets didn’t work, but overall still a 5 star stay.

Our room had ants in it. Told main desk and they said they’d get housekeeping to clean again while we were out for the day. Upon our return there still were ants in the bathroom and in the desk. Got an apology from the front desk.

My original room had a strange noise that kept me up at night. By the next day, I was moved into a new room and my stay was very enjoyable! The rooms are clean, breakfast was delicious, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating! I will definitely stay at this hotel during my next stay. Also, the location was perfect! Staff was nice. Friendly. The facility is a an accident waiting to happen. Bathroom tubs look nice, but poorly thought through and hazardous. The tile floors everywhere are slippery when a little water is on them. There is no pad for the floor of the bathtub which functions as shower. The surface was slimmy. Fall hazard. The front entrance to the hotel has a plastic chain across it to warn that it is unsafe when wet. Why don’t you fix it. I’m not angry with you guys. You just have multiple unsafe things. Send your attorneys in for an overnight stay. Just offering some friendly observations. You don’t have a business center printer that works. Really?? I needed one for parking pass printout. Took a couple hours to figure that out. I didn’t object the $1600. I just think you should do better. Not a functional stay.

Very clean room. The shower is very slippery and for an older person traveling alone, that was concerning. Bed and pillows are perfect. Firm bed, combination pillows, two of each. AC works great! Very friendly staff. Delicious food.

I was at the hotel for several days. The maid did not clean my room on one of those days. I even noted the problem at check-out. The person at the front desk said if I reported the issue to Hotels.com, I could get a refund on one night's cost. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were clean. It would be five stars, except for the fact they had water issues. The tapwater came out brown and had to be run for a long time before it became clear. Also, the shower was only lukewarm and never quite got hot enough. If they can fix their water issues, it would be a five star hotel. Also we really appreciated the free parking!

Overall, our stays was great! The location of the hotel is convenient enough for me and my wife to travel around town and quick access to the 210 Freeway. But, do note the hotel and rooms are aged and lots of the interior are not as new as it appears. The love couch has weird stains on it and headboard are dirty as well. But I would still recommend Hilton Monrovia to you all.

I made a reservation on 11/14/2025-11/16/2025 but updated 11/15-11/17 and paid some penalty for update, but when I arrived in Doubletree Hilton in Monrovia, Expedia didn’t send any notices to this Hotel, so I paid directly $395,08 again and at the same time I called Expedia to requesting refund which Hilton front desk asked me to cancel it, and Expedia agreed, but Expedia refunded only $120 instead of $450, Why Expedia didn’t refund my money to long time customer? I’m so disappointed, Expedia never responded like this way in last 20 yrs. What happened? Please refund my money about $330 as soon as possible. Room was great, nice and clean. however we put on their Hilton app a room with a pool view but instead we got a view of a commercial building. Will be coming here again though such a convenient location next to a lot of good restaurants, and a mall.

Around 1:00 a.m. a noise woke us up. Sounds like a water pipe. Went to front desk and they apologized and said they know about the issue but arent sure what exactly it is. Staff is nice and hotel is clean but sleeping is the main goal at a hotel so wasnt a good experience.

The cleaning maid service was exceptional.

Everything was great until night time. The pipes had a continuous loud bang, turbulent screeching howl that kept waking me up every night of my stay. It was eerie and scary to wake up each night to those sound. The hotel seemed possessed.

It was ok. I booked for king size bed and they gave me a room with two queen beds. Free parking is a plus but they do not have EV parking. It is right off from 210 freeway and Starbucks and Chick fil a next to the hotel.

The room was spotless to the exception of an old stain (coffee, vomit?) on an upholstered chaise-longue. Staff were super nice. Breakfast was plentiful even if the pastry was not the best on earth. Very good value for money, though. Would return.

The entire staff was awesome -- very upbeat, helpful, willing to go the extra mile. Caprice at the front desk was a gem. Martha, who works in the breakfast area, could easily handle the job of several air traffic controllers at the same time. She's unstoppable! Also, I found the bed to be particularly cozy. Kudos to the housekeeping staff!

This was my second visit at this location. Room turn over was great. Some places just make the bed and don’t change the sheets, but they did changed them each time. The $7 breakfast buffet is definitely worth it. Walkable but still nice to have a car to get around. Pool and hot tub are nice and clean. Overall private and hospitable. I would stay again.

My friend and I both had to go down to Libby to get new key cards as ours stopped working after the first night. Super inconvenient. The girl at the front desk knew nothing about the area when we asked about restaurant recommendations. However, the male Guest Service guy did so that was helpful. I tried to iron some clothes, but the ironing board was inoperable and broken.

Check-in was fast, and I was greeted with a warm cookie. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. My room was clean, updated, and the AC worked perfectly. Overall, the accommodations were very comfortable. I didn’t try the hotel’s breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. The one drawback—and the reason I didn’t give five stars—is housekeeping noise in the mornings. The room itself was spotless, but every morning around 9 a.m. the housekeeping staff started working and were quite loud in the hallways. Even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign up, it was hard to sleep past 9 without being woken up. This wasn’t a one-time thing; it happened every day of my multi-night stay. If you’re there for a business trip, you will likely be off the property before 9 and it won’t even be a That said, I would still return here because everything else was excellent. Next time, I’ll just pack some earplugs and hope for quieter mornings.

Sliding door for bathroom was very difficult to open and repeatedly had to be forced open. Wall mounts for the t.v.s were installed facing away from the beds. at full rotation we only had a 45° angle view from the bed closest to the door. Very annoying.

Doubletree is a reliable hotel brand. This location follows suit. The staff were friendly and responsive. The room was soacious with a great view of the San Gabriel Mountains.

I booked this trip for my husband to attend a car show & visit with friends. This hotel was clean, the room was large and comfortable. Overall he had a good trip but I do have two big problems. One feature that I looked for was a room that included breakfast. He was denied breakfast from the attendant the 1st day and had to go pay out of pocket. He complained but it kept happening & he had to involve management. So my first problem was that they continued to make him feel uncomfortable in the breakfast area. My 2nd problem is that management should have offered him some sort of compensation - a drink at the bar, a comped meal, an upgraded room, some points toward his next stay, something, especially since this happened more than once & they were clearly aware of the problem employee. This was an opportunity to create a repeat customer as he/we travel to LA quite a lot and they failed. I don't expect everything to be perfect but I do expect wrinkles to be smoothed and for some amount of customer-first service.

Everything was perfect besides for the tub in the room. While using the tub to take a bath and relax, the paint was constantly chipping off on the side/bottom of the tub resulting in a bunch of paint chips just floating around.

I liked my stay but the only thing I didn’t like is that my room key didn’t work and I had to go to the front desk 3 times before they finally sent someone to let me into my room.

We had an amazing week staying there, everyone was so pleasant. Breakfast was top notch, omelettes made by the cook was so good! Was very clean and staff cleaning rooms did a great job! Easy on and easy off the highway. Would definitely go again.

When I checked in on August 3rd, I was given room 815. I went to the room and proceeded to settle in until the entry hall light started blinking like a strobe light and I found a spot of dried blood on the comforter. I immediately reported it and was given a 2nd room, 705. I entered the room and found the curtains filthy and when I went to close them, the rod fell off and some of the curtain detached from the hooks. The rod was not attached properly. It looked like it was, but it was not. Again, I reported it. At this point I messaged Hilyon hotels on IG. The front desk took hours to find a room for me. I left to have lunch and returned. The same front desk clerk who was supposed to find another room saw me re enter the hotel. I went back to room 705 and found the key card didnt work. I had to go back downstairs to let them know. The same manager said she had another room for me room 912. The thing is, rather than stopping me when I entered the hotel letting me know and providing the room key cards, I was going up and down getting the new cards then getting my things and then on to the 3rd room. I was assured a supervisor would fully inspect room 912 so that there weren't any more problems. All of this took place in one day, Sunday August 3rd.

I’m sinking into the bed and enjoying the surroundings and amenities. The cabanas outside near pool are a nice touch. Had a great burger at Elements. My only suggestion would be to update the shower/bath. Make it a larger shower without the bath. Recommended. Will definitely book again.

When I changed my reservation date it was lost. Upon arrival I was given a room and the key didn’t work. Was sent to the WRONG ROOM BY THE STAFF. Took three trips by me from the room to the front desk to finally straighten it out.

Everything was good. Just one bad experience trying to contact the front desk.to inform.them of late arrival, and I got a rude AI program! You can tell this program was purchased because it promised shorter phone help for us customers but all it did was piss me off. Talks too fast. Gave me wrong information. When I did arrive at the hotel, one clerk aggreed with my assessment and gave me a card with the front desk direct number.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and attractive, and not the usual hotel-cookie cutter design. Love the deep bathtub with glass panel. Staff were friendly and extra helpful. There was ample free parking. The welcome complementary cookie was delicious!

I ask both Lauren and Christopher, would you be comfortable sleeping in a hotel room with cockroaches?! Would you be upset that the hotel tells you and your family there’s nothing they can do?! Neither one of them bothered to even check if they had bug spray or anything, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Lauren processed a refund for our room and told us we could go elsewhere. Needless to stay we left this DUMP. We will NEVER stay here again and will make sure to tell our friends, family, and the public how DISGUSTING and DIRTY this property is. GO A BLOCK TO THE COURTYARD MARRIOTT. BETTER SERVICE AND CLEANER ROOMS!

The hotel is nice, the staff are pleasant, located in a safe area, and the rooms are clean. My only complaint is that the shower door was broken so I had to lodge a washcloth to keep door from opening when showering. The shower grout was also murky looking. Could you some maintenance there.

The property was very nice overall. The AC in our room seemed to malfunction at times during the night. Otherwise, everything was great.

Staff was great! The rooms were pretty clean and the property within walking distance to local restaurants and shops.

Really the only downside was the AC unit in the room was so noisy. None of us slept! It was an old wall unit and it was too hot to turn off...

What I found unique about this property was that the room was meticulously clean and well-maintained. I typically find flaws here and there in even "nice" hotels. But the Doubletree was exceptional.

Room was dark and dingy our view out two windows were a roof with air conditioners, are room was next to a elevator and our air conditioner in our room was as noisy as the elevators, not a good night sleep by any means.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and safe. We’ll be back for sure!

Double tree Arcadia is definitely my go to location and will continue to be my main location when in the area.

I love this hotel and maricio was great at welcoming me at check-in. however my sink was clogged and no proper acknowledgment was made. Definitely inconvenient.

If you don't have asthma or respiratory issues, this property is ok. The rooms are very nice, definitely a cut above a Hampton Inn or such. But if your lungs require TLC this is not the place for you. It's a sealed building (you can't open the window), and they load up on scented cleaning products that make it very hard to breathe comfortably - even for me, and I'm an athlete. Also our bed was weirdly lumpy. Other than that, service was friendly (although not prompt), property is well-run and in good condition. To summarize: if you're the kind of person who needs to smell the chemicals to feel a place is clean, this is the hotel for you. Everyone else, you may want to look elsewhere.

Feels like a 1 star. Old, dirty, musty, smelly, moldy, dusty. No idea how they have good reviews. Worst experience by far and I stay 40-60 nights a year in hotels for business across the country.

I had an unusual shower where I had to climb into a tub; it was treacherous. Once in there, the shower was great but they need a step stool. Otherwise it was great.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Lumpy bed. Didn't like that just anyone can access the elevator without needing the card.

We had a great 8 night stay, the pool and hot tub being open until 11pm was an awesome way to wrap up our busy days! The food at the Elements restaurant and the Doubletree cookies were delicious. I would definitely stay here again, this location is about 30 mins to an hour away to all of the popular tourist destinations, not including traffic of course!
