The room has no housekeeping. If wanted new towels had to drop off at the desk. For an extended stay there was no breakfast on grab and go muffins. Had to ask for and then pick up dishes and cups from the front desk. The sofa had rips in it there was no dresser to put clothes in. The bed was right up against the a/c unit. Has to crawl in and out of the bed so I would not knock into it.

When we arrived, the front desk was extremely rude. She told us our reservation was erased from her system and could not give us a room even though we had a confirmation number. She was impolite and seemed she was asleep since we arrived a bit past midnight. I will never be staying here. The staff was horrible at customer service

It smelled bad just walking down to our room. I had to ask the desk to move us to a different room because it smelled like something died. The staff was helpful they were able to get us a room that didn’t smell, furniture is a bit beat down.

Very standard amenities aside from in room cook top and refrigerator.

Horrible hallway. Room stinks so bad. Hallway around unit 140 smells like homeless or filthy animals. Room service is only every 14 days or you pay $10. I took my own air freshener and sprayed the entire room. The area is good because walking distance to Cane’s chicken. But it feels unsafe because there’s a lot of homeless around the area.. I wish they could improve on this smell. The hallway is horrible. The laundry room is nice, but there was only one washer working out of four and it eat coins meaning I put more than what I should. Please clean your room and hallway make it better smelling for people.

I did not like the noise level. Between the loud fridge noise, the AC, and the traffic right outside the window, I did not sleep all night. The noise created an environment of fatigue. Not peaceful at all.

Horrible place. Will nvr stay at an extended stay. Lobby, hallways, and rooms had a stench, like a homeless person who hasn’t showered or rotting food smell. Our first room’s AC was broken making a really loud clicking noise. So asked to get moved to another room. That next room had a rotting food smell. Absolutely disgusting.

Worst place to stay, won't give us better rooms because we booked through Expedia. Drains were leaking on to the carpet in the hallway. Had to walk over wet stinking carpet

The management is terrible. Maria, the manager violates the basic civil rights of guests. Guests will be kicked out if they talk on their telephone while in the lobby. Guests are required to clear with management to even say hello to other people on the property. There are roaches and lead in the building. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY.

The room was very dusty. We traveled all night, arriving at 7am however we were not able to check in until 3pm no matter what. Once we finally got to our room, the lamps were dusty, the bathroom sink had dirty water rings on it and most importantly getting to our room, the smell of cigaretter smoke was unbearable. I most likely wont ever book with Extended Stay again.

The room weren’t queen beds they were full size rollaways, the bathroom had burned counter top, the chairs were chewed up by dogs, the toilet paper was so cheap and when we asked for more we had to get it from the front desk and they were allowed to give 1 only per stay, if we wanted clean towels we had to drop them off at the front and picked then up the next day so we were out of towels for almost 2 days. Paint in the bathroom was peeling, the bathroom was leaking, the stairs had a super strong smell of pee, the hotel smelled like weed and front desk staff just said , oh its normal because people walk by all the time which is not true, people smoked weed in the rooms. When we had trash front desk send us to walk to the end of the property to put it in the hotel trash can which it was locked and placed where it was not safe to walk alone. Overall awful experience and we could not check out to go to a decent hotel, wish if we had this type of experience, we should be able to cancel the reservation and look for a different hotel. Staff was good.

Hallways smelled. A cross between pet odor and fried food. Only stayed 2 nights and really only needed a place to sleep for my short trip to the area. Staff was friendly/helpful enough. Overall, about what I would expect for what I paid.

I was so disappointed. Prior to my check in I received a call from an employee from the extended stay hotel inquiring if I was still coming or did I plan to cancel. i’ve never received such a call. When it turned out to be was that she wanted me to pay ahead of my arrival which I did with the card I had on file when I did check in. I asked about the call unfortunately she was not no longer in the office so I received really no explanation. On top of that the toilet leak run all night. It was loud very disappointed. AC was good

The microwave was louder than a motorcycle, and both the coffee maker and hair dryer didn’t work because the outlet was broken—which the front desk already knew about. There was no shampoo or bath soap provided. I booked a three-night stay but had to get my key reactivated at the front desk every single day. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

This was a horrible experience. We had roaches in our bathroom, people smoking cigarettes and marijuana outside our window. After we seen the huge roaches (yes more than one) in the bathroom we packed up and left immediately. Horrible, nasty and disgusting.

The neglect to upkeep this establishment is extremely noticeable and quite gross considering the photos presented online versus what you actually experience after check in. I stayed in a non smoking section and yet my room had a strong stale odor mixed with lingering cigarette smell. I took photos of the damages preexisting to my stay and the dust/ stains on the lamp shades, bed frame, sofa, ceiling, and the worst of it was the tub and toilet. Truly an appalling experience again considering what is being sold online. Front desk staff was nice but not very helpful and was not present when checking out despite waiting for awhile for assistance.

There was no breakfast when I went by this morning nor any one in the office to ask why . This was around 7:15 am .

Barely feel like a 2 star hotel. Romm smells and feel old. There was small old kitchenette with no utensils, no pans, plates, kettle in the cabinets. Nothing even no coffee maker. The tub was painted and was peeling, not in good shape, break fast room like small 5X5 sqft including coffee, hot water, instant oat, small muffins, small 37g Nutri bar, nothing else, no bread, no butter no nothing. Location was good and accessible to shopping nearby.

The staff was nice. The room was dirty. There was no shampoo or any toiletries. When I got into bed, the were long black hairs on the sheets. I felt icky and crawly all night. Not professional at all I had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to come help me … the room wasn’t as clean as expected and the bed had some metal springs coming out the bed !! Checked into the SECOND room, shower didn’t work, rude staff, dirty cleaning rags hanging from the shower rod. You can’t make this stuff up. I was incredulous. Never again.

The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the staff was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and kind, but the rooms were not completely clean and the first room was leaking from the ceiling in two different spots. We were thankfully moved to a different room, but it was a smaller bed and so the last night there was very uncomfortable. Also there was a dead roach in the kitchen cabinet. Another issue was that they let homeless people come in to get their “free breakfast” which was just coffee and wrapped muffins and granola bars.

This hotel was a five minute walk to the Arcadia metro station. The metro is 1.75 to Union Station (plus $2 to buy a tap card) and then $12.75 to get the Flyaway bus from Union Station to LAX.

Clean room

The room felt neglected and old. Even worse, the hallways and ice room smelled like someone had urinated in them. It was very uncomfortable and we had to go elsewhere.

Bad smell, stained bedding and carpets, curtains in need of replacing, water bubble in ceiling above the bed, refrigerator and the Ac were loud when running, mold in the bathrooms, mattress stained, holes and tears in couch. TV was old could only watch their cable instead of stream your services on a smart tv. Had to check out any dishes or appliances you wanted to use. No shampoo or lotion but they did have some small bars of soap available. I would never stay here again.

Staff and area are great. This is an aging property that needs some serious remodeling and new furniture. The top sheet on our bed had a hole in it from wear. The tub had some stains and it didn't look clean.

I have nothing but Praise for Extended Stay on 5th St in Monrovia CA and this will be My Go To when I am in the area in need of a Motel , Extended Stay is a Much Better Motel than the El Rancho Motel in Pasadena And Or Motel 6 and Better Prices Actually Better All Around

The young lady representative with the short hair was exceptionally helpful and polite. She offered extra time if needed to check out even though we did not need it. The location did not have pool or Jacuzzi which was unfortunate, we would have indulged, but that was not why we were there. The restaurant are in quick proximity which we loved. The vending machine was pricy, a bag of chips was $4.05. The rooms are a bit older and shower had paint peeling and the shower head sprayed weird but the sleep was good and comfy and the water was long lasting hot. I would stay there again.

I was very dissatisfied with my stay. This was the only hotel that had availability and the AC was not working. Along with that, there was a funky smell as he walked into the room. I tried asking the front to see if there was any other room available and they told me no and the best they can do is offer a 15% discount. That still does not justify the condition I am in from how I slept. Then they wanted to charge me a late checkout.

Great location for us, comfortable room. We stayed a few nights - the kitchen was perfect for cooking a couple of meals. At the beginning of our stay there was a booking error and we didn't get the right room; employee Heidi went above and beyond to make sure we got moved to the right room the next night. Kudos to her for great customer service.

Older and a little run down. Like the bathroom should be redone. It had an "older" smell when walking in. However, everything was clean. The fridge was clean and cold. Had a stove, idk if it worked. The microwave was the smallest microwave I've ever seen, but it worked. For a weekend stay, it fulfilled our needs. Staff was friendly, gave us an extra towel, soap, and shampoo. Check in/out was easy. Oh only downside, don't take the stairs, it smelled like urine.

Nice and safe area. Staff were very friendly. When we first arrived the room given to us had a not so cold air conditioner but as soon as told the front desk they changed our room. Very easy. Great place to stay and will definitely be back.

Staff was generally courteous. Room was clean to start with, but by the time I finished my two weeks stay, it definitely needed room service (their policy is no free room service for stays upto two weeks - so you have to remove your trash too). You have to ask for utensils and dishes at the front desk if you intend to cook. In my room the fridge was leaking and it didn't get fixed till I left.

We paid $700 for four nights. There were cockroaches. The room key would not work. We had to replace it several times throughout our four night stay. There was rarely an attendent there to assist us. Kitchen sink was clogged. Wet stains in hallway. We took our own trash out. When my husband tried to rebook because he is working on fire clean up and is having a hard time finding hotels in the area, they stated they wouldn't book to us because of an odor in the room, but wouldnt specify what kind of odor. I have never been told I was unable to restay at a hotel in my life. I am shocked and beyond upset.

The halls smell like something died. The bathroom has mold around the tub. There was food in the kitchen sink. Maid needs to be more thorough in cleaning. So im sure sheets weren't even changed. Elevator is slow as hell and loud. No ice machines. Coffee wasn't fresh. And breakfast didn't exist. False advertisement.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed myself very much!! I brought my animals because we're having to come back to Glendale CA to help take care of my sister while she gets better from being pretty sick and in the hospital. My animals loved the place. One of my cats was constantly looking out the window watching everyone and my other cat loved laying in the bed as well as my dog who loved the whole room. Everyone from the staff to other guests of the hotel were always so friendly and helpful. And I had some of the best nights sleep I've ever had in a hotel here. I truly enjoyed my stay and would recommend anyone to try this hotel. It's absolutely wonderful. I'll definitely go back there to stay again and I am going to recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you and can't wait to go to you again!!!!!

On more then one occasion I was unable to enter my room do to my room keys not working. The first night my room keys looked me out of my room which I had to get them activated again. On the second night I had two room keys with me this time and those two locked me out of my room also. The elevator seems run down, the whole hotel smells of smoke, even though they are a none smoking hotel. I would not recommend this place.

Check in time was 3 we got there at 430 was told it wasn’t ready had to wait until 5 got our room then went to go eat came back card key didn’t work there was a sign saying be back in 45 mins now we can’t get into our room finally got it fixed the person didn’t say sorry nothing just good luck. There was trash in drawers and a hair tie in the food out bed showing it wasn’t cleaned. We will not stay at an extended stay again

Not my choice of hotel to stay. I’m not budget limited but had no choice after driving 4 hours to attend a seminar the next day coz I was bumped out of the double tree next door.

The location was fantastic. Right off the freeway and close to shopping and restaurants. The lobby was clean and the front desk was helpful. Plenty of parking and easy access to the rooms. The room however was not worth the price. Poorly patched holes in the wall covered up with an equally bad paint job. The carpet, linens, blankets, bedspread, bathroom towels were worn, threadbare, and had a few stains. The bottom of the bathroom tub was questionable at best. I had to use a bath towel as a bath mat inside the tub so I could stand in the shower. Mold was growing in the bathroom tile. I was surprised and shocked by what I say. I can't honestly say I would recommend this hotel, nor would I wish to stay there again.

Nos dieron otra habitación a las 23hs y al otro dia mudar todo (no teniamos tiempo ya que ibamos a Disney y teníamos que leventarnos temprano). Al dia siguiente nos dijo otro empleado que tenian q tener la habitación libre asi q a las 7 am mudando toodo. Una noche hubo una situación violenta que nos despertó 3 veces en la noche. Al final decidimos irnos del hotel.

The complete room is out dated, in need of major renovation.

We were looking for a decently priced room that also allowed us to have dogs for a nearby family funeral, and this location did the trick. The rooms were decently priced and the dog/pet fee was not very high. The quality of the location was OK. The building could use some deep cleaning and updates, but the room was pretty decent. There is more than enough space and it had all the amenities we needed. There wasn’t much within walking distance that would allow us to take the dogs with us, but a few places that were nearby were sufficient enough for us to grab something if we needed to.

The 1st night we stayed we had cops knocking on the door at 12am to the right of us, our 2nd we spotted about 10 roaches, pull out sofa was stained with what looked almost like blood stains, 3rd night at about 11pm until about 2am the neighbors on the lefts of us were fighting severely where stuff was being thrown and broken throughout the room, cops were called and kept coming back and fourth the neighbors room to ours asking us questions. Did report it and was only offered $20 discount

Ants everywhere, bed extremely hard and worn out, tub glaze peeling, hallways smells like smoke, old building not kept up

Pot smell in hallways. Street people in lobby and hanging out in elevator. We left.

The room was really nice memory of home

I asked for a coffee machine, they said check back later. I did and they were too busy to get one. I needed to stay another day and they were too busy to confirm one for me.

I was requested a smoking free room and the room smelled really bad and one of the beds was very uncomfortable! I never gonna choose this hotel brand again!

booking went well, check in my keys did not work. Dogs were barking on all sides of the room non stop.When stepping on the floor in the bathroom water was coming through the cracks. At first I though it wasn't dried well =But it was so much water my socks got wet and water continues to come through floor panels. There was ants and roaches in the mini kitchen and bathroom. I reported it. Reportedly there was no other room to put me and my husband in. The desk lady said if she got someone they only work 09-1700. I relayed I work nights and need to go to sleep so could not have the service guy during that time and were would I go during their fix it time. The next day I asked again, we moved to another room. Same problem with the floor. ( this is not acceptable= where is the water coming from) I asked for more towels and the worker said I needed to give up the old towels. I told her they were on the flook...The "Breakfast" offerings at 07:30 was slim to none. We had to ask for the desk to refill the few items they had and waited over 15 minutes. (two days in a row) If the offer is continental breakfast - they should advertise that. If I could have found another venue, I would have left. But I think with the work series every hotel was booked. I was tired for my shifts and had to drive and work sleepy.

Never again. 1 star at best, but rated as 3 star. Ver unsafe. Pot smokers all over the place. Extremely dirty.

The breakfast was snack bars. No fresh food. The coffee was ok, but Panera and Trader Joe’s are walking distance. Man with big Pitbull walking down the hall was a bit intimidating.

It was SO disgusting!! Cockroaches running around the room everywhere. No shampoo ,& conditioner,No soap, no dishes, no silverware,nothing nice about it!! It smells like weed throughout the entire hotel. The smell hit me as soo as i opened the lobby door. The guy at the front desk was so rude. I tried to be friendly to him and not even a smile no response I remember a couple years ago when we stayed there it was nothing like this the guy was friendly but now they have a bunch of homeless people all around the building that looks like they got kicked out and are sleeping outside the building. Do not pay you I asked for a refund as soon as I seen the Cockroaches and they refuse to give me a refund I did not sleep all night I was not about to get in that bed very very dirty !!

Not a desirable place to stay! It was dirty, had the musty smell, supposedly non-smoking but entire inn smelled like cigarette. The room where we stayed, the carpet was dirty and sticky, the bathroom had mildew and ants. The air conditioner was so so. The grab breakfast items like the muffins was stale. Never again will we stay at Extended Stay

Convenient location, property is a little run down. Only one elevator works and the restroom needs an update. The door kept getting stuck on us when we tried to entered

Took a while for someone to appear at desk to check in. The entire property smells of Marijuana, all the time. At least I could open the window for "fresh air" but it is next to the freeway so it's a little noisy. The room was fine, though. And staff was fine once they got there.

Rooms and corridor were smelling. Inside areas were run-down. There were ants in the room. Not worth the money. Avoid.

Too many homeless people, dirty rooms and no breakfast options

Room was dirty and there was white liquid leaking out of the floors. Hallway smelled like sewer and the hallway carpet was squishy and flooded with some type of water.

It was a terrible experience. The guy at the front desk had a nasty attitude. He denied our booking we had made at hotels.com. They said that that’s what how they did it. Overbooked and it was my problem for not checking before when I know my booking. Was already confirmed. Although, we never stayed, they still charged me. I wish they would have handled it different. At least a phone call saying that my booking was being cancelled.

My tub was moldy and covered in soap scum, like it was never cleaned, the carpet was stained and the magnetic keys kept being demagnetized and I would have to regularly get them re-set which was a pain. The staff were very kind and lovely people.

Luciano was the staff on site and was it very clear he was not a happy camper working there we called him out on his rudeness he returned my id walked away and left us without a place to stay that night. Absolutely terrible customer service

Worst experience. There is no one at reception any time. Every time we have to wait for few mins for someone to appear from inside

Good location. Maintenance of common area need deep cleaning, hallways elevators. Breakfast is not really breakfast, what is provided is minimal and there is no eating area like other hotels.

Great staff

There is no hair dryer, kitchen tools in the room. I asked the front desk to barrow them but it was used.So I didn’t get any chance to get them.

Hotel was ok, the hallway in the stairs area had a strong smell like if they never cleaned it. The room was ok until the air conditioning went out in the middle of the night, heat was only blowing out making it uncomfortable to rest.

I was double charged, but they fixed it. The keycard system was down, had to wait to be let into our room. Also, we requested a toaster and utensils and were told to give them 30 mins, but never came.
