If you just need a bed to sleep it serves. I wouldn’t stay here again. No hairdryer as advertised, but front desk found working one on 2nd try. Deadbolt broken on room door (concerning). Fridge leg broken so it wobbled and was very dented on top. Hotel in general shows wear and tear (scratched paint on walls, older carpet). Desk chair is like one of those chairs at a conference room that stacks. No usb outlets or enough outlets to charge phones and still have clock plugged in. TV very small and up in the corner on top of the cupboard. No desk lamps, and lights on motion detection (I assume to save energy, but if you wanted a light on at night you had to either leave on the bathroom one or really bright ceiling lights. In the shower it had soap on the wall (which I like more than those little travel ones you used to get), but it was on the wall outside of the shower. So you had to reach out, dripping wet to get the soap. Also, no conditioner, just conditioning shampoo. If you’re a woman with long hair that doesn’t work. Just had a sketchy vibe about it. If it hadn’t been late and my husband was exhausted from driving, I would have left.

The toilet made a screeching sound every time it’s used and remained doing so all night.. other than that everything was good.

The hotel was close to the event we were attending The room seemed dirty, the electrical outlets were weak and didn’t hold plug ins I needed to use, the light at the door kept coming on for no reason throughout the night, the other guests were super noisy and disrespectful in the hallway near our room, the coffee maker was dirty and gross.

Parking was right in front. I didn't need breakfast since my morning meeting had it but the offerings were ok.
- 4/5
Bathroom showers need to be remodeled, bigger televisions and place the mini fridge in the cabinet or take it out
- 4/5
the price corresponds to the quality, cheap does not always mean good, there was no refrigerator or microwave in the roombut the bed was clean the bathroom was clean
- 1.5/5
We were going for our kids’ swim meet, the location is very close to the pool, which made us feel convenient. The room is super small, there’s no refrigerator or microwave in the room. The lights don’t work and also the AC.
- 5/5
A quiet stay. I asked to move rooms and they facilitated without issue. Staff were great. They even put breakfast out a little early for the kids and I. Will stay again.
- 1/5
Terrible terrible place! Mirror in restroom had mold, pictures were hanging crooked, fire alarm was hanging off the ceiling from the cords, tub cracked, and roaches in the restroom

Great place. Very friendly front desk host. She was very accomodatng
- 2/5
Room had roaches
- 3/5
There's no clean water. The air conditioning is loud, and the breakfast is very poorly organized! The price/quality ratio doesn't match. I've stayed in worse hotels, but when there's a soccer tournament, you can't choose. Also, the orange juice was watered down—I've never seen that even in cheap hotels.
- 2/5
I knew the hotel was older, but I didn’t expect so many maintenance issues. Our first room had visible mold in the bathroom, though Guest Services responded quickly via text and moved us to a new room. The second room was cleaner, but the sink clogged immediately, the bathroom door had a patched‑up hole, the door frame was rusted, and the mini fridge caused condensation that soaked the tabletop. Breakfast was basic with mostly frozen and pre‑packaged items. Staff communication was good, but overall upkeep and room conditions were disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not book this hotel again.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, and clean room
- 1/5
I paid over $200.00 for a king size bed with a couch and I got there they told me that they have no king size what so ever and I had over paid for the room. But no refund either. Be carefull with the apps selling you something is not there or the hotel la lied about the rooms.
- 1/5
Bathroom was appalling. Rust and chips on doorframe, bathtub was stained at the bottom, mirror had black coming up from the bottom, showerhead was leaking, tub hardware was stained and dull looking, stains on the floor under the sink, carpet was tattered at the doorframe, top of door way frame had rust and metal was chipped. After the condition of the room I tore my bed sheets off the bed to look for bedbugs. Didn't find any. I didn't want to walk on the floors or carpet in bare feet. Everything was so gros.Walked in socks the entire time. Out of the shower, I stepped onto a towel and immediately put socks on. Lastly, due to the condition of the room, I placed several items in front of the door at night, because everything just seemed sketchy. Eww.

The room was extremely clean. I was placed in a room with a toddler in the room above for the whole evening. I would just hear the running back-and-forth. Whenever I left the hotel and came back to my room, my key would not work.. I remember hearing another customer when I first checked in having the same issue with his key. And they gave me the same response as to why of the keep being sensitive not having it close to your phone or any other card so I kept it so in my pocket and had issues every time. When I would go down to the front desk, I always felt like the girls were on repetitive mode because it’s a normal thing for the keys to not work.. I also didn’t like the giant mirror behind the bed with a dim lighting. It was just odd to me..
- 1/5
I was very disappointed with our experience staying here. I knew we would be coming in late and notified the hotel that we would be checking in around 11 PM when we showed up at 11:07 PM there was no front desk person there. We rang the bell, called the hotel on the phone multiple times, called the central reservation desk who tried calling the hotel, and contacted Expedia. We (myself, my husband, my mother-in-law, and my three small children) basically waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes before a front desk Person arrived, Domino’s Pizza in hand. Obviously that person was late for their shift or the person before them left early and/or didn’t wait for the next person to arrive. We did not get into our room until almost midnight, and we were leaving early the next morning. I would have booked any other hotel to not have had this experience.

The front desk staff is always amazing. The rooms seem to be falling apart little by little but are still good for now.

Yes all very good

We were first given a handicap room on the first floor which we did not request and we are not handicapped. . The bathroom needs a good upgrade. Water all over the floor. upon showering. I requested an extra towel to dry the floor but instead was given another room not for handicap. The lady was very nice & accomodating.

Hotel is older but it is ok -never a issue

this is an affordable property, always clean and the staff is always super nice
- 5/5
Great service, rooms very clean
- 1/5
Then the new room l've given the door handle falls off just turning the knob. When you go to open your room door the whole handle should NOT come completely off!!!! It took another hourrrr just to get the door to open. It was fixed with scotch tape... luckily we didn't get stuck inside the room because of it. Once we walked in the light went out and no replacements we given. Not to mention we specifically ordered a room with a fridge and microwave you know a suite and got stuck with one without which was an extra cost... and our dinner was cold by the time we got into the room then realized no microwave to be seen. Actually ridiculous l've stayed here multiple times and it has never been this bad. I do expect a full refund this was actually unacceptable from when we were checking in to just getting in the room we had issues.
- 2/5
Really outdated , no cell phone chargers , no vending machines for water bottles or anything. Grab and go breakfast only. Outdated but it was clean. Pictures online not accurate
- 2/5
Mold in the restroom, refrigerator was leaking, the cards to the rooms wouldn't even work most of the time to unlock the doors.
- 2/5
The hotel was very outdated, the bathroom was horrible.
- 5/5
Room great, staff attentive and friendly
- 3/5
Old rusty & noisy at night time. Walls are not that thin. Super small tv. Dirty couches. Lights not turning on/off.
- 3/5
Old and outdated
- 2/5
Room was dirty, outdated and they charged me twice at check in. Will not recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever stay here again.
- 3/5
On the positive side, the staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
Rooms are tiny and bed has bed bugs. I would not recommend.
- 5/5
Yes it did
- 1/5
The bathroom inside our room was filthy with mold on the ceiling. The desk in our room had huge cracks that could cut if you snagged against it.
- 1/5
I already reviewed this hotel. I’m not doing it again.
- 2/5
Room was in poor condition. Hair dryer didn't work, vanity broken and shifted so that toilet seat wouldn't stay up by itself. Sensor lights throughout that will shut off automatically if you aren't constantly moving around which is EXTREMELY annoying.
- 3/5
Cleanliness and ease of use was not we expected. The first 2 days were difficult due to staff entering into our room without permission, with a do not disrurb sign on outside of door. They tossed our stuff, pulled matresses off and left the room in shambles without our knowledge for about 2-3 hours while we were eating breakfast in their Kitchen!
- 1/5
was dirty and smelled moldy
- 4/5
Staff was good
- 5/5
Nice clean Room, Free parking....
- 4/5
Air conditioner was not working Didn’t like whole walls with mirrors, especially now a days safety concerns about hidden cameras especially since we had our grandchildren
- 5/5
Clea room friendly staff they serve breakfast which they had a good different options available
- 1/5
Front desk older lady was super rude
- 4/5
Lovely little room. could use a facelift with some of the items in the room and a couple more pillows but cozy. The lady who was yelling at her husband on 3rd floor about how he was being mean. Thanks for making that the hallways drama too.
- 5/5
I stay here when I’m working in the area on the way from home. The staff is very friendly. People are really nice. I will definitely be back.
- 5/5
The staff is always friendly when I stay here. This location is a great place for me to stay at when I am working away from home.
- 4/5
Not that much parking that day
- 3/5
Our room was nothing special , smelled of cigarettes . We opened the window to air it out and there was no screen and a dead fly on the glass . Couches were stained . Bed was hard . Neighbors were noisy
- 5/5
The extra security lock was missing on our door. Other than that everything was good. Had coffee and food options in the morning too.
- 2/5
Looks like foreigners bought the hotel and minimal renovations. Broken florescent lighting like a run down hospital. Toilet handle is nearly impossible to flush because the lever is under the sink. The ad made it look like a college dorm room.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 2/5
The room had a television that didn't work and had no telephone, tried to find the telephone and couldn't believe there wasn't one. I will not stay there again.
- 3/5
Needs repair, floor broken, no microwave and fridge was SMALL. Its conveniently located to the sports park and that the biggest plus
- 2/5
The breakfast was minimal, they did not have utensils for the breakfast items. When I asked the front desk for additional utensils she said we don’t have them. The room smelled of mold and the mold was visible throughout the bathroom. Would never stay here again. Only positive is location due to soccer tournament.
- 3/5
The breakfast was substandard to other hotels.
- 5/5
My stay was was excellent, breakfast was great, internet was great, bed very comfortable, staff was wonderful, 5 stars, I would be happy to stay again.
- 4/5
Room s a bit small . Need to add extra pillows. There is a stale smell when entering the room. This is our 3rd stay , we booked the 1 queen bed room, price is a bit high for the room we paid. Good breakfast choice.
- 3/5
We had a studio. It was good enough space but there was a lot of broken pieces in the room and carpet was dirty. Very thin walls
- 4/5
I liked that they had protein option at breakfast. The bed was comfortable. We were just needing a place to sleep for 2 nights while doing tourist stuff in the area. This hotel was good for that.
- 2/5
The trash cans hadn’t been emptied when I checked in. It was my first time seeing flies when walking into a hotel room.
- 4/5
It was a good stay!
- 4/5
Property in general is a little dated but good. However, the hair blower in the room doesn’t work. And at breakfast, coffee pot ran out of coffee. When I asked the staff when can the fresh pot could be made, the answer was she didn’t know, because she didn’t know how to make a new pot and was waiting for the manager to come in to do so!
- 3/5
Room was not nice or clean, pictures definitely made it seem nicer than it was
- 3/5
Front desk was friendly and fuss free but our bathroom smelled musty like mildew and mold. When I looked under the bathroom sink I saw all the mold underneath. it seems like an extensive issue as the paint was bubbled above the shower also and you can tell it’s been an issue for a while that they’ve painted over. We got there late and only spent the night otherwise I would have asked for a different room though I’m not sure it would’ve changed much. Hotel is pretty run down.
- 1/5
We checked in this afternoon (6/27/25 through 6/28/25), we were here at our Archery tournament in Gilroy for 2 days. Upon entering the room, we found several things that needed attention. 1. The desk table veneer on the front side looks like it was gnawed on it. 2. Window bench seat wood chips out in the middle (half-dollar size ) 3. Underneath the window bench on the right side is a storage space, with no door or drawers present, also exposing wire in the back, along with insulation shown. 4. Bathroom… The shampoo dispenser on the counter is not mounted on the wall. The holder must have been broken, thereby showing two holes on the wall. The shower had no stopper. The shower ceiling has what looks like black mold. Looks like they tried to paint over it. It was frightening to see it while taking a shower. This black mold was also around the shower tub on the floor. The exhaust fan is loud and just hanging from the ceiling. The Tissue box is barely hanging onto the wall. 5. The entry door is missing the interior door lock. Your hotel does not meet the standards presented on the website page. Very disappointed! Would I recommend this place to anyone? No
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 4/5
The light over the bed flickered on and off and some of outlets didn't work. Otherwise, it was a noce quiet place . Front desk was really nice
- 2/5
Overcharged because of the festival nearby which i totally understand but the room had some clear slime on the wall and couch, still dont know what it is or where it even came from, bed was comfy but thats about it. The tv on top of the dresser is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.
- 4/5
Breakfast is good. Staff are nice.
- 5/5
Nice and comfortable place.
- 5/5
Anna, the receptionist is amazing. She has a warm smile and is helpful and knowledgeable. I will stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was just what we needed for this business trip. Thank you!
- 5/5
We enjoyed the stay. We appreciate the room layout. It is cosy and feels good. Thank you.
- 5/5
The location is very convenient. There are several gyms nearby. We will definitely come back. Thank you!
- 5/5
Been here a few times now. Definitely will keep coming back when I am in the area. Staff is friendly. Safe area. Fair prices.
- 3/5
The bed was very hard. The bathroom was not as clean as it should be. Curtains in disrepair. Overall place needs an update. Will not be staying here again.
- 3/5
For the price it’s a good deal. The room was small and the TV was tiny and up high. But everything worked as it should, beds were comfy enough and for the money, it was worth it.
- 4/5
Di not Like: The light switches were annoying and the bathroom lights were not able to turn on without the fan being on first.
- 4/5
Great and convenient for soccer tournaments.
- 5/5
Staff is wonderful. The property and parking is good. I just wish the sitting chair was not a basic office chair and more comfortable. Will stay again.
- 3/5
the room smelled dirty and damp
- 3/5
made the mistake of reserving an accessible room. our mistake but it was terrible - no counter at bathroom sink, etc. so be careful when you do this. would be nice if desk clerk would verify upon arrival when 2 very able bodied women walk in.
- 1/5
The electric system is all outdated. Their lights were flickering and not working. The mirror behind the beds was broken, safety issue with little kids. Not enough toiletry. Had only shampoo and hand/body wash next to outside of shower nothing inside shower and nothing at the sink. No microwave or fridge.
- 5/5
Our stay was good. The staff was super friendly. Check in/check out was very seamless. The location was in very close proximity to my son's soccer tournament. I would stay again.
- 4/5
Convenient to Morgan Hill soccer complex and downtown
- 5/5
Efficiency is great!
- 5/5

Years ago, we stayed here when we were displaced from our campgrounds due to floods. All other hotels had raised their rates and Microtel was the only one who made us feel welcome and really helped us out. This is the only place we will stay in the area!
- 3/5
Overall the property booked tired, old and rundown .location was fine
- 5/5
It was cosy and clean.
- 4/5
It was an interesting spot. Great place to stay for a single individual lol
- 5/5
It was clean and we were able to check in early. Great customer service. Yohanna was very helpful.
- 2/5
The receptionist refused to check me in and give me my room key until I forked over $50 in cash
- 5/5
The room layout was very nice! It was cozy and com.
- 4/5
Esta todo muy bien el personal que atiende muy bien las camas muy limpias todo limpio lo único que no se mira bien q todo son cosas muy viejitas la alfombra muy vieja huele un poquito mal pero es por lo mismo de muy vieja talvez
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Quiet and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and really helpful. I was very pleased.Great job😊😊
- 3/5
The beds and pillows are uncomfortable. The room was small and outdated. I guess thats why it is called Microtel.. Breakfast was decent.
- 1/5
The room was ok but the bed was absolutely HORRIBLE!! The mattress was so uncomfortable and hard. It was like sleeping on the floor. When I tried calling the lobby the phone in my room did NOT work. I let the front desk know when I checked out. I would never stay there again very unsatisfied
- 3/5
We got in a little before 6pm after being on the road almost 12 hrs. 1st room we were given, the bathroom sinks drain plug wouldn’t lift so they moved us. When we get to the door, the passkey wouldnt, had to get a new one. We finally make it in & the room looks decent. The carpet looked like its seen better days though & the room/bathroom could use a fresh coat of paint, but thats getting picky. We went back downstairs to get our bags & the carts they had were very difficult to use. I checked the bed, no bugs thankfully. Sheets & bed were comfortable to sleep in, always a plus. One thing I absolutely could have done without is the constant smell of Marijuana. When we arrived the pregnant front desk girl was by the front door talking to a man that I’m positive was smoking weed. We passed by & it was strong then the elevator reeked of it. Breakfast was ok I guess. Frozen items like waffles, breakfast burritos & breakfast sandwiches. They also had a couple cereals, bagels & packaged muffins along with coffee, tea & juices. They do have to invest on bigger plates. Hard to cut waffles on a plate with the same size. It wasn’t the healthiest, but we were there for 5 days so it saved us some money. I did miss the fact that the rooms didnt have a refrigerator or microwave but thats my fault. We were on the 3rd floor, it was a pain to use the microwave in the lobby. Due to that & the constant marijuana smell, we might not chose their property next time.
- 5/5
Staff is awesome
- 4/5
Basic room that was clean. Beds were a little hard but I wasnt expecting the Marriott ;) fan in bathrrom didnt work, but I had a room on the 3rd fllor so I was able to keep the window open which I love being able to have fresh air anyways. Had a nice view of Mt. Hamilton. Staff was very nice and attentive.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Staff is amazing! Thank you again Valerie
- 3/5
Needs furniture upgrade . Manager changed rooms for me But customers next door loud and arguing People smoking pot at front entrance outside
- 4/5
Bit off the downtown.
- 3/5
I would say it would be better if construction vehicles could park in back instead of front where parking stalls are tight and made for compact vehicles . I got my door dinged . On my new car .
- 2/5
My room was hot and humid I put on the AC then it was freezing. I didn’t feel safe with a whole wall for a mirror and the window screen was not in places “looked like it was popped off or something
- 3/5
the customer service is below average. very small rooms. And options for breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice room and facility. Cost was reasonable. Staff was nice.
- 3/5
Thankfully it didn’t get cold that night lol. I didn’t try to switch rooms, because I was unsure if they had other rooms. Ann’s honestly Scared the next room might be worse idk. The first time I had no issues:). I might try them again. and or looked highly used. I have stayed here twice. Affordable, nice staff,
- 4/5
Room has what I needed. Room was a bit noisy due to 101 and bed is a bit hard.
- 3/5
Apparently you have to ask to have your room cleaned which I did but they never responded. I stayed there for four nights and the room wasnt cleaned a single time. I had to take my own trash out and I had to request clean sheets and make the bed myself. Staff was rude and uninterested in helping guests.
- 5/5
Overnighter. Furniture and TV need updating.
- 5/5
It was ok only thing when the breakfast happened there was a kid that kept touching all the utensils and plates.
- 3/5
Other issues
- 5/5
Easy to get to. There is some noise from the nearby highway.
- 2/5
This property was everything you would expect for a cheap hotel/motel. A strange smell in the room that never seemed to go away. Damp carpets in the room, and inexplicable barking dogs and mewing cats in the room adjacent to our room. Trash in the parking lot not cleaned up for days.
- 2/5
The room was cold even with thermostat turned all the way up in January. The breakfast was cold cerial, packaged muffins, and toaster waffels.
- 5/5
Room
- 4/5
Clean , nice staff
- 5/5
I stay in hotels motels 46 weeks a year, this is one of the best in the price range.
- 5/5
I like it for be my first time , I would go back
- 3/5
Unfriendly staff
- 4/5
Room was clean and fairly quiet. My room neighbors did not make much noise. If I opened the window, the noise from 101 was loud and hard to hear the TV. Breakfast was fair and the coffee was pretty good. Staff was nice and considerate. I'd would stay there again.
- 5/5
I’ve been at this hotel multiple times and every-time I go the rooms are always so clean ! Desk staff are always helpful. The only complaint are how the walls are thin so you can sometimes hear the next door neighbors
- 5/5
We liked clean room
- 5/5
Will not stay at this Microtel again. Friendly, helpful staff. However, needs basic, routine cleaning, maintenance and resupply of provided amenities. Visible stains & residue on furniture. Lights in room not working. Had to ask twice for second roll of toilet paper-checked in with less than 1/4 of a roll for 3 days. There are more options in town at the same price-will stay there next trip.
- 5/5
Freeway is noisy
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Staff on site very responsive and very nice
- 4/5
I stayed in a room where the main door does not close properly. The other rooms conversation could be heard
