Close to everything and staff was incredibly friendly. Rooms are seriously outdated and carpet is very sticky with the smell of cigarettes everywhere you go. Breakfast was eggo waffles that had been thawing out in the display case since 6am and cereal, bagels/bread or fruit. Really needs upgrades.

The staff were so helpful in showing me how to get to my room. The room was pretty clean, and I even found and cleaned up a small mishap. But overall, it wasn’t a great experience.

The TV was old and little and the bed made my back feel broken when I woke up. The cockroaches wasnt a nice touch either and the laundry facilities were closed the whole time we were there. For what they charge per night they should put some money back into the hotel. It's extremely outdated it's like we stepped back in to 1970

The room was clean. We left too early for breakfast. Parking seemed safe and was well lit. The air conditioner was nice and cold. Some things could be updated but it was our one night stop over on our way north.

Its was okay the experience was ok there was some pros and cons but i would say if you want somewhere to stay cheaper then most breakfast should have been better though .

Hotel was filthy and there was a strong odor of mildew everywhere. It rained during my stay and the stairs to my room were flooded due to a roof leak

The rooms were large, and there was an oven in the room, not just a stove top like a lot of places. The location of the property is pretty awesome as it’s close to everything. The wifi was pretty decent. The staff - with the exception of the lady who checked us in, seemed to be very friendly and honest. The Roku TV, though small, in the room with the king sized bed, was very nice to have. The bed was pretty comfortable also, so I didn’t wake up hurting as I often do when we stay away from home. Our room(s) were on the first floor, so that was nice also. The plumbing seemed pretty well maintained. The ice machine always had ice. There was plenty of space for our dogs and us. There was a nice area for us to walk our dogs. The pet fee was more than reasonable. What really struck me was how well the owner (at least I am assuming he was the owner) treated me. I felt very welcome around him, and very appreciated. I cannot stress enough how important this factor is because THIS is what brings people back even more than anything else will! The rooms weren’t the cleanest. The carpet was sticky and there were cobwebs. There was a musty smell to both of the rooms we had (family suite is actually 2 adjoining rooms) and one of the doors to the outside didn’t actually lock even though there was a key card lock on it, so it wasn’t all the way secure. The lady who checked us in, charged me $170+ extra for no reason, stating the owner had told her to do so. He hadn’t, and I knew that because I’d heard what he’d told her with my own ears. Luckily the rest of the staff, including the owner, had integrity, and a refund for that money was put in without my asking for it. The microwave in the king bed room did not have a plate in it. The oven kept turning off while we were trying to use it. There was a hole in the seal where the a/c unit was, where you could see outside. The pool wasn’t open.

The staff was very accommodating and helpful anytime called upon! The halls smelled musty or like smoke and urine in some places. But the rooms were equipped with everything we needed and the bed was comfortable.

Absolutely disgusting room. Bed was stained. The floor was sticky and felt like it hadnt been cleaned in years. Had to wear shoes the whole time. The hallways all smelled like sewage.

The service was alright, once we got switched to another room, later at night we noticed there were some roaches in the room 131 and the toilet was not flushing accurately. We could not stay in a room that had roaches crawling from ever corner of the room.

The restaurant around front was nice, but that was about it. Everything looked to be not updated since the 80s and had a yellow cigarette look smell about it. Also didn’t stay the 2nd night and stay haven’t received a refund . I would never go back and warn my friends to not go there

I was pretty concerned on my arrival. The place looked pretty bad, inside and out. Swimming pool is a sludge pit. But the desk clerks were very kind, and as soon as I hit that bed, I was very comfortable.

Front desk lady when we checked in at 5/6p was AMAZING and SOOO friendly!! The place as a whole is pretty good. The only complaint I have is the breakfast…the ONLY breakfast they had was bagels, white bread, pre made waffles and muffins in ziploc bags. They had cereal and coffee and that was it for the “deluxe” breakfast.

Hair dryer didn’t work remote to the TV didn’t work rented room for 2 nights 2nd night cards wouldn’t work to let us enter the room had to wait from someone from front desk to come let us in. While we were gone from the room from 5:30am until 8:00pm room wasn’t cleaned had no clean towels or wash clothes for next night 😡

It is an average budget motel. If you're not going to be in your room alot, then for the money it's ok. It's dated, but I didn't have any signs of bedbugs or overly dirty areas. The toilet in the room needed to be tightened back down because it was loosening, but other than that, it was ok. It is right beside the interstate, so you can hear noise. If you're a hard sleeper, it probably won't bother you though. There is a decent Mexican restaurant attached to it, so that was a plus.

Doing their best with a very dated building. It was clean and spacious. We had a disabled access room. The shower floor was very slippery. The 'Breakfast" was unacceptable.

Worst hotel ive ever been at. Everything needs an update. The lighting in rooms is Awful. There were stains on everything. Even non smploking smelled like smoke. ZERO water pressure. Pool was closed. No info that pets cost extra on website listing. "Free Breakfast" was just muffins and apples and coffee. Hated every second being there. Worst part of outlr vacation. The entire place needs to be rebuilt. Staff seemed okay but disconnected. Even though Everything looked filthy it was relatively clean just all stained. I wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone. Seriously. do not waste your time.

Great place for great price

No me gusto para nada ese hotel yo no entiendo porque aún está en función debería demolerlo ,esta muy sucio todo alfombra,cortinas,las sábanas se miraban que no las habían lavado ,el cuarto apestoso lleno de cucarachas. Yo hice una reservación pero no leí comentarios ni presté tanta atención porque estaba muy cansada apenas y vi unas fotos del hotel no es nada de lo que ponen en fotos solo entre al cuarto y salí corriendo de ese lugar mi familia estaba asustada nunca habíamos entrado a un lugar como ese hotel.

Woke up to a bed bug crawling on me

My boyfriend and I just needed a relatively inexpensive place that was clean for a night so we could go to a graduation. And that’s exactly what it was. I would definitely stay again if we just needed a place for one or two nights. It was pretty inexpensive, we had a king, and everything was pretty clean.

The hallway outside my room had a horrible smell in the carpet. The smell ultimately came under the door.

While the cleanliness and safety of this property could definitely be improved, this was still a pretty solid stay. The front desk staff were all very kind and helpful, but I would not recommend staying here as a solo female traveler.

For an older motel... I was impressed! The staff was super pleasant and attentive and they responded to my request for extra pillows quite promotly. The rooms are huge, the king bed is a cali-king and exceptionally comfortable. The linens were clean & fresh and the towels were soft. The property could use some TLC and a bit of updating including new TV that you can stream movies to from your phone. But, for the overall price, I would definitely stay here again!

Partially renovated hotel. We chose this hotel as it was reasonably priced and advertised breakfast. The rooms have been partially renovated, they are adequate. Breakfast was sparse, at best. no coffee, no tea, no cereal, just some toast, bagels they dug out, no fruit, they found some frozen waffles....we checked out a day early and continued our trip. Will not stay here again.

Don’t stay here. I ended up checking out a day earlier because they have a roach problem. The rooms are old and stinky. Spider webs were on the side of the bed. Just overall HORRIBLE. Don’t stay here!!!

The building was poorly illuminated, inside and out. The lobby was locked so you could not access the rest of the hotel through it, only by going outside and through the poorly lit grounds to one of the doors with hallway access. The hallways were filthy and smelled of bodily waste. When we opened the door to our room it smelled worse inside than in the hallways. The bathroom had NO LINENS, NO TOILET PAPER, or other toiletries. The beds were not freshly made and when my wife opened the fridge it reeked of something otherworldly and a HUGE MOUSE ran from behind it to the cabinet/dresser. I requested another room. The front desk lady obliged and apologized. The next room was down another connecting hallway and was promising. When we opened the door it smelled fresh and clean inside. The bathroom was stocked thoroughly and the beds were turned down correctly. The inside of the fridge was clean and smelled as such. So, thinking we were comfy for the night I made a food run, came back and we sat on the beds to eat. MISTAKE! Cockroaches ran across the bed I was sitting on towards my food! We immediately threw all the food away and search the floors along the baseboards and found A LOT of dead cockroaches. There were even live ones under the mattress when I lifted it! We packed our bags and loaded the car and the nice lady gave me a refund. STAY AWAY

There was a plug in that needed to be replaced and hole where the plug in was. The bath tub needs replaced as you lean on the back and there is a loose sound. The sink was cracked. Signs of mold in bath room and the bed area the top of ceiling painted over. There was mold under paint. Will not stay there again. The seem in the room was terrible.

Select Inn has been around the block but there is something nice about it - it’s attached to a wonderful Mexican restaurant, has nice hallways (musty, but cool) and a huge pool (not working when we arrived). We will stay there again, in spite of having to request a second room because the first one smelled so musty. The furnishings were really nice and old fashioned feeling, and the place was spotless. It was old but had character, and everyone was nice. Breakfast ok. Super quiet.

There were people carrying in grocery carts of garbage. Big dogs with them. Huge sores all over their body. It didn’t matter that I asked for a None smoking room because the whole hall way smelled like a bar. My shoes stuck to the carpet and bathroom floor. Their was a smell of mold so strong. It was the nastiest place I’ve ever stayed.

The front desk staff Carl was amazing! The hotel is older but nice for the price! Building was safe. Can not get in without room key! I took this trip with just my kids and myself and we enjoyed ourselves! The pool is large and nice!

It is suppose to be non smoking, the first room smelt so bad from smoke, I switched rooms, that was ok but the bathroom had black mold in it, falling apart, the ceiling was coming apart, just a nasty place. the whole hall smelt of smoke, and they said I was the first person to complain. You could smell spoke all the way in the hall and rooms.

The rooms smelled awful. The carpets were sticky. There was black spots on the chairs. The curtains had rips in them. The overall look of the place seemed run down. Only one lock on the door. Remote to small tv didn’t have a back, had to be careful not to lose batterie. Will NEVER stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

I like convenient from high way but too much traffic and noises

My room at the Select Inn was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and engaging as well. Despite the events going on for the holiday weekend the rate was very reasonable and I'll definitely stay here again if I visit Murfreesboro.

Bugs everywhere , barely any lighting, floor dirty we and it felt so uncomfortable. We didn’t even wanna shower , use the bathroom, nor go to sleep it was disgusting .

Staff was great but the room smelled of stale smoke. Half of the outlets didn’t work and the carpet and all the linens felt moist. Dead cockroaches and I saw 6 live cockroaches. Fruit flies.

Very close to many places we needed to get too

When we arrived, they did not have a room for us. They had blocked rooms that were under construction but failed to update the websites to prevent rooms from being booked. They made an arrangement with a nearby motel for us to have a room there but it was totally unacceptable. We had to find another hotel and had to pay over $400 a night because all of the hotels were charging quadruple their normal rates and booked due to a Taylor Swift concert the same weekend. What a horrible experience-finding out all of this the moment of check in after traveling all day. The management of this hotel is at fault. I would not recommend this property for any reason.

First thing you notice when entering the hall was the horrible smell. The room itself smelled bad although it wasn't as bad as the hallway. The room was dirty. You could see on the counter that the sink had not been cleaned. There was also debris in the bottom of the shower. The toilet had been used and flushed, but there were "remnants" which showed they hadn't cleaned it. The carpet was horribly stained and there was old broken furniture all lined up down the hallway. I slept in my jacket because I refused to use the blanket on the bed as obviously it wouldn't have been washed either. Staff at the front was friendly and that is the only good thing I can say about this stay.

Outside of room going up stairs smelled like filth, old cigarettes, and things I can’t even describe. Got up to room and the floor and carpet were super sticky and the room smelled like old cigarettes even though we had to sign a form saying we wouldn’t smoke or have dogs. Looks as if to me there are some people living in the hotel? I’m not sure. We were in the second building but the first building did not seem to smell like that when I walked up to the front desk. Just not clean at all. Would not stay there again if my life depended on it. Think it’s the worst hotel I have ever stayed in as far as upkeep and cleanliness. Staff was exceptionally nice.

They put me on the second floor, I’m an old man with a dog so not ideal. TV shut off and then came back on frequently. Otherwise it was okay.

As soon as i went into the room, there was a light that was not completely working. It turned on, but was a very dim florescent bulb. It was the one over the microwave. Ok. Fine. I stayed for 3 nights. The bulb in one of the lamps went out, the tv signal went out, there was no housekeeping to come with towels, or to pick up trash. Ok, fine... when i came in and sat at the desk and got ready to lay things out, I had to clean the dirt off the desk before i layed my things on it. And i ignored the gratuity envelope the whole stay. I would have left something, if anyone had done anything. The people at the front desk couldn't even be bothered to bring up a lightbulb to replace the one in the lamp, after they told me that someone would bring one up to replace it. I couldn't charge my phone next to the bed because there were no outlets. And the tv was plugged into a strip that looked like it had been on fire. Not safe, not clean, and will never waste my money here again. Don't bother with this place, ever. And the plug that had the fridge plugged in at, also had the microwave plugged into it, and the plug had been tripped, so wasn't working. The whole place was probably a firetrap. I will never be staying here again. I had never stayed at such a horrible place.
