Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and convenient location. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated facilities, lack of cleanliness in some areas, and issues with room amenities such as broken fixtures and faulty air conditioning. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with additional charges for parking and the quality of breakfast provided.

The staff were excellent, kind and helpful. The only complaint is we didn’t have any hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. We had our room cleaned and I mentioned it but it never got filled!
- 4/5
Would have been better with a microwave. Parking was over 40 dollars a day with tax.

Excessive pay for parking.
- 2.5/5
The hotel needs updating. The paint is peeling off the ceiling and it feels old. Paying almost 50 bucks to park after paying over 200 for one night was too much. Embassy Suites has free parking and open bar for an hour each evening. Then, not having a microwave was inconvenient.
- 2.5/5
Walkable to attractions and close to the Hop On/Hop Off trolly stop (#3). Good Italian restaurant across the street. Nice common area, which is where we spent most of our time instead of inside the rooms. Room was dated, carpet didn't seem clean, dirty windows, broken window shade, stains in the bathroom. Not what I expect from a Hilton/Hampton property. Price was also exceptionally high, but that was probably due to CMA festival in town while we were there.
- 5/5
A last minute, quick trip that was very pleasant! The free breakfast was so good, the location is excellent, parking lot was plenty of space. The staff was SO kind and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

Nice hotel. Great location to be close to downtown but not in all of the craziness. Great staff. Would stay here again.

Not once did our room get freshen up. We were there for 4 days not once did our garbage get taken out, our bathroom towels did not get changed or did we get coffee in our room.

Great Staff, super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was easygoing and changed it up slightly daily.

Breakfast was exellent Parking fee is a joke
- 3/5
The parking was $87.50 to park in their lot for 2 nights. Ridiculous. I used my credit card and this was the only purchase I had in Nashville on my card and after using it to pay for the parking, my card was hacked and I had to call to have my card stopped. Great for vacation, right? Wow experience and not a good wow!!!
- 4/5
The bottom of the bathtub was gritty and worn and needs replaced. Would not recommend little kids who need baths stay here.
- 3/5
The hotel is old and not very clean. They need to redecorate. Stains in the bathroom, on the walls and carpet old. The staff when checking in were not helpful or friendly. No urgency just taking their time doing other stuff rather than checking in guests. Elevators dirty. Combination of poor to ok ratings due to poor check in and overall condition. Hotel over priced for the condition.
- 2/5
Whole place needs to be remodeled
- 4/5
Rooms were a bit dated. Several bathroom fixtures were coming off the wall. Neds were comfortable and room clean
- 3/5
The hotel was decent. Staff were friendly. Great location for walking and driving to different parts of Nashville.
- 5/5
Musty smell in the room. Front desk staff acting like you were a bother when trying to check in and when asking questions.
- 3/5
Chose to pay at property instead of up front online. Check in time of 3pm and the property charged as a cancellation fee of the first nights stay after just an hour and a half past 3pm which seemed odd to me. Upon arriving, the staff was very polite though and assured me I could still continue with my full reservation and I did. Very nice breakfasts: small self serve buffet with hot food items varying daily, waffle making station and various juices/coffee to choose from. It should be noted that you do have to pay to park in the parking lot even if you’re a guest of the hotel, a 2 night stay was a little over $84 after taxes which was rather surprising. Overall: Would recommend, would stay again.
- 4.5/5
Great location, close to downtown, restaurants across the street & within walking distance, breakfast buffet was great! Parking was $35.00/daily.

1st Hampton Inn I've stayed where you had to pay to park!
- 4/5
This hotel in downtown Nashville is convenient and the manager/staff seem to be running it in a manner commensurate with all Hampton Inn standards. One thing that ought to change is the exorbitant charge for parking. Free on-site parking is not available and the Hampton Inn guests are charged $42.00 (tax included) to park. This is a ridiculous charge. If I had seen this charge before booking, I would not have booked this hotel.

Checking was a little slow but the staff was nice. Then I realized that we had to PAY for parking!!! I have stayed at Hampton all over the country and NEVER been charged for parking! Then we walk to our room, room #141. We walk all the way around the corner to the end and realize our room is not there. We have somebody in our room is on the ground floor. So now we have to go down a level. When we finally entered our room it had a very unpleasant smell. signage posted in this hotel is ridiculous. points to ice and vending. It neglected to tell you that it’s only on the second and fifth floor. well, we finally got to the ice and vending room… Scratch that… The ICE room. There are no vending machines here whatsoever! The drawer in the nightstand next to the bed won’t stay closed on its own. The shower head is too low and the shower drain (and sink drain) is very slow. The water at the water filling station tastes horrible and a strong taste of chlorine as well There is no full length mirror in the room Housekeeping only refreshes every other day. I would rate this among worst Hamptons I’ve ever stayed in.

Room was in serious disrepair.

The next day, walked past housekeeping carts at 3:00 pm to our room. There were no housekeeping services provided to our room, no new towels. Phoned the front desk, then went down to the front desk to ask for fresh towels. Was told they don’t service rooms daily - just every other day. We were not told that. Asked for confirmation that our bill showed a credit for the night before. They told us yes. Asked if they would take towels to our room as we were leaving for an evening event. They said yes. We returned to the room at 11:00 pm, no fresh towels in our room. One of us went down to the desk to get towels. When checking out this morning, the room credit was not on our bill. The clerk asked why we were to get a credit. I asked for the manager’s name, she says Paul, but didn’t know his last name despite his business cards sitting in the desk. Horrible lazy customer service. 👎

Staff was fine but room was falling apart. Mirror in bathroom had frame falling off, mold or mildew in corner behind toilet, every towel rack tryingto fall off of wall. The toilet itself was loose on the floor. Air Conditioner has bright blinking LED lights that are on nonstop. Worst room I have stayed in for years.

The breakfast area is on a lower level instead of adjacent to the lobby. I was put in a room on the hallway off of the breakfast area and it was ridiculously loud for hours every day. Do not stay here unless you can guarantee a room on an upper floor.

Staff was very, very nice. The room was very clean. However, the toilet ran day at night and the staff was not able to fix it. Also, the toilet leaked underneath to the floor.
- 2.5/5
The staff were friendly Especially Harold at the front desk Lack of food choices Only toast for Vegans Bodged repairs in the room patches of filler painted in an off white colour Bathroom sealant applied round the bath, toilet very badly Sealant was the only thing holding the toilet in place
- 5/5
Breakfast was good You have to pay for parking by scanning bar code. Guy at desk helped me and said we would not have to pay cause we had a doctors appointment
- 4/5
The breakfast menu was simple and traditional. A good bite if you don’t want to go out to breakfast. The staff was super nice, helpful, and friendly. I personally didn’t care for the fact that you have to pay for parking ($84 for 2 nights) especially being a guest. I don’t know if that’s the hotel policy or Nashvilles but either way I think it’s ridiculous. Out of all my travels I’ve never had to pay parking for being a guest.
- 5/5
Included breakfast was great. Plenty of options and fresh food. Rooms were adequate and clean. This hotel could use some updating/refreshing ie bathtubs look a little grungy. But for the price and our needs it was entirely adequate.

The property was clean and nice. The staff was nice as well. Very friendly. I booked this property in hopes of using the pool, which the website for booking said the pool was open. Once checked in and in the room, then i was informed the pool would not open until may. Disappointed in the pool situation but all else was good.
- 5/5
Clean room with a very decent breakfast buffet. Enjoyed our staay.

Carpet smells moldy. Broken lamp shade. Defective chair with sharp metal piece, causing an injury. Bug crawling in the rink. Worst of all - Rude and non-professional staff at the front desk and a very unprofessional hotel manager. Either extremely poor communication amongst the staff or flat out lies were being told. The hotel doesn't have first aid supplies. When the injury happened, the front desk staff did not show any compassion. I was told to write an email to the manager to report the injury. I did but received no response. I followed up multiple times, kept being told the manger wasn't around and they would reply to my email. When I said I would like to speak to the manager about the staff's poor attitude, she became angry and quarreled with me. After the argument, the manager suddenly became available only to berate me and accuse me of belittling his employee and told me they did everything right, I could leave if not satisfied and would not let me speak. They did at the end provide some refund to compensate for the injury. But only after my multiple follow-ups. The unprofessionalism and the disrespect they demonstrated is beyond me. It was a big mistake to have booked this hotel and I will never there again. Stay away if you can!

The staff was amazing...room was clean and comfortable...bed was amazing..didn't want to get up
- 2.5/5
It is very close to Midtown only a 5 Minute walk with some great bars that are more local. Although it is on broadway it is the other end so it is about a 35 minute walk to the main bars and an 8 minute uber.

Really nice stuff and support during our stay

Breakfasr was fresh with reasonable options. Parking was fine. The room showed notable wear and tear. The floor and carpet were sticky. One of the 2 elevators was not working and the other one was slow; had to take stairs repeatedly. Rooms were dark.

This hotel needs some maintenance and renovation. It is not up to what I thought to be Hilton standards. Wallpaper peeling off, broken and cracked tiles, elevator out of service for 3 days, toilet handle installed backwards, walls worn where the maid carts scrape, stained and missing grout in the shower, loose electrical outlet are examples. Breakfast was fine, bed was good, and the staff was friendly.
- 2/5
Expensive parking, tight parking, old hotel, AC didnt work, TV didnt work.
- 3/5
This was a rough stay but still somehow triple what I typically pay for a hotel stay.. Obviously the location was fine but having to pay for parking in the hotel parking lot is ridiculous. The bed was uncomfortable, the shower pressure was weak, the floor felt dirty, and the AC was absolute garbage. Not sure how we were sweating when it was 50 degrees outside. I did let the hotel staff know, and I couldn’t tell that anything was fixed. Also, we didn’t get any fresh towels or a trash refresh while we were there. This was gross and frustrating. The hotel description says “buffet breakfast” and then offered the exact same type of breakfast as every other hotel… Very disappointing with the misleading terms. The elevator was dangerous and extremely slow… It was the worst part of the entire trip. I wouldn’t dare stay here again.

The location It was dirty. There was food on the carpet in the hallways that stayed there for our entire visit. There were stains on the lamp and ceiling that looked like blood. We were not told that there would be another charge for parking until it was too late to cancel.

The location The fact that it said you did NOT have to pre book parking but you in fact do. Then it says parking is $35 a night but with taxes it comes up to about $50. The ac in my room did not work and there was no microwave. Given the amount that I paid I think this is ridiculous and the least they do is provide you with a microwave and working air if you’re paying 200+ a night. The parking is definitely a money grab and in my eyes unnecessary given the rate you’re paying for the room. They were very unorganized at the front desk and took a minute to service me when I arrived after driving for 8 hrs. I booked this room bc it seemed like the cheapest option but next time I will spend a little more for better quality.

Bugs in the tub. Water would not drain in the tub so you’re showering in dirty bath water. Room smelled horrible. Paint was chipping off the walls and ceilings. Two of the three rooms in our group had broken air conditioning. Staff was short and rude. We had to leave and stay somewhere else after 1 night.
- 2/5

This was a quick trip. But it great
- 5/5
The toilet did have a leak, but we weren't in the room much so it didn't affect our stay.
- 4/5
The staff were very nice, the breakfast was great. We were surprised by the high parking fee, however, it was $240 and we stayed 3 nights- so just be aware while you are comparing prices! The parking is technically run by a downtown service called “park happy” so the hotel doesn’t technically have to claim that as a fee. To be fair, park happy seems to be monitoring the parking all over most of the area,
- 3/5
The facility was clean and the staff was very professional. The hotel needs some renovation and updating. New carpet throughout wold make a vast improvement.
- 4/5
Inn property? No. It could use some updates
- 2/5
No one mentioned that i needed to pay for parking! Got a ticket. Really, never heard of anyone having to pay for parking at the hotel you staying. But ok you do..... you should really make sure your guest know this. Sad part is i was going to become a frequent customer (chemo treatments at the hospital) but i guess i will have to find somewhere else
- 3/5
The staff was excellent but the room the carpets wasn't clean and bath needs to be replaced it wouldn't drain good. It painted coming out of the bottom of it. The toilet didn't flush.
- 3/5
It was ok for the night. Do be like that the down stairs smelled like smoke and it was $42 to work for 1 day. Also there is a ventilation in the bathroom so ceiling has mold
- 1/5
To make things even worse, housekeeping started vacuuming at 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday—right when people are trying to rest. The A/C barely worked, so the room was uncomfortable on top of everything else. Between the nonstop noise, early-morning disruptions, and broken air conditioning, this place was a complete nightmare. Easily one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. Definitely not coming back.
- 5/5
yes it was and the staff was really polite and we will stay again.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms, and a decent gym for a hotel
- 5/5
Clean hotel Only downside is paying $40 for parking seems high
- 5/5
Staff was great, helpful and friendly. Clean too.
- 2/5
Room was missing window privacy blind. Reported the issue to the front desk but the only offered solution was changing rooms rather than repair. Changing rooms was unfortunately not an option due to previously scheduled event timelines. Bathroom tissues were empty. Tub was grimy. HVAC thermostat was inop. Elevator tile was cracked and broken. And daily parking cost was OMG! We will not return.
- 4/5
Location is great. Hotel is decent but the king bed had the tiniest pillows I’ve ever seen!
- 1/5
Homeless drug person on back steps by pool, check in person was high as a kite and very rude! What a disgusting place! Never again in a Hampton inn!
- 2/5
This hotel needs a lot of upgrades. I did not feel comfortable staying here. My issues were not resolved.
- 3/5
The room was clean. Wall mirror was missing and the hotel was dated. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The room and staff were excellent. I would recommended Hampton Inn Vanderbilt to anyone. Sorry I did not eat breakfast.
- 4/5

- 5/5
The front desk staff was incredibly kind and gave great suggestions for things to do! The only complaint noted was the house keeping staff on the last day of my stay. It was noted that they were upset we hadn’t checked out yet, at approximately 10:30am and checkout is 12:00pm. Staff was then playing music on a speaker in the hallway and complaining that the room was not yet empty. Overall, the location of this hotel is great!
- 3/5
Needs updated, should be embarrassed if the condition of the bath tub. Nasty feeling.
- 4/5
The Hotel does not own their parking lot. Add $50 to the room price if you stay here.
- 5/5
everything was great

The front desk employee Harold was very sweet and informative about places to try!
- 3/5
You could feel the metal through the mattress
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly. The room was good beds were comfortable. The only complaint that I have was the walls were paper thin. We could hear every conversation that the room next to us was having and they were talking at an average volume.
- 4/5
The hotel was a little old, but it fit our needs.
- 1/5
Booked and paid for 3 nights. Hotel staff said i was only nooked for 2 nights even after showing my receipt for 3 paid nights they made us check out and ended our trip a day early.
- 4/5
I've stayed there three times it's super handy to the freeway and to the Broadway music/downtown area. The staff is super nice. The the condition of the hotel is looking a little worn in a few spots. We'd still stay there again though.

Very friendly staff. Good Breakfast. Room was confortable
- 2/5
Eliminate parking fees for customers with reservations.
- 2/5
Elevator sounded like it was about to fall! It jumped and shook going up and down! It scared both myself and my wife! Heater cover was broken and laying on the floor when we opened the door to room 522. I have pictures. The head of maintenance came up and pushed it back into place, but it was still broken, and it fell off during our stay during the night! We were also charged $42.53 to park our car in the open-air parking lot even with our handy-cap placard. This was their own parking lot! Check the guest record. There was an almost empty parking lot! This hotel is getting ready for a refurbish next year and yet we were charged for parking?! The front desk representative was very understanding, but she said there was nothing she could do about these unfair charges. We are seeking a refund of the parking and also a discount for the less than acceptable accommodations and unsatisfactory hotel conditions. We even asked to be moved, but that was not taken seriously.
- 4/5
Staff was great! Clean room good shower. Beds and pillows were so good. Great location.
- 1/5
Check in was very unpleasant. the staff person was rude and unhelpful. After she gave us keys to our room she later had to inform us that she gave us the wrong keys and had to give us a different room. Later we discovered that upon using the QR code on the check-in counter to pay for parking, we paid for a membership in an e-book club and not for parking. She informed us that this was not her problem and we were forced to try to remedy this ourselves for the next hour. Not to mention the stress and anxiety of our card being potentially hacked. I will never stay here again or recommend this to place to anyone.
- 5/5
Staff courteous. Room was clean. Sugar cookies on arrival. Delicious breakfast.

I wish all hotels would go to ADA Toilets. Short older ones that don't flush well are terrible to deal with.

Staff was outstanding, my room was clean and comfortable. The evening check in clerk BG was very helpful professional. It is obvious the property common areas are in need of a remodel. The staff and room made my stay very nice as well as the price.

I was scared to death when some person came to the door of our room and beat on my door in the middle of the evening. He tried to come in, but it was locked. He persisted for a while and then left. I contacted the front desk to alert them and after 3 phone calls, someone answered. I asked for security to come up and was told that security would not arrive until 9, another 2 hours. My nerves were a wreck. At checkout I found out that some drunk person was staying at the hotel and was on the wrong floor when he was trying to enter the room. I've done a lot of traveling in my lifetime and this has never happened to me before. It was horrible.
- 4/5
Courteous staff. Room was dated. Decent price
- 1/5
Would not recommend staying here. Rooms were very old and gross. I had zero water pressure in my shower. There was a musty smell and a lot of leaks throughout the hotel.

Room was decent. Hotel could use updates and fixing of lots of finishes. The elevators were scary.
- 4/5
Room nice, clean, very nice shower water pressure and hot
- 3/5
Staff was nice! Room was meh but it was very much a get what you pay for experience

The car window was broken into and something was stolen out of the vehicle and the room blind was broken which made me not be able to comfortably change in the room. Staff was nice parking was super expensive i don't understand why its not included.

Great hotel in mid town. Great location and brilliant ataff
- 2/5
The water pressure was going in and out the entire time, so when it was time to shower the water kept turning off. We went to turn heat on in the room and the smoke alarm was going off, so we couldn’t use the heat when it was cold in the room. When reported to the front desk, they said that was normal. Finally, when we were about to check out someone broke into our rental car and numerous other cars. When we reported this to the hotel, they did not seem phased by it and wrote our room number down stating someone would reach out and nobody has reached out to us. Also, they told us this has been an ongoing issue, but there was no disclaimer or warning about people breaking into cars the entire stay.

This place has gone down since we stayed there a year ago. The front desk staff was not welcoming when we arrived, and directions she gave me later were incorrect. The room was incredibly noisy, especially from 2:30 to 3:30 am! It was not as clean as it could have been , and the furnishings had not been well- maintained.

- 4/5
Shower did not appear clean - there were long hairs stuck to the shower wall. Bed was not comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean room, very friendly staff who helped me when registering my car for parkimg,

This property needs a renovation. Our room was clean on the surface but when we moved a standing lamp there was mold growing on the carpet underneath.
- 3/5
The hotel is a bit rundown. The automatic door to the parking lot didn't properly work. Our room had mildew on the bathroom ceiling and in the tub. It lacks a lot of attention to detail like ripped wallpaper, stains on the walls of our room, tiles missing in the hallways, and there was a musty smell in the halls. The location is great for being near downtown and Vanderbilt.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious, very welcoming staff

Friendly people at the hotel and anywhere we went. Will do it again and stay here at this hotel
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
Toilet ran continuously even after we reported it. A/C did not keep up and nights got down right hot. Elevator, carpets and general repairs are highly needed. Staff can only clean what’s there and they are excellent. It needs updated. Very disappointed for a Hampton Inn .
- 1/5
There is literally zero water pressure in the shower. It took forever for me to get shampoo to see from my shoulder length hair. I’ll never stay at a Hampton Inn again. $233 each night and I only showered once.
- 3/5
It was your average hotel. I was shocked that I still had to pay to park in their parking lot.
- 5/5
We had a good stay. The hotel staff was always staying busy cleaning or assiting. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Hotel was clean. The area around the hotel had some questionable people hanging out but the hotel staff kept the property pretty quiet and safe.
- 2/5
Taking a shower on the 5th floor was not enjoyable. Water pressure was very bad - low. Floors in hallways and elevators stained. Having to pay $40+ to park on site was not what I expected after paying premium price for hotel room. Definitely not a plus, as well as the strong smell of marijuana on our floor and lobby. No Smoking yeah right. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast bar was the usual Hampton standard. Breakfast area was clean and well kept. Room and Hotel 2 stars - Definitely not up to Hampton standards, closer to Motel 6. Staff 4+ stars Location was good, being on Broadway easy access to everything.
- 5/5
$35@ parking PLUS $6.41 tax. 😢
- 1/5
Wanda at breakfast was one bright spot at this property
- 3/5
Harold at the front desk was spot on and informative and made checking in super easy. The room could’ve been much cleaner, specifically the bathroom. Shower looked to have not been cleaned in a couple stays, wash rags were left behind door from previous stay as well. Great location with much to do around.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.

Convenient. Good staff
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The bathroom was cery spacious and clean. The man at the front desk was very nice and professional.
- 5/5
Great place to spend time.
- 5/5
They even have us free parking because we were going to vbmc
- 1/5
Hotel itself was fine, my vehicle and multiple other vehicles were broken into even with them supposedly having “security” at night on the property.
- 2/5
Very old property, taps don’t work properly, doors don’t get locked properly. Feels very old and too over rated
- 5/5
Staff really friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Bathroom are gross, one of the lights wasn’t working, sheets were dirty, I don’t think we should’ve paid for just parking at the property, we are already paying to stay there, so I don’t understand why we have to pay to park there. I will NOT be staying at this property again.
- 1/5
I tried to cancel this reservation a week before my stay and management would not allow the cancel. I paid full price for a stay and never even stayed here. Management of hotel is not very forgiving. I would not recommend.
- 2/5
Breakfast and staff(especially Wanda and the gentleman at the front desk) were wonderful. Hotel and rooms were dirty and maintenance on the hotel was poor. Tiles falling off, mold in the shower area, etc.
- 2/5
Average, for slightly more you can stay somewhere nicer right next door.
- 2/5
The only bright spot was the lovely people who worked the breakfast. They had manners and were helpful. It would have been nice to know that parking was not included in the hotel rate. We are not from a big city and didn't realize we had to pay that separately. Again, the staff treated us like we were clueless. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 5/5
Within walking distance to great restaurants!
- 2/5
I believe this Hampton Inn is unlike any other Hampton and I have been to and stayed in. The sidewalks should be power washed on the outside because they are filthy dirty. You should be warned about the parking fee downtown in your own parking lot, which cost me $70 for two days. Which pretty much makes up for the $124 a night stay which I thought was a good deal at first. Your elevator should be air-conditioned. The condition of the floor in the air elevator was very poor and dirty and broken tiles. Oh the noise in the morning was amazing as we were near an elevator and even the wheels in the cart that carried dirty laundry squeak to so loudly. Your help should learn to not talk so loudly because some people sleep in in the morning. So, overall I gave you a very poor rating.

Breakfast was awesome for the 4 days we spent here. The gentleman at the front desk was so much fun and down to earth.
- 4/5
Close to everything I needed
- 4/5
The breakfast was good but having to pay $35 for parking was a little surprising.
- 1/5
The only reason I am even giving the 1 star is because the very kind gentleman at the front desk moved us to different rooms! He was extremely nice and understanding (this review is NOT a reflection on him) however the first thing is to park there its $41 a day!! Which was not disclosed anywhere in the booking process. Second thing, i dont know what was going on but they had huge commerical sized fans blowing down the hallways that smelles SO BAD!!! The bathrooms all had mold growing around the tub lining and the fans do not work! The bed in our room was only set on half the frame the other half was broken.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay
- 3/5
It’s an older hotel and needs some major updates. Our floor had a piece of wallpaper and trim falling off. The cleaning staff when asked if we could just have some towels for our room because we were staying another night was very rude and sighed like I was inconveniencing her.
- 5/5
Clean, good breakfast, and nice service.
- 3/5
Very outdated. Mold & mildew in the bathroom. Looked like a previous water leak in the ceiling that was peeling and moldy looking.
- 2/5
usually we go to hampton's this hotel does not get the expectations? was half of the average
- 3/5
Not as good as the pictures. Seemingly old and janky as hell.
- 5/5
Stay was good, great rate, friendly staff. Comfortable room, decent free breakfast
- 4/5
Need renovations old motel
- 4/5
In our room the fan didn't work in the bathroom so it got very steamy when taking a shower. Also the $35 a day to park was a real shock. It was explained to us why (concert goers just parking there when not staying at the hotel), but there are easier ways... give registered guests something to hang from their mirror that shows they are staying there. I'm guessing the hotel gets a cut from the parking company.
- 4/5
Nice, clean room. Older building. Friendly staff.
- 3/5
Hotel is very tired and needs updating . Breakfast is basic . Pool was not clean and only had two sun loungers for the entire hotel - one of which was broken . Rooms were very clean and staff exceptionally helpful and kind .
- 4/5
While the hotel itself is dated and smells like a bit of water damage from obviously the weather like rain and humidity, it was still clean and an over all okay place to stay for 3 nights. The staff, especially Harold were kind and informative. The pool is small but cooled us off in the hot weather. There are restaurants within walking distance and we enjoyed a nice Italian dinner right across the street at Amerigo and some live music at the row pub. For an older hotel it was pretty full for the Coldplay concert and couples travelling for anniversaries.

- 4/5
Very friendly staff. I don’t like charging me to park at your facility when I’m your guest. Ridiculous
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Room was on bottom floor which would have been great if they hadn’t had a flood so they had dryer fans all down halls. Smell was HORRIBLE from stuff being wet.
- 5/5
Clean and nice hotel. Staff was helpful
- 2/5
I had received a call the morning of our arrival asking if I was still planning to arrive. I confirmed yes. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was told that they did not have a room for us... some mix up with reservations and their online system. So we had to find our own way to another hotel that was 20 miles away. This hotel was in a small town which meant we had difficulty finding a restaurant for dinner. Then we had to waste more time the next day to go back to the original hotel. The staff then or later in the day had no idea what had happened so we had to explain to them our situation.
- 4/5
The location was decent for the price in Nashville. It was older / more dated than other Hampton Hotels I’ve stayed at. Rooms were clean when we arrived but housekeeping only comes in every other day. The breakfasts were nice to have as an option. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
- 3/5
Our room wasn't ready for check in even though we didn't arrive until 4:30 pm. Parking was $10 a day more than was advertised. The hotel looks tired and worn out.
- 3/5
$35 dollars/ day parking. CR person told us story why. We will look for other places now.
- 4/5
There is friendly staff around the whole property all the time breakfast amazing ! I stayed an extra day because of it
- 2/5
Charged extra for parking. Minimal assistance from staff. Having to go thru my bank to dispute while on vacation.
- 1/5
Hotel smelled from the moment you walked in. It was completely run down and has not been kept up in several years. Decor was completely dated. There was a hole punched in the wall. The bathroom plumbing needed servicing. There was mold in our room. You have to pay $35 a day to park. Worst hotel experience ever. Hampton should be embarrassed to have their name on the building. Checked out with in hours, could not even stand to stay.
- 4/5
Good breakfast options
- 4/5
It is walking distance to restaurants and a small grocery store. The staff at the property was friendly and helpful during both stays. The rooms were functional but could use some updating.
- 1/5
It is leaking all over on the inside so its moldy run down and smelly
- 5/5
Great and comfortable place to stay
- 3/5
Parking was advertised as free, which is why we picked this hotel. Parking ended up being $80 for our stay. This was discounted, but still ridiculous when advertised as fee.
- 2/5
For a Hampton Inn this hotel was more ran down than expected. The breakfast was subpar. The lobby and elevators were not pleasant smelling or inviting.
- 4/5
The location was great.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Thanks Harold. Very clean amazing breakfast!
- 5/5
had a great stay!
- 5/5
All is great
- 5/5
Great staff
- 2/5
Nothing and had to overpay for parking and plumbing needed help.
- 5/5
Unique floorplan, plenty of surrounding restaurants, and good price.
- 2/5
The first room I was given smelled like smoke and toilet wouldn't flush. The front desk staff gave me a different room that was better but bathroom and bathroom floor needed to be cleaned. The elevator floor had broken tiles on it. Someone could trip and get injured. The breakfast was late getting put out. Supposed to start at 6am. I had a 3 hr drive and needed to leave. At 5:58am, I asked the worker if I could have a muffin so I could get on the road. They said breakfast starts at 6am.The hotel now charges for parking which I understand that happens in larger cities but the Hampton next to Vanderbilt Hospital gets a lot of patients and family memeber staying there. I overhead one man who was checking in saying he was getting a double bypass in the morning and drove from Cleveland, OH. Why charge these people another $41/day to park. Seems insinsitive.
- 5/5
Harold has AWESOME customer service! Overall, the hotel has excellent service, ok breakfast, and great location!
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful. “Dr. Right”’at the front desk was hilarious. Unfortunately, I realized I needed to be at the other Hampton (blocks away) after I arrived. He was understanding and allowed me to check out the following morning.
- 5/5
Safe and dog friendly
- 5/5
A ways away from downtown, but that’s the price you pay for a little peace and quiet! Breakfast bar was good too.
- 5/5
everyone was nice and easy going
- 1/5
Hotel was close enough to food etc. Parking price was $35 per day. The parking lot doesnt belong to the hotel that the hotel is on. Hotel was not well maintained. It was dirty, paper coming off walls, floors and carpets were dirty and soiled. Bad smell in our room.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Check-in/out was easy enough. The woman working was very friendly and efficient. Parking was unfortunately over $40 for one night. There is a lot across the street, unsure of that price. Room was fine mostly, bathroom was not the cleanest. Did not eat continental breakfast.
- 4/5
Great area and restaurants! Hotel needs updates. Bathroom has no fan and ceiling looks gross! Can see mold and bad paint job over it.
- 2/5
Our problem was that at check in we were informed that a 3rd party (apparently) was in charge of the parking lot and that we had to pay to park despite being registered guests. The staff said that this only started a few days before our arrival and that some of them had already been ticketed. As a result, we had to pay over $100 to park for just 3 days. This was a very unwelcome surprise as we had received no notice of this new policy. With that said, we did see many of the same signs in many other lots.
- 5/5
All around very good
- 4/5
Clean hotel
- 5/5
Great! Hospitality was good by all team members working! Location was perfect. Felt safe and hotel was clean.
- 4/5
Was a nice room and very close to many restaurants.
- 5/5
Hotel needs to be refurbished, however, when prices are too expensive to stay near Broadway this hotel is a great option. Two Boots pizza is around the corner and has excellent New York style pizza.
- 5/5
The Area
- 4/5
The hotel is close to downtown. There are restaurants nearby. I have stayed there many times, but it is becoming somewhat dated. Neebertheless the price is reasonable.
- 5/5
Staff was nice!
- 5/5
We had a great time and they accommodate our early check in request. All staff were friendly
- 5/5
Room is spacious and employees are very nice
- 4/5
Overall pleasant stay. Little loud in the evening, but understandable given the holiday
- 5/5
Good location. Clean rooms
- 4/5
Was disappointed and the fact that on the website it said free parking but when we got there, we had to pay $25 to park
- 5/5
Great free breakfast selection, gym was small but worked for the 2 of us, and beds were comfy. Awesome location.
- 4/5
Most staff were very friendly. The night shift front desk staff were arguing and cursing at each other one night. We thought they were going to fight until one of them walked out. Other than that it was clean and near enough to downtown to make it easy to get around.
- 3/5
Bathroom in bad condition. Clean but I. Need of repair
- 5/5
I had a wonderful experience. The property was clean and safe. Also, there was plenty of parking for the guest.
