    Unfortunately, the service experience fell short. When I asked the front desk for a recommendation for a nearby cocktail bar or lounge, I was simply told, "I don't drink." That didn't answer my question, and I would expect hospitality staff to have at least some knowledge of local attractions and dining options regardless of their personal preferences. The breakfast staff was also disappointing. Their demeanor felt unfriendly, and simple questions were ignored. For example, I asked if I could use the maple syrup before it was removed, but received no response. Additionally, the photos made the property appear more modern and appealing than it felt in person. While the location is a strong point, there are other hotels in the area at similar price points that may offer a better overall guest experience. Definitely not a VIP worthy property on Hotels.com.

    As a very last minute night's stay, this hotel was safe, centrally located, super clean, and the staff went above and beyond to be helpful. I cannot stress how precious the sweet lady at the front desk was when we checked in. So helpful! Literally her attitude will be the reason we go back. Parking is NOT currently valet and is ALL paid parking but it is right beside the hotel.

    Staff was great. Lots of upgrades and small renovations happening. Bed was comfortable Room was clean but shower and sink both drained slow which would cause water to back up. And this seems petty, but the body wash, shampoo and conditioner bottles were so small. They were not enough for two adults to use for a single night. Make sure to load up before leaving the front desk

    Great location but the rooms were gross. Sheets had stuff on them, no bags in trash cans, bathrooms looked gross. It smelled very musty in general and construction going on. If we would’ve been staying more than one night, I would’ve asked for a refund and gone elsewhere. Service was also not the best. Nobody greeted you, just on their phones as you checked in and had to say something to them before they looked up from phones. Just overall not a good experience. Will never stay here again

They put us close to the elevator, since I was having same day surgery. Also, they have a wheelchair. My husband used it to transfer me to/from the car to the room. The staff is excellent. A special shout-out to the young lady working the front desk on May 19th and 20th afternoon/evening. She is friendly. She is very knowledgeable about the area, where to go and where to eat.

    The room was basic but clean. Everything you need. Air conditioning was great. The hallway had an order and we were in a room outside the elevator. So we heard the beep all night which wasn’t great. We didn’t get to try the free breakfast so I can’t comment on that. Parking is kinda terrible. You can use the garage but after taxes and fees was $46! There is street parking but we couldn’t find any. Morning management was so nice. Opened doors and offered to help with luggage. We took an uber to a concert and it was really easy. If your looking for a no frills reasonable cost hotel this works. Oh beds were soooooo hard. TV kept going in and out I’m assuming due to weather.

    Staff was very friendly. They do not have parking offered by the hotel. It is offered by a parking garage next door and is pretty steep at almost 50 bucks for our less than 24 hour stay. Our 3rd floor room was very clean, but walls were paper thin as we could hear our neighbor coughing all night long. Also, the curtains were fairly sheer and you could see right out into the the floor of the parking garage which made me wonder if people parking could see into my room. Other than these two things hotel was clean, staff was helpful.

    BE SURE TO ASK IF THE ROOM'S REFRIGERATOR IS WORKING BEFORE YOU ACCEPT THE ROOM KEYS. I am a senior woman, travelling alone and the front clerk working that evening thought it was OK to give me a room with a non-working fridge. I told him I needed to keep my medication chilled, and, to his credit, I was switched to another room, but NEITHER ROOM had a working room phone, either. Also, it's kind of a sketchy neighborhood, but what do you expect for under $300/night?

    Super close to the hospital, which is what we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We wanted to go eat a good breakfast, and they recommended MIDTOWN CAFE around the corner which turned out to be a fabulous suggestion. We will return to both the hotel and the restaurant

    The blinds in our room didn’t work very well so a lot of light kept coming in. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the breakfast, but the first morning there were no eggs, then every other day it was the sausage. So if you like no variety it would be great. Check in was a lot confusing, but the parking garage isn’t exactly attached, you pay through a separate app, which wasn’t made clear when we booked. The AC unit is very loud. Location was good, beds were comfortable. Staff was nice.

    Great stay at the Hayes Street Hotel, within walking distance to Vanderbilt University and Centennial Park. We got caught in a severe rainstorm and Yen at the front desk showed us incredible kindness by assisting us with our waterlogged belongings. She truly went above and beyond. Hotel lobby has a nice spacious seating area to lounge. Included breakfast has standard hot and cold items. Will definitely stay again when we are in Nashville.

    The parking situation is TERRIBLE. I paid $44 for ONE night of parking? And, it's a terrible garage you can barely navigate, cumbersome to unpack and repack, etc. I don't even recall seeing there was a per-night parking charge, and it was an outrageous one at that.

    Negatives: — The coffee in room was poor quality and the powdered creamer was confirmed that the hotel wasn’t at all interested in spending a dime on the extras. — The soap, shampoo, etc, provided was the tiniest amount possible. For two people to shower, we add to pound the baby-sized bottles to get every last dribble. Would it have broken the bank to provide normal size hotel bottles?

    Overall, it was a nice stay for what we paid. It was pretty clean other than the shower floor just had a lot of possible stains. The biggest issue was that the walls are extremely thin. You can hear the housekeepers around you every morning cleaning as if they are right there in your room. You can hear other people talking in their rooms and their TVs and you can hear all their activities as well which was a little awkward. But other than that, it was a nice stay.

    Good value for the low price. Clean and in good repair. Breakfast was minimal and quite crowded and unfortunately the hotel no longer has a bar so the beverage credit was applied to the snack bar concessions.

    Breakfast was good and kid friendly. Everything was fresh and tasty. Coffee bar was always well stocked as well so we enjoyed that part! The rooms could have been cleaner. We found hairs in a lot of spots specifically the bathroom which is always a little off putting and trash in the drawers. Sheets and everything else were clean though and the beds and pillows were comfortable. All staff that we came in contact with were friendly and helpful as well.

    There was a confusing parking situation. The parking lot adjacent to the building is not the hotel's so parking was a bit of a struggle. Also, there was a mix up with our room reservation and once brought to staff attention there was a 6 hr delay to correct. The 1st room was a double and showed signs of distress. Dirty walls and peeling paint. A loud rattling air conditioner unit. We were woken up at 9pm by staff to correct rooms as there had been a mix up with another guest with our last name. This new room met our standards and showed no distress. Nice and clean, but ironically only a few doors away from the 1st.

    Everything about this stay was awesome. The check in/out and valet staff were friendly and professional. The room was cleaner than any hotel I've stayed at in a long time. The linens were crisp and clean. No complaints and we would definitely stay again next time were in Nashville.

    The staff is friendly and super helpful. Rooms are good sized and clean. Breakfast was good with make-your-own waffles. Room service is upon request. Located in midtown Nashville near the original Hattie B's, it is a bit off the beaten path and about one mile from Broadway (Uber!).

    Bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were able to find street parking and avoid the $42 charge all 4 nights. The Hayes is downtown without being too close to the party of Music Row. The Mexican restaurant next door had great food and drinks.

    The hotel was very nice for our short stay in Nashville! It is walkable to music row (about 8 min walk). We also walked to the Parthenon from the hotel (about a 20 minute walk). It is a bit far from downtown broadway st, but the Ubers were decently priced (about $10 average. The hotel itself was nice but they do not provide housekeeping without a request which is a bit frustrating if you don’t remember to request it. The breakfast was about what you expect for a hotel breakfast. We didn’t have a car but the thing to note if you do is it is $42 a night to park and street parking is limited. Overall very good stay for our trip needs!

    The bathroom was dirty, there was a stain that looked like blood on the rug. The room barely fit two beds due to the ac being 2 inches away from one of the beds. The breakfast looked old. The only good thing was the 12 pm check out and the valet guy was super nice.

    Staff were very helpful, and accommodated our requests re storage of luggage and a room change after our first night. Our initial room was a conjoining room, which wasn't so good, as you could hear the conversation of the people in the next room. Our second room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom vanity was a little on the small side. Breakfast was good, although not as much variety as other hotels we visited. The foyer area had plenty of seating, and we especially enjoyed relaxing on the swinging chair while we waited for our Uber rides. We would definitely stay here again.

The nice parts were having a coffee/bar water available throughout the day. Front desk staff were not the friendliest.     The hotel was nice, and I was lucky to get the last room available. The room was spacious, though it was a handicap room that I was unaware of, but happy to get one. Beds were comfortable, and rooms were clean. Breakfast was disappointing, very limited. We ended up drinking coffee, and that was it. Lobby bathrooms were locked and not accessible, which would have been helpful. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for a night.

    I was pleasantly surprised by The Hayes. This midtown hotel was in a quiet, safe area. We were in town for a concert and it was a short, easy drive to the arena. After the show (on a Monday night) the kitchens at the places on Broadway were closing up but right around the corner from the hotel we loaded up at ‘The Cookout’ which is open until 3am during the week. The next morning it was a short walk to the Midtown cafe for breakfast (highly recommend). We were able to park for free on the street in front of the apartments across the street from the Hotel. There are also a couple paid parking lots - one next door and one across the street. Or you can do Valet parking at the hotel. The hotel itself was quiet, had friendly and helpful staff, and it was very clean. The room was modern yet welcoming, and the bed was comfortable.

    For the price and location of this hotel I’m shocked how run down and bad it’s being kept. Due to travel dates I had to change my dates and my other hotel could not accommodate so I found this place and it had great reviews but I was wrong! I had no choice but to stay. Breakfast was non existent, bagels and muffins on top of the bar. Mandatory valet service and the service was terrible! You barely found the guy and he was rude! I was not told of the daily valet rate until I checked in AND a daily incidental fee. My room had ants, bathroom had mold and wouldn’t drain, the mini fridge didn’t work. It smelled musty and the AC had mold in it !! and wet. Shower curtain was ripped and old. Almost $@&/: stay for this! ( can’t mention how much but it was a lot) I couldnt move hotels because I’d lose my money and I had no other last minute options. Tried to talk to front desk but no resolution. Nope ..

    All in all a good hotel, especially the staff made this an enjoyable stay (Shoutout to Ruben and the lady in charge of breakfast)! The hotel is a good 30 minute walk (7 minute drive) from downtown. I walked there and felt fine both during the day and at night. Many dining options for take out and order. The lobby is decorated nicely, with swings and many cute seating options. They had a barkeeper that played live music. Contrary to what it says on Expedia they do offer complimentary breakfast, although it’s a small one it did have everything one might want. All in all good place!

    This hotel was in a great location. Very walkable to Music Row. Broadway would have been easily walkable had it not been 100°! Would stay again.

    It was a decent stay for one night in Nashville. The room was more dated than I expected and the air conditioner kept me up most of the night. It was super loud. Over all decent stay, lots of restaurants nearby.

    The Hayes was very clean and had a great location. Staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was upgraded upon arrival and we enjoyed the boutique feel. Only downside was daily housekeeping was by request only, but this was very minor and we could request more towels and toiletries from the front desk. Would recommend!! Walkable to Midtown Cafe- excellent food!!

    Rooms were terribly small and drab. I usually stay at a Hampton and tried something different this time. This was definitely a downgrade. I was unable to receive $20 bev credit, staff didn’t know what I was talking about. Not a great place for dogs if you’re traveling with one.

    Need updates to room/bathroom. Parking is expensive when you really can’t even walk to any places nearby. Expedia says VIP get $20 beverage credit but hotel only gives 20% off 1 drink.

    Hotel was nice and staff was great. But the room felt damp and the bedding. Shower had great water pressure, was hot and clean so bedding was the only issue feeling like outside camping in summer

    The staff, service, and hospitality was great. Our room was clean too. However our mini refrigerator was barely working and ended up having to throw out some food as we didn't notice the problem until it was too late. Looks like there is some updates needing to be made. Also we didn't know that parking is now valet only and $42 per day, until I got my 24 hour pre-comfirm the night before we arrived. We didn't even use our vehicle for the 2 nights we were there and paid $84 to park. I understand paying a nominal daily fee to park, but this seems pretty excessive especially when your customers are spending good money to stay at your hotel. This is one of a few big reasons that people are going with Airbnb and VRBO now.

    The hotel itself was very nice. The lobby was clean and inviting. The location is ideal. Very close to midtown bars and restaurants. About a 10 minute ride to Broadway. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be the bathroom faucet was loose and clunky, the toilet handle was loose and the water pressure in the shower was terrible.

    I thought it was great, and the Mexican restaurant next-door is to die for. You can also easily walk to a barbecue joint here Vanderbilt campus, which is amazing. It’s an easy short Uber to downtown great staff great rooms. The only thing I would say is parking is difficult and off campus. I will valet most likely we will come back!

    Hotel was in a quiet neighborhood and there was free parking in front on the street. Visiting Broadway required a 1.2 mile walk but we were fine with that on most days. Be sure to visit the Midtown Cafe for dinner, a block around the corner. Exquisite dining yet still affodable.

    Room was good and very spacious. Bed was comfy, water pressure from shower is great. But, the bathroom shower had mold, no microwave and you could slightly hear noise through the walls. The area where the elevators are, stunk really bad. The seating areas in the lobby are very nice, but the couches left of the bar area were very dirty. Looks like they have never been cleaned.

    Hotel room was clean and the area was quiet and safe......not too far from the main attractions.......about 1.5 miles away from the action (walking distance for us) i.e. Broadway and 4th Ave. The price was reasonable for the one night stay Sunday to Monday. The important thing was the rest. 7-9 hours and we were up and running. Didn't care how many channels the TV had. The complimentary breakfast is OK....don't expect scrambled eggs, maybe they have them on a different day. The one thing that people have to remember is that the valet parking is $42. We were lucky because we found free parking across the street from the Hotel. Parking in this area is very expensive. We found an inexpensive solution later in the day at the Public library located at 7th Ave and Commerce........$20/all day. My grandson was performing with his H.S Band at the Nashville Symphony. We are both retirees aged 69. One last thing to mention (an important one) is that the staff was very pleasant and fun to deal with. 5 stars is OK with me.
