Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville North Skyline

I'm not a Karen, but at least 70% of the point of a hotel room is to sleep. Sure, there's a bathroom, possibly breakfast, and a TV to entertain. But the point is to give you rest for the night. If the room can't achieve that, at $175/night, then is it any good?

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. I returned to this hotel because my experience last year was a good one. THIS YEAR: The hallway and elevator lobby of the level I stayed on had a strong smell of deodorizer. However while the room I stayed in SEEMED clean, upon walking into the room, one was hit by a rank odor that I can only describe as akin to being in a sweaty locker room or like a pair of sweaty tennis shoes had been left in the room for awhile. I was too exhausted to make an issue of it on the first night, but the next day, I asked the front desk if they had a bottle of Febreze or other odor neutralizer that I could spray around the room. The best the front desk staff could do was give me a 99% empty spray can of Lysol, and then they supposedly asked someone from Housekeeping to come up and check on the room. No one ever came. Fortunately, the only time I spent in this room was to sleep. However, in future, if I ever come back to stay here, I will demand another room because the odor WAS that bad. Else, staff was good; Breakfast was very acceptable.

The location and the staff are always the best part of the stay. Parking was difficult and not enough lighting at night in the parking lot.

Great location. Staff was friendly. The mini fridge in the room didn’t work, so our left overs spoiled. The chair had a smell to it. And The pillows leave a lot to be desired, even with an added 3rd it felt like I was sleeping directly on the mattress. But overall it was a nice stay.

The staff were exceptional with great service. Breakfast was very good. Only minor problem was the toilet in my bathroom was a bit short.

My only dislike was my door was ajar when I returned from an outing. Apparently someone entered the room when I left the premise.

I stayed four nights and really enjoyed my stay. My room was very nice with a large TV and a very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One staff member told me about the bus stop nearby that goes to downtown Nashville which proved to be extremely helpful. Overall a fantastic experience.

Quiet and clean hotel with adjoining restaurant which has amazing pizza and salads. Good breakfast and staff were super nice

The pillows were very uncomfortable. We requested two extra pillows and only received them after two days. I also asked for our room to be cleaned. The hotel policy states that rooms are cleaned every other day, but even after requesting service, our room was not cleaned for two days. When I called the reception desk to complain, the staff member was rude and not helpful at all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very disappointing experience.

We were on a drive back from PCB, FL to west Michigan and needed a late night hotel that could also take a cat. We were able to check in at 1am and greeted by the front desk. Overall it was a great hotel, breakfast was good, and they even had toothpaste packets (because I forgot toothpaste😩). Will for sure stay here again!

The bathroom doors are "barn door" style with no lock. Bathrooms did not have an exhaust fan either, at least not for the guest to use. Pool did not have any towels stocked in the pool room so hallway was usually wet from people that didn't take a towel.

First room (412) was not clean to my standards. Saw 2 small bugs (cockroaches) and contacted the manager. They moved us and attempted to rectify the issue. Overall generally a good hotel.

This property and staff have been a true blessing to our family, as we were dealing with a traumatic/ event that occurred three hours from our home, involving my father-in-law. The staff was so accommodating and supportive to our entire family. James, went over and beyond to treat us as we were his own family.

Close proximity to 65 was a plus. The bed was very comfortable. Toilet roll holder had obviously been pulled off and other holes drilled next to it. The toilets were low. We prefer a higher raised one. Other than that it was clean and comfortable for our one night stay.

Location Nothing

Unfortunately, we were unable to stay in the room we booked. Customer service called us just 10 minutes before our arrival to inform us that a pipe had burst in the room. We were told no other rooms were available. I also had to ask them to check for alternative availability, which I would have expected them to confirm before contacting us. Overall, it was a very frustrating and disorganized experience.

We could hear a dog barking at night and early morning, which was a bit disturbing.

Breakfast was excellent and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The whole place was very clean. The shuttle to downtown Nashville was extremely helpful to get to our show without spending a bunch of money on a rideshare. I wish we could have brought our dog, but I understand most places being hesitant to allow large breeds. That's not really a problem but we'd definitely leave home more often if we could bring our dog.

The attached pizza place is top notch. Also a great stop if you drive a Tesla because of all the chargers out back.

Our room was very clean. The staff were very friendly. The best part of the breakfast was the kindness of the two women who were working in the breakfast area. The blueberry scones are always yummy, please do not get rid of them. The entire hotel is clean. The couch and chair in the larger rooms need to be updated and more comfortable. The couch is very uncomfortable. The beds are nice and comfortable. We stay at this Hampton Inn evey year on our way home from Orlando. This visit was only to Nashville and we enjoyed our six night stay. Thank you!

The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. There’s a great restaurant (bar food, but very good bar food) connected to the property, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was pretty standard fare. There is plenty of parking and this hotel is walking distance from Skyline Hospital.

Loved it. Except when i was awoken between 2-5am with people being loud with music and partying and yelling. The property itself was nice but because of the guests, i will not be staying here again.

If I could give them six stars, I would. Everything about this day was amazing from the front desk to the living area. The bathroom, the rooms were big and spacious clean. I normally wear my house shoes, no matter what hotel I go to. I wasn’t a MUST to put them on with this stay and I love that. However I still wore them. Amazing stay!

The hotel seemed nice and the staff was great. Our issue was we had a room with bed bugs😩 it was not covered however one is too many for me. I know things happen but the room we stayed in had issues with the toilet and then the bedbug issues. The staff were great and we ended up checking out and received a refund.

Staff was not helpful in directing us to restaurants or even to areas where food was available. The in house restaurant was no our style of food. I was in town for a funeral and was not interested in traveling to the downtown area which apparently was close. Although the staff advised of the shuttle, it was 102 degrees that day and we did not want to go out and depend on that mode. No maps

When we returned to the room at 6pm the room had not been serviced. Trash was not emptied and the coffee station not replenished, which were the 2 biggest needs, along with bed not made, no new towels etc. At check out I informed them of the issue. Along with the fact that the coffee station was almost empty of cups when we arrived and that the last coffee filter (from previous tenant) was still in the coffee maker. I was told that mgmt would check into it and contact me later in the day. Got no response. I texted the following day to go over the issue again. The response was that since I had the 'in the room' sign up (which was from 8 to 9:20am) the room was not serviced. When you try to tell someone that there was a problem that they may want to check into and you are then told that it was your fault, not theirs, it really rubs you the wrong way. The lady at check out could not have nicer. The hand off to the next level, not so much.

It's really easy to get to downtown Nashville from this location. The view from the room was nice and the parking was easy. Room had one of the quietest A/C units I've ever encountered in any hotel room!!

The problem was the AC. I had it doen on 66 and it was hot all night, until about 7 am, it got cold.

Staff were awesome; they truly make the hotel what it is. Had an issue with noise in an adjoining room (lady couldn't talk without screeching) and the hotel handled it well. After that it was smooth sailing. Great shuttle to downtown a few times a day. In a nice mid-point area to get around. Would definitely stay here again!

When I arrived they did not have a room for me because they didn’t have a key to my room. When I finally got a room, the keys didn’t work. Other guests had the same issue. Someone from the hotel had to let us into our rooms. When another guest tried to call Corporate there was no answer. Very disappointed

I was charged $50 for incidental's and I did not see where it was credited. There was absolutely nothing extra in the room. No bottled water, mini bar and only one pack of regular coffee which I did not use. What was this charge for? Otherwise, the room was great. Instead of happy, I feel ripped off.

I stayed one night but they were very friendly and very clean establishment. I live that they have a shuttle to drive you from and too downtown area.

We stayed one night and the room was very nice! The room was very nice, very updated and new looking. We were able to log onto the Hilton App and choose what room we wanted before we arrived, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was very good. We also ate at the pizza/sandwich restaurant that is in the hotel and the food was very good. We did not get into the pool, but it was very nice, and it was quiet while we were there. The staff was friendly and helpful. I gave a 4 on cleanliness, only because I found several hairs in the bathroom. I realize it is hard to get every single nook and cranny, so I might be too critical? But hair is my cryptonite, so it bothered me. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay, and we would definitely recommend!!!!

We checked in later in the evening, and unfortunately had a real difficult time understanding the receptionist. Her heavy accent made it almost impossible to understand what she was asking for. Later, I went down to ask for a couple of bottles of water and the eye roll and huff as she handed to me were not appreciated

If you are traveling with pets, Hilton branded hotels are no longer actually pet friendly. They have upped their pet fee. hotels.com should disclose these fees when saying a hotel is “pet friendly”

Two things: I wish that they would post the charge for pets. I got there only to find out that there is a $75 pet charge. If I had known that I would have stayed somewhere else. Second, I found the night desk clerk very rude. She should not be in customer service.

Overall good place to stay. Only complaint is Internet did not work for us during our stay which was inconvenient for us and our children since we brought game systems and things to unwind for the night in the room and made it difficult to look up info for our trip as we do not have unlimited internet. Called the front desk and was told “sometimes it just doesn’t work”. Kept trying to connect and reached out to front desk again just to ask them to verify our info was correct in the system (since they changed our room when we arrived I thought maybe there was a possible mistype) and response to my request seemed very aggravated. This was my only complaint about to property. Good location. Good pizza place on site. Pool on site was 3ft all around which I enjoyed for my kids to be more independent in the water.

Ver accessible off the freeway. Not far from town with access to all freeways. Ample parking and grounds are kept up nicely. Staff is incredible and accommodations were very nice.
