Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the high cost of parking, small room size, and issues with housekeeping services.
- Great location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- High cost of parking
- Small room size

The room was small. Surprisingly small, but it worked. The tv was huge. But no CBS because of a "contact dispute." There were outlets and other connections to charge all our social media audio video products. Love the pictures on the walls of the hallways. 5 minute walk to the Broadway Honkytonk district and much insanity. Kind of like Disneyland on steroids and LSD with lots of whiskey and music. Very unique. Back to the sanity of the hotel. Went to take a swim in the rooftop pool in the afternoon. Too crowded with tattooed men and women drinking and yelling in the pool. I'm beginning to sound my age. Lovely dinner 10 minute walk north up the street. Overall Nashville was a kick and the hotel was pretty good.
- 5/5
Our stay was truly amazing! Came down for our honeymoon and the receptionists treated us like gold! They upgraded our room, provided a late check out, and a bottle of champagne was in our room waiting for us. Daily housekeeping, the rooftop pool was great, and the cafe downstairs was perfect for early morning coffees. Loved our stay and cannot always say that about hotels. This one was wonderful.
- 4/5
The hotel is very cool though old. The rooms are small and have limited closet and storage space. The staff were helpful.
- 5/5
The room was clean and well maintained. The pool was amazing. The location is perfect, 2 min walk to Broadway
- 4/5
Location was great! The happy hours were such a nice break in the day! Even my mocktails were so delicious! Easy to walk to everything. Love the vintage feel. The room was a bit dark.
- 5/5
It was close to Broadway, the staff were fabulous, the rooms are lovely but could do with more storage, there were 3 people in our room and there weren’t enough storage draws for our clothes, best hotel we’ve stayed in Nashville Could do with more storage space in rooms but this isn’t a complaint
- 5/5
Location Lobby just a bit dated
- 5/5
Great atmosphere! Amazing location. Roof top pool No complaints
- 5/5
It’s so cute. The location can’t be beat. The pillows are soft and amazing. And they give out free yummy drinks every day from 4-5!

Love staying at the Holston House, this is our second time staying there when in Nashville. Love the proximity to all the bars and restaurants, highly recommend.

Pool was completely packed at check in, fine we checked it at 11:00 ish our fault. Dinner reservation at Four Flamingos was lost and we were told we could sit at the bar. Next morning tried to open our patio door - stuck shut. Quick look out the window at the pool and every single chair was “reserved” while staff ignored it. Huge wedding at the property , over crowded. We left a day early. Hyatt…. Do better.

The check in staff were very welcoming and put a bottle of wine and chocolates in our room as we were on honeymoon. They helped with our postcards and got us coffee and milk top ups when we needed. The room and pool was lovely The pool menu and drinks were a bit limited

The property was in the best location for what I wanted and the staff was really nice
- 5/5
This hotel is a lovely oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of downtown. It's beautifully presented, with great decor, a lovely bar, and really helpful staff. The only one slight downside was housekeeping was a bit hit and miss in terms of things like shower gel running out and not being topped up until we asked, towels been taken but not always replaced. However, that didn't detract from a fantastic hotel. The rooftop pool was a real treat after a hot day, and the location is a 5 minute walk from Broadway - close enough to be there quickly but far enough to be slightly away from the craziness! We will definitely return. One tip - if you're peckish, don't buy the small popcorn packs from reception; they're $19!

Location was great. Close to the action on Broadway, but far enough away that it was not heard at all hours. N/A

When I reserved, I paid for the breakfast but expected to be like a buffet not a la carte where the prices we do not understand what was included in the package. Very confused to be honest. Of course, we paid extra :(
- 5/5
excellent property great staff Rosario was wonderful and accommodating. Stephanie at the front desk was welcoming. Overall the rooftop pool and bar area was nice and relaxing, and the hotel was minutes walk from Broadway and all the highlights of Nashville
- 3.5/5
The beds were comfortable and the location was great The service at the restaurant was not good at all. We had some issues with rudeness from the front desk which was very disappointing. Not enough lighting in rooms. And not enough drawers/spaces to unpack luggage.

Great location I booked a two bed room and they overbooked and gave away my room, leaving me with a one bed room. Not cool

Helpful bellman & valet parking staff. Convenient check-in and courteous front desk & management staff. Nice lobby space and bar/cocktail lounge for gathering. Our premium king suite was very comfortable with quality bed linens and very good selection of pillows (!). Housekeeping team was very good as everything was very crisp and clean! Overall A+

We loved mostly everything about this hotel. Staff was very friendly...rooms were clean. The room size was small and there was not a lot of space for three people to put their stuff. Also, the noise at night was a bit much.

Excellent location, walkable to Broadway, hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Afternoon cocktails were very welcome, bar was fun, and the hotel just has a great vibe. Decent gym - although an odd shape! - and would definitely recommend staying here.

We highly recommend this place. Will definitely stay there again. Staff is very courteous, the rooms were excellent and the amenities were fabulous. The location was very convenient and close to Broadway and that country music Hall of Fame and many other places. Their café breakfast bar was very, and the pool deck and full bar up top was great. The whole entire staff took very well care of us.

Upon walking in, you’re greeted by a warm welcome from staff. The decor and lighting in the hallway were beautiful and truly showing the character or the building. Location is great (5 minute walk to broadway). The bed and pillows are super comfy and clean, and the bathrooms are big. The live entertainment at the bar was also great to sit and have a drink. Throughly enjoyed my stay!
- 3.5/5
They quoted us $67 per night for valet parking, which was more expensive than properties surrounding it and the final bill came out to $76 per night.

The property was so much more charming than a normal chain hotel. It was located just far enough from Broadway that the noise level was not bad overnight, but close enough to easily walk into the middle of everything in three or four minutes. The room was very comfortable and clean. Our fellow guests were very nice and the hotel itself was very quiet. I do have to report that on our last night, we witnessed a shooting from our 9th floor window. It happened maybe a 100 or 200 feet from the front door of the hotel at 2:45 in the morning. At no time did we feel unsafe in Nashville or at the hotel. Apparently a fight broke out at a club nearby and it spilled into the street and there was a large volley of shots. Any big city can be dangerous at 2:45 am especially when it stays up late partying the way Nashville does. There is a big police presence on Broadway but it seemed to thin out after 2 and in the direction of the hotel. According to news reports of the incident, the club where it happened has experienced trouble before. It is not on Broadway and we did not have to walk by it on the way back to the hotel. Anyway, I wrestled with whether to include this in my review because it is not the hotel’s fault. It is not reflected in my ratings of the hotel. I mention it here simply to share that if you are out late in Nashville (which we absolutely recommend), consider imposing a 2 am curfew on yourself, stick to Broadway and walk back to Holston House on Broadway (it’s super close). Nothing. The hotel was great.

Located in the heart of Nashville, convenient location. Some of the staff were incredibly rude and there were issues with charges to my credit card. For the cost of the hotel, there are so many better options to stay at Nashville. I would never stay here again.

I wish it was slightly cheaper, but I want that for anything I buy. Other than that, everything else was on point.

This was a fabulous gem with an incredible location. Just around the corner from Broadway and all the nightlife! It was a boutique experience with amazing and friendly staff. The beds were super comfortable. Lots of vintage touches that made our stay so special.
- 3/5
Clean room and building. Only issue we had was the pillows were absolutely TERRIBLE. They were so flat and just not good. We did find it very loud compared to other hotels we have stayed at in the same proximity. Outside noises were not buffered at all.
- 5/5
The staff was kind and knowledgeable, the food was great (a little limited on variety though), and the room was cozy and clean.
- 5/5
We had breakfast everyday at the Tenn and it was delicious. We enjoyed the bar every evening.
- 5/5
Great location and very nice hotel.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, with unique furniture and decorations. Navigating to our room was easy, and the rooms had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were extremely comfortable which is always a plus for me. We were located extremely close to Broadway, able to walk to any location that we wanted to visit for the day or night. If we bought merchandise it was convenient to head back and drop it off before our next venture. We were central to all of Nashvilles big shopping, dining, and tourist attractions. Very conveniently located, getting a Lyft was easy and each ride was no more than 10 minutes. Super fun trip, we would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thanks for the hospitality.
- 5/5
The room/hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close by the main happenings in Nashville. We really didn’t take advantage of the fitness room or the pool but both were well equipped and clean
- 5/5
Loved the rooftop pool bar area and the vinyl hour in the lobby.
- 5/5
Everything about our stay was perfect! The room was clean and quiet, the bar was pretty with good music, and the restaurant was very good with the nicest waiter !!! We will stay there again !
- 5/5
The staff was fantastic. Always eager to help and there to answer any questions. The pool and roof top bar was perfect to relax before going out for the night. Bar in lobby was classy.
- 5/5
All the charm and character of a well designed boutique hotel. Great use of space in the rooms. Staff was friendly and responded quickly to requests. Only minor improvements would be to fix the fans by the covered space next to the pool. Very minor…!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! They were so helpful and hospitable. Location was great too!
- 5/5
Excellent boutique hotel in a great location! Just far enough away from the craziness, but close enough to walk when you’re ready to jump in

- 5/5
Didn't really use the amenities so i can't comment, however, the condition, location, housekeeping, friendliness, and furnishings were all excellent
- 5/5
This was a personal and emotional family trip for us and the hotel staff were amazing! They left a supportive card in both our rooms, the valets were great! So helpful and kind. The cleaning staff fast and efficient! Close to all the action! Could not have chosen a better hotel! They way surpassed my expectations! Not a big fan of the pillows but everything else was perfect!
- 2/5
Very noisy while trying to sleep.
- 4/5
Attentive and polite staff, from the valet to the front desk. Every employee we encountered was a delight. The perfect place to stay if you're catching an event at The Ryman or Bridgestone Arena. Walking distance to Broadway, the museums, restaurants, etc. The rooftop was a bit worn and dated, the furniture cushions and pillows were faded/dirty and/or stained. There was a mandatory daily resort fee, but nothing felt like a resort. Cocktail hour was crowded, nothing worth the fees we paid. There should be complimentary shower caps in the bathrooms because the only shower is a rain shower head.
- 5/5
Loved how nice, clean, and close it was to broadway.

Great friendly staff and good location. Close to everything but in whiter area. Huge bathroom The parking. It is by a third party and a total rip off and they don’t easily show daily rate . Hotel a little pricey with the fees

This is a great location and very quaint place. So clean and great atmosphere.
- 5/5
Highly recommend. Great atmosphere, cocktail and vinyl hour in the afternoon, steps from Broadway but quiet. Good breakfast with excellent coffee, served until late. Nothing
- 5/5
First of all, and the most important, the room and especially the bathroom was extremely clean. We've stayed here several times and the desk staff are always friendly and helpful. The valet guys were outstanding. The bar is a nice retreat in the evening. One reason we always stay here is the diner. Good service, good food, good coffee.

Lovely hotel with incredibly friendly staff.

Parking was slow and cumbersome to deal with.
- 3.5/5
The fridge in the room didn’t work and there was only one overhead light and it was off to the side so it wasn’t very bright.
- 3/5
The property was beautiful. The valet parking was horrible. Not worth it. We will just park across the street next time.
- 5/5
Probably one of the best stays at a hotel I’ve had! They upgraded our room for our anniversary with a bottle of wine. We got the breakfast package and it was delicious, definitely recommend getting it. The room was so clean with awesome views of the city. We will absolutely be back!

This was such a quaint, yet elegant, place to stay in Nashville! Not far from all the excitement on Broadway. The staff was amazing. We had a minor issue in the room, and they had it addressed and fixed within the hour. Food at TENN was really delicious. I would for sure stay there again!

Enjoyed the bar one afternoon; agan great service & good signature cocktails. Rooms are good size. I especially liked how the toilet was a separate bathroom from shower. Cute little sofa at the end of the bed for extra seating. Very comfortable bed & pillows!!!!. The entry to hotel has about 5 steps so it’s important to have the bellman assist with luggage. Which they did upon check in & check out. I would definitely stay here again!
- 4.5/5
Great location and very clean. Included breakfast and room service made meals easy. Room service could be open later and have more basic options for breakfast like side of fruit or banana.
- 5/5
Very clean, good size, excellent location. Needed an extra chair in the room and didn't realize all fees were not included in reservation cost.

When we checked in the toilet was running. Upon leaving withing 30 min, we let the front desk know and was told maintenance would go up on fix it. We got back late, after 9pm and the toilet was still running and proceeded to the whole night. Next morning, we told the front desk again and was told they would fix. Again, upon returning the 2nd night, it was STILL running all night. The next morning we went down to the front desk and it just so happened that the Head of Maintenance was walking by and heard my complaint. He came up to the room immediately and it was taken care of within an hour. Two nights, we didn't sleep well due to the running toilet. Two full days we were never communicated with about the status of our repair request. As an apology, we were left 2 free drink tickets less than 24 hours before we were checking out, so they went unused. Very said about the lack of attention and consideration for their guests. However, the gentlemen who was the head of maintenance was a gem!

The staff were superb! They all went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Of particular note-the first morning we were there (2/10) I noticed cola or coffee spilled over the hood of my car in the valet lot. I told the two staff members at the door and the mess was "magically" gone the next morning. Their efforts were so kind and so appreciated!

It was an unusual circumstance as we were there as we didn't have power because of the huge Nashville ice storm. The staff was great-with a lot of craziness going on around them and the room was very nice.

Clean room, roomy bath/shower, happy hour, good restaurant
- 5/5
Friendly staff but they got our parking rates wrong so that’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. It took a while to correct it as they charged for 2 nights valet when we only parked for 1 night. Room size is huge as is bathroom but shower is very small and water gets all over the floor.
- 5/5
Would stay here again was a wonderful hotel
- 5/5
Everything was great!

The room was nice but the parking fee was ridiculously expensive and we also had unexpected fees. I travel to Nashville often and I will not be staying here again.
- 3/5
Had a few problems with this hotel, unfortunately. They made everything right in the end, but it wasn't the best 4 star hotel experience I've had. The hotel itself is nice. It's an old historical building, has a nice waiting area with couches and a cocktail hour with music. The room was clean aside from a blonde hair I found on the counter near the coffee machine. I wish there was a microwave in the room. Had to go downstairs and trouble them to heat up a few plates of food. Staff were accommodating, but I felt like a bother. Got a premier room and I think upgrading was worth it. The room had a small separate room with a toilet and sink with mirror. A large walk in shower and sink with larger mirror in the other bathroom. There is a sliding barn door on the shower washroom. It doesn't lock, so it's a nice room for a couple, but maybe not a family. The issues I had - asked for early check in, hotel said no problem, then ended up checking us in an hour after the check in time. They ended up comping us for valet due to the inconvenience, but initially gave us a coupon for 2 free drinks (we don't drink). They then offered a breakfast voucher, but I already had breakfast included with my package, so that didn't make sense. There was something missing from the breakfast, so I also asked to be refunded for just that item. Overall, the stay was fine and the hotel's location is great. Very close to broadway. I just wish we had been able to check in on time and not had so many issues.

- 5/5
The room was nice and clean. Hotel was beautiful. Loved the area that it was in
- 5/5
Such a lovely and historic hotel! We loved the convenience of the valet parking and walkability to all things downtown Nashville. We will be staying here again.
- 5/5
Delightful all around! Staff, room, and the restaurant/bar we welcoming and made the stay pleasant.
- 5/5
Perfect location and staff
- 5/5
It was great. Only thing is the pool is seasonal. That should be listed, was disappointing.
- 5/5
Convenient location, comfortable room, cocktail hour was fun, hot chocolate was yummy, enjoyed the Christmas decor and the music theme, especially the vinyl key cards, great staff
- 5/5
Didn’t know there was breakfast 😂 air conditioner was great. Room was clean.

The hotel itself had a very vintage look and beautifully decorated for the holiday. Clean rooms and staff was very friendly. Location was great
- 5/5
Very clean and hotel! Staff was great. The bar was very nice. Location was perfect!
- 5/5
Cool hotel in a great spot!
- 5/5
very comfortable and clean
- 5/5
The staff were very nice and meals we ate were very good! Our only complaint was the cost of parking.
- 3/5
Nice hotel, but VERY noisy. Also, the expected amenities for a luxury hotel (makeup mirror, robes, seat in shower, larger night stands) were missing. We enjoyed the stay, but will likely stay elsewhere next visit.
- 5/5
Beautiful renovated hotel with historical charm. Easy walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and shops.
- 4/5
Room was clean but dated.
- 5/5
Clean room. Great staff
- 5/5
It was a very good experience. All staff were very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
The bathroom had a barn door and while sitting on the toilet, you could look out into the from the toilet, you can look out into bedroom. It would be nice to have a door on the toilet area or a more concealed door.
- 5/5
Room was great
- 4/5
Atmosphere & close location
- 5/5
Courteous and helpful staff - from the valet to the front desk, everyone was so helpful.
- 3/5
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms, had everything we needed. However, very noisy! The room we were in seemed like there was a party and street racing right outside the window, and lasted until about 3:30am. I had to wear my earbuds the last night to get a little sleep.
- 5/5
Clean. Friendly. Great food.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Good property to stay in
- 4/5
Air conditioning was good. Food was not fresh. It was dry and tasted like it had been reheated numerous times
- 4/5
The staff and service was excellent. The bar/lounge was very cosy and enjoyable. The restaurant servers were good but the food was not, The rooms were fine. The location is great for walking around. The valet staff was great.
- 5/5
The staff are amazing!! It’s our second time staying here and we’ll definitely stay here again!! It’s so clean, and such a great location!! Actual steps from Broadway!!
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, nice bar decorated for Christmas and delicious breakfast options.
- 4/5
The room was tiny but the location was good
- 5/5
Awesome staff, but i didn't realize it in the beginning that , i was in contact with a 3rd party servicer , representing the Hyatt , and the rate this quoted me was $165.31 , as opposed to the $183.89 i was charged , other than that I had a wonderful stay !! Even the food at the Bar was excellent
- 5/5
A+ all around. I liked everything about this place. The staff was very warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless. The shower was spacious, and the water pressure was phenomenal. And the bed was extremely comfortable. Plus, it was just a short walk to Broadway and the Ryman. I would most definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful…knowledgeable and friendly staff, excellent location, beautiful modern rooms that were spotless, the most comfortable bed. This is a quality place, a real gem.
- 5/5
Clean rooms everyday, shower was great, only bummer was a small breakfast menu. Overall would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to Stay!
- 4/5
The desk staff was excellent providing information on what see and do. They provided great check-in and out service. They were quick to get answers when we had questions
- 5/5
Wonderful stay, staff are so friendly, and the hotel is lovely, clean, well appointed and they do complimentary alcoholic beverage at 4pm daily and hot chocolate until 9pm. Thanks we will be back!!
- 5/5
Such a beautiful hotel! Love how close it is everything! The staff is outstanding thank you so much to Flo for taking care of us, she was just so sweet and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again!
- 5/5
Room was spotless. Location was great! Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
The room was amazing!
- 5/5
Location was perfect .
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Great service. Rooms very clean. Staff is very friendly. Nice bar and restaurant and great location. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do.
- 3/5
Room and Front desk staff were ok. House keeping was terrible. We had an event and needed out room made up so we could get ready. 5 hours later it still had not been touched. For a hotel of this price, that is not acceptable
- 5/5
Great staff location room cleanliness and bar/restaurant !!
- 5/5
We loved Holston House! The lobby was beautiful! The rooms were great & the shower was excellent. The location was great for walking around Broadway.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful. Everything was clean. Great loction.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
We had a great trip to Nashville staying at the Holston House. Beautiful hotel, staff was top notch always there to assist. Rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast was excellent as well.
- 5/5
Just a short visit but it was awesome. Perfect location to the Bridgestone Arena and the strip. Room was very nice. Staff were all exceptional.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly!
- 4/5
Staff was great! Rooms were great!
- 2/5
Hotel was fine other than no new towels. Booked through Expedia and paid a deposit 7 months in advance. Got to the hotel and they “had no record” of paying a deposit. Even tho it’s clear when you go to book you pay a deposit. So they took my deposit and charged me full price upon my arrival. So don’t book here unless you want to pay and extra $500. Expedia has not been able to help either
- 5/5
Quiet and private. Great food and service staff. Unique ambiance. Great location.
- 5/5
Very walkable
- 5/5
Excellent
- 1/5
Second time staying here and disappointed again
- 4/5
I thought $66 a night To park my car for 2 nights was over the top and I had 2 meals and the food was not good at all. Other than that I liked the hotel.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, staff was super helpful and friendly! Everything was great.
- 5/5
Lovely! Friendly staff and walkable to restaurants and broadway.
- 4/5
Tory was absolutely wonderful. Clean spacious room. Only complaint was the noise at nice. Well into the night from midnight- 3am the screaming and hollering outside was horrible. Revving of engines. Kept me up all night.
- 5/5
Loved the entire hotel! It was beautiful! Staff was great!
- 5/5
Love the location, attention to detail and cleanliness.
- 5/5
Great stay, perfect location.
- 5/5
Gorgeous decoration, style. Clean room. Friendly and professional staff. Great on site breakfast!
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk were very professional, efficient and sweet to me upon my check in. It’s a very beautiful historic and quaint hotel and I loved being so close to Broadway and the Ryman auditorium for the concert I was there to see.
- 5/5
The hotel had a great vibe, front desk and valet staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect - easy walk to dining and nightlife!
- 5/5
The staff is amazing! We celebrated my 50th birthday with 50 of friends, we enjoyed the "spookeasy", overall it was a wonderful experience!
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
Parts of the hotel are beautiful. With that said, I did not find our room to be in good quality/shape. It’s hard to say the area outside hotel is safe and clean when homeless people are using the toilet on the sidewalk and doing drugs as you walk by.
- 5/5
The property was great and the hotel staff were fabulous. We enjoyed our stay. The walk to Broadway was easy.
- 5/5
Great spot
- 4/5
Loved the hotel room, bathroom was spacious beds were comfortable, limited closet space. Housekeeping, we had none for our entire stay. When I asked, they said they were short staffed, and very busy. Location was great, Broadway literally around the corner, a lot of places were within walking distance.
- 5/5
Holston House was perfect, from the moment I drove up until we checked out. Perfect valet service, beautiful lobby and room, and the restaurant had excellent food. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want to walk to Broadway, Bridgestone Arena, and The Ryman. Above all, the staff were all absolutely wonderful! We will definitely be staying here again.

- 5/5
Staff was great. We loved the style of the public spaces and of our room. The bar was great too. The location was convenient for walking most places or for an easy ride share pick up. We highly recommend this property and will stay again.
- 4/5
The hotel was great. The only problem was we had to check out early because of illness. They told us they couldn't change our charges as it was booked thru travelocity. So we lost that money.
- 5/5
Ashley and Kristina were absolutely awesome!
- 5/5
The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very curtious and helpful.
- 3/5
Rooms were quite small & dated however very convenient for location , all walkable
- 4/5
Beautiful place, great location. Rooftop pool was a hit.
- 4/5
The room was very clean. Room keys were our favorite. It sucked that the rooftop bar wasn't opened, which was one of the reasons we booked this hotel
- 5/5
Staff were great, extremely friendly. Room nice and clean and appeared newly renovated. A little on the small side. Valet was ridiculously expensive.
- 5/5
This hotel is a gem. It was conveniently located to all of the bars on Broadway. Everything was in a 7 block radius. The staff was super friendly, and the place is immaculate.
- 3/5
Thankful it was cleared by fire department. Huge safety concern!!!
- 3/5
Clean rooms but small and dated.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room. Great staff, pool on rooftop a bpnus
- 5/5
We were very impressed with the entire hotel during our stay at the Holston House. Within walking distance to all the bars and restaurants on Broadway. We will highly recommend the Holston House to everyone .
- 4/5
Wanted to check out pool, but it was locked. Our bathroom vanity had a massive crack through it. Bartender made very poor drinks that we sent back and she didnt offer to refund or make differently... $45 down the toilet on those! Also avocado toast does not equal guacamole toast - that was a let down, too. Hated that the shower only had a rainhead, makes it tough to rinse off without getting your hair wet. On the positive side, location is great. Front desk staff were great. Bed was comfy. Style and decor were cute! Bellboy was super friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with charm. Staff is very friendly and helpful, great location
- 4/5
Clean and large size rooms
- 4/5
The room was ok, furniture was missing that was in the photo. Some wear and tear. Bathroom door is barn style doesn’t close all the way or lock. No privacy whatsoever
- 5/5
Absolutely beautiful location
- 4/5
Booked a king room, paid for in advance..checked inn, went to room and its a double bed. Went back to desk and she tried to convince me i reserved a double, after a few minutes of pulling up screenshots on my phone i showed her and she goes to the back to talk to manager and theres nothing they can do, there oversold she says....First and last stay at this establishment for us.
- 5/5
Grear
- 5/5
Pool area on the roof was great. They had happy hour daily and played records. Small hotel with excellent personal service
- 5/5
Friendly staff, hotel was very clean
- 4/5
Staff were friendly. The pool area was nice. Room could have been cleaned better. We were there 3 nights and the room was never cleaned.
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 5/5
Staff is amazing very helpful, respectful, knowledgeable
- 3/5
Nice place, but average. We arrived around 1:00 pm and told it was $50 for early check in. One min later the price went down to $25. The room was obviously ready. We don’t care for the money grab.
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful and well kept. We loved our king room. We would certainly stay here again. Just a couple of blocks from Broadway and so many Nashville destinations. Great job by the staff also.
- 4/5
After we returned home, we realized we had left our 2 ergonomic pillows in the lobby. I called and spoke to a front desk person who really couldn’t be bothered to check (even though I told her exactly where they were left) and would only send me a link to submit a lost & found department. I received a do not reply email which indicated the hotels actions. I have yet to receive any follow up. This non-response has really left a negative impression, especially with the person at the front desk who doesn’t seem to care.
- 5/5
We stayed overnight for a quick Nashville visit. The hotel was very close to all the activities on and around Broadway. Many restaurants in all price ranges available within walking distance. The hotel staff from the valet to the check in clerks were very welcoming, courteous and helpful. The room was very up to date with the decor and the bathroom amenities. The beds were very comfortable. They had an onsite bar restaurant that made it convenient as well. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel agai.
- 5/5
Had a great stay
- 5/5
Would happily re-book this hotel on a future stay in Nashville.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and prompt service. Great location to broadway and theaters nearby
- 5/5
It is a great location close to Broadway but away from the noise. It is a lovely hotel
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location, fab breakfasts.
- 5/5
We loved the atmosphere and the rooftop pool. The hotel bar was fabulous and the breakfast at the attached Tenn was delicious. We had a basic king size bed room. I would upgrade to a room that had a larger square footage. The room felt small. The location was perfect because we could walk to everything on Broadway, but it was just far enough away that it was very quiet.
- 5/5
Very close to concert venues, best hotel staff i have ever experienced in years of travel for leisure and work. Charming hotel.
- 4/5
The no self parking is a first for us. The valet only is okay, but it would be nice to have another option to self park.
- 5/5
Perfect location, this place has it all, roof top bar and pool, right around the corner from all the action but just far enough away for a quiet stay. Super friendly staff and amazing accommodations. Room was top of class. Hope to stay here again on the next trip.
- 5/5
Very nice and quiet hotel. I liked how it was smaller. Also loved how they decorated it for Halloween - very fun!! Their restaurant, Tenn, was wonderful for breakfast with excellent service! Very walkable to Lower Broadway.
- 4/5
Our stay was great. Only issue was with housekeeping. Never came the first day and the next day we had to ask for not to be made up. We were fine all day, came back by 4pm and it wasn’t done.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel. Great for walking to Broadway attractions. Very convenient breakfast place attached.
- 5/5
We had a great time! I felt like a VIP!
- 5/5
Excellent walking to Broadway around the corner
- 3/5

- 4/5
Are outside of hotel was rather seedy and not all that safe for vehicles or people.
- 5/5
Only thing I did not like was the $25 per day charge. So unnecessary
- 5/5
Hotel was great. A little old, but so convenient it was worth it. Put faucet was broken when we arrived, but staff had it fixed within a half hour.
- 2/5
Hidden $25 per day fee for use of water in the lobby and gym (even if it is not used). This is not charged until after checkout and had to call to find out what it was for. Cannot be refunded if none of the hotel amenities are used.
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
The hotel was great and I would recommend. My room was spacious, the shower huge. We did not hear any hallway noise or noise from outside. Everyone who works there is friendly and attentive. Great location! Close enough to walk to everything on Broadway but just outside of where the madness begins to it is quiet and uncrowded.
- 5/5
Clean room with very comfortable beds. A bit of noise all night from Broadway but is to be expected from such a central location.
- 5/5
Loved the vibe of the hotel! The staff is friendly and attentive. Felt safe and loved that is was walkable to downtown. Great location!
- 5/5
Very friendly
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and quiet especially the with proximity to broadway. The onsite food is great, and the live entertainment at the lobby was incredible. I have already recommended this property to some friends who are heading down soon and will book there again on my next visit
- 4/5
This was great location!
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Excellent location and a great pool!
- 5/5
Staff was great, check in and out easy. Bellmen were really nice and made it easy.
- 4/5
👍
- 5/5
Loved my stay at Holston House! The staff was super friendly, the rooms were cozy and stylish, and the rooftop pool views were unbeatable. The complimentary drinks in the lobby were so delicious — such a cool touch. Plus, you’re just steps from Broadway but it still feels calm when you get back. Definitely staying here again next Nashville trip!
- 4/5
The only thing I didn’t like about my room was the bathroom door. It was one of those sliding barn doors. You could see one of the beds from the toilet because the door leaves a big gap even when shut completely. Plus you couldn’t lock it, so a warning for families with little children who would want to barge in on you. Other than that issue, it was a lovely hotel in a convenient location.
- 4/5
Great location. Pool was very small and always crowded so we weren’t able to use it. Elevator was very slow. VIP access was a bottle of wine but we don’t drink wine so we left it. Toilet doesn’t have separate door which was odd for a bathroom with a non locking sliding door.
- 5/5
Loved the location. Close to all the delights of downtown Nashville.
- 4/5
Great location for nightlife and Nashville sports teams. Very nice property and friendly staff. We stayed on a busy August weekend with lots of young adults on celebratory trips - fun to observe and good energy but also crowded at the pool and in the lobby. We also didn’t love the food at the hotel or for that matter in the nearby tourist area - it was all ok, expensive, tourist fare. We will do more meal planning next time to get out of downtown. Monell’s in Germantown for breakfast was the exception. Loved the experience.
- 4/5
Only negative was it cost $50 to check in before our check in time. Cocktail drinks in lobby from 4-5 is a plus. Highly recommend getting a record player from front desk. Lots of records to choose from.
- 5/5
the best part about it is the location
- 5/5
Overall a great place to stay! Will come back next time in town.
- 5/5
All the benefits of a Hyatt property with all the feel of a boutique hotel! Every staff member we interacted with was upbeat and helpful! (Shout out Ben @ the Rooftop Bar/Pool & Athina in the Tenn Restaurant)
- 5/5
Excellent location for nightlife, with some of the most helpful and friendliest staff. The hotel's decor and amenities are very nice and we definely reccomend .
- 4/5
Additionally, the breakfast service was exemplary, but the food was a bit disappointing. I had an omelet and my husband has blueberry pancakes. They were fine, but we could've had much more flavorful versions of these same food options for half the price. We would definitely stay again, but would probably eat breakfast elsewhere.
- 3/5
Housekeeping only replaced 2 towels, no wash cloths
- 5/5
Very clean.
- 5/5
Staff very friendly and courteous
- 4/5
Super cool hotel in a great location. The issue was loud construction began every morning at 6:30 am ruining our time. Bartenders were awesome! I’d just check on construction unless you’re ok with waking up super early to loud noise.
- 5/5
Loved the Music theme, such a neat touch! Will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
bedwas comfy and clean along with the friendly staff made our stay. will definitely stay here again when we visit again
- 5/5
Great boutique hotel. Staff was excellent. It was exactly what I expected. Great location walkable to Broadway.
- 4/5
The bed, pillows and shower are the best! BUT…the noise from the air conditioner/fan is absolutely a problem. I had to turn it off or not sleep. By morning it was quite warm. It may be a deal breaker.
- 4/5
Room was
- 4/5
We were unaware that unless you wanted to carry luggage for half a mile or more to park, valet was only option and cost was ungodly and tips and fees was enough for another nights stay. Destination fee that was $45 for 2 bottles water a night and Expedia had made me aware that I had Silver extras for stay and was not recognized at the property.
- 5/5
Quiet...easy access to Broadway
- 4/5
Very nice room. Like the older carrier. HVAC could have been better but it was hot Thursday and I understand it is an older building.
- 5/5
Loved the boutique like feel of the property. Great location to Broadway.
- 3/5
The staff AAAAA++++ super nice and friendly and extremely helpful!!! Room was small but very clean. If you’re looking for a pool this isn’t your place . The pool is small and open to the public, which isn’t something we knew going in.
- 4/5
Nice Hotel, nice staff
- 5/5
The hotel had a great vibe and the staff were very nice! Great place and I would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Beautiful property and staff was very helpful. The pool on the roof could use some extra lounge chairs and umbrellas but overall, we really enjoyed the stay and convenient location as we could walk to the downtown area and the Frist Museum.
- 5/5
Will always stay there when I come to town
- 5/5
Pleasant
- 5/5
close to downtown
- 5/5
Great place. Location is perfect. Live acoustic music nightly. If you can catch Andrea Dozzi playing there…. She’s the best!
- 5/5
A unique hotel with a lot of amazing history. Right beside broadway. Highly recommend for the cozy atmosphere and cocktail hour at check in was a nice added touch
- 5/5
A great & convenient place to stay. Tori at the front desk was AMAZING! She made out anniversary super special and gave us some fun local favourites to see
- 4/5
Rooms nice , elevators very slow, desk looking to up charge for everything, housekeeping very slow
- 2/5
Generally dirty. Pool so gross I didn’t get in. Loud. I was woken up twice in the middle of the night to shouting in the hall.
- 4/5
My room was very comfortable and the front desk staff was very helpful
- 5/5
this was my first solo trip and the staff really cared for me and my safety. it was in the perfect location to walk to broadway and other popular locations
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
It was easy to walk to Broadway Street.
- 4/5
Was able to get an early check in with no extra fee. Friendly staff from walking up the front door to the lobby. Small elevator but fast and no wait. Rooms very quiet and spacious. Clean and standard amenities. Bathroom small with zero counter space, little on the worn side with water damage walls- nothing that affected us. bed was okay, ended up hip pain because it was too soft and sunk in. Great walking distance to lots of places. Easy in and out if using valet.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel, a father walk from the bars than we liked, but doable. Nice out door pool and seating area on the fifth floor, lounge area with a large sit at bar in the reception area, makes for a great indoor out of the heat sitting area for gathering or sitting and reading
- 5/5
Not sure why Eco-friendliness trendy question is on this survey. But its a great hotel, quiet, clean, nice rooms, and comfortable. Could careless about whether they are eco friendly, what ever that means in terms of what is going on behind the scenes. Does that mean they expect a hotel not to waste plastic and stop providing bottled water?
- 5/5
It was the perfect location.
- 5/5
Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
- 5/5
Great customer service. Central and close to downtown
- 5/5
Property was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The decor was unique and very cool. It was a five minute walk to Broadway making it super convenient.
- 5/5
This place was AMAZING!!! The building is awesomely historic and beautifully done! You HAVE to order the steak at the bar!! It was outstanding. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect. Close enough to stroll to the strip and the hall of fame but far enough from it to have peace and quiet. OH try the room service cinnamon rolls too!!! Also amazing!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and walkable to Broad street. Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Had a lovely mother/son trip! Will definitely visit again!
- 4/5
It was very close to broadway street
- 5/5
Location, Friendly staff, Clean. AC was perfect, bed was perfect, shower was, perfect. All was great.
- 4/5
For an exciting and comfortable stay in downtown Nashville the Holston House delivers the goods. From the catchy decor to spot on brunch service next door, they make a Nashville getaway a hit!
- 5/5
Holston House is a beautiful place and located close to Broadway. Rooms and lobby were perfectly clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
The pool was rented out for a private party one day so we were not able to use it. Also, there is no parking associated with the hotel so you have to find your own. We parked across the street in an open lot which ended up having several vehicles with smashed in windows. I noticed not the hotel’s control, but there’s a lack of parking.
- 5/5
We loved the professionalism. Everyone was so professional and caring about our stay.
- 5/5
only negative was $68 car parking fee.
- 5/5
I liked the location to Broadway. It was a clean hotel with friendly staff. I was not particularly happy with the bartender at the pool. Our first trip to the pool bar before an evening stroll and we were ignored by the bartender and as he carried on a conversation with a couple next to us. We walked away and went downstairs where a young lady at a much nicer bar in the hotel took GREAT care of us! The room was nice but the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. I loved the bar cart at the entry but no one was there, so I thought it was pure decoration. It was a last minute hotel selection. The location was a plus. Thanks for listening.
- 5/5
Holster
- 5/5
Love staying at this hotel. Parking is ridiculously expensive but the hotel is a nice walk to broadway and a little bit out of the way. We got a good deal on the room but Nashville wants your money and hotels now charge destination fees so count on spending an extra $125 to stay and park.
- 5/5
Excellent location just a few minutes walk from the bars on Broadway, Tenn restaurant onsite with great breakfast/brunch menu.
- 5/5
Great location near Broadway. Nice hotel.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean property. Short walk to the fun on Broadway. The pool area is nice, pool is refreshing.
