The room you chose was sub par! For this amount of money I expect a decent room with a view! Turn down service at 9:30 is ridiculous! The car rental was a POS Mitsubishi that had 70,000 miles on it and made me feel pretty stupid! Wake up and start giving to the people who support you!

Our checkout experience was extremely poor. Since we had a flight at 7:00 AM, we left the hotel at 5:00 AM. Despite being such a high-end property, there was only one staff member available. When we arrived at the front desk, he told us the system was already closed and that he couldn’t review the documents, even though I had not yet been able to check or confirm the extra charges. Because he was the only person working, he then left to retrieve our car. Meanwhile, we realized that we had forgotten our bag inside the hotel. As the doors were locked, I was unable to re-enter the property to retrieve it. We repeatedly called the hotel and rang the bell multiple times, and in the process of trying not to leave our belongings behind, we were at risk of missing our flight. It is absolutely unacceptable for a property of this level that guests cannot re-enter the hotel for nearly 20 minutes—especially considering that my passport was still inside the lobby, as I wasn’t even sure whether the checkout process had been properly completed. Additionally, I had ordered balloons as a surprise for my sister’s birthday. On one document, the charge was around $185, while on another it was over $200. I cannot understand how balloons could cost a total of $385–400. It is also very concerning that a single staff member was responsible for valet, checkout, and door duties all at once in such an expensive, five-star hotel.

I have not experienced such excellence in quite some time. I wanted to move into the hotel!

The room was lovely, good view. Housekeeping staff worked their magic exceptionally well every day 11 / 10. The door staff are very helpful with tips about the locality. The restaurant is good and the downstairs bar is a lovely place to hang out. The cafe food comes from the same kitchen and is high standard. The lobby is beautiful and comfortable. Front desk were great. The lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room is a big oversight. Quite difficult to order afternoon tea in the lobby. Some of the staff dropped the ball a number of times. The noise through the door of the adjoining room was only slightly annoying.

I love the location and it was so beautiful, especially at Christmas time. The staff was great as well!! Also had complementary champagne when we arrived in our room. The only thing I wish was more affordable eating options or a breakfast type option or even coffee inside of our room, but they do offer coffee in the lobby that’s free.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and with the Christmas decorations it was even more spectactular. We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Both were great. Breakfast portions were hearty. Can’t wait to stay again soon.

Beautiful place, my wife and I were provided the feeling of being taken care of. All of your staff was superb. Tyler provided an elevated experience. This hotel is beautiful. This was a splurge we are thrilled we took! Such a lovely stay with lovely staff and gorgeous surroundings. Highly recommend!

Room service came into our hotel room unannounced. They didn’t knock or say “room service”. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable and asked multiple times for them to leave and they didn’t.
- 5/5
Everything you would expect at a 5 Star property. Amazing staff, excellent dining options, and a “feel” that 5 star hotels often claim, but The Hermitage has the feel in their culture that makes the entire experience one that you will never forget.

The headboard was sticky and gross, towels were torn and the sink didn’t work. Incredibly disappointing at an allegedly nice hotel.
- 5/5
The dining room decor was not memorable and not inline with the beautiful architecture of the building.
- 5/5
The staff, amenities, location, and history sets the Hermitage apart. We had breakfast every morning at Drusie & Darr by Jean-Georges, and it was wonderful. If you’re into luxury, style, and heritage, then the Hermitage is for you.
- 5/5
The Hermitage Hotel is an absolute gem. We celebrated our anniversary here, and it could not have been a more perfect setting for such a special occasion. As an interior designer, I’m always seeking the well designed hotels where every detail makes guests feel relaxed, pampered, and inspired — and The Hermitage delivers on every level. Design & Atmosphere Recently renovated, the hotel’s interiors are a perfect example of timeless elegance. From the restored stained-glass ceiling and historic brass chandeliers in the lobby to the refined palette and details throughout, the craftsmanship is impeccable. Our light-filled room felt serene and indulgent, featuring plush carpets, crisp bedding, and a spacious marble bathroom. The deep soaking tub — with its sculpted armrests and smooth surface — was the most luxurious I’ve ever experienced. The renovation beautifully preserves the hotel’s historic grandeur while integrating modern comforts expected by the well-traveled guest. Service & Experience Service was equally exceptional. The staff graciously arranged a private historical tour of the property, which included a behind-the-scenes peek at Drusie & Darr, where Jean-Georges was hosting an event with celebrity photographer Tim White. When our departing flight was delayed, the team kindly extended a late checkout — a small gesture that exemplified their high level of customer service. Style & Vibe What I love most about The Hermitage is its balance — luxe without being stuffy. The ambiance feels refined yet inviting, with a sense of “cool” that evokes the effortless sophistication of the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France. The new exhibit of Tim White’s celebrity photography adds a contemporary flair to this historic landmark. Location Perfectly situated downtown, The Hermitage is just a short walk from Broadway — the vibrant heart of Nashville’s live-music scene. We will always remember our stay at The Hermitage Hotel. No complaints except that our hotel was not made up until late afternoon. We were in the room until late morning so once we notified the front desk, they sent housekeeping immediately.

I got a raw hamburger at the restaurant and when I check out the charged me 58.00 for parking in the garage. I didn’t have a car. I don’t expect those things not to be resolved before I leave to go home. Won’t stay there again

Beautiful hotel, staff always on hand to welcome you, could not fault this hotel obviously a bit on the pricier side but well worth the extra money as a treat. Easy walking distance to all main attractions
- 5/5
The finest hotel I've ever stayed at.
- 5/5
Excellent hospitality and great location. Would definitely return here!
- 5/5
This is not only the best hotel in Nashville it is one of the very finest in anywhere. The hotel is beautiful but is is actually the staff that make it standout. The bellman and valet were particularly great. The front desk was awesome. Overall just a terrific stay. Even the general manager stopped by during cocktails to check in on our visit. Very first class experience.

We decided to stay here based on our friends recommendation and we wasn’t disappointed. Great service, excellent room and the location is great. Close enough to the bars, restaurants and clubs but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the night life. We would definitely go back to Nashville and we would stay here again.

Excellent hotel. Staff was friendly and professional. House cleaning came twice a day and did a turn down service. Coffee every morning. Great lobby and restaurants. Highly recommend
- 4/5
While most of our experience was a fabulous 10/10, there was one flaw which reduced the rating to 9/10. First the positives: Beautiful rooms and hotel, great housekeeping, good location for downtown, nice coffee in lobby, friendly and welcoming concierge ,front desk, door men and luggage staff. However after reservations and concierge Natalia had kindly reached out to ask how they could help with our stay , we encountered Bartender Jay from Michigan in the Oak Room who obviously needs more training on customer service. After attending a nearby concert, at least 20 Hermitage guests came to the Oak Bar hoping for a small bite. Jay sternly said the kitchen is closed. I asked him if we could get some nuts or popcorn , he said no and no. After noticing that my $22 glass of wine was poured much smaller than the guest next to me, he said no it was poured correctly. But in room dining was available until 1 am and it was 11;15pm?

Excellent hotel. Very pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lobby beautiful. Rooms very nice. Everything in working order. No construction or renovation happening; no noise issues whatsoever. Excellent restaurant choices in the vicinity, and Broadway St. is only a few blocks away, easy to walk to.
- 5/5
service , decor , smell, housekeeping attention to details should offer smaller size bottles of water ( larger than the ones at the front desk) to be able to buy to take to the office / meeting / on the road.

Staff were incredible and so attentive Cucumber martinis were incredible Beautiful architecture Food was delicious

The hotel is spectacular. We loved the location, could walk to many things. Parking was expensive but it’s a city, so not too surprising. The room was beautiful and large. The gym was nice. We loved our luxurious stay!

Wow what a beautiful hotel and amazing service and atmosphere.
- 5/5
Beautiful Historical Hotel with excellent service.
- 3/5
We checked in pass 10PM after driving 10 hours all day and would have loved a hot shower! We checked out less than 24 hours later. We knew the staff was stressed so we were polite and kind to everyone. However upon checkout it would have been nice if the property would have discounted the rate for the inconvenience. I’m sure if we would have been angry and irate they may have. I was surprised they didn’t.
- 5/5
Fantastic property

The bar tender Myles was awesome though.
- 5/5
Lovely experience
- 5/5
Very nice. Great craft cocktails in the bar. Great service.
- 5/5
We could not get the temperature above 70 in the room and had to use the extra blankets. The nightly turndown service was very nice Tyler, our gentleman who helped us to the room with our luggage, was super nice and accommodating. Didn't catch the name of our early morning luggage person, but he told us it was his first time because you were shorthanded. He too was fantastic.

Historic hotel, staff is very welcoming. Room very clean.

What an amazing Hotel. The service was on point and Mickey, the mixologist, was a pleasure to speak with.
- 5/5
Service is top notch
- 5/5
Rooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. I had a lovely view of the capital. The window in my room was drafting when closed and did not provide sound insulation from the outside, but neither of those issues bothered me. The service at the hotel was top-notch throughout my stay. I believe one of the people behind the desks name was Hope. She was especially wonderful making everything happen.
- 5/5
Wonderful, as always.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hermitage and would definitely stay there again.

Service was great! Everyone was friendly. Would recommend 1000x
- 5/5
Everything about property was exceptional. Valet (Michael was amazing. Left phone on console and he brought to our room without being asked, Amazing!) Rooms were incredibly spacious and clean. Water pressure on 7th floor was SUPERB. Love the mini bar, room service, and big soaker tub. We enjoyed all the amenities offered by property. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great management !
- 5/5
The service at this hotel was amazing! Rudy is an absolute star at the front desk. I needed to work unexpectedly and he helped me find a quiet space for a couple of mornings. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much for them. It really blew me away. The hotel itself is a historic gem. Steps away from all of the honky tonk action but tucked away in a quiet spot. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
The Staff!! Was what made our stay outstanding. Spot on!
- 5/5
LOVED it!!!
- 5/5
Incredible. Wife and I came for two nights and nothing felt better than walking into the lobby after a long day.
- 5/5
Beautiful property! Amazing stay. We look forward to coming back soon.
- 5/5
This is true Tennessee hospitality. The staff knows your name, they are there to offer you water or whatever you need. Just note that while there is excellent complimentary guest coffee to take out from one restaurant, there are no in-room coffee makers, refrigerator, or microwave. After i checked out of The Hermitage Hotel, I checked in to another which had a significantly smaller room and fewer amenities. Definitely recommend you stay at least one night at The Hermitage Hotel
- 5/5
An exquiste representatation of hospitality at its best. The restoration of the early 20th century rococo empire esthetic transports one immediately as you enter the doorman atteded entrance. From there, all the attention is focused on the visitors comfort and convenience. The lobby, restaurant and cafe, to the suite oriented rooms are an experience in the definition of luxury. Not to mention the Hermitages' place in the history as the pinnacle location for the passage of womens suffrage. In our modern day world of unexceptional expectations, the Hermitage reminds one of expectatations fulfilled.
- 5/5
5 stars all the way Will be back!
- 5/5
History. Luxury. Cleanliness. Comfort. Service. Location. Food. Tub. We hit Broadway at night so being in walking distance was a plus. We live an hour away and have used many of the luxury hotels, but Hermitage is a favorite.
- 5/5
The only slight issue we had was that the hot water for the shower on the 8th floor was very slow in coming. Otherwise the staff and facilities were exceptional!
- 5/5
Staying at Hermitage in Nashville can only be compared to the difference between a Mercedes and a Rolls Royce. Mercedes is an incredible vehicle but when you go to a Rolls Royce, everything is noticeably better. The way you feel, the ride, how others see you, etc. I have stayed at many hotels in Nashville but nothing compares to the Hermitage experience.
- 5/5
The HERMITAGE is quite frankly not only beautiful from the moment you walk in but memorable from the moment you walk out.
- 5/5
Amazing!
