Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness, comfort, and spaciousness of the rooms, as well as the hotel's convenient location. However, there are frequent complaints about ongoing construction and maintenance, unfriendly or unhelpful staff, and hidden fees, particularly for parking.

The ladies at the desk during the day were extremely helpful the young man in the evening not at all. Beware of the $40. Parking got 2 nights with taxes etc it was close to $100. That is obscene.

We initially had issues during check-in where the computer xould not find our reservation. The staff did a phenomenal job not only working to find our reservation, but even providing a complimentary upgrade and anniversary gift for my wife and I. The location was better than we expected, close to Centennial Park and Vanderbilt U. Solid hotel gym to get a quick lift, and pretty good and well stocked breakfast. Cherry on top was complimentary shuttle to Broadway! When we decide to come back to Nashville, this hotel will definitely be our first choice.
- 5/5
We loved the patio in our suite! Breakfast was good and the beds were very comfortable
- 4/5
The weight room was extremely hot, be prepared if that is on your agenda. A fan would be great in there.
- 5/5
Awesome Experience. Loved everything. Staff was pretty helpful and everything you would expect, nothing crazy but hey its was good price for a great room.

Comfortable, quiet, convenient, Weak coffee and cold on the afternoon
- 5/5
The front desk staff was exceptional. Customer service was A-1. We had an issue with the TV remote and within minutes their maintenance man , named Rodney , took care of everything. He stayed a few minutes to insure everything was in order. A very nice man who is an asset to the customer service program. We liked everything

Great stay , no complaints

The room was nice, however, the light above the vanity did not work, the ceiling fan did not work, and we only had very, very hot water. Could not hardly shower it was so hot. There was zero cold water.

The room was clean and the breakfast was a full continental buffet.

This is a good hotel it just needs management that challenges its staff to up their game. Be more customer centric. Especially for what you are charging.
- 3/5
Oh, and they charge 40(!) Dollars for parking , prepaid for the duration of your stay on a separate bill, not part of the hotel bill, in addition to incidental holds. Strange. Very convenient if you got things to do at Vanderbilt, otherwise go elsewhere.

We booked homewood suites for the small kitchen area and the pool. My grandson was heading into a difficult surgery so we arrived early to let him have some fun before he would endure a long recovery. Check in was a nightmare and I can’t even begin to understand why and what the front desk were doing. We booked through Expedia. It took us a hour to check in. The pool heater did not work and we couldn’t enjoy the pool. My grandson endured the cold water out of desperation to have some kind of fun. But myself and daughter couldn’t handle the coldness so he was left to play in the water alone. The dishes in the room in cabinets had dried old food on them. It appeared to be due to an old dirty refuse ridden dishwasher that just didn’t clean well. The toaster didn’t work. The handle was broke for push down with plastic piece off and wouldn’t toast unless you held down metal pin. The breakfast offered as a nice buffet was limited to minimal food and a note posted in elevator to excuse this and basically deal with whatever they had going on that couldn’t provide what was advertised. While I was in hospital with stress of my grandsons surgery I was told my husband got a call that they were going to remove all my belongings if I didn’t provide a source of payment. I had already been charged 1,200 dollars and have no idea why they acted this way. My husband paid for the last 2 nights over the phone and I was told I need get a new room key. Too much to put in review.Awful experience!

The room was amazing. The balcony was far beyond expectations. The hotel service was great. The valet was quick and efficient.

Also one of the mornings we had zero hot water for an hour. It was ice cold. I called the front desk and eventually it came back, I just had to delay my shower. The breakfast was great. Excellent variety, loved the shredded pork and chicken and tacos. The tater tots were not crispy though. They tasted like they had been baked long before breakfast was served. We got there very early.

The valet staff were wonderful and the breakfast was pretty good. Bathroom floor was sticky, waited at front desk for 15 minutes before someone came to check us in, pool didn't feel clean.
- 0.5/5
The bed was ok. I was traveling with my wife and a toddler and requested and was denied a bathtub. The wifi and tv was not working, when we called the front desk they told us we could call the service technician ourself. Also the pool was not heated and again we was told we could call the service technician ourself. The bathroom was not stocked properly and the breakfast was poor at best. I was also not aware that there was a $40 dollar charge for self parking or a $45 dollar charge for valet parking. The staff was rude and unhelpful. These things could have been disclosed to me when I booked or at least at check in. I will never stay there again.

- 5/5
Room was perfect, staff was friendly and answer all questions we had
- 4/5
My daughter had a seminar to attended at Vanderbilt. It was so convenient to be able to walk across the street to attend. I booked this hotel for 2 reasons. 1 was for the convenience of being across the street to Vanderbilt university. Also for the pool. The pool was so cold not a guest was in at any times my little kid would ask me to go down there through out the day just to see if it was warm. I feel that you want to state your pool open turn the heat on so we are able to use all facilities.
- 5/5
Check in process was quick and easy. The hotel was in a great location. Room was exactly what we needed for a single night on our drive through. Only complaint is the pool was very cold. Almost too cold for our kids.
- 2.5/5
The location was good and the fact that valet parking was only $5 more than self parking. The bed was comfortable and bathroom facilities were nice. There was no communication on having to use your card key to operate the elevator. The indoor pool was freezing. Front desk clerk was on her cell phone while I was asking questions rather than offering helpful information regarding our stay.
- 5/5
Pool and gym were gorgeous. Breakfast buffet had an excellent assortment! Asked for a quiet room- they gave us one that was street facing. Great view- not quiet. Staff was not very knowledgeable of the surrounding area (clueless on details of centennial park and Vanderbilt which are their immediate neighbours). They made parking more complicated than it needed to be.
- 4/5
Great location and the breakfast was tasty. The bed was extremely hard. I hurt every morning in my hips and back and the pool was freezing. My grand daughter and two other children couldn’t handle the cold and it made for a short time in the pool.
- 5/5
Check in was smooth, room was clean and well supplied with all the amenities.
- 5/5
the room was fantastic and the breakfast was also fantastic! paying so much to park my car
- 3/5
Staff could be better, arrived at the hotel to find the room at 80 temp. When I called the front desk, I was told that the maintenance person would not be back at work till 8 am the next morning. They didn’t not offer to move me till I asked. When I asked what room would I be moving to, the person at the front desk told me “ when you come to the desk I’ll tell you “. The. Proceeded to hang up on me.

We had a bed bug in our room. They were nice about it, we were moved but then they said they can't control what other guests may bring into the room and their rooms were clean. I was asked if I wanted points being added to my account or to wait three days and call the regional manager. I opted to get the points toward a free night. I did not get any points. I left my contact information, no one followed up with me.

Cleanliness, shuttle bus, location, friendly staff
- 5/5
Location was beautiful, breakfast was great, and the room was excellent for our 5 family members.
- 5/5
Great location.
- 3/5
The bathroom was filthy, black mold around the grout and in drain! It looked as though the hadn’t been cleaned as well and the floor! I have photos of all of it. Room 328! Of course cars racing up and down the room is beyond you responsibility but I was a very noisy room this time! We have stayed here before and the room was excellent and no noise! I had two surgery whereby we stayed at your facility! So I aware of the people cleaning rooms are different but there was a difference. This is a house keeping issue.

Hotel cleanliness great staff great what Expedia should disclose is they can't extend your stay at same rate, but the staff was kind enough to keep us in same room at same rate. The rooms are a little sad and tired. The rooms need a major refresh of bedding and kitchen supplies. The windows in the common areas are filthy. Hotel staff was not super friendly. Shuttle service was spotty at best. I will not be recommending nor staying here again.

- 4/5
One person got us a water, when we asked for one from another employee, the answer was somewhat short.
- 3/5
This is the second time we stayed at this property. We enjoyed our room last visit, and overall location. This time it seems that staff wasn't as friendly as before and were not as accommodating. It was slightly disappointing to see the change in a year.
- 4.5/5
That it was right across the street from Vanderbilt didn’t have to go there for to see my son. That I had to pay for the parking
- 5/5
The room is spacious and comfortable. It is very clean. Their breakfast is very good.
- 4/5
Everything was great aside from the front desk. I checked out at 5am and the lady wasnt ready to entertain guests. She was sitting down in the corner, and doing something with her purse. I asked her if im all set with my bill. She didnt come to the desk nor check the computer. She just told me to leave the cards in the table and im all set. Looks like she wasn't ready to talk to the guest. She was busy and kinda snobbish. Need to improve customers service in the front desk. They also need to smile, and be more friendly, or be welcoming. Other than that, my first visit to Nashville was great.
- 5/5
Quick check in. Clean room. Great breakfast.
- 3/5
Cleanliness Amenities were lacking. Breakfast was not full until scheduled hours, gym and pool did not have towels to start or end listed hours
- 5/5
Great location. Delicious morning buffet. Rooms are clean....beds could be a little more comfortable but are acceptable. Staff very helpful, couteous and friendly. Pool is cold but clean.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the entire hotel was so nice. The buffet breakfast was very good and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind!
- 5/5
Free reception on Wednesday, staff upgraded our room, breakfast was good, shuttle was convenient and earl was a great source of helpful info.
- 4/5
great location
- 3/5
The staff at the front desk was not friendly at all or even helpful. When you ask questions about the vallet their response was they don’t work for vallet. The only one that was nice and helpful was the tall young lady with red hair.
- 5/5
Clean room, great amenities. Staff could have been friendlier.
- 3/5
Hot water wasn't working half the time. The place could use a hot tub because the pool is pretty cold. Staff and valets were friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The bedroom was a good surprise. We spent less than 12 hours in the hotel; it was just a stop to sleep on a road trip from Florida to Minnesota. I desired to have more time to enjoy. Breakfast was also very good. The receptionist on check-in was polite but not friendly. She said the bedroom was on the 3rd floor. I asked: "3rd floor?" She replied "yes, mam." It was on the 2nd. The receptionist on checkout was quick and friendly. The parking was very expensive. We paid $12 a day in Tampa, so it was a surprise to pay $40 in Nashville.
- 5/5
Quiet, spacious rooms! Nice pool and good breakfast.
- 5/5
I love it
- 5/5

- 4/5
Clean rooms. Shower was out of shampoo. Only one high chair in the dining area.
- 5/5
Yes, on arriving the Desk clerk said that there was no hot water in the hotel. She gave me an upgrade and the water was hot that night and the next day on Monday they were having problems again but overall, the service was excellent.
- 2/5
We were there 3 days and house keeping came the first day only. They did not provide extra toilet paper so by the third night we ran out of toilet paper in the middle of the night. Phone in room did not work to call for services.
- 5/5
Was surprised at the quietness in the room being at the airport. Very nice rooms and hotel overall. Great gym!!
- 4/5
Clean room, GREAT location, ok breakfast, new variety of pillows needed, lots of space, walls a tad thin, fast moving elevators :)
- 2/5
The self parking attendants is like trying to leave a prison camp. The valet guy was a great help.
- 1/5
The room never had hot water. People even in lobby and elevator don’t have hot water. Very expensive to park and per night for this inconvenience.
- 3/5
Then we became trapped in the parking garage. Apparently I did not finish the parking registration because it required reading a QR code and the license plate #'s. We didn't register until we were back in the hotel so no longer at the car. And it was very cold that day. So we got to the garage exit gate and it wouldn't let us out. There was no recourse, no one to call. I had to get to the hospital. My husband considered damaging the gate. I spoke with the clerk about these issues on checkout, asking about compensation. The They said there was none because I booked with Expedia. And the parking was done through a private company. Now I need to contact them because it appears they overcharged me. A.Stiles

Shower leak, general poor interior upkeep. Average staff demeanor.

- 5/5
Great hotel, great staff!

Got every unpacked and my surgical wash on at 9:00 PM and the shower had no, “0” hot water. Called the front desk and they said they were fully booked and didn’t have any rooms left and I would have to move to a spare room on the ground level floor. Looking out the window of this room was the valet car parking pickup's and drop off, plus registration parking and everyone walking in and out of the hotel. Therefore, very noisy until 12:30-1:00 Am. The hotel is beautiful and clean with a friendly staff. The pool was kept very clean and is a very good size. Workout room was also impressive. Bette rehab the average.
- 2/5
First morning had no cold water. Unbelievable right, the toilet was too hot to set on. Had to put ice in the tub to be able to take a bath. Could not take a shower because of scalding water. Told lady at desk, wasn't aware of the problem. Asked her for lotion. The lotion never appeared. Valet service was great except for the price of $100.00 for two days.

This was a college visit to Vanderbilt and this hotel is located directly across the street from campus. If our son ends up at Vandy, we could easily see this as our base for visits!
- 5/5
room was amazing and staff was very friendly and hard working
- 5/5
Breakfast was good.
- 4/5
The hotel was great. Good location, free breakfast, clean rooms, small kitchen area and bathrooms, and friendly staff. Besides the fire alarm going off our first night at 1am( which turned out to be a false alarm. Thank God), my family and I enjoyed our stay. And at least the fire alarms work! Also, If you are planning a trip to Vanderbilt University for a college tour, this hotel is RIGHT across the street! Very convenient.
- 5/5
Breakfast was awesome...rooms were clean and staff was amazing. Location for the vanderbilt game was awesome and they had a shuttle to take you downtown.
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean. Great breakfast.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Clean, spacious rooms. Had a pack n play ready and set up for us for our 1.5 yr old. Breakfast was way better than your standard continental breakfast. Location was terrific. Would definitely recommend especially if you are looking for a big room for a family or staying for a Vanderbilt game.
- 5/5
We used shuttle service many times which was such a convenient service for us and appreciated it. The drivers were kind, and pleasant. We enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning. Most days we needed to ask for more plates, bowls and granola. As busy as it was, I feel like it would have been more helpful and efficient if one staff member was present/out in the breakfast area while other staff were the runners. At times it took a while to make contact with a staff member and guests were waiting to dish up their food. Food Service staff would benefit from more customer service skills.

Overall very clean. Great space in the rooms. nice lobby area. Good breakfast. Parking felt safe. Location is great. Would stay here again without question.
- 1/5
Terrible customer service. Trash cans overflowing everywhere on property. and not changed for our entire stay. Sticky elevator floor. No toilet paper in bathroom by the pool. The front desk wouldn’t open the parking gate for my wife to take our daughter to Urgent Care. They demanded she use the QR code that wasn’t working, even though we paid for parking. Person was annoyed when my wife asked for help. That’s the opposite of hospitality. Very disappointing.
- 4/5
Very clean, great breakfast and super shuttle drivers!
- 5/5
Excellent, spacious room with a well-stocked kitchen and a clean, user-friendly bathroom/shower. Lots of electrical outlets, well-functioning Internet. The only item on my wish list would have been an electric kettle (though I was able to heat the water in a pot to make tea). Extremely friendly, helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet. Loved it in every way.

The receptionist was very rude. I am a military veteran and she was very rude when I asked about military discount. She then stated she needed a credit card for file, I calmly asked if the one booked would work and she, with a disturbing tone told me NO, I need a different credit card. Service was terrible
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing from check in to check out. All staff were friendly and helpful. Tony and Jay were simply the best at shuttling us around town for the weekend, even when we didn’t know a gate number or street address. These guys rock! We will definitely be staying here the next time we return.
- 5/5
Thr room was clean, the sheets was soft. The room smelled fresh.
- 5/5
Stayed at this property three times now and it is super safe, convenient and clean.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, convenient location, only complaint was front desk staff was unfriendly, no greeting, no info, just checked in and handed me the room card, no “ enjoy your stay… just put a robot at the desk, it would likely have more personality
- 4/5
The bathroom was dirty.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Room was spacious and kitchen was well supplied. Stayed after a long day at the hospital for outpatient surgery on a family member. Everyone was great and when front desk clerk saw that I had a patient with me and my mother using a cane, she switched us to a room next to the elevator. Very accommodating by observation. Breakfasts was great and kept stocked. Would highly recommend them for your next stay.
- 4/5
This was in very quiet area of Nashville. The staff and support crew were very helpful and friendly. Except for one person at the front desk who was”initially” rude when we arrived. I wish there were a few more amenities. Floor mats in bathroom. The breakfast hours posted on the Hilton website. Clock in living room area. A better welcome packet!
- 5/5
Easy check in. Great breakfast.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay, friendly staff, loved the shuttle service
- 3/5
I needed a hotel close to Vanderbilt for a MD appointment. I read reviews and Hotel. Com stated breakfast was included and price with taxes would be $428.44. The price ended up being $528.44 at check in with only continental breakfast. We didn’t have a vehicle, so one of the reasons I booked this hotel was the free breakfast. Next time, I will chose one walking distance to restaurants, etc.
- 3/5
In the past - there was breakfast - eggs etc- but there was only Bread and some coffee. Not sure what happened or what has changed.
- 3/5
The room was in very good condition and very comfortable. The hotel however did not have breakfast for 2 of the days of our stay due to lack of food supplies.
- 5/5
All staff members were friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Loved this location for visiting my daughter at Vanderbilt!
- 3/5
When we checked in, the 2 girls were quite rude. It was late and I was exhausted, and so not up for the attitude!
- 5/5
The only complaint I have is the parking fees that was ridiculous
- 4/5
Excellent breakfast and managers reception. Shuttle was very convenient.
- 3/5
Too expensive to park and the bathroom was horrible and the shower had major issues

- 5/5
Breakfast was incredible. Room was clean, spacious, super comfortable, and super cold! Just the way I like it. Seamless check in with incredible staff. Charu was great! Much love! Will be staying here again!
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, and well located. Though the parking arrangement was odd. Onsite facility but apparently operated by another entity.
- 2/5
I liked the location and what I didn’t like was the noise the fan in kitchen was making and it couldn’t turn off. I didn’t like the fact that I was charged 93.00 for parking I only stayed one night.
- 5/5
This was the first time staying here and it was a very nice hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was close to downtown and everything else in the area. I would highly recommend it.
- 5/5
The rooms are quiet and spacious. Parking is easy in the underground garage. The breakfast buffet has lots of options. Martin’s BBQ is right across the street.
- 5/5
Clean room, inviting room, clean lobby, nice breakfast area, great views. The best employees, best valet, best receptionist at lobby. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Also the shuttle was perfect for us, who didn’t want to drive in Nashville nor wanted to walk a long distance. Shuttle driver was excellent as well and very kind and nice also!

Front desk not friendly or very cooperative. Valet service was great. Did not have soap in the bathroom. Did not want to provide water. Hotel has no business center.

We have stayed in this Homewood Suites a couple times. The location is convenient--close to Vanderbilt and downtown. The front desk staff was very friendly. It's easily to be our first choice when we visit Nashville.

Nice place. Excellent service. Breakfast buffet was good.

Only thing that was it was labor day weekend opening day football season at home and you could hear music till bout 12. Just barely if had tv off. Would definitely stay there again
- 4/5
The hotel is nice the staff is extremely rude at the front desk. Valet drivers are very nice as well as the staff who cook the breakfast
- 5/5
The room was awesome would stay again

In addition, the hotel valet parking has been subcontracted to a vendor separate from the hotel, and the valet on duty did not check messages to retrieve vehicle. The facility building is fine, but competent management is needed.

My experience was awesome...Charu was so sweet and helpful... The property was really clean. I walked past a room that was being cleaned and they cleaning the televisions and all... Will stay again in the future.

The gym was great, breakfast was delicious easy day

The food wasn’t good at all. Didn’t have ice machines. No transportation to downtown. And had to pay to park.

No housekeeping. Overcharged.

Property was clean, room was good size, and seemed nice. We were on a high floor and the water pressure was non-existent Saturday morning and we were apparently the first to realize it (the shower would not come on). The front desk wanted to send up a maintenance person while we were trying to get ready and then accused me of declining help because we needed to get ready and leave. We ended up over an hour behind our plans for the day because of the pump issue. There was only one glass and one paper cup in the room. The breakfast was not what others have claimed. Plan to eat elsewhere unless microwaved food is what you are looking for.

It was very convenient. There was a bad smell every day getting off the elevator on the second floor. Other than that the hotel staff was nice, transportation was helpful and breakfast was great.

Staff was helpful, courteous and most pleasant.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, very clean!

The staff at this hotel were really nice and exceptional in their communication and service.

Cleaned room every other day, noisy bedroom beside street.

Very nice place.

Hotel has excellent service and is in a great location. The breakfast and space to eat were nicely done. Unfortunately, the beds, sheets and bathroom are horrible. The sheets are microfiber and thin. The bedspread is thin and slips off easily. The bathroom set up is terrible in that sink area is open to the room and one can't get ready without waking everyone else. The shower grout is coming out everywhere along the bottom where tile meets the tub. The outside corners of tub by floor are gross. The floors look clean but aren't all that clean. Large dust/hair balls are under furniture/dishwasher and in closet. Utensils in kitchen are mediocre and fork was dirty, Lastly, parking is expensive and on the West End of campus, street parking is insanely expensive and seems to be charged 24/7, unlike other cities. I would not stay here again, despite how awesome the staff is and beautiful view of the VU tower.

The breakfast was amazing - lots of different options. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It took us about 45 minutes to walk to Music Row - but we like walking so that was ok. Took an Uber the morning we went to the Ryman. There is also a hotel shuttle that will take you locally. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Every request was met with an enthusiastic yes! Even the valet.

Great, beautiful room design and comfortable king bed. bathroom did not have hair conditioner, the bottle was empty and shower door's handle was very loose.

Breakfast was very nice.

Great stay!! Will definitely book again when in the Nashville area!

Clean and they have a luxury shuttle to downtown. Love this place.

Great spot. Really nice. Great value

Overall great experience with a perfect location. The hotel is close to the action of Broadway; but, in a quiet setting next to the Park. The shuttle service was a convenient bonus!
- 5/5
We loved & appreciated the shuttle service!

The hotel is conveniently located to most major attractions in Nashville. Many restaurants within walking distance. I was most impressed with the valet staff as they were very courteous, timely and professional. Front desk staff also very friendly. Will definitely stay again! The only complaint I would have would be the cleanliness of the shower.
- 5/5
The stay was great. My husband said the breakfast buffet was very good. Only problem was check in. The whole parking situation was confusing and awkward. I will say some staff members are definitely on their game more than others. Next time I will use valet parking. Overall would recommend this for a fun experience in Nashville.

Awesome!

Very clean, good breakfast, and easy walking distance to Vanderbilt.

Very kind and courteous staff.

The fan and light didn’t work in the room. The elevator down button on the 7th floor didn’t work. You had to press the up to get the elevator. It also made terribly scary noises and clanging on the elevator. We stayed for one night and paid almost $200 … the fan and elevator button should work

My wife and I stayed for two nights. Definitely a 10 out of 10. Will definitely stay again when we are in Nashville. Thank you Homewood for making a great weekend for my wife and I.

We had a great experience overall, and the hotel staff was excellent. However, the property could really use some modernization. room 201 we stayed in felt quite outdated—especially the shower, which seemed old for the price point. For the rates being charged, some updates are definitely warranted. Also, the air-conditioning filter needs to be changed, as it seemed like it hadn’t been serviced in a while. With a few improvements, this hotel could truly live up to its potential.

Great place to stay by Vanderbilt
- 3/5
At the price charged for the room, the rooms should be serviced each and every day. The toilet paper roll barely had any part on it, with no extra roll in the room. I had to go downstairs to ask for more. The front desk staff were not friendly and the bed was hard.
- 5/5
Pulled pork for breakfast was amazing!

I like the property. The front deck agents were friendly.

We were staying for 6 days and did not receive anything that was paid for. No one came in the room to replenish the towels or toilet paper and we had little ones with us. We got sick from the breakfast that was served. Unnecessary language barriers.

My sister and I loved staying here! The rooms were nice and clean, the staff was great, and we loved the breakfast bar every morning (:

We enjoyed our stay and liked that breakfast did not consist of fruit juice, coffee and fruit. There were scrambled eggs, ham, waffles, bagel, toast, cereal, fruit etc. Everything was great.

This place when beyond my expectations! Rooms were large and beautiful! The shuttle was perfect for getting us around town! The staff was friendly and helpful!!
- 5/5
My only negative comment is the breakfast should be available until 10 am. Closing at 9 am is too early.

Appreciated it being close to hospital. Staff friendly and helpful. Awesome breakfast buffet.
