The rooms and bathrooms were clean and sizable, and the overall appearance of the hotel was nice. There was an odd musty odor when walking through the main lobby doors, but otherwise, the hotel was quite clean. We would stay there again.

The lounge was nice and there were plenty of spots to sit/work/eat downstairs. Our toilet didn't work/flush well. We booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1 because we got in late, had to walk a long way to park, and weren't happy that the toilet didn't work. We just checked out after we got breakfast.

Room and hotel Paid premium for close walk back from concert to find mile plus detour out of the way past much lower priced hotels. Then breakfast buffet pulled at 9:00am and the staff couldn’t care less that 5-10 people were looking to eat at 9:05. They were not sharing any food after 9:00…again the I paid for. Then pushed to the valet and promptly waiting 1 hour for my car…not cool

It was an easy, awesome stay and everyone was very helpful despite how busy they were for the Eagles concert. IT was one of the best stays we have ever had and we travel a lot. Nothing!

The M Lounge is a very convenient benefit, but somewhat limited in breakfast offerings. The happy hour apps are a great treat. The coffee quality could be much better. Overall, this hotel is very accommodating and well located especially if needing to access the Vanderbilt campus.

Location was alright, but saw better for the purpose of our trip. Loved the M club included in my room! - It was not easy with the construction going on, and only valet parking, some of the times we had too wait too long and we were in a tight schedule. - Tv didn’t work properly, it was going on and off and image distorted. - requested in advance for a jointed room with friends, didn’t get answer until the day we were arriving, and they said had to be done upon arrival, and we didn’t get it anyway.

It was a beautiful property! Just far enough off the beaten path to be quite and comfortable and decent uber prices. The room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. I like a mattress that is a medium to firm. Slept like a baby which I normally don’t do in hotels. The staff was very helpful. I was able to easily get a late night snack from the snack station in the main lobby. This area of town is really beautiful.

this hotel is run down.....it feels very dated in the rooms.....even though there is tile and a shower remodel it just still feels overall like they slapped paint and tile on it but the "old" feeling is still there. Also...the extra money I paid for the lounge was a JOKE. The aps at night and the breakfast is very weak . There was a pubic hair on the sink and a long dark hair on the wall in the shower and a SMEAR of something on the wallpaper near the stool (two smears) that looked like they could have been poop:( so gross

Nothing The property charged for parking, charge me twice for the room still haven’t taken off second room charge. The staff was not helpful at all about anything. I had booked this room because my son was having surgery the next morning @5 am children’s Vanderbilt they didn’t care if we got parked or knew where our room was at. The unit in our room wouldn’t stay cold.

We spent three nights here after being at two other hotels during a 10 day ice storm freeze out from our home. The first two nights we got a great rate on Booking.com. We were thrilled to be there. Loved having food on property. The first night we had a good deal, but then the third night we really needed a decent rate and it went sky high for us as it was our last night before we got our power

The property was very nice! I didn’t like the fact that my room key was canceled because of an incidental charge that no one told me or contacted me about! I couldn’t get in my room because the card was not working! I went to the front desk to let them know but they told me someone must have the door locked but it wasn’t! The only way I got in the room was to knock for my wife to open the door! The other incident was that my son tried to get in the room with no success at about 245 Sunday morning and he couldn’t get in! My wife and I were sleeping and we didn’t hear him knocking or calling our phones! I woke up around 430 am to see that he wasn’t in the room! I called him and that’s when he told me he couldn’t get in because the door card wasn’t working! I called the front desk and informed them about my son not being able to get in and that’s when I was told about a incidental charge that I wasn’t charged and a credit card number that wasn’t mine! I got up at 445 am and went down to the front desk to give them my credit card so he could charge this incidental charge so we could get another key card so we could get in our room! When we checked out that morning I told the front desk about it and all I got was a I’m sorry that didn’t suppose to happen! I was very displeased with this situation and I wish that the company could address this with front desk so it won’t happen to anyone else! I’m thankful that everything worked out like it did but I’m still displeased!

During my stay at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt, I found the Staff to be extremely welcoming and helpful throughout my entire stay. The facility provided optimal room and dining accommodations all while being located in a Prime part of Nashville proper. The neighborhood around the proper is extremely family friendly, featuring numerous restaurants, parks, and museums. I while definitely recommend staying at this location upon your next visit to Nashville.

Good location, friendly staff, great places to eat close by. Valet parking is ridiculous! We were in Nashville for our son's surgery so only at the hotel to sleep and had to pay $120 for valet parking plus tips for them to get out car and park it twice.

This was my first time in Nashville and staying at this hotel. The receptionist who attended to us at the counter, Khoi, was exceptionally friendly and sweet. He made our stay extra special. The staff at this location was EXCEPTIONAL. Very kind, very welcoming, and the room service staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

This is a nice, mid-level hotel. Front staff, cleaning crew, and the valets were all wonderful. We did have a drink in the inside bar as well--I wouldn't recommend as their bartender was not approachable, and the specialty drinks were not balanced well at all. The rest of the hotel was great, and it's in a great spot to walk to several restaurants and bars as well as Centennial Park and Vanderbilt.
- 1.5/5
Location was good. No parking, which forces people to use the valet at $54.00 a day. They also charge you $150.00 for "incidentals" but 5 days later the hotel still has a hold on the money

Property was nice /clean. I believe only parking option is valet. It was a cute teachable moment for my son who believed i gave my keys to a stranger and we werent going to get it back. The mini fridge is very small. The shower was nice with a detachable nozzell and the water pressure was good. There is a couch side table very convenient to eat at. There is a stadium next door and they had a game so it was noisy til about 930. Staff was nice would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Convenient but don’t like the parking fee. It’s too much for sure. GD

Unfortunately, when we got to the second hotel, we learned no reservation had ever been made for us. It took over an hour for the staff there to finally find a room. After a long day of travel, this was stressful, frustrating, and completely unacceptable.
- 4/5
Clean great location

Nice hotel, close to Vanderbilt Univ. and other venues. The overnight valet is $62.00. A bit overpriced.
- 5/5
We always come to this hotel and with our pup! Love the location - $7 uber ride to Broadway. Quiet and hotel is clean and offers great food options. Starbucks right next to hotel and PF changs.

The staff was superb and went far beyond the norm to ensure our needs were met!
- 5/5
Nice location. Clean rooms.

I was charged twice for a room . After I got home and discovered, I called hotel and they did correct it. Having to pay 50.00 for mandatory Valet parking was not good! They also charged me twice for parking . It was also correct or at least I was told it would be . I’ll have to wait and see if the charges are removed from my credit card. We have used this Hotel numerous times over the years, but I will not stay here again. Very disappointing especially since it is a very good location .
- 5/5
It was a great stay. The hotel staff was accommodating and eased my concern with my valet issues at precious Marriott properties. The location was perfect for my visit.
- 5/5
Arrived and walked in. We had reservations but by this point it was 1130 and we didn't have any options. We were going to try and make the best of it. Unfortunately, upon entering our other hotel room, we knew we had to get out. So at 4 in the morning, I called our family that lives in Nashville to see if we could somehow stay there until we could get in to another hotel. I made the reservation here and called the hotel and they were beyond kind. They said for a fee, if a room was ready. I could pay for an early Check-in. Upon arriving, our room was not yet clean. But they put a rush on it and waved the Check-in fee after hearing our ordeal. They offered vouchers towards breakfast and dinner. They gave us a room that had access to a lounge with free amenities. The staff was kind understanding and went above and beyond to be helpful. They saw 2 parents who had been up for over 24 hours trying to make sure that their kids were safe in a spot that was clean and healthy and managing to get a family of 4 ready for an event in an hour's time. To say that the staff of this hotel saved our trip would be spot on. The hotel is clean has several amenities and several restaurants and sites within walking distance. If you ever find yourself in the national area, this is a great centrally located hotel with amazing staff.
- 3/5
Marriott, do better. I didn’t pay $275 a night to park my car on a narrow street under construction.
- 5/5
The mandatory valet parking is nice but pretty pricey at $60 a day! The valet guys are super nice and quick, and you can request your car from your phone so we rarely waited longer than a minute for our car. We would stay here again!
- 4/5
Pleasantly surprised. Even though check in was inconvenient, the clerk tried her best to make up for the inconvenience. Nice bathroom, shower. Bed was comfortable. Towels could've been a little thicker, but they were fine. Close to hospital and many restaurants

- 5/5
Hotel and room were very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
We stayed only 1 night to drop our daughter to Vanderbilt summer program. I think they gave us the worst room ever - on the 3rd floor overlooking the roof with sever A/Cs that were working entire night making pretty loud and annoying sound. The hotel was definitely not full so I am not sure why we got this room but I need to come back to Nashville in 2 weeks and I will not stay in this hotel just to avoid getting a room where I cannot sleep due to loud noise. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and have a great location if you need to be close to Vanderbilt. They don’t have parking, and valet is $52 per night.

There was no clear communication or understanding of the staff for parking when we checked in. The shower leaked thru the wall and was puddling in the floor in the bedroom. The towel rack was falling off. One of the tables in the bedroom had a broken leg and was leaning. They are pet friendly, but have no area for you to walk your pet. Unless you are willing to cross a 6 lane road and go to Centenial park. This is fine during the day, but at night there are no lights in the park and there are homeless living there.

Despite informing the hotel of our engagement, no acknowledgment or gesture was made to celebrate the occasion. Additionally, our check-in experience was frustrating. We arrived at 1:57 PM, only three minutes before the standard check-in time, yet the front desk agent insisted we wait until exactly 2 PM. After stepping away for a brief 2 minutes, we were finally allowed to check in—this felt unnecessarily rigid and frustrating. Our room was also disappointing, with a view of a flat roof filled with loud ventilation equipment that buzzed constantly. This was not communicated in advance, nor was the fact that parking was valet-only and chargeable. On top of this, we had to call reception multiple times for valet service, and on one morning, we waited 30 minutes for our car. The stay was further disrupted by loud arguments from other guests in the hallways on both nights, which disturbed our rest. Overall, this experience fell far below our expectations, especially considering we were celebrating such an important occasion. I would appreciate a response and an acknowledgment of these issues.

The hotel was amazing! Very clean and all the staff was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were fantastic, clean, and with an incredible view of the Vandy football field, which made the kids' day. We had also asked for a quiet room, on New Year's Eve, and the room did not disappoint. We had actually moved from another Nashville hotel, which was absurdly loud, and slept great at the Mariott. Fantastic experience overall.

My daughter and I stayed here while my husband was in the hospital. Upon arrival, the smell of sewer in the lobby and main areas nearly took our. breathe away. It was overwhelming. Thankfully the room did not have the strong odor. The sewer odor was still very much there at check out the next day. Had we not been so tired, we would have gone somewhere else, but we are lifetime platinum elite members and this property was convenient in proximity. Room was comfortable and quiet. The front desk originally sent us to wrong room as well and we had to go back down to the desk with all of our belongings which was a little tasking after being so tired and just wanting to settle in with showers and a good nights sleep. We requested 2 queens and were sent to a king room. On our profile, it states no feather due to health issues. All but one of the pillows were feather. I had to call for replacements to be delivered before we could go to bed. M Club was mediocre but clean.

I received the best customer service and kindness I have ever had at the check in desk with Aarushi. She immediately made us feel welcome and also gave us such a lovely birthday surprise in the room. She is such an asset to your team and I as long as she is there, I will continue to stay at Marriott at Vanderbilt for every Nashville trip. Please give her a big thank you! She helped set the tone for an amazing weekend.

The receptionist at night was also very unusually misinformed about the hotel and the facilities, giving me many wrong information - never apologized. $50 for valet is also outrageous. Definitely not staying there again.

Proximity to football field was awesome!

Walkable to Vanderbilt is the major plus. Did not get the king bed we had reserved. Shuttle would not answer phone after he told us to call him back 30 minutes before we needed him. Desk people were very helpful. Beds comfortable. Carpet in halls super dirty.

Awesome place to stay if you are in town for a football game!

We will be back. This Marriott is well located and does a great job with service.

We loved being across from Centennial Park & the Parthenon - much nicer than noisy DT! Our room was spacious & quiet (except for during the football game which is expected but it was great to see excited fans and get a home team win!). Huge shout out to the Valet team. They are kind and courteous and super helpful! We loved the free shuttle service provided by those guys.

Overall- fine. Self- parking was a bit obscure- signage would improve. Should have recycling available, and composting in the concierge lounge

I would have reviewed this property higher if not for the fact that I have been trying to speak to someone there since the hour after I checked out and it is evidently impossible. My husband left shirts in the closet. Multiple emails (including responses to THEIR emails to me asking about my stay, calls to the hotel, nothing here a response. The property is completely adequate but I won’t stay there again.

The room was pretty dirty and run down, but the bed was very comfortable.

Reception when we checked in was horrible. Lots of attotude, talked down to us, when we gave her Marriott # she acted annoyed we were elite members. "Upgraded" us to a dirty, old room that didn't face the stadium like I asked for 3 times and had a nasty bathroom with hairs all over it and the sheets of the bed did, too. I've stayed many times as I work at Vanderbilt in cancer reseaech. Probably will not come back now.
