Reviews
The Archer Hotel in NYC is highly praised for its excellent staff, central location, and comfortable beds. Guests frequently mention the convenient access to nearby attractions, friendly service, and cleanliness of the hotel. However, a common complaint is the small size of the rooms.
- Excellent staff and service
- Central location with easy access to attractions
- Small room size
- Inconsistent room views and availability of amenities
- 5/5
Staff is helpful and spot on with service. Bed was Devine and location was perfect.
- 4/5
Service was good. Breakfast was medicore. The bacon was fatty and limp. Eggs were cold. The potatoes was really a hashbrown like from McDonalds.
- 4.5/5
The best thing was the location and that our room was so quiet we had no trouble sleeping. Really helpful and friendly on the front desk. The Sky Bar staff were a little dismissive and not very welcoming
- 5/5
First time here, but likely not the last. Travel a lot and this hotel had the most comfortable bed and pillows that I can remember. Will be back when in Manhattan.
- 5/5
Clean, great location. Rooms are not huge but the ceilings are very high so it makes it feel much more open.
- 3.5/5
The industrial style Tiny tiny room
- 5/5
Very nice hotel in a great location. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the property and the kindness of all the staff. From check-in to departure it was wonderful.
- 5/5
Good hotel with great views of the Empire State Building!
- 3/5
The rooms are extremely small and make luggage in the room complicated. My parents also had a room and the configuration of their room you couldn’t even open the bathroom door or close if someone was going out of the front door. I know it’s NYC and space is limited but it made for a frustrating time when trying to get things from the suitcases.
- 5/5
Love it, second time over there and we will be back soon!
- 3.5/5
Location Rooms were very small. Our room on the 2nd floor overlooked AC units that n rooftop of building next door. Not what I was expecting for $600/night.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
We stayed there for 4 nights and had an all around wonderful experience! Will stay there again in the future!
- 5/5
The room was clean with a good sized bathroom. The view from the Empire view room is well worth the upgrade and the rooftop bar is even better. Great for couples and close to many attractions.

Superb
- 5/5
Felt so comfortable and safe at the hotel which is very important while travelling on my own.
- 5/5
The room was always immaculate had all the amenities and so much more. We celebrated our anniversary and we were given a bottle of prosecco, which was very special. Another wonderful touch was coming home after a long day to a sweet treat, left in our room - lovely touch! The hotel was so well positioned, around the corner from the wonderful Bryant Park, 5th Ave and fabulous restaurants and grocery stores. The hotel breakfast was top notch! Room could;ve been a little bigger but not a big deal
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
Excellent location and very helpful staff. The rooftop bar is amazing!
- 4/5
Great staff - good location - roof top car very cool. Room was small (called a king suite) - ideally water should be supplied every day - lovely daily sweet treats were cute….
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
The Archer was the perfect central location with for us. The view of the Eiffel Tower from our room and the roof top bar was AMAZING! The staff was all very friendly and helpful! Special thanks to Rico for the VIP treatment on our last night!
- 5/5
Great staff nice location and clean room!
- 5/5
FABULOUS boutique hotel! Great location! Super clean, small bar on first floor and one on rooftop as well. Room was clean and spacious (for NYC). Most of the staff was very helpful, however, we asked one person about a taxi when it was pouring out and she told us to go to the corner to hail one. Overall, fantastic stay-highly recommend!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel. The staff was fantastic and went above and beyond. Very clean with comfortable beds. We will stay here again!!
- 5/5
The entire experience was exceptional but what was most outstanding for me was the professionalism and warmth of the staff.
- 4/5
I didn’t eat at the hotel but from what I witnessed the food looked really good too.
- 5/5
Great location. Rooms on the small side but clean and well maintained. Rooftop bar has fantastic view!
- 5/5
What an amazing staff. They went above and beyond from the time we checked in to the time we left. Our next trip to NYC we won’t even consider staying somewhere else. Excellent location, very clean, comfortable beds and amazing staff. What else could anyone ask for.
- 5/5
Clean and great location.
- 5/5
Property is clean and the bed slept amazing
- 5/5
The room was lovely. Comfortable bed, beautiful view. It was well supplied with Nespresso coffee maker, all supplies need to make coffee. They replenished supplies and we very attentive. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast. Food was disappointing. Hash brown was soaked in oil and a steak knife would be needed to cut it. It was inedible. That was a surprise, not in a good way. Service was lovely. We only ate there once.... and warned another patron before leaving.

Loved the coffeemaker in the room. Breakfast at the hotel would have been nice, especially on the rooftop terrace The room could have been bigger for 3 adults, but it was still really great

- 5/5
Love this hotel! Rooftop bar with view of the Empire State Building is awesome!
- 5/5
Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Nothing.
- 5/5
It's in the midtown manhattan, but it's a very quiet hotel. Not many tourist live in the hotel, most of them are business people
- 5/5
Room comfortable and quiet - restaurant is good and they are nice to you there. Entrance and lobby nothing special.

- 2/5
The Wash, Shampoo & Conditioner smells bad, I would expect more for 4 stars hotel with that price.
- 5/5
The room was lovely and very comfortable. Nice bath products and good water pressure. The staff was terrific and we were delighted by the treat left in the room at the end of each day - the caramels were amazing!! The view from the rooftop was incredible & the location was convenient. We’d definitely stay at the Archer again.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast was nice! Some of the staff were LOVELY, others not so much.
- 5/5
Very cool.
- 5/5
The Staff, room cleanliness and service were excellent. Room was small but that’s NYC!
- 5/5
Very centrally located close to the Bryant Park area, close to dining, sights and Broadway. Walkable from Penn Station and Grand Central. The hotel was comfortable and the staff was helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the Archer.
- 5/5
Everything as always was wonderful. A great location, nice clean room and great staff who go above and beyond. Our go to when we are in the city!
- 5/5
A bit
- 5/5
It was very trendy and easy to find places outside from here. Nothing. All good
- 4/5
Room is on the smaller side but it is very nice and clean. Will get the job done, especially staying in Midtown Manhattan. Great spot to eat up on the roof with great views. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Excellent location - very central, comfortable stay, lot’s to do around - breakfast, dining, museums, shows, sightseeing. We loved our stay at the Archer.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely accommodating, I had help from Kyra, Ericka, and more people at the front desk who were kind and accommodating to my family and I during our stay. They also assisted in helping with an additional booking for one of my rooms to extend my stay. Pro tip: If you book directly with their hotel they provide a nice welcome credit to dine at their restaurant or rooftop. Their rooftop was also amazing and breathtaking. The bartenders and servers were extremely attentive and kind. I will definitely be staying again when I am back in town for the theater, it was such an easy walk to the Broadway show I attended. Super close to times Square, Bryant Park and Macy's.
- 5/5
Fabulous boutique hotel. Definitely would stay there again.
- 5/5
Excellent location in midtown Manhattan - close to sights, restaurants, shows. We enjoyed our stay at the Archer.
- 4/5
Great location!! Room was clean and comfy beds.
- 5/5
Incredible view from the rooftop bar
- 5/5
The hotel staff was accommodating and the location was super convenient!
- 5/5
The rooftop bar is a real gem. Magnificent views and good food
- 5/5
Friendly staff, wonderful room, delicious breakfast, great location!
- 3/5
This place touts itself as a boutique hotel. I do not agree. Not for what they are charging per accommodation. Maybe on the lower end of the scale of those in the boutique hotel arena. It’s average and the professional property photos don’t reflect the vibe of the hotel whatsoever. It’s absolutely misleading with the exposed brick. From the decor to the amenities… it’s just ok. Not bad, not amazing. Honestly you could stay in any of the other local hotels for hundreds less and it would be the exact same experience. Despite what you may have read, while the hotel has a restaurant, they do not offer room service which is super odd and inconvenient for what the rooms cost. I paid extra for a city view for my daughter’s birthday, and the windows were so dirty you could barely see out of them. Additionally, our bathroom sink leaked the entire time we were there. We’re talking leaking so bad there was water from the sink onto the floor. There was no way housekeeping didn’t notice. We reported it. Lastly, the beds are unbelievably lumpy and uncomfortable and the pillows are so flat, even if when doubled up you were still laying flat. As a NYer, I probably won’t return. There are so many better choices that provide a more elevated boutique experience.
- 5/5
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was small but spotless and very quiet. Only complaint is the barn door to the bathroom was quite heavy to shift.
- 5/5
We liked how central this hotel is. We drove to New York and this hotel has a paid parking lot across the street, which is rare in New York. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff! Well planned room with under the bed storage for luggage. Great location. Nice beds and quiet room. Loved it.
- 5/5
Rooftop experience was great
- 5/5
The staff were very welcoming! When I arrived, my room wasn’t ready. The young lady at the front desk was very polite and offered me a seat. When my key was ready, she brought it to me. The room was a decent size - I loved the bathroom. My only gripe was the way the water was coming out of the shower head. It kind of made a mess but I really had a great stay overall. I’ll be back!
- 5/5
Great location conveniently located near lots of great restaurants and Broadway. Very helpful staff. Very clean. Would definitely come back.
- 5/5
I was there for a brief visit and everything met my expectations
- 4/5
Very friendly staff. Great lobby area, free water and coffee. Rooms very small, had to remind staff to refill coffee items.
- 3/5
Food and drinks were ok. Staff very nice and professional
- 5/5
Overall, it is a good place to stay, with a convenient location and friendly staff. The only downside is that the rooms are too small.
- 5/5
Great location with clean rooms and helpful staff. Our room was tiny, but understandable for NY.
- 5/5
No gym but great views snd friendly staff!
- 5/5
Greeted upon entry. Everything was clean. Lots of options and amenities. Cute rooftop bar. Coffee bar in lobby.
- 4/5
Unfortunately, my room was next to an elevator and the noise was constant through day and night.
- 4/5
Great location!
- 5/5
Wonderful location and staff, rooftop bar has an amazing view of the Empire State Building. Room was quite small but clean. Will be staying there again on our next visit. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Wonderful, will come back
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in the heart of NYC! Walking distance to Bryant Park, Times Square, restaurants, bars and entertainment! I chose this hotel for the rooftop bar in particular and it did not disappoint! Staff was exceptionally courtious and my breakfast was great. I would stay here again with zero hesitation!
- 4/5
Great hotel in a great location! The room was a little small, but nice. The rooftop bar was a little disappointing as it was very expensive and very small
- 5/5
great location
- 3/5
Very compact, small hotel. Clean room, nice decor, but the size of a closet. Just enough room for the bed. My reservation request for a room *not near the elevator was completely ignored. Elevator was literally 3 steps from the door. Noisy hallway and no sound proofing. Download a white noise app on your phone if you stay here. Also, if you have your “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door for more than 24 hrs they will do a wellness check and you have to sign a document agreeing to it. Never heard of that at a hotel before. Makes me wonder what’s happened there in the past to have that policy. No valet or garage for parking. There is a parking garage a block away that they have a discount rate with. The rooftop bar has a stunning view of the Empire State Building.
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 5/5
Great stay and quiet on the 6th floor
- 5/5
Great location, close to transit, friendly desk staff
- 5/5
fantastic staff
- 5/5
Everything about our stay here was perfect! That staff were so nice. I've seen people complain about room size but for NYC I thought it was great!! It was the perfect area to be close to everything. From the upper east side to soho, we were close to it all! Great great trip! Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Room and staff were great. Our view was outstanding, rooms clean. Only complaint is the restaurant, very limited seating and the food/service were not good. Especially breakfast. The rest was great, perfect location as well! Overall, we enjoyed!
- 5/5
Clean room. HVAC system was loud. Overall, a decent stay.
- 5/5
Short break
- 5/5
Great location, helpful staff, quiet
- 5/5
Excellent location and very comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. Staff were attentive and helpful. Love the cafe on the ground floor as well as the rooftop bar. Will stay here again when we next visit NYC!
- 5/5
Great location and views of Empire State Building!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Small enough to feel friendly. Irish pub over the road and Pio Bagels round the corner on 36th for breakfast. Subway 5 minutes away as is Times Square. We had a double double Empire State view room which was fine. Not huge but big enough with a well appointed bathroom. Try the salted caramel candy!
- 5/5
Safe area/shopping closeby/convenient to Grand Central.
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
It was ok. The hotel staff were great, the location was great. The rooms were small even by NYC standards, and the spy glass rooftop bar was sad.
- 5/5
Yeah rooms great and staff friendly in the bar and at reception
- 5/5
Room, staff, lobby, food all tremendous. 10/10
- 5/5
Great overall
- 5/5
The location was excellent and the staff was so helpful. Every time we reached out with a request, they were quick to assist us. Rooms were also very clean!
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable. Great location
- 5/5
Loved the location, friendly staff and quiet room.
- 5/5
My 2nd stay here, and both times were great. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a location that really fits my needs when I go to Manhattan.
- 5/5
Staff, room, location and hotel all great. 10/10
- 5/5
The front desk staff members were all very welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond when we asked for recommendations. The view of the Empire State Building from our room was fabulous, and the location was great for walking to favorite attractions.
- 4/5
Was clean and friendly hotel. Conveniently located to downtow. Skytop bar had a great view of the empire state building.

- 5/5
The whole stay was great. Check in was exceptional and I was able the host at the desk was terrific and professional and I was able to check in early. Room was spotless/clean. Location was wonderful for the events I was going to this weekend.
- 5/5
I spent 3 nights at Archer Hotel New York and my entire stay was wonderful! A++ The room was spotless, modern, updated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was large and bright, with excellent hot water (which is not always the case in NYC hotels). The hotel staff were all so friendly and helpful and were able to get me into my room 3 hours ahead of check-in time. The location is perfect, very central and the hotel itself is situated in the middle of the block and was exceptionally quiet at night. I will definitely stay at Archer New York next time I'm in town. Thank you so much for the great stay!!
- 1/5
One room did not have heat, I had to move rooms, then there was no hot water one day. Horrible hotel will never go back
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful, room was ready early and the food was delicious!
- 4/5
Room was tight but we enjoyed the luxurious bathroom. The bar was good too.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. And great location!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room and bathroom, nespresso machine. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Excellent stay and experience
- 5/5
Great time - Nice property
- 5/5
What an unforgettable stay! The view alone is worth booking this hotel — going to sleep, and waking up to a breathtaking, postcard-perfect view of the Empire State Building was the stuff of dreams. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the staff. Every interaction was friendly and genuine, and the service felt effortlessly thoughtful. A special mention goes to the lovely young man who checked us in — welcoming, professional, and an absolute pleasure — and an equally wonderful young man who kindly held our cases after checkout. He was an absolute gem and made our last moments in the city completely stress-free. A hotel with a view and heart — we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
- 5/5
All of the above. We always stay at the Archer when we come to NYC. And look for the Archer hotels whenever we travel. The staff is fantastic and the rooms are always clean with all of the necessary amenities and so much more.
- 5/5
Clean, cute and greet location! Love how boutique NYC hotels have such efficient little rooms. Bed and pillows were amazing!
- 5/5
Service was excellent!
- 5/5
Our New Year trip was fantastic, the hotel location in midtown was perfect for seeing the sights. Easy walking distance from Bryant park area , Times Square and a bit further Central Park . The subway was also close by for exploring more of Manhattan .
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff, big room and bath, excellent location!
- 5/5
Great location for seeing lots of the main attractions. Nice room bit small, probably worth upgrading to a bigger room if you are staying for more than a few days. Great breakfast at the hotel which set us up for the day.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff. Easy checked in.
- 5/5
Fresh. Impressive.
- 5/5
Clean, updated room, very comfortable, excellent staff, good location
- 5/5
Room was small, but well appointed. It was clean, comfortable and in a great location. Had a great view of the empire state building.
- 5/5
We loved staying here, everyone was so nice and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
- 5/5
Great location!!
- 5/5
The small hotel has a super location close to everything. It was clean, nicely decorated and the breakfast was great. My only complaint is that the room was tiny.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and welcoming. Amazing staff and everyone was so helpful. Great location and easy access to a lot of things in the city.
- 5/5
Breakfast at Skybar was top tier. Menu concise and straight forward. Very flavorful.
- 5/5
The room was lovely, staff very helpful. Also a great location
- 5/5
Highest recommendation for archer Hotel. The staff was so genuinely kind. The hotel itself is located in a great location and our room with the view of the Empire State Building was remarkable. The hotel bar also has an excellent view.
- 5/5
Room was great and the staff were excellent. Especially the very nice man who checked us in on Sunday
- 4/5
It was nice
- 5/5
So convenient to all the holiday activities! Staff was super nice and the treats at turn down was lovely!
- 5/5
Everyone was friendly and professional and responsive to requests
- 4/5
This was our 3rd stay. The first time a few years ago was excellent. I would say now that the property is showing some wear and over all not the giving a super clean vibe. It is good for a casual stay but it is not quite the gem is used to be. The front desk staff are still very attentive and kind- just over all not giving the experience for the price point.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, especially Joseph. Clean. Comfortable beds. Great location.
- 2/5
Hated it, I realized it’s an nyc hotel so I’m not expecting a large room but so small cramped, will never stay here again.
- 5/5
Yes and yes
- 3/5
Rooms are very small, water pressure on the bathroom faucet was absurdly high, and the overall finish in the room was lacing. Service was fine. Location was convenient. Price was disproportionately higher than quality level.
- 5/5
Nice location, beautiful hotel. Rooms are nice and clean. I’d stay here again , recommend it. Nice rooftop bar with good view , food and rinks
- 5/5
The rooftop bar has a beautiful view and a good selection of wine.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Small room but very comfy and great location
- 4/5
Housekeeping was great, attentive.
- 5/5
Great staff.
- 4/5
Very clean and great staff!
- 4/5
Bring a mini flashlight, some parts of the room not well lit. bathroom is well lit. There was no chair in the room so I asked for one and they brought it right up. Hard to sit on the edge of slightly high bed for everything. There is a nespresso espresso maker as a coffee maker, there are 3 different color pods, no clue what each color means. black one is the strongest after some research. I had trouble with the TV, you have to sign into your apps, there is a lot of free TV, it just took me till night 2 to discover it. I requested a microwave. the rooms are small but I like that, except for the no chair. there's room under bed for suitcase. staff and maintenance very nice. no need to bring phone charger cable, they have 2 sizes and 2 jacks connected to wires coming out of the phone that you can plug into your phone. slow charging, if you bring one bring adaptor plug also, I didn't see any usb slots.
- 5/5
Excellent location and accommodation's. The staff was super nice and very knowledgeable of the area.
- 5/5
Excellent staff , amazing rooftop with nice views and atmosphere, the room was great and clean, services are excellent too
- 5/5
Our room was clean and spotless. The staff from check in through our entire stay were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast lunch and dinner options. Overall exceptional stay and would return. Excellent value and well located
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was very courteous and helpful, it was a quiet stay and we slept well. Price felt steep, but we got reservations pretty late around Thanksgiving so it’s to be expected and it was well worth it for a decent place to stay in NYC. Would come back again!
- 5/5
This is a beautiful boutique hotel with excellent staff! Everyone was so nice and accommodating:) The location is wonderful, walking distance to almost everything!! I would highly recommend this hotel!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Convenient location, walkable to Time square and Empire State Building if you’re there to sight see.
- 5/5
We had dinner at the bar one evening after a long day, and the food was delicious. But the highlight of our stay was BRIAN. We were heading out on Thanksgiving Day and needed help navigating the exit to avoid the parade traffic. As we were walking out, Brian appeared, asked if we needed assistance, called us a cab, grabbed our luggage, and even walked us up to Madison Avenue to meet our taxi! Archer—you’ve got a gem of a guy on your hands. Brian—your heart of service shined so brightly!
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing!

- 5/5

- 5/5

- 5/5
Good Hotel, kind and warm hearted staff. Good location!
- 5/5
Transportation, directions, recommendations, etc. Good food ( one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had! ), clean hotel, great location. Room was small but NYC!
- 5/5
Great service, clean, nice bed.
- 5/5
Brian was fantastic as a concierge

- 5/5
The breakfast was delicious and an ample portion. Room was clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Room was a little tight for three people, otherwise all good.
- 5/5
We had a lovely stay at the Archer Hotel New York. I’ve stayed here once before and it was my Mum’s first time. She was really surprised at how nice it was. It’s very central, perfectly located to go either up or downtown. There are a couple of subway stations very close by and you can easily walk to sights like Rockerfeller Centre or the Empire State Building, as well as shopping on 5th Avenue and at Times Square. The room itself was well appointed - they’re small, yet have everything you’d need. The beds and pillows, especially, were really comfortable. It was great to have a spacious and powerful hot shower. We loved the little treats you get at the end of the day. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I’d stay here again any day of the week.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, Great location
- 5/5
We felt safe on and around the property. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend the Archer. Hope to be back again in the future.
- 5/5
Nice room, albeit small - which is typical for NYC. Rooftop bar was nice, but it was a rainy day so we didn't get to fully enjoy. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
I wish the rooftop bar was more of a lounge than a sit-down restaurant. The rooms are also very very very tiny. It did the job but for the price it was hard to get ready. The shower also flooded the bathroom every time we used it, we tried everything to not have it flood but it always did. The staff were very friendly and attentive though.
- 5/5
Great spot. Staff great - views even better. Had a great time in the Big Apple.
- 5/5
Classy hotel. Nice staff.
- 3/5
Nice hotel, very small rooms. Rooftop bar closed until 9pm for event, ground level outdoor patio closed for event - not worth paying for amenities that you can’t use
- 5/5
We could have spent less at another hotel with similar amenities, but I am glad we chose The Archer because the staff were phenomenal.

The front desk staff were very friendly and had answers for all of my questions. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.
- 4/5
Loved this very centrally located hotel
- 5/5
Will definitely book again!
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean and staff was excellent. The only complaint is that the room was very small.
- 5/5
I would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable room and excellent service. Best bathroom vanity lighting I’ve ever experienced.
- 5/5
Great location. Cute rooms. Empire view room has an incredible view.
- 5/5
Nice hotel - Very friendly staff and a great view of the Empire State Building.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent and overall great experience
- 5/5
Nice hotel, small but cute room, clean, very close to time square and shopping centers and subway
- 5/5
The hotel was in the perfect location. It is accessible to all of the train lines and Bryant Park. There is also an awesome rooftop bar with the most perfect view of the empire state building. The rooms are small, but well appointed. Book it!
- 5/5
Great time and amazing view of empire state building
- 5/5
Lovely staff, set in a great location.
- 5/5
I discovered the Archer hotel from my husband who made trips to the Falls Church Mosaic District while his brother was sick. The Archer is a great chain hotel. Rooms are clean and properties in a great location. The front desk staff is outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel group.
- 5/5
I will definitely stay at the Archer hotel again. It is clean, excellent location, helpful staff, and great bars!
- 5/5
This is my second time at Archer Hotel. Hotel is very clean, staff is very nice and helpful. Drinks at bar in lobby are delicious!! Definitely will stay again!!
- 5/5
Small room but location great. Great rooftop bar as well as lobby facilities. Loved the lounge area outside to sit and relax.
- 4/5

- 5/5

- 5/5
Excellent hotel - very friendly and professional staff- loved the spyglass
- 5/5
Situâtes in Midtown..: Nice!
- 5/5

😊
- 5/5
The hotel was great, the staff was amazing. Room are on the small size, however the location and accommodations are great. They also have a great roof top with excellent food and bar service.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The room was great, very clean. The hotel is in an excellent location. My only negative was a particular staff member at the Spyglass rooftop bar. Bartender and one of the female servers was great, very nice she kept checking on us as if to make up for the other one's behavior. The other had an attitude with most people. She basically threw the menus at us,never said one word. We seated ourselves since no one seated us it was first come first serve and very crowded, most people struggled to find a seat even though we had a reservation. We grabbed a table once another party left as we had seen others do. Server said nothing just glared at us and everyone else pretty much. Not someone who should be working in customer service in my opinion. As we were leaving her phony fake glare/ smile was unnerving. It's really a shame as the view was wonderous and everyone else was so nice including the other guests.
- 4/5
Great hotel, great location. Just be prepared for how tiny the rooms are! View over the Empire State Building was cool.
- 4/5
Views from Spyglass Rooftop Bar are 10/10. Well-appointed rooms and a convenient location in the Garment District.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice. The people were very friendly. Only thing was the carpet felt gross and dirty.
- 5/5
This is my third year staying at this hotel for my NY travels and it does not disappoint. The staff is always welcoming and do their best to accommodate your requests. I always appreciate that.
- 5/5
The room itself is on the smaller side, but it has so many positives. There’s a Nespresso machine with good coffee, and since we’re real coffee lovers, the staff even brought us extra pods when we asked. The bed is very comfortable, with high-quality linens, pillows, duvets, towels, and robes — everything felt soft and luxurious. The toiletries were surprisingly good too, not the cheap kind you often find. The shampoo and conditioner worked well, so I didn’t need to use my own products, which was a pleasant surprise. The room had a decent view, and the window could be opened slightly for fresh air — something I really value, as it keeps the air from feeling too dry. The air conditioning worked quietly and didn’t blow directly at the bed, which made sleeping very comfortable. As guests who are very particular about comfort, we truly appreciated these details. There’s also a rooftop bar with a fantastic view of the Empire State Building, perfect for both mornings and evenings. At the entrance, you can find complim

Good stay. Nothing overly exciting, quite small (but it is NY) but no complaints. Centrally located, surprisingly quiet in the room, convenient.
- 5/5
Great spot near, but not in mid-town. Great dining options close by and close walk to everything.
- 5/5
Everything was great, except the air conditioning. So loud and forceful. Too big for the size of the room and cycled constantly.
- 5/5
This is our favorite hotel in NYC. We are frequent guests. Lovely staff. Beautiful amenities. Great rooftop bar. Rooms are small but immaculate. Five stars all the way.
- 5/5
Love it here!!
- 5/5
Fantastic
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay, great staff, i love the spy bar! Only negative was someone kept opening and slamming doors shut on our floor. it was very annoying.
- 5/5
Was excellent, room very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Perfect stay. No complaints. Very much on the posh end. I'll definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Everyone was so nice and would def stay again
- 4/5
did not enjoy restaurant.
- 4/5
There could be another trash can added to the room (the only one was in the bathroom). Also, the lighting isn’t great in the rooms we have stayed in. Not a deal breaker, though. Great hotel location!
- 5/5
This was a lovely boutique hotel in Mid-City Manhattan blocks from Times Square. 38th is pretty quiet in this area and Culture Espresso (amazing cookies!) is across the Street. We enjoyed the hotel and found it to be accessibl and convenient.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay at the Archer. The staff was very courteous and helpful: Noticing that I had my hands full, the duty manager rushed over to call the elevator for me; when it started to rain, the staff offered us umbrellas; during breakfast, the wait staff was polite and efficient. Overall experience was 5/5. I will pick the same hotel next time I visit NYC.
- 4/5
Staying at the Archer was a great experience. It's close to many major tourist attractions, the staff is very friendly, and even the hotel restaurant is good. I look forward to staying there again!
- 4/5
Byran took good care of us when we left. Arranged a cab for the airport and arranged to have our luggage stored on our last day.
- 5/5
It's a lovely boutique hotel that is well located. It's quiet, has great AC and water pressure, and is very clean. The rooms are well-appointed. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Everything was great except the hall way noise throughout the night.
- 5/5
5 stars :)
- 5/5
The hotel is in very good location. Right in the center of the city. The build itself look a bit old. Rooms are very small. Very friendly staff. Overall my daughter and I enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
Friendly staff but small rooms and minimum noise proofing.
- 5/5
Came for one night for a bday staycation. Reception was efficient and friendly. I found the bedroom a bit small but the bathroom was spacious. The SpyGlass rooftop has a fantastic view of the Empire State building. I didn't have any food or drink, but enjoyed the roof. Also the location -- essentially between the east and west side of the city, was great. Close to Broadway and great shopping.
- 5/5
Beautiful room - beautiful view
- 4/5
Rooms was great just very SMALL rooms
- 5/5
Also coffee maker in the room! Due to warm weather I went to sit in Bryant park some evenings which was lovely.
- 5/5
The front desk is so kind and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable despite being a bit small. Still, the way the rooms are designed you don’t feel cramped. Great location too
- 5/5
Fabulous location and great service. Room was very clean.
- 5/5
As a New Yorker, Born and Raised. This was an amazing hotel with beautiful views from the room & rooftop! Everyone was very nice!
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel with a privileged location. The staff was wonderful and the cuisine was excellent. The comfort of the rooms was 10/10. The only downside was that the air conditioning didn’t cool enough, so we were a bit warm while sleeping.
- 5/5
Very convenient, friendly staff and clean property!
- 5/5
Always a great stay here at the Archer! Third stay in the past 6 months. look forward to being back in October.
- 5/5
The property is very clean, as was our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay here again!
- 5/5
Amazing place. Excellent location, convenient to all the activities midtown has to offer. Just 2 blocks from Bryant Park and subway access. Comfy, cozy bed, smart tv in room, Nespresso machine, awesome towels, modern and functional bathroom. And, despite being in the center of the city, the rooms are SILENT. No road/street noise whatsoever. Can't wait to stay again in the future.
- 4/5
The rooftop bar is stunning at night with a helpful and efficient team there. It's unfortunate it isn't open throughout the day. The rooms are showing a bit of wear - especially with the wall coverings as some of the wallpaper is peeling away from the walls in some areas. Not a huge deal but shows a lack of attention to detail to me. Friendly staff - the young lady who checked me in asked specifically how I enjoyed the shows I mentioned when I checked out a couple days later - a nice touch. While this isn't necessarily a 'boutique' hotel, it has the feel that it isn't one of the mega, chain hotels and that's a plus.
- 5/5
I had an excellent stay at the Archer Hotel in New York. From start to finish, the service was absolutely top-notch, friendly, attentive, and seamless throughout. The bed was honestly the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the pillows were just as perfect, I didn’t want to get up in the morning! It made all the difference after long days out in the city. I also tried the lunch meal deal and was really impressed, great value, and the burger was fantastic. Overall, a brilliant experience. I’d definitely return and highly recommend the Archer to anyone looking for comfort, service, and quality in Midtown Manhattan.

Not close
- 5/5
Loved the place!
- 5/5
We loved everything about our stay. From the minute we got there, the hotel staff was very accommodating. We asked for extra pillows and they brought it right up. We were especially appreciative that when we landed from our flight and got to the hotel at noon, long before check in time, that they had our room ready. The room was very clean, small but to be expected in nyc. The location was great, very walkable to the subway and Bryant park. We would return. Thank you.
- 4/5
The property is on the smaller side. It was clean and convenient to transportation. The room could have been a bit cleaner and it is extremely small. It overall a good experience. No issues.
- 5/5
Zero regrets choosing the Archer over the MANY other options. Some reviewers complained of the small room size - ignore those. I stayed 3 nights with my wife and it was plenty big. Location is great. Rooftop restaurant/bar was everything we hoped it would be and then some.
- 5/5
Clean central professional.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Perfect location. Friendly staff. Wonderful rooftop.
- 5/5
Great property in midtown! Clean, quiet and staff is amazing!
- 4/5
Love the staff, they are awesome. Thanks for the nightly treats. Great location, quiet for midtown NYC. All we needed was a second wastebasket in the room.
- 4/5
The hotel is very nice with a great location. Clean and friendly staff. However the rooms are small is the only thing. Everything else is fine.
- 5/5
The Archer Hotel is centrally located near Times Square, NYC Public Library, and other great sights. The staff was very friendly, greeting you as you entered and re-entered the space. The room was small, but clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the property and the staff
- 5/5
Beautiful place. Very very nice. Room was next to the elevator and it was a little noisy. Room was small but very well thought out. Immaculately clean. Bathroom was luxurious. Staff was awesome.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly, not overcrowded, pet friendly, beautiful roof top bar with Empire State Building as a view, nice restaurants and bar on site! The most comfortable bed and pillows and a very nice shampoo and conditioner and body wash! My favourite hotel near fifth Ave! Close to anywhere u would wanna go! I stayed there at least 6-7 times and will definitely be staying in the future
- 5/5
I got the best room in the place and a view better than what was on the website.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel kade soecial by wonderful staff. Room slightly smaller than expected but clever solutions for stowing luggage under bed make it manageable. Otherwise the facilities, views of empire state, spyglass rooftop bar, staff and cleanliness were top class. Thank you.
- 5/5
Wonderful design
- 4/5
Spyglass rooftop bar and first level lounges were great - good staff, great margaritas, and trendy vibe. Only negative was the tiny size of the rooms, but when out and about in the city doesn’t matter. Would stay again!
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean , rooms are in the small size like most in New york but very comfortable. Great bed … quiet We were in the 4th floor facing the street and could not here a thing. Has great amenities , great coffee in the room , toiletries and other little details like multiple size port to plug your electronics , a desk . A nice size small fridge . Fiji water no charge . The best view from the roof top bar!! Great location a block from bryant park and walkable to many main locations !! Great experience loved it !!
- 5/5
The archer was wonderful. Great location (going to msg for a basketball game) and the staff were absolutely lovely!!! Room was small (2 double beds) but well appointed and comfortable. Very quiet. Would stay again! Thank you archer staff for being lovely!

Very central location. Room very small, but fine for a one night stay. Was very quiet (was on the 14th floor).
- 5/5
Beds were comfortable. Great showers with hot water.
- 5/5
I loooved staying at this property. It was quiet, clean, I felt safe, and the views!! The view of the Empire State Building from my room and the bar was so, so amazing. Especially from the rooftop bar.
