citizenM New York Times Square

One of the wonderful things about a CitizenM is their amazing lobby! It's designed to be inviting, a place to congregate or a nice place to come take a load off after a long day. The living room style set up has books, work centers and a really nice bar where you can enjoy a nice tall drink. I book a CitizenM as often as I can. Check in is easy, you can do it all yourself but someone is always there in case you need help. The rooms are tiny, but you can get an ADA room that is bigger for those of us that are either too tall for a standard room or actually have a disability. I didn't try to the food, but people were ordering food at the bar and seemed to enjoy it. The Time Square location is excellent and near Train systems. I'll be back!

Really nice hotel in a very convenient location. There is a welcoming and warm feeling as soon as you walk in from the street, and that carries through to the restaurant, cafe, bar and rooms. The level of detail is high, with a cosy living room vibe in the main lobby, a functional gym space and a rooftop bar. Rooms are very functional and comfortable. Will come back.

The staff were very helpful, the atmosphere was very nice and welcoming and the room was very clean. The bed was super comfortable and the view was great. The lighting situation everything is controlled by the iPad so sometimes the light switches didn't work.

location was perfect for access to the 1 train to get uptown/downtown, very centrally located in Times Square. The main level of the hotel was very comfortable and a good place to hang - also the rooftop bar had good drinks and a great view! The room was quiet, you could not hear outside traffic from the street, and the large window was so nice for natural light and a view of the street below (blackout curtains were awesome though, too).

For a small space it was full of big amenities. Shower was great with amazing water pressure. The iPad control for the room was easy to use and so convenient. Literally steps from Broadway and the subway. Will definitely stay here again. 10/10

This was the best stay I've ever had in NYC. I loved the hotel, the location, the decor, and the carpet-free rooms, which was great since I have allergies. All of the staff were always very friendly and helpful, with a special shout-out to Grace. Grace is the definition of joie de vivre. The hotel has a cozy and vibrant atmosphere. They were also very flexible and allowed me a late check-out, which helped me out a lot. I will definitely stay at this hotel again!"

The room was clean but the mildew smell in the bathroom was overwhelming. The window shade got hung after the housekeeping staff had cleaned so maintenance did have to come stand on our bed and repair it. I'm not sure I will stay here again.

The staff was amazing. We were celebrating my daughter’s recent graduation from high school. I made her a handmade custom card and left some goodies for her in our room upon arrival. It made us feel really special. I do wish the computers in the mezzanine were a little more user-friendly though.

The place is “PERFECT” from all points of interest . The price reasonable. The rooms, although small ( can accommodate only 2) is well kept. Blackout curtains really helps. I couldn’t think of anything negative. We didn’t have a view but it all comes down to location, location, location because when you’re already tired touring the city, the thing you need the most is to be able to relax in the nearest place possible. And this is what this place “exactly” offers.

Though we had a quick turn around we were able to utilize both bars and made the most of our room. So clean and well kept. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful every step of the way. So happy to have found such a great place to rest our heads in the city that never sleeps.

The property was cool. I would've gave 5 stars but I gave a 4 because I seem a stain on the pillow sheets.. Clean sheets and pillows and towels and shower curtains should be a priority always.. no cleaning team should should over look stains. Change it out immediately before next guest arrives

Rooftop terraces were closed except for the bar and children were not allowed on that terrace. This was really unfortunate as this was a main draw to choosing Citizen M. Rooms are made for solo travelers or very comfortable roommates as the toilet is basically next to the bed, separated by a shower curtain.

Booked king bed( think all Are) and weird layout-one side of Width of king bed up against window and not moveable. Bathroom is plastic module with frosted plastic in center if room. No privacy or room to read as all Controlled by mini ipad and all Lights only on or Off. Very cozy for 5 nights with granny & granddaughter!

Great location to Times Square, subway stations very close. Great atmosphere. I’ve stayed at a Citizen M in Washington DC and loved it so I’m happy this location didn’t disappoint. Very friendly staff and clean rooms.

Location. I don’t believe a $28.12 refund is sufficient. We were without hot water and heat for a majority of our stay. This is completely unacceptable. I don’t do this at all but in this case and with these conditions, it is completely satisfactory to issue a full refund back to my original payment method (credit card).

Had some technical issues with my room but was moved to another room and had no issues after that.

The bathrooms have very little privacy. I knew the rooms was going to b small but wish there were a place to sit. The view was not what I expected.

Great location and no nonsense rooms which are great if you’re out and about all day. Bed was very comfortable, rooftop bar was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I needed a late check out and they offered an extra hour complimentary or an extra 3 hours for a fee, which I gladly paid. They also stored our luggage for us until we were ready to head out of the city which was a life saver. One of the elevators was out of order so it took a bit longer to get up and down the building. I didn’t really mind, but a few times I had to press the button again as it would cancel coming to my floor after a few minutes.

We especially loved the smart tablet feature, which made it so easy to control the lights, temperature, and TV—such a modern and convenient touch. For a single person who has no issues with claustrophobia, will be in the room only to sleep and doesn’t care about coffee or hot showers, there is much to recommend citizen M. There’s always pleasant staff available in the lobby to assist with checking in or out, answering questions, storing luggage, or making coffee drinks. The 50th st location is an easy walk to most theaters but far enough from mid Times Square to avoid some noise and lights. Subways extremely close by as is MOMA, Central Park and Columbus Circle. But the tiny rooms are a deal breaker.

Internet was good, A/C unit was good, we had issues with the power outlets and phone not working, so our devices weren’t charging.

Rooms were clean and well-maintained, no complaints there. The location was excellent, easy to get to where we needed to go without much hassle. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Only minor gripe is that the elevators can be slow to arrive at times, but it’s a small inconvenience and hardly a dealbreaker. Would absolutely stay here again.

Everything I needed was walking distance! Manx good shops, cafes and restaurants close by. Lots of attractions to visit too. The only thing I felt was missing at the hotel was a pool.

Amazing stay in downtown NYC

Room was nice, clean and the IPod that controlled the tv, light and other things in the room. Everything was wonderful.

Shops yes staff was very good but the rooms were small and cheap no movie channels just have to air play your phone.

The room was never cleaned professionally, just the bed made, and the towels changed. It was obvious where crumbs were left or marks from our shoes from during the day, as well as the bed not being clean after several days. Despite marking that we needed a full clean on the iPad, not one clean was done properly. After a long day in the city, we had to keep asking reception to send someone to clean the room. One of the other issues was the lifts, for a large hotel only two lifts were working, and you would be waiting a while for the lift to reach your floor. Sometimes despite calling the lift, the buttons would switch off meaning that the lift would skip your floor, and you would be waiting a while longer. Lastly, the noise from other guests. The rooms are poorly insulated, including a huge gap under our door meaning we could hear other guests getting in and out of the lift, or talking loudly in the hallways.

The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond to make our stay special.

This hotel was perfect for a weekend stay with my sister. The room is small, as expected in NYC, but we were only there to sleep and the location is FABULOUS! Also, the staff is super friendly and held our bags for us on the last day after we checked out. Very clean and modern. Not stuffy and outdated like other hotels. Would absolutely stay again.

I was in town on business and was able to work on my laptop just fine. Fast WiFi, great bed for comfortable nights sleep. Nice common areas for hanging out and meeting up with others. A good bar and good food with a nice inside store for good, drink and items forgotten. An extremely modern and fun vibe! A+

It took a little getting used to the smaller rooms and the lack of ice machines (provided at first floor bar) and the lack of free coffee (no machine in your rook either). HOWEVER, the staff was so helpful and welcoming that those things didn't bother me as much. AND, the location is perfect! A little away from the massive mobs of Time Square (yet close enough to go often) and right in the middle of all the broadway shows. The cost was also excellent ... just loved the hotel !!

I’m definitely a review type person. I read them all before going with a place. However, being in the service industry myself sometimes you just need to look past the complainers who didn’t get their way and the actually really legitimate bad ones. With that being said - my review is for the winter traveling with a teenager. First off, ease of access to this place is phenomenal. It’s conveniently located close enough to Times Square to not miss out on much but far enough away there aren’t screaming people everywhere during this month. Second, the staff and establishment are above par. They are so damn friendly for NY and made checking in and a stressful travel day even better. I would also like to note that their security at night made me feel so much better and I didn’t even know they did that. Coming in around midnight the doors were locked. A staff member greets you and requests to see your room key and ID. Which whether you are a female traveling soloe or have kids you know this is huge. They offer umbrellas for bad weather and their hot water in the shower is actually hot. My daughter absolutely loved this hotel for her first trip to NY. The only “fun” part about this hotel is their elevator has a mind of its own. Are you going up? Are you going down? It’s just part of the mystery for sure. Also to reference I stayed on the 8th floor and the noise was damn near none. I heard an occasional siren and that’s about it. No other room stayers , no house keeping, nothing.

My room was extremely cold

We had some issues with hot water and heat. Then, to no fault of the hotel, a pipe burst and alarms went off two nights in a row. Staff was very kind and courteous. They compensated us adequately. But definitely put a little bit of a damper on things and not sure we’d stay again.

Matthew and staff at the front desk were superb, Matthew had even clocked our Canadian *accent*, ha. Hotel’s situated perfectly. Only criticism, hotels showing its age. Less than a few years ago we visited your Miami, citizenm location and couldn’t point out an imperfection. Few notable items include mold in the shower, cracked iPad (along with non functional tech in room) as well no happy hour or incentive benefit to spend at the hotel bar, rather the hundreds of alternatives steps away on time square. Third elevator also needs to be fixed — appears outstanding from reviews from months back too. Otherwise, we had enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.

Fantastic staff, Adisa and Lord were both amazing. Very knowledgeable on the area and I had great conversation with both. I was unsure about the room at first because of the size but honestly it was the most comfortable stay of many trips I’ve been on. It can be a little “high tech” took me a minute to learn to work everything like tv and lights but I honestly loved it and wish I would have stayed longer. Very cozy and comfortable bed.

If I had any complaint it would be the elevators- but there are signs telling everyone they are working on it and please forgive the inconvenience. Location …. amazing! Food and drink options available in hotel … amazing! The room needs so attention. iPad used to control lights, tv, etc… cracked display. Bathroom door would not close and in a small space, this became an annoyance. Shower head was broken or had so much hard water build up so water sprayed inconveniently. For a hotel not in Times Square charging you Time Square rates, these items may want to be addressed. We have stayed in many CitizensMs in several countries. Hopefully this is not the norm now that you have been purchased by Marriott.

My stay was perfect! The hotel is so close to a subway station as well as Time Square and other very fun activities. The staff were very friendly and helped out whenever needed. I would 100% stay here again everything was clean as well. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit New York.

We stayed at the Citizen M for a few days after the New Year. I loved the dark, cozy vibe. The room was cozy and my daughter and I loved the lighting options :P We were on the 17th floor and could see the view of the upper (lower?) end of Times Square. After a verrrryyyy long day of walking the bar staff greeted us with such warmth and eased a bit of our fatigue with a coffee and cocktail! The staff were all so helpful and accomodating. On another trip to NYC I'm not sure I'd stay in Times Square again due to the people congestion but it was great being close to so many landmarks and shopping!

I loved my room it was perfect for what it was needed for, a quick 2 day trip to NYC. Staff was amazing and it was right next to the broadway show we were seeing which was great. It is a busy street so NYC noise is there but I'm a heavy sleeper and had no trouble sleeping through the noise. I also loved how everything was control by a iPad and check in and check out was quick and easy.

There was no hot water when taking a shower. The breakfast was not good. The food was cold both days. I thought if I went earlier to breakfast the second day it would be better and it wasn’t.

Every employee we encountered was incredibly kind. What a lovely stay!

There were a few issues for us. We were very disappointed in the breakfast. It was overpriced and not tasty at all. The housekeeping was on some sort of request system that was based on a deadline so our trash was never emptied nor were our towels refreshed.

This hotel and its service are overpriced and underperforms. While we paid more than $500/night, there were many problems, which were not addressed properly. We got the impression that there is no monitoring of the staff activities or the performance of certain activities. The heating system caused serious problems and the room cleaning service was not functional to name a few. When we asked to talk to the general manager we were told that she is on vacation and the shift manager is our only hope. It was embarrassing to see how many times we had complained, each time to a different person since there was no access to upper management. After having all these problems none of the “managers” that we interacted with ever offered any compensation for the hassle, inconvenience and overall bad performance. I’d stay away from a hotel which is run so inadequately and so poorly.

The hotel was so comfortable and cozy. The room was very clean and quiet. Everything we needed was there. I would absolutely stay here again. Very close to many popular places.

We did have issues with the shower as there were times the water was very hot and others it was a struggle trying to figure out how to get out to warm up. But that may have just been user error. Also be aware that the doors are not sound proof going out into the hallway so loud conversations or orher sounds can be heard but i never heard any noises from the walls so you are good there. See no evil pizza was a great spot for pizza going down towards the subway. Just make a reservation if going in the evening.

The room, the blackout curtains didn’t close all the way, so at night the lights from outside were beaming into the room making it very hard to fall asleep. We talked to the front desk the next morning and they said maintenance would go fix it during the day. When we got back to our room around 6pm, we tested out the curtains and it was a slight improvement, instead of a 4inch gap, it was a 2inch gap, so we just decided to place our pillows against the curtains to completely block out the lights. The water pressure in the shower was weak. This was our 2nd time staying at this exact location, so we were quite surprised at how different this experience was compared to our prior visit in 2024.

Tiny room

The parking was a convenient location and in close proximity to the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. The lobby and decor were cozy and warm. The room was extremely clean with many modern convenience. It was a bit small, but not a concern. The hotel was in close proximity to all our activities. We'll be back!

FABULOUS property! Rooms are small but super efficient and contemporary. Comfy bed, great towels and a terrific bathroom/shower. The SERVICE team were amazing! Ask for Ben - he will give you great ideas on where to go in NYC. TERRIFIC location too. This is the place I will stay when I return to NYC. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel location; close to major midtown attractions and subway stop; area feels safe. Rooms are small, but very clean/comfortable. Makes good use of space available; plenty of room to store clothes, shoes, coats/jackets. Excellent breakfast! Staff very friendly, helpful.

We loved this hotel. Great vib, the room was comfortable, the location is unbeatable, and the rooftop bar is amazing! Only downside is that the elevators are in serious need of replacement. They break down and malfunction a lot. We were left walking up 11 flights of stairs a few times.

My only complaint is that even though I made the reservation two months prior to the visit we were placed in a room next to the very busy elevator. Avoid rooms that end in 08.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The location was close to nearly all we wanted to experience during our five nights. The only drawback was the elevator wait at times. One lift was broken so the other two had issues keeping up. We would stay here again!

Beware-TINY rooms! Even for NYC! Pros: location, comfy bed, blackout blinds, staff, vibe, bar. Cons: janky elevators, micro sized rooms with mobile unit bathrooms, shortage of towels, nowhere for your luggage, sink by the bed. If you wish to hearken back to your backpacking through Europe days, but at +$500/night, this is the place for you. But if you typically make a spectacle of brushing your teeth, this is not the place. If you need your privacy for bathroom time lol, go to the hotel bathroom. If your husband is 6’4”, this also may not be the place for you. If you have luggage of any size, this is not the place for you. If you don’t like bunk beds, this is not the place for you. This is a vibey, European-style hotel. We are in our 50’s, so we prefer comfort and are willing to pay for it. For almost $600/night, this was not a good value for us.

The Citizen M hotel was great! The room, common areas and decks were always well maintained. The staff were always with smiles and went out of their ways to ensure you were having a great time. The buffet was more than expected and the barista was awesome. The bar upstairs was awesome. The bar and mezzanine both have wonderful views of Time Square. I will always use them.

Hello, after coming back to our room from a day of walking, we came into the lower lobby. There were three gentlemen working around the bar area. All of them had hotel name tags. I went to pick a water and snacks to purchase. After coming around to make the purchase the three gentleman were talking amongst themselves. We waited for about two or three minutes at the register. I finally asked out load “ is this the section where I purchase the waters? One of the gentleman said” yes come to this register” Which is as across the bar. Different experience in the morning crew, I came down to get coffee and they were extremely helpful and kind. I hope this helps. Thank you!

Only areas for improvement: (1) The lifts are very slow! I think they're operating with 2 rather than 3 atm, but often had to wait up to 3/4 mins for a lift. (2) You can hear some noise from the streets (we were on floor 6). I didn't think this was too bad, especially given the location, but be aware if you're a light sleeper. The noise from the corridor is also quite loud (we were by the lifts). (3) The toilet door could be soundproofed or fitted with a better seal, as it didn't completely close. I was staying with a friend, so we played music to drown out the sounds, but this could definitely be improved by the hotel. (4) You can't link Spotify to the TV, only streaming services. Overall, would highly recommend and return on a trip to NYC!

The property is slick, modern and well maintained. However, I don’t appreciate a business model that requires customers to check themselves in on a self-service kiosk. It’s tacky and feels like a cost cutting move that allows the hotel to bypass hiring enough actual human beings to provide a comfortable hotel experience. There was an employee nearby to answer any questions and instruct customers on how to use the kiosk, but this begged the question: why can’t the worker just check me in himself? I will refrain from staying there again unless I learn that the hotel operators have changed this “self service” practice and have hired people to work an actual front desk.

Clean and great location

My daughter and I had an amazing stay at CitizenM New York Times Square! The hotel was super clean, the staff was great, and everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. The location couldn’t be better, and the rooftop views were awesome. Definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect location for exploring that part of the city. Room was cleaned great every day, the property is extremely clean and well kept. The service from the staff is incredible. Even the maintenance staff spoke to us in the elevators. I was in town for the NYC marathon and definitely would stay here again!

The hotel was great. Rooms were on the smaller side but clean and very high tech. Location was excellent and close to several subway stations. Staff was for the most part very helpful and polite. We did have one incident with a bartender at the rooftop bar. My wife had never tried a Long Island ice tea and asked for one. Bartender proceeds to scold me telling me they do not make that drink, that it is a very bad drink and we should not drink it. I incredulously asked him if he was joking. He said he was dead serious. I understand if it is hotel policy not to offer certain drinks and I have no problem with that. But the way he went on his tirade was a bit much. Especially to a paying customer. After ordering something else and a lackluster tip to said bartender we left and never went back to the rooftop bar for the duration or our 5 day stay.

Love CitizenM hotels have stayed in a few different locations. Was an ideal location for a first time solo traveler.

Our hotel stay exceeded my expectations. Check in was quick and efficient. Our room was lovely packed with storage space. I downloaded the app so was able to do everything from my phone. The hotel is centrally located to many local attractions including The Gershwin Theatre, Timesquare, multiple subway intrance, a lovely bagel shop and so much more.

The property was in a great area close to broadway but not right in the middle of all the chaos. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable for 2 people. I will definitely be coming back to CitizenM for my next NYC trip.

ONLY complaint was the expensive, subpar breakfast but I just would chose not to eat it again, no biggie! Overall a FANTASTIC hotel and would 10000% stay again!

Don't pre-pay for breakfast or they will double charge you. Rooms don't have irons. Temp control in the room doesn't work.

Close to M&M building where stop number 1 is for the Big Red Bus. We were on the 7th floor but did not hear any street noise, and there was no noise heard from other rooms. Very comfortable big bed. Great shower. Breakfast buffet was fresh and had plenty to choose from. Loved our trip to New York and staying at Citizem M was perfect. Thank you to all the amazing staff. We would without a doubt stay here again.

Clean room! Great service

The CitizenM Hotel was perfect for one person traveling alone. The rooms are tiny but very cute and compact. The bed was quite comfortable, although the desk chair was not. The biggest issue was with the elevators; one was apparently being serviced and the other two were slooooooow. But the location is terrific and the room really did have everything that I needed, even though it was small.

Hotel elevators limited and long waits; ease of self checking with iPads late at night; room had non functional iPad to control lights, tv, temperature; 3 out of my 4 nights iPad didn’t work; last night stated it needed to be serviced by admin; 1 day they were servicing my room at 4:30 pm when I returned from being out in the city; bedding comfortably but excessive use of bleach; best part location, but many other hotels to choose from in the area; for the price, not worth it;

Great location for Broadway shows and convenient subway stops, as well as the Times Square experience. Clean and comfortable rooms, small but with good storage. One elevator was out of order but we were notified beforehand and it didn't really cause problems. The rooftop bar is awesome!

The hotel is very technologically advanced which is awesome. Everyone was so friendly and kind to every request. The front desk staff was extremely helpful with food recommendations and with directions. Overall we had an amazing stay for our first time in New York Cityand would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. I would also choose this chain of hotels in other cities just based off my experience from this location.

Perfect location

I’ve stayed here several times before, and it’s always been great. But this trip had a few issues. First, one of the elevators was down, which left only two working elevators. Waits got so long on several occasions that I just ended up using the stairs. The other issue was non-stop loud bass from a stereo. I couldn’t tell if it was coming from a room next-door, or from the hotel's night club… but it was loud and annoying. Overall, though, I didn’t spend much time in the room… so it didn’t really impact my overall trip.

The elevators weren’t working. Day one I was on the 17th floor and the elevator wasn’t working properly so I had to use the stairs to the 16th floor and get on the elevator from there. I asked for a new room and it was granted. Got moved to the 18th floor. The next day myself and a group of other guests had use the stairs because the elevators weren’t working properly from the 18th floor. I have stayed at CitizenM in DC and I loved it. I will never stay at the property again. The staff was amazing.

Our stay at CitizenM exceeded expectations. The room was thoughtfully designed, with a modern layout and an exceptionally comfortable bed. The staff provided outstanding service and added a personal touch by surprising us with a cake and card to celebrate our 15th anniversary. The hotel’s location was ideal, just steps away from Times Square, making it convenient to explore the city. A truly memorable experience from start to finish.

Very clean room. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the breakfast was delicious.

Staff are very friendly & helpful. There is a water dispenser at the bar that you can use for bottles - both still and sparkling. Elevators are bad. It takes forever to arrive, you can hear cars fully passing you. When it does arrive, it's somehow going the wrong direction and you have to ride it up before it'll go down - every single time someone else gets on the elevator, you have the same conversation about the elevators being terrible. One elevator of the three is The rooms are also noisy because there's no sound isolation to the hallway. You can hear slamming doors and a near-constant dragging noise of the elevator.

Also if you need to use the restroom in the middle of the night the only switch turns on all the room lights, waking up the other person. But after you’ve crawled over them they’re probably awake anyways!! Good things - super clean, wonderful staff, nice rooftop bar and lobby atrium. Close to Times Square. Walkable to many places.

My stay was good overall. The room was tiny(im talking small!) but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful but there were some issues with the elevators. I was made aware but didnt expect it to be that much of a hinderance. Overall for the price and location i give my stay a 7/10

It was a good location but we had an issue with our shower that was never fixed and also the tv wouldn’t change channels. My wife and I went to the front desk a hand full of times and just got the run around. The lobby was nice though and besides the staff not fixing our issue mostly everyone was nice.

Great location. City view rooms are small but very well designed. Bit of problem with bed next to window and accessible from only one side but mattress was very, very comfortable.

My stay was not as expected due to the constant elevator issues and the grinding industrial sound from one of the elevators that could be heard in guest rooms - and at all hours. I wear ear plugs, and could still hear it. They also took one of the elevators off-line and came up with a bizarre system of making quests stop at either odd, or even numbered floors, so even if one were on the top floor and the only one in the elevator, one had to stop and every single floor in the sequence - I was on the 19F. It would have been much faster to simply let the remaining two elevators to run as normal. The staff was nice and pleasant upon check in, and seemed to be aware the noise and apologized, but couldn't do much about it. I checked out early because of the noise issues and paid for two expensive nights at the Hyatt. It is an OK place, but not one I would stay in again. The rooms are small - the showers are nice. It was clean, but the cleaning staff left clothes in the closet from a previous occupant. Once I arrived at the Hyatt, I could breathe again and had more space and peace and quiet. Still waiting for Expedia to refund my two nights.

I really liked how the hotel was pretty much near everything and you can just walk out and find places to eat, shop and the subway was right outside the hotel.

I liked the smart features in the room. The tablet in the room and Android app both worked well to control the lights and curtains. Great lighting and decor in rooms and common spaces. The wall to wall bed and window were great. And the extra wide showerhead was luxurious. I was hesitant to spend $24 on the breakfast but I didn't regret it. It was a classic breakfast buffet with good quality. Good bacon, smoked salmon, fresh orange juice, high quality tea. It was open till 11 which was great for sleeping in. Overall I highly recommend. I appreciate the attention to detail put into just about everything here.

Very nice property. For the price paid, the room was much smaller than I expected. given I was sharing it with another person, the lack of a separate walled off bathroom was unexpected. It was glass and a curtain separating the common area and the bathroom. Also of the three elevators on the property, only one was operational during our stay. It took time to get up and down. Solid ok experience.

I was supposed to stay 3 nights and go to another hotel. Instead, i cancelled the other accommodation and extended my stay at CitizenM. The bed and sheets are unbelievably soft and comfortable. The rooms is quiet and the location can't get any better.

Came in during the time when they were upgrading the elevators and the gym. The gym was a big part of why I booked this and was told only a week out that it was going to be closed starting the day before I was supposed to check in.

Love this hotel right on time square , excellent location , steps away from broadway shows, restaurants, bars. Beautiful art deco style lobby with plenty of lounging areas, fun, suiting colors, big, comfortable sectionals, 24/7 open bar, great cocktails, and some food too. Friendly , professional staff . Comfortable bed with high quality sheets and pillows, color changing mood lights, blackout curtain, all digital. Smart design. I will definitely stay here in the future again! Highly recommend!

Great experience

Great and a very inviting lobby. Breakfast was very good too. Great view from the rooftop bar. But rooms are tiny and not particularly intimate with a bathroom area encroached into the room. Area around really busy and noisy.

Everything about this hotel was amazing, especially the staff and the breakfast! On the negative side, the elevators were a problem. Only one of the three elevators worked during our 3 night stay. As expected, the room was small. The placement of the bed was troublesome. The bed was only accessible on one side. My husband had to crawl over me to get out of the bed. Due to this, we will not be returning to this hotel. It is a shame as the staff and everything else was amazing. The location in reference to the theatre district was perfect!

Rooms were a little small

I loved the vibe of the hotel but the rooms are very small. Similar to a cruise ship cabin. The hotel is not in the best area, but not the worst. When leaving hotel go right..making a left puts you in a more seedy area.

The staff (and especially the hotel bartenders Ben and Evon) were so awesome! Professional and Sweet and so helpful letting us know what places to visit. The hotel is immaculate and very conveniently located!

I have been here several times and it is always very nice.

Fix the elevators please as it took me 20 min to get to my room

This was a really fun place to stay for a quick trip to the city. Super accessible by multiple subway lines and in the heart of Broadway and Times Square. Check-in and check-out were very simple, and the baggage storage option is a significant plus. The rooftop bar has a great vibe and offers fun, boozy cocktails. The only negative was one morning without hot water in the shower, otherwise it was a great place to stay!

Location was convenient and facilities modern.Stayed there for the first weekend of August for my gf's birthday. The staff helped make it special for her by providing a card and complimentary drinks. Would stay there again.

Stayed at Citizen M in London so knew what rooms were like. Enjoyable stay, wasn’t keen on the breakfast so worked out expensive for what I had.

Wonderful staff and the best location to explore the Theater District and Manhattan.

Other pluses about this CitizenM: good location (if you don’t mind the crowd); easy access to metro stations; fluffy pillows; great selection of TV channels; super welcoming front desk crew.

The service was excellent and the hotel was just what we needed for our stay!

I like that everything was within walking distance. Hotel was very clean, food was horrible and most staff were rude with an exemption of two employees Grace and John that were very kind and helpful and always had a smile on their faces.

We enjoyed our stay there. Room was small but very clean, and location was good. One elevator was down, so it did take a while sometimes to catch one. Staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful. Overall, great experience.

Located just steps from Times Square. Great, personable, helpful staff. Small, but compact room with lots of storage. Rainfall shower was the Best. Rooftop bar and outdoor patio were a treat.

I recently stayed at citizenM this past week and overly enjoyed my stay! The rooms were small, but they were amazing and we were only there to sleep and rest. Having room service clean the rooms everyday was a plus. The staff were very friendly in helping us determine transportation and travel. I will definitely be staying here the next time I visit NYC!

The hotel super trendy, clean, the staff courteous, friendly, but what i didn't like was the service to the airport...the from desk told me it would cost $80.00 + to La Guardia, a yellow cab would charge $60.00, you need to work on that.....i would stay at cCitisenM hotel again....work on a shuttle service to and from the airport....

Large reception/entrance area with access to various seating options (couches, tables/chairs, and bar). Check-in is via computers at the front, however, staff are always there to help if needed. They are so friendly and helpful - they are happy to answer any questions. X1 bar and a small shop are in the same area - they offer various drinks and food (excellent). Another bar (rooftop) which is gorgeous and again has access to various seating options. The room itself is as pictured online and very clean. There is access to an iPad which controls lighting and the blinds (you can also do this via normal switches). The iPad also has the hotels menu and various city guides (i.e. attractions, dining suggestions, etc). The bed is very comfortable and cosy. The shower is excellent, however, can become very slippy when bending to wash feet (there are no railings to hold onto). The toilet is in the same cubicle and although there is a shower curtain, the whole cubicle becomes wet - this can become annoying when using the toilet and feet becoming wet. The location is excellent - a 2 min walk to timesquare (i.e. red steps). There are various restaurants and shops close too.

The room was Tiny but adequate. They made good use of small space. The check in was self check in so no staff was there to give information about the hotel, the room or amenities. The breakfast and coffee in the morning were wonderful!!

Morning. And they solve that too! But the cleaners really didnt do an efficient job in the room. Everyday we found hair on the floor and on the bed sheets . Its sad because all the employees downstairs are really nice, friendly and helpful
