We were so pleased with our stay at the Feather Factory Hotel! We came to the city for GovBall and booked super last minute but the room was very nice and spacious. The shower was wonderful and my husband loved the toiletries provided. We both made good use of the complimentary tea and coffee and the reasonably priced market that had so many options for late night suppers or quick breakfasts. We also enjoyed their buffet breakfast one morning. It was all delicious! The staff were extremely helpful we were able to drop our bag off early and come back for ot after our check in time. And they were very informative about how to get to the subway (just a short walk a few blocks away from the hotel) and which apps to use to plan our travel throughout the city. Lastly even though the hotel is located near some railways we were not disturbed at night and I am a very light sleeper. We definitely plan to come back for our next visit and would recommend this stay to anyone!

Amazing for the price: clean and spacious room, 10 minutes walk from the subway, and free coffee and tea at the reception. Our room faced the rail tracks, and it is a bit loud, but it's completely fine with a closed window and earplugs if you're really sensitive to noise.

Expensive for the room facilities and location but I assume it's a peak season so the prices! Too much clutter in the room, with fridge, locker, which could be put into one shelf on top of each other, to make space! If you are a light sleeper, then this place is definitely not for you as you will hear lot of train horns etc overnight making it difficult to sleep. The shower tub was slippery. The nearest tube is 15 minutes walk. There is no kettle/tea/coffee in the room. We had a room without breakfast and for one of the days we went for breakfast and tried to make a payment during checkout but were told that we will be charged 15$ per person instead of 11$ because we went directly to the terrace for breakfast!! ! I don't understand this logic, why the amount should change depending upon location within the same building!! The girl at the reception didn't bother much to explain or help! When we returned to collect the bags, we asked another person at the reception, and he helped reverse the amount.

Cool building, not the run of the mill chain hotel. Clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast room with view of the city. Walking distance from the subway. Minor issue but one night I was coming back pretty late and there wasn't alot of footfall on the walk from subway to hotel.

The only thing that caught me off guard was them actually taking the deposit money instead of just holding my card. But other than that the rooms were nice staff was friendly and it was a great location to get us easy access to manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens! We will be back! Thank you

Overall, we enjoyed our day. There was a little bit of a hiccup, but to no avail everything worked out in the end and then we left.

Great quiet location. Train is close but noise didn’t bother us. Great view of the city. Check in was easy, they also store your luggage for you for freeeee!

The hotel itself is not bad, but the surrounding area is like in the middle of a construction site. People are paving roads right outside of my window at 10:30pm and I can smell the smoke and feel the vibration. You can also hear the loud train horns in the middle of the night. The hotel is clean and affordable, staff is friendly.

From the perspective of a long commuter prioritizing a simple convenient and affordable place to stay it checked all the boxes. As of this writing the location doesn’t have restaurant options steps away but they make up for that by having well priced sandwiches and snacks in the lobby. Within a 10-15 minute walk you’ll find plenty of restaurants and subway options for a very short ride into the city. I would stay here again.

There is also a small DIY shop with food and supplies that is surprisingly inclusive and inexpensive with items ranging from phone chargers and cold meds to sandwiches and different types of spring water. The rooms on the higher floors are a little quieter, as the first floor is the same as the lobby, so you do hear a little hallway noise as people are coming and going. Additionally, there’s a nice coffee and tea spread in the lobby, and the hotel has WiFi. For the price point, this place is an unsung hero in the city. It’s easy to get around via Uber/Lyft, and it’s about a 10 min walk to the closest subway. It’s also very convenient to LGA.

This was the first time I stayed here. The room was spacious, included a safe, small fridge, WiFi, good coffee in the lobby and friendly staff. Room was clean, had very nice windows, and despite what others have said I didn’t feel there was that much train noise. There is quite a bit of traffic in the mornings, so you may get woken up by some angry commuters but aside from that it was a very comfortable stay!

The room was nice and clean. The staff was pleasant. They had a coffee and tea bar which was great. I had a fridge in my room but no microwave. The microwave was downstairs. I didn’t like that there weren’t convenience stores within a block. I had to walk multiple blocks to get one. But they did have convenience stuff to buy in the hotel. Overall a pleasant experience.

Warning-There is absolutely NO mention what-so-ever of additional $150 room deposit anywhere on Expedia website!!! Accused of potentially “destroying” room for room deposit to be necessary! Don’t they have liability and property and casually insurance as required by law for that???!!! Very offensive and predatory practice! Cash not accepted only credit card for deposit! Extremely inconvenient and discriminatory in nature! Cheap mattress kept sliding around on bed frame from simply sitting up with my back supported by the headboard! Very uncomfortable! Very noisy, malfunctioning bathroom fan gave me an actual headache! Shower head very cheap with weak water pressure! Overpriced rooms with almost no amenities! I won’t ever be back! Thank you.

Room was basic and clean and had what i needed to stay. Bed and towels and bathroom were fine. Internet worked. Curtains were old but functional. Staff was very helpful, efficient and pleasant. I would stay again. Good value for the money paid.

The staff was absolutely wonderful, the biggest issue here is how thin the windows are making the subway/train tracks very noisy all night long, how thin the walls are so you can hear everyone next door and the bedding. My bed was made with three small square pillows, no comforter at all, just two sheets and a paper thin blanket in between them.

Just a pleasant hotel with kind staff. Clean, quiet, and just where I needed it. A couple things to make it even better: Translucent coating on the first floor room windows up to above street eye level, and a translucent curtain, would allow guests to bring more light in--the opaque drapes make the room a little dark during the day. Non-slip surfaces on the floor of the shower would make it safer.

We were pleasantly surprised with the experience we had at the Feather Factory. In a safe location with plenty of free street parking around the corner. The room was clean and I appreciated the free coffee in the lobby. The people at the front desk were very friendly. We were barely at the hotel but it served its purpose and was a great value relative to nearby hotel options.

Very unhappy with our stay at Feather Factory. Up all night with train noises- blaring horns, loud wheels on the tracks. Breakfast was good but very slow because there was only 1 employee serving everything that was hot. Front desk employee didn’t speak English well so we didn’t even understand what she said. Surrounding area is mostly industrial. We will not be going back there.

A/C is an old windows unit. Super loud. Single ply toilet paper.. I really intensely disliked this place. The only positive was pretty good coffee 24/7. Its super obvious they did this hotel as cheap as possible. Stay away.

It was surprisingly quiet

Bed sheets had blood stains on it. Was cleaned but seeing the stained sheets was disgusting. Room next to railroad tracks is loud with the horns blaring. Possibly the inside rooms are better. Noise cancelling headphones made it bearable to sleep with the trains.

The room was exactly as it was shown in the pictures — a queen bed room was perfect for 2 people, the A/C worked great, bathroom was great, and everything was spotless when we arrived. The lobby is quaintly decorated and clean, too. Staff was nice and helpful, fast check-out, free coffee and tea in the morning, and they even threw in a complimentary breakfast. Hotel is located in a fairly quiet area when it comes to crowds/car traffic, but I will note that it is next to lots of train tracks so if you sleep lightly that may be an issue (but it wasn’t for us at all). Fairly priced room, easy to drive to/get around, and there is plenty of free street parking (free 7pm to 7am then metered outside those hours, but very cheap) right outside the hotel doors. Great experience and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

I’m a pilot and needed a room for the day before work. It’s a little bit of a walk from public transportation, but it’s clean and I felt like it was safe.

I stayed on the train rails side and it was horrible. I couldn't sleep at all. I thought the windows were open but nope. Like all the trains were passing inside the room.

Only downside was the shower curtain did not cover the shower completely which made the floors wet.

The hotel is fine and the price quite good. However, its location is not the best. It is right next to very busy train lines, so pack some ear plugs. Also, it is separated from Court Sq; to get there, and to the subway, you walk a couple blocks (deserted at night) and walk over a long bridge. If the location were better, I'd give the place five stars. I was stranded at LaGuardia and needed a place to stay, so it was fine.

Near a nice area near Court Square with a lot of places to eat and easy access to trains and busses. The room was nice and big and the window was super pretty with a nice view. There is breakfast, but it was really crowded since it’s included so we ate outside instead. Bed was comfy and bathroom was nice and clean.

Got in early before check in. They gave me all the coffee I could drink, and held my bag, while I explored NYC before check in. The morning crew Aug 10th was amazing along with the night crew were just as awesome....

I was more surprised than expected, the hotel was nice , clean and helpful when it came to food consumption.

It is old and musty and humid. Our room smelled like a nursing home. The staff was friendly. It was okay. If the price were lower so would my expectations.

We’ve read some reviews that the area is a little sketchy, we never felt concerned at any time. We were out late on two evenings and still didn’t feel concerned. The hotel is ideally situated for the metro into the city. Another great experience and if we are visiting the Big Apple again we’d be sure to stop there. Thanks

We were looking for a affordable hotel not far from Manhattan for 2 adults and 15yo. We had 2 queen beds. This hotel hit all of our expectations, really only there to sleep.They held our luggage when we arrived early and after check out. It was about a 10 minute walk to the subway station, I would recommend the Court Sq location and quick ride into Manhattan.

Paid for King bed and received full bed. TV was not work, AC was loud. They couldn’t move us because they were fully booked. There was no one at check out, there was a line of people waiting. Did not get reimbursed because the was no one to talk to in person and the manager was not in yesterday.

not the safest location! outside to your left is a whole bunch of men/ hobos, felt very unsafe. booked a “city view” room & got a view of parked parks - no visible sight of manhattan at all! small room + EXTREMELY small shower, curtain would touch you during your shower. honestly would NOT recommend this place!

very affordable and very nice for the price. breakfast is simple but hearty, and the rooms have great ac. some cleaning to be desired, and the bed was a tad thin and uncomfortable, but overall worth what we paid for it. my tv had a bit of a dark spot, but it happens. wasn’t here to watch tv anyway. the walls are thin enough to hear someone playing bassy music on a party speaker, but thick enough that i couldn’t hear anyone talking in their rooms. close enough to the 7 that you can walk there in about 10 minutes, and close enough to laguardia community college to have food and shops within 15-20 minute walk.

As a New Yorker, I can confidently say this hotel is a true jewel in the city. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was spotless with a modern, well-appointed bathroom. Housekeeping was prompt and consistent every single day. The front desk staff were exceptionally attentive and welcoming, making check-in and any requests feel effortless. I especially loved the cozy lobby area, which offered a great selection of snacks and coffee—perfect for a quick refreshment throughout the day. This hotel was a good find. Clean, comfortable, as shown in pictures. I would say this is the perfect find, if it were in a different location. Did not always feel the safest walking around/ near the hotel.

My only complaint is the curtain length. Standing there was no issue but in bed someone from outside could potentially peer in (I was on the ground floor.). Other than that I had no other issues.

Two comments, though: there was an odd smell in our bathroom (smelled like a cat had been there) And. the bathtub and bathroom floor are extremely slippery! They both need some sort of texture or perhaps q grab bar in the tub. We are in our '70's; we don't need a handicap bathroom but slipping is a major concern for us. Otherwise, great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Feather Factory. We chose this location because we had stayed there a couple of years ago when we traveled to New York. One improvement the hotel made was to add a breakfast area on the fifth floor where you can have breakfast made to order. The hotel staff were very courteous and professional and made our stay enjoyable.

It’s a very clean hotel and the receptionists are very helpful and accommodating. The detergent they use on the linens is harsh if you have sensitive skin but they have to abide by sanitation rules. Next time I will bring my own pillowcase.

Great place

Clean room, hot water, about a 7min walk to the subway. There is a shelter a few buildings down the street so you'll have people outside there at night but regardless i felt safe.

This hotel was okay. Everything was pretty clean and the staff was fine. Nothing about this hotel was terrible but I rate it as a 3 star because for $200 a night, I expect a lot more. The room was very small and the covers were super thin. Luckily we were able to turn the heat on but it was just not a comfortable stay. I tried to cancel but they would not allow me and I am disappointed that I paid almost $250 for a room that shouldn't be more than $150.

Property is awful the area is unsafe and shouldn’t be allowed for tourists, staff are rude and unhelpful - definitely do not recommend

Nice staffs, clean and reasonable price

Everything was fine, except the area is super noisy and the housekeeper left my windows open and turned off my AC for a whole day and my room was freezing 😀

Very clean and nice property. In a bit of a loud area, and you can hear the train while you are in your bedroom throughout the night for light sleepers. The area itself is not the best but only a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway.
