It is very quiet and peaceful considering its location. The room was very clean. Staff very pleasant. We will come back again for sure The water pressure in the shower was like a fire hose, but I guess that is better than no water pressure at all.

Location was close to subway, peaceful area, more local vibe feel. More spacious than most nyc rooms and had an awesome street view. Lots of doormen and staff working at all hours. The price was a bit high for just a room not really any amenities like breakfast, coffee in lobby, pool. And be careful the lip getting into bathroom can be annoying.
- 4/5
Excellent location on the Upper West Side, close to Central Park, subway stations, restaurants, and grocery stores. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, spacious, and very quiet for New York City. We also appreciated having a full kitchenette with all the basic kitchen supplies, which was very convenient for a family with children. The hotel feels dated and could benefit from some modernization. While everything was functional and clean, the rooms have a more classic style rather than a modern hotel feel. Storage space for luggage was limited, and there was no full-length mirror or dedicated vanity area, which would have been helpful. Some furnishings and fixtures could use updating.

Across the street there’s a market where you can buy food for your stay. I was told that each unit had its own kitchenette because the building used to be an apartment building converted to a hotel. Was very convenient. If you’d like to have a cocktail there is also a liquor store right next-door and a nice restaurant. We stayed because we were attending any event at the Beacon theater. Very convenient! I did have to park my car two blocks up at the champion parking lot ended up being around $325 Canadian for three nights.

Tv remote was missing. Smoke detector malfunctioned in middle of night and they removed but never replaced. Maid would knock on door even when DND sign was out. Very loud construction on room above morning of departure though I'd planned a late departure.

Great location with easy access to central Park and the metro.Large comfortable bed and good skyline views.Kitchenette great with teabags supplied daily.Comfortable bath and plenty of hotwater. Our toilet kept getting blocked. One of our lamps wasn't working and although we reported it it didnt get fixed.

Comfortable beds, helpful staff Couldn't read in bed, no sufficient lighting

The staff was very friendly. It is in a great location with a grocery store right across the street and a subway stop a short walk away. I could hear the noise from the construction crew doing their renovations.

In the good sides staff is super nice and helpful. Rooms are huge and highly equipped. If not for the mold / cockroaches / lack of maintenance probably could be a great hotel, definitely for family with kids.
- 5/5
This is a GREAT hotel in a perfect location. WELCOMING staff (from doormen to housekeepers) were always available and willing to assist us during our stay. Multiple nearby restaurants; short access (2 blocks) to the subway; and a modest, but well-stocked kitchenette complement the friendly climate of this comfortable hotel. I WILL stay here again . . . without hesitation.

A wonderful hotel in a prime location. Close to Metro and shopping. Walkable to Central Park. Very helpful staff. Clean rooms. We stayed in the one bedroom suite, it had a nice city view. Would definitely go back.

This is an amazing location if you want access to Central Park and the Upper Westside. We walked everywhere and it was an easy subway ride to other parts of the city. Extremely clean and staff were warm and helpful. The mini-kitchen was great and we cooked dinner there, getting yummy food from gourmet grocery across the street. It's a smidge dated and there are few working outlets for plugging up devices.

Like many NYC hotels, the Beacon is old. The hallways are dark and uninviting and have an old musty smell. Although we were in a one-bedroom suite, the bathroom was very cramped and the toilet and sink are placed very low. The appliances in the kitchenette were old. We did find a small dead roach one day in the kitchenette. There are few amenities. No water available at the front desk or in your room. No coffee, no market in-house or a place to buy anything. One must go across the street to the (excellent) Fairway market and out of the hotel to get coffee. You must ask for a shower cap if you want one. With all of that said, there is not much to choose from on the Upper West Side. The fitness room is small and there is no room to lay down and stretch and no excercise balls and the like available.
- 3/5
Great location, overpriced, and really mediocre
- 4/5
The location was great- a 2min walk to the subway, so easy to get places quickly if we didn’t fancy a walk, and was a 10min walk to Central Park. There was also a good selection of restaurants nearby as well as bakeries, bars and some shops. Although further away from the main attractions in Manhattan, the hotel was in a quieter area of NYC which was nice after busy days exploring.

We will definitely re-visit next time in NYC!!

The worst hotel bed I have every experienced. Felt like a cheap mattress that was both hard and sliding around at the same time. Almost slept on the chair. Didn't sleep much at all. After that, nothing else mattered. Will never go back.
- 5/5
Comfortable room. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful. Excellent location, close to Central Park and the subway station short block away. Having the little kitchen was a big plus since Fairway Market is right across the street for beverages, bagels, lox, yogurt and fruit. A Trader joe's is just a little further. Nothing

Good location. The property could use some upgrades. The rooms are very small. When you sit on the WC, your leg hits the tub. Also, not enough electrical points for charging. They don’t own any parking. It’s always offsite.

The appartment was bigger than expected, the 2 beds were very comfortable, there were enough kitchen utensils to cook for 4, the dishes were done everyday (waow !!! thanks Susan and co !) , the room was extremely clean, we were welcomed by Mister Miguel, who was extremely warm and always smiling, he gave us some plans of NY as soon as we arrived and some good addesses were to buy some food ! We also met Luc, who was extremely cool with us ! Everybody in the hotel was very kind with us ! Nothing!

Excellent location with friendly staff. Very close to the express 2 and 3 lines which is great for getting downtown quickly. We traveled with our 1 yr old son and they had a crib and high chair set up when we arrived. They even let us check in early so that we could keep him on his nap schedule. The facilities were somewhat dated, which by itself we didn't care about it so much. We did have a run in with a few cockroaches which was unpleasant, but the staff sent someone up to deal with it which was helpful.

Great location, spacious room but incredibly small bathroom. We are not large people but you could barely turn around in that room. The towels had seen better days. They no longer have bars of soap or little bottles of shampoo, only wall mounted soap, shampoo and body wash. We did not havea car nor did we eat breakfast.
- 4/5
The Beacon Hotel has a great charm about it. They have managed to maintain the old look of the hotel, although it might be useful to upgrade certain aspects of the rooms. Our hair dryer smelt of burning, so we didn't use it. The caulk around the sink and bath was starting to pull away from the tiles.

Arrived at 11:45pm. Small issue with my booking and the front desk attendant not only refused to hear me out but them denied me my booking. I was left to find a new hotel after midnight, a single woman, traveling alone. Fortunately, Management heard my complaint the next morning and offered a full refund. This hotel has been great for me in the past—great location and nice rooms. But unfortunately, I can’t book there again after this experience with one of their Staffers. Hope this is an isolated incident.

Stayed here twice. Always a problem checking in. Front staff woman has an attitude. Yesterday. She gave me room I didn’t request. I paid for 2 double beds. Tried to give me one queen bed
- 5/5
Lovely room, great staff and service
- 5/5
Staff are amazing — accommodating, helpful, cheerful. Amazing view on upper floors. Spacious rooms. Small but clean and handy gym. First room was messed up - showerhead nozzle broken, rip in leather of bed board, broken drawer handle — but staff fixed shower very quickly and agreed to change our room free of charge.
- 4/5
Proximity to the theater It’s not about not liking it, it’s just that they’re probably could be some conveniences like ice on more floors… Simple things like that.
- 5/5
Situated in a good area.
- 5/5
Hotel Beacon has a great, friendly and professional staff. The beds are comfortable, but the rooms are a bit dated: there are some funky aspects to the rooms that could use maintenance, but they are overall good, but nothing exceptional. The toilet was super small and loud when you flush it - the mini fridge froze all of our food, and there are moldings that are broken or missing along the floors. Overall a good experience.

The location is excellent, staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and the newly renovated rooms are very nice. In the room we had that was not renovated yet, the shower faucet wasn't properly connected to the wall and there was old, chipping paint. It needed renovation, but the renovated room we had was really nice.
- 4/5
We chose a suite with two double beds in the bedroom, separate lounge / kitchenette. The beds were both slightly smaller than doubles which was disappointing, although the room large itself. I would say this is a 3 star hotel (in UK terms) rather than 4. However, we did really enjoy the stay and would recommend.

Perfect location, clean room with a comfy bed, and friendly staff!
- 5/5
This hotel is walking distance from the 72nd street & Broadway subway and from Central Park. It also has several wonderful places to eat around it. My room was rare for NY in that it actually had a small kitchenette (pots, pans, silverware, toaster, small frig, toaster, stove with two burners), a desk with a chair, a large corner chair and a king bed. The only thing I did not like was that the floor was a non-smoking floor and someone on the floor was smoking marijuana.
- 3/5
Staff is friendly and hotel location is great. However there were roaches in the room. Also the cleaning staff accidentally threw away my son’s retainer in the bathroom. Although accidentally, it cost $350 to replace.
- 5/5
There is a wonderful market right across the street where you can get food to have in the room. I went to NYC to see a show at the Beacon Theater so the location of the hotel was PERFECT!

- 5/5
The hotel is in the center of what might be the liveliest neighborhood in the U.S. - the Upper West Side of NYC.
- 5/5
Diner next door, Starbucks on same side of Broadway but across the street, a grocery across the street from the hotel, and the 72nd subway stop on the red line (1, 2, 3) a couple blocks away. Convenient public transportation. Mostly quiet, as far as NYC goes. Large 1 bdrm with stovetop and refrigerator. Two TVs, though did need to talk to the front desk to get both working. Staff friendly.
- 5/5
Perfect location on UWS, spacious rooms especially for NYC, and absolutely lovely staff - each and every one was warm and helpful. Viand cafe right next door is great for breakfast lunch or dinner. I’ve got my new favorite hotel in Manhattan!

Quick stay. Good location. Room was clean and large, perfect for my son and I with a separate living area. Great location. Coffee shop, restaurants near by, as well as close train access.

Lovely hotel, incredibly convenient location, significantly roomier than your typical New York hotel. I was especially impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the immaculate cleanliness of the hotel throughout. Some of the decor is vintage but in a way that makes it feel cool and custom.

neither faucet worked 100%. Towel bar and toilet paper holders falling apart. Staff was nice and professional mostly except when I checked in - The guy could have been a bit more friendly and welcoming, since its his job and all. Maybe I am spoiled from Las Vegas. But, no, this is NYC and you should get great hotel stays here too. Basically a run down building with an ok staff. Definitely will choose elsewhere next time and not recommend really. For the price, its not worth it. I liked the location but Im sure theres others that could have been better.

I lived in this neighborhood for 30+ years, looked forward to 2 nights with kitchenette and bathtub a few days after being snowed in upstate..i did not expect to wake up freezing due to the cold at 4:00 am with room temp reading 46 outside was in single digits-problem nite before and given space heated which brought temp up to 58! From desk person at check out said booked with 3rd party so nothing they could do to adjust the prepare price

Very clean, elevators prompt, regular cleaning, friendly staff, convenient location.
- 5/5
It always felt like a reprieve to walk into the hotel after coming home from exploring the city. It is calm, quaint, and the room was spacious. The gym does not have weights, which is a bummer because the last thing you need for a workout when visiting NYC is...... a treadmill for more walking. The front desk employees weren't the friendliest, but the bellhops made up for it. They were extremely pleasant, warm, helpful, and always available. This definitely beats all the boutique hotels (Moxy, The Empire, etc.).
- 4/5
Hotel is well located in the Upper West Side. Service was ok, room was spacious and clean. Cannot comment on facilities or food as I did not partake of any.
- 5/5
Extremely welcoming staff. Very helpful and accommodating. I look forward to my next trip back.

I made a genuine mistake on the website where the date picker reset the month of the year, and I purchased the reservation thinking the dates were for the current month. They refused a refund, even though it was a genuine mistake (Experia had contacted them on my behalf immediately after booking when I made the mistake) I visited the hotel in person while I was in NY (for the dates I had intended to book) and spoke to the manager. In fairness she did offer me that I could change the dates of the reservation and therefore return to NYE for another trip. But would not refund the booking, and only offered the modification option after I physically turned up in the hotel in November. I was unable to travel back this year, so I had to let the reservation expire. I do think allowances should be made for genuine mistakes. Obviously, if someone books a non-refundable reservation, sits on if for a few weeks then tries to cancel, this is different from instantly spotting a mistake. We all make mistakes. Also for what it's worth. When I attended to hotel to speak to the manager, the hotel seemed nice enough. Good location. Staff were efficient.

- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Facilities were great. Location was perfect. Would stay there again.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 4/5
The hotel is in a great location, although the hotel itself needs some updating. The bathrooms still have shower curtains and rubber mats in the tub and the pillows are small (don't understand the reason for tiny pillows). The staff were friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Clean room, kind staff, great water pressure, good sized room!
- 2/5
Cockroach in the room
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed having the kitchenette. The location was wonderful.

We have upgraded to our room to the top floor. We love the room very much. Beautiful view from all the windows. And you can open the windows for fresh air. The services are great as well. Location is very good. Lots cafes around it. A big supermarket just opposite the hotel.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The location is great and the hotel itself is really lovely.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The quietest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in in nyc.
- 5/5
Great hotel in a great neighborhood! The staff is so nice and helpful. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Beautiful location, lovely staff, gorgeous interior.
- 5/5
Always friendly and helpful!
- 4/5
Clean great staff great location
- 5/5
The staff and room.
- 5/5
The room was great the area was perfect thank you
- 4/5
Staff were wonderful, especially Mercedes, who cleaned my room. Everything was fine although the bathroom was quite small. Not much you can do about that given the age of the hotel.
- 4/5
It was a nice place to stay and continent to where I wanted to go!
- 5/5
Great hotel! I usually stay at Marriott but this hotel was close to what we needed and I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was amazing! We even had an issue with a heater not working and the repairman fixed it promptly and was so nice! We will be back!
- 5/5
Love this place, my 3rd stay. Location is great too. Hotel is 2 short blocks up from 72nd st express subway (That's ONE stop the the 42nd st theatre district). Easy walk to Lincoln Center and directly ABOVE The Beacon Theater. Downstairs on the left is a great wine shop...on the right a Starbucks and a decent diner. Directly across St is excellent Fairway Market and Citarella gourmet foods. 2 long blocks West and you're at the Hudson River. 2 long blocks East and your at Central Park and Museum of Natural History. Doorman building with a sparkling clean lobby and warm friendly staff. Neighborhood is real nice and chock full of restaurants and services. Recommended!
- 5/5
The kitchen is great 👍
- 4/5
Rooms are larger than the typical in NYC. Good location, quiet and close to Central Park.
- 5/5
Our suite was fabulous. Our only complaint was that one of the elevators was out of service, and the remaining two were small and slow. Otherwise, this was a perfect stay. They need to develop a relationship with one of the many local garages, because we had to go to three before we found one that would accept our car overnight.
- 4/5
Clean, and the people are nice
- 5/5
Great location, comfortable, great staff.
- 4/5
One of the electric burners on the stove did not work. The hotel needs a little updating. One of the three elevators was out. Cleaning staff excellent. Climate control is a little noisy. Room was adequately sized. View was excellent.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
I was immediately greeted by the bellman, Carl, who was personable and efficient. He was Johnny-on-the-spot gathering my luggage, as I went through the infamous 9 Yogic Contortions to gain release from the"extra comfort" Lyft. :D ;} All of the front desk associates I had dealings with went the extra mile. I was upgraded to a suit, with a well stocked kitchen, nice views, and a comfortable bed. [NB: There are a few kinks; e.g., there is a treacherous step UP into the bathroom. It is clear a stop gap measure was put in place to at least make the guest aware (with a motion-sensor nightlight) that is no help during the day.] The bathroom is small, but very clean and functional with some nice amenities. Overall, I was impressed with the level of comfort, functionality, and charm of the room. Finally, the doorman, Jett, is a special person who exemplifies the charms and best qualities of Hotel Beacon.
- 5/5
Courteous staff, very nice room great view. Bed was a little soft and hot water valve in bathroom had a leak. No significant issues. Little pricey, but it’s NYC
- 5/5
Great Staff!!!
- 2/5
The location is great. Everything else wasn't. This hotel needs a massive overhaul, especially for the prices they charge (yes, even in nyc). Everything is outdated, old and on its last legs: the furniture, kitchenette and bathroom very worn out. Crumbs on the bedspread, 3 tissues left in the tissue box. Depressing vibe. There are many other nicer hotels for the same price or less. Staff were indifferent. Stay elsewhere.
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 3/5
Nice hotel but they should have more amenities and pay more attention to details. There should be coffee and water in the lobby. The Keurig in our room did not work. The clocks in the room were never reset after the time change. There are no towel racks in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Quiet family friendly
- 5/5
Staff made us feel like we were home. Rooms were clean and lived the 2 bed option.
- 5/5
Clean room good size nice staff good location
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
The Beacon Hotel has a lot of classic Upper West Side charm. Although it's no longer new, it remains a great choice due to its ideal location.
- 5/5
Great location. Boutique style hotel.
- 5/5
Lovely large clean room with a small kitchenette Great neighborhood with so many restaurant options within walking distance. The subway is 3 blocks away. The staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Rooms are slightly dated but excellent staff and beautiful hotel. Would recommend
- 4/5
there was no breakfast.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice. The beds were comfortable and environment was quiet.
- 5/5
The room was good but what I loved the most was the pillows. They are to die for. I will stay at the Beacon hotel again just for the pillows
- 4/5
Room was just fine. However did not know that I would hear the elevator and some other sounds that I heard most of the night.
- 5/5
Room amenities and service was excellent
- 5/5
Room was very clean & well prepared Only issue was that the bathroom sink faucet drained too slowly. Otherwise all was terrific!
- 5/5
Location was perfect
- 5/5
Amenities, the mini kitchen, clean room too!
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Lovely choice on the UWS
- 5/5
The staff was great especially Luke - since the first day we got there and we had to extend an extra day which was a smooth transition. I will be stay here again the future for my visit to the city. Thank again for a great weekend and see you soon!
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Clean, spacious, great customer service.
- 5/5
Hotel Beacon is a lovely hotel with such friendly staff and beautiful views. Ideally located with lots of gret food and drink options.
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Beacon. Our two room suite was clean, well equipped, quiet and comfortable. We had minimal involvement with the staff but what time we did and questions we asked were promptly and efficiently. The only maintenance I could recommend is to tighten the door know on the bathroom door as the screws were loose.
- 4/5
Staff were responsive, room was clean and beds comfortable.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great star
- 5/5
Yes everything was fantastic. I always stay at the Hotel Beacon when in NYC.
- 5/5
We always love it here. It does not come with breakfast. Great rooms great location friendly staff love it here
- 5/5
this is always the most friendly hotel I’ve ever checked into in New York City
- 5/5
Wasn’t crazy about front desk woman. Not friendly. Had problem with booking. Did not seem to want to help. Everyone else was great
- 5/5
Older hotel, but clean and ideally located. Basic room was spacious compared to other NYC hotels we've tried. Very courteous and helpful staff. Kitchenette is perfect light cooking and heating your leftovers.
- 4/5
Good safe location. Hotel is outdated, but it's also one of the oldest hotels in NYC. staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Everyone was extremely friendly. Room was clean and had a modern feel. Great location! Would stay here again for sure!
- 5/5
Amazing service
- 5/5
Staff was exceptional!!!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect with our stay!
- 5/5
Great staff. Comfortable room. Nothing fancy but in perfect area.
- 5/5
Pleasant check in experience and the room is nice! Clean and spacious! Nothing fancy and a bit outdated but comfortable room and quiet in the room!
- 5/5
Surprisingly clean and comfortable for a reasonable price point. Nice and quiet too.
- 5/5
Beautiful renovated room, with great competent staff. My favorite hotel in the City!
- 5/5
Breakfast can be purchased in the hotel diner next door. Excellent!
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
needs some updating but the service was wonderful and the little extras that made it special
- 4/5
Kind and efficient staff-Bell staff especially friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. We gave it a good rating because there was nothing real special about the decor and there was only 1 comfortable chair to relax in. Parking at 85/ might seemed really high.
- 3/5
Suite was a good size for the money. Mattresses were terrible. Room wasn't fully clean but not a disaster. Tiles and grout not in great condition. Stains on furniture. Staff was helpful. Location very good.
- 5/5
The accommodations were excellent and the staff was outstanding. Lots of great restaurants nearby, a 5 minute walk from the subway. I will absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff great view comfortable bed
- 5/5
The property is quiet old but well maintained.
- 5/5
Close to the park..
- 5/5
Beautiful suite, staff was friendly and efficient, I love the neighborhood and felt at home there. I will go back.
- 5/5
Lovely clean two room suite with unexpected mini kitchen - the staff treated us weekend guests as though we resided here, umbrellas available in the lobby for rainy weather, very courteous staff and noticeably clean rooms and linens, keurig in the kitchen and all of Manhattan to dine in
- 5/5
It was the most incredible view of the city I have ever had at a NYC hotel! Simply amazing!
- 5/5
Great location for a weekend visit to the Upper West Side.
- 4/5
the hotel and content are old, and need renovation, the kitchenette is very uncomforable, there are no suckets for phone or ipads charging, toilet seat is small, taken from a kindergarten, air conditioning is old, acting priodically and very noisy.
- 5/5
Great choice for location, service and attentive staff.
- 5/5
Hotel Beacon was the perfect location for my four New York City visit. The room was very quiet, well equipped, and clean the staff at the front desk was very helpful and professional.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay with young children! Area is safe, quiet, and clean. Easy walk to Central Park, Natural History Museum, and metro station. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping team kept our room tidy. Already looking forward to our next stay!
- 5/5
Great hotel! Convenient location, large rooms, very clean, great water pressure in the shower, and a very comfortable bed. Also, very convenient for picking up a quick coffee, sandwich or the like. Only thing I would improve would be the fitness room as it’s very small and limited. Otherwise everyone was awesome. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Friendly staff great location
- 5/5
Perfect location for concert! Would def come back
- 5/5
Excellent location. Great space in the living areas.
- 5/5
The staff is fantastic and the rooms are very comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff is particulaly kind and friendly.
- 5/5
Beautiful room! I could live here!! And close to everything I needed
- 5/5
There really were none of the annoying things that can happen in historic buildings -- the water pressure was great, the elevators were zippy, and all the staff was SO NICE and HELPFUL. I stayed for 5 nights and I'm really not ready to go home.
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
Great neighborhood hotel.
- 2/5
rooms or 1 bedroom suite with foldout in living room. $2700 for 3 nights. Foldout was unbearably uncomfortable. No apologies, no special accommodation. Had to pay for a second room for 2 of the nights. Their big concession was giving us the Expedia rate for the second room. Staff could not have cared any less. Air conditioning was extremely noisy. Too hot to leave it off. Tiny bathroom. Only nice staff were the bellmen. Stay elsewhere
- 5/5
The suite with a view surpassed our expectations. We loved having a sitting area and kitchen. Staff was friendly and checking in and out was easy. Our room was very close to the elevator but we never heard it. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
First time staying here - very pleased. Classic hotel. Great neighborhood, was upgraded upon check in & able to get in before the official check in time. Blocks from a major subway line. Good light in the room. The kitchenette in room is very handy for a longer stay.
- 4/5
We were on a top floor and had a large room with a spectacular view of the city and the Hudson River. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. There was a small kitchenette that was serviceable. Over all, the hotel is a bit tired, but we would stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly, great location would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
Only problem: the room fee! That’s NYC!
- 4/5
Was pricey but a comfortable stay
- 5/5
Beautiful location and very convenient to a Starbucks and corner store for over the counter meds.
- 5/5
What a surprise and delight Hotel Beacon was! The room was spacious, clean, and quiet with a lovely view out to Central Park. Everyone was so nice, from the front desk to the bell clerks. And the location was so convenient -- an easy subway ride to everything we wanted to do in town. It was also a terrific bargain, honestly. I can't say enough about this old-world gem of a hotel -- it really made the whole trip to NYC perfect. Thank you, Hotel Beacon!
- 5/5
Great stay at Beacon Hotel and the friendliest staff. Will be coming back!
- 5/5
Staff here are incredibly kind. Great location too!
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful! I had a city view and location was excellent. It was clean and friendly and very roomy by any standard, but especially for NY. The kitchenette was great to have and there's a cute food market right across the street.
- 5/5

- 5/5
When considered with such a vibrant Upper West Side, easy in and out driving, and one of the best subway accesses, what more could you want!
- 5/5
thank you.
- 5/5
Very clean, beautiful and spacious suite
- 4/5
Very close to train and nice UWS area.
- 5/5
Very nice environment.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Excellent service. Quiet. Clean. Beautiful. Will return.
- 5/5
Great stay love the location
- 3/5
So, here’s the thing, if I’m going to pay $550 a night for a hotel, even in NYC, I’m expecting some basics: cleanliness, everything in working order, facility in good condition. I get it - it’s NY and things are expensive. I’m not expecting the Ritz Carlton, but at least the quality of Holiday Inn. The Beacon did not meet these low standards - the faucet on our sink was broken, the iron in the room was broken and messed up my shirt, the walls in the room and hallway were scruffy, the rug in the room looked old. There were some nice things about the hotel - great location, beds were comfy, and staff was friendly. But at this price point I’m expecting more - even in NYC.
- 4/5
Close to grocery & pharmacies. Beautiful views. Great area to walk. Weird heating system. Microwave was touchy. I had many problems with the internet on my tablet, but I'm aware of how many people are using it. It wouldn't hurt to boost it? Still, LOVE this hotel.
- 5/5
The Hotel Beacon was a great value for the money. And the neighborhood is comfortable and quiet. At check-in was asked about a view, and they were able to move us up to a higher floor to a room with a fantastic city view. Hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchenette. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Absolutely fabulous! If you can get a view of the Hudson and City View - it is so worth the added expense! We will be back.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Perfect hotel for families with kids
- 5/5
Great location on the upper west side. room was nice size for NYC. Clean, great view. Staff was very friendly. We didnt need the kitchenette, but would be useful for some guests. Elevators were fast, which appreciated in a hotel with many floors. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Welll located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan
- 5/5
Friendly clean great size room great location
- 5/5
We had a large SUV filled with stuff and the parking garage was perfect. Super close and completely secure. Hotel staff was amazing and helpful…and it was midnight! Highly recommend the Hotel Beacon.
- 3/5
Staff wasn’t very helpful when we misplaced our bag but apart from that the bed was so comfy .
- 5/5
Hotel Beacon was great! If you are seeing a show the Theater is right next door or even if you are touring the area - great neighborhood - lots of greata restaurants and thiings to do! Hotel was clean, nice and the staff exceptional!
- 5/5

Great room and hood location
- 5/5
This is such a gem of a hotel on the Upper West Side!! Rooms are big and views are lovely. The staff is friendly and kind, and it's the perfect place for a business or vacation stay.
- 5/5
Everything was awesome. We will be back
- 3/5
Front desk is very friendly! Always wearing a smile. Room was decent a little smaller than I thought. Restroom also on the small side. Location is EXCELLENT! Why did I give it 3 stars well…found a roach in our left over pizza box, waste of $55, the bathtub didn’t drain properly so we stood in a puddle of our dirty water, hair dryer smelled like burning hair and sure enough there was hair left in the hair dryer from who knows when, so I had to remove someone else’s hair out of hair dryer. Yes I did make them aware of the roach and tub issue. Both times they said they would have someone check it out while we were out. The tub issue was “fixed”, but it wasn’t. And the roach issue was never brought up again but we also didn’t see any other roaches after that. I have videos of issues above but it doesn’t allow video only photos.
- 5/5
I love Hotel Beacon. My husband and I enjoyed walking around the hotel and learning about NY. It was safe and in a very convenient location. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I recommend this Hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent and helpful. Location perfect for our visit
- 4/5
Electric outlets at base of lamp not working Bathroom sink drain is too slow Shower water temperature is weak Tub is slippery; a rubber mat would help
- 5/5
Not much counter space in bathroom was a little challenging.
- 5/5
房間有完整的廚房(瓦斯爐 微波爐 烤土司機),每日幫你更換餐盤不用洗碗,樓下有自助洗衣間,對面有大型超市開到晚上11點,離最近的地鐵站步行約5分鐘
- 5/5
Lovely stay at the Hotel Beacon from start to finish!
- 5/5
Would absolutely stay at Hotel Beacon again! Great location. Perfect for traveling with little ones. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, they were so helpful with all that we needed. Really went above and beyond. Affordable too. Great option!
- 5/5
This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Hotel Beacon. Location, staff, and cleanliness are all great. The air conditioning is a little noisy, and there’s no air conditioning in the hallway. But overall the experience was excellent and I plan to stay here again. The old elevator is a hoot. I love it.
- 4/5
Stay was good
- 5/5
Several food options including The Fairway directly across the street. No horns - restful.
- 5/5
Cute hotel on the upper west side. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
We love staying here. This stay we were upgraded to a fabulous room with a great view. The staff is always so professional and friendly. We will be back for sure.
- 4/5
Overall a great stay, subway 5 min walk, supermarket across the road, our little kitchenette worked well for our stay. Easy walk to central park , Bloomingdales outlet across the road. Good pod coffee in room, nice size and comfy bed and pillows, would recommend if wanting to stay a little out from the busy city centre, good value for money.
- 5/5
The staff and the service provided is phenomenal. Friendly, helpful, and professional — even towards my young teens. Makes the entire stay in NY an absolute pleasure.
- 1/5
30 days later funds still not returned to card for security deposit
- 5/5
The staff were particularly courteous and helpful. They gave us an upgrade to a large and comfortable room. Great value! We will certainly come again.

We stayed for 4 nights with our two teenage sons. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful, the rooms were great and very clean and comfortable and the location excellent. When we had a problem with the AC someone came and fixed it immediately. Also, we thought it was really good value.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Room was nice.
- 5/5
Overall a very good experience and we’re likely to stay again.
- 4/5
Excellent location to attend concert at the Beacon and to explore the Upper Westside.

They had a great restaurant on the corner (Viand Café), and just a good time.

Amazing location and great hotel.
- 5/5
The location was great. Beautiful area. Close to Central Park and the Hudson. Easy walk to grocery stores, shops and cafes
- 5/5
We were staying at hotel Beacon for one night. We had a wedding to attend. The man at the front desk asked us if we would like a room high up and we said yes! The lobby smelled beautifully clean, and when we walked into the room, we had an amazing view of the tops of buildings and we could see the Hudson River in the distance. It was so beautiful! Thank you hotel Beacon for making our night in New York City so memorable!
- 3/5
It was a fine hotel
- 5/5
Next door to Beacon Theater. Nice kitchenette in room. Comfortable beds, clean.
- 4/5
Staff great. Stayed at the junior suite room - spacey But the room was stinking (i think someone was smoking) There is a considerable wear and tear in the room, and some basic maitnantce and renovation should be done there Overall, because of the location and staff i would return there.
