Reviews
The hotel is highly praised for its excellent location, with many guests appreciating its proximity to Central Park and various shopping and dining options. The staff is consistently described as friendly, helpful, and accommodating. However, there are some inconsistencies in the quality of service, with a few guests expressing dissatisfaction with certain staff members. The rooms are generally well-liked for their size and cleanliness, but some guests find them outdated or in need of maintenance. The hotel's restaurant and bar receive mixed reviews, with some guests enjoying their experiences while others find the service and food quality lacking.

Lowes Regency Park Avenue My stay was wonderful because of the staff.. The room was clean and quiet room service was fast and the food was wonderful at the bar and grill, oh and good coffee too… I love the neighborhood and I have found my NYC hotel… We were greeted by Kennedy in the elevator and she immediately asked if she could do anything for us now or in the future to make our stay more comfortable as did all the staff…thank you Lowe’s Regency Park Ave One more thing great sheets…

The location of the Loews Regency New York Hotel is truly one of its best features, perfectly situated on Park Avenue in the heart of the Upper East Side with easy access to Central Park, museums, shopping, and some of the city’s best restaurants. What made the stay even more memorable was the incredibly warm and attentive staff, who went above and beyond to make every interaction feel welcoming and effortless. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not align with the price point or the reputation of the hotel. Small details felt excessively overpriced, from the $16 bottles of water in the room to room service pricing that felt more like gouging than luxury hospitality, and the breakfast was surprisingly underwhelming, tasting more like average hotel fare than something expected from a property of this caliber. I’m especially disappointed because staying at the Loews Regency New York Hotel had been on my must visit list for years. While the location and staff were wonderful, the overall value simply did not justify the cost, and unfortunately I would not choose to stay here again.

the location is safe and the perfect spot for going out to elegant and fun restaurants. The guards are there 24/7 and the staff is friendly and very accommodating! When I arrived at 4:30pm (check in time is 4pm) I had to wait until 6pm for my room to be ready. This made me a little late to my dinner plans. Other than that there are only good things to say about this hotel.

This is the only hotel I stay in when I come to NYC. Everyone there is amazing!

You pay a lot of money to stay at this hotel with no complimentary bottles of water in the room. They offer 12.00 bottles of water. I didn't even drink one, and I was billed 16.00 for one that I picked up and looked at. The toilet paper and tissue paper are thin and rough.

If you look for very expensive breakfast but you can see some bankers and politicians. Old rooms, shower in a very outdated bathtub, not at all suitable for the price of the room, The staff is very unfriendly, very condescending and unpleasant, there is no way to get help or a pleasant attitude from them.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. The staff is amazing at every level of customer contact. They weren’t just passively helpful, they were actively trying to make our day and our stay better or easier. Phenomenal location of course and the amenities/room are top notch.

- 5/5
Hotel is very nice great location and rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly.
- 3.5/5
For the price it's not more fancy/luxury than others that are half the price, eg Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott. The bathroom is small. No fridge. No wine glasses. Basic showerhead. Spa massage way too expensive ($400/hr if tip factored in)
- 5/5
Excellent stay, very clean spacious rooms. Location is great - close to everything. Only downfall was the bathroom, very tiny with a pedestal sink right next to the toilet, not great for women who need to get ready.

Very friendly, smiley welcome out front from Javier - not to mention great help pulling up in front of the hotel so i could valet (he stopped traffic!) - and a warm welcome from Victor at the front desk. Also my bags were very, very promptly brought upstairs which I appreciate as I was in a rush to go meet clients!

Great housekeeping.
- 4/5
I did not like that the room did nir have a coffe machine and there is only one coffe shop close to the hotel no many options
- 5/5
Great location and beautiful hotel needs usb ports for charging
- 3/5
Very convenient location to walk to museums. Dining options also walkable, as were shopping. Staff was helpful, friendly and professional. King Suite was large and tub was a luxury. My rating is because I expected a 4-star room and it felt low-rent. Plastic tile floors in main area. The bed seemed to be without a box spring which made it really low to the ground. The mattress needed an update as well. The room needs some updating.
- 5/5
Everyone was helpful and super friendly.
- 5/5
Great staff, great place, beautiful rooms, amazingly big for NYC
- 5/5
The property is older; needs renovations to bring it to 22 st century with period details. Our compliments to all employees who made us feel welcome and gave us the VIP treatment.
- 5/5
Really appreciated having ice delivered to the room
- 5/5
excellent
- 5/5
Nice location and hotel.
- 3/5
The room was quite average, lacking adequate wardrobe and storage facilities—essentially just an open space with a hanging rail. The drawers available were small and could not fit too much. The bathroom appeared outdated, and the attempts to modernise it were poorly executed. For instance, the taps were awkwardly positioned and difficult to access. I could not believe that someone could design the space so badly. The tub and shower were old and scratched. In the bathroom, the socket for the hairdryer was loose, posing a potential health and safety hazard. We could not use it. The breakfast was average. We only had breakfast at the hotel one morning, as it did not justify the high cost.
- 5/5
We stayed at the Lowe’s for 6 nights and it was one of the best hotel stays I have had. Everything was top notch. Clean, beautiful, and great location. The room was so comfortable and very spacious. But, the best part was how kind and helpful every hotel employee was. Will definitely be booking another stay.
- 4/5
The room was a little tired and could have used some fresher furniture
- 4/5
Great property with excellent staff. My only complaint was noise above my 3rd floor room. It sounded like chairs being dragged on the floor all night long for the entire time of our stay.
- 5/5
We loved our spacious hotel room. Usually the rooms in nyc are small but the Loews are big. Service was great!
- 5/5
Great location, awesome staff.
- 5/5
Excellent in every way! And what makes it so coal are the staff members who are so helpful & so friendly.
- 4/5
Great location. Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff. My room had a musty odor. The toilet paper was the very cheap kind, super thin. I expect more from Lowes/price.
- 5/5
We love Loews Regency NYC. The staff is exceptional and the rooms are very comfortable.
- 5/5
We were in NY a couple of days to visit my daughter. Each time I approached the desk staff for anything, they just couldn’t care enough to actually address the problem. We were woken up by LOUD drilling. The answer? “I’ll pass on your concern to the manager”. Need a key, extend your stay, get water for the room, anything was really just more than they wanted to deal with (Bell guys were amazing). The Loews is not the most expensive hotel in NYC, but is certainly not inexpensive in any way. It’s also not the nicest or only hotel in NYC and their desk service has convinced me that they’d like me to go back to The Pierre. Thanks Loews!

- 5/5
All around great experience. Fantastic staff!
- 4/5
Our stay was lovely. The room was very large, bed was super comfortable. The location is great. The staff was very friendly and the bar, while quite expensive was fun and lively. The servers in bar were wonderful. Our only complaint was housekeeping which failed to do turn down service while specifically requested. But… the hotel and management handled the situation professionally and to our satisfaction. We will definitely be there every time we are in New York.
- 5/5
The hotel was very comfortable, the counter was friendly but the concierge was very rude.
- 5/5
The staff
- 3/5
The location was very good. Elevator security. Women that checked me in had me wait almost two hours for a room. She couldn’t answer basic questions about the hotels. I did not like the breakfast plus it was served cold instead of hot. I did not like the coffee. It was very bitter. Also very little area in the bathroom. No vanity to speak of. The electric outlet was across the toilet and so was the makeup mirror, making it impossible to use. No large tub for a nice bath. Room also in need of maintenance. Chipped tub, clogged sink, paint peeling off the ceiling, rug needs to be re-stretched so you don’t keep tripping over it. Pillows were extremely mushy.

Very clean well maintained room. Great towels and linen. Typical small NYC room size. Very quiet. Only disappointment - could not use meal credit for breakfast because restaurant was totally booked.

This is my second time stay in this hotel .. love everything about it but the hotel needs renovation.
- 5/5
Kind and efficient service, above and beyond (w/small exception of restaurant - menu and food are terrific, service was solicitous but so-so in terms of efficiency) - room was comfortable and quiet, had everything I needed.
- 4/5
Perfect location and the bed was fairly comfy. The bathroom was tiny and very outdated and could have been cleaner.

Staff is always so helpful. Robert have great recommendations for dinner
- 3/5
Nice location but way overpriced for an average room Not enough amenities. Bar ok
- 3/5
Easy access for all things on Madison Avenue and for those shopping to drop their bags off. If not there for the location its very pricey, old hotel, rooms are tiny, absolutely no view from the window, apart for other buildings utilities. Ok.... but would probably stay somewhere else in the area on my next visit.
- 5/5
Great experience!

Bads.
- 5/5
Hotel was great but service in restaurant was disappointing and the food mediocre.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, great spa
- 5/5
The blind of our room (1625) couldnt be raised, we reported but nothing happened.
- 5/5
Hotel is very nice and it’s located in a quieter area which is not bad. I didn’t like the fact that the restaurant is very expensive, overpriced and on top of that the two times we went to eat there, one at dinner time and the other during breakfast, we felt like the employees will look at us from top to bottom and ignore us just because of the way we were dressed which was not on a suit and tie so I didn’t feel comfortable, appreciated and definitely not welcome as a guest of the hotel
- 4/5
In 5 star hotel , we stayed at luxury room , we expected the have coffee machine in the room and a minimum of complimentary bottled water upon arrival.
- 3/5
Our room was ready when we arrived at 11:00 am but they wanted to charge $175 for early check in So we left the luggage and came back at 4:00 pm, then we asked for our luggage and the wanted to charge $6 per suitcase When I was doing the check out I ask for water and they say with a very bad attitude that they need to charge me extra for water because I already did the checkout It’s crazy. And never happened before in any hotel

Great hotel and great area
- 5/5
Everyone was courteous, helpful and very accommodating. Rosina and all the doormen went above and beyond for us and it was greatly appreciated.
- 4/5
The location was fantastic. Staff was great. The quality of the Bar and Grill was lacking (except for the burger which was great); especially for the price. For the price, I would have expected coffee/tea and a microwave and refrigerator in the room. I didn't receive a room upgrade.

This is our favorite hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant is good. There is a nice spa on the grounds and there are many restaurants within walking distance. The park is near and we’ve even walked to and from the theatre district. (About 20 minutes) There are several churches within a block or 2.

- 5/5
Good property, but needs some updates.
- 1/5
The property was in a nice location, I have no complaints of the actual property except that our room air conditioner was not functional so we had to open our windows to get some breeze, luckily the weather cooperated but I still expected for the type of hotel this is, for the ac to get fixed. Moving on.... I contacted Loews on my way to the airport and reported that my sons Airpods Max were left in our room and we explained that my son has gps on his airpod max and it showed it was in our room and then we notice how it moved from the hotel to somewhere in NewYork, the next morning my son checked and the airpod max were back at the hotel, this leads us to believe this was taken by someone at housekeeping. I called and spoke to a security and gave him exact address where the gps was showing the pods to be at, I was promised a call back but still after a week, no one has contacted me. I am a forever Loews patron and after this event, I will never be staying at loews again.
- 3/5
The staff communicated well via text, however despite confirming my email, I never received my final bill. The room and bathroom were not as clean as I would have expected. There were hairs in the bathroom and watermarks on the night tables.
