Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests appreciating the clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, the breakfast was consistently criticized for its limited options and poor quality. The location was convenient for some, but others found it lacking in dining options and unsafe at night.

Well maintained clean property. Very basic amenities. Enjoyable stay
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
Room was clean and small but comfortable enough for one. air conditioning worked well. good access to subway. the breakfast provided was a disappointment. No fresh fruit or refrigerated items such as yogurt were provided as they typically are at other similar locations.
- 5/5
Room was small, but clean, the amenities were good, and we had a great view of the Manhattan skyline.
- 5/5
Nice hotel for its price. Breakfast was minimal, but there is a fantastic bagel shop two blocks away. Convenient to the subway. Quiet.
- 4/5
Dated but friendly staff and quiet for bk
- 3/5
Property location is accessible and clean rooms with free wifi They say good breakfast and they only serve bread, butter and coffee they don’t even serve eggs for breakfast which is common item for any breakfast
- 4/5
Clean linens & room. Helpful staff. I was surprised at the variety/options included in the free breakfast - it was great! Minor issues with maintenance - our toilet clogged and we notified the desk. 11 hours later, after arriving back to the room, it still wasn't fixed or checked, but staff was responsive and quickly delivered a key to us for one of the neighboring rooms so we could use that toilet. Which, actually was kind of nice to have the privacy as there were three of us in our room! Area with chairs/tables for smoking outdoors. We didn't use the parking but the on-site spots would be a major bonus if we had had a car. Surprisingly quiet area with walkable access to great food and subway access. Gravesend pizza delivers to the hotel and it's excellent! Also, great value!!!
- 3/5
Hotel was ok but in the room some of the floor was missing (wood floor) - found used contacts on the floor as well near the bed. The window was nice minus a slash in the screen which deferred me from using to avoid having bugs come in. The free complimentary breakfast was certainly lacking. Also wish they had provided complimentary water.
- 5/5
Good, clean and nice.....
- 5/5
Staff were extremely helpful. Got good number of parking space in Brooklyn. Good connectivity to subway.
- 3/5
Room gave me and my partner a lot of allergies, I don’t think it was cleaned very well. We also saw a bug on the bathroom floor. No outlets next to bed. Otherwise, the room was okay, shower was really good.
- 4.5/5
Clean and great location. The staff was very helpful. The vending machine was broke at the time.

The room was clean and breakfast was available so that was nice. Staff were nice as well.
- 5/5
This is a basic hotel but very clean. Breakfast is provided which is nice. Staff are helpful. Was there for a work meeting and totally appropriate for the task and the area.
- 1/5
Room was dirty with mold in the shower, breakfast wasn’t just bad - it was somehow actually sad and depressing, staff were disengaged at best, and there is nooooo space to even walk around the bed in the room. On the positive side, location is convenient! We ended up leaving a day early even though they made it clear we would still be charged. It was just too gross.
- 3/5
Very basic but comfortable.

- 5/5
Nice and clean! The staff were very friendly!! The location is close to everything, but the street looks like in the 60-s in the movies. Graffiti is everywhere, garbage is on the streets,
- 4/5
Good for its location, super clean modern room, the only real complaint was how noisy it was. You'd hear anyone leaving or coming to their room. Also had a bit of trouble working the thermostat, but beyond that it was good.
- 5/5
Nice place parking spot for free if there is some
- 3.5/5
The really appreciated the free parking when available. The rooms were clean and it was a great location to take the subway to Time Square I told the check in clerk that I wanted my room cleaned everyday and the young lady the next morning was hesitant to have someone to clean the room after 11 am.

All good
- 4/5
The L Hotel was clean and well maintained. Our rooms were very comfortable. We did find a parking spot amongst the limited space available. There was some on street space. Breakfast was good but minimal, no fruit. There was a very helpful attendant. Close to Industrial City.

Breakfast was sad, the only hot breakfast to score was a do it yourself waffle machine. Cups for coffee were way too small! 4-6oz. And the choices were absolutely bare minimal. They could do better.
- 4/5
I loved that the room was very clean and parking was a bonus! The breakfast however should have had more options.

- 5/5
Great place to stay in Brooklyn. The staff were really nice, and the room was comfy. Close to the subway and a whole lotta local bodegas and resturants. Check out industry city nearby, gravesend pizza, or Big Johns. Would stay here again 😎
- 5/5
The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and is not too far away from Manhattan. The staff was friendly. There's plenty of places to eat around the area.
- 5/5
Everything It was good parking , Breakfast & clean beds Thank you !
- 5/5
Everything was clean when I arrived, with an exception from the floors (general dust). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay, so I skipped it most days, only had it twice. Bagel, white bread, muffins, cereal, coffee, water, juice, and waffles. I preferred to eat out instead. Overall, I will be returning.
- 3/5
The service desk attendant was very nice and helpful. We ran into problems immediately unfortunately. The room we were given hadn't been cleaned and had a mess from a previous guest. The new room we received was better cleaned. However, the lamp shade was broken, the coffee maker was really dusty, and the wall paper was peeling in large sections. The photos taken of this place must have been from when they first opened because it does not look like that anymore. I feel like we were catfished. The two good things I can say about the hotel are that there weren't any bugs and it was in a good location. We will not be back to this hotel though.
- 3/5
The hotel needs to be updated
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and breakfast was good
- 3/5
El hotel aceptable, en una zona muy fea pero cerca del subte. El desayuno MALO
- 4/5
The accommodation was decent for the price. The only complain we had was one of the bath towels has someone’s hair on it. Maybe it was not cleaned thoroughly. But over all it was nice experience.
- 3/5
Small parking lot but it’s New York it’s to be expected. They do offer parking passes for the street if the lot is full
- 2.5/5
Overall was fine. I wish there were more options for Breakfast and few fresh fruits etc

A little dirty
- 4/5
very little parking but very close to subway and accessible for ubers. walking distance to many different food options/delis, a bar and gas station
- 4/5
There was no room cleaning. We had problems with the room key several times. I expected more from the breakfast, at least hot food.
- 4/5
Had a clean room. Breakfast was good but it started at 7:30, which was often too late for me. No work out room.
- 3/5
Hotel is in a convenient spot.
- 3/5
The hotel was okay overall for a quick stay, but definitely needed some maintenance. There were holes in the walls and wallpaper peeling up in a few areas, which made it feel a little run down. Breakfast was very basic with limited options. The location was convenient and near a shopping center which was nice.
- 1/5
Felt catfished hotel looks nothing like pictures that’s online
- 5/5
It was clean and nice . The hotel is not very big but there was breakfast and a very friendly staf f. Great place to stay if your just mostly exploring around
- 3/5
Breakfast was bland, no variety. Microwave didn’t work, had to change rooms three times due to strong cleaning solution odor that made us ill, what looked like blood stains on the back of the drapes, nightstand drawer wouldn’t close, vending machine took only change but front desk didn’t have any quarters, and still waiting for refund for a room I canceled within an hour of booking. Will not stay there again.
- 4/5
Limited parking spaces . However once I found a spot I felt my car was secure. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
Room was clean and all appliances, including a micro-wave, functioned well. Only small drawback was that the hotel wifi does not work at the table outside for smoking.
- 4/5
Was ok for the money. No lobby to speak of, didn’t try the breakfast.
- 4/5
James and Agenes were very helpful and efficient.
- 5/5
Didn't do breakfast, staff was good, parking is on a first come first serve Basis!
- 4/5
Nice parking, clean room and great place
- 5/5
Clean beds, quiet room, good parking. Not much to walk to right around, but safe enough neighborhood.
- 3/5
Breakfast 1 customer service 1
- 4/5
The hotel is conveniently located near Japanese Village and train stations.
- 5/5
very nice
- 5/5
Breakfast and parking included
- 5/5
It was a very relaxed visit for us. The front desk and the room service / housekeeping folks were extremely patient, helpful, and showed great humanity in meeting our personal needs. In addition to the comfortable bedding, shower, room essentials made for a very pleasant visit for us. Thanks guys. We appreciate you.
- 2/5
Parking lot behind the hotel is small. First come first serve basis. The breakfast is only bagels, muffins, cereal and fruit juice. There is a waffle maker if you want to make your own waffle. The rooms are small. My room did not have a working tv. I was told there was an issue with the tv provider. The hotel is in a mixed use space that is primarily industrial. Kind of spooky at night.
- 5/5
Very good
- 3/5
The bathroom and room were small! But it was clean ! The staff were nice ! Breakfast was basic and parking is definitely first come first served! The first night we had parking!
- 5/5
amazing stay, everything clean
- 4/5
A fine budget hotel. Easy access to Metro.
- 5/5
Very new and clean and the kindest staff. Great location and positive vibes. Thank you
- 4/5
Parking was surprisingly nice for the area, and the room was great. There were no breakfast options I could eat though
- 5/5
The L Hotel is an excellent value for a cozy stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making mine and my boyfriend’s experience even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated the convenient parking available in the back. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, adding to the overall comfort. I will definitely continue to book this hotel for future stays!
- 5/5
Excellent value. Room and hallways were clean, everything was in good condition. Short walk to 36th street subway station which made travel easy. Good location for grab-and-go food and corner stores.
- 3/5
It was good
- 4/5
It was just fine!
- 4/5
Overall good value for the price. Breakfast was nothing special and the room felt a little run-down but it was sufficient for our trip. Location was better than expected - short walk to subway and Industry City shopping and restaurants.
- 4/5
Breakfast is not good. coffee is watered down. Rooms are not clean. Lots of hair on floors
- 5/5
Very limited parking and the room next to us was extremely loud.
- 5/5
The breakfast was simple but pretty good, a waffle station, toast and among other things. Just remenber your toiletries.
- 5/5
Clean,great comfort,quiet area,staff was pleasant
- 1/5
Not helpful
- 4/5
The bed and bathroom were on point. The in-room refrigerator was excellent. Overall, it was decent and very affordable.
- 5/5
Parking was offered for free but was limited to maybe 10 spots. Street parking was also available but NY is not known for many of these. It worked out great for our 1 day stay. The rooms were small but perfect. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
ok
- 3/5
I like location. Staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Great hotel located in brooklyn. Close to interesting places and restaurants and with parking which is a rare find in New York. Relaxing stay with breakfast.
- 4/5
The L is a solid value within walking distance to a few decent restaurants. Room was clean and in order. Bathroom feature a good shower. Reported loose wallpaper on one wall, desk guy said he would report. Breakfast not special. Walk a couple blocks if you want a complete menu.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was helpful. Great value for price. Parking was first come first serve and maybe the tightest parking lot ive ever seen in my life.
- 5/5
I loved the hotel would definitely be staying again
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable. I come here weekly for work
- 4/5
The breakfast set up was good!
- 5/5
I love this hotel, the family that runs it are very accommodating. If I could change anything, it would be the breakfast - add some whole grain offerings.
- 4/5
Parking is easy and secure
- 4/5
Room was small but clean, perfect for a quick trip. Our room was semi-underground and our window was ground level with the parking lot. Parking was available which was the biggest bonus. Breakfast was good for a weekday continental stay!
- 3/5
Breakfast was kinda pitiful. Waffle maker, bagels, muffins, oatmeal were the only options
- 2/5
Can’t complaint for the price bed was really hard and pictures on website deceiving room was very old wall paper coming off the walls room was very out dated
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
The breakfast is conditional, no eggs or potatoes, but still can fill you stomach for the morning and have a good for coffee or tea.
- 5/5
Great place; Quiet, clean ...
- 2/5
Mold in shower, lamp with no knob to turn on, shower head full of crud, bloodstain (?) on sheet-- it was awful. Nice employees, but the room we had was one of the worst ever. Reviews are either fake, or we got the 1 terrible room. Fronr desk was apologetic, had no idea, gave us late check out. Better than nothing at all i guess.
- 4/5
Small room. No outlets for phone. I used the bathroom outlet. Pulled the mattress away from the wall to look for one. The headboard behind the mattress was dirty with no accessible outlet.Front desk at check in was pleasant.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay. I will recommend staying there it was peaceful.
- 5/5
The stay was great .
- 3/5
Stay was ok main thing is onsite parking, hotel and rooms clean but tv was out call front desk they say someone will come and fix it it was never fixed for my 2 night stay.
- 4/5
Breakfast was pretty plain
- 4/5
Every things good
- 5/5
Breakfast was minimal but fine. The room was clean and updated with the original floors. The walls are definitely thin, but it wasn't terrible. I would definitely stay here again. Great location, close to the train and cool little places to eat.
- 5/5
Clean room, simple check in
- 5/5
Clean and quiet place to be while you’re in the city
- 4/5
Parking is first come to first serve.
- 4/5
Parking only available for about 7 cars. Had to fight for street parking.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
A nice small hotel. Was able to get a good night's sleep
- 4/5
The only downfall was very limited parking. That's to be expected in New York I suppose. Subway was close to use so once we found parking we didn't have to move our vehicle
- 3/5
It was about what you pay for, cheaper hotel, room was okay, breakfast is pretty limited but overall it was okay if you need a cheap place.
- 1/5
The location was mis represented in the map.
- 5/5
Clean rooom staff friendly
- 5/5
Fast check in clean rooms and parking available
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
The room was decent, the contiental breakfast was ok.
- 5/5
Clean room in a cool area. Easy to check in and out.
- 4/5
Breakfast could be updated with things like eggs, beacons and fruits.
- 5/5
The place was clean and friendly staff...
- 4/5
Def a diamond in the rough. The neighborhood sucks, aside from industry city down the block. There is parking in front and behind. Building is newish and the rooms are clean and pretty modern, albeit small, as expected. Bed was firm and comfy. Breakfast is included although we didn’t partake. Will def stay again when in the area.
- 4/5
You smell marjauana in the elevator . The room has no closet , no iron or iron board , we gave to ask them to come and take the trash out . No toothpaste or toothbrush
- 4/5
The room did not give an option for heat. The room only had a cool and fan option. The breakfast provided was unexpected. There was only cereal and an unsanitary waffle station. The like was served in giant 2 gallon containers at room temperature. No ice or refrigerator was given for beverages or milk that was supposed to be served cold
- 1/5
Not a great stay, do not recommend
- 1/5
The room was not clean.
- 3/5
Room temp and tv was fine
- 5/5
Staff was able to accommodate with parking at our late arrival. Place was perfect for pre cruise and near the subway to visit NYC.
- 4/5
It was good for one night
- 5/5
Good staff
- 3/5
Staff is pretty unfriendly. Make sure you show up at check-in time and not even a minute before or they will try and charge you their early check-in fee. Unfortunately I saw a few parties being hassled about it. Other than that, no complaints. Hotel is clean enough and close to subways so it does the job.
- 4/5
The breakfast was a nice idea but they didnt have any protein options. Its all bread! Their parking is LIMITED. I luckly found a spot, but expedia does not market it like that. It said "parking included" but there is no warning that it is not guaranteed. If you check in on the weekend you should have a back up plan for your car and research other parking areas just in case. And if you have a big vehicle you will have issues navigating the tight space where the parking is located behind the hotel. The staff was nice, no complaints. The walls are thin so expect to hear your neighbors if the botel is busy. The proximity to the subway was good. Overall i would probably stay again as long as: 1. i brought a protein for breakfast or was willing to eat out. 2. Had a back up parking plan 3. Didnt check in on a weekend when super busy.
- 5/5
In my first room, the air-conditioning was perfect however, in the second room, I had problems with my thermostat and it would not allow me to cut on the air. The staff allowed me to switch rooms due to availability.
- 4/5
Simple lodging moments away from Industry City and right on the Subway line. I've stayed here a couple of times so, yes I would go back.
- 1/5
Lobby nice room carpet was soaked from bathroom shower leak
- 5/5
Rooms, sheets, bedding are always spotless white /clean, and staff is always helpful, thoughtful and considerate.
- 5/5
We always have a great stay here. The rooms are always clean, cozy and the staff is always accommodating, courteous and professional.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious and warm room, friendly & courteous staff.
- 5/5
Our room was nice, cozy, warm, clean & spacious. The staff @ check-in and check-out was courteous, friendly and helpful. Always willing to assist with all our needs! I give the L hotel in Brooklyn 5 stars
- 5/5
It was great
- 3/5
Otherwise a comfortable affordable and convenient hotel.
- 1/5
Le petit déjeuner n’était pas correcte il y avait seulement des céréales, pains, gaufres, jus de pomme et jus de canneberge.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Quiet, respectful, welcoming, clean, safe, reliable, and a cafeteria with a computer place.
- 5/5
Very clean and good hospitality especially front desk
- 5/5

Nice,clean
- 5/5
Me gustó mucho, escogí habitación con vista a la ciudad y se veía toda , todo estaba limpio y el desayuno súper bueno
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
The room was very clean, staff very helpful and courteous, and breakfast served on time.
- 4/5
Pretty nice clean
- 4/5
Cleaning had to be requested and the breakfast they offer isn't American, but otherwise everything was fine
- 2/5
There is no control over the parking spaces; we had to leave the vehicle under the bridge on the next street. Very poor “continental” breakfast — it consists only of carbohydrates: muffins, cereal, bread with jam or cream cheese, waffles (which you have to cook yourself), coffee, milk, and apple juice.
- 5/5
Everything was great room was warm on a very cold day
- 3/5
Fix the shower doors, they don't stay closed and floor slippery in shower, other than that was comfortable
- 4/5
Clean room. Tv was a bit off in connection but other then that everything was good.
- 5/5
Room was clean. The staff are very accommodating. I like the microwave in the room.
- 3/5
The room was tiny and curtains stained. Stayed one night to be close to port.
- 1/5
The customer service was horrible….. the receptionist
- 4/5
yes room was great. room for improvement on breakfast
- 4/5
Quality is not bad. Staffs are nice.
- 4/5
Great location at a very affordable price. The city view from the 6th floor is fantastic. The rooms are clean. My biggest disappointment was breakfast. Only carb options
- 5/5
Quiet clean reserved location Just what I needed for my weekend getaway
- 4/5
Clean room, nice staff, good location. I think it will enhance the comfortable stay experience if the hotel can provide the in room usable slipper for the guest.
- 4/5
The location was perfect for the business I had to conduct in the area.
- 5/5
Love it
- 1/5
Not good
- 5/5
If you're looking for a great stay in Brooklyn, NY, this hotel is definitely worth considering. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Plus, the free breakfast was a nice bonus, offering a variety of options to kick-start the day. We were also impressed by the cleanliness of our room, which made for a comfortable and relaxing experience. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.
- 4/5
Older but very clean and comfortable room. Renovated, modern room.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Staff was very helpful and friendly
- 4/5
The room was clean and had what we needed, even though it was a small, no-frills space. The price was great! It suited our needs perfectly and we also really appreciated the free continental breakfast. The area has good food and shopping options nearby, especially at Industry City, and lots of green space nearby at Greenwood Cemetary and also Sunset Park (the actual park, not neighborhood) if you're willing to walk about 10-ish blocks.
- 3/5
staff and room was great! The bed was hard and i just couldn’t get comfortable, reason for 3 stars. Location was great and parking was a huge plus!
- 4/5
Everyone hung was good expect noise.
- 4/5
Courteous staff
- 1/5
The room were not kept the most clean as possible, marks and stuff around the room. I reached out about checking in early the staff just never responded. Overall, you would be able to find better for the same price
- 5/5
Had a great stay at the L hotel. Very quiet place and friendly helpful staff. Some fresh options like fruit at breakfast would have been appreciated but the bagels and coffee were good! Having breakfast included in the overall price was great. Would stay again!
- 3/5

Noisy air conditioner, couldn’t sleep the whole night. Horrible breakfast, tiny basement couldn’t even hold more than 10 people
- 5/5
Everything was great! Will definitely book again !
- 5/5
No parking fee
- 5/5
All of the above
- 5/5
The L hotel staff was pleasant, cordial people friendly, courteous and welcoming. The rooms, vestibule, elevators and hallways were all exceptionally Clean. The food choices were a nice treat too.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay and felt it was reasonable considering the location. Cant wait to go back to NYC
- 4/5
Spent 1
- 4/5
Clean rooms and linens, quiet, only thing I didn't like were the pillows... But I really a good simple place to rest..
- 1/5
The mini fridge was off and dirty, had a foul smell, the breakfast was bear minimum,
- 5/5
Staff was nice enough
- 2/5
The room we were given was on “C” floor right next to the breakfast room. It was very noisy and we could hear people coming and going all night. The bed’s mattress was pretty old and hard. Overall the staff were friendly and the location was close to our friend’s house but otherwise I felt the cost of the room was overpriced for what it was.
- 4/5
Place was clean and quiet and that’s all I can ask for.
- 3/5
yes
- 5/5
Muy buena ubicación y excelente servicio
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and parking
- 4/5
The room is clean, staffs are friendly.
- 1/5
Nothing good about breakfast
- 4/5
Room was clean, and staff friendly
- 5/5
Breakfast could be more delectable…
- 4/5
Price is the point. Not a ton of amenities but very affordable and was perfect for a place to stay the night. Breakfast wasn't terrible but wasn't much more than waffles, cereal, muffin. Rooms are tight but fine if you're not planning to live in them. Came into town for a concert and was perfect for us. Thanks!
- 5/5
Always a pleasure
- 3/5
The price I paid may have been reasonable, but it was nothing to sneeze at. I expected better. It felt like a cheap Airbnb. I read one review that was positive, so I thought it would be better without really looking into it more. I expected something more modern, and clean! I only booked it because it was in Brooklyn, and I had business in the area. It's not bad if you keep your expectations low, but not something I'd personally book again. It's like one of those places people book just to hookup.
- 5/5
Very convenient, close to subway clean, breakfast was good . Hotel was clean.
- 4/5
Nice room, nice staff, pretty convenient location
- 3/5
There are no amenities other than a very basic breakfast. Rooms are bare bones.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, easy check in. Easy parking.staff was nice.
- 3/5
The room had marks on the walls and was sort of sad looking. It wasn’t ideal being directly across from the breakfast area and in a room that was half underground. It was noisy and there was lots of kitchen/work related banging early in the morning.
- 5/5
Easy check in and clean room
- 3/5
Bathroom was a lil dirty abs room was in the basement of hotel.
- 3/5
Really cold, heat wasn't working. Breakfast options are really bad.
- 4/5
Near a subway station , a bit far away from everything.
- 5/5
The walls were a little thin (and my basement floor room came with a scenic view out the window of the rear parking lot), but otherwise it was a clean, comfortable, accommodating stay of acceptable quality and I am completely satisfied. Staff were nice, too; The receptionist helped clear up my booking error over the phone before my arrival.
- 5/5
Everything was great except no soap in the bathroom. Should have brought my own.
- 5/5
Excellent service and clean
- 5/5
Our room was a bit small but clean and the staff very courteous and helpful! The breakfast bar was nice and they allowed us stored our luggage after checkout so we could explore the City more before our flight. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the 36th St. subway stop, a great pizza spot and convenience stores. If you're looking for an affordable nice place to stay in NYC, L Hotel is a great choice!
- 5/5
Yes - all very good.
- 4/5
Nice place, would return
- 3/5
Breakfast is very basic: one or two cereals, white toast, waffles, and watered-down juice that doesn’t taste like apple or cranberry. No protein, no eggs, no real options if you're expecting something substantial. The upside, the staff. They’re genuinely kind, responsive, and helpful. There are a few food spots within a 3 to 5 minute walk, a couple of them open late; maybe even 24 hours. you'd have to confirm. Just keep in mind this is a commercial area, so there’s nothing to do nearby. The subway is close, cheap and easy to access. If you just need an affordable place to sleep outside the city, don’t care about amenities, want a very simple continental breakfast, and value professional service over aesthetics, then I’d recommend it. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere.
- 3/5
Stains all over wallpaper in room. Random screws sticking out of furniture. Curtain stick was on the floor broken. Claimed to have a view of the statue of liberty so paid more for city view. Could not see it.
- 4/5
Yes it was adequate. The Breakfast was sub par, zero protein offered.
- 5/5
The distance to the subway, the event we were attending, the easiness to add an extra day when our flight was cancelled, and the quietness.
- 5/5
The neighborhood is my favorite part. We love the pizza from Gravesend, We LOVE LOVE the halal chicken from the Finest Deli. We love bagels from sunset bagels. Stay here. You won’t regret it.
- 1/5
It was understaff no one answered the phone pictures are not accurate
- 3/5
Furniture is old, wallpaper is peeling and fixed with tape, breakfast is boring and all starch, guests can be super noisy as walls are thin. Not sure where staff was during the noise. Not enough parking spots.
- 3/5
The staff was great! The stay would have been fine if it was only one night, but 4 nights on that bed requires a chiropractor visit. No frills, very basic room, but the water pressure and heat was great. Good, safe neighborhood. We did breakfast the first day and it wasn’t worth the trip downstairs for the rest of our visit.
- 5/5
Fantastic staff very clean room love the amenities this all around great stay!
- 4/5
Family was satisfied
- 5/5
; clean and modern. Close to Barclays. Bfast included. Would stay again.
- 1/5
First room was dirty and filled with mold Second room was OK went to breakfast, and there were roaches in the food in the coffee and crawling on the table
- 5/5
Everything was good.
- 4/5
Clean.
- 2/5
The photos of this hotel must have been old as this hotel is not in the condition I thought it was from the photos online. It’s not dirty but very unkempt, worn old floor mats and rugs, stained curtains, peeling wallpaper, etc. They put me in a basement room with windows that didn’t lock and could have easily been opened from the outside which is extremely dangerous.
- 5/5
Rooms were cleaned facilities were well done. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
Parking was easy and area felt safe
- 3/5
This hotel was nice, especially for the price. Clean, nice staff, relatively updated. Very nice bathroom. I would suggest staying on floor 2 or above, as the rooms right off the lobby can be a little noisy, especially when breakfast starts
- 1/5
I never got to check in
- 4/5
Good
- 4/5
Room was fine. Pretty no frills. Which was fine for me.
- 5/5
Great place to stay and affordable
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
The room was clean, the bed comfortable and overall very affordable.
- 3/5
Clean, spacious for NY, breakfast.
- 4/5
Been here three times always clean and quiet and convenient
- 4/5
Stayed 5 nights for a multi-day event at Industry City so the location was perfect. Clean room. Convenient parking out back. Staff was very kind and helpful.
- 3/5
the room smelled like cigarettes, the air conditioner worked but made a noise like a lawn mower, floors were a bit dirty
- 4/5
Staff were courteous and helpful. Convenient location. Bed and air conditioning were comfy. Shower wasn't the best in terms of water pressure or shower head, and I saw the occasional little bug in the bathroom. Overall, not a bad place. Note I did not take advantage of the breakfast, so I can't properly review that.
- 1/5
Shower didn't work, and wallpaper was literally peeling off the wall couldn't even stay in the room.
- 5/5
Hotel was clean, awesome staff!
- 4/5
The room was small but nice for one person for a short stay. Could use some detailed cleaning but nothing that made me not want to spend the night or anything. Staff was great. Would stay again.
- 3/5
Staff was nice but the room was pretty lackluster and dated. The room felt much smaller than what was shown on the pictures. Breakfast was ok
- 3/5
The room wasn't really clean. There were small hairs on many surfaces and in the shower. There was a hair in the refrigerator. The freezer leaked all over anything in the refrigerator. Hand towels would be nice. Outlets on both sides of the bed would be helpful. There was stuff from former guests under the bed. More hangers, a kind of wardrobe space, and or drawers for unpacking.
- 5/5
Great hotel, clean, modern and good location.
- 4/5
A great value for the price, nothing fancy, but a good place to lay your head (speaking of, the pillows were phenomenal). Downside, the walls were a little scuffy, my heat didn't work and there's very minimal parking (6 spaces for the entire hotel to share)
- 5/5
The room was excellent
- 3/5
The room was in a bit of disrepair. Wallpaper peeling, lamp unstable and molding missing in bathroom. TV remote did not always work either.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Only stayed 1 night, was happy with the hotel !
- 2/5
We didn't receive our booked king size bed. They had already booked it. Instead all they had was a double. The "breakfast" if you could call it that, was not good
- 2/5
The lack of shower is inexcusable - it was clear that the staff knew it was an issue.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Everything in the room was nice. Clean, nice bathroom. Breakfast was dismal. Parking is limited
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 3/5
Hotel room down in basement, quite tatty, but clean. On a positive note there were plenty of vending machines so we were able to get something to eat. Chose this hotel for position near to cruise terminal. Did not feel safe enough to go out at night to look for restaurant
- 4/5
Room clean and comfortable, free breakfast very limited (maybe add some fruit) but welcome and proximity to metro at 36th St a big plus for sightseeing and visiting museums
- 3/5
Clean the place up.
- 1/5
We checked into this hotel and left within 30 minutes after booking a room at a different hotel. We took photos of the condition of the room which was dirty, had bugs and wallpaper peeling off the wall. The furniture was so old and peeling. The bed frame felt like it was going to fall apart. We could hear the conversations being held in the room next door - it was so loud. The photos on the Expedia site do NOT represent the actual hotel rooms. As someone who travels several times a year, this was the worst hotel I’ve ever been inside.
- 5/5
The overall condition was very good. Very impressive overall 👏.
- 4/5
We stayed here because it was close to the cruise port. That was our mistake. Next time we’ll stay in a better hotel and pay more for transportation.
- 5/5
Charming hotel in Brooklyn. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. Plenty of supplies.
- 3/5
I did however enjoy the spacious room, comfortable bed, great size bathroom, easy access to the subway, friendly staff, and close enough to NYC!
- 2/5
There was no heat no one came to check to clean the room
- 3/5
Breakfast was very minimal.all carbs no protein.
- 5/5
Excellent service and ease of transport!
- 4/5
Check in was easy. Room was small, but was clean and good for our overnight stay. Room has no closet, iron or ironing board. Parking onsite is available but its minimum. Definitely a first come first serve situation. Cant comment on the breakfast we didn't try it. Overall good experience. No real complaints.
- 4/5
We loved the location for the event we were attending at Industry City. Walkable area and the Citi bikes were a convenient way to get around. The room served its purpose and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Lots of reviews mention the lack of items included in the free breakfast but we never even made it down in time. So many other better local options in the area.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean hotel.
- 3/5
Just ok
- 4/5
Great little place in an unlikely neighborhood. I was in Sunset Park to see a family member at the nearby hospital. Loved free parking, friendly desk guy, comfortable clean room and good bed. Would def stay again if in the area.
- 3/5
Staff was good. Room clean business friendly NO!!!
- 3/5
- 3/5
However, convenient for one night stay
- 5/5
Great location in Brooklyn . Clean , front desk was great . Had breakfast . Bodega close by . The subway just a 5 min walk . Would recommend and stay once in NY.
- 4/5
Room was basic but very clean. But it was in a partial basement and across from the breakfast room, so a bit loud in the AM.
- 4/5
Will visit again
- 4/5
Very good hotel . Room was nice and clean. Very safe and secure. Staff was helpful when needed. Breakfast ok. Go around the corner to Big John Diner!! Great food !!
- 5/5
Los empleados deben hablar español. Preguntamos antes de reservar e indicaron que hablaban.
- 5/5
I have family that lives at 34th Street. The L Hotel is the most convenient to the family. Property is clean. Can a little loud in the hall ways but not late at night. Reasonable price and nice stay.
- 1/5
Dirty and smoke smell in rooms
- 5/5
Quiet and easy to park
- 3/5
The hotel is affordable and not too far from the subway but rooms need to be deep cleaned. The walls are filthy.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Stayed in the area for a concert happening at Barclays Center. Very close to 36th st station, which was an express train stop. A no big fills hotels. Basic rooms which were fine for a quick trip to NYC. Decently sized bathroom. Plenty of little cafes and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel, along with the Industry City complex right there.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff, clean room. Helped me with finding parking.
- 3/5
Average experience
- 3/5
Comfortable bed. Poor quality furniture and dirty surroundings. Very poor continental breakfast.
- 4/5
Clean, easy checkin & checkout, small but comfy room. Neighborhood is great.
- 5/5
Clean, smoke-free, comfortable, metro station nearby, very accessible for getting anywhere, good place to stay.
- 4/5
For a night its good, clean and have a favorable location
- 4/5
No frills, but clean and did the trick. Fairly close to the subway. I had 1 night in NY and this worked out great. some new paint, wallpaper and curtains would up the game substantially. Would recommend for a short stay.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 2/5
The room walls are paper thin at this hotel. We could hear what the room next to us was watching, saying etc. Also the bathroom was not very clean, hair in the shower and stains on the ceiling.
- 5/5
Easy check in check out, perfect place and very affordable
- 4/5
Parking was a little hard since I had a Tahoe. But overall, it was good for the price.
- 5/5
I would stay there again but don't expect anything fancy and the location while good if need to be close by isn't really good for anything else unless you want to see Greenwood Cemetary
- 1/5
Stains on ceiling, mirror and Fleas everywhere!
- 5/5
All gluten non healthy breakfast. No yogert or fruit. Only toast, bagel, waffle.
- 5/5
I genuinely love this place. The rooms are clean, and the customer service is excellent. ❤️
- 5/5
It's a great location and easy to get into different parts of Brooklyn
- 4/5
I like the free parking, but it would be great if they could up the breakfast and add a few items. Like fresh fruit or eggs.
- 5/5
The room was clean and really nice. Appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the TV as well.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Hotel good, area not so…
- 4/5
It definitely was a good experience as last time. I feel the detergent in the sheets might effected us a bit but over all it’s been a good stay
- 4/5
We had a nice, one-night stay. Breakfast wasn't great. No healthy options, like a piece of fruit.
- 1/5
It wasn't clean, breakfast was bad, there isn't shampoo and conditioner
- 5/5
Quiet
- 3/5
Parking is terrible , had to park blocks away and pay .
- 4/5
It fit our needs for 1 night in town. Parking is first come first serve.
- 3/5
Zero out of ten
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
Very clean hotel, I would have no issues booking again. again.
- 4/5
I would stay again
- 3/5
Customer service wasnt great. No room service unless you request it. Not very friendly. But that seems common with newyorkers
- 5/5
The staff were all very kind and helpful
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice
- 5/5
Ok hotel
- 2/5
It was bad experience
- 5/5
Awesome Tim and James enjoyed
- 5/5
Very clean, love that the room had a microwave that was very convenient
- 3/5
Paper thin walls. Breakfast was limited.
- 4/5
El desayuno incluido es bien básico nada de desayuno caliente Aire acondicionado muy bueno y limpio No hay buenos sitios para comer cerca Todo es mejicano y delis sicios Pero vale la pena por su precio
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
Awesome can’t wait to come back see you guys on the 9 th
- 3/5
Room service just by request. Breakfast does not have any fruits or yogurt
- 5/5
After an issue with A/C the first night, the staff was courteous and accomodating in getting things sorted out. I extended my stay for 2 more nights.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean, had a good continental breakfast, and nice room. There are many restaurants, deli’s, corner stores. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Subway by walking. At first we thought the area looked a bit scary at night, however it was actually very safe.
- 2/5
The only plus is free parking but very limited.
- 1/5
This place looks nothing like the photos. I would never come here again. They have parking but it’s very limited. The place is very run down and out dated. I do not recommend
- 5/5
Good communications and flexibility
- 5/5
Very nice, clean, updated hotel. Nice area. Walking distance to the subway. Quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
People are nice
- 5/5
It was perfect for 1 night. The room air conditioning was great! The bathroom was super clean and the walk in shower was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the parking was very easy. You can see your car from the window in the room. Staff were very nice, clear, and straight to the point. The front desk has clear signs about parking, breakfast, etc. I enjoyed my stay!
- 4/5
Hotel close to downtown Brooklyn with clean rooms and free breakfast. Only issue was limited parking.
- 3/5
Wallpaper was coming off in some areas, and the TV was difficult to work. The bed and pillows were hard as a rock. The ice machine only had ice one out of the three times we tried. Is it the most luxurious hotel? No, but for the price you really can’t beat it.
- 5/5
Clean and very friendly staff in a quieter area. Great value.
- 5/5
my stay was cool ! i enjoyed it and if i have to come back to NY i will definitely book with them.
- 5/5
Awesome property. Very clean and friendly staff.
- 4/5
I did not like the breakfast. The area around the hotel was also not very clean.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 3/5
Average price
- 4/5
Hard to park sometimes, as spaces are limited and very narrow. In general good hotel
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious. Overall a great experience.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly very cooperative everything was smooth the place was clean and everything was in its place the one thing I didn't like was the ice machine it took a very long to make new ice and when it did make the new ice it was only a few pieces it's very inconvenient no one wants to spend a majority of their stay ice sitting otherwise than that everything was good I definitely would recommend and try this hotel again just would make sure I brought my cooler with my ice bag already in it.
- 5/5
Clean and efficient hotel. For NYC the room was spacious. It's also easy to get to the metro.
- 4/5
Good hotel, good area, close to transportation - Subway stop is an express stop so you can be in the city within minutes - highway not far either - Good breakfast - rooms are good and clean
- 4/5
Decent hotel if you need to be in that area
- 4/5
Nice basic, clean hotel when your on a budget.
- 3/5
Convenient location. Near subway stn. Good pizza nearby.
- 5/5
Nice place close to sub station. Up and coming area still growing pains
- 2/5
Did not start off good, check in time was 3pm and I called a day before asking if I could check in earlier and they said okay. Once I got there and tried checking in they said no and told me to comeback at 3..
- 3/5
Friendly staff and adequate breakfast
- 3/5
The neighborhood around the hotel was a little sketchy. Restaurants were close by and within walking distance, however, there was concern over our safety, when out and about.
- 5/5
If I had anything to complain about, it would be parking can be pretty tight. Although we never personally had an issue finding a spot, I can see how it would be difficult if it was busier or on a weekend. But 10/10. Would stay again
- 2/5
N
- 3/5
It was an overnight pre cruise stay. It needs a LOT of maintenance and upkeep, it the location was good, the host was nice, the ‘breakfast’ is… well… go to Big John’s around the corner instead. For the price, it served its purpose
- 5/5
Great room for the price
- 5/5
We were looking for a quiet, clean place to sleep after spending each day out on the town with family in Brooklyn. This place was great, even accommodating several requests from us (early check in, extra pillows). It's basic, not fancy, but we felt welcome, safe, and comfortable. Will use this hotel on our next trip.
- 4/5
Basic, good parking. Very small rooms: tiny.
- 5/5
This hotel is quiet, clean and front desk worker very professional.
- 5/5
My new little favorite stay. Clean, nice service & friendly. I appreciate the service here
- 3/5
…..,
- 5/5
The rooms were very spacious and clean and loved that they had free parking in the back! Metro is very close by too!
- 5/5
The location was close to the subway. Good little pizza place right down the road. Staff was attentive.
- 3/5
This hotel did the job for a solo stay in Brooklyn. Easy access to subway, sunset park and Chinatown within walking distance. Cleanliness was mediocre, the floor next the door was very dusty. The room had a piece of wood with nail in it when I went in. Overall looked old. Probably would stay here again if only choice, otherwise look for something else at this price point.
- 5/5
Great hotel , very convenient, near the cruise terminal, free breakfast and parking and the view
- 4/5
Clean, convenient. Would stay again. Deposit was returned within 3 days of check out.
- 5/5
near subway to city, great price, industry city nearby with Japan town, Fourth Avenue full of funky eateries like Gravesend Piazza and Big John cafe.
- 3/5
Rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is basic. Parking is horrendous and limited. Staff were present but not friendly! In all it was doable!
