La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Phoenix I-10 West

I looked for a motel specifically for the hot tub, it and the exercise room were out of order, would have chosen another further out of phoenix and in a better location

Booked this hotel to use the gym and it was out of service. The location is FULL OF HOMELESS PEOPLES EVERYWHERE. Super ghetto. Did not feel safe with my vehicle outside. On top of that I was towing a small trailer and they refused to let me park in their parking lot. The parking lot was pretty much empty when I arrived and in the morning when I left it was still empty. Forced me to park my truck and trailer outside on the street next a bunch of homeless and crackheads. Would not stay here again.

The cleaning lady that was making sure the breakfast was set was very welcoming and informative about services the hotel offered. She engaged in friendly conversation and made suggestions for our visit. Absolutely amazing!!

The fitness room was out of order but the pool was great! So refreshing, lots of seating with even a cabana like area. The room was so clean when we entered and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was great (loved the waffle bar!). Only wished they had non fruit infused water available during the day as well and our room wasn’t turned down in between our stay one of the days. But overall it was great! Would 100% stay again!

I’ve stayed ay other la Quinta’s before and never had a problem , this one was dissapointing since the moment I arrived , we couldn’t find anywhere to park our trailer other than the street , the person in the reception was not helpful at all an to top it off hair was all over our restroom . Never again will I stay here .

I liked that the staff was friendly and helpful plus it was located close to our venue that we were there for. I didn't know the kind of area it was in, not that the homeless bothered us or came on the property, but just looking out our window and seeing them just wandering back and forth or just sitting there in a pile was sad. Then you begin to wonder when the property has tall gates all around it except for where you enter and you think that maybe La Quinta had a problem with them in the past. We were only there for two nights, so there's not much to go on.

The property itself is ok. There was no body wash in the shower. I asked the maid for some, then at night I went downstairs and they said they didn’t have any. Then two days later, I asked for our room to be made up and was told there were no appointments left. At the end of 3 nights we did get the room made up. I don’t want to pay $220/night and have to make my own bed. I had to go downstairs every night to ask for clean washcloths and a bath mat. The breakfast was only good one of the 4 days. I would not stay there again

I think the hotel was in a perfect place. It made my quick little trip to Phoenix. Very convenient close to shops food gas stations pretty central to where I need to go while I was there. Property was nice looking bed was comfortable. Everything was clean.

The beds were too soft and felt like you were going to sink. The room wasn't that clean and it wasn't as nice as some of the other Wyndham resorts. Much too expensive for the accomodations.

The pet area was just some left over pieces of fake grass soaked in urine and smelled terrible with the heat. Also my room was missing the entire bed comforter and it was super cold.

We had a reservation for the following week, we decided to cancel it at that time. She just said we had to call Expedia and cancel ourselves. When we where drinking coffe, the front desk lady threw the dirty bag in the trash can next to us in the dinning area. We left immediately. That was disgusting. We didn’t mind the noisy air extractor in the bathroom, the worn out carpet, or the breakfast service. When we ask for scrambled eggs, the lady said she had just cold boiled eggs in the refrigerador. They will serve scrambled eggs on Wednesday, and it was Tuesday. Our luck! ☹️

My wife and I stayed four nights. We requested the room to be cleaned and the towels replaced with the desk staff. We were assured that we were on the list to be cleaned that day. It didn’t happen. The room tv did not turn on properly. It required that you change the input before it worked. There were no instructions on how to turn on the tv. Frustrating!

The Pool and Hot Tub were not working and they did not say anything about it when I made the reservation. That was one of the main reasons I booked that Hotel, very disappointing for sure.

Room was clean upon arrival. Since Wyndam took over, La Quinta cleans your room every 3 days and were not informed about this change. So no clean towels, and no trash pickup. We took down our own trash. Breakfast was edible but that’s it. Even if you request your room to be cleaned, there is no guarantee it will happen. Lots of homeless folks around this location. Would not return.

Manager was extremely helpful & professional regarding a problem we had trying to cancel an extra day without a charge. clean room, comfy bed, & outstanding staff. However pool was not operational, it was empty.

The room was comfortable, but when arrived back to the hotel room wasn’t cleaned, kept having to go get towels and rags instead of it being brought to the room. My keycard kept deactivating, the service representative the male he was professional, not sure when speaking.

We paid $40 extra to check in early (because our room was held hostage if we didn't). This allowed us to get ready for the Fiesta Bowl. When we returned back after midnight we went to bed and heard 3 dogs next door barking periodically. We shared a wall with the room with the loud dogs. Barely slept that night and then had to drive 6 hours back to San Diego with little sleep. Talked to front desk and she did not seem concerned at all. Will probably neve stay at a La Quinta again if this is the level of empathy and customer service they have.

They only clean the rooms every 3rd night even if you ask them to clean it sooner

Firstly the breakfast was of woeful quality and all of the food was bordering on toxic. They even had s plastic/ silicone based non stick spray to put on the on waffle machine. Secondly they failed to do our housekeeping or refresh towels, despite our having spoken to the housekeeping staff outside our room when we departed for the day. Would recommend staying somewhere else.

The rest on was for dusty and the television turned off which s message that had to do with the server. There was a roach on one of the towels that supposedly had yo be clean since it was stored underneath the sink, it seems they don’t bother to clean or fumigate. Horrible!!!!!

The room was in good condition, but it is unfortunate that they only make up the rooms every third day. We were only staying 3 days, so our room was not cleaned during our stay. We had to ask for fresh towels. We will look at other options if this cleaning policy is the new normal.

It was very clean but I just wish the customer service was better. We needed toliet paper and we had to go down and get it. Also the breakfast was not good at all. I did like that they had fresh coffee all day long. It was perfect for this cold weather.

Staff was nice and courteous. However, we were on a 4-day stay and our key cards stopped working after the first day, a minor annoyance, but quickly fixed by the front desk person. The room was missing an item or 2, but we were able to get the items from the maid. Like I said the staff was great, my main issue was the area, which was pretty sketchy. I'll have to do a better job of checking reviews next time I pick a hotel in the area.

I understand you don’t change daily our bed sheets and towels because of water responsibility but you can make our beds and take out the trash, we understand water concern but cleaning up shouldn’t be every 3 days

Having read the reviews after booking, i was pretty nervous. However, there was no need. The room and common areas were clean and safe and coming and going from the parking lot was fine. The bed was comfortable and id be fine recommending this location or staying there again.

when I first pulled up into the hotel, I can see that it was a crowd of homeless, and drug addicts. I rented a suite which was comfortable for three people. I take a trip to Arizona every year to spend time with My Daughter and her seven children for birthdays, anniversaries graduations so I always get a nice hotel this time. I decided to get a hotel that wasn’t too far from my daughter’s home. They have some very nice hotels in Arizona so I decided to give this one and to my disappointment, this hotel was not it. The tubs was dirty, and I was told that due to me having one guest in a three room suite that they would not accommodate for my guest, which was only one my daughter, so in order for me to get clean towels, I had to go to the front desk and ask for whatever room service I needed it I feel like this hotel micromanage you and they watch your every move me and my husband and my daughter really did not even spend time at the hotel. We would sleep there get up in the morning and we would leaving and would not come back until the late night. The view from the Room was unpleasant, I’m not going to say why. This hotel smelled old and not family friendly. It’s for people whom work out of town and come in and need a place to stay overnight. Don’t take your family here because this is not a family hotel. This is a truck drivers hotel and construction workers.

Our stay was one night and the people above us were very noisy. The room was very nice the bathroom very roomy. While waiting for an Uber to take us to the Charlie Kirk memorial I grabbed a muffin from the breakfast buffet. There wa nobody else in the entire room. A female at the front desk confronted me about using tongs. When I apologize and said I touched nothing but the muffin she grew angry and called the police on me to trespass me. I will never come to your facility again and would recommend everyone else avoid it

Dirty lobby. Debris in hallway for multiple days. Homeless and other vagrants constantly milling around property. Multiple texts per day stating that my room would not be serviced by housekeeping. Could not get a receipt emailed to me after multiple requests.

I have not received my receipt for my stay at this location. I was told that because I did business with expedia, my receipt would be sent via email. My stay at this location was very nice, but my experience with expedia has been subpar to say the least! You took my money, but haven't sent my receipt.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and pet friendly plus La Quinta is the cheapest hotel for pet fees. Enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. Would recommend.

We had problems during our stay but the staff listened to our concerns.

The only complaint I would say is the rooms had a weird smell to it. It was a non-smoking room but the only way I can compare the scent is like a cat litter box. But the room was very clean other than that.

I know the reviews talked about the area surrounding in the hotel, but I had no issues. The pool is clean too.

The service team was rude & full of eco, worst customer service ever. They don’t have basic service manner for their guests. I extended two additional night staying to night clerk, who mistakenly extended 1 night instead. In the morning, instead of just correcting their error & resolve the problem, the front desk accused me lying. Then, they ignored my repetitive requests for room cleaning..later argued that I put out the tags which their cleaners couldnt read English; thus, got confused & didn’t want to enter. Oh my god, it’s their own hotel green cleaning door tag.. and again, instead of apologizing to the customers & get the cleaning done, they blamed on the customers. Horrible horrible customer service..

Here are our complaints/things we felt were weird: -we were told at check in that their new policy is that cleaning services/staff would not enter our room at all during our stay unless we call to request it. On our first day, we left to get lunch, only to come back and realize our room keys stopped working and so did everyone elses. Then we found out while we were gone, the cleaning staff did in fact go in our rooms, which in turn afterwards is when all of our keys stopped working. Weird. -while the hotel is nice inside, clean inside and very well lit throughout inside. The outside is a different story. The surrounding area is run down outside the gate and there are homeless and tweakers everywhere all hours of the day and night. The gate never closes on the el polo loco side of the parking lot, theres holes in the ground under the cemet parts of walls where people have crawled through to what we assumed would be to get to cars outside of cameras views. There is minimal lighting in the parking lot as well. -in our room, room 205, there was a decent amount of water damage and mold in our shower. Sagging ceiling around the light, mold and the wall leading up to the ceiling in the shower, water damage around the tub overflow hole and handles. Aside from thess things, I still give the experience a 4/5 stars because the staff was so happy, kind and friendly!

This property was average. I found the staff to be helpful and the breakfast was decent. The condition of my room could have been better, it was older and could use a remodel. The bathtub had rust and the water drained slowly. It's just average.

The property felt very un safe went to my car and people were sitting on it with there drinks ask to please get off and got made fun of i reported to the front desk and they canceled my stay why im not really sure so when i was leaving she was out there with them smoking and laughing will never stay there again...

room was near back stairwell and the elevator was inop so had alot of noise from the stairwell door constantly closing. no real pet area. no towel racks so all were on the small bath counter. and couldnt be hung to dry.. finally we have stayed at other la quinta inns but this one charged an early ck in fee. and we werent that early.

No safe in room. Our rooms deadbolt didnt work. We were chargedcan early check in fee of $40 for Arrival qhr and 50 minutes early which to me is ridiculous. The lady at the desk when we checked in had zero personality. The room and hotel appeared to be clean. There is an el pollo loco and raising canes in the lots adhacent to the hotel. .

Check in wasn’t what it should be. For someone that use to work for a hotel check in is one of the biggest parts for guests. Knowing the time breakfast is and important things like if the main entrance is going to be locked and we need to use other doors is something that should be said at check in. The lady working was very rude from the time I got there to check in. I got there after 7pm after driving from California 15hr drive to pick my daughter up from college. After I had gotten checked in I had to leave to go pick my daughter up and got back around 9pm something. My younger daughter was feeling sick from the drive so I gave her my key to go the room. I went though the main entrance where the same lady seen me standing there so I picked up phone and asked if she could let me in. She didn’t want to and said I need my key. I told her I didn’t know the door was going to be locked and my daughter had taken mine because she felt like she was going throw up. She finally open the door then said I can’t come that way. I told her sry my daughter wasn’t feeling good and I just came back from my other daughter college. She was very rude. If this is how it then this needs to be said from the beginning not just leaving a note on the door saying if you KNOCK ON THE DOOR YOU'LL BE CHARGED 250. From the beginning she was rude on her phone talking to someone. If all this was said in the beginning and her not her phone it could have been avoided. Very disappointed with the check-in.

It was clean had a great pool. Staff was mostly friendly except for the breakfast server who was rather rude. The wifi was horrible. Kept dropping signal. Had to reconnect several times a day. We were sad that there weren’t many eggs at breakfast. The key cards and doors were a nightmare. Had to have them rekeyed ever time we re-entered the hotel.

Key cards did not work every guest had problems with that also anytime we went to the pool there was no towels we had to request extra towel they were hard to get some of the staff at the front desk was hardly there it was hard to get towels to go to the pool the sheets were dirty the first night we thought there they did very little as far as discounting through my Triple A was in applied they couldn't refund my $50 credit I was very unsatisfied I wouldn't recommend it I probably wouldn't stay there again

The front desk agent was warm and accomodating. When I asked for dinner recommendations they were quick to offer up a couple of solid suggestions. I do feel welcome here.

I was disappointed. It is an old building

Property was very clean and smelled fresh. Breakfast had a great variety of options. After reading the bad reviews I was hesitant to stay there but nothing I read was correct, I would definitely stay again.

Only one night but breakfast was great. Mentioned the toilet seat being loose to the front office

Card key only worked for a couple of hours. Had to get a new one everytime I stepped out. Front door broken and sealed off. Had to enter through the side (which was a challenge when you need key card to open the side doors).

The problem is the location. There are many homeless people who appear to be on drugs and hotel is not in a safe location.

When I addressed my concerns at the front desk. Robin was very rude and dismissive..

Close to freeway and good continental breakfast is always a plus!

Went so we could be closer to the talking stick amphitheater for a concert. It was a good choice. Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff. Just in a sketchy part of phoenix. Lots of homelessness in surrounding areas, with that said, I felt safe at this hotel.

Couch had stains, bed was clean and comfortable, mirrored closet kinda creepy. But for one night stay, no issues with the room. Yes homeless outside across the street, not on property, fenced in property. We did ask for extended stay, was told at checkin that it would be $40 extra from 11-1, I called in the morning to confirm since room service showed up, the “manager stated that we hadn’t received the extended stay and it was $40 for 11-12 and $55 for 11-1! So I told her we were told $40 for 11-1, she advised me that she was the manager and it is $55, we had no choice. When we got the receipt at checkout, the $40 from the night before was credited on the receipt and a $40 charge was placed that morning WITH an additional $15 charge. Breakfast was like a normal hotel breakfast, nothing spectacular, had good variety.
