Candlewood Suites Plano North by IHG

Room had a full size fridge and decent kitchenette with a microwave and coffee maker as well as a dishwasher. Some dishes and silverware was provided, but no coffee and not even a filter for the machine. Bathroom was clean, but the shower drain was clogged and the water drained really slow. There are a few EV chargers (2 Tesla chargers and 2 universal) in the parking lot, and I had no issues charging my car. Area is ok, and there are a few restaurants in the vicinity as well as a Target across the street. Easy access to the 75.

I didn't like that it had a connected door to another room. I felt very unsafe. I ended up checking out and going somewhere else. Also this place smelled like weed and cigarettes.

Air conditioner needs attention, bathroom need a little attention otherwise perfect place

Filth on the curtains, odd brown drink stain on the side of the recliner, led lighted mirror would not work and looked burnt out, fan in the bathroom wouldnt work, ac in the room barely cooled so this made sleeping unbearable as the room would get extremely hot. The bathroom was not clean and the bed was unkempt when coming into the room.

The barbecue area had a lot of people drinking beer and partying every night. My son and I walked by and a man was urinating in the corner. The hotel seemed more like a rental property with a lot of people hanging out all over. I didn’t really enjoy the property. It’s a shame because the room was roomy and had a nice kitchen area. No breakfast here. Won’t stay here again . The front reception was very attentive and texted to make sure stay was good everyday.

The staff was very nice, courteous, and helpful. I was pleased with the cleanliness of my room and the bed was comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I return to the Plano area.

Hotel has a very heavy perfume smell in the halls. All I can guess trying to cover up something. My friend had to change rooms 3 times to get a room that didn't have a dirty sock smell. My room was ok, bed was great room was clean. Could smell smoke from other rooms when entering the bathrooms at night. I got a non smoking room but other next to me must not have been. All share a vent for the bathrooms. No problems as far as Parking or sercuirty.

The AC in our room was broken; I don't feel the situation was handled properly. There wasn't any urgency to get it fixed even though we are in Texas. We checked out a day early.

In room right next to front desk, weird to be able to see front desk from peephole in door. Room large but appeared to be missing some furniture. Nicely updated kitchen area and bathrooms. Would stay again in a room further from front desk!

Check in was satisfactory. If I had not arrived at the property very late, I would have requested another room. Room smelled of cat urine, the bathroom floor was quite dirty and the air conditioner was very loud.

MICROWAVE OVEN NOT WORK THEY BROUGHT EXTRA SMALL MICROWAVE TOOK UP SPACE, NEVER GOT HOUSEKEEPING RAN OUT OF TOILET TISSUE!! We got a complaint to quiet down when it was just me and my two kids AND WE WERE NOT LOUD!!! Cars without tags in handicap spaces made it very difficult to me WHO DOES NEED A SPACE AND HAVE MY TAG! And i had to cancel my card because they are charging over $500 for 2 towels that i stained with hair dye. After they already took the $100 deposit plus the 5 day stay!!!

Things could have been better, with the cleanliness. And the smell throughout the hotel, there was trash in the hotel hall way from one of the patrons rooms,as well as unsupervised children.

I always enjoy staying at IHG properties because every time the service is great, the equality of the rooms is top-notch, and the amenities are great as well. Now other people may have different opinions, but it was fine for me.

I loved the spacious room and it had the most comfortable bed. The parking was safe and accessible. I loved my stay here and would definitely come back.

Laundry room needs more w/d & ventilation of fresh air. Rooms need windows that open for fresh air & room ventilation. More informative Front Desk Agents regarding how to obtain savings on best rates would be helpful. Room needs brighter lighting: overhead light in main area of room.

Nice property. Very clean but starting to show it's age. Would love to see it have upgraded beds, new carpet, and renovated showers. That said, I would definitely stay again.

i liked the size of the room and the guest computer in the lobby. also, very attentive staff. the location in proximity to restaurants and outlet mall stores was a definite plus! i was placed in an adjoining room and it was too close for comfort seeing how i didn't know who was next door. also, there was no ice tray in my freezer and upon asking the staff, one couldn't be found on the property either.and then, there was always a small entourage in the very small smoking area on the back patio.

Our room had a bit of cigarette smell. Difficult to sleep at night due to thin walls and being able to hear and feel the elevator movements two rooms away. Could hear any noise in the hallway with the door closed. And any sounds adjacent guests made. I don’t recommend this hotel if you like it to be quiet when trying to sleep.

We tried to check in for this stay shortly after midnight and were turned away saying that the property policy was that if they had not heard from the people on the reservation by 7 PM, even if already paid for, they cancelled the reservation. We were left without a place to stay for the night. The desk clerk was also very rude about it.

Good location 1 dining chair in the room for 2 people, so tricky to sit and eat, fridge not working on arrival (was fixed the following day) but thought this would’ve been checked, kitchen area floor was very dirty!

The original room smelled. The attendant then swore the smell was their brand of carpet cleaner and there was no other room with a king bed available only to find on 2 minutes later. That room did not smell but had roaches.

Toilet did not flush then when the maintenance person fixed it the toilet fill line started leaking and it took another day to get someone back to fix it, the room also had a heavy odor of cat urine, there were no towels in the room when we checked in

The room was very smelly, and when we asked the staff to change it the employee over there who was Indian mail refused to change the room and he said that all the rooms smell like this all of our stuff started smelling like that terrible smell, and all of our clothes and luggage and everything else was smelling that way alsoI don’t think I’m going to stay at this hotel again

I got there late and was told I didn't have a reservation. Then he found it. SO I go to the room. It smelt like cigarettes. Then I kept hearing what sounded like someone above me rolling their suitcase all around the room. I thought it was usual at 11pm. But then noticed it still at 1AM. So all night long I heard this. Hard to sleep. Still hearing it the next morning. Bed was comfortable

Very nice room.

The bed was comfortable. The staff was more than accommodating, and helped me without complaint. The issue here is the smell. There is a definite smell once you enter the lobby, which only intensified in our room. The Carpet was the primary culprit I think. It was a Body Odor smell that was actively fighting a bad deodorizer.

I did not like the pillows on the bed,they were extremely flat and very uncomfortable. The blanket on the bed was too thin,the hotel should offer you extra blankets.

Checking in was easy, we went straight to our room after an exhausting day. The room was okay, I know it could have been better. The carpet in between the two queen beds was tearing apart. The remote needed a back to it, so the batteries were taped in. The wall decor had one picture frame no picture. Someone must had broken the glass from a previos stay. The bathroom the floor could have been cleaner you. I know its cosmetic, but the back of the bathroom door could have been fixed due to a dog scratching up the door from another stay since there is $100.00 deposit you get back after your stay Thankfully our beds were good to sleep in.

The room smelled awful and the carpet was soaking wet, to the point that water squished out when I stepped on it. The hotel could not provide another room, but gave me a very loud industrial fan to try and dry the carpet. Later, I found roaches, both dead and alive, in the bathroom and kitchen. There was no hot water and the water from the faucet smelled really bad. I checked out early, and the staff was very helpful when receiving my complaint. The manager did call me, apologized, and refunded my stay, so I have no issue with the staff. I hope they are able to turn things around.

They did not clean my room for three days that I stayed there.

Made a reservation for three rooms, ac wasn't working on two of them, shower's wster pressure was low on mine, thankfully I was able to switch to a different room but I'm not staying here again, it's an overpriced motel 6

I checked in late in the evening. The clerk had a bunch of little girls in the lobby playing and watching tv, loudly. I assume they were her children. When I was going to my room, there was loud music in the hallway, which eventually turned into very loud partying in the room next to mine that went on until well past midnight. My room had ROACHES!! Lots of them! I had to kill them in the bathroom and kitchen and I slept with my luggage on my bed with me. I went down to the fitness center , but neither of the treadmills worked. The tub faucet was falling out of the tub, and a panel on the bathroom wall came crashing down during my shower! This is a terrible place to stay and Expedia does not need to recommend it ever again!

There were roaches in crawling on the floor and walls. No hot water in bathroom. Staff apologized and said she would speak with her supervisor (not available to speak with per front desk) We left just Horrible!!!!!

Everything was excellent. The staff was probably the best I ever experienced at a hotel. The room by far was the best room I ever stayed in. The only problem I had, was it needed a hand held shower head. And it needed a vent in the bathroom. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Thanks

I return to the desk at 3, and was told the cleaning staff would let them know when they have rooms ready. I sat in the lobby until 4:30, checking every 20 minutes or so. A couple walks in and wants to check in. 2 minutes later they have their keys. I ask "what the heck?" I was told, because they booked directly with us, they have priority. Grrrr Get to my room (supposed to be a single king bed) and was given 2 queens instead. Air conditioner didn't work. But when I called to let them know, I was told all other rooms were already filled now. What the heck!! Will never stay there again

Our room had full size fridge, dishwasher, cooktop, and large desk area. These rooms are perfect for the business traveler. Only complaint is bathroom was poorly lit for putting on makeup.

The entire place stunk. The rooms and the elevators and the floors were all very dirty and stunk too. I was in 3 rooms total, each dirtier than the last, and by midnigjt i was ready to go sleep in my vehicle instead. My last room smelled like death and burnt old starch. This place is not worth the $100 a night and I'd like a refund. Management will be contacted today. This hotel should not even be in the good category on hotels.com. Its nowhere near that.

Hotel was severely understaffed and the cleanliness was not great. Elevator smelt of smoke and the room/kitchen was not very clean.

The beds were so comfortable and also loved the extra lighting on the bathroom mirror. I will definitely stay in the hotel again when in Plano.

My only complaint is the bad tv service. There is no channel guide nor is there an on screen guide, which you would finde in every other hotel/motel including the cheap and crappy ones and there were not any streaming apps on the TV. In this case the ice storm closures made the tv a bigger necesity. I would suggest bring a HDMI cable and a laptop if you have to spend time in the hotel other than sleeping.

It was good value, clean and in a good location. The only downsides were that noise carried from the lobby and other rooms and the lighting of the room was very bright.

The walls are thin, you can hear everything going on around and above you. The bed was comfortable.

The people were cool but the hotel wasn’t as clean as I expected. My room smelled heavily of smoke, I couldn’t control the heat and air conditioning, abs the water temperature was absolutely low. The walls were filthy. Also the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty. I could tell they had been ran through the wash but there were lots of food still stuck on the utensil. I loved the bbq area and all the stores that were so close by

The hotel facility was clean. The front desk staff was helpful. Shopping and restaurants in the area are on point. This is an extended stay hotel. I was not aware that housekeeping would not go into my room unless I requested it. We were there for four nights as a family. We ran out of towels and toilet paper. We had to go to the front desk to get these items. Dirty towels were never picked up. No one came to ask if we needed to the trash taken out. We gathered it up and placed it outside in the hallway. I have stayed in other extended stay hotels before but housekeeping came in everyday. This was new for me or maybe I just haven’t learned the proper etiquette of this type of hotel.

First, there is no phone in the room. The front desk gentleman had to transport a phone from a different room to mine. Second, I asked for a kitchen sponge to do some light dishes. The lady at the front desk promised to provide one but that never materialized despite my multiple requests. Third, the walls are rather thin so if you unfortunately have a rowdy neighbor (pets or young kids), then you will be made aware of their every bang and roar. If you're looking for a nice clean room, then this one will suffice, but don't expect anything that will "blow" you away.

Did not like all the dogs in the rooms, barking too loud, too often.
